Orochimaru counted the seconds, twenty, nineteen, eighteen. It had only been a matter of time, seventeen, before this meeting would occur. The only thing making it take so long was the eyes all around his cell. Sixteen, fifteen, even locked away for as long as he had no one had his resources.
Unlimited information at his disposal, even as they watched him like a lioness after its prey, they still failed to properly contain him. Now, he would be free, fourteen, thirteen, twelve, eleven. He felt himself grin, he wondered for a second how unhinged it would make him seem to his guest of honor.
He could hear them now, the bodies hitting the floor. One after another. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. He had not had so much fun as this very moment in all his life. The anticipation of his freedom, the knowledge of who was getting closer and closer, he knew this reunion was unavoidable the moment he made his move.
Four. Orochimaru could hear as he began to break through the first seal. Three. Two. He watched as the door began to open. One.
"Hello Sasuke-kun, what a lovely surprise," he gestured to his surroundings as he added, "I would invite you for some tea, but I fear we are pressed for time."
