Minato reread the contents of the letters again, one was from Kakashi, the other from his son. Naruto's simply said "sorry, please don't kill me." Which given the order he read them in had absolutely terrified him, in an "I think my son may have just caused an international incident but because it is him it is probably more embarrassing than anything" sort of way. Which he had dealt with most of Naruto's life, in fact the other Kages made fun of him about his son in their defense he joined in too.

Naruto was undoubtedly strong, but Minato was certain that the gods themselves only made Naruto so strong to make up for the lack of brain. When he read Kakashi's letter however his mind went blank, he was unsure if to be relieved or more terrified. Minato was still uncertain as to what to feel. Kakashi's letter read:

"Minato Sensei,"

Just those two words were enough to have his heart leaping from his chest, it was nerve wracking. This meant Kakashi was kissing ass, which he rarely ever did unless it was bad. From those words alone he had been ready to murder his son, he would apologize to Kushina but maybe with Naruto out of the picture they could have a second, smarter child.

"I regret to inform you that I found out too late of my team's intentions. I failed to see the true intentions my team and the Kazekage himself had for this trip. What was intended to be a simple show of friendship between Suna and Konoha, has turned into a wedding."

The first time he read those words he was unsure what it meant, did Naruto get married? Did his son get married to the young Kazekage? Was his son gay? Was he bisexual? Why had not told him? Did Kushina know?

"I believed my team to be hiding something from me throughout the trip to Suna, however I had assumed they were simply trying to prank me. That, and Sasuke and Sakura in general tend to be off in their own world most of the time. I never expected Sasuke and Sakura to get married."

When he read that, the weight he felt lifted off his shoulders could have made him float. Except it came crashing down on him with the next sentences.

"While I did not approve of their intentions, I did participate in the ceremony, as both the bride and groom asked. As you know they are both only sixteen and are still terrified of their parents the happy couple asks that as a wedding present you be the one to pass the news along to their parents. They say they will not come back until they feel their parents have calmed down enough."

Minato wanted to laugh, but more than anything he wanted to cry. Those cowardly brats had left him the responsibility of announcing the news to their parents. He reread Kakashi's letter again, for the first time noticing something else attached to it, a copy of the wedding certificate, and two pictures of the happy bride and groom. With one small note attached with Sakura's handwriting that said, "Kakashi make sure to send the pictures one for my parents, and the other for Sasuke's parents. Tell Hokage-sama to not give the pictures until they have calmed down." Kakashi had clearly been lazy about it.

Part of Minato had hoped that it was a prank, that Naruto had somehow convinced Kakashi to prank him like this. Unfortunately, the pictures, the copy of the certificate proved otherwise. It was supposed to be a simple escort mission to Suna not a fucking honeymoon. Naruto could have warned him, he could have told him. He could have said, "those lovebirds on my team are planning to get married, dad don't let em go on a mission together." That little bastard had even supported them, and now it was Minato's job to clean this mess up. Well, he hoped the little love birds enjoyed their honeymoon, all the members of the team were now going to be doing C-rank missions until his anger passed. This included Kakashi, Kakashi was playing innocent now, but he had to have known.

Nothing slipped past Kakashi he knew and let them get away. He was a sucker for Sasuke and Sakura's relationship, always defending them saying there was no need to split the team. As if those lovebirds didn't often disappear in the middle of missions. Minato only knew because Naruto would always complain about those two disappearing, but as no official complaint had ever been filed; on top of the special circumstances of the curse mark Orochimaru had placed on Sasuke there was nothing Minato could do.

Minato summoned three ANBU members, "you," he said pointing to one in a cat mask, "bring me the Haruno's immediately." The ANBU nodded, and left, to the one in a fox mask, "bring me Uchiha Mikoto, and Uchiha Fugaku." They left, to the last one remaining, "tell my wife I will be late, and that if she receives a letter from Naruto," which he had no doubt was probably already in her hands. "That it is all lies, and I will explain it to her later." He would play innocent tell Kushina how he had no idea. Claim he had nothing to do with it, but he didn't know Kakashi had already said too much.

The ANBU took his mask off, revealing Shisui's face behind it, "what did they do? Is Sakura-chan pregnant?" Instead of looking concerned, he looked excited.

"Shisui, go. You'll find out soon enough."

"She is!? Fugaku is going to blow a casket!"

"Shisui."

"Can I be here when you tell them?"

"Shisui!"

"Fine, I know when I am not wanted."

A/N: there are so many little details in this AU that I have planned but this one isn't really plot heavy tbh it's more of different points in their relationship. I'm not even too sure on the title because like I said it's not really a plot or a story it's more of an AU that just exists
