Cousins and Brothers and a Dog? YOU'RE MY GRANNY?

"What do you think Principal Nezu called us all here for on such short notice?" asked Toru.

She, along with the rest of Class 1-A had been called to UA for an important meeting. One that needed all of the students to be there in person rather than meeting with them individually. Fortunately, there was enough staff at the time that they had managed to quickly round up the students who were now gathered in the school auditorium.

"I don't know. All I know is that my folks got an email saying for them to bring us to the school and that it was really important." said Denki.

"Same here." Sero added.

As she twirled one of her earphone jacks around her finger, Jiro said, "Seems kind of suspicious to me, dudes. They wouldn't just call us all here without a clear reason.".

"Has anyone seen Deku-Kun anywhere?" asked Ochako, trying to spot the greenette.

"Ribbit, he does seem strangely absent now that I think about it." Tsuyu replied.

"I regret that I have yet to spot him either." Iida said with his usual arm chopping.

That is, until Toru grabbed his wrist, as she has finally had enough of him constantly doing that every time he goes on about rules and stuff. It's like he's trying to turn the world into the military in the year 1863, or something!

"Geez! Knock that off before you hit someone!" she exclaimed, scolding Iida who, wisely, kept his mouth shut for once.

"I agree with Toru, Iida." Momo spoke up. "I mean no disrespect when I say this, but I always wished that you wouldn't be so strict and uptight about every little thing. I mean, you had the nerve to critcize my ability to clean the common room when it was YOUR DAY to clean it!"

Tenya couldn't stop himself from shrinking in on himself as the vice rep of their class raised a valid point.

'I think Somei Academy made me too serious.' he thought to himself.

Katsuki just scoffed, not caring about what these 'extras' had to say. He didn't even really care where Izuku was at that moment. In his mind as long as that 'useless Deku' was far away from him he's happy. Or at least less angry than he usually is. But all of the chatter was silenced when Principal Nezu, Toshinori, and the rest of the UA Teachers walked up onto the stage.

"Welcome and thank you for coming, students. I apologize for calling you all here on such short notice, but something of grave importance has come up. Earlier this evening, we received a report that the League of Villains is once again on the move." Nezu said.

This brought a round of gasps and hushed whispers from the students. Class 1-A's students, in particular, have quite the history with this group and knew that if they were on the move again, then nothing good could possibly come from it.

"Silence, please, silence!" Nezu said, getting the students to quiet down. "I understand that this is indeed a shock to you all, and it is the main reason why we have called you all here. Until the situation is resolved, you and your families will be staying here at the UA Dormitories to keep you safe from the League while we deal with them."

"But Principal Nezu, sir, what about Midoribro?" asked Kirishima.

"Yeah, where is he? Shouldn't he be here, too?" Kaminari asked afterwards.

Toshinori cleared his throat as he replied, "Yes, that's the trouble, I'm afraid. You see, according to the report, Young Midoriya is the League's target."

"Dabi was seen attacking Midoriya's apartment alongside Twice and Toga, but after that we don't know anything else. We can only assume that Midoriya has escaped and is on the run from the League." Midnight added. "Therefore, we have called in several heroes for a search and rescue mission so that we can keep Midoriya out of the League's clutches."

That got the students thinking, but none more so than Izuku's classmates. The League was really after him?

They had a bad feeling about this.

***Meanwhile…***

"WHY DOES THE UNIVERSE HATE ME TONIGHT? WHAT DID I EVEN DO?" screamed Izuku.

He had been leading his apparent 'family' to the outskirts of the city through a shortcut that he knew when suddenly they had been attacked by an army of Nomu! BoBoBo, Chun-Li and the others had managed to fight them off, as these Nomus weren't as powerful as the one that fought All Might at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or the USJ for short, or even the Nomus that attacked Hosu during the Work Studies program. But one of these Nomu in particular had a very unusual quirk in its arsenal. It could release a potent gas from the pores on its upper body that turns whoever inhales even the slightest amount into a mindless zombie-like creature! And, unfortunately, several heroes who had arrived on the scene to back them up, such as Mirko, Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and even Hawks, had been caught off guard and ended up inhaling the gas!

Although they were nowhere close to the flesh-eating creatures of the dead that were often depicted in horror media, they still became wild, mindless, and crazy enough to attack anything! And because of this, Izuku and the others had been forced to split up and regroup on the outskirts.

And these Nomu, along with a few of the zombie heroes, had chosen HIM as their target!

"WHAT DID I DO IN A PAST LIFE THAT MADE THE UNIVERSE HATE ME SO MUCH?" cried Izuku.

"Hit the deck!" cried a voice.

One that Izuku didn't recognize. He looked ahead and saw a young man in a green jacket with a number 10 on it standing there. He had brown hair, green eyes, though a lighter shade than Izuku's own, and was light skinned. He raised one arm and turned the dial on a strange green gauntlet that was revealed as his jacket sleeve was rolled up.

"It's hero time!" he said as he slammed his hand down on a glowing hologram.

In a flash of green light, Izuku saw that the young man had changed into something else entirely. He became an orange and white bipedal tiger with one big black claw coming out of each wrist and no tail. He has the muscular build of a wrestler and has green eyes and black stripes on his shoulders, head, legs, and upper body as well as a white jaw, neck, chest, stomach, hands, and feet. An hourglass symbol that likely came from the gauntlet is located in the center of his chest.

"RATH!" the humanoid tiger roared before saying, "Fine! Rath was goin' for Humungousaur, but Rath's better anyway." he said, speaking in the third person.

He immediately ran towards the oncoming enemies and pushed Izuku towards an alley.

"Get goin'! Rath'll hold them off!" ordered Rath.

Although he was still confused, Izuku wasn't about to argue at a time like this and kept running. Meanwhile, Rath roared and got the attention of the Nomus along with Zombie Hawks and Zombie Kamui.

"Lemme tell ya somethin', Zombie Heroes and custom-made Nomus designed specifically to abduct Izuku Midoriya the Hero-In-Training! Rath is not Humungousaur, but Rath is gonna make you Humungou-sorry!"

With a roar of fury, Rath rushed into the fray and began to lay the smackdown on the Nomus! One tried to grab him, but Rath ducked and cut it in half down the middle with a claw before stabbing another through its exposed brain. Three more with stronger builds tried to dogpile Rath, but they were cut down quickly by a blue plasma blade.

"Now, who said you could start the party without me?" quipped a man with messy brown hair, blue eyes and wearing black and brown robes like a monk or a samurai.

"Not Rath's fault you were late, Anakin." Rath quipped back.

"Well, what do you say, Ben? You want to tag-team these zombies?" Anakin asked.

Rath grinned and punched his palm as he said, "Cousin, Rath thought you'd never ask!".

Taking a stance with his energy sword, Anakin said back, "Remember not to kill the pro heroes. They're under the influence of a quirk.".

"Whatever." said Rath.

Right before the two roared a battle cry and rushed into the fray once again.

Izuku was breathing hard as he turned a corner and stopped running. As he caught his breath, he couldn't stop himself from feeling like that guy back there might be part of this strange phenomenon he's been living where new family members he's never even heard of before have been showing up and helping him out of dangerous situations. I mean, it isn't a stretch. First it was BoBoBo saving him from the League of Villains, then Alice, Chun-Li and the others who fought off Anubias and his Iron Dragonoid, the Dai Lee, and those Storm Troopers. He just knows that there's even more that he's going to have to deal with tonight.

For the second time tonight, he tried to activate One For All. He could feel the power trying to surge forth like it usually does, but for some reason it couldn't. It felt like it was being blocked somehow. Kind of like a river being held back by a dam if Izuku had to use some form of visual reference.

"What am I going to do? How can I help everyone if I can't even access One For All?" Izuku asked himself.

He growled in annoyance and barely restrained fury as he clenched his crooked fist.

"I hate feeling like this! It's like I'm back to being quirkless and can't do anything to help anyone anymore!" he growled.

He still remembers the days of his quirklessness vividly. The taunts, the jeers, the death threats, and even the time somebody in his middle school years left a vase of spider lilies on his desk. An obvious sign that somebody in the class wanted him to die. Not to mention all of the times that he's been suicide baited. Especially that one time that Kacchan… or rather, Katsuki Bakugo, as he stopped being Izuku's childhood friend years ago and was now undeserving of that affectionate childhood nickname, had told him to take a swan dive off a roof and hope for a quirk in the next life. (Minor A/N: Just a quick disclaimer, but in this story, Katsuki doesn't know about One For All as Izuku never hinted at it to him. And his attitude hasn't changed much from how he was at the beginning of Season 1. Meaning that Izuku and Katsuki never had their fight where they finally… sort of… kinda… made amends.)

It made his blood boil just thinking about it, which has never truly happened before. But he had no time to dwell on these repressed emotions as he heard a bunch of footsteps coming towards him. He turned around just in time to see a small army of men wearing what appeared to be Marine uniforms coming at him with guns and swords! The biggest of them, who appeared to be over six feet tall, was fat, but he had beefy, muscular arms and legs. He was obviously the leader.

"There he is! Don't let him get away, the higher-ups want him alive!" he ordered.

Gritting his teeth, Izuku looked around and found a long, blunt pipe. One that could easily be used as an improvised bo-staff. So, he picked it up and roared in fury as he charged into the fray. He had a lot of pent-up aggression to vent, and these idiots were the perfect way to do so! And so, he used his improvised weapon well as he blocked, deflected, and bashed his way through these Marines! Their numbers were great, but clearly their fighting abilities left much to be desired as they tried to overwhelm him with sheer numbers. This might have worked on a civilian or a weaker hero in training, but not on Izuku who has had enough of being everyone's whipping boy.

The larger lead Marine tried to attack Izuku from behind, but the green haired hero simply spun around and knocked him out with, arguably, the strongest defensive and offensive attack ever.

A great, big, backhand!

The lumbering idiot of a marine took the hit square to the face, losing several teeth in the process, and fell to the ground completely out cold. Izuku wasn't the least bit winded from fighting them. Honestly, fighting for his life against villains like Shigaraki, Muscular, and the like has pretty much made it so that small fry like these guys are nothing but paper tigers in front of a storm by comparison.

"Hmph! They should have known better than to try and fight me when I'm in a bad mood." said Izuku.

Unfortunately, he heard the roar of men on the rampage and saw an even greater number of Marines charging at him, swords and guns at the ready! Izuku grit his teeth in annoyance.

"Man, these guys just don't let up." he said.

He got ready to fight again, but this time the marines were stopped by a barrage of yellow energy blasts exploding as they crashed into several of them, vaporizing those who were hit on the spot!

As they skidded to a stop one of the marines said, "What? What the hell was that?!".

Right before he, too, was vaporized. This time by a condensed beam of electricity that tore through the remaining marine forces. There were still many of them left, but they were both surprised and understandably pissed off that their comrades had been killed like they were.

"Leave him alone, ya government washouts!" exclaimed a voice.

Emerging from the smoke were three girls that Izuku didn't recognize. But knowing how things were going down tonight, he figured that, like those two young men, these three girls were also family members who he's never heard about.

The first new girl was relatively short(being only an inch or two taller than Izuku) with a slender build and fair complexion. She wears a low-cut magenta tube top revealing her belly, low-set purple harem pants, and a pair of pointy dark grey shoes. Growing from her head was a mane of long, wild, spiky black hair. And her eyes are narrow yet big, with large black pupils, as well as thin eyebrows.

The other girl appeared to be around eight or nine years old. She has white-lavender hair in ponytails and blue eyes and is very cute. Her attire consists of a white capelet with a fur collar, a pink blouse, a white frilly skirt, and pink doll shoes. Her hair is tied into pigtails, each adorned with three dark blue beads. She also has four, curved white horns on her head. Two on each side with one horn pointing up and the other pointing down and growing from the base of her spine is a very thin tail with a little puffball at the end.

Lastly was a young woman who looked to be about eighteen years old. She had fair skin, brown eyes, and straight, neck-length orange hair. She was wearing a white v-neck shirt with short sleeves, a dark blue skirt, and simple shoes. She was holding what appeared to be a set of pipes that she was arranging into different formations as weapons.

One of the surviving Marine soldiers panicked and yelled, "Crap! It's Cat Burglar Nami! And if she's here, then the rest of the Straw Hat Crew aren't far behind!".

"Who cares about that? We still outnumber them, so let's get them!" exclaimed another, rather foolish, Marine.

The girl with wild black hair gave a cocky smirk and raised a hand as she said, "Oh, you think your hot stuff, do ya? Well, I'm about to show you what a Saiyan can really do!".

"You won't get our cousin!" the youngest of the three said with conviction in her almost monotone voice.

Izuku briefly froze as he heard those words.

'Cousin? Are these girls really my cousins?' Izuku pondered to himself.

The orange haired girl connected her pipes into a bo-staff and began twirling it around as the Marines got closer and closer.

"Caulifla! Kanna! Let's take these guys down! We have to hold them off until Ben and Anakin get here with the others!" she said.

Caulifla and Kanna nodded and said, "Got it, Nami!".

As Caulifla gathered red colored energy in her palms she turned to Izuku and flashed him a genuine smile. Not at all like the cocky and overconfident smirk she usually has on her face.

"I wish we could have met under better circumstances, Cuz, but that's not the case, unfortunately." Caulifla lamented before saying, "Look, we can take care of these posers. You just focus on getting outside the city where we'll all regroup. If I'm right, Granny should be sending her dog to find you. Just trust me, you'll know him when you see him."

She could tell that Izuku didn't want to leave them to fight an army by themselves, but Kanna and Nami also flashed smiles at him and the message was clear.

It's okay. We can take care of ourselves. That's what those smiles meant.

Even though he didn't like leaving them on their own, Izuku just nodded and started running down an alley that he knew would lead to the outskirts of the city. He and Katsuki had found it when they were kids and decided to memorize where it was in case of an emergency. It was the last thing the two of them ever agreed on before the red-eyed blonde turned into his biggest tormentor.

"Let's obliterate every last trace of these corrupt government dogs from this planet! CRUSH CANNON!" cried Caulifla as she fired twin red energy waves at the Marines, incinerating most of them in an instant.

"So much for not drawing attention to ourselves." grumbled Nami.

"Cauli's a battle maniac." Kanna commented.

But regardless, they also charged in with a war cry as the battle for their cousin raged on! Heck, forget calling it a battle, because it's practically an all-out war!

Meanwhile, a shadow was walking backwards through the same alley Izuku went down, whimpering as the darkness of the night made it even creepier than usual.

"Oooohhhh…! Things I do for love." the figure said in a voice that showed that it's a male.

Izuku was also feeling a bit overwhelmed and afraid as he walked backwards through the shadows. Ever since the League of Villains attacked the training camp, Izuku has had some minor paranoia when walking alone in the dark, and now that he's being hunted for some unknown reason that paranoia and fear has been cranked up to eleven. He absolutely hated feeling this way. It was how he felt for all of those years that he was quirkless. The fear of everyone and everything around him, his hair constantly standing on end just waiting for Bakugo and his old gang to pounce and torment him for the umpteenth time in his life, and even the fear that he may, once again, be used as a practice dummy for his old classmates' quirks!

So focused was he on these feelings as he walked in reverse that he didn't realize that he was getting closer and closer to the shadow.

The two of them got closer and closer until… they bumped into each other and screamed at the top of their lungs as they turned to face each other. But once they saw who, and in Izuku's case, what, they had been scared by the two of them just chuckled as relief flooded their systems.

"Oh, thank Kami, it's a dog. Just a… pink… beagle?" Izuku said, confused by the dog's odd color.

Indeed, it was a beagle with pink fur, brown spots and ears, a black nose, and brown eyes. The beagle seemed to walk upright on its hind legs, and it seemed to have a docked tail that appeared to have been torn in half at some point. Though he was confused by the appearance of this animal, it wasn't the strangest thing Izuku has seen all night. Or in his life for that matter. After all, Nezu is an animal with an intelligence quirk that makes him almost human in terms of sentience and most mannerisms. So, if a chimera that acts human can exist, why not a bipedal pink beagle?

"Hey there, little guy. Are you lost?" Izuku asked softly as he kneeled down.

He held out his hand, the dog seeming to gasp and take a step back upon seeing how scarred and mangled it was, crooked fingers and all.

Honestly, Recovery Girl should have taken a different approach to the lad's medical care, but I digress.

The dog slowly inched closer and sniffed Izuku's hand and smiled at the boy's scent. He put his chin on Izuku's palm as the boy slowly began to scratch his chin, the pink beagle releasing a pleased hum at the feeling. Izuku smiled as a feeling of peace and calm flooded his system. He sat down and pulled the dog onto his lap and began to pet him, much to the dog's pleasure.

The green-haired boy had always wanted a dog while he was growing up but could never get one as they don't allow pets at his apartment.

"Courage? Courage, have you found him?" called a voice that sounded like it belonged to an elderly woman.

The dog, now known as Courage, sat up in Izuku's lap, took him by the hand and began leading him to the end of the alley. After a few more minutes of walking, they met the person who the voice belonged to. It was indeed an elderly woman. She appeared to be in her early to mid-sixties with shortish curly white hair, a pair of glasses, wearing a yellow dress with a white apron and sturdy black boots. And if Izuku is guessing right from when he heard her voice, she must be of Scottish ancestry.

She smiled as she approached Izuku and Courage and said, "Oh my, Izuku! So good to see you!".

Taken aback, Izuku asked, "Uh, do I know you?".

"Ah, not personally. We've only just met tonight. But a grandmother always knows her grandchildren." the woman said. "My name is Muriel. But you can just call me Granny."

Now, this struck Izuku as odd. He knew that he had grandparents on his mother's side, but he had never met them. In fact, they made it abundantly clear that they wanted nothing to do with him when they found out that he was quirkless. Seeing the apprehension in his eyes, Muriel was quick to give him a reassuring smile.

"I know that Inko's parents didn't want anything to do with you, but I'm actually your grandmother on Chun-Li's side of the family. She's my darling daughter and I'm quite proud of all she's accomplished. And she's gone and married a wonderful man, even though he can be a bit of a goofball." Muriel said.

The doubt and apprehension was quick to leave Izuku upon hearing this. Now it made sense how this lady is his grandmother. And yet, at the same time, it doesn't. He still doesn't know how all of these people claiming to be his family are at all related to him, but he figured that he'll find out eventually.

Muriel took Izuku by the hand and said, "Come along now, dearie. We need to get moving before those nasty Nomu catch up with us. Or something worse.".

As she gently pulled Izuku along, Courage looked at the audience and said, "Something bad is about to happen, or my name's Stinky Lou-Lou. And thank goodness it's not.".

"I'm just so glad that we're finally together, Izuku. I just wish my late husband, Eustace, was here to meet you. I'm sure he would have had nothing but good things to say to you.

Courage just narrowed his eyes and quietly growled at the mention of the deceased farmer as he remembered how much that grumpy old man tormented him day after day.

But he just followed after his beloved Scottish mistress and her newly found grandson who he found gave some of the best head pats and chin scratches. They walked down the alley in a comfortable silence for about five minutes, which gave the green-haired boy a chance to catch his breath after everything he's been through. When they got to the end of the alley, though, they were met by a man who didn't really look totally human.

He was very tall, maybe about "6'7, and had a very muscular build that was clearly built for strength. He was bald with a crown of long, jagged horns growing out of his head, had yellow skin with black tattoos that looked dark brown depending on the lighting, sulphuric yellow eyes, and long nails that looked more like claws. He wore black robes with silver armor on his upper body and a large shoulder pad on his left shoulder, and on his belt was a long cylinder that looked kind of like the midsection of a bo-staff. But Izuku easily recognized it as being a similar weapon that that man from before, Anakin, if Izuku heard correctly, used against the Nomu while giving Izuku time to escape.

The man smiled as he walked up to Muriel and put a hand on her shoulder.

"It is good to see you safe and sound, grandmother." he said in a deep voice, fitting of a man of his stature.

"Oh, you didn't need to worry so much, Savage. After all, we have Courage with us, and he'd never let anything bad happen to any of us." Muriel replied.

To which Savage knelt down and said, "Good boy, Courage. You truly are a very brave dog, even in the face of your worst fears.".

Courage smiled at the praise and leaned into Savage's palm as the spike-headed man gave him head pats. Izuku watched the interaction with caution and interest. This man was an absolute behemoth compared to most, even those who have Mutation Quirks, and yet he is more of a gentle giant than a ferocious beast. In spite of his intimidating appearance, he gave off a calming aura.

Savage stood up and said to Izuku, "It's good to meet you at long last. My name is Savage, and I have been waiting a long time to finally meet you in person, little brother.".

Once more, Izuku was shocked. But his shock was less so than it had been when this whole crazy night began. Still, he hadn't expected someone like Savage to claim to be his brother.

But being the polite young man that he was, Izuku bowed and said, "It's nice to meet you, Savage, sir.".

Savage just laughed and put a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"No need to call me 'sir', squirt. We're family, after all." chuckled Savage.

"Yeah, I've been getting that from a lot of different people tonight. It's still hard enough to believe that you guys are my family. Especially since I've never heard of any of you until literally tonight." Izuku replied.

Savage and Muriel stayed silent at that. He made a good point. But before they could make a counter argument and reassure him, they were forced to duck as blaster fire flew over their heads! Savage growled and narrowed his eyes as they all looked and saw another group of Storm Troopers rushing towards them. But this group was much larger than the one that Bo-Katan and Sabine had killed.

"There they are! Target is locked!" shouted one Trooper.

"Take him alive! Kill the others!" ordered another.

Courage screamed and hid behind Izuku while Muriel took a step back. She was a skilled fighter when she was young, but when she retired she had allowed herself to grow rusty and out of shape. She was no longer the martial arts master that she used to be and even if she did fight these bucket heads, she wouldn't be able to fight for longer than a few minutes before tiring out and leaving herself vulnerable to attack. Fortunately for her, she wasn't alone tonight.

Savage was quick to draw his weapon, igniting dual red blades from either side as Muriel drew her own weapon. He gave it a quick spin and got ready to fight.

"Grandmother, Izuku, take Courage and run! I can handle these guys!" exclaimed Savage.

"But Savage!" cried Muriel.

But Savage just rushed in and started cutting down Storm Troopers as they started firing on him. Unfortunately for the soldiers, they had aim so bad that they couldn't hit the broad side of a dune on Tatooine.

Savage exclaimed, "I'm not asking! Just go, I'll meet you at the cruiser!".

Seeing that they had no choice, the three immediately turned around and started to run. The sounds of plasma blasts being deflected by plasma blades, cutting and the screams of the dying pierced Izuku's ears as he forced himself to ignore it and keep running. It wasn't in his nature to run away when someone needed help. After all, All Might had told him that self sacrifice is one of the core aspects of what it means to be a hero. It felt like he was going against everything he stood for by running away.

But as much as he didn't want to run, he also rationalized that he was unable to provide sufficient support in his current state as he couldn't use One For All for some reason, and he was exhausted from the constant running and fighting that was going on.

'CURSE YOU, ERASERHEAD, AND YOUR LOGIC!' he mentally cursed.

He was broken from his musings, however, when the ground in front of him began to crumble away into dust. He only had enough time to push Muriel to the other side while he and Courage jumped back. Izuku silently cursed as there was now a deep trench in the ground that was too wide to jump over without One For All. Courage whimpered as he saw Muriel on the other side.

"Izuku! Courage! Are you both alright?" she asked.

"Yeah, we're okay, but I don't think we have time to climb down and to the other side, and it's too wide for us to jump over." Izuku replied. "Keep going, Muriel, we'll catch up. I know another way around."

"Okay, but you boys be careful and look after each other." Muriel relented.

With that, Muriel kept on running. Izuku narrowed his eyes and looked in the direction the trench came from. There's only one person he knows who can make a trench as quickly as this without some form of earth manipulation quirk. And that is…

"Tomura Shigaraki. I thought our battle ended when your master was put in prison."

Walking out of the shadows was none other than the leader of the Leaue of Villains; Tomura Shigaraki. The red-eyed, pale-skinned, greasy haired villain with many severed hands as a costume gave an unsettling glare and grin as he focused on Izuku. Courage yelped and once more hid behind the green-haired boy. His instincts were telling him that this human was not a good one, and his instincts have never steered him wrong before. No matter how ignorant to the danger Muriel had been at the time.

"I'm afraid that's where you're wrong, Deku. My master may presently be behind bars, but the League of Villains has never given up on its quest to bring down hero society and bring about a glorious new age of darkness. We've merely been biding our time and grinding our levels so we could complete this quest. And now that we have, I'm here for a rematch." Shigaraki said.

Seeing no other way out of this, Izuku resigned himself and accepted the challenge.

"Alright, fine. Queensburry rules? Bit of Venusian Karate?" Izuku asked with a cheeky grin as he slipped into a stance.

"Keep quipping, hero. Maybe you'll find a good joke on the ground next to your teeth." snarled Shigaraki as he unsheathed a katana.

Good thing he was wearing gloves that only left two of his fingers exposed so he wouldn't decay anything by accident. But this new development didn't deter the young green hero. He kept his smirk up, reached into his shirt, and pulled out an ancestral weapon dating back some twenty generations of Midoriyas!

One that even Katsuki Bakugo's mother, Mitsuki, feared whenever Inko used it back in their teen years and still fears to this day!

And it was…

An ornate silver spoon!

"En garde!" quipped Izuku.

With a roar, Shigaraki rushed Izuku in hopes of ending the fight quickly. His master wanted this hero trainee back alive, but he said nothing about the boy having all of his limbs attached.

Blade and spoon clashed as Izuku's ancestral weapon held up remarkably well against tempered Japanese steel. Izuku backflipped over a slab of concrete to avoid a stab and took a fencing stance as Shigaraki tried to hack and slash him with the finesse of a drunk monkey. He blocked and parried remarkably well, considering this was the first real sword fight Izuku has ever been in. Shigaraki managed to kick Izuku in the gut and send him stumbling back, but the hero trainee recovered just in time to block an overhead slash. And he couldn't resist making another quip.

"Ah, you and your little group of misfits must have some fun out here. Are you based in a little shop? I like little shops."

The battle raged on. Shigaraki tried an overhead slash followed by an underhand strike, but Izuku blocked the first strike and deflected the second one so well that he sent Shigaraki's weapon flying out of his hand and into the trench that he had created.

"Yay!" cheered Courage.

Shigaraki growled as Izuku put away the Midoriya Ancestral Spoon. The sinister aura he was giving off was enough to break Courage out of his cheerful mood and make him afraid again.

"You cheater…!" snarled Shigaraki.

The two were locked in a stalemate, both glaring into each other's souls. Shigaraki may no longer have his sword, but he's still a dangerous foe. Courage whimpered at the exchange between hero and villain as he clung to Izuku's leg. He didn't like this guy and knows that he's a threat to both himself and Izuku. But the three soon felt a presence nearby and turned their heads to see a lanky figure with a giant green face with a pink, bulbous nose, a bulging yellow and black eye, and a beady black eye that looked like it would fall out of its socket any moment. It's mouth was wide open with a large, purple tongue sticking out.

Izuku, Courage, and Shigaraki stared for a moment before the hero and villain glanced at one another out of the corner of their eyes.

"Truce?" asked Izuku.

"Until we get away from that monstrosity." agreed Shigaraki.

The three then screamed at the top of their lungs and ran away with the monster following close behind!

(Begin "Death Battle: Forever Terror Night")

"Dog! Go get him!" Shigaraki ordered as they ran for their lives.

"ME?!" Courage asked as he started stuttering pure gibberish.

Izuku looked back to see the monster chasing them on all fours. It was moving surprisingly fast on those spindly limbs and making ghastly groans as it chased them.

"What do I do? What do I do?" whimpered Courage.

The beagle quickly stuck out his leg and tripped Shigaraki who fell on his face. He quickly sat up and saw the monster raising a ridiculously huge wooden mallet over its head, and he bolted just in time to avoid getting squished like a bug! Thinking fast, Izuku and Courage ran into an abandoned mansion where they stopped to catch their breath. But as they looked up, Shigaraki was standing there in the foyer with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face! Still wearing his special gloves, the blue-haired young man held out his left hand and stuck up his thumb. Courage got serious and did the same with the opposite paw.

They locked up, glared into each other's eyes… and proceeded to have the most cartoonish thumb wrestling match that Izuku has ever witnessed!

'What even is happening right now?!" Izuku pondered incredulously.

Especially since both Courage and Shigaraki's thumbs were sporting buff human arms and wearing boxing gloves making this more of a miniature boxing match than a thumb wrestle!

"Come on, come on…" grunted Courage before he felt something tap him on the shoulder. "Huh?"

Little did he know, but that had been Shigaraki sneaking his other hand to poke the dog on the shoulder, which distracted him long enough for the villain to land the finishing blow and end the thumb wrestle. Shigaraki cackled as his thumb threw up its fists in celebration. But this wouldn't last long as the monster pried its mallet out of the ground and continued chasing them! But the three paid him no mind as Courage pulled out a laser blaster and started shooting Shigaraki! The League of Villains' leader managed to dodge several blasts, but he mistimed one of them and ended up taking a hit square to the face. He stood there in shock for a moment before his entire head destintigrated into ash.

This made Izuku and Courage gasp in horror. But lucky for them, they wouldn't have to bear the thought of accidental murder on their consciences because their opponent reached into his shirt and pulled his head out like nothing happened. He laughed off the incident while Courage took aim and shot another laser blast.

Thinking fast, Shigaraki grabbed a nearby mirror and used it to deflect the hit, but to his and Izuku's shock and slight disgust, Courage grabbed both sides of his head and literally tore himself in two in order to avoid the shot. He put himself back together and didn't seem hurt, at least. But as they heard a scream of pain, they looked back to see that the monster had been shot in the knee and was now running after them faster than before, looking furious as ever and ready to attack!

Dropping the mirror and running away, Shigaraki cried out, "Split up!".

And so, Izuku, Shigaraki, and Courage each went through a different door with the monster still chasing them. That's when things got interesting.

They started running from one door to another as if it were a scene from Scooby-Doo. One time, Izuku had been carrying an armful of fruit, then Shigaraki was running away from the monster while riding a unicycle, and Courage bounced through another door on a pogo stick. Courage ran up to one door and opened it, revealing the abominable snowman who roared before Courage slammed the door shut.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!" he screamed.

He opened another door to reveal Heisei Era Godzilla roaring over Tokyo, and once again slammed it shut.

"OOOOOOOHHHHH!" Courage screamed once again.

The third time he opened the door to some talkshow host saying, "But there's one more thing…", before once again slamming the door shut.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Courage screamed a third time.

He quickly met up with Izuku who opened another door to reveal…

Zombified Mt. Lady and Miruko standing there in alluring poses, their hero costumes, sans Mt. Lady's mask, replaced by beautiful satin dresses, and making bedroom eyes at Izuku. Miruko's was white while Mt. Lady's was purple.

"Hello there, big boy.~" purred Miruko while Mt. Lady gave Izuku a flirty wink.

Izuku and Courage stood there in shocked silence for a moment… until Courage freaked out and let out an "OOOOOHHHH!" right before he pulled an old-timey computer out from seemingly nowhere. While Courage rapidly typed away, Izuku was grabbed by the two heroines and pulled towards them.

"Wait, wait, ladies, please! WAIT!" he cried as he was pulled to the center of the room.

Just in time for Courage to hit search.

"How to defeat a horde of zombified heroes and a villain wearing severed human hands as a costume, eh? You twit." said the computer.

Courage gasped as Izuku was held above Mt. Lady and Miruko's heads while Shigaraki and the monster ran into the room… just in time to see them flawlessly perform the legendary ZABRINSKI TRIANGLE! It was so bright, two watchers of the multiverse were blinded as they viewed the universe from a still growing crystal!

"Gah, my eyes!" gasped DJ Rodrizuez.

"AHH, IT BURNS!" screamed Reximus.

The light got brighter and brighter as the screen cracked before it briefly went to radio static. When the image came back, it showed Izuku looking dazed and covered in soot as Miruko and Mt. Lady were rendered unconscious from the legendary dance. Fortunately, this seemed to cure them of the zombification and they were now back to normal. Knowing that his green-haired friend wouldn't last much longer through this, Courage reached into his fur and pulled out something he never thought he'd have to use. The very object where his own quirk originated.

The Darkmatter Meteor!

Shigaraki rushed out of the mansion and rushed to hijack a nearby van, but something above him caught his attention. A giant Gameboy Advanced! Courage laughed with a smirk as his plan was working.

"All teenagers love their games, don't they?" asked Computer.

"Uh-huh! Uh-huh!" grunted Courage.

He brought down the oversized game device onto Shigaraki, causing the van to explode. But in the process, an artifact that appeared to be a red and silver treasure chest with a demonic skull ornament on the front was sent flying and hit Courage square in the face, knocking him down and making him lose the Darkmatter Meteor.

"Courage, are you okay?" asked Izuku as he checked on the canine.

Courage groaned as he sat up, but neither had time to dwell on any injuries as they saw Shigaraki standing in the flames with his eyes glowing a very sinister red and the light of the fire casting an ominous shadow of the villain.

"This could be bad, or my name is DJ Rodriguez!" Courage quipped before saying to the audience, "And it's not."(Minor A/N: Shoutout to my friend, DJ Rodriguez! Go read and review his stories!)

That's when Shigaraki crossed his arms and began to utilize a quirk given to him by his master, All For One, before the Battle of Kamino. It was a Gigantification quirk, but much stronger than the one used by Mt. Lady, as rather than growing to the size of a small mountain, Shigaraki continued to grow until he was the size of a small planet! He reared back his fist…

"If I'm going out… You're going WITH ME!" he exclaimed in an echoing voice.

…And he threw a giant punch that caught fire as it entered Earth's atmosphere! Izuku was panicking as he saw this, knowing that if it hit then the whole planet would be destroyed! But before he could put that magnificent brain of his to work, Courage took a deep breath and unleashed a scream that was so loud the sound waves were visible to the naked eye! It was so strong, it stopped Shigaraki's fist in its place and caused cracks to form along the villain's body. Shigaraki's gigantified body shattered like glass as the man himself fell to the earth like a meteor and struck Izuku and Courage with an impact that caused a glorious explosion.

When the smoke died down, the trio were barely standing. Shigaraki weakly slapped Izuku who weakly slapped him back… but their eyes went wide as the three of them quickly remembered… they are not alone.

"Ooga-booga-booga!" roared the monster.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Izuku, Shigaraki, and Courage screamed as they hugged each other from fear.

Shigaraki quickly put the treasure chest from earlier in front of them as the three of them ducked behind it. The top burst open as several clawed hands made out of demonic energy emerged from the chest and lunged at the monster. One hand grabbed the monster's face and pulled back to reveal that it was really Muriel's deceased husband….

EUSTACE!

"Stupid dog and kids! You made me look bad!" snarled Eustace before he saw the hands coming at him. "What's hah?"

He tried to get away, but slipped on the Darkmatter Meteor and fell to the ground. He groaned and grunted in anger and annoyance as he was pulled towards the chest while one hand removed his hat.

"Hey! Cut it out!" Eustace demanded.

Right before his head was cut into sections that were still connected by strips of flesh, even though it's technically not flesh, causing him to scream in pain and outrage. He continued to scream even as he was sucked into the chest which snapped shut and locked once he was inside.

The trio looked out from behind the Chest of Demons once it closed, looked at each other… and just laughed at the fact that they had been running scared from a grumpy old man in a costume. But as the adrenaline from the chase wore off, they sighed with relief and fell to the ground totally exhausted.

"Uwaaaooohhh, Muriel, I hate that STUPID DOOOOOooooog…!" Eustace cried from within the chest before all went silent.

(End Song)

Izuku managed to sit up for a moment and seemed to look right at the audience.

"This is why me and scary things do not mix. It's hazardous to my health." he said.

Right before falling back and losing consciousness.

***To Be Continued…***

Ending A/N: And there you have it, folks! That ends another chapter of Midoriya's New Family! To make up for the short chapter you all got last time, this time, I wrote an exceptionally long chapter. Don't expect them all to be this long in the future, though, because with my schedule it's incredibly time consuming. But I'll at least make sure that all future chapters are over 2,500 words long, not including Author's Notes, of course. Also, I'm sure many of you will recognize the Death Battle scenes used in this chapter. I felt that such scenes would be a perfect way to both show that Izuku isn't overly reliant on his quirk in this story, and at the same time showcase Courage's own unique abilities. And get rid of Eustace for good while I'm at it. But that's all I've got for now. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next update, my hatchlings!
