Chapter 71 Rei's Life

At the castle Rei was looking outside a window to see all the soldiers getting ready to fight the Swamp Witch.

"Big bro wants to make sure we're safe." She frowns.

She wanted to play with Yuya but with the war she can't have much time with him. She goes out and wonders what to do today.

Rei wanders around the streets thinking what to do, but then she saw a metal stag beetle like ghost, she chases after it before it vanished.

"What?" She rubs her eyes.

She then saw visions of people, a boy with blue hair and a silver haired boy. She looks before they vanished.

"Huh?" She was confused.

A cloaked man was near and he looks at her. "You shouldn't worry Rei."

She looks. "How do you know my name?"

He chuckles. "Let's say, i'm a old friend. How's your family?"

"Huh?" She got confused again.

"Are they good?"

"Yes." She nodded. "They're great and I love them." She smiled.

He smiles. "I see, well that's great to know. You've got a good life."

She got confused by his words.

"But we'll meet again." he walks away.

She stares at him and has a feeling that she knows him.

"Who is he?"

The cloaked man kept going and Melona was nearby and goes in front of him.

"So you know that girl." She said.

"Yes." He said.

Melona chuckles. "Well I wonder what her reaction will be if I fought you."

She charges, he then looks up as his eyes glowed sending her back with a shockwave. Melona was shocked since he didn't even move.

"What was that?!" She looks at him.

"You should surrender before you get hurt." He warned her.

"Oh now your mocking me." She shoots acid at him but he blocks it with a barrier stopping it with ease.

He then appears behind her shocking the slime.

"You should give up before you have a chance, my power far exceeds you, I only came to see an old friend. Now learn your place." He vanishes from that world.

Melona was shaking since she never felt this much dread even before meeting her mistress.

"Who was he?" She was sweating hard since she never seen him before.

Yet the presence he had when he got close to her made her feel so scared she would actually die.

"What was he?! Who can even have that power?"

Yuya was at his room and he looks outside a window feeling a very familiar presence.

"What? That can't be him right?"

He haven't felt this for a long time and if it was him than did he come back, he's not sure if it is him or not.

"Rei." He wonders where she went and he goes to find her.

If he was here, he might have went after her to check on Rei. That would be the only reason he would have to come here.

Yuya goes to check for Rei since she should be close as he doesn't let her leave he city on her own for her safety because of the Swamp Witch might do something.

He goes down the road and looks around for anyone that might appear.

"You!"

He sighs since he knows that voice very well. "Not again."

He turns back to see Elina as she glares at him.

"What do you want now?" He frowns.

"I came for you to be punished. Like you took my sister!" She pulls out her lance.

"I am literally the King now and can punish you instead." He told her.

"I don't care I will beat you and get big sister back!" She charged at him.

He dodges her spear as she jabs at him many times with Yuya dodging each of them.

He then grabs her weapon and throws her down.

"Ow!" She grunted.

He then goes up to her. "You should learn to control yourself Elina, your sister has her own life and the count can't do anything to her without going against my own orders."

He had met the man and he tried to demand Leina back but Yuya showed why he's the king now and he backed down since Yuya was too powerful for him to make demands.

"I am the only one that deserves her!" She screeches.

He puts a finger on her lips to silence her. "Shhhh. Calm down, don't want others to hear you or the guards will attack you."

She frowns but knows he's right as not even her own men can stop them with those armors on.

"Now, you should learn to accept that she would be with someone else sooner or later. Her heart is hers to decide, you should be happy for her not turn her into a caged bird. She deserved to fly free, she stayed with me by her own feelings." He said.

He loves Leina and she loves him back, they are together and Leina chose to stand by her side as instead of just adventuring she chose love and he loved her back.

"So if you truly love your sister, let her have a choice." He walks away from her.

Elina stares at him and he leaves her alone. She could only think about his words in silence.

Yuya managed to find Rei and brings her back to the castle as she was wondering about the man from before.

He looks at his sister since she might be getting her memories back from the past life again. He wonders if she can handle it.

Note: Rei had a moment with Yuya talking some sense on to Elina, as he's trying to get her to stop peacefully.
