We now return to Drake and Ashley. However, they both had plates with a familiar food item on it. Drake had a big grin on his face while Ashley looked a little more reluctant.
"I don't know, Drake, this looks a little TOO much…" Ashley frowned.
"Aw, come on! Monika went out of her way to transport this to us!" Drake scolded. "Not just you and me, but also Barry, Rinky and even Cacey!"
"True… She didn't have to do that, but she did." Ashley admitted.
Drake nodded before looking at the camera. "Welcome back! If you are wondering what you literally have on our plates, we will gladly explain to you, but not now."
"Basically, even though this is a Big Guy Blocker round, the tournament still manages to be as chaotic as ever." Ashley said, rolling his eyes.
"That's right! Sure, we don't see some interesting potential double eliminations but we will have a lot of interesting fights all around!" Drake grinned.
"Now normally we will start with the people who got an elimination but didn't make the next section but seeing that this is a Big Guy Blocker, EVERYONE who survived the section made it to the next round." Ashley shrugged. "Regardless, at the same time, we will still like to remind everyone what WOULD be if the Big Guy Blocker would be if it isn't in effect. Just remind the following three how lucky they are."
PATRICK STAR
NODE: NICKELODEON ALL-STARS/SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS
ENTERED IN: Section 2; Number 37
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 4
Ashley paused. "...Speaking of dumb luck."
"Aw, come on! You can't deny that Patrick's fight against Aggron from Pokemon was freaking epic!" Drake scolded.
"Yes, I admit it was…" Ashley admitted before sighing. "Even though he didn't start that way."
Drake chuckled nervously. "You know how Patrick's whole thing is sleeping under rocks? Well, he tried to sleep on Aggron. Needless to say, Aggron didn't appreciate that."
"After Patrick finally woke up, things started picking up with Aggron using his heavy-hitting moves like Iron Head and Stomping Tantrum and Patrick… Doing a reference from the horror movie, Jennifer's Body?" Ashley asked.
"I thought that Orange-Ratchet doesn't like horror movies." Drake said.
"To be fair, neither Tinyhammer nor you-know-who came to the last tournament." Ashley said, darkly.
"Oh, right…" Drake said, looking to the side. He then brightened up. "Anyway, Aggron had enough and used his Smash Ball to turn into his Mega Evolution, losing his Rock-type and thus halving his weakness to Fighting-type moves in half!"
"However, Patrick countered with his own Smash Ball, his Final Smash from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 where he fell asleep again in his rock home but ended up waking up and… Using it to smash Aggron. Wait, isn't Mega Aggron a Steel type?"
"To be fair, Mewtwo is a Psychic type and fighters have no problem keeping up with him." Drake shrugged. "But it all ended in the coup-de-grace, Patrick's Triple Gooseberry Sunrise Ice Cream dive! Look at that form!"
"It was actually more than enough to take a part of Aggron and make it easy pickings to eliminate him." Ashley winced.
"See, what did I tell you? Even Patrick could have his badass moments." Drake smirked.
USHI
NODE: FIGHTERS' DESTINY
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 86
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
Ashley blinked twice. "Is it me or did Ushi ALSO survive her first section in the last Tournament of Kikai but only because she was in a Big Guy Blocker?"
"Yeah, I noticed that too." Drake noted. "Do you think Maurice has any point with this?"
"...Maurice willingly hands out with Xero all of the time." Ashley snarked. "There is no way the former is willing to put up with the latter if he didn't have some chaotic thoughts of his own."
Then, Ashley's phone rang. Drake immediately frowned when he heard this, but Ashley on the other hand merely raised an eyebrow by taking out his phone and answering it.
"Okay, WOW! It is nice to know how much you have faith in me." Maurice muttered.
"I am sorry but I clearly remember you doing little to NOTHING about Xero's blatant favouritism against Fang the Hunter." Ashley said. "Keep in mind, you could at least PHYSICALLY restrain him! You are a freaking BULL and he is a tiny bunny!"
"Look, I admit that there are a lot of things I could have done differently." Maurice admitted with a sigh. "Besides, I swear that Ushi showing up in the Big Guy Blocker two tournaments in a row is a coincidence."
"Are you sure?" Ashley asked.
"May I remind you that the roster order has been sorted out by the randomizer? AND said randomizer was set up by XERO? AND the Big Guy Blocker was never in the first tournament before Junko hijacked the arena?" Maurice asked.
Ashley winced. "T-Touche…"
"Look, even if I wanted to, SOMEONE has to be the professional host because it sure as hell is not going to be Xero." Maurice scolded.
"Right, I am sorry." Ashley sighed.
"It's fine. I need to be more firm with Xero, anyway." Maurice admitted. "Anyway, I have to go."
With that, he hung up making Drake shrug. "Well, there you have it."
Ashley let out a sigh. "Anyway, onto Ushi, she was fighting Lion from Tom & Jerry: War of the Whiskers. Being large animals, they resort to their natural limbs as weapons with the occasional wacky move."
"In the end, Lion ended up inadvertently challenging Ushi to a dance-off where the two started to do the tango." Drake explained. "Particularly to Down Beat Bear, a song that was used in a Tom and Jerry where the former was forced into a dance with a bear."
"In this case, Lion was Tom and Ushi was the bear where Lion ended up having a lot of amusing injuries." Ashley winced. "In the end, Ushi ended up showing Lion the door."
"Lesson learned: Never say 'Let's Dance' to a dancing cow." Drake smirked.
MARX
NODE: KIRBY
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 88
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
Ashley slapped his forehead. "Of course the monstrous clown demon made it to the next round because of the Big Guy Blocker! Of course! Of course!"
"I am more concerned about how we are going to talk about his fight without taking away Cacey's screentime." Drake frowned.
"Well, we don't have to cover ALL of Marx's journey." Ashley sighed. "Just when the tournament focused on his fight."
"Right…" Drake nodded before looking at the camera. "For context, Marx has gotten his boss powers. You know, back when he was the final boss?"
"And poor Chowder & Kimchi from Cartoon Network: Punch-Time Explosion learned that the hard way." Ashley sighed. "I know that Chowder has no reason to trust Marx, he should have given him that popcorn."
"Yeah, he ended up spending most of the arena running from Marx and ended up leaping… OVER the ropes." Drake winced.
"Chowder may disagree with Orange-Ratchet's way of eliminating but unfortunately I felt like this was the best way for Chowder to go." Ashley sighed, shaking his head.
"I am still stunned to see Chowder out this soon." Drake frowned. "Especially since…"
PUDDING FONG
NODE: TOKYO MEW MEW
ENTERED IN: Section 3; Number 50
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 3
"...His partner, Pudding, is still fighting in the ring." Drake continued.
"Yeah, you would think that they would leave together just like in the last tournament." Ashley noted.
"Oh well… At least Pudding is going to be fighting the good fight in Chowder's name." Drake sighed.
"And fight the good fight she did as she was going up against Nakoruru from King of Fighters XV and her trusted hawk companion, Mamahaha!" Ashley beamed.
"The two girls has showed their respective skills with Pudding's acrobatics and Mew Powers and Nakoruru's quick kodachi skills and teamwork with Mamahaha!" Drake grinned. "But Pudding was quicker with her Ribbon Pudding Ring Inferno, turning both Nakoruru and Mamahaha into gelation, making it easy picking for Pudding to eliminate them!"
"At least Mamahaha didn't get literally cooked." Ashley said, chuckling nervously.
MEWTWO
NODE: POKEMON
ENTERED IN: Section 2; Number 45
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 4
"Speaking of people who are relevant in the last Tournament of Kikai, the runner-up is still doing well as always." Drake grinned. "And this is why he is severely handicapped!"
"For context, Mewtwo has gotten a punishment from the wheel where he has taken six Sand Attacks to the face which lowered his accuracy of all of moves." Ashley winced. "Even moves like Psychic would miss most of the time."
"Regardless, this wasn't Mewtwo's first time handicapped as he willingly chose a Superstar stage with Franklin Badges aka no projectiles." Drake reminded. "And Shingo from King of Fighters XV certainly learned that the hard way."
"To be fair, Shingo didn't go out without a fight but even without 100% accurate attacks except for Swift, Mewtwo has proven to be a versatile threat with moves like Drain Punch and Ice Punch." Ashley noted. "In the end, Mewtwo found out against his opponent with a respectable fourth eliminations
JACK SKELLINGTON
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 79
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"It may not be Halloween, but it seems that it is not going to do anything to lessen Jack's spirit!" Drake winced.
"Especially since just like in the last Tournament of Kikai, he was facing Belmont from Super Smash Bros, this time, Richter!" Ashley noted.
"The two used their respective whips along with Richter's various projectiles and Jack's magic from Kingdom Hearts." Drake noted. He then paused. "Hey, that reminds me, we didn't see much said magic in the last tournament, did we?"
"No, we didn't. Then again, Jack was probably focusing on making things more… Scary." Ashley said before shrugging. "In any case, both fighters were bringing their a-game!"
"In the end, Richter even got the upper hand by using his Vampire Killer as a lasso to ensnare Jack and try to send him spinning like a top out of the arena." Drake said.
"Emphasis on try as Jack managed to turn the tables by using his spinning state to bounce off the ropes and collided with Richter, sending HIM out of the ring!" Ashley noted.
"Richter put up a good fight but you can't beat the Pumpkin King as surprises!" Drake smirked.
PICHU
NODE: POKEMON
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 80
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Well, well, well, it seems like Pichu is making up for what happened in the third Battle of the Luminaries!" Drake grinned.
"And to a lesser extent the last Tournament of Kikai where he failed to get a single elimination." Ashley added. His face then fell. "To be fair, his opponent… Is not normal."
"Hey, come on." Drake said, chuckling nervously. "You know you can't get behind Scrat and his acorn in Ice Age."
"True. Scrat is determined if anything." Ashley said, rolling his eyes. "But so was Pichu as he used Agility to literally run circles around Scrat and even used the underrated Nuzzle!"
"But now even being paralyzed could stop Scrat's quest for his acorn so Pichu literally took matters into his tiny paws and tossed the acorn over the ropes." Drake grinned. "As if you expected anything else, Scrat leapt out after him."
"...Pudding DO have a point. Sure, I know that Orange-Ratchet loves his cartoon physics, Chowder and now Scrat?" Ashley said, looking more bored than annoyed.
"To be fair, it IS fitting for the both of them so I guess Orange didn't want to not do one for the two?" Drake asked. "You know, waste not, want not?"
"I guess…" Ashley said.
RON STOPPABLE
NODE: KIM POSSIBLE
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 83
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Well, well, well, we are finally at the reason why we got this plate!" Drake grinned. "Ron Stoppable was fighting against Kazuya Mishima from Super Smash Bros."
"Basically, the latter wanted to fight Ron for his Mystical Monkey Power and if you know Kazuya, you know that he doesn't do anything half-baked." Ashley frowned.
"Sure, Ron put up a decent fight and even had help from Chowder, but Kazuya ended up getting the upper hand and was about to throw BOTH of them out of the ring." Drake said. He then paused. "...Make no mistake, I am happy with the ending we got, but am I the only one who is a little curious what would happen if Kazuya succeeded seeing that you can only eliminate one person in a Big Guy Blocker?"
"I think the portal will just spit out whoever was thrown like a bad meal." Ashley shrugged. "But yeah, that is where the highlight of the battle. Tell me. When you think of Ron and Chowder, who do you also think of?"
"That's right, Rufus and Kimchi, the sidekicks of the aforementioned opponents of Kazuya not only saved the day, but also used a LIMIT BREAK!" Drake grinned.
"How do they do it? Well, basically you know Kirby's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros Brawl where he cooks an opponent in a stew pot, damaging them and making food?" Ashley asked. "That is basically what they did to Kazuya."
"And what is that that they cooked?" Drake asked before smirking. "Well, it is the naco!"
"Apparently, it is made by taking nacho cheese and tortilla chips, mixing it with the traditional fillings of a taco, placing it all within a tortilla shell, and then lifting up the sides to make a bag-like shape." Ashley said before sticking out his tongue in disgust. "Okay… I am going to be THAT guy again and ask if there is not ONE person in the arena who is at least like 'Um, thanks for the offer, but this feels a little much'? This looks like it has more fat than a stick of butter."
Drake glared at Ashley. "Don't be such a food-prude?"
The wizard slumped his arms in disbelief. "...Food-prude?"
"Hey, try it, man!" Rinky said from off-screen.
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Of course you would like it, Rinky!"
"I must agree with Rinky, Ashley." Cacey's voice said from off-screen.
The purple-haired man did a double-take. "Wait, even YOU, Cacey?"
"Yes, I am surprised too." Cacey said with a tone of defeat.
"Once you get past the… Sloppy presentation, it is quite good." Barry's voice offered. "Though I definitely recommended taking it a bit of the time."
Ashley paused for a moment. He then took a piece of the naco and put it inside of his mouth before squeezing.
"Hmm… Good." Ashley said.
"Alright, my turn!" Drake grinned.
With that, he grabbed the naco with both hands and opened his mouth wide. Ashley's eyes widened.
"No, wait!" Ashley reassured.
"Relax, Monika would never give me food with garlic in it!" Drake offered.
"No, it is not that, it's…" Ashley started.
CRUNCH!
SPLAT!
Drake took one bite out of the naco which resulted in a large explosion of beef and cheese which sent flying towards the camera, splattering all over it.
"Umm, oops?" Drake's voice said from behind the beef and cheese.
"...Look, I know that Ron would most likely be proud of your enthusiasm, but you can't take a big bite like something that compact and NOT accept consequences." Ashley muttered.
"Um, give us a few?"
(Five Minutes Later)
We now return to a clean camera with Drake grinning sheepishly and Ashley looking exasperated.
"Sorry about that, folks. Got a little excited there." Drake apologised.
"...Drake, Drake, XERO get a little excited. You should just be happy that none of the naco got into my hair!" Ashley said, darkly.
The vampire chuckled, nervously. "But yeah, Ron should be happy to know that the naco is popular in this studio."
"Not unless you count the cameraman…" Ashley snarked.
BLANKA
NODE: STREET FIGHTER
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 85
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Blanka seems to be doing well." Ashley noted. "Not only did he get a respectable score in the fourth Megamix Tournament, he is also off to a good start in this tournament."
"Yeah… I really regret not inviting him to the third Battle of the Luminaries." Drake lamented.
"It can't be helped, he appeared in Street Fighter II, having to compete with a lot of other iconic characters." Ashley frowned.
"Still…" Drake said before brightening up. "But yeah, now is not the time to worry about that at the moment. Though we technically can't talk about ALL of it."
"Agreed. At least not without giving names. Blanka was already in a match with someone, but he decided to switch opponents with someone." Ashley explained. "That someone is Willow the Treecko from Pokemon."
Drake frowned. "Should we still keep calling Treecko and Skitty by their names given by Chuggaaconroy?"
As if on cue, the phone rang. Drake and Ashley exchanged worried looks before the former got out his phone and answered it.
"H-Hello?" Drake asked.
"Oh, don't worry about it, I already found a loophole around it." Xero reassured.
Drake jumped at this. "Wait, really?"
"Yeah, it should be okay to call Skitty and Treecko, Chamomile and Willow respectively." Xero offered. "You should find out how sooner or later."
"Um, okay…" Drake said before pausing. "What about YOU?"
"...I mean I am feeling better than how I felt when I found out the news if THAT'S what you are asking." Xero sighed.
"Xero…" Drake said.
"Xero, I want to say that I feel sorry for myself, but my sympathy is with the real victims." Ashley frowned.
"I know, I know, as much as I love the Steve meme, even I can't overlook it." The bunny admitted. "I have no choice, but to abandon the meme…"
"...I have to ask… How are you going to react to Captain Olimar and Fang the Hunter when they come out?" Ashley asked.
There was a brief pause before Xero spoke. "...Look, I know that I have to face them eventually, but until further notice, could you give me time? I am still collecting my thoughts."
Ashley let out a sigh. "Okay, fair enough."
"Sorry, Xero…" Drake frowned.
"It's fine… I still need time to fully recover, but I think I could get through it before the night ends." The bunny offered.
Drake's eyes lit up. "R-Really?"
"Really? Besides, I already found a new meme to latch onto!" Xero grinned.
Drake and Ashley's faces felt when they heard this.
"Um, what?" Ashley asked.
"That's right! I got a goldmine right now!" Xero said, brightly. "Big Chungus!"
"BIG CHUNGUS!?" Ashley said in disbelief.
"That's right! He is the pinnacle of comedy!" Xero offered.
"...It is literally just Bugs Bunny's taking on Elmer Fudd's body shape!" Ashley scolded. "Which by the way, is not even canon anymore!"
"Oh yeah? If Big Chungus isn't canon, why did he appear in World of Mayhem?" Xero asked.
"LEBRON JAMES appeared in World of Mayhem!" Ashley shot back. "As you are saying that HE is canon to Looney Tunes."
"Might as well be seeing that he showed up in Multiversus." Xero piped up.
Ashley winced. "Y-Yeah, but you didn't put him in the World of Mayhem roster."
"Yeah, I actually went back and forth on that one." Xero admitted. "But as much as THAT discussion is interesting, we are distracting ourselves from my son."
"...You are Nicki Minaj now?" Drake asked.
"...Um, Drake, I am not asking you to not use other memes, just don't try to overshadow Big Chungus." Xero scolded.
Drake let out a deep groan. "Look, I know that you want to talk about Big Chungus, but can you wrap it up? You are running long!"
"Whoops, sorry about that! Don't worry, I will find a way to continue to praise when Big Chungus comes out!" Xero beamed. "Later!"
With that, he hung up. Ashley immediately slumped in his seat.
"...I don't freaking care if it is a new meme, can't Orange do ANYTHING different with Xero?" Ashley asked.
"I mean WE spam memes too." Drake admitted.
"Yeah, but WE tried to be varied!" Ashley said.
Drake chuckled nervously. "Anyway, as we said, Blanka was going up against Chamomile the Treecko, a nature-themed battle as you still have. But well, Blanka's electricity is not very effective against the Grass-type Pokemon, he balances it out with classic wrestling moves."
Ashley sighed before sitting up. "He also gained some new moves in Blanka-chan where he threw the mascot at his opponent and it exploded. Regardless of type, Chamomile's small size makes it easy for her to go over the ropes."
"Another fighter I am surprised to go out. But at least Chowder was in the 16th-20th range." Drake insisted. "But Chamomile, she got DEAD LAST."
"Yeah, it is not unheard of for major plot relevant characters to be a flash at the end, but still." Ashley winced.
GARNET
NODE: MULTIVERSUS/STEVEN UNIVERSE
ENTERED IN: Section 1; Number 6
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 5
"And here we have Garnet, eternally proving that she is stronger than you!" Drake smirked.
"Yeah, I wonder if she is going to be the Lord Hater of this tournament." Ashley mused. He then paused. "Which is totally weird because Lord Hater IS in this tournament."
"Yeah, I wonder how he will turn out." Drake nodded. He then shrugged. "Anyway, Garnet's latest opponent was Clair from Ehrgeiz."
Ashley frowned. "And let me tell you, Clair is definitely not the type to play fair, trying to prey on Garnet's insecurities, using hidden weapons and even tried to hit Garnet in the groin area and spanked her butt."
"Good thing that said areas are… Well, rock-solid." Drake offered.
Ashley looked at Drake in disgust. "Drake!"
The mayor's eyes widened as his face turned beet-red in embarrassment. "S-Sorry…"
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Anyway… Garnet knocked out with one good punch making it easy pickings for her to throw out of the arena."
"I am still stunned that she didn't make the Final Twelve in the last tournament, even WITH all of the fatigue she went through." Drake noted.
"Especially since Penny and Bugs came out BEFORE her and still made the Final 4." Ashley shrugged.
ARIEL
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/THE LITTLE MERMAID
ENTERED IN: Section 3; Number 63
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 3
"And making up for lost time is Ariel!" Drake grinned.
"And make up for lost time she did as she was up against Vilgax from Cartoon Network: Punch-Time Explosion!" Ashley said before shuddering. "Not someone to take lightly."
"Indeed, Vilgax has proven why he has that Big Guy status despite it being null and void in this section." Drake noted. "However, Ariel has a lot of her own tricks!"
"Indeed, she used her Link Summon skills where she turns into water and splashes around the floor and uses a Smash Ball to turn into her Mirrorverse form!" Ashley noted. "And it is only fitting seeing that she is the only one to use it in the last tournament!"
"Indeed, she was the entry for the Disney character to use their Mirrorverse counterparts so we should see a lot more than that!" Drake grinned.
PENNY PROUD
NODE: DISNEY TELEVISION ANIMATIONS ALL-STARS/THE PROUD FAMILY
ENTERED IN: Section 3; Number 75
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 2
Drake brightened up when he saw Penny's picture. "I was really worried about Penny. I thought for sure that she would end up like Kasumi Todoh in the second Megamix Tournament."
"Same here. But it seems that it is less her but more than the Arena Split that almost ruined her chances." Ashley noted. "At least she shouldn't have to worry about that for a while."
"Indeed! She is up against Wave the Swallow from Sonic the Hedgehog… Which is weird because they were on the same team in the third Battle of the Luminaries." Drake frowned. "I wonder why they have so much animosity towards each other."
"To be fair, the groups of the Goketsuji twins and even BISON have joined so basically anyone who isn't Xuan Dou Zhi Wang, Freddy Krueger or Ace is part of the team by default." Ashley reminded. "Besides, as of the current section of said tournament, I don't even think Penny and Wave were even in the same room together. Or at least yet anyway."
"Also true…" Drake sighed. "But yeah, Penny is putting her training with Suga Mama to use, getting Wave into a headlock and even disappearing and teleporting behind Wave."
"Wave tried her best but in the end, Penny was ironically too unpredictable and got taken out with a strong football tackle." Ashley noted.
"Oh, right, I can't believe I forgot that Penny was on the football team as the only girl and not only that, she was a damn good one!" Drake noted. "How did I miss THAT in the recap?"
"To be fair, I think even PENNY forgot she was on the football team seeing that we never saw a single football based move in the last tournament." Ashley shrugged.
"Still I am in awe that she used STITCH'S BLASTER before a basic football tackle." Drake noted.
THE DEVIL
NODE: CUPHEAD
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 90
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"And just like his subordinate, King Dice in the third Battle of the Luminaries, the Devil has shown how much powerful Cuphead has!" Drake smirked.
"In fact, the Devil did BETTER than King Dice because the former has gotten the third slot." Ashley added.
"Oh? What was King Dice's slot placement in his first section again?" Drake asked.
Ashley then picked up his tablet. "Fifth place. Technically tied with Squirtle if we are looking solely at scores."
"Still, that's not too bad." Drake smiled.
"Indeed. But this is not about King Dice. This is about the Devil." Ashley noted. "And hoo boy, did he come to win!"
"Right, he was up against Ike and he has the poor mercenary seeing that Ike was a mid-range fighter and not only the Devil's trident is about the same length but he has a lot of different attacks unexpected from a bullet hell." Drake frowned.
"Instead, like sending out orbs all over and turning into various animals. Of course, Ike fought to fight back with him even using Chowder's beach ball projectiles as his own." Ashley said. "However, in the end, Ike fell to the Devil's long-armed hoof attack."
"If HE and King Dice are doing well, it makes you wonder what would happen if the Cuphead cast was there." Drake noted.
BEAST
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 82
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Well, this is a pleasant surprise." Ashley smiled. "Correct me if I am wrong, but while he didn't do horrible, I don't remember him doing so well to get the SECOND-TOP slot besides a certain someone we will cover shortly."
"Yeah, I also noticed that we didn't have ANY fighting skips." Drake noted. "Huh. Not even Big Guy Blockers were immune to those. Weird."
"Agreed. The closest one that could be potential for a fighter skip isssss… Actually THIS fight!" Ashley reminded.
"Right, remember when Blanka and Treecko had different opponents but they switched?" Drake asked. "It is actually Beast and Lily from Street Fighter respectively."
"Not only were Blanka and Lily were nodal companions but they actually had a character interaction in 6 so it is no surprise that they would help each other out." Ashley noted.
"Furthermore, Lily has gotten a present from the wheel. Richter's weapons." Drake said.
"And UNLIKE in the last tournament, Monika had the decency to NOT steal the latter's weapons because that would cause unnecessary chaos in an ALREADY chaotic tournament!" Ashley snarked.
Drake chuckled nervously. "Anyway, while Lily was understandably concerned, she ended up doing a decent job mixing Richter's weapons with her pogamoggans and aeromancy."
"However, Beast is the embodiment of Boring yet Practical, being using the natural strength from his beast form to tank most of Lily's attacks whether they were from her actual moveset or her reward from the wheel." Ashley noted.
"Yeah, when Lily was using his Vampire Killer on him, Beast just grabbed it before it could hurt him and pulled it using the big difference in strength." Drake said.
Ashley blinked twice. "...Isn't Lily as strong as the Beast?"
"Yeah, with her pogamoggans." Drake reminded. "Sure, I could argue that she could do the same with the whip, but she is clearly less experienced."
"True… Beast is also unskilled but at the same time more experienced than someone who literally picked up a whip for the first time." Ashley shrugged.
BUGS BUNNY
NODE: LOONEY TUNES: WORLD OF MAYHEM
ENTERED IN: Section 4; Number 92
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Okay, is anyone surprised that Bugs Bunny has gotten the top slot?" Drake asked.
"To be fair, he WAS tied for Beast and got the top slot because he has gotten the last spot of the section." Ashley reminded. "Still stunned that Beast almost got the top slot."
"Well, regardless, Bugs is obviously the best for last and as always, he does not disappoint!" Drake grinned. "He was up against the Panda King from Sly Cooper, a previous ally of his from the last tournament turned opponent!"
"And as you would expect, it was literally explosive with both fighters' affinity for explosives." Ashley noted. "The Panda King even got some good hits in on Bugs."
"Unfortunately, a good hit went in a bad direction when the Panda King knocked Bugs into the Safe Zone." Drake winced. "Bugs ended up changing and turning into Winter Bugs."
Ashley raised an eyebrow. "I know that Bugs live for being silly, but it still feels a little random."
"...Orange-Ratchet loves cryomancers, remember?" Drake said, matter-of-factly.
"...Ah." Ashley said, rolling his eyes.
"But yeah, it is Winter Bugs' snow-blower and explosives against the Panda King's pyromancy and explosives." Drake smirked. "It was a fun time. And in the end, the Panda King even had the upper hand. But Bugs did the old 'Here, take this' joke on Panda King with a stick of dynamite."
"So now with that, Bugs has gotten the choice of the next Mystery Fighter!" Ashley smiled. "But that for another time. For now, we'll say goodbye to Lily, Chowder & Kimchi, Ike, Treecko, the Panda King, Shingo and Scrat."
"And welcome Jack, Pichu, Beast, Ron, Blanka, Ushi, Marx, the Devil and Bugs!" Drake grinned. "Now onto the Safe Zone Results!"
The lights then went off as usual before Cacey walked in with her glowing, floating balls.
"Greetings. Today, I will present the latest Safe Zone results, but before I do that, I would like to share my opinion on something." Cacey said.
Then, two crystal balls flew up. One had the face of Bugs Bunny and the other one had the face of Patrick Star.
"Basically, I assumed that Bugs and Patrick would get the top slot from what I assumed from the votes." Cacey noted. "However, there were a couple of surprises."
Then, two more crystal balls floated up. One had the face of Ron Stoppable and the other had Nakoruru."
"They were tied with not only each other, but Ron and NAKORURU." Cacey pointed out. "However, they were beaten out by one sole person."
With that, the crystal balls floated away as a new one floated up in front of Cacey. It had the face of a pink creature with a jester's hat.
"It was MARX. Someone whose fate would have been sealed if it wasn't for the Big Guy Blocker." Cacey mused before frowning. "Well, better let him cause chaos in the Safe Zone Challenger and give the main arena some peace even for a moment."
She then sighed before raising up another crystal ball. This one had a picture of a giant mechanical jack-in-the box.
"And what a fitting one it is as the next one is a straight up transplant of a boss fight from a game." Cacey explained. "Marx was facing off against Mad Jack from Donkey Kong 64, a scary mad-in-the-box. What is even scary is that his target was Tiny Kong, the YOUNGEST Kong besides Kiddie Kong. …Well, she WAS probably the second-youngest before her redesign. I never understood the sudden age-up."
She then shook her head.
"Normally, people will be worried about fighting such a boss, but seeing that Marx is a KIRBY FINAL BOSS, he is actually ecstatic to fight." Cacey said, rolling her glowing eyes.
She then sighed.
"However, Marx has to beat Mad Jack in a short amount of time." Cacey explained. "And to be fair, it was quite simple for him. It helps that he is also a Nintendo so he should know Mad Jack at least once."
She then groaned.
"In the end, Marx won and ended up getting his boss powers." Cacey muttered. "Poor Chowder really drew the short end of the stick, even if this could have been avoided if he just gave Marx his popcorn."
She then slapped her hands together with a smile.
"Regardless, it is interesting to note that Marx is our first GAME Safe Zone Challenger." Cacey noted. She then paused. "Hm. Maybe Orange-Ratchet was right to not put his story on … The voters seem to be more focused on the game side. Anyway, onto the stats."

"Hmm… Not too much change in the stats other than Ariel taking the sole MVP spot of Kingdom Hearts and Marx tying with Landia and Rick for Kirby MVP." Cacey mused. "Then again, Big Guy Blocker DO slow down eliminations."
She then smiled while floating up four crystal balls.
"Normally, this is the part where I will mention the mystery envelopes but…" Cacey said.
With that, three of them floated away with the final one having a question mark on it.
"Seeing that Orange-Ratchet more or less said outright that the Mystery Reserves would be the one gimmick, there is no need to beat around the bush." Cacey smirked. "Stay tuned and…"
Suddenly, a bat landed on top of Cacey's shoulder. The secretary looked in confusion.
"M-Mayor Drake, what is…?" Cacey asked.
The vampire then whispered into Cacey's ears. The latter's eyes bugged out.
"Really? When?" Cacey asked.
"A day AFTER the Tournament of Kikai got updated." Drake answered.
"Oh, wow…" Cacey said.
With that, she looked at the camera.
"Um, apologies, remember when I said that we will be back? Well, I still stand by that statement but it seems that we will be going even MORE slower than usual." Cacey mused. "You should find out why soon. Regardless, please don't go away. Trust me, you would WANT to listen to this."
