Ruby yawned loudly as she sat up in bed, she turned to her side to see Weiss had already gotten up. She stretched befire exiting the bed herself. Groggily making her way to the kitchen.
Ruby smiled soon as she entered. Blake, Yang and Penny were at the table talking. Klein was cooking and cleaning with headphones in, as Weiss walked up and gave Ruby a good morning peck on the cheek, as she handed her a plate with a sausage breakfast sandwich, eggs and bacon with fresh fruit juice. "How did you sleep, Rosebud?" Weiss asked, before giving Ruby another good morning peck, not noticing the bright blush across Ruby's face.
"R-Rosebud?" Ruby questioned as Weiss giggled.
"Yes, my nickname for you, silly. Now eat your breakfast. We gotta start getting ready." Ruby blushing still, tilts her head.
"For what?" Which makes Weiss roll her eyes and playfully tug on Ruby's ear.
"For the charity ball, duh." Ruby nervously chuckled.
"Right.. heh.. I forgot.." Ruby admitted as Weiss let go of her ear.
"You better remember! Now eat. I wanna go and pick up Penny's father." Ruby just gave Weiss a funny look, then looks at Penny who happily waves to Ruby. Then Ruby turns to Weiss.
"Wait, Penny has a Dad?" Ruby whispered to Weiss who could only sigh loudly.
"Ruby… did you seriously just ask if Penny has a dad..? Ruby's faint blush of embarrassment quickly crossed her face.
"Yeah… sorry.." Ruby nervously said as she took a seat at the table, Weiss sat down next to her. "So Weiss, this charity ball, is it formal?" Ruby asked as Weiss nods while eating,
"A what?" Yang asks, as Weiss carefully chewed and swallowed her food before replying.
"A charity ball, you and Blake can come. It's just a formal affair. So ether suits or dresses." Weiss said as Blake and Yang both looked at one another. Weiss became very puzzled as Blake and Yang began playing rock, paper scissors. Weiss whispers in Ruby's ear as Penny, Weiss and Runy watch the two continue. "What the hell are they doing?"
Ruby raised one eyebrow as she gave Weiss a funny look. "I'm sorry, have you never seen someone play rock paper scissors before?" Ruby questioned as Weiss shook her head no. "I didn't think I'd see someone so rich that they could honestly tell me they never played."
"Well, I never have." Weiss replied as they both heard Blake groan, Ruby and Weiss both look to see Yang smiling brightly and Blake looking rather disappointed. "Oh, what happened?" Weiss asked as Yang extended her arm, putting her fist into Weiss' face with a grin of pure pride and satisfaction.
"Oh nothing! Just Rock beats scissors!" Yang stated as Penny began to clap.
"Congratulations!" Penny said loudly as Weiss tried to understand what was happening. Ruby smiled, giving Weiss a quick peck on the cheek, Weiss just looked too cute being so confused.
"Well Weiss, it means Blake has to wear the dress this time!" Yang said as Blake pouted.
"Um…. You do know that it isn't mandatory one has to wear a suit, and one has to wear a dress right?" Weiss questioned as Blake smiled but Yang smirked as well.
"Yeah.. but I won, so Blake has to wear a dress." Yang said, nudging Blake as she blushed.
"What is so wrong with wearing dresses?" Weiss asked Blake as sighed, and Yang just kept smirking, as Blake blushed.
"Oh nothing, she just prefers to wear kimonos." Yang says as Weiss thinks for a moment.
"Well, she'd be allowed to wear a kimono. Still.. what's wrong, I don't get it." Ruby lightly elbows Weiss to stop talking, as she motioned for Yang to end it.
"Just… let them have this Weiss." Ruby said as Weiss could only shrug, as she took a bite of her food.
"Fine." Weiss says as she pulled her scroll out. "Anyways Ruby, we need to talk about what you're gonna wear."
"What I'm gonna wear?" Ruby questioned, as she watched Weiss nod, she didn't know what Weiss meant, nor did she like the sound of that. She watched as Weiss scrolled through, then showed Ruby a picture off her scroll of a very nice and very skillfully done suit. "Oh.. that looks nice.. but.. what's the big deal?" Ruby questioned.
"The big deal is Ruby, I'd love for you to have a new suit, your current one is… well beat up." Weiss says as Ruby looks as if Weiss had stabbed her in the heart, as she couldn't believe Weiss had said that. She almost began to tear up. "R-Ruby…. Are you crying!?" Weiss asked in a panic.
"M-my suit isn't beat up!" Ruby whined. Weiss started to blush and tried to apologize profusely, as Penny continued to scroll on her tablet. Yang and Blake just kept eating as they all turned to the door when they heard footsteps, Ruby stopped her crying as she swapped into bodyguard mode, jumping infront of Weiss with her gun drawn as Yang and Blake pulled out their sawed off shotgun and 10mm handgun respectively. As the person whom had entered was Weiss' brother Whitley as he quickly threw his hands up in surprise.
"Don't shot! I'm a Schnee!" Whitley screamed as Weiss pulled Ruby to the side.
"What are you doing here Whitley?" Weiss asked as she motioned for them all to put their weapons down, which they did as Whitley put his hands down.
"You mean besides almost being gunned down by these brutes?" Whitley said as Ruby, Blake and Yang glared at him. Weiss scowled at Whitley. "Well, I came to see when you'd be joining me and Winter at the charity ball, Father said he might attend."
"I'll be attending with my date." Was Weiss reply. As Whitley looked at Weiss strangely.
"So you are with François? I didn't think the rumors were true." Ruby watched as Weiss' eye twitched.
"WHAT!?" Weiss screamed. Making Whitley jump, as Ruby grabs a hold of Weiss, Yang and Blake just take a seat, and continue watching.
"I heard you made François sign over his company to take your hand in marriage, but just called it off, last minute." Whitley said as he walked over to the kitchen counter, and leaned against it.
"W-when did this happen!?" Weiss asked as Ruby, Blake, Yang and Penny listened.
"Umm, the word was after your amusement park incident. Many of my friends thought you were just angry and looking to get back at someone." Weiss was dumbfounded, as was Ruby, as the events from the other night replayed in. Their heads. The way François was acting, the bride to be crap. It was all making sense but at the same time it wasn't. "Speaking of which, I see you are having breakfast, why has no one offered me a plate? I mean what kinds fanus servant are you?" Whitley asked, Yang was gonna jump up but Blake stopped her, as Blake grabbed a plate she was quick to hand Whitley an already cooked breakfast sandwich.
"Here, it's already cooked. Just for you." Everyone was watching as Blake handed Whitley the breakfast sandwich Weiss had heated up the other day, as he took a bite, he spit it out and began coughing.
"Ugh! W-what the hell!? Cooked? When!?" Whitely managed to say as he coughed, as Blake smiled,
"The other day." Whitley looked sick from Blake's reply as he quickly ran out of the kitchen. Blake then turned to Weiss and Ruby. "So who is François? Blake asked as she could see the stress on Weiss and Ruby's faces.
"François is the heir of the LeBlanc coal… my father tried to set me up with him.. but I put a stop to it, he went around saying I was his ex, it wasn't pretty.." Weiss said, as Ruby held and tried to comfort her.
"Just take it easy snowflake. It's ok." Ruby said as she held onto Weiss.
"Ruby.. someome is pretending to be me.. what the hell..?" Weiss sighed as Ruby refused to let her go.
"It will be ok snowflake, we can go to the ball, focus on tonight and tomorrow we will look into this, ok?" Ruby asked as Weiss nodded, adding in a small smirk only made for Ruby.
"Right, you're right Ruby. Let's just finish breakfast and get ready." Ruby nodded, as she kissed her head.
After finishing breakfast, everyone left to get ready. Ruby and Weiss went to Weiss' room, Blake and Yang went to their room. Penny had left and come back, she was patiently waiting for the group as she was in a backless green and form hugging dress with green heels. She had her hair up. As opposed to her normal look. Blake and Yang were the first to greet Penny.
Blake walked up to Penny in a bright yellow and strapless dress, that looked like it was from a Disney movie, Yang on the other hand was dressed in a blue suit coat, with a white dress shirt with Blake pants and dress boots with some special yellow touches throughout. "Oh my! You two look like you belong in a movie!" Penny blurted out once she took notice of them, Blake blushed as Yang flashed her brightest grin.
"I know, we look great!" Yang said as she wrapped an arm around Blake.
The next couple to enter were Weiss and Ruby. Weiss walked in wearing an ice blue for fitting dress with a clear tail like design that flowed behind her as she walked, Ruby was just in cleanest black suit with a red dress shirt, armed with both her hand guns and a white rose in her front coat pocket. "So penny, how do we look?" Weiss asked as she flashed a thumbs up and a smile.
"Amazing Miss Schnee!" Penny said the two couples each gave the other a sign to say they looked good, as Penny opened the elevator and motioned for them to enter, as they did and made their way to the limo. "So penny, what's your dad like?" Ruby asked as Penny smiled happily.
"Oh my Father is an amazing man! So kind and smart! He so smart he made me you know!" Everyone look at her, not seeing Weiss' own eyes as they went wide as gently kicked Penny, who looked but realized she said the wrong thing.
"Made you…?" Yang asked as Penny nervously smiled.
"Oh I mean in the natural way of course!" Penny replied,
Weiss breathed a sigh of relief but felt her heart skip a beat as soon as she heard Yang. "So what about you mom?" Yang question.
Before Penny could speak, Weiss cut her off. "Oh! Penny's mom passed away many years ago. Also we will actually be meeting Mr. Polendina at the ball." Ruby looked at Weiss as she could tell something was up with Weiss. She wanted to ask but just leaned on to Weiss, to change subjects as she made Weiss giggle. "Hey! Easy with the dress!"
"Nope!" Ruby said with a chuckle. As the limo came to a stop. The door opened, as usual, Ruby got out first, helping her beautiful girlfriend out first, gently taking her hand and helping her out with hundreds of camera flashes, then Penny. As Yang got out and Helped Blake. Penny walked ahead as Ruby walked arm and arm with Weiss, Yang and Blake did the same.
They entered the building with little to no effect from the paparazzi, who were snapping pictures."I'm impressed by you Ruby." Weiss said, as Ruby chuckled.
"What do you mean by that?" Ruby asked as she hip bumped Weiss.
"Just, you dealt with the camera flashes and everything so well. I'm greatly impressed." Weiss said as Ruby leaned against her.
"It was nothing, with you by my side, I hardly even noticed, I was too distracted by you Snowflake." Ruby had to kiss her cheek as Weiss giggled.
"I can't wait to announce our engagement either. I want everyone to know how much I Love you Ruby Rose."
"And I love you Weiss Schnee." As they unlocked arms, the urge was too great to fight for them as they kissed."
Soon as Weiss and Ruby appared on a small screan, cinder watched as the two kissed she grabbed her radio. "We got the love birds, prepare to move in, and remember everyone. The boss wants them dead."
Author notes: ok, so not the angst yet, I just pulled a 72 hour work week. Not including what I do sidework wise. I'm a auto parts salesperson and mechanic on the side DX I will bring the angst into chapter 8 hopefully next weekend. As I am pulling another 70 hour work week starting Sunday. But I hope the three AUs are good enough if I don't post this next weekend. But we will see many faces this next chapter! Hope you enjoy!
