Chapter 57: A Vacation of Disaster Part 3: An Unlikely Ally
At the Hawaiian Paradise, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Scootaloo were waiting in Lilo's room, Twilight pacing around in the room as they waited for Spyro to return while Jumba had left the room to get some things he believed could help them save their friends. After a little while, they heard what sounded like engines, looking out the window to see the Dragon's Crest appearing in the sky, watching as it flew past the house and to the original place where it landed, rushing out of Lilo's room and heading to the ship. When the Dragon's Crest landed, Spyro immediately rushed out of the ship, looking around and saw his friends running to him, seeing his sister on Rainbow Dashes back and ran over to them, giving them a hug as he was relieved they were safe and sound.
"Thank goodness you're all ok." Spyro said, letting them go. "I'm so sorry I left you girls alone. I should have known better. I should have known it was a trick."
"It's ok Spyro, don't beat yourself up about it." Twilight said, putting her hoof on his cheek. "No one could have predicted this."
"It's my fault." Demyx said, walking down the ramp. "If I hadn't given Spyro the Beskar... is there something I can do?"
"You've done enough." Spyro replied, picking Scootaloo up. "I should have known better than to trust a Nobody." Spyro then walked away from his ship, the girls following behind him while Demyx watched them leave him alone, Scootaloo looking over her brothers shoulder to look at Demyx, who wanted to run after them, but stayed where he stood, sitting on the ground as he started to sulk about what he did. "A bit of advice Scootaloo, never trust a Nobody."
"But, isn't Axel a Nobody?" Pinkie asked.
"He's actually known as Lea." Spyro replied. "When his Heartless and his Nobody were destroyed, he was then completed. But he likes to refer to himself as Axel to remember the happier times he had with his friend, Roxas."
"But, Demyx seems nice." Scootaloo said. "He doesn't seem bad at all."
"Nobodies don't have hearts Scoots." Spyro replied. "They remember what it is like to have one, so they're good at mimicking those emotions."
As they went away, Demyx looked down to the ground, not fully understanding what he was feeling as he felt a sudden pang in his chest, feeling like he had been stabbed in the chest and felt horrible. At Lilo's house, Jumba was outside waiting for them just as Stitch came out with Lilo, getting into what looked like a buggy just as Jumba brought out a few things.
"Ah, friend of 626, welcome back." Jumba said, walking over. "Gantu and strange man in black coat took friends back to ship."
"Xaldin." Spyro said. "We need to find them before anything happens to them."
"Not to worry, we know where ship is at." Jumba replied. "626 will take you to Gantu's ship and help save pony friends."
"Great." Spyro said, walking to the buggy. "Then let's get going."
"I'll come as well." Scootaloo said, running up, but was picked up by Spyro.
"No Scoots, you're staying here." Spyro replied. "It's too dangerous."
"Oh come on Spyro, I want to help." Scootaloo said. "Plus, I might get my Cutie Mark in Rescuing Friends!"
"No, I'm not risking your safety." Spyro replied, setting her down. "Jumba, keep an eye on Scootaloo and don't let her out of your sight."
Spyro and the rest of his friends walked up to the buggy, taking the front seat while Twilight and Pinkie sat in the back just as Stitch took the wheel, turning the buggy on and driving off to where Gantu was at, leaving Jumba, Lilo, and Scootaloo on the dirt path, watching as they drove off.
"Don't worry little pony." Jumba said. "626 will keep them safe."
"Yeah, Stitch will show him not to mess with his friends." Lilo said.
"I hope you're right." Scootaloo said.
She then walked away from the house and started heading back to the ship, walking through the foliage to wait for her brother and friends to get back when she noticed Demyx in the distance, sitting on the edge of a cliff and looking at his bracelet, taking it off as he looked it over. He was about to throw it into the sea, getting rid of the string of seashells, but couldn't do it, stopping himself before he could throw it and seemingly struggling to commit to getting rid of the bracelet, but he sighed, his arm dropping as he held onto the bracelet, looking at it and being confused about why he couldn't get rid of it. A moment later, he heard hoof steps coming from behind him, turning to see Scootaloo walking up to him.
"Demyx, what are you doing here?" Scootaloo asked. "Why aren't you with Spyro?"
"Well, I just don't feel like fighting." Demyx replied, lying down on his back and looking to the sky. "And I think your brother hates me right now, as he should. I gave him that thing of Beskar and because of me, his friends and yours have been captured."
"But, it was this Xaldin guy who did this, not you." Scootaloo replied, looking down at him.
"But it's true." Demyx replied. "I was as much a part of Xaldin's plan like anyone else would be. Plus, members of the Organization are forbidden from fighting each other. I'm ranked as the ninth strongest, Xaldin is the third strongest, he'd chew me up and spit me out like bubble gum." He then sat up and looked out to the ocean, watching the waves and a few of the surfers who were riding them, sighing as he thought about what he did. "You shouldn't even be around me. Remember what your brother told you, never trust a Nobody."
Scootaloo could see how hurt he was, deciding to walked over and sit down next to him, leaning into Demyx and catching him by surprise.
"Well, I trust you." Scootaloo replied, confusing the Nobody. "You kept the bracelet my friends and I made for you, and you played with us all day yesterday. Despite what my brother said, you need to give somepony a chance and trust them and gain trust in return."
Demyx was left speechless, hearing what the filly just said to him and felt something in his chest, a warm feeling he never felt before as he reached down and patted her on the head, wondering what it was he was feeling and smiled, looking out to the horizon while with a new friend.
"How touching." Came a voice behind them, turning to see it was Xaldin. "It seems you made a new friend Demyx."
"Xaldin!" Demyx said, getting up and moving in front of the filly. "You tricked me! You not only used me to get Spyro out of the way so you could kidnap these ponies, but you also interrupted Larxene's mission! That's treason!"
"What you're doing is treason." Xaldin replied, two Dragoons appearing next to him. "Fraternizing with the enemy, aiding our enemy a betting an enemy, sabotage and conspiracy. This will definitely get you turned to a Dusk, or worse, dust!" The Dragoons then moved forward, making Demyx back away and move the filly away. "Now hand over the filly and I'll forgive your transgressions."
Demyx looked back to the filly, seeing how scared she looked and then to Xaldin, who was stronger than him and would easily defeat him in a fight, but before he could make his decision, he looked back to Scootaloo, still feeling something in his chest and then to his bracelet, staring at it as his thoughts rushed through his mind, telling him to obey, but also not give him Scootaloo.
"They consider you their friend." Spyro's words echoed in his mind. "As their friend, they put their trust and faith into you, knowing you'll do the right thing."
"Well?" Xaldin said, getting impatient.
Demyx closed his eyes, knowing he was going to regret it, but understood it was the right thing to do, so he called his Sitar and played a few cords, summoning multiple water clones of himself as he stood between him and his friend.
"So, you choose to turn your back on the organization." Xaldin said. "I always knew you weren't cut out for this." A second later, three spears fell from the sky, piercing through Demyx as he felt a searing pain go through his body, his vision growing dark. "Scratch one traitor."
"Demyx!" Scootaloo shouted.
She then ran to see if she could help, watching the spears were pulled out of her new friend as he started to fade, falling to the ground, but the Dragoon then grabbed her, kicking and screaming for it to let her go as it flew away. Xaldin turned his head to the fading Demyx, watching him try to get up, but fell to the ground, smiling as he walked away through a corridor and leaving him behind. Demyx tried to get up again, but the pain he was felt go throughout his body was too much for him to bear, pulling himself over to the mountain side and sitting himself up, watching as he was about to fade, regretting going up against Xaldin in the first place, but also happy, now understanding what it meant to have a friend. As he felt himself fade, the pain ended, thinking he was already dead, he opened his eyes, but was surprised, the damage done to him was gone, feeling the places where the damage was done to him, but didn't feel anything as if it never happened.
He looked around to see what was going on or if he was a ghost, but saw a white butterfly on his knee, slowly flapping it's wings as it was staring at him, watching what he would do next before it flapped it's wings and flew into the forest, leaving him dumbfounded. Not understanding was was going on, he got up and was about to leave this world, find someplace safe where the Organization wouldn't find him, but then looked out to the direction the Dragoon took Scootaloo, looking down at his bracelet and remembering the sacred look on her face, looking back in that direction as he stood on the cliff. In the buggy, Spyro was tense, thinking about his friends and what was going on, fearing the worst when he looked over to Twilight, who was rubbing her head, but looked ok, Rainbow Dash flying over head as she flew in the sky, keeping an eye out for the ship they were heading to and Pinkie Pie, enjoying the ride as they zoomed through the forest, her forelegs up high as she screamed with delight at how fast they were going. A few minutes later, they arrived at what appeared to be a ravine with a waterfall going down and a small stream flowing outward away from the fall, but in the middle of the ravine was a large ship and out of it came Gantu, carrying his blaster and some kind of glass container on his back.
"Gantu." Stitch said, slowing the vehicle down.
"That's him, big old Mr. Meanie Whale guy!" Pinkie said, growling like a dog.
"But where are our friends?" Twilight asked.
"Probably in the ship." Spyro replied. "He's probably going back out to get the rest of you guys."
"Well let's fly in there and show him what we're made of!" Rainbow Dash said, calling her Keyblade.
"Rainbow, we haven't started training." Twilight pointed out. "We don't exactly know how to use our blades yet."
"Doesn't mean we can't do some damage!" Rainbow Dash replied.
A moment later, Gantu walked back in, forgetting something and giving them the chance to sneak up, getting out of the vehicle and carefully moving through the water as they approached, but a moment later a force field surrounded the five of them, everyone getting their weapons out as four Dragoons appeared from the void, blocking their way as they prepared for a fight. Out of a corridor, Xaldin walked out of it, smiling at Spyro as he approached the group, followed by Gantu who walked out with the biggest smile on his face.
"Well, it seems you came back earlier than I expected." Xaldin said. "I was hoping to have captured the others before you arrived, but it seems you brought them to me, how kind of you."
"Xaldin, let my friends go, NOW!" Spyro shouted, his eyes turning yellow and red.
"Careful there young prince." Xaldin replied, a dark smile on his face. "I would hate for something to happen to this little filly."
As he said it, Gantu reached behind his back, pulling the glass container he had and in it was Scootaloo, fear in her eyes as she looked out and saw Spyro, hitting the glass as she tried to break out.
"Scootaloo!" Spyro shouted.
"You really thought leaving her behind was a good idea?" Xaldin asked, amused by what was happening. "When in fact, it's the opposite and she was put in even more danger. You failed to protect her for a second time and this time, you won't be able to save her."
"Let her go, now!" Spyro shouted, rushing towards him, but Xaldin's spears blocked the attack. "If you so much as harm a single hair on her head, I'll-"
"I'm not interested in these ponies, but in what I get from trading them." Xaldin replied, turning to Gantu. "I brought you the other three. Now uphold your end of the bargain."
"625 should be back soon with what you want." Gantu replied. "Once we have them contained, it's all yours."
"Excellent." Xaldin said, breaking the lock. "Spare the ponies, destroy the prince."
The Dragoons then approached the three ponies that hadn't been captured, the three of them swinging their blades randomly while Stitch started to attack them, grabbing onto the head of one of them and frantically hitting and scratching it, making the dragon-like Nobody flail his spear around before reaching up and trying to pull Stitch off it's head. Spyro leapt back to the girls, flipping over the Dragoons before attacking the closest one, handling it as he got a few blows into before destroying it. The girls managed to get a few hits in, Rainbow Dash zooming around and striking the Dragoons in random spots and causing them to stagger, getting rid of a few before more took their place, Pinkie doing her thing, she jumped to some nearby rocks with two Dragoons running after her, but when they got to the rock she dove behind, she popped up from another one, waving to them and they went after her, only to duck down and pop up at another one. She kept this up for a little bit before they each waited between two rocks to catch her, but she had appeared between them and giggled, making them look behind as she swung her Keyblade in a circle and took them out with a single swipe.
Twilight however wasn't much of a fighter, taking on a single Dragoon and blocking it's attacks, dodging and jumping until it got it's spear stuck in the ground, using her magic to fire a beam of magic at it and knock it away from it's weapon, dazing it before rushing forward and swinging, just scrapping it's side as it flew up and got it's spear. It then flew towards Twilight as it planned on striking her head on, but she just teleported away, making the Dragoon bounce off the barrier and falling to the ground, allowing the lavender unicorn to appear by it's side again and deal the finishing blow, turning it to light as it faded, but when it did, multiple Dusks appeared from the void, approaching the ponies as they engaged them, finding them to be more elusive as they bent and turned to avoid the attacks, retaliating and knocking them to the ground. Spyro noticed them being hit by the Dusks and finished off the last Dragoon, leaping over them and using the Force to push them back, sending them towards Xaldin as he destroyed a few to avoid being harmed, scowling at Spyro while his friends got up.
"Not bad, for a bunch of rookies." Xaldin said, his spears appearing behind him and in his hands. "But how will you fare against me?"
"Girls, leave him to me." Spyro said, raising his blade. "You're not ready to face a member of Organization XIII."
"Dude, we can help!" Rainbow Dash said, hovering next to him. "We took care of those Dragon thingies."
"Yes, but without proper training." Spyro replied. "We never started your training, so you barely have any kind of combat training."
"That doesn't mean we can't help." Twilight said, she and Pinkie coming next to him. "We can do this together."
"Hmph, is this your power?" Xaldin asked, unamused by what he was seeing. "Your 'Magic of Friendship?' Friendship is nothing more than a weakness that can be exploited. Having friends means having attachments. Attachments that can be severed and destroyed with time. What good is such attachments if they will only make you weaker and more vulnerable?"
"That's the difference between the two of us Xaldin." Spyro replied. "The bond we make with our friends is not a weakness, it's the true power of the heart. You only focus on anger and hatred, hoping to harness the darkness from others and using their anger against them, turn them into Heartless. But my friends are my power, just like it is Sora's power. As long as I have them with me, nothing will stop me, not even you."
"A touching speech, but even then it's pointless." Xaldin said, looking back to Gantu as he got his blaster out, pointing it at the container. "Now surrender, or the filly will pay the price."
Spyro could feel his blood boiling, wanting to lash out and plunge his blade through Xaldin and end the fight, but if he moved, Gantu would harm Scootaloo, a Mexican stand off between them as Spyro could easily take Xaldin, but with Gantu holding their ace, he couldn't take the risk, lowering his Keyblade as he was about to surrender. But they then heard what sounded like music, looking around to see what it was when another Nobody appeared behind Gantu, kicking him in the knee before leaping up and spin kicking him in the head, knocking him down as he dropped the container, not shattering on impact, but shaking the filly up. Xaldin turned to see Gantu was down and a Dancer as moving to the filly, opening it's container just as more of them skated into the ship to get the others, surprising him.
"Dancers?" Xaldin said, confusing everyone.
"Wait, I thought they take orders from Xaldin." Rainbow Dash said.
"Some do, but all members of Organization XIII command a large number of Nobodies." Spyro answered.
"But why did that one free Scootaloo?" Twilight asked. "Doesn't he work for Xaldin?"
"Well, Xaldin's primary force is Dragoons, so he's more about power and strength." Spyro answered. "Dancers are annoying just like... Demyx."
A moment later, a corridor opened in front of Spyro, walking out was Demyx with a big smile as he held his Sitar, surprising Xaldin as he arrived.
"You!?" Xaldin exclaimed, backing away. "Not possible, I stabbed you through critical points of your body, how are you still standing?"
"I don't understand it myself really." Demyx replied. "But I don't think I'm in the mood for telling you."
"So you'd go against the Organization and ally yourself with the enemy!?" Xaldin asked, ready to fight.
"No, I'm not against the Organization." Demyx replied. "I'm against you. Dance water, DANCE!"
A moment later, multiple water clones shot out from underneath them, circling around as Demyx played his Sitar, which freaked Xaldin out as he knew what Demyx was capable of, even if he was one of the weakest members of the organization. Xaldin then used his spears to take care of the clones, spinning them around to destroy the clones and to interrupt Demyx's sing, but as the last one was destroyed, Spyro lunged forward and struck him, sending him into the air as he leapt up and slashed at him, slamming him down into the ground as the ground beneath him cracked, which he controlled his spears to try and hit him, but Spyro flipped backwards, landing a few feet away and leapt back again as more spears struck the ground. They then exchanged hits, Spyro dodging and flipping around, blocking and deflecting the spears while he landed blows left and right, being overwhelmed by the flurry of attacks until his spears, blocked the hit, growing angrier as he started to glow green, his spears spinning and twirling as he sent them at Spyro, who rolled out of the way and regrouped with his friends.
"Ok, now he's getting desperate." Spyro said, backing away.
"Why's he glowing?" Pinkie asked.
"It's his Desperate Move." He replied. "He's stronger and more dangerous than he was before. And since he's glowing green, he's practically invincible for the next few moments."
"So what do we do?" Twilight asked.
"Just avoid him." Spyro replied.
He then twirled his spears around in his hands, swinging and twirling trying to hit anyone, but everyone avoided his attacks, Demyx charging with his water slide and slamming him, but he just bounced off, Stitch firing his old blasters to hurt him, but again, they just bounced off, avoiding his strikes until the green aura faded, holding his spears as he prepared for another fight.
"Dudes good." Demyx said, sliding back to the group. "But now he's going to be even tougher to deal with."
"Nothing we can't handle." Rainbow Dash said, hovering over them. "We'll have this guy licked in no time."
"I wouldn't underestimate your opponent if I were you." Xaldin said. "Even if you manage to free your friends, when Gantu comes to, they will just be caught again."
"Not if we end this fight quickly." Spyro replied.
He then rushed forward, hoping to land a solid blow to finish him, but Xaldin just moved to the side, tripping him to the ground before turning to the mares.
"Such a pity." Xaldin said. "Gantu wanted you all alive, but he'll have to settle for you being on deaths doorstep."
"Girls!" Spyro shouted, getting up. "Drive, now!"
A moment later, a sphere of golden light appeared around Spyro, Xaldin recognizing it and then to his friends, using his spears and sending three of them at them, knowing he can save only one or two of them, depending on which drive he uses, so he could get at least one of them. A moment later, a glowing light blinded him, causing some dust to explode outward as the spears hit their mark, grinning in victory as he believed he got one of them. However, when the dome behind him shattered and the dragon shot into the air, he kept staring at the dust cloud, wondering who he got, but instead, three ethereal equines shot out of the cloud, surprising him as he failed to land a single blow. At the ship, the rest of their friends had just been freed from the cramp containers, rushing out to get away when they saw the dragon shoot into the air, watching as it rose high in the sky, only for their jaws to drop when they saw three ethereal ponies circling the dragon instead of two.
"Wait, hold on, what?" Applejack asked. "What in the name of Equestria is going on?"
"Three ponies this time?" Rarity asked. "I thought the fusions used two ponies?"
"Maybe when he changed and grew stronger, it allowed him to have more of his friends fuse with him." Fluttershy suggested. "Like when we fused to defeat Discord."
"Whatever is going on, I hope Spyro knows what he's doing." Applejack said.
They all watched as the four ethereal creatures kept climbing higher and higher until they collided with each other, four different colored lights rained down from the sky, the clouds overhead becoming darker, everyone on the island immediately looking for shelter while a few watched the light show happening. When the light started to die down, Spyro was completely different as his left hand side was now pink with the blue and yellow balloons all over it, the right was lavender with stars all over it, but the center this time was cyan and not royal purple, the tri-colored lightning bolts going down the back as his hair grew out, puffy like Pinkie's hair, but smooth and long like Twilights, but then uneven and uncut like Rainbow Dash at the end. The hair then turned rainbow as a streak of pink appeared left to the purple as cyan colored Pegasus wings appeared on his back as a lavender horn appeared on his head. Then the Keyblades he usually gets from them appeared above his head, Spyro crossing his arms as the blades spun behind him in a circle, smiling as his eyes revealed to be all four eye colors, Royal purple, dark purple, cyan, and magenta.
"So this is the Fusion Drive I heard from Marluxia." Xaldin said, smiling. "I must say, it's more colorful than I thought."
"And more powerful than you could ever imagine." Spyro said, their voices fused as one. "Now you shall experience what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a flurry of attacks."
Before he could react, Spyro had hit him in the back, turning to watch him move to the right, but then appear on the left, slashing him with his Keyblade, moving one direction and appearing some where else as Xaldin kept turning to get a hit, failing to keep up with him until he had enough, the green aura appearing around him again, but Spyro lifted his hand into the air, a bright purple star appearing above him as he used his gravity spell to increase gravity around him, putting a serious strain on him as the ground beneath him started to crack the ground as he fell to his knees, trying his best to get back up, but failing as the gravity pushed him to his limit. The aura then faded as did the spell, letting Xaldin grab two of his spears and lung, swinging and thrusting to hit his enemy, but Spyro kept dodging and blocking as the blades flew around him and stopped every attack, walking forward and approaching Xaldin, who was backing away. A moment later, three balloons appeared behind him and multiple party cannons rolled out, firing three different colored bolts of lightning into his back and making him collapse to the ground.
He then took a risk and activated his aura again, this time rolling out of the way as the star appeared again to restrain him and he leapt up, his spears lining up as he rode on them into the sky to get some altitude, but Spyro flapped his wings and flew after him, appearing in front of him and attempting to hit him, but the aura kept him from feeling pain, going as high as he could and summoning dangerous winds to hit him, but Spyro appeared in front of him again. Having enough of Spyro, he sent the wind down towards him, but a blue star appeared this time, blocking the wind and allowing Spyro to disappear again, this time Xaldin felt fear, not the fake fear he would project at times, but genuine fear as he looked around the clouds, trying to find him in the clouds, but couldn't see him due to the cloud coverage. A second later, a flash of yellow zoomed past and hit him in the back, causing him to grunt in pain and turn around, but getting blind sided by a streak of red from his left, followed by blue from his left, looking around as the clouds finally cleared, shocked to find that he was caught in a ring of color that was spinning around him, trapping him as he flew.
"The same thing Vanitas faced." Xaldin said. "But this time, you won't harm me."
A green aura appeared around him, about to make himself invincible again, but this time a cyan colored streak flew from beneath him and slashed him on it's way up, catching him off guard as he started to fall, regaining his footing and looking, but then orange, green, and purple flew down on him and struck him again, leaving behind four colored gashes on his body, which didn't heal as he could no longer call his aura, looking around him to find seven ethereal beings flying around him. He looked between the seven beings, looking at each individual one in horror as he didn't understand what was going on and how there were seven instead of three like Vanitas had described after returning. Before he knew it, all seven rushed him, using his spears to try and block their attack, but they flew in the air as a series of cannons went off, covering him in batter and icing, distracting him as he tried to clean his eyes to see again, only to be knocked down and through the clouds and a shower of meteors falling from the sky, hitting him as he tried to regain control, but fell to the ground with a large thud, only getting up shakily and seeing Demyx and Stitch, ready to fight him.
"Wow, glad he's on our side." Demyx said, smiling nervously.
"You think this will end well for you?" Xaldin said, trying to walk. "But he is your enemy, and he will destroy you, whether you like it or not."
"Maybe, maybe not." Demyx replied. "But right now, he's actually my friend. And his sister..." He then turned and looked at Scootaloo, who was with her friends watching as Xaldin was being beaten, smiling at the filly and turning to face him again. "She's my best friend."
As he said it, a purple star appeared in front of them and Spyro rushed out, striking him again into the air and took off, separating into red, yellow, and blue after passing through another star, yellow taking Twilight's blade, yellow taking Pinkie's, and blue taking Rainbow Dashes, flying through and passing through him, leaving behind the primary colored gashes as the secondary were still visible. The three then returned to being one person, floating in the air as Xaldin fell, falling back to the ground and landing with a loud thud, dark energy coming off him as he started to fade, yelling out as he was defeated, fading from existence. Spyro then hovered down from the sky, pulling a piece of cake out of his hair and snacking on it, walking towards his friends as the barrier disappeared, allowing the rest of the ponies to come up, cheering him on.
"Hot dang sugarcube, ya'll were on fire there." Applejack said. "But, how'd ya combine with all three of them? I thought these drives only used two ponies."
"It once did." Spyro replied, the eyes turning royal purple. "But after evolving and the fight with Discord, it seems I can now fuse with three of you."
"Oh, Spyro nice." Stitch said, hoping up on his shoulder. "Hair look like lollipop."
"You better not try and eat it!" Rainbow Dash said, his eyes turning Magenta. "I get enough lollipop jokes from Spyro."
"Rainbow... Dash?" Stitch asked. "Stitch not understand."
"It's a fusion little guy." Twilight replied, Spyro's eyes turning dark purple. "When we fuse into this special drive, which is called a Fusion Drive."
"And they're TONS of fun!" Pinkie added, bouncing up and down as Spyro's eyes turned cyan. "I mean, they allow us to unite some kind of hidden powers we have and it allows Spyro to use that power and smack some baddies around! I mean, did you see us, we were like WHOOSH, SLASH, SLICE, VROOM!"
"I think they get it Pinkie." Spyro said. "Point is, when we fuse, I have access to new powers and abilities based on which of my friends I'm fused with. But as a condition, we basically inhabit the same body. Four hearts, four minds, four souls in a single vessel."
"But it use to be three." Twilight pointed out. "After Spyro evolved, he can now have three of us fuse with him"
"And buddy, it's the weirdest and most confusing thing in anyponies life." Rainbow Dash added. "Like, Pinkie Pie weird." A moment later, Spyro started to glow, the four of them separating back into four individuals. "Thankfully it doesn't last forever."
"Aw, I was just having fun." Pinkie Pie said.
"Dude, my brain just melted." Demyx said. "I mean, I only heard this from Marluxia and from Vanitas, but didn't think I'd actually get to see it."
"Well, now you have." Spyro said, putting his hand on Demyx's shoulder. "Thanks, for saving my friends and my sister."
"Ah, don't sweat it." Demyx replied. "I mean, you guys are my friends after all."
"That's something I didn't think I'd hear from you." Spyro said, the two chuckling.
"Alright fish lips, I found what you wanted." 625 said, walking up with a chest on wheels. "I just hope that creepy dude kept his-"
625 stopped where he was, looking up to see Spyro and all his friends standing in front of him, looking over to see and unconscious Gantu and a bunch of Nobody Dancers circling him.
"Cousin!" Stitch said, growling at him.
"And you don't like him?" Spyro asked.
"Not friends." Stitch replied. "Help Gantu."
"That's all I needed to hear." Spyro said.
He then walked up with his Keyblade out, the rest following close behind as 625 backed away, trying to put distance between him and the group of angry people and ponies.
"Hey now, let's not get violent." 625 said. "Tell you what, I'll give you what Gantu promised this shmuck Xaldin, and I'll just walk away, ok?"
Spyro looked at the chest 625 had with him, looking it over to see it was one that was made by a previous Prince of Light and Darkness, now realizing what Xaldin wanted and why he wanted his friends. He then looked to 625, leering at him before dismissing his Keyblade, everyone looking to him.
"Get lost before I change my mind." Spyro said.
625 smiled and rushed past them, running past the Dancers and into the ship, closing the hatch to avoid being attacked while Spyro walked over to the chest and picked it up, putting it over his shoulder.
"Well, looks like we got some treasure today guys!" Spyro said with a goofy smile. "Shall we return to the ship and call it a day?"
"Pfft, after today, we need a vacation from this vacation." Applejack said, walking past him.
"You kidding?" Rainbow Dash asked. "This was by far the most exhilarating part of our vacation so far!"
The girls walked along the dirt road, following Spyro and Demyx as they walked back to the ship, hoping to put today behind them and enjoy the remainder of their vacation and unwind. Back at the Nobody stronghold, Xemnas was walking into the Hall of Remembrance to head back to his study, looking over and finding the memorial for Xaldin was destroyed and in ruins, the glowing blue gem turning red as it indicated Xaldin was defeated.
"It seems Xaldin has failed in his mission." Xemnas said, walking past the other memorials. "It seems the prince was after the same thing."
"Or he was at the right place at the right time." Ansem said, walking behind him. "Larxene contacted me, saying that the Prince has made off with the supply of Beskar and destroyed the mine. It'll take weeks to rebuild it."
"Even longer now that the Empire has discovered it." Xemnas pointed out.
"Without the Beskar, the members of the Organization are vulnerable." Ansem said, looking out. "It took a lot of power to bring Xaldin back, but his defeat has left us one member short. And now that the prince has the Beskar, he'll surely find a way to make armor out of it."
"This revelation is troubling, but not yet an issue to address." Xemnas said. "It'll take him time to figure out how to make the armor, giving us time to eliminate him and his friends on Equestria."
"What's our next move?" Ansem asked, turning to his ally.
"We wait." Xemnas replied. "We have three enemies out there. The Keyblade Bearers, Maleficent and her misguided minions, and May and her master. We shall wait for the time being and let them fight each other, weaken one another and then we will strike."
Back in the Hawaiian Paradise, night had come and everyone was heading to bed, the fillies finishing up their homework for the night and heading off to bed for some early morning fun. Demyx was fast asleep in the room he was sharing with Spyro, but Spyro was wide awake, sneaking out of the room and heading down to the lab where he scanned the ingot of Beskar, turning on the holo-table as AIVA came to life, holographic projecting of designs and weapons appearing.
"Good evening sir." AIVA said. "You're up late. Is something wrong?"
"Not exactly AIVA." Spyro replied. "You remember the Beskar we got from Concordia, the crates in the cargo bay right now?"
"Affirmative sir." AIVA replied. "And I am detecting what appeared to be an old Mandalorian forge in the cargo bay as well."
"Your scanners are correct there." Spyro said, swiping the holograms to the right as he reached an empty space, making a new file. "I believe it's time for a new project that I've been dying to do for a while."
"And what will the project name be sir?" AIVA asked.
He looked to the hologram, then to the screen where it showed an ingot of Beskar steel on it, smiling to himself.
"Project: Mandalorian." Spyro said, deactivating the table and the screen.
