"She is really beautiful.
She is shy.
She is smart.
So kind.
She is my soulmate."
Naruto had told him those words many times. He had yet to meet the new girlfriend. Sasuke had seen no point in it, Naruto switched girlfriends more often than he switched underwear. But the way Naruto drooled over her was new and tiring. Sasuke was half tempted to start wearing earplugs around Naruto again. He had believed Naruto had learned to be quiet and calm now that they were twenty six, but he should have really known better.
"I already picked out the ring, she likes simple things." Sasuke fought the urge to roll his eyes because red flags were flying all around. "So it should be ready by her birthday and that's when I will ask, don't tell anyone."
"Isn't it too soon? You have only been dating for three months."
"When you know, you know. Trust me on this, one day it will be your turn, you are too immature yet for love."
"Didn't you say she is younger than us?"
"Yes." Naruto seemed to hesitate at the angle the conversation was moving in. This raised even more red flags.
"Naruto," finally giving Naruto his full attention. "How old is your girlfriend?" Naruto gave him a sheepish look.
"Age is nothing but a number." He answered weakly.
Disgust was the only way to describe what he felt towards Naruto in that moment. "Are you dating a minor!?"
"She is eighteen, but she asked me out first! We didn't know each other's ages until the third date!"
Alarm bells were ringing in his head but they were easy to ignore.
"She is really beautiful.
She is shy.
She is smart.
So kind.
She is my soulmate."
Everything Sasuke had ever heard about Sakura Haruno was wrong. Well sort of wrong, Sakura is not simply beautiful, she is gorgeous, and she knows it. She is also well aware of how to use her beauty, how to adapt her looks for her needs. As smart as she is, she could not fool him because Naruto had given him the biggest glimpse in Sakura Haruno's mind when he claimed neither knew each other's ages. Sakura is smart, even by his standards, too smart to not have recognized Naruto as Minato Namikaze's only son. The shy act was the funniest bit to Sasuke, how could someone that acted so quiet, so meek, have made the first move?. The moment he realized that, there was no going back. There was no seeing her for what she tried to portray. While her kindness was the realest aspect of her personality Sasuke could see that more than kind, she is conniving and cold.
Everything he had ever heard about Sakura Haruno was wrong, she was not Naruto's soulmate. How could she be Naruto's soulmate when she was clearly meant for him?
A/N: wrote this quickly and I hope you can't tell but you probably can. anyway I have a new tumblr and its blahandblahs... the name comes from all the excuses I have as to why I haven't updated...I accidentally deleted the other one... don't ask... just know I am stupid.
I tried something different with the style I wrote this on...
so about this story Sakura is a gold digger but Sasuke falls for her anyway. He can see through her and as far as he is concerned he has the money to keep her happy, she makes him happy, so why not steal your best friend's girl? also the reason I wanted her young (she was originally going to be their age) is that I really wanted Sakura to fall into this innocent persona, and with Sakura's main thing being her love of money she would not be able to play the role of innocent wallflower because that's not who she is in this story. She is all about the money, she doesn't care what it takes. With whom Naruto is (son a man deeply involved in poiltics) her past would have easily come up. So to hide her dark past, I made it so she couldn't have one.
