"Talk." No word of greeting, no acknowledgement of their shared past, just the demand, Sakura could almost laugh. Once upon a time, they would have given each other the world the moon and the stars. Now here she was, in a dungeon with seals all around her. Her magic a thing they had twisted darkened, drained from her, and still he demanded she talk.

She remained laying down, her back to him, what else could he do to her? What more could the Uchiha take her from her? She focused on the shackles on her wrist, played with the idea of raising them to the light Sasuke's torch provided. She had yet to have proper look on them after all, but after weeks of being in the dungeon, there was little in the form of entertainment.

"Did you not hear me?"

She ignored him, again, this time he approached, she heard the guards take a breath the only sign they were present, afraid of what would happen. As if the seals on the walls of the dungeon were nonexistent, as If the seals on her skin were nothing more than aesthetically pleasing. She sat up then, and heard the guards draw their swords, but her eyes were on Sasuke. "I will speak to you, and you alone."

"You are in no position to make demands."

"And you are in no position to reject them. Your eyes do not work on me, within my veins runs the blood of the Senju and Uzumaki." She paused, ready to gauge his reaction, "and for nine months I carried the blood of the Uchiha." She said it like it was nothing to her, a simple fact of her existence, she saw the fury and disbelief, felt the killing intent, felt the fear of the guards behind her. She could not help but laugh at the irony, the guards cared more for her than the man she had loved with everything she had to give.

"Leave!" He yelled at the guards, in their rush to get out, she heard at least one of them stumble and fall. His anger felt suffocating in the small dungeon, but she found she did not care.

"What pathetic protection you have," she could not help but comment.

"Why did you not tell me you were pregnant?"

"You are nothing but a lie." Was her answer, making sure to look him in the eyes, to find any glimpse of who she had known.

"You asked to speak to me alone, here we are alone. Answer."

"I did."

Sasuke must have sensed that was the only answer he would receive, and continued, "why did you kill my son?" His eyes were red, no doubt if he could he would be using them on her now, she smiled at the thought.

"I did what I had to do, and how beautifully he burned."

"You killed an infant an innocent child." She should be on fire with the way he was looking at her.

"Yes, and you killed the rest of the Senju." There was no accusation in her voice, she could not have it in her to hold any anger anymore. "It was not revenge; it was a necessity nothing more."

"A necessity? What mother kills their own child?" The worse kind, Sakura's thoughts must have shown on her face, because there was moment of hesitation, before he added, "Madara asked me to spare you. He said keeping you in the dungeons was a good punishment but that ultimately the decision was mine." He did not look at her as he said,"you will be executed tomorrow by my own hand."

He turned to leave, but before he reached the door, she stopped him, "how considerate of Madara, he did always cheer for us. Even as he slaughtered my family, and even as he invited you to join him. He must care for you so deeply to be so involved even in this, your dead son's fate."

"HE WAS OUR SON! OURS! You were his mother and you did not bother to give him a name! You killed him without a care and did not leave behind a body for me to mourn!" She did not flinch at his words. She ignored them and continued.

"Whatever happens tomorrow, do not forget to give Madara my thanks for caring so much about the child, and that nothing gives me more joy than to know that the child will never be anywhere near him. If nothing more it will change his mind about the execution and see that your actions were indeed warranted." She stood from her bed, "the sooner you give him the message the more grandiose the event will be!"

"Turn my death into a holiday, a day that honors mothers!" He left then, only giving her a look of disgust, she laid back down, and waited. Madara would take action she was not sure how, but she knew she was not going to die tomorrow. Madara needed her alive, she was the last of the Senju left, it was only a shame she had not managed to anger Sasuke enough to kill her here and now.

A/N: so this au... uhm you are welcome? so there are probably a lot of questions, and this is the first thing I've written in beginnings that I feel I have to write notes for and decided that as I wrote it and the story just came to me, cursed is more of as I went I realized this could not go on without notes... this one I was like "do not forget any detail"... but I guess spoiler alert, Sakura is not the villain (though I'm pretty sure mentioning Madara makes that obvious)… also Sakura told two lies in this exchange, let me know if you figure them out
