Hello guys, back after a long time

Hate: A Barrier between You and Me

Chapter 11

Recap: Abhijeet is son of Praduman and Aanchal. Daya is son of Sardar Salunkhe and Deepika. Praduman and Salunkhe are brothers just for name. Praduman wanted to marry Aanchal who was out of his family and in his family, there was a system that marriage is only taken place in family but Praduman broke his family rules and married Aanchal. Salunkhe and his dad rejected Praduman to stay in this home anymore. And since that day, Praduman and Salunkhe became enemies. They made their kids also ensure that they hate each other. One day in college Abhijeet saw Daya who was his cousin and he hated him. And there started the cold war. Daya also came to know about Abhijeet. Furthermore, They both got same classes and their teacher gave Abhijeet order to help Daya with studies as Abhijeet is a topper. Abhijeet furthermore shares his inner feelings with his friend Rakesh who tells him that he is overreacting and everything can go back to normal if Abhijeet and Daya tries. Rakesh makes everything good with Abhijeet after a bit effort and Abhijeet is back on terms with Rakesh. While afterwards, Daya comes early in class and there is only one spot left to sit in class for Abhijeet and that is beside Daya where he almost gets himself embarrassed infront of whole class and then turns back to locker as a excuse. Abhijeet had to sit with Daya anyways. Later Raj sir asks Abhijeet to help Daya to cover his notes and also assigns them to a project together. On other side Daya meets a guy named Arun in the college who also dislikes Abhijeet. Next day, when Raj sir announces teams for project, Abhijeet asks to team him up with Rakesh instead of Daya but Raj sir does not allow him to change his partner to which Abhijeet gets upset and talks to Rakesh about his feelings. Later Daya comes near Abhijeet and Rakesh and asks Rakesh to go from there so that Abhijeet and he can work on project.

"Tumhe Rakesh ko bhejne ki kya zaroorat thi?" Abhijeet said in a sharp tone.

"Aisi koi khaas wajah to nahi hai. Actually, mujhe aur tumhe project pe saath kaam karna hai, to woh yahan rehta to yunhi disturbance create hoti. You know focus... woh hil jata." Daya came and sat on the chair next to Abhijeet.

"Actually tumhe na yeh takaluf karne ki zaroorat nahi thi. Mein kaafi hun yeh project tayaar karne ke liye. Tumhari zaroorat nahi hai mujhe," Abhijeet tried to ignore Daya. He wanted to get him to leave.

"Hello, excuse me Mr. Abhijeet Praduman, mein kisi ke ahsaan nahi rakhta, samjhe tum aur na hi mujhe kisi aur ki mehnat khane ki aadat hai. So is liye please tum yeh jo sab kar rahe ho na, please band kar do. Yeh project mujhe aur tumhe dono ko assign hua hai aur is mein tumhara aur mera contribution barabar ka hoga, samjhe tum?" Daya suddenly got very angry. He was thinking how Abhijeet could even think that he would take credit for the work he did.

"Chill out. Dushmani apni jagah par, yeh project mere liye bhi bohat ahem hai aur ab lag raha hai ke tumhare liye bhi hai to ham saath hi is pe kaam karein ge. Tum mein koi achi baat ho na ho par aik achi baat to zaroor hai ke tum khuddaar ho," Abhijeet said, even though he didn't want to, compliment Daya. For a moment, he thought maybe Daya isn't so bad, but then he quickly shook off that thought. Just one good trait doesn't make someone a good person.

"Hm, good ke tumhe samajh a gaya. Ab kaam karein is pe?"

"Han, Acha to aise karte hain ke yeh report mein bana leta hun aur tum presentation bana lo," Abhijeet suggested.

"I don't know, par kya tum sab ke saath yahi karte ho?" Daya suddenly asked, irritated.

"Wait, what? Kya karta hua mein, kehna kya chahte ho?" Abhijeet asked, confused.

"Mana ke tum topper ho, par doosron ko underestimate kyun karte ho. Matlab, it doesn't make sense ke tum ne mujhe itna asaan kaam kyun diya hai aur khud ke liye mushkil kaam chun liya hai, tumhe lagta hai ke mein report nahi tayaar kar paun ga ya mein itna kaam chor hun ke asaan kaam le ke nikal lun ga?" Daya got worked up again. He was wondering how Abhijeet could think of himself as some kind of king.

"Sorry Daya if you got offended but mere mutaabiq to report aur presentation equally difficult hai, but tum ne baat ki thi shayad logon ko underestimate karne ki to aik baat to mein aj tumhe clear kar deta hun ke meine kabhi kisi ko underestimate nahi kiya, balke it's them who are underestimating them, because woh hamesha yahi chahte hain ke un ko koi easy task assign kar dun, so mein un ki baat maan leta hun kyunke mein mushkilon se nahi darta. I can do the hard work," Abhijeet said, explaining his stance.

"Theek hai whatever, but mein tumhe mujhe underestimate hargiz nahi karne doonga. Ham dono mil kar yeh report aur presentation banayein ge. Ok?" Daya, not paying much attention to what Abhijeet said, once again insisted on his point.

"Ok, whatever you say," Abhijeet finally agreed. He had no other option.

When Abhijeet went outside the library, he saw Rakesh. He went and stood near him.

"Hi Abhijeet, to phir kesa raha project work Daya ke saath?" Rakesh tried to suppress his laughter.

"Wait, what, tumhe yeh funny lag raha hai? He literally ate my brain. Matlab, itna argue kon karta hai? Use na meri har baat se problem hai. Mera bas chalta na to yeh project akele hi tayaar karta par woh na mere peeche haath mun sab dho kar par gaya tha ke use koi kaam karne ko dun, aur phir yahan bhi baat khatam nahi hui, use chahiye 50 percent ka contribution," Abhijeet started talking and couldn't stop. Rakesh, listening to Abhijeet, was laughing inside.

"Are lekin yeh to achi baat hai na. Use apna kaam khud karne ki aadat hai. Woh aik khuddaar insaan hai. Kisi ka ahsaan nahi leta," Rakesh accidentally complimented Daya, which earned him an expected angry glare from Abhijeet.

"Nahi, mujhe na aik baar bata do ke tum kis ki side pe ho, meri ya uski?" Abhijeet asked, making a face.

"Sorry yaar, teri hi side hun mein aur hamesha teri hi side rahun ga," Rakesh said, laughing, and gave Abhijeet a side hug.

Today Raj Sir was about to announce the results of the project. That project was very important and had a lot of percentage to it too. Abhijeet and Rakesh were sitting together while on the otherside Daya was sitting with Arun.

"Kaash ke Raj Sir next project ya assignment ke liye mujhe aur tumhe saath pair up karein," Arun said to Daya with a sad tone.

"Fikar mat karo. Hamein zaroor saath kaam karne ka mouqa mile ga" Daya said to Arun in a relaxed tone.

"Kya lagta hai ke kaise marks ayein ge tumhare project mein?" Rakesh asked Abhijeet.

"Hamesha ki tarah kaafi ache hi marks ayein ge, though mujhe dar hai ke Daya ke mere saath pair up hone ki wajah se kahin mere marks pe koi asar na ho," Abhijeet said confidently at first, but then showed some concern.

"Tum fikar na karo Abhijeet. Mere khayaal se Daya bhi kaafi smart aur laaiq hai," Rakesh said, but then quickly realized that complimenting Daya was something Abhijeet didn't like. He bit his tongue and silently apologized in his mind, while Abhijeet just shot him a cold look.

"Ok to students, results ki shuruwaat highest marks se karte hain. Highest marks jis team ke ayein hain woh hain Daya aur Abhijeet aur inhon ne 97 percent score kiye hain is project mein"

Raj Sir happily announced the names of his toppers, upon which both Daya and Abhijeet stood up from their seats in excitement and walked towards Raj Sir. They were coming from different directions. When they faced each other, their eyes once again glared at each other like a volcano ready to erupt. Both of them moved forward, their hands reaching out to grab the project.
