April 19th sunday.

My name is skell shi…my first week at my new school has been bizarre as hell. As glad as i was to see yukari again. It got overshadowed by the weirdness of the sky turning green water becoming blood…and actual monsters. And there's also with what i did. I summoned skeletons by shooting myself in the head?

"Your questions will be answered soon boss." jack the ripper said.

"For now…you have a lovely lady waiting for you to wake up…" david said. I was blasted with light as i woke up to see a white ceiling. How long have i been out? I look to my right to see yukari looking over me.

"You're awake!...how do you feel?" yukari asked.

"I'm dead clearly…why else would there be a beautiful angel with me?" i said with a smile. She sighed.

"You've clearly been around junpei too long." she said with a laugh.

"Yukari…what the hell happened that night…what was that thing…and what the hell did i do?" i asked.

"That…was a shadow, and what you did was your power. I have a power similar to it. We call it "persona" but it seems your power is a bit different. We'll explain everything later. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before." yukari said.

"Water under the bridge. If you did tell me…most likely mommy mitsuru would have gotten the whip." i said. Yukari laughed.

"That's so fitting that i'm at a loss for words." yukari said. She then noticed me looking down at the bed. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"It's just…i have so many questions on my mind. Is this what my dad sent me here for? The change of schools was so abrupt and my dad looked like he was sending me in the lion's den…did he know what was going on and sent me to face it? If so…why?" i said with a sigh. "Can't really get them answered now. But at least i can get some of them answered soon." i said.

"Yeah…if i stick around. I might find out something about what happened to our dads. It's why i'm at gekkokaun…of course i panicked and wasn't much help. It was my first time fighting them too. I'm sorry. You wouldn't have to go through this if I wasn't a coward." yukari said. I shrugged.

"Well. we're not dead. I say that's a victory. Plus. it was only a matter of time before i'd have to deal with this…after all. I have a feeling this was why I was sent here." i said. Yukari smiled and turn to leave the room.

"I'll let everyone know your awake…and also skell…" yukari said as she turned to give me a bright smile. "I'm really happy to see you again." she said as she left the room. I laid back down with a smile on my face. Feeling like i got closer to her.

April 20th. Monday.

I got out of the hospital. And straight back to school. On my way. Junpei approached me.

"Yo. long time no see! What's up? Did you have a stomach ache or something?" junpei asked.

"What kind of stomach ache puts a person in the hospital for 10 whole days?" i asked.

"Sheesh full of energy today aren't you..i could hear you from all the way over there." yukari said annoyed.

"Hey it's yuka-tan. You two live in the same dorm, yet came to school separately. Is it because you'll cause too many rumors again?" junpei asked with a grin.

"What? I just left a little late! Anyway i need to talk with skell a bit. Bye-bye junpei." yukari said as she pulled me with her.

"Aahhh the classic childhood friends becoming lovers. Man what a cliche." junpei said as yukaris face became red.

"Geez…that stupei. Anyway how are you feeling?" yukari asked.

"I'm fine…how are makoto and kotone doing?" i asked.

"They're fine. Surprisingly…anyway ikutsuki wants to talk to you this evening. So don't make any plans for this evening." yukari said. Anyway classes came. I felt that i was both smarter and more charming after helping junpei solve a problem as people took notice. Anyway i saw makoto and kotone. I noticed they were wearing those s.e.e.s armbands. I'm guessing they joined up when i was unconscious. The day came and went. I returned to the dorm. And headed up to the fourth floor. Maybe now i can finally get some answers. I headed up to see the whole gang now.

"Ah there you are. I'm glad that you're okay. I wasn't sure what i'd do if anything had happened to you." ikutsuki said.

"Get sued by my parents most likely…now can i get some answers now you tight lipped douchebags!?" I yelled. I was sick and tired of these s.e.e.s douches not telling me anything. They knew what was going on. And they weren't telling me jack and i was sick of it. My patience is at an end.

"Why don't you cool it!?" akihiko yelled. Ikutsuki sighed.

"Very well…you want answers. I will grant you them. Tell me. Would you believe me when i say that there is more than 24 hours in a day?" ikutsuki asked.

"No, not really. But i take it this has to do with what i saw those strange nights" i replied.

"That's the dark hour. A time period hidden between one day and the next." mitsuru said.

"And i'm guessing those with the power of persona are the only ones who don't become coffins when that hour hits?" i asked.

"Indeed. Your quite perceptive." ikutsuki said sounding impressed. "But the dark hour exists. It occurs every midnight. And it will occur every night from here on out." ikutsuki said.

"Like you said. Normal people don't realize it since their sleeping in their coffins but that's not what makes the dark hour interesting." akihiko said.

"Interesting…that's not the word I'd use to describe those masked living puddles of black goo. Terrifying is the word I'd use." i said.

"We call them shadows. They appear during the dark hour and attack anyone not in a coffin. It's our job to defeat them…sounds exciting huh?" akihiko asked.

"Akihiko! Why are you always like that? You just got hurt the other day!" mitsuru yelled lecturing him.

"Battle maniac…fights with fists…yep. Akihiko is this group's adell." i said.

"Who?" mitsuru asked.

"Disgaea 2. Video game. Anyway. So what now?" i asked.

"What now indeed? As you said only those with the power of persona can function during the dark hour. And you have that power so…" ikutsuki said. As mitsuru laid down a case and opened it. It contained one of those pistols and armbands.

"We want you to join us. We prepared an evoker for you. We'd like you to lend us your strength." mitsuru said. I looked at yukari makoto and kotone. Then back to the case. I picked up the items in the case. I sighed.

"Alright…i'm in." i said with a smile. Yukari sighed with relief.

"I was afraid you'd say no…welcome aboard." yukari said with a smile. I chuckled.

"You know fighting monsters in a hidden time wasn't exactly the way i was expecting us to spend time together..but i'll take what i can get." i said with a wink. She sighs but smiles.

"To think you used to be so shy in the past…what happened to that shy kid?" yukari asked sarcastically. But she smiled. And with that i have officially joined the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad. The voice once again returned.

"I am thou…thou art i…thou has gained a new bond. With the power of the fool by your side. The power to change fate will be closer to your grasp."

After my joining. I went to bed. I was still pretty drag ass from being knocked out for 10 whole days. As i was sleeping I woke up to a very cold feeling. It was all green again. So clearly i was in the dark hour. And standing in my room was that kid in the prisoner outfit from when this began.

"Hi. how are you?" the kid asked.

"Tired. And freaked out by a certain ghost boy…who are you anyway?" i asked.

"You can call me pharos…soon the end will come, i remembered and i thought i should tell you. I already told makoto and kotone. But to be honest i don't really know what it is. Oh. it looks like you awakened to your power…it's quite different from the others. Really shows that you are the one who fate can't control." pharos said.

"What is so different about my power?" i asked.

"While the others wield the power of persona…you have a much different and darker power…the power of fiends." pharos said.

"Fiends?" i asked.

"Yes…will you use it for destruction…or will you be able to do the impossible. And save someone from having to commit a great sacrifice…only time will tell i suppose." pharos said. And disappeared. I sighed and laid back down.

"Shit…just when i get some questions answered. More take their place." i said as i fell back asleep.

April 21st tuesday.

As I approached the school. Yukari approached me.

"Mornin um…thanks for yesterday. I'm glad i have someone i can trust with me for this. Makoto and kotone are alright. But akihiko is injured and i'm not comfortable around mitsuru." yukari said.

"Don't worry…i understand. The kirijo group were the ones responsible for what happened to our dads…even if mitsuru was probably just a baby at the time." i said only to laugh at a funny image in my head. "Hey you think she dressed up and acted like a princess when she was younger?" i asked. Yukari laughed.

"Probably…" yukari said as we walked to school

Lunch time.

As i was going to get lunch. I heard giggling and the sound of someone struggling. I saw four girls. Clearly doing something making the fourth one uncomfortable. The girl they were picking on looked like that other angel from that bizarre red room I see in my dreams. She looked like she about to cry from getting her photo taken. So i grabbed the cellphone before the photo could be taken.

"Hey!" the tan girl who had the phone yelled.

"Clearly this girl is uncomfortable. So please leave her alone." i said.

"What's your deal? This is none of your business." one of the other girl's said.

"Yeah so get lost!" the tan girl yelled. I put her phone to the ground and put my foot over it. "What are you doing!? I don't have the money to replace that!" the tan girl yelled.

"You want your phone to go unsmashed? Then you'll leave this girl alone." i said.

"Alright alright! Sheesh. We'll leave fuuka alone!" the tan girl yelled. I kicked her phone over to her.

"It better stay that way…next time. If i see you bullying her again. Hope you like having a black eye! Now get lost!" i yelled. The three hussies ran away. I could never stand bullies.

"W-why did you do that?" fuuka asked.

"You're clearly a shy and timid girl…and pathetic harpies like those see you as easy pickings for bullying. And you saw what happened when they face someone who's willing to stand up to them they run away in an instant…pathetic…truly pathetic…my name is skell shi. Happy to meet you fuuka." i said with a smile.

"Umm…thank you." fuuka said shily.

"If those three pick on you again. Let me know…I'll be sure to set them straight." i said.

"U-umm please don't hurt them." fuuka requested. I pated her head.

"You really are a kind girl…those three harpies make your life difficult for no other than to make themselves feel better. And yet you ask me to not hurt them. It's always the precious ones." i said with a smile. Fuuka blushed and smiled. The voice in my head came back.

"I am thou…thou art i…thou has gained a new bond…with the power of the priestess by your side…the power to change fate will be closer to your grasp." the voice said.

The bell rang.

"I need to get to class!" fuuka yelled as she ran off. "Umm…we can hang out later!" fuuka yelled with a smile as she waved at me before heading to her class.i should head to my next class as well.

After school.

As i was spinning my pen around. Mitsuru entered our classroom.

"Can i have a minute? Come to the lounge when you get back the dorm. I have something to tell everyone. I'll save the details for later. See you there." mitsuru said and left before i had a chance to respond.

"Is this how she usually is?" i asked.

"She's probably busy with student council, unlike us." yukari said with annoyance.

"Whoa, yuka-tan! Do i sense some hostility?" junpei asked. Clearly he was listening in.

"Well, it's not that i don't like her she's just…" yukari said.

"Has a massive stick up her ass?" i asked.

"Never mind. Let's go skell." yukari said. As she dragged me out of the class. The last thing i heard before being dragged out was kotone giggling.

"If i don't better. I'd swear those two were dating." kotone said.

"Yep! And she keeps claiming their just childhood friends." junpei said him and kotone laughing while makoto just chills out to his music.

Iwatodai strip mall.

"A-about earlier. It's not that i don't like her or anything y'know?" yukari asked.

"Don't worry. I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same way, it's not that i don't like her. But i can't bring myself to trust her. Considering how it feels like she's hiding something big. And not willing to tell us what that is." i said.

"Yeah! Exactly…what is she hiding?" yukari asked.

"Don't know…and I doubt either of us would get anything out of her." i replied.

"Even at knife point?" yukari asked.

"Most likely." i said. As i was talking a familiar blue haired girl approached.

"Oh…skell! Surprised to see you here." fuuka said.

"Well. this place is a good place to go for food or other stuff." i said.

"Who is she?" yukari asked.

"This is fuuka yamagishi…i protected her from a group of pathetic harpies." i said.

"You mean bullies right?" yukari asked. I nodded. "I guess you couldn't put "skell the bully smasher" behind could you?" yukari asked with a teasing smile. I blushed at that childish nickname i gave myself years ago. She then turned to fuuka. "Anyway my name's yukari takeba. Nice to meet you." yukari said.

"Likewise yukari." fuuka said with a smile.

"So what are you doing here fuuka?" i asked.

"There was a book on how to build a computer i've been wanting to get for a while." fuuka said with a smile as she soon began to techno-babble. I didn't mind. And neither did yukari. It was a nice distraction from the mitsuru thing. As i spent the day with both of them. I felt closer to both of them.

After saying goodbye to fuuka. Me and yukari headed back to our dorm.

Evening.

"Welcome back." mitsuru said as we entered the main hall.

"We were waiting for you. There's someone i want to introduce" akihiko said.

"Huh?" yukari asked.

"Hey, hurry up." akihiko yelled at the door.

"Hold your horses…this is freakin heavy." an all too familiar voice said. The door opened revealing an all too familiar guy with a goatee and a baseball cap.

"Wazzup" junpei said as he dragged a moving bag in…guess he has the power too. Well things will be more fun with him around…
