It was evening at the Ketchum house, but not a lot of activity was being done.

The house was...tense in terms of atmosphere, no thanks to the incident a few days ago.

Mewtwo, Newtwo, Mew, and Ash sat in the living room, dead silent as they were all lost in their thoughts.

Delilah stared blankly at a pot that had been cooking food for Arceus knows how long, a deep frown on her face.

As for Amari...

"..." Amari stared at the wall blankly, not knowing how to feel, or if he even could feel.

He knew he shouldn't have gone out with Ash—he kept telling himself it would be better to stay inside!

But of course, every time he wants to try something new, it gets shit on, because of them.

Because of his father, his mother...

Trey, Nessie, and Jessica...

How they treated him and still continue to treat him always boiled down to single question.

Why...?

Why did they want to cause him so much pain?

What was the purpose?

Why did they hate him?

What did he do to deserve their hatred?

There were so many questions that swarmed in his head, it actually began hurting to think.

But they revolved around one problem he's had since birth.

"...Why can't I be happy?" Amari asked aloud, no response being given to him, as his Eevee, Tera, was fast asleep.

He frowned, sighing as he closed his eyes.

Suddenly, a knock was heard on his door.

"Amari? Can I come in, sweetie?" A motherly, female voice inquired outside his bedroom.

Amari hesitated.

Would it really be best to let her in?

He knew that she wanted to talk to him, and it wasn't going to be anything simple.

"...Go ahead, Mom..." Amari said, sighing.

The door opened, Delilah peeking her head through the crack, before stepping inside.

"How are you feeling, sweetie?" She asked him. "You havent eaten all day..." She said.

"I'm not hungry..." Amari said, frowning as he turned away from her. "I'm just tired..." He continued, trying to give an excuse.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work on mothers.

Good ones, at least.

"Amari, you've been in bed all day..." Delilah said, frowning at him. "We're all worried for you, sweetie." She continued, sitting down on his bed beside him. "Is something on your mind?" She asked.

Amari's eyes widened, as he looked down towards his hands, clenching his pants tightly.

Was it okay to tell her?

'Oh, fuck it...I need to talk to someone about this...' Amari said inside of his head, taking a deep breath as he looked at his stepmother.

"Mom, I need you to listen, and only listen, okay?" Amari asked.

Delilah's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting the boy to open up so quickly.

...Then again, what was the point of holding anything in?

"Y-Yes, of course, sweetie." Delilah said.

Amari took a deep, shaky breath, as he began explaining the events he had experienced within the past month.

He told her everything.

The situation with his father, with his mother, with his bullies...

How he has something to do with the God of all Pokémon, Arceus...

Every single last detail.

Delilah felt a lot of emotions while she listened to Amari.

It was mostly anger; Both at him for hiding something like this from both him and Ash, and at herself.

It was supposed to be her responsibility as his new mother to make sure he was happy and that he felt loved.

To ensure that was always safe and experienced things he never could as a child.

But she failed.

Painfully so, too.

And that, made her feel sadness.

She should've been more aware of this, she could've been more aware of this.

And yet, she wasn't.

"Amari...I'm...I'm so sorry..." Delilah spoke, squeezing the boy's hands tightly.

"It...It's not your fault, Mom." Amari said, frowning softly. "I should've just told you sooner, sorry..." He apologized.

Delilah pulled Amari into a hug.

"Just promise me you won't do something like this again, okay, sweetie?" She asked the boy.

Amari froze as he was hugged, but quickly melted into her arms.

"Y-Yes Ma'am..." He said quietly, hugging her back.

Outside the room, the others are eavesdropping on the two.

'The last thing we need is for HER to know...and HIM, especially...' Mewtwo said, looking at Ash.

Ash looked away sheepishly.

"Not like I wasn't going to find out eventually...I attract these things, y'know." He said.

'"Attract" is an understatement, Ash...' Mew said, narrowing her eyes at the teenager.

'At least he wont have to hide this from her anymore...' Newtwo said, sighing.

Tera and Pikachu looked at each other.

"Pika..."

"Eevee..."

Amari talks to Delilah, and spills ALL of the tea.
