Chapter 81: Hearts and Hooves Day

A few days went by after having returned from the Marvel universe and the girls managed to get Spyro out of the Flerken stomach and they were adamant about getting rid of it, returning it to the Marvel Universe for someone else to have problems with it, which Fluttershy wasn't pleased with as she found the Flerken very cute, but Spyro's mind was made up and he wasn't keeping it in Equestria as who knew what kind of trouble they would get into it the Princess found out they had an alien disguised as a cat. Spyro was busy on the farm when he was told by the fillies it was Hearts and Hooves day, which was Equestria's equivalent to Valentine's Day, so he got a few cards for the girls and for Zecora and Luna while also making some jewelry for them to show how much he loved them all, knowing that they would love the gesture. While also getting the cards, he got some flowers of different sorts and colors, wanting to decorate the inside of the boxes he was going to put the jewelry in, but while he was making his way back to the farm, he passed by the crusaders club house and saw they were making something, curious he walked to the club house and up the ramp, looking in to see a big mess inside the club house, but also a very big heart with a lot of glitter on it.

"It not quite right yet girls." Apple Bloom said, walking through some glue with glitter in it. "Ah don't feel like it's finished."

"I know what you mean." Sweetie Belle said. "If it's for Ms. Cheerilee, it needs to be perfect. After all, Hearts and Hooves Day only comes once a year."

"Hey, maybe we can add a bit more ribbon." Scootaloo said, picking up a roll of ribbon.

"Yeah, and maybe a tiny bit more lace." Sweetie Belle said, throwing some more lace on the massive heart.

"Yeah, and some more Hoof prints." Apple Bloom added, dipping her hooves into a can of paint before walking around the edge of her heart.

"And glitter!" Scootaloo said. "It could use more glitter."

She got a bucket of pink glitter and dumped it all onto the massive Hearts and Hooves day heart, making it shine pink. Spyro couldn't help but snicker at the gift, getting the fillies attention as they realized he was there.

"Wow, you girls seem to really like your teacher." Spyro said.

"Yeah, she's the greatest!" Apple Bloom replied. This will show her how much we love her. We just got to get it to the Hearts and Hooves party at school."

Sweetie Belle the brought over an envelope, which was obviously way too small for the heart as they could only get the tip of it into the envelope.

"Um, we're going to need a bigger envelope." Scootaloo said.

"No kidding." Spyro said, shaking his head. "Well, I'll let you girls figure out how to get it out of the club house. I got a bit of work to do. Have fun at the party."

Spyro then left the fillies alone to figure out how to transport the massive heart, he got to his Gummi garage and got to work on making his gifts for the herd, getting the gold and silver out while also finding some gems from his Core room that haven't been infused with any magic yet, carefully cutting them and fashioning them into small gems while also making sure they would go with each other. He melted the gold and silver down in separate melters, pouring them into the mold he has to make an assortment of different kinds of jewelry, bracelets, rings, earrings, even a couple of necklaces. He then got to work making sure the gems he cut out would fit in everything before getting to work on integrating them into the bands, putting them in and making sure they wouldn't fall out. Once it was done, he then wrote out the cards and got the boxes he needed and put the jewelry inside of them, putting in some flowers with each one along with the finished cards, smiling to himself as he was very pleased with his hard work. He then wrote out an invitation for the members of his herd to join him for a picnic in the park, enjoy the day together as a herd before sending out the invitations and asking the mail ponies to deliver a package for him, sending it to Princess Luna as he knew he couldn't join her today, but knew a perfect way to make it up to her.

At the schoolhouse, the foals were all chatting and giving out their Hearts and Hooves cards to their friends and to Ms. Cheerilee, their school teacher, who they all loved very much. But when she turned to see who entered, her eyes widened in surprise to see the Crusaders come in with a massive heart for her.

"Oh girls, it's lovely." Ms. Cheerilee said. "And so... big."

"Well, we wanted to show ya how much we love ya." Apple Bloom said. "And let you know you're the best teacher in the whole wide world while also wishing you the best Hearts and Hooves day ever!"

"Oh, than you girls, I love it." Cheerilee said, being careful not to get any glitter on herself. "Truly, I do."

"But I bet it's nothing compared to the gifts your very special somepony, right?" Sweetie Belle asked

"Oh, I don't have a very special somepony." Cheerilee replied, walking to join the rest of her students.

"WHAT!?" The crusaders exclaimed at the same time.

"How can somepony as amazing as you not have a very special somepony at all?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Oh Sweetie Belle, it's alright that I don't have a special somepony." Cheerilee replied. "I have lots of friends and students who love me very much. Besides, I don't think I'm quite ready for romance yet."

She then walked off to her other students, who were all giving her the cards they had made while leaving the three fillies completely surprised by what they had heard.

"But, she's an amazing pony." Apple Bloom said. "If anypony deserves a very special somepony, it's her."

"Hey, I got it!" Sweetie Belle said. "We should find her a very special somepony! There has to be at least one stallion out there for her."

"That's a great idea!" Apple Bloom replied. "Hey, what about Spyro? Maybe we can get Cheerilee to join the herd?"

"Are you kidding?" Scootaloo asked. "I mean, he would seem like the right fit, but she doesn't seem to like him that much."

"Plus he already has eight mares in the herd, he might not want more for a while." Apple Bloom said. "We'll find her a special somepony."

"But it can't just be any stallion." Sweetie Belle said. "Her special somepony needs to be the best stallion in Ponyville."

The school day ended early for the students as all of them ran out of the school and went back home or to the park, but the Crusaders walked into the town when music started to play all of a sudden, indicating that a musical number is about to start.

[Sweetie Belle]

Cheerilee is sweet and kind,

she is the best teacher we could hope for.

The perfect stallion you and I must find.

One to really make her heart so-o-oar!

They then started to run in random directions to pick out random stallions, but the ones they found didn't meet any of the expectations they were looking for their teacher.

But...

This one's too young,

this one is too old.

He clearly has a terrible cold.

The stallion she approached sneezed and made Sweetie Belle back away quickly to not catch it.

[Apple Bloom]

This guy's too silly,

he's way too uptight.

"I say!" The stallion said, finding what she sung to be insulting. The three fillies then walked into the park and found someone lying next to a tree.

[Sweetie Belle]

Well nothing's wrong with this one.

He seems alright...

"Huh?" The stallion said, turning to see that the pony they were singing about was actually Spyro.

"Spyro!" Scootaloo exclaimed in shock, finding the rest of his herd there with him and each with a gift from Spyro, Rarity and Fluttershy gotten some earrings, Twilight and Applejack a ring each, Rainbow Dash a bracelet with a red thunder bolt on it, and Pinkie with a gold necklace with a blue sapphire on it.

"Oh, hey there crusaders." Spyro said.

"We're ya'll just singin'?" Applejack asked.

"Sounded like it." Spyro replied. "Seemed to be something about me." He then gave them a playful smile, knowing they were up to something. "What are you three troublemakers up to this time?"

"Nothing!" Sweetie Belle replied, giving a nervous smile.

"Gotta go now, bye!" Apple Bloom said.

The three crusaders then sped off, leaving the eight of them alone in the park, shrugging their shoulders as they resumed their picnic.

Well that was a bit awkward. How about this one?

[Apple Bloom]

He's much too flashy.

[Scootaloo]

He might do!

[Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle]

If he weren't so splashy.

[Apple Bloom]

Too short.

[Sweetie Belle]

Too tall.

[Apple Bloom]

Too clean.

[Scootaloo]

Too smelly.

[Sweetie Belle]

Too strangely obsessed with jars of jelly!

Sweetie Belle backed away from the disturbing stallion that was covered in jelly, running into the other two fillies as they all sighed sadly.

[Apple Bloom]

Ah don't think we're mistaken.

All the good stallions are taken.

[Sweetie Belle]

I feel like at this rate,

we'll never find the perfect date.

[Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom]

Don't wanna quit and give up hope!

The three of them hopped up a pile of hay bales when Scootaloo noticed Big Macintosh loading hay into a cart.

"Hey Big Mac, you doing anything special for Hearts and Hooves day?" Scootaloo asked, the three fillies praying for a miracle.

[Sweetie Belle]

Oh please, oh please, oh please say-

"Nope." Bug Mac replied, making them excited from his reply.

We did it girls!

We found the one.

Who will send our teacher heart a flutter.

As they trotted in excitement, Apple Bloom finally realized who it was they had found to be their teachers date, the music suddenly ending.

"Wait a minute, let me get this straight." Apple Bloom said. "Are ya talkin' about mah brother?"

"Sweetie Belle is right." Scootaloo said. "Big Macintosh is the perfect stallion for Ms. Cheerilee. He's kind and a hard worker."

"He's also shy and not much of a talker." Apple Bloom pointed out. "He'll never ask her to be her special somepony."

"I already thought of that." Sweetie Belle said. "We can set up a romantic setting and Ms. Cheerilee will surely ask Big Mac to be her special somepony!"

"That's a great idea!" Scootaloo said.

"What are we waiting for!?" Apple Bloom asked. "Let's do it!"

Back at the park, Spyro and the herd were resting under the shade of the tree they had set their picnic at, everyone cuddling up against Spyro as they enjoyed the day out without having any kind of craziness or any Heartless attacking them. As they all rested peacefully under the tree and, despite the interruption from Sweetie Belle, they were all content and happy, not having a care in the world as Spyro used his wings and hooves to cover and hold as many mares as possible.

"Hmm, today has just been wonderful." Fluttershy said, snuggling up against the young prince.

"I must admit, I'm actually enjoying this." Rainbow Dash said. "Though, not that much."

"Rainbow, darling, don't spoil the moment." Rarity said, snuggling up against Spyro. "Just enjoy the peace and serenity."

Rainbow Dash grumbled a bit, turning on her side as she rested her head on Spyro's lap, but then he smiled, remembering something from one of the books Twilight lent him, he reached behind her back and rubbed the space between her wings, making her gasp and blush as her wings became erect, getting the others to look at her as she moaned from the sudden and pleasurable feeling.

"T-that feels good." She said, her eyes suddenly shooting open after hearing what she had just said.

"Oh, that feels good does it?" Spyro said, gently rubbing the muscles between the erect wings as she tried to get away, only for him to pull her in and the two started to wrestle.

"Hey, cut it out!" She exclaimed, trying to break free as he kept rubbing the spot between her wings.

"I don't think so." Spyro replied, the girls laughing at their friend being at his mercy. "Besides, you're too cute when you're blushing like that."

Their friends just laughed at them, enjoying the cyan Pegasus's embarrassment, but Twilight and Zecora suddenly noticed the three crusaders moving through the park, each carrying a picnic basket, a blanket and a record player with records, wondering what they were up to.

"What are those three doing?" Twilight asked, getting everyone to look to the nearby gazebo where the fillies were setting up a romantic setting.

"Do my eyes deceive me, are they setting up a romantic picnic lunch?" Zecora asked. "I got a bad feeling and that is not a hunch."

"I'm with you there Zecora." Spyro said, getting off Rainbow Dash. "I don't need my Jedi training or my Force senses to know they're up to something."

"But what pray tell is it?" Applejack asked. "Should we ask them?"

"Might as well." Twilight said. "Might need to be nearby if we need to clean up another one of their messes."

They approached the fillies to ask what they were up to when they noticed Big Mac and Cheerilee walking up to the Gazebo, each coming a different way until they had reached the romantic picnic setting.

"Wait, what's going on here?" Applejack asked. "Why is mah brother on a date with Ms. Cheerilee?"

"I got the feeling our sisters are behind this." Spyro replied. "Must be trying to hook Big Mac and Ms. Cheerilee up for Hearts and Hooves day."

"Aw, it's actually kinda sweet." Rarity said. "I don't like to say how a pony's love life should go, but those two really needed somepony to love."

"Yeah, kinda like Applejack did before meeting Spyro." Rainbow Dash said, Applejack leering at her.

They continued to watch as the fillies gave some kind of excuse to each of them to bring them out to what appeared to be a blind date and after they got the two of them alone as Sweetie Belle set the record, romantic music playing to try and set the mood. The school teacher tried to start a conversation with the red stallion, but it quickly became awkward as he only gave single worded responses most of the time.

"Aw, isn't it romantic?" Fluttershy asked.

"It's just divine." Rarity said.

"It's so sappy!" Rainbow Dash said.

Rarity slammed her hoof down on her tail, making her yelp in pain as she glared at Rarity for doing that. They then saw the two of them leaning into each other, the group watching as they half expected the two of them to actually kiss.

"Big Mac." Cheerilee said, the eleven ponies listening to the conversation.

"Eyup?" Big Mac asked.

"You got something stuck in your teeth." Cheerilee replied, the record scratching and ending the music.

"OH COME ON!" Sweetie Belle shouted, complaining as she popped out of the bush, but was then pulled down by Scootaloo.

Spyro, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie couldn't help but burst out laughing at the fillies exasperation and the teachers comment, the record scratching to an end being the breaking point as it was perfectly timed. Spyro fell on his back while Rainbow Dash fell on her side and Pinkie on her stomach, the hybrid and Pegasus mare clutching their sides as they laughed very hard while Pinkie was hitting the ground very fast as tears rolled down her face, the others just shaking their heads while Rarity just face smacked herself. The two earth ponies walked away, going their separate ways while the fillies all groaned, disappointed their blind date failed and slumped off away and leaving the picnic alone.

"Oh my goodness!" Spyro said, still laughing. "There is no way you can write that! That was the funniest thing to have ever happened, ever!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Pinkie laughed. "The two of them looked like they were going to kiss, but then Big Mac was told he had something in his teeth! And Sweetie Belle's reaction, priceless!"

"And the record player scratching like that!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No way you can make that up! That timing was perfect!"

"Ugh, you three are hopeless." Rarity said.

"I must admit, the fillies intention was rather strange, no set up this date and make this courtship something they did arrange." Zecora said.

"Seems the fillies wanted them to get together." Applejack said. "Which won't work. Big Mac isn't exactly a social butterfly."

"Well, not to spoil the mood or anything, but I need to head back to the library real quick." Twilight said. "Oh shoot, I forgot to get bring the cookies. I got some for the picnic today and completely forgot about them. I need to head back to the library real quick to get them."

"It's no problem Twilight." Spyro said. "I need to head into town real quick anyway and pick up some chocolates for us all to enjoy. Be back in a minute."

"Alright, but do be quick Spyro darling." Rarity said, fluttering her eyes at him. "We have a surprise for you when you get back."

She walked over and gave him a peck on the cheek, Spyro smiling and walking into town to get to the candy shop ran by Bon Bon to get some chocolates. As he was making his way to the candy shop, the crusaders were walking down the street with their head hug down low, Apple Bloom kicking a rock as they walked into town as their attempt to get Big Mac and Cheerilee failed.

"Maybe it wasn't romantic enough." Apple Bloom suggested.

"I think it was too romantic." Scootaloo said.

"Either way, we failed." Sweetie Belle said. "Wish there was a way we could get those two together."

They then ran into Twilight, who had with her the Hearts and Hooves day cookies she was bringing with her as well as a few books in her saddle bags, looking down to the crusaders.

"Oh, I'm sorry girls." Twilight said. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

"Oh, it's ok Twilight." Apple Bloom replied. "It was an accident." She then noticed the book that Twilight was reading as she picked up the large bag of cookies. "Whatcha readin' there?"

"Oh, it's about the history of Hearts and Hooves day." Twilight replied. "It's fascinating as it got its name because of a love potion."

"Love potion!?" The crusaders asked at the same time.

"Yeah, this book has the complete history of Hearts and Hooves day." Twilight replied. "Even the ingredients and methods to make it."

"Really now?" Apple Bloom asked. "Don't suppose we could borrow the book for a little while, do ya? Fear reading purposes of course."

"Oh, sure, no problem." Twilight replied, handing the book over to Sweetie Belle. "Oh, I also have another book here you might..." She turned back to the crusaders and found they were gone, groaning to herself. "Oh, I hope they aren't going to do what I think they're going to do."

In the village, Spyro had just gotten the chocolates and was on his way back to the park, passing by a lot of other couples who were out on a date on this very special day. After reaching the park, he noticed the fillies were setting up another blind date, having an idea that it was for Big Mac and Cheerilee again, he just shook his head and kept walking back to the herd, finding everyone was there and waiting.

"I'm back." Spyro said.

"Spyro darling." Rarity said. "Welcome back. I am sorry, but your surprise isn't quite ready yet. But it will be tonight."

"Well, can't wait to see it." Spyro said, putting the box of chocolates in the middle for everyone to enjoy. "And it seems the fillies are trying to play Cupid again. They're trying to set up another blind date for Big Mac and Cheerilee again."

"Oh, that's nice of them." Fluttershy said. "They must really think they're perfect for one another."

"Ah don't know." Applejack said. "Big Macintosh is a bit shy. When it comes to asking mares out, he's a complete wreck. Shoulda seen him try to ask his crush out back in school. He was sweatier than a pig in a pig show."

"Well, I hope everything works out alright." Twilight said.

"Oh, before Ah forget, did Big Mac say if he finished collecting all them bales of hay?" Applejack asked.

"I don't know." Spyro replied. "Maybe we should go ask him."

"Good idea." Applejack said. "We won't be long girls."

The two of them got up and walked to the gazebo where Spyro last saw the fillies. At the Gazebo, the fillies had finished setting up another blind date, but this time they had the love potion they had made and were just waiting for their teacher and the red farm stallion as they approached the Gazebo.

"Hi Ms. Cheerilee." Apple Bloom said.

"Hello again girls." Cheerilee said. "Hello Big Mac. Would you mind tell me why it was so important to meet you here?"

"Punch!" Sweetie Belle replied. "We made punch for you two because we were planning on setting up a stand to sell it, but we needed a couple of ponies approval first."

The three of them then rushed back into the bush they were hiding in last time, leaving them alone in the gazebo again.

"Oh, I am so sorry Big Mac." Cheerilee said. "I sorta mentioned that I didn't have a very special somepony today. So, I guess they thought you would be perfect for me as my special somepony." The two of them then started laughing at the thought of it. "Well, might as well indulge them. this punch does look good."

"Eeyup." Big Mac replied.

"Oh, hey Big Mac, Cheerilee." Spyro said, he and Applejack walking up to them.

"Oh, hello Spyro, Applejack." Cheerilee said. "How are you two doing? Having a wonderful hearts and Hooves day today?"

"Oh yes we are Ms. Cheerilee." Applejack replied, turning to Big Mac. "Hey Mac, did ya finish collecting them bales of hey."

"Nope." Big Mac replied. "Was about finished when Apple Bloom asked me to come to come here and try this punch."

The two of them looked down at the two glasses of punch, which to them did look very tasty to them.

"Mac, you should probably finish with the hay before you try and go on blind dates." Applejack said. "Especially if our sister and her friends are setting it up."

"Eeyup." Big Mac said.

He then walked away from the Gazebo and left Cheerilee with Spyro and Applejack, everyone hearing the fillies groan in disappointment as their plan had just failed again, this time from interference from their siblings.

"Sorry for ruining your date Ms. Cheerilee." Spyro said.

"Oh, it's alright Spyro, no harm done." Ms. Cheerilee replied. "I appreciate the effort the girls are going to get me a special somepony, but I'm not quite ready for romance yet."

"Maybe you should tell them that." Spyro said. "Let them know that you aren't quite ready for that kind of commitment yet."

"I guess you're right." She replied. "Hey, wanna drink this punch with me? This way it doesn't go to waste."

"Sure, why not?" Spyro replied, picking the other glass up. "Wish there was a third glass, then you could have some AJ."

"Oh, that's alright sugarcube." Applejack replied. "Besides, ya'll got a bigger surprise later tonight sugarcube."

Spyro chuckled a bit, knowing that whatever they had in store for him, he was going to enjoy. So he picked the glass of punch up and the two ponies took a drink, gulping it down, but his eyes then shot open, feeling a bit of discomfort in his stomach before both he and Cheerilee hiccuped at the same time, seeing half a heart come out of his muzzle and realized all too late what it was.

"Oh poodoo!" Spyro exclaimed. "That wasn't punch, that was a love potion!"

"What!?" Cheerilee and Applejack shouted at the same time.

The two hearts then connected and both his and Cheerilee's eyes met, their eyes turning pink and purple as they instantly fell for one another.

"Oh no." Scootaloo said. "What have we done?"

"Spyro, will you be my special somepony?" Cheerilee asked.

"Of course I would, my shmoopy-doopy sweetie-weenie pony pie." Spyro replied.

"Spyro? Cheerilee? Apple Bloom asked, but the two of them ignored her as they ran into town, leaving the four of them alone. "Oh, we are in so much trouble."

"Ya darn tootin' ya'll are!" Applejack exclaimed, the fillies forgetting she was there. "Ya'll tried to make Big Mac drink a love potion, but now Spyro went and drank it!"

"Ah'm sorry AJ." Apple Bloom said. "We just wanted Cheerilee to have a special somepony."

"Ya'll just can't force those kinds of feelings." Applejack said. "Them feelings must be mutual and be kindled. Come on your three, we're heading back to Zecora and Twilight. Maybe one of them has an idea how to reverse this."

The angry farm mare took the crusaders back to the herd, where everyone was waiting for them, but when they arrived, they noticed that Spyro wasn't with her and saw the guilty looks on the crusaders faces, instantly knowing something was wrong.

"AJ, what's wrong?" Twilight asked. "Where's Spyro?"

"Ask them." Applejack replied, leering at the fillies.

"Girls, what's going on?" Rarity asked.

"Well, we may have sorta, probably, maybe made a love potion for Big Mac and Cheerilee, but Spyro drank it instead and now he and Cheerilee are madly in love with one another." Apple Bloom replied.

"WHAT!?" They all exclaimed at the same time.

"Are you three serious!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You made a love potion and now Spyro, our herd leader, and Cheerilee are in love with one another."

"Girls, why in the wide world of Equestria would you do that!?" Twilight asked. "I tried to warn you before you ran off with the book that the love potion wasn't a potion at all, it's a love poison!"

"WHAT!?" Everyone, including the fillies shouted.

"A poison that forces love, that's very dangerous, even if it's meant to only be a little shove." Zecora said.

"How in the world is the potion the crusaders gave them poison!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Spyro can use poison, it's one of his elements! Shouldn't he be immune!?"

"Not this kind of poison Rainbow Dash." Twilight replied. "It is indeed a love potion, but its effects act a bit like poison. A prince long ago fell in love for a princess, so he created a love potion for the two of them to drink. However, the effects of the potion had negative side effects as the two ponies who drank it are then lost in each other's eyes, unable to conduct their royal duties."

"So ya mean to tell me that since these two drank it, they will be obsessed with each other and not do their jobs?" Applejack asked, glaring at Apple Bloom before returning her gaze to Twilight. "Twilight, Zecora, please tell me there is an antidote."

"I don't know." Twilight replied. "I was still reading it when the fillies took it."

"Wait, I got it right here!" Sweetie Belle said, pulling the book out.

Twilight then flipped through the pages, looking for anything when she found the section of the book that had the potion, looking it over and smiled as she found something.

"Bingo!" She said. "Here it is! Oh no."

"What, what is it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Please tell me there is an antidote." Applejack said.

"There is, but it won't be easy." Twilight said. "We need to keep them from seeing into each other's eyes for one full hour."

"An hour?" Scootaloo asked. "That doesn't seem so bad."

"Yeah, except for the part where Spyro's very protective and once we get her away from him, he'll be on the war path." Twilight replied. "We're gonna need some help because, once we get started, we need to be ready for a fight."

"A fight?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Will it really come down to that?"

"Afraid so." Twilight replied. "We're going to need somepony who is at least on par with Spyro's combat skills."

"Wait, what about Rosy!?" Pinkie suggested. "She can use the Force like Spyro, maybe she can fight him!"

"That's a good idea Pinkie." Rainbow Dash said. "Rosy is a very good fighter, and she and Spyro seem to have similar battle styles, she'd be more than a match for him."

"Well, just incase, we better be ready to slow him down if he manages to beat her." Twilight said. "Zecora, Fluttershy, Rarity, we're going to teleport Cheerilee to the farm. Keep her here, no matter what."

"You can count on us Twilight darling." Rarity said.

"Though I do not have a blade in the shape of a key, I shall do what you ask of me." Zecora said.

"AJ, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, you're with me." Twilight said. "We'll get Rosy and tell her what happened. Hopefully she might be able to help."

"What about us?" Scootaloo asked. "We cause this, we want to help."

"You can help by not helpin'!" Applejack said. "Ya'll done enough causing this! We'll handle this and discuss your punishment later."

The ponies then left, Fluttershy and her team heading to the orchard while Twilight and her team went into town to get their friend and hopefully thye might be able to stand a chance against him. However, the crusaders all looked between the two teams, feeling guilty about what they had done and all silently agreed, running into town to see if they could help. The four friends got to the library where they found Rosy meditating peacefully, letting herself go and not have a care in the world when Twilight burst in, interrupting her meditation and was about to shout at her when Twilight told her what had happened, filling her in on everything that has happened.

"Wait, let me get this straight, the Cutie Mark Crusaders made a love potion for Big Mac and Cheerilee, but Spyro interrupted that plan and drank the potion himself, putting the two of them into a phase of obsession and fake love?" Rosy asked, the four of them nodding their heads. "Great. Fantastic. I was hoping for some peace and quiet, peacefully meditating, and now this happens. I swear, the bad things always happen on my birthday."

"Wait, today's your birthday!?" Pinkie asked excitedly.

"Pinkie, we don't have time to throw a party!" Rainbow Dash said. "Rosy, think you can help us?"

"Oh, I'm gonna help you alright." Rosy replied. "And after that, I got an appointment to kick a few flanks for the ones who caused this."

The five of them left the library and started to look for the love sick ponies, asking around until they learned that the two love birds were in Sugarcube Corner, walking in and finding the two of them sharing a milkshake while gazing into each other's eyes.

"Oh, Twilight, thank goodness you're here." Mrs. Cake said. "This has been going on for hours. I didn't even know they were going out or that Cheerilee joined your herd."

"She didn't." Twilight replied. "They are victims of a love potion."

"You take the first sip cuddles-muffin." Spyro said, pushing the special milkshake that was served only on Hearts and Hooves day.

"No, you shnookie-bear." Cheerilee said, pushing the shake to him.

"Eugh, I think I'm gonna puke." Rosy said, trying her best not to loose her lunch from the cringy names they were calling each other. "Twilight, you and everyone else ready? Once the spell is cast, there is no going back."

"We're ready." Twilight replied, turning to Mr. and Mrs. Cake. "You better get someplace safe. It's about to get nasty."

Nodding her head, Mrs. Cake went upstairs and got the twins, safely going out the back way as the five ponies got their Keyblades out, ready for a fight. Twilight then charged up the magic in her horn and Cheerilee disappeared in a flash of light, leaving a panicked, love struck Spyro behind as he looked around for Cheerilee.

"Shnookums!?" Spyro asked. "Where'd you go!? Shnookie-lumps!?"

"Spyro, listen to me, you're afflicted by a love curse!" Rosy said, raising her Keyblade. "Just trust me, Cheerilee is alright, but we need to keep you two apart for an hour, or else your affliction will get worse."

"Believe me Spyro, it's for your own good." Twilight said. "Just stay here for an hour and everything will be ok."

"Where is my honey-bunny?" Spyro asked, a dark aura surrounding him as dark clouds entered his body. "Where. Is. She?"

He turned his head and his eyes flashed purple and pink for a minutes, the potion telling him to find the other afflicted pony as his eyes turned gray and his coat turned black, the orange turning dark as he called the Keyblade he gets from his dark form and his original blade.

"Oh no." Pinkie said. "I've seen that form before. EVERYPONY FOR THEMSELVES!" She then hopped into a cardboard box and closed it tightly, which Rainbow Dash went over and opened it, but found she wasn't there, left totally confused. Dark Spyro then slowly approached them, striking his Keyblades on the ground and creating sparks, how he was doing it while on wooden floors was beyond them, but he kept on approaching, forcing the girls to back away when another box shook and out of it, Pinkie popped up with her Party cannon and pulled the cord. However, instead of being hit, he turned himself into shadows and the flying force of confetti passed through him and hit Twilight, sending her flying out of the bakery and onto the street. "HEY! THAT"S CHEATING!"

She then felt her throat get contributed and was pulled out of the box, kicked in the gut and through the roof, dangling in the ceiling as stars circled her head and in front of her.

"Give me back my Shnookums!" Spyro shouted.

"Ok, new plan." Rosy said. "Get him to the streets and attack him at will."

The three ponies still standing ran outside, meeting back up with Twilight right as Spyro crashed through the door and roared out in rage, making everyone around flee from the fight while Spyro was snarling like a feral beast, eyeing each one separately.

"Ok, now what?" Rainbow Dash said, flying in the air to cut his escape.

"I don't know much about his dark form, so I'm not much help." Rosy said.

"But I saw him use it!" Pinkie said, appearing behind Rosy. "He's really hard to hit, especially when he's using his shadowy form, making hitting him like hitting air! Also, he uses the air to slice and dice, cutting everything into itty bitty, tiny little pieces while also making tornadoes and other windy magic stuff! Also, his Keyblades have that fear thingy, so if you're hit, you'll be seeing some SCARY stuff, but poison is the worst as I saw how it weakened and almost destroyed Marluxia when he tried to foal nap the twins and let me tell you, Spyro was not a happy camper! Oh, and he also has this wicked powerful attack where he turned into a giant shadowy dragon head and hits you with green poisonous flames and other kinds of evil nasty stuff."

"Ok, so avoid being hit and make sure he doesn't turn into a giant dragon head, thanks for the info." Rosy said, turning her attention to the dark prince, who roared again as dark shadowy tendrils appeared from the ground, spikes shooting out of them as they dripped poison. "Oh, we are so screwed."

Back at the orchard, Fluttershy, Rarity and Zecora were outside of the Gummi Garage where they agreed to keep Cheerilee, listening to her banging on the garage door as she pleaded to be let out.

"Please, let me out!" Cheerilee shouted, slamming her hooves on the door. "I want to see my Shmookie-bear."

"Oh please, give me a break." Rarity said. "Why do we have to listen to this dribble? You ask me, Twilight and everypony else got the better half of the deal."

"I too must agree, these names bring disgust to me." Zecora said. "But I believe we have the better deal, this way we don't have any pain to feel."

"Still, wish we didn't need to listen to this." Rarity said. "How much longer do we have to listen to this?"

"About another forty minutes." Fluttershy replied, looking to the sun. "Oh, I hope everypony is doing ok." They then heard what sounded like an explosion come from the town, looking to see a large cloud of smoke coming from it as they heard something roar out in rage. "Oh dear."

"That can't be good." Rarity said.

Back at the village, Spyro was attacking Rosy, who was doing her best to not harm her father while also making sure to dodge his attacks, sensing through the Force how dangerous the blades were as they were covered in Fear and Poison, blocking and dodging his attacks while they also exchanged spells, Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, they casted all the spells in the book to keep him distracted long enough to waste time and break the potions curse. To give Rosy some breathing room, Rainbow struck him and got his attention, flying around him in a circle of color like a herd of Zebras running on the Savana, blending into one another to confuse the predators and make it difficult to tell one zebras from another and make it difficult to be hit. However, Spyro sniffed the air and allowed his ears to turn in all directions, drowning out all sounds until he pinpointed where the cyan mare was, which she flew out oft he circle and charged him, but he flipped over her and kicked her in the side, sending her flying into a fruit stand that collapsed on top of her, coating her in fruits and debris.

Pinkie however managed to avoid being hit by him for the longest time, popping in and out of random places and blasting him with Fire Spells, most of which he dodged before charging to where she was, ready to attack her, but everytime he got close, she would disappear and reappear in a random place. Some times it was appearing out of a box, a barrel, even from underneath a tiny pebble, every time he got close, she'd disappear. However, she then made the mistake of appearing in front of a dark alleyway, which he used the shadows to phase through the shadows and tackle her, pinning her to the ground as the inside of his mouth glowed green to give her a taste of poison, but Twilight used her magic and pulled him off her, throwing him into the air and using the Thunder spell, electrocuting him, but the electricity arced across his body and he released it towards Twilight, zapping her with volts of electricity strong enough to make her skeleton show before collapsing, looking well done as smoke came off her mane.

Rosy then reengaged him and the two got into a Keyblade fight, Spyro dual wielding the blades as his attacks were savage and dangerous, snarling and roaring as he attacked, releasing globs of poison to hit her before blowing her away using the wind, knocking her onto the ground before leaping to drive his blades into her chest, but she thankfully rolled out of the way, the two standing off against one another as her father kept on growling.

"Where is my love dove!?" He demanded, his voice corrupted by his darkness.

"She's safe from you." Rosy replied. "Twilight, how much longer?"

"Ten more minutes!" She replied, using the Cure spell to heal herself.

Before Rosy could say anything else, Spyro leapt at her, roaring in rage at her and spinning like a top, unleashing a fury of attacks that Rosy barely managed to block with her own weapon, but when she tried to fight him, he knocked her weapon out of her aura, so she then got into a round of fisticuffs, Spyro dodging her punched and blows as she punched and kicked, but he just kept dodging as she reached out to her Keyblade. Applejack then got into it, swinging her blade to distract him, but he just slammed his tail into the ground and a pillar of earth slammed into her, knocking her to the ground and stunning her. Rosy then threw another punch and landed a successful hit, but it didn't do much as he wasn't fazed by the hit, but when she threw another punch, he spun to have his back to her and knelt down, letting the punch go over his shoulder before grabbing her foreleg and quickly jerked it down over his shoulder, hearing something snap as she screamed in pain before being kicked back, skidding across the ground until she stopped.

Spyro then called his shadow powers and dove into the ground and a pillar of darkness erupted out of the ground, forming into a large dragons head with red eyes and a green mouth as poisonous flames were building up in his mouth, ready to unleash his wrath, but the bell in the tower chimed, indicating the hour was up as the red eyes turned purple and pink, a heart appearing over his head, shattering to indicate the spell was broken as he lifted his head, releasing the sickly green flames into the sky, sparring Rosy.

"Oh thank Celestia." Twilight said. "It's over."

"Twilight... what's going on?" Spyro asked, still the shadowy dragon head. "What's...?" He then looked down and saw Rosy on the ground, her foreleg broken as he saw it was snapped in a weird angle, feeling his blood freeze. "ROSY!"

"Hey dad." She said, whispering in pain as she tried to not move her foreleg.

Spyro then reverted back to his original form, dismissing his dark form as he rushed over, seeing her foreleg was broken, so he gently touched her broken leg and immediately the green chaos energy in him flowing through her arm, fixing it as the green aura did its work.

"Rosy, I'm so sorry!" Spyro said. "I...I..."

"Dad, don't worry." She replied, still whispering ash tie friends approached. "The potion made you do this, I don't blame you for it."

"Still doesn't make me feel any better." Spyro said, feeling mortified and terrible for what he did. "Please tell me that I didn't do anything that will comeback and bite me later."

"Don't worry Spyro, we got to ya just in time." Applejack replied. "Twilight teleported Cheerilee into your Garage. She won't be able to get out no matter how hard she tries. Though, Ah think we should get her out of there."

After fixing Rosy's leg, fully healing it, they made their way to Sweet Apple Acres, where Cheerilee was released from the garage and was given a full explanation for what had happened, which she was equally mortified as Spyro after being told what they called each other and what their friends needed to do to keep them away from each other.

"Oh Rosy, I'm so sorry you had to go through that." Cheerilee said. "Thank you for doing that."

"It's no problem Cheerilee." Rosy replied. "I'm just glad it's over now."

"Same here." Spyro said. "I just hope the fillies learned their lesson."

"We have." Scootaloo said. "We shouldn't have meddled in the affairs of other ponies."

"Yeah, we should let ponies to their special somepony for themselves." Sweetie Belle said. "We're sorry."

"Yeah, sorry Spyro." Apple Bloom said. "Sorry Ms. Cheerilee."

"Well, thankfully no pony got seriously injured." Spyro said. "And those who did, I was able to heal them, thankfully."

"And you can think about how sorry you are by doing Spyro's chores at Sweet Apple Acres." Cheerilee said. "Does that seem fair to you Spyro?"

"More than fair." Spyro replied, the fillies looking nervous. "Don;t worry, you won't be lifting anything heavy. Just collecting some baskets of apples, nothing more." He then walked over to his garage to finish something up, but the fillies looked very nervous. "Now if you excuse me, I need to... AHHHHHHHHH!"

Everypony watched as Spyro fell into a trap hole the fillies had made at the front entrance to the garage, looking in to make sure he was ok.

"Spyro... you ok?" Scootaloo asked, nervous about the answer.

"SCOOTALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Spyro shouted, scaring the fillies and making them run away.

After getting out of the hole the fillies dug to make sure Cheerilee didn't get out if she ever did get out of the garage, he had the fillies fill the hole back in and put them to work doing the chores he was given for the day, making them take baskets full of apples to the kart while also cleaning up the farm house and having them try and clean the pigs up, which was impossible as the pigs would dirty themselves up, leaving the fillies dirty, sweaty, and exhausted. As night came, the fillies went straight to bed, feeling exhausted from having to do Spyro's chores while Spyro was pulling the kart to the barn to store the apples to be sold later on, but when he opened the door, his jaw dropped as his face turned completely red, seeing the mares all wearing pink and white socks with little heart brooches in their manes, including Rainbow Dash, who she and Fluttershy looked most embarrassed as their faces were as red as his.

"Told you you'd like it." Rarity said, fluttering her eyes at him.

"H-h-h-holy moly." Spyro said, feeling his heart beat against his chest. "T-t-this wasn't what I expected."

"Well we wanted to show ya how much we love ya." Applejack said, her mane done neatly with roses and daisies in it."

"You coulda just said you loved me." Spyro said. "But honestly, I like this a whole lot more!"

"I hoped you did." A female voice said, Spyro looking to his right and his wings immediately became erect and his eyes widened in total surprise. Right next to the door was Princess Luna, wearing the same pink and white socks, wearing the silver necklace with dark blue sapphires and onyx gems on it, her mane sparkling like the stars of the night sky and with the same red roses, but with pink and white roses as well, smiling at him. "I'd hate to think I came all this way for nothing."

"L-L-L-L-Luna!" Spyro said in complete shock, a trickle of blood coming down his nose as his heart and mind went into overdrive. "W-w-w-what are-"

"Well, when I got your package, wishing me a Hearts and Hooves day, beautiful flowers and a wonderful necklace, I wanted to do something special for you for Hearts and Hooves day." She replied, gently caressing his cheek with her hoof. "So, I came here to keep you company for the night. But when Twilight told me what they had planned, I couldn't say no to it."

She then turned around and walked away, using her tail to pull him Alaina, gently moving her tail up his chest and his neck until it was underneath his chin, Spyro following her as birds chirped around him, lost in a love sick gaze as he was floating in the air, following her all the way to the herd as the barn doors closed, Hearts and Hooves day ending on a good note, despite having drank a love potion by accident, everything turned out to be a good day.
