Splatoon 3: Nerdcore Concert
[Got another oneshot for you all. This story was made for me to let out my love of nerdcore music and feeling like the Splatoon world would definitely have this culture within it. Takes place two years after Side Order and my other oneshot which you all should totally check out. Agent 4 will look like the default male agent of Splatoon 2. There's gonna be a bit of suggestive and sexual themes sprinkled in so i'm warning y'all now, nothing explicit though. 70% of this story is a concert and will feature music from irl nerdcore artists Anyway, I hope you all enjoy. Note: I do not own Splatoon, just some of the plot to this story. All rights go to Nintendo and respective companies. I also don't own any of the music played in this story, rights go to the talented artists.]
"And that's gonna be the current stages for tonight's Turf Wars and Ranked matches." Marina stated before switching off the stages screen of the tv with her turntable. "That was a pretty good lineup if you ask me, Pearlie."
"I hear ya there. Think we should sneak in a match after the cast?" Pearl said slyly to her cohost, causing Marina to giggle.
"If we weren't so busy we totally could." Marina said before giving Pearl a teasing smile. "No more bets next time though, starting to run out of things to win off of ya."
"Ah, Marina, don't air out my government like that!" Pearl whined a little, face blushing lightly from embarrassment before she looked away from Marina, crossed her arms, and pouted. "I got a rep to maintain."
"Don't worry Pearlie, you're still one of the best Dually users out there. You've got nothing to worry about." Marina stated in a supportive tone. "Oh wait, before we forget."
Marina then scratched her turntable again, the tv now displaying this weekend's Splatfest; Money vs Experience vs Presents.
"Be sure to take part in the next upcoming Splatfest this weekend, hosted this time around by the Splat Lands' very own Deep Cut." Marina said, scratching on her turntable again to have the members of the idol group trio appear with their respective team; Shiver with Team Money, Frye for Team Experience, and Big Man for Team Present.
"Oh yeah! That party is going to go crazy! I think that Team Money got this in the bag though." Pearl stated cockily.
"But experiences are so much more worthwhile in life. They can be some amazing lifelong memories that stick with you forever." Marina said before gaining a thoughtful expression and blush as she looked towards Pearl. "Especially memories made with someone special in your life."
"W-while you do make a good point, I'm sticking with my money gang." Pearl stuttered out at first, clocking onto what Marina was referring too. Pearl got her smirk back as she looked towards their camera and struck a pose. "Rise up bag-chasers of the Splat world! Let's win this!"
"*giggles* May the best team win! Have fun out there everyone!" Marina said excitedly. "But it looks like that's all the time we have today. Ready Pearlie?"
"Ready babe." Pearl responded before the two got up and moved their respective stations out of the way; Pearl moving her chair and Marina moving her turntable. The two then faced the camera and struck their signature idol pose.
"Don't get cooked, stay Off the Hook!" The two said in unison, keep their pose for a bit.
"Aaaaand cut!" The Inkling director called out, causing Pearl and Marina to relax and stop posing. The two looked at each with a knowing smile and nodded to each other as their director walked up to them, looking down at some papers in his hand. "Amazing show as always ladies. Now that that show is over, let's talk about some music videos that you two would be perfect in."
"Uh, sir?" The Octoling cameraman spoke up.
"Hmm?" The director voiced out, looking towards his subordinate. The cameraman then pointed ahead of him, his boss looking forward as well and was shocked to find that the stage was now empty. "What the, where did they go!?"
Further into the studio, Off the Hook had quickly made their way back to their changing room to get ready for their night out.
"Oh man, I hope we can make it on time before he starts his set." Marina said in a frantic tone, running around the dressing room to find an outfit to wear for tonight. "I knew I should've set up an outfit last night."
"Relax babe. We still have plenty of time to make it." Pearl said in a relaxed tone, already in her outfit as was now just relaxing in a beanbag chair. Her outfit consisted of all black jeans, a light designer sweater with the color of her usual outfit with matching color high top sneakers, gold sunglasses and 2 neck chains, and her crown. She looked towards Marina to see that she finally found an outfit and had begun undressing out of her stage outfit, starting with unzipping and taking off her top before bending down to slide off her pants. Whether by accident or intentionally, Marina gave Pearl full view of her butt given that she had her back to her. Despite seeing it all the time, Pearl still found herself entranced by her girlfriend, eyes locking onto her backside as Pearl smirked and even put her glasses onto her head to get a better look at her while she changed. "Take as much time as you need~."
Marina's outfit consisted of all black leggings, green tube top, black crop top leather jacket with Pearl's emoji logo on the back, and open toe high heels. After putting on some light makeup and perfume, she was almost ready. She just needed one more thing as she turned to face Pearl.
"How do I look?" Marina asked in a rushed tone, giving Pearl a spin for her to check everything.
"Like a chocolate goddess~." Pearl said sultrily, catching Marina off guard by the statement and causing her to blush heavily.
"Pearlie~." Marina cooed, cupping her hands on her face as she felt giddy.
"It's the truth babe, though you are missing one more thing." Pearl stated as she got up and walked up to her.
"Hmm?" Marina voiced out as she got her composure back, only to lose it again when Pearl got to her and beckoned her to bend down a little. Obeying, Marina bent down until the two were face to face. Pearl proceeded to take off one of her chains and wrap it around Marina's neck, still keeping eye contact and a sly smile on her face. Marina stiffened at the action and didn't dare move, even when her girlfriend clicked on the necklace. The two stared at each other for a moment before Pearl clenched on the chain that she was still holding and pulled Marina in for a kiss, one that Marina quickly surrendered too. It started out calm at first but quickly became heated as tongue was introduced and moaning could be heard. Pearl led Marina to the beanbag chair and pulled the two into it, releasing the necklace and moving her hands to wrap around Marina, one going to the exposed part of her back and the other greedily smacking and gripping Marina's ass. Another heated moan escaped Marina as her eyes rolled up, mentally preparing herself for the ride that Pearl was about to give her until she remembered something important.
"*moans* No, Pearlie, we gotta go." Marina said with a heavy breath after reluctantly pulling away for Pearl. She got up and adjusted herself before looking towards Pearl who was still laid out on the beanbag chair with a satisfied smile on her face as she looked up at the ceiling.
"Yeah yeah, sorry I couldn't help myself." Pearl stated before looking towards her girlfriend. "You have no idea what you do to me~."
"I-it goes both ways." Marina stuttered out in a shy tone before composing herself and moving to a nearby dresser to grab some VIP passes off of it. Pearl had finally got up in the meantime. "We can continue this later, let's get out of here."
"Yes ma'am, I'll hold you to that." Pearl said, bringing her glasses back on her face before Marina grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the dressing room, quickly making their way to the parking lot.
(Octo Valley, Squidbeak Splatoon secret base)
"Callie, you ready to go!?" Marie called out, standing outside the base while tapping her foot impatiently.
"Almost~, just got to put on the finishing touches." Callie called out from her window. Marie sighed, honestly not surprised that her cousin would be taking this long. As she thought this though, a pink squid came flying out of one of the windows and landed in front of Marie, splashing a little ink that luckily didn't hit Marie. The squid then morphed into a humanoid form, revealing Callie. "And done, whatcha think sis?"
Callie gave a little twirl to show off her outfit. She wore a long sleeve, low cut romper and shorts, pink for the top and black for the shorts. She also wore a black bubble jacket, keeping it open to show off her chest. Lastly, she had black high heel ankle boots, with the bottom being all pink like she walked in her ink. Seeing her outfit, Marie gave a nod.
"Looks good." Marie said simply, causing Callie to smile brightly.
"Perfect, I'm gonna be turning heads at the party." Callie stated before looking Marie over. "Keeping it lowkey again Marie?"
Marie outfit consisted of a green fitted baseball cap, white designer sweater, half green and white turtleneck shirt with chest window, something she liked to show off with Callie to tease how she was bigger than her, white leggings, and green and white low top sneakers.
"Yep, and if you're saying that then I succeeded." Marie said with a reserved smile before turning back to the base. "Now we just gotta wait for the Captain."
"I'm here." Captain 3 said as she stepped out of the base. "Was checking on Cuttlefish to make sure he was good before we left. You two ready to go?"
As she closed the door, 3 looked behind her towards her friends/squadmates and saw that they were giving her a look of dissatisfaction.
"Girl/Dude." Callie and Marie said simultaneously.
"What?" 3 questioned, Callie gesturing to her outfit in response. 3 looked down at herself and she was wearing…her usual captain's outfit; hat, poncho, and flip flops in all. "…What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"
"Girl, you're going to a dance party, you can't go to that." Callie stated.
"Plus 4 is gonna be performing so you gotta put in a little more effort this time around." Marie said. "If I'm putting effort in then you have to as well."
"B-but 4 likes this outfit." 3 stuttered out sheepishly with an embarrassed blush on her face.
"4 likes anything you wear, we can't rely on him." Marie stated.
"This is gonna be a big night for him and you should look amazing. It'll motivate him to do his best as well as give him some eye candy." Callie stated slyly before cracking her fingers in front of her and giving 3 a devious smile. "I'll take care of this sis, it looks like my expertise is needed."
"You got it Cal. Make sure to be quick." Marie responded with a smirk. "Good luck Captain."
"W-wait, hold on, I'm sure I can pick out an outfit on my own." 3 said in an uncharacteristic panicked tone. Her pleas fell on deaf ears though as Callie transformed back into a squid and Super Jump forward, straight into 3 and causing the two to bust through the front door of the base. Marie would have been a little bit more concerned about both of them being hurt but knew that they could take hits stronger than that. Instead, Marie pulled out her phone and began looking for a replacement door while they got ready.
"Callie, the door!" 3 yelled out in a scolding tone from inside the base.
"We got the cash to fix it, don't worry. Now stand still and let me work." Callie stated before a loud tussle began with the sound of cloth being thrown about.
"Ow, hey, watch where you're touching!" 3 yelled in a flustered tone.
"Let's just get that top off…what the fuck? When did these grow in?" Callie questioned, pausing for a second before speaking again. "How the hell are you bigger than me too!?"
"Th-that is not a question I have to answer! And don't yell out stuff like that. Other people live here, you know!?" 3 yelled out, Marie raising an eyebrow at the new information she just got from her and her sister. After a few more minutes of tussling, it became quiet for a second before Callie appeared at the doorway with a bright smile on her face.
"How'd it go? It sounded like she put up a fight." Callie stated.
"Oh she did, but you know that no one beats me when it comes to fashion, even a physical fight." Callie stated proudly. "Now let me show my work."
Callie then reached to the side of her and pulled 3 out into view. Now out of her captain's outfit, 3 now wore a black form fitting designer T-Shirt [this shirt having the same logo as her original default shirt from the first game, this time in white, dark yellow leather jacket, black short shorts with a yellow stripe going down both hips, black shin length leather boots, and topped off with dark yellow designer sunglasses that she had resting on her head. Marie tilted her head as she got a good look at her captain, something that made 3 feel self conscious.
"What? Does this outfit look as weird as I feel in it?" 3 stated whilst rubbing her arm.
"Hmm, leather works really well on you." Marie stated.
"I know right!" Callie said excitedly as she moved next to her cousin to look at 3 also. "I think I did pretty well here."
"Same, 4's not gonna be able to keep his eyes off of you." Marie stated with a small smile.
"Y-you think?" 3 questioned hesitantly.
"We know, trust us." Callie stated before moving back to 3 and interlocking her arm with hers. "Now let's go, I'm sure the party is already in full swing and we're missing most of it."
Callie then began leading 3 towards the Super Jump point to get out of Octo Valley, walking past Marie. Marie then checked her pockets for a brief moment as she realized something.
"Hey sis, you remember to take the VIP passes with you?" Marie questioned, causing Callie and 3 to stop walking.
"Pfft, of course I remembered. Like I would forget something that important." Callie said confidently as she checked on her person for the passes, only to not feel them and remember that her outfit didn't have pockets. She then remembered that she put the passes in her handbag…which she forgot in her room. With a sheepish and embarrassed laugh, Callie began sidestepping herself back to the base. "But uh, I think I accidentally left my ink infuser on in my room. I should go check just in case."
After that, she dash in the base to grab her handbag, leaving 3 and Marie outside, both them sighing and shrugging at her antics.
(Anime Inkopolis, a convention center located in Inkopolis Plaza, Nighttime)
Anime Inkopolis, a yearly convention where fans and nerds alike come together to enjoy their shared interests in anime, games, and other nerd culture. Many come to meet other like minded fans, show off their homemade cosplay outfits, sell and buy fan art and merchandise, maybe even see their celebrities from their favorite. Today had drawn in a sizable crowd, making it a pretty successful day as today's events began to close up. Given that this convention takes place over multiple days, many Inklings, Octolings, and other species would be coming back again tomorrow and thus decided to head back home and rest. Others, however, would still have some excess energy to burn and would suggest looking for clubs, bars, or afterparties to go to in order to let loose and have a bit more adult fun. One such afterparty was taking place right now, just a block away from the convention center. Its owner, seeing the profit to be made, sponsored a night of partying for nerd culture fans. Given how close the club was from the convention, there was a pretty large turn out, having a long line outside leading down the sidewalk. While most who were here just tagged along with their friends to look for an afterparty to go to, some were here because they heard about who was providing the music for the main event of tonight; DJ DedF1sh in their standard stage outfit; black dress, black high heel boots, SnapBack hat, and headphones, as well as being curious on the special guest concert being performed for nerd culture fans. Inside the club down in a basement dance floor, the party was in full swing. With Acht on stage, they turned the place into a full blown rave, the dance floor becoming a moshpit of drunk grinding partygoers. All in all, it was looking like a successful party. As the rave went on, two guys; an Octoling and an Inkling were preparing their part behind the scenes.
"You ready 4?" 8 asked with a smirk, holding up a second microphone to his best friend. 8 currently wore a white button up shirt and tie, the tie slightly loosened and the top button of the shirt unbuttoned, black ripped jeans, white Punk boots, and black framed glasses.
"You know it 8." 4, real name Reggie, responded, grabbing his mic. He wore a red flannel shirt with hoodie, the shirt being opened up to show his bare chest, grey shorts, backwards snapback cap, red and black high top sneakers, and a black bandana with a skull mouth on it hanging on his neck. "Call up your boo, let's rock this place."
After saying this, 8 pulled up his phone and called up Acht on stage. They was still doing their thing on stage, making rave beats with their turntable and bobbing their head to their music. They was broken out of their trance by a video call appearing on one of the screens in front of them. Seeing the picture of them and 8 smiling together after one of their dates brought a small smile to Acht's face as they answered the call, making sure that their mic was off as they answered.
"Sup babe, you ready?" Acht spoke.
"You know it. Hope I'm not stealing too much of your spotlight." 8 said with a smile.
"Not at all, I've been looking forward to this all night." Acht responded. "I'll get the crowd ready, get in place and be ready to sing."
"You got it, see ya out there." 8 said before hanging up. He looked over at Reggie who heard the whole convo and both nodded to each other before splitting up to get to their positions for their entrance. Back in the dance area, Acht played for another minute or two before smoothly transitioning into the end of their set. This led the crowd to cheer but also become confused as to why the music stopped. Acht then grabbed their mic to talk.
"Sup y'all, everyone having a good time!" Acht yelled out casually, getting a loud cheer from all the partygoers. "That's what I like to hear! Now I'm sure all of you heard about the special guests that's performing here tonight. They're good friends of mine, one in more ways than one. They're fans of gaming and anime just like a lot of you here tonight, so much so that they wanted to put on a special performance for you all. Now give it up to the up and comers in the Nerdcore scene, 8 and 4!"
While still a little confused, the partygoers were still excited about the surprise event, especially if it had to do with their culture. They didn't have to wait long for the surprise as soon Acht began to play the beat for 8 and Reggie's song, pulling up their music video on the big screen behind Acht.

As Warren sang his part, he appeared to the crowd on a platform hanging from the ceiling, a spotlight revealing his location as well as revealing several other platforms leading above the stage. When revealed, he began skillfully hopping from platform to platform, simulating a parkour challenge. This got the crowd hyped up again, much to 8's satisfaction.

Another spotlight revealed Reggie, found on another platform on the opposite side. As he sang, mimic 8's movements by skillfully hopping from platform to platform. Soon the two reached above the stage and transformed into their squid/octopus form, quickly dropping down and transforming back. Both posed on stage, with Reggie shooting a bright smile to the crowd, causing another cheer, while 8 flash a loving smile to Acht, one which they returned. They then continued the song.

It was clear that 8 was having a great time, vibing with the crowd in his first on stage performance. Acht was smiling at him from behind the whole time, sharing in his enthusiasm as she did her work keeping the beat and lights going on her turntable. 8 then stepped back to allow Reggie to take front stage for his part in the chorus and the next verse.

Reggie vibed as well, pacing around the stage as he rapped much like 8 did. 8, meanwhile, hyped him up in the back. Reggie then hopped onto a standable part of Acht's turntable and began getting into his own grove.

Reggie hopped back onto the stage after a skillful backflip, hyping up the crowd more before he and 8 sung the chorus one last time.

The song then faded, leaving the two rappers panting as they stood back to back. The crowd cheered again, louder than before which caused the guys to sigh in relief before backing off of each other and facing the crowd. Unbeknownst to the three on stage, in a room overlooking the dancefloor and giving the people inside it a perfect view of the stage and performance, Off the Hook, the Squid Sisters, and Captain 3 all watched the performance through a window, one side having a clear view while the other side being heavily tinted to avoid the partygoers seeing who was in the VIP section.
"Hell yeah, now that's how you rock out a club!" Pearl yelled out excitedly while pumping a fist into the air. She then wrapped an arm around Marina's waist and pulled her into a side hug, much to Marina's delight as Pearl smirked up at her. "We taught him so well, babe."
"Well when he has a teacher like you, it's no surprise that he performed so amazingly~." Marina said confidently, whispering into Pearl's ear and draping her thighs over her, causing Pearl to shiver in delight. The reason Marina was acting like this was due to the two shots of alcohol she took. Pearl was complaining though, having taken shots of her own and loving the affection Marina was giving her as the two enjoyed the best friends' performance.
"Woooooah! That was amazing 4." Callie cheered out, drink in hand as she had been dancing to the song and already feeling a little tipsy. Her cheers were drowned out by the soundproofing of the VIP room but that didn't stop her from cheering her heart out. She then turned to Marie next to her. "You see him out there!? He's doing so well and it's only his first song."
"Chill sis, I see him. Proud of him though, he's doing better than I expected out there." Marie said with a smile as she took a sip of her drink. She then turned her attention to the last Inkling in the room. "And it seems Cap is enjoying the show as well."
Captain 3 found herself in a trance, keeping her gaze on Reggie as he performed. She never got into the anime and games like her boyfriend as she was too busy running the New Squidbeak Splatoon, but she was always happy to see him express his interests, especially to her. She was excited to see him performing so well out there, and his lack of an undershirt on his sweaty form certainly helped keep her attention.
When did it suddenly get so hot here? 3 questioned, feeling heat rise in her face as she gulped and bit her lip to calm herself down. She then felt a tap on her shoulders, breaking her out of her thoughts and causing her to jump slightly as she quickly turned around to see Marie holding up a drink to her.
"I feel like you're gonna need this to cool or else you're gonna give yourself a nosebleed." Marie stated simply with a knowing/teasing smile, Callie in the back giggling at 3's reaction.
"O-oh uh yeah, thanks." 3 said sheepishly, blushing still on her face as she immediately took the drink and took a swing, more focused on cooling herself down and forgetting that there was alcohol in it.
"WHO'S FEELING LIKE A CHAMPION TONIGHT!" 8 yelled, the crowd shouting together in agreement. "Awesome, awesome! Been working on that one just for y'all. We should probably introduce ourselves. My name's 8!"
"And I'm 4! Yes, we mean the numbers, don't question it." Reggie said in a joking manner, getting a laugh from the crowd. "Let's get to our next track."
"Before we do though, I'd love to give a big shout out to the real star of the party, Dedf1sh!" 8 proclaimed, much to Acht's surprise. "Without them, all this would have been possible. 90% of the beats for my songs came from them and they are one of my true motivations for being on this stage tonight with y'all. I honestly doubt that I would've been able to pull this off without them and for that I am grateful. Round of applause for this awesome dj!"
The crowd erupted again in cheer, including the popstars and Captain in the YIP. Still somewhat not used to this kind of spotlight, Acht only gave an awkward wave to the crowd. Once they looked towards 8 though and seeing his encouraging and loving smile, they felt warm inside and felt comfortable enough to bring down their glasses for 8 for a brief moment, allowing him to see their eyes again as they gave him a teasing and affectionate wink, much to 8's delight.
"Now I definitely gotta give a shoutout to my main inspirations for being here as well." Reggie chimed in. "Mine goes out to the Squid Sisters for being a big influence when it comes to making music as well as my girl for motivating me to get here today. Love her to death and I hope she's here to see us shine."
Another cheer erupted from the crowd, with Callie cheering loudly again with several thank yous thrown in towards Reggie. Marie smiled at his sentiments, proud of him for making it this far despite where he started from and looking forward to seeing his career grow. 3 felt her heart skip a beat at Reggie's words and smiled as she looked on lovingly at her boyfriend on stage.
"Now then 4, what song got in mind for the next track?" 8 asked in faux curiosity, getting the show back on track.

"Alright everyone, shot time!" Callie yelled out excitedly as she brought over shot glasses to the table. Acht moved off of 8 so they can both move to the table while Reggie and Pearl broke their glaring match to join the others, both of them silently agreeing to a drinking match later on. Once everyone was at the table, the shots were poured and everyone took a glass. Callie was the first to raise hers in the air. "It's always a party when we all get together. Let's make this cheers out for the incredible set that Acht, Reggie, and 8 put on tonight. The crowd out there was eating y'all up."
"That performance damn near brought a tear to my eye." Pearl stated with a fake sniff and eye rub before wrapping an arm around Marina's waist with her free hand and pulled her in close. "Reminds me of Marina and I's first performance."
"*giggles* It reminds me of that too, Pearlie. The energy, movement, the excitement. It is intoxicating." Marina said while sighing out in the end.
"Thanks ladies, was honestly a nervous wreck going into this. So glad you all could make it here." 8 said.
"We wouldn't have missed this shit for the world." Pearl stated.
"Yeah, we even managed to get Cap away from her training to come. You have no idea how good she is to ya Reggie." Callie stated.
"I-I was gonna come either way." Cap stuttered out with a blush on her face. "I'm not that addicted to training…"
"I know babe. Love ya." Reggie stated, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend/captain and kissed the top of her head, also having the height advantage over her. Cap sighed contently at the action, the alcohol in her system helping in making her not care about being affectionate in front of everyone. Marie, Acht, and 8 smiled at the two. Pearl laughed to herself at Reggie's show of affection, causing Marina to reach her free hand behind Pearl and pinch her back, causing Pearl to yelp. Callie giggled too before raising up her glass.
"To everyone's future success!" Callie yelled out.
"Cheers!" Everyone yelled, clinking their glasses together before they all took their shots. After this, their party started in full.
[Be sure to check out my other stories on my profile, including a Pokémon related story that also features songs. This oneshot actually helped me get a bit more practice in for that one. Also, for longtime readers of the other stories, my mystery dungeon stories will be slightly delayed due to my phone deleting a chapter and half of both stories.
