Chapter 74: Winter Wrap Up

The next day, the entire town was buzzing with excitement as Winter Wrap up had finally come, everyone in the Apple family was up and ready to go while Spyro had just woken up, heading down stairs and into town after they had breakfast, rushing into town as everyone was excited for the day they got to clean up winter, though he didn't fully get the concept, he was more than happy to help out however he could. As he was approaching the town square, he notice Twilight was running towards the town hall, looking excited while Spike was still trying to sleep, so he ran after her to try and talk to her, but she was quick after having a few months of training, so all he could do was just run behind her as they reached the center of town, finding the whole town was there. When he got closer, he found that some ponies were wearing some colored vests, some were wearing blue vests, some wore green, while the rest wore what appeared to be tan, their meaning he somewhat got from what Applejack told him, but wanted to hear what Mayor Mare had to say.

"Spyro, sorry for not noticing you." Twilight said, the two slowing down. "I wanted to get to the gathering before it started."

"No problem Twiley." Spyro replied. "But why are you so excited?"

"Because this is my first Winter Wrap-up since moving to Ponyville." Twilight replied. "When I lived in Canterlot, we cleaned up winter using magic, but Ponyville was founded by Earth Ponies, so they clean it up without magic, which is what I'm going to do."

"You sure that's a good idea?" Spyro asked. "You've never done anything without magic before."

"Oh don't worry, I can handle this." Twilight replied. the two then saw the townsfolk gathered in front of the town hall and slowed down to a trot, looking at all the ponies and the vests. "Oh, those are the vests Rarity designed. Blue for the weather team, green for the plant team, and tan for the animal team."

"AJ's a part of the plant team." Spyro said. "She and Big Mac were busy collecting plant seeds for today."

"I wonder which team vest I'll be wearing?" Twilight asked. "Each one has an important role."

"I'll take blue." Spike said, finally awake enough to talk. "It's the same color as my blankie. Which I also hear calling my name. Spike, Spike, come to bed. Besides, it's way too early."

The two ponies rolled their eyes, ignoring Spikes complaining as they approached the town square where everyone has gathered and where Mayor Mare was waiting for everyone.

"Mares and Gentlecolts." Mayor mare said. "I would like to thank everyone of you for coming bright and early. We need everyponies help to wrap up winter and bring in Spring." Everyone in the crowd cheered as she said it, everyone excited for Spring to come. "Now, all of you have your vests and everyone has been assigned to your teams, so let's all do better than last year and have the quickest winter wrap-up ever!"

The crowd all cheered again for what the mayor said, Twilight jumping in pure excitement.

"Oh, this is so exciting!" She exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement.

"Alright everypony, find your team leaders." Mayor Mare said. "And let's get galloping!"

Everyone then left and went to their assigned team leaders, leaving Twilight be very indecisive about which team she wanted to be a part of, looking to the three teams frantically.

"Oh gosh, where should I go?" She asked. "I'm not sure where I'd fit in. What exactly does everypony do?"

As she ask the question, the area around them went dark as sections of the clouds opened up, creating a spotlight through the openings as music began to play in the background.

[Rainbow Dash]

Three months of winter coolness,

and all the things warm and green,

but it also time to say goodbye,

it's winter we must clean!

How do I help? I'm new you see,

what does everypony do?

How do I fit in without magic?

I haven't got a clue!

[Twilight Sparkle and Spyro]

'Cause tomorrow spring is here!

As the song ended, everyone left to begin working on cleaning up the winter snow, leaving the two ponies and the baby dragon alone in the middle of the road, looking around at the different teams.

"Oh, which team do we belong to Spyro?" Twilight asked. "Everypony else has a team. Where should I go? What should I do?"

"I don't know." He replied. "Maybe if we check out the other teams, we can find something you might like."

Right as he said it, Rainbow Dash zoomed by, blowing snow onto them as she was addressing her team of Pegasi on what to do, approaching her as her team took off while she landed on the ground.

"Rainbow Dash." Twilight said.

"Oh, hey Twilight, Spyro." Rainbow Dash said. "What's up?"

"We're just having a look at some of the teams to see which one we belong in." Spyro replied. "So, what are you doing?"

"I sent one of my flight crews to go and retrieve the birds that flew south for the winter." Rainbow Dash replied.

"Oh, can I help?" Twilight asked. "Maybe I can help clear out the clouds."

Without a word, the cyan mare the a pony hybrid looked to each other, a silent conversation going on between them when they both just smiled nervously at her, flaring their wings out to hint she needed to fly to help out with the clouds.

"Oh, right, no wings." Twilight said, blushing with embarrassment. "Awkward."

"Sorry Twilight." Rainbow Dash said.

She took in a deep breath and lowered her head, feeling kind of dumb for forgetting she needed to have wings to help clear clouds without magic. Sensing her thoughts, Spyro just wrapped his wings around her barrel, nibbling her ear to cheer her up, which she giggled like a school girl as she tried to pull away.

"Better?" He asked.

"Sort of." She replied.

"Don't worry little bookworm, we'll find something." Spyro said. "For now, lets see what the others teams are doing."

"Eh, do what you two want." Spike said, lying in some leaves. "But I'm going to be napping."

The baby dragon then started to snore, Spyro and Twilight both rolling their eyes at the baby dragon as the lavender mare picked him up and put him on her back, which annoyed the baby dragon as he glared at her. They walked along the roads of Ponyville, watching some of the ponies clean up the snow while some of the animal teams were busy with waking up some of the animals outside of town, watching everyone do their assigned task until they came to Rarity's boutique, where the fashion mare was outside at a table working on a birds nest for when the birds came back, applying the final ribbon on it before she looked up and saw them.

"Hey there Rare." Spyro said.

"Oh, hello Spyro, Twilight, Spike." She replied. "How are you doing?"

"We're ok." Twilight replied. "Rarity, please tell me there is something, anything I can do to help out."

"Well, now that you mention it, I could use some help designing some of Ponyville's finest birds nests." She replied. "Would you two mind lending a hoof?"

"Birds nests?" Twilight asked.

"Why yes." Rarity replied. "You see, when the weather teams guide the birds back north for the spring, they will have a beautiful nest to live in and lay their eggs."

"Wow Rarity, that one's very beautiful." Twilight said. "Maybe I can try my hoof at making one."

"Same here." Spyro added.

Rarity smiled with glee at her two friends, using her magic to lift a couple of baskets full of nesting supplies towards them, dumping the supplies onto the table in front of the two of them, which they instinctively sorted out they different items into perfect rows. The two of them got to work, Spyro turning his hooves into dragon paws as he got busy making his nest, letting the Force guide him in how to make it and after a couple of minutes, he made a perfect nest, complete with a big red ribbon on it as Rarity clapped her hooves.

"Bravo Spyro, bravo!" She exclaimed in pure joy. "You're a natural."

"What can I say, it's a gift." Spyro replied, smiling at the fashion pony. "And how's your coming Twi-" The three of them looked at the nest Twilight had made and all three were wide eyed in shock at how horrible it looked, thought it was what it looked like for some birds back on Earth, here it looked like a disaster needing to be bulldozed. "Karabast, that looks awful."

"Thanks for the criticism." Twilight said, leering at Spyro.

"Oh Spyro darling, it's not a complete loss." Rarity said, walking over and taking over for Twilight. "It just needs some adjustments that's all. Move the branch here, remove that ribbon, fix this spot-"

While she was busy working on repairing the disaster of the nest Twilight made, she and Spyro picked Spike up and walked away to find something else they could try, walking along as Spyro could see how disappointed the lavender unicorn looked, so he wrapped his wings around her again, this time warming his body up to warm her up, which she leaned into him and smiled, enjoying the warmth coming from him as they walked in the snow. After a little while, they soon came across a frozen pond where they saw Pinkie skating on it, creating lines in the ice while laughing, wondering if she was doing her assigned task or just goofing off.

"HELLO!" Pinkie shouted out as the three of them approached, watching her skate across the ice like an expert.

"Wow Pinkie, you're quite the skater." Twilight said, the two of them running to the edge of the frozen pond. "You're probably the best skater I've ever seen."

"Thank's Twilight." Pinkie replied. "I've been doing this since I was an itty-bitty, little, little, Twinkie Pinkie. Comes naturally." She then demonstrated by skating backwards and leaping into the air, landing on the lake with little effort. "Which is why they wanted me to make the lines in the ice so when the sun comes out, it'll melt it that much quicker."

"Now that's a good idea." Spyro said. "That way id doesn't take forever for the ice to melt."

"It's actually ingenious." Twilight said. "Hey, maybe we can help out."

"Why not?" Spyro asked. "Pinkie, you any more skates?"

"Sure do!" She replied. "Right under that tree behind you. I bet you two will be naturals like me."

Spyro and Twilight walked over to the tree where Pinkie said the other skates were, finding there to be lots of extra skates, so they found the ones that would fit them and put them on, though a little rocky at first, Spyro quickly got the hang of it, skating like a pro in no time, coming flips and spins like Pinkie and actually enjoying himself while Twilight was doing her best to stay up right, her legs wobbling.

"Um, I'm starting to have second thoughts about this." Twilight said, looking very nervous.

"Oh come on Twilight, you said you wanted to help." Spike said, pushing on the mares flank and sending her into the lake. "Now get out there."

After being pushed, Twilight was having a tough time trying to maneuver as she never skated before in her life, spinning around on the ice and struggling to keep upright until she slammed into Pinkie, who was trying to give her advice on how to skate, slamming into Spyro as he was enjoying himself as the three of them screamed, crashing into Spike, all of them being covered in snow and looking like a deformed snowman with hooves and forelegs sticking out. Spyro was on the bottom of the snowman with Twilight on top of him, Pinkie on top of her, and Spike on Pinkie's back, everyone shaking the snow off as Pinkie indicated how cold she was after that.

"Wow Twilight, you are a natural." Spike said, falling off Pinkie and laughing at his friend. "A natural disaster!"

"Hush Spike." Spyro said, everyone getting off him and helping Twilight up. "You did ok on your first try Twiley. It just takes a lot of practice, that's all."

"Exactly what I was going to say." Pinkie said. "Why, I think my first time was just as wobbly, bobbly, crasherific like your's was."

"Really?" Twilight asked.

"Um, no." Pinkie replied, crushing her spirit. "But did I make you feel better!?"

"Heh, yeah, I guess." She replied, but Spyro could sense how hurt she was.

"Don't worry Twilight." Pinkie said. "I'm bet you'll be super awesome at something that keeps your hooves on the ground. Oh, I know! Maybe you can help Fluttershy and Rosy Hearts with the critters."

"Well, I'm pretty good with little animals." Twilight replied, still on the ice as she began to skate away. "I'll go help them out, yeah."

"Uh, it's that away." Pinkie said, pointing in the opposite direction.

Twilight managed to turn herself around, but yelped and hollered in fear as she lost control again as she skated past them and rammed into a pile of snow, Spike laughing while Spyro helped her up and get the skates off her hooves. They then went to where some of the burrows were at, asking around where Fluttershy was until they found her with Rosy ringing some bells over the burrows and waking up some of the animals.

"Wake up little sleepyheads." Fluttershy said. "Hope you had some wonderful dreams and restful hibernation. But it's time to get up now, spring is coming."

She then backed away and from the burrow came some hedgehogs, yawning as they left the burrow.

"Ah, how cute." Twilight said.

"Aren't they?" Fluttershy asked. "This is my favorite task of the whole season. When I get to see all my little animal friends again."

"Uh, what's hibernation?" Spike asked.

"It's a very long sleep that most mammals do during the winter." Spyro replied. "When food runs out, they slow down their heart rate and sleep during the winter, conserving energy while also having a lot of fat on them to supply them with heat and fuel for the winter."

"Long sleep?" Spike asked. "That's for me."

They then looked over to Rosy, who rang the bell and set it down.

"Wake up little porcupines." She said. "Spring is coming."

A second later, a couple of porcupines walked out and yawned, stretching out before giving each other a hug, but ended up getting stuck with each other's quills.

"Never thought I'd see you out here doing this Rosy." Spyro said.

"Well, I love animals, so I thought I'd help Fluttershy out." She replied. "I can't see, so making birds nests would have been difficult, so I volunteered to help out with waking the animals up."

"It just amazes me with how you know which animal is which." Fluttershy said.

"I feel through the Force which animal is which." Rosy replied. "My father taught me everything about animals from mammals to insects."

"Well, you're lucky t have a loving father." Spyro said. "Not many ponies, or people for that matter, would do that for a kid who couldn't see."

He could then sense how happy she was, but also something else she wasn't telling him, though he didn't want to pry into her business, he wanted to ask what was wrong and why she was acting this way. However, he didn't try to as he watched Twilight take a bell after asking if she could help, heading to the first den she could find and rang the bell in front of it.

"Hello?" She said as gently as she could."Wake up little friends, where ever you are. Spring is coming." She then rang the bell again, setting it down and looking to Spyro and Rosy. "Oh, I wonder which cute little, furry creatures I've just awoken."

"Uh, Twilight, maybe you should step back." Rosy said. "That's-"

Before Rosy could say what she wanted to say, a few snakes came out and yawned, making a hissing noise, which Twilight freaked out as her mane and tail shot up like a cat.

"SNAKES!" She shouted.

She then backed away from the snakes, clearly afraid of them as she backed into a cave, which housed a lot of bats and she disturbed them, running away as she screamed when they came out, running into a tree and knocking down a beehive onto her head, screaming as she ran around, which Spyro took cover in a bush to avoid the bees as she ran by, running into another den, but as she got the hive off and tossed it away, she was then hit by a family of skunks.

"Good morning friends." Fluttershy said as the skunks walked out.

"From the sounds of, and smell of it, Twilight is not having a good day today." Rosy said.

"Yeah, she is having a very bad day." Spyro replied, seeing Twilight covered in bee stings and having been pelted with skunk spray leave back to town. "I would have helped, but... I hate bees. I hate them with a passion."

"Just like dad." Rosy whispered to herself.

"What was that?" Spyro asked.

"Nothing." Rosy replied. "Just... talking to myself. Excuse me."

She then ran away from him, heading to the nearby tree and hiding behind it, confusing both Spyro and Fluttershy, both looking to one another and shrugging their shoulders, failing to understand what was wrong with her. Spyro went after Twilight to see if she was ok, arriving at the library and knocking on the door, walking in to see a miserable looking Twilight covered in bee stings and reeking, having to take a bath in tomato soup to try and get the smell out of her coat and mane.

"Hey Twi, you ok?" Spyro asked.

"Yeah, I guess." She replied. "All this Winter Wrap Up stuff is a lot harder than it looks."

"That's because there's no magic." Spike said, using a clothes pin to block the smell out. "Why don't you use magic and be done with it the right way?"

"No Spike, I want to d it the traditional way." Twilight replied. "Ponyville has never needed magic to wrap up winter."

"But they never had you or Spyro before either." Spike pointed out. "Think of how much quicker you guys would be able to wrap winter up if you used your magic, or the Force for that matter."

"No, no, no!" Twilight replied. "I'm going to find a way to help wrap up winter, even if it kills me!"

Spike then poured more tomato soup on top of Twilight's head, groaning as he did so and he started to scrub hard, which Twilight didn't seem to enjoy in the slightest, but toughed through it to not smell like a skunk.

"Hey Twi, have you noticed how strange Rosy's been acting lately?" Spyro asked. "She seems to be hiding something."

"I noticed." Spike replied. "She's been acting a little weird lately. I hear her talk to herself, but when I asked what she was talking about, she makes up an excuse. However, when she's around you, she becomes nervous. You think she has a crush on you?"

"I don't think it's that Spike." Twilight answered. "She told me she isn't romantically attracted to him, but she seems to like him."

This bit of information got Spyro thinking, wondering that if she didn't have a crush on him, then why does she seem very nervous around him. After a little while, Twilight got out of the tub and cleaned herself off, cleaning the soup off herself before the two of them left the library to see what else they could try, coming to Sweet Apple Acres and found some of the ponies in Applejacks team were pushing snow out of the fields while others were digging up the dirt and planting seeds.

"Keep pushing Caramel!" Applejack shouted. "That's it pumpkin! I know it's hard work, but you guys are doing great!"

"Hey Applejack." Twilight said. "How's everything going?"

"Oh, just dandy." Applejack replied. "A little slow at the start, but peachy all the same. There's a lot of ground to clean here. We can't start the planting until we get all this heap of snow hightailed out of here."

"Well, I'd like to help." Twilight said.

Both Applejack and Spyro looked at her, worried as she wasn't exactly that strong and wouldn't be able to help with pushing the snow away or with pulling a plow.

"Well, Ah don't know Twilight." Applejack said.

"Yeah, no offense Twilight, but you aren't that physically fit." Spyro added. "Even with a few months of training, you're not exactly that strong."

"Please, just give me a chance." Twilight pleaded.

"Well, Ah've never turned down a hard worker." Applejack replied. "But-"

Twilight then trotted towards one of the plows used for removing the snow and hopped in, trying to push against it to get it to move, but it refused to budge, making her realize how heavy it really was, so she came up with an idea, using magic to get it to move. Applejack didn't seem to notice, but Spyro did, seeing the hot pink aura surround it as she got it to move, which Spyro shook his head as she wanted to do it the traditional way, but decided to use magic to help herself out, which worked for the most part.

"Awfully strong for such a little pony." Applejack said. "Even with your training Spyro."

"Well how about that." Spike said. "She's actually following my advice."

"And what in tarnation kind of advice would that be?" Applejack asked, sounding annoyed and suspicious.

She got her answer when she noticed how much quicker the plow was going, suddenly pressing against her rear as it suddenly started to speed all over the place, speeding past other ponies and causing some of the snow to splash onto ponies, covering them in the cold frozen flakes of snow. Suddenly, it came straight for the three of them, the group gasping in surprise as it ran into them and put them into a snowball that was growing bigger and bigger as it ran, Applejack saying something, but it sounded distorted and he couldn't hear what she was saying until they crashed into a cliff side, the two ponies and the baby dragon very dizzy, but their moment of dizziness was interrupted when the snow on the top of the cliffside started to fall down the side, covering the freshly cleared field below in an avalanche, which caused everyone to shout and groan in annoyance while also glaring at Twilight.

"Nuts Twilight, you used magic!" Applejack scolded.

"The nerve." Spike said. "Can you believe her?"

"Funny, I remember you saying to Twilight how her magic could help speed things along a little while ago." Spyro said, leering at the baby dragon.

"That's not how we do it around here Twilight." Applejack said, still leering at Twilight. "Especially not on my farm!"

"Well see..." Twilight began to say, tears forming in her eyes. "I just wanted to..."

She didn't finish what she was going to say and instead got out of the snow and ran away, leaving Spike and Spyro with Applejack as she ran away in tears. Spyro got out of the snow and was about to run but saw how disorganized the workers were, running into each other and pushing snow into places that have already been cleared, scratching his chin as an idea started to form in his head. He rushed into town to see if he could find Twilight, not having any luck until he could feel her emotions, sensing her despair and sadness and followed it until he found her hiding in a bush, crying her eyes out.

"Twilight... you in there?" Spyro asked.

"Go away." She said. "I'm a winter wash out."

"No you're not." Spyro said, sitting down in front of the bush. "You may not be good at all the things the other ponies are doing, but you are good at many other things."

"But, but I wanted to do this without my magic." Twilight said, popping her head out of the bush. "But I'm just a failure. I can't make nests, clear clouds, clear away snow, I can't do any of that without my magic!" She was about to cry again, coming out of the bush and siting next to Spyro, leaning against him. "I'm a failure."

"Don't say that Twiley." Spyro said, wrapping his wings around her. "You aren't a failure. Sure, you have some difficulty doing things without your magic, but that doesn't mean you can't contribute in your own way."

"But... how?" Twilight asked.

"Rainbow Dash, ya'll on the weather team need to melt the rest of the snow here on the ground and the trees, pronto!" Applejack said.

"On it." Rainbow Dash replied.

"You can't." Fluttershy said. "My poor little animals homes will get flooded if you melt the snow too fast."

"Got it." Rainbow Dash replied.

"I'm telling you Rainbow, you gotta melt that snow now." Applejack said.

"No, you need to wait." Fluttershy said.

"Okay?" Rainbow Dash replied, questioning them.

"Go." Applejack said.

"Stop." Fluttershy replied.

"Go!" Applejack shouted.

"Stop!" Fluttershy exclaimed.

"GO!" Applejack shouted.

"Stop!" Fluttershy said.

"MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

At that moment, Mayor Mare walked over, looking annoyed as she heard all the bickering.

"What is with all the arguing?" Mayor Mare asked. "This kind of silliness is the reason why we were late for spring last year." At that moment, Twilight's head shot up, surprised to hear that they were late for spring last year. "And the year before that, and the one before that."

"Did she say... late?" Twilight asked.

"Your ears don't deceive you little bookworm." Spyro replied.

"I was really hoping my amazingly inspirational speech would urge everyone to do better than last year." Mayor Mare continued. "But now it looks like we're going to be later than ever. I mean, look at this catastrophe." Everyone looked out and saw what was going on, some of them looking very unhappy. "The Ice scorers made the ice chunks too big to melt, the nest designer is horrendously behind as we need several hundred more nests, but she's only made one. And don't get me started about all the clouds still in the sky, the icicles in the trees, this isn't good, not at all."

"And it's going to be all to pieces disaster if we can't get our seeds planted."

"Chillax Applejack." Rainbow Dash snapped. "We're going as fast as we can, we're literally busting our chops at this point."

"No, not fast." Fluttershy said. "You need to wake animals slowly."

A minute later, Big Mac and Caramel walked up to them, the big red stallion not looking too happy while the caramel colored one looked embarrassed and unhappy.

"Uh, AJ." Big Mac said.

"Oh good gravy!" Applejack snapped. "Caramel lost the grass seeds again, didn't he?"

"Yup." Big Mac replied.

"Rainbow! Rainbow!" One of the weather team shouted, flying to them. "Ditzy Doo went north to get the southern birds!"

"On that feather brain!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Didn't she learn her lesson last year when she went west!?"

Everyone then started to shout and argue with one another, putting them further behind the more they argued, which made Spyro smile as he knew exactly who could help.

"Geez, they're so disorganized." Spyro pointed out, hoping to spark an idea into Twilight's head. "They need someone to help them get more organized. And luckily for them, I know just the mare for the job."

Spyro looked down to Twilight, who seemed to have gotten the hint and smiled, looking up to him and kissing him, taking him by total surprise as she ran off to the crowd, the hybrid collapsing to the ground from the total shock of what Twilight did. After regaining his senses, he got up and rushed over right as she was using a bird as a whistle to get their attention, which the bird glared at Twilight for doing that.

"Sorry." She said to the bird, looking to the crowd. "I know you all want to complete your jobs on time, but arguing is no way to go about it."

"Twilight's right." Spyro said. "The more you argue, the more time you loose."

"That's why you need... organization!" Twilight said, Spike coming up with a clipboard. "Spyro and I are good at organizing things, so we can help you all get organized enough to get your tasks done on time."

"However, in order to get everything completed on time, we're going to need to work through the night, so make sure you have plenty of coffee and food items that will keep you up at night." Spyro said. "Except for you Pinkie, you're hyper enough."

"Oh come on!" Pinkie retorted. "You never let me get the good stuff!"

"For everyone's safety." Spyro said. "Anyway, group up! Let's get planning."

Spyro and Twilight got busy organizing everything to where it can all be done before tomorrow morning, reorganizing the supplies into hay bales and rolls of ribbons instead of being a huge mess for the nest builders and making sure Rarity had some helpers so she wasn't overwhelmed by all the work. Then they organized the ice scorers to where they cut straight lines, turning chunks of ice into perfect squares small enough to melt quickly when the sun came out, followed by heading to the fields and organizing the snow plows to where they all moved in tangent in a single direction instead of multiple directions, followed closely by the ponies ploughing the fields and making straight lines where those in charge of the seeds could plant them, finding the grass seeds Caramel misplaced and making a note not to let him handle any kind of seeds. Then it was time for the animals, which was the simplest one yet, tying bells over the dens and burrows so they can all ring at the same time, waking up the animals all together rather than separately, through they had to pry Twilight out of a tree as some snakes slithered by.

After all the animals were cleared out, Fluttershy winked at the bird that was sitting on her head, letting her know to give the signal for the weather team to do their part, which they came flying down in a single, V-shaped formation that moved fast and caught all the clouds in a tundra, sucking them up and the snow as they flew by, clearing the area out instantly of snow and icicles and letting any snow that remained on the ground melt away after the sun was out. As night was coming in, everyone was busy planting seeds for some of the new plants all throughout the night, some clearly exhausted and keeping up the pace until morning, which the weather team had managed to bring all the birds that flew south for the winter back up north while another team went to find Derpy after she got lost again, making a note to give her a compass so she knows where to go, and a GPS unit when Spyro made one. As the birds found nests where they could house in and lay their eggs, the plant team was watering all the plants and seeds they planted so the food can grow, Spike checking everything off on the list as everyone looked out into the town, finding that everything looked perfect as the grass was starting to grow, animals were out playing, and the sun was shining, spring having finally come.

"I can't believe it." Mayor Mare said. "Spring is here... on time! And we have the two of you to thank for it. Without the two of you and your organizing skills, we would still be arguing."

"Yup." Big Mac said, everyone laughing at his comment.

"Thanks Mayor Mare." Twilight said. "But I can't take all the credit. Spyro helped out a lot with organizing everything."

"It was a team effort Twi." Spyro said, the two nestling their heads together.

"And because the two of you helped every team, we have a special vest for the both of you." Mayor Mare said. Rarity came over with two vests that had all three colors, green on the bottom half of the vests, blue on top, and tan for the lining of the vests. "We give the both of you the title, 'All Team Organizers.'"

A moment later, Rarity used her magic to put the vests on both of them, the two organizers looking at their vests and marveling at them.

"Gosh, I don't even know what to say." Twilight said. "Thank you everypony!"

"And I, Mayor mare, hereby declare that winter is wrapped up, on time!" Mayor Mare decreed.

Everyone in the crowd cheered at the mention of winter being wrapped up on time, some even dancing at the mention of it as the crowd dispersed. Spyro and his friends, including Rosy, went to Sugarcube Corner to celebrate a successful Winter Wrap Up, everyone getting a large cupcake to celebrate as they all talked and had fun.

"Man, for a second, Ah thought we'd be late again." Applejack said.

"I must concur." Rarity said. "Though, I probably wouldn't have been behind if a certain 'somepony' hadn't made a certain nest."

She then looked over to Twilight, who smiled nervously, making everyone laugh as they knew who she was talking about.

"Still, I'm glad I could have helped out with Winter Wrap Up this year." Rosy said. "Every time I volunteered, they would make me sit it out because of my eyes."

"That's not very nice!" Pinkie said. "Everypony has a part in wrapping up winter! You're no exception!"

"I agree." Fluttershy said. "I really enjoyed your help with the animals."

"Thank you for including me Fluttershy." Rosy said, taking a bit from her cupcake.

A minute later, they heard one of the twins crying and Carrot Cake came rushing down, carrying Pound Cake as he seemed to be crying pretty hard.

"Spyro, I need your help!" Carrot Cake said. "Our son, Pound Cake woke up from his nap, but was crying, waking Pumpkin up."

"We tried the mobile, but it didn't work." Cupcake said. "I managed to calm Pumpkin down, but Pound is still crying."

"Oh, right, forgot about that." Spyro said, setting his sugary treat down. "I forgot to write down the song I used to help calm them down. Here, let me see him."

Carrot Cake brought pPound Cake over, which Spyro picked him up in his hooves and started to rock him in his forelegs, recreating the illusion as he started to hum, the colt calming down as soon as he heard it.

[Spyro]

On winds and waters, may you cross,

see mountains white and blue.

But on the road, let's not forget,

the love I have for you.

Dance on beaches in Anfalas,

sleep in moonlit fields of view.

May you cross another golden age,

with preciousness freeflowing.

With Halflings, Elves, and Dwarves engaged,

their wisdom onto you, bestowing.

As he was singing the song and humming the tune, Pound Cake's eyes started to get heavy, falling asleep to the song as he sung it, but no one was paying attention to Rosy, her eyes tearing up as she listened to the song, remembering something that seemed to have caused her some pain in her heart. After returning the sleeping colt to his parents, he turned around to finish his cupcake, but when he did, he noticed that Rosy was not there, everyone looking around the room for her until Spyro noticed her running down the street, sensing how upset she was and decided to follow her. After a little while, he followed her tracks to the park, which he could sense her emotions as he felt some kind of joy, yet sorrow and longing, following it until he found her underneath a weeping willow tree, trying to hide underneath it as he approached, but as he did, he noticed she was actually crying as if she had just lost someone she really cared about.

"Rosy, are... are you ok?" Spyro asked, slowly approaching her.

"I'm... I'm fine." She replied, wiping the tears away. "Just... just..."

"Rosy, you know I can sense your emotions, right?" Spyro asked, walking over and sitting down next to her. "Something's upset you. Was it something I said? Or didn't say? Did? Didn't do?"

"No, it's none of those." She replied, leaning into him. "It's what you sung." She then looked up to a very confused Spyro, though blind, she could still see him through the force. "That song... it's what my adopted father would sing to me as a baby."

"But... that doesn't make any sense." Spyro pointed out. "Only I know the song. It was from one of my video games and..." That was when he stopped talking, putting the pieces together as he suddenly felt his heart stop, his own blood going cold and he looked back down to Rosy, his eyes the size of pin needles as he finally realized what she meant. "Rosy... you're...?"

"Hello dad." Rosy said, hugging a very surprised Spyro as he tried to process what he had just heard and had just realized, feeling like his whole world got turned upside down.

A ways away, in a dark and terrible place of Equestria's future, storm clouds have gathered around a dark and desolate castle somewhere in Equestria and in the main thrown room sat a pony in black and red armor, sitting in the throne. Until the eye sockets in his helmet started to glow, a pair of red and yellow eyes leering through the helmet and he raised his hoof, a dark green stream appearing in his hoof as it showed itself branching out, the stream disappearing as he looked up.

"Midnight." The pony said, his voice distorted and dark.

From the darkness, a dark purple unicorn mare walked out, her mane black and blue with a stripe of pink in it, her Cutie mark in the shape of a Keyblade, but the design of it was a wing similar to that of Riku's, but with feathers instead of membrane, the tip of it looked like a couple of blood red scythes with the top part of the Nobodies symbol, the guard of it was the same black wings and the Nobody symbol in the middle of the guard. The Keychain looked to be black in color with a skull at the end with a couple of Scythes behind the skull, the background of her Cutie mark looking like a dark blue star with dark clouds circling around the star.

"You called, my lord?" Midnight asked, bowing to him.

"There is a disturbance." He said. "A disturbance in the timeline. There is an anomaly, changing the course of history."

"It has to be Rosy." Midnight said, looking very upset. "She hasn't been seen in months. She must have found a way into the past."

"If so, she must be dealt with." The leader said. "I want you to find out where she is and eliminate her, with extreme prejudice."

"Yes my lord." Midnight replied. "It shall be done."

A moment later, the pony on the throne lifted his hoof and immediately, a green cloud appeared in his hoof, blowing it into the wall as it swirled around, generating a large portal that created a scene in Equestria's past, allowing the mare to walk through it, closing the portal behind her and leaving her leader alone in his throne room, looking up to the murals of the past as he sighed, feeling sadness and grief as he looked up.
