Chapter 83: Age of Ultron Part 1: Retrieve the Scepter

The next week was very uneventful as nothing seemed to have been happening and everyone was going about their daily tasks, doing their jobs and over all having a very good time. Spyro however was very happy with himself as he took some of the girls on a few dates and kept them busy with their training regiments, which they were getting better at using their Keyblades and be able to handle small groups of enemies on their own without needing his help or anyone else's help, but Fluttershy was still nervous about fighting, but was getting better with handling herself in a sticky situation. The group, including Rosy, were in the training room where Spyro was having them go through a battle simulation in Radiant garden, which he called 'Defend the Castle' where the girls would need to fight off several waves of Heartless to make sure they didn't get to the flag and take it, saying that if one Heartless got through, the battle was over.

The group were working in tangent with one another, Rainbow Dash flying through massive hordes of Heartless, taking out entire lines in their army while Pinkie popped in and out from random spots, sometimes from underneath rocks, sometimes from behind other heartless, but most of the time she was bouncing around, laughing and enjoying herself as she was in the simulation. Twilight, Rarity, and Rosy were working together in the rear, preventing Heartless from coming up the ridge, using their magic to blast and incinerate the heartless while using Thundaga to electrocute them if they were all grouped up, limiting their movement and how they got up the ridge. Fluttershy and Applejack were in the middle, the two mares working together to strike down the heartless, Applejack taking care of the big ones while Fluttershy took on the smaller ones, striking down as many as they could before they got past them. After what felt like an eternity, the last of the Heartless was defeated and everyone was out of breath, grouping up in the center as they won.

"That... was awesome!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We kicked butt!"

"You said it sister!" Pinkie said, using her mane to wipe the sweat off her head. "We totally had that in the bag!"

"With how we coordinated, we're sure to pass this time." Twilight said.

"Simulation complete." AIVA announced, the girls all excited to hear how they did. "Flag... captured."

"WHAT!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "Are you serious!? We destroyed them all! What do you mean the flag was captured!?"

"Because you missed one." Spyro replied.

The girls looking to him and saw he was next to the flag. And what was holding the flag was a single Shadow, who was shaking his arms up and down as it held the flag, showing how triumphant it was and making the girls groan.

"Of course it had to be a Shadow." Applejack said. "Them varmints are easy to loose track of in a fight."

"I concur, they are sneaky." Rarity said. "At least it wasn't a Stealth Sneak that got past us this time."

"You girls are learning their names, that's good." Spyro said, walking down to them. "And AJ is right, Shadows are opportunists. They see an opportunity to attack or slip past ya, they'll take it. Hence, why it's important to keep an eye on your surroundings."

"Yeah, we know." Rainbow Dash said. "You've been drilling us about that for weeks now."

"And I will keep on drilling it to you until you are able to watch your surroundings and not get caught off guard." Spyro said. "But I will say, you girls did far better this time than the last attempt. Your skills are improving and your coordination is something to be proud of. Keep at it, and you'll be Keyblade masters in no time." A moment later, a small blue light blinked while an alarm went off, letting them know that someone was calling them. "Master yen Sid is contacting us."

"Why's he calling us!?" Pinkie asked. "Is he calling to throw us a surprise party!? Oh, or is he calling to tell you you're ready to become a master!"

"I don't think I'm quite ready just yet Pinkie." Spyro said. "Let's see what he wants." A moment later, an image of Master yen Sid appeared in the middle of the room, everyone grouped up right as holographic images of Sora and Riku appeared, all three seemed to be sitting in chairs while he and his friends remained standing. "Master Yen Sid, how may we help you sir?"

"Spyro, I have disturbing news for you." Yen Sid said. "The World of Marvels is under attack."

"Maleficent and the Heartless!?" Pinkie asked.

"Worse." Riku replied. "May and her Grublin army."

"We intercepted a large convoy of Grublin ships on their way to the World of Marvels." Sora said. "We managed to destroy some of them, but the rest have already jumped to that universe. It's unclear what they want, but your guess is as good as ours."

"The Infinity Stones." Spyro answered. "Now Malefor is after them."

"How many of these stone are there?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Six in total." Spyro replied. "The Power Stone was one of them, but it's with the Nova Corp, so it should be safe. If they're heading to the World of Marvels, then they're after the Time and Mind stones."

"Time?" Twilight asked. "Mind?"

"The Time Stone lets you manipulate time without consequence." Spyro answered. "Let's you rewind time, stop it, create a temporal loop, and even lets you see the future. The Mind Stone is also worrisome as it can let you manipulate minds to your will, create energy beams, and even make you one of the smartest people in the universe, unlocking your minds full potential."

"So in other words, we can't allow them to get these stones." Applejack summarized. "How should we proceed?"

"Spyro, you and your friends will go to the World of Marvels and protect the stones as you are more familiar with it." Yen Sid answered. "If they are after the stones, you must defend them, make sure they are safe."

"You can count on us sir." Spyro said. "We're on our way."

"Be very cautious Spyro." Yen Sid said. "If May get's at least one of these stones, then it puts every world in existence in grave jeopardy."

"Don't worry sir, we'll be careful." Spyro said. "We'll stop May from getting the stones."

The transmission ended and the group walked to the center of the room, the elevator moving down and took them all the way to the area where his ships were stored and everyone immediately rushed to the Dragon's Crest, running up the boarding ramp and heading straight for the cockpit. After everyone was seated, the conveyor took the ship out of it's hangar bay and took it straight to the elevator, moving the ship up and into the garages hangar, the engines coming to life and flew out of the garage and into the worlds upper atmosphere, setting the coordinates for the World of Marvels, going into slip space and passing through the passage way until they reached the world they were needing to get to, but when they arrived, they found that the world is covered in darkness, indicating that it was under siege.

"Oh dear, oh my!" Fluttershy said. "Are we too late?"

"No, we got here just in time." Spyro replied. "From what my scanners are picking up, the Grublins are definitely there, as is the Heartless. And they're fighting one another."

"Oh, is that good?" Flusstershy asked.

"You bet that's good Fluttershy darling." Rarity replied. "It means we won't have to do a lot of fighting."

"Maybe, but we still have a mission to do girls." Spyro said. "Right now, we need to figure out which of the Infinity Stones is in danger. AIVA, contact SHIELD and let them know what's coming."

"Yes sir, one moment." AIVA replied, attempting a connection but then stopped. "Sir, SHIELD is no longer there. A group called Hydra has infiltrated and destroyed it."

"Shoot, not good." Spyro said, turning to look at the girls. "Without SHIELD, this world is in serious risk. Not to mention Hydra now has one of the Infinity Stones."

"Wait, they have one?" Twilight asked. "How?"

"Loki's scepter, it holds the Mind Stone." Spyro answered, surprising the girls. "And now that Hydra has the scepter, they will try to study it and use it."

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go get these guys and get the Mind Stone!" Rainbow Dash suggested.

"Agreed." Spyro said, turning to face the screens on his ship. "AIVA, lock course for Sokovia, and have your scanners on the look out for the Avengers. It's time to catch up with some old friends."

The ship set course for the research base in Sokovia, where Hydra was stationed at and who were conducting tests on the scepter to see how its power works. In Sokovia, the base was on high alert as the Avengers were attacking the base, Black Widow and Barton having taken one of the enemy jeeps and were driving through the enemy defenses while the archer was using his arrows to take down enemy combatants while Thor was going through the towers and taking down the soldiers up there, clearing the way for his friends. Steve Rodger's was on a motor bike and was using his shield to knock some of the enemy soldiers on the ground down, going through enemy defensive lines with ease while also knocking down some of their defenses. For the enemy vehicles, Tony was flying around in his suit of armor, blasting and destroying the vehicles right as Thor knocked them into the air, followed closely by Hulk, who took the vehicles and threw them into other enemy vehicles, destroyed them as they made their way to the enemy research base.

As they got pass the first line and past the barriers used against tanks, Tony destroyed a bunker and flew towards the enemy research base, managing to avoid the enemies heavy anti-air cannons when he ran into an energy barrier, blocking him.

"Shit!" Tony said.

"Language." Steve said. "JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?"

"The central building appears to be protected by some sort of energy shield." JARVIS answered. "Additionally, sensors are picking up a small horde of heartless inside of the building, but they do not appear to be helping the Hydra operatives. Struckers technology is well beyond any Hydra base we have taken. There are also a few Heartless signatures inside of the base, but they do not seem to be helping the Hydra personnel."

Thor then flew down from the sky and engaged the enemy Hydra foot soldiers, going through them while avoiding being hit by Hydras energy bolts.

"Loki's scepter must be here!" Thor said, throwing his hammer and knocking down a few enemy soldiers. "Strucker couldn't mount a defense without it. At least ong last."

Natasha was going through more enemy soldiers, taking out some of their defenses and using her combat skills to take out the enemy soldiers until she reached a trench, finally having a bit of breathing room.

"At long last is lasting a little long boys." She said, taking down a torrent defense point.

"Yeah, I think we might have lost the element of surprise." Barton said, using an explosive arrow to destroy a tank.

At the research base, Iron Man was flying over head and taking out Hydra defenders that came out of the base, going through the air taking out any and all soldier he could see,

"Wait, hold on a second, is anyone else gonna deal with tat fact that cap said language?" Tony said in a joking manner.

"I know." Steve said, riding through a hail of cannon fire before flipping over his bike and throwing it into an incoming jeep, taking it out instantly. "It just slipped out." A second later, the ground erupted and from it a Grublin troll pulled itself from the ground and roared, forcing Captain America to get his shield out and roll out of the way of its fists. "JARVIS, what am I looking at here?"

"Unknown sir." JARVIS replied. "The creature does not appear to be a Heartless, nor is it a Nobody or an Unversed. It seems to be primarily made up of rocks and plants with some kind of energy inside of it providing it with power."

"So we're dealing with some unknown enemies." Tony said, being chased by flying red creatures known as Grublin Wyverns, dark energy being shot out as they chased him. "Seems Spyro failed to mention these things!"

"Maybe he didn't know about them." Natasha said, taking on some Grublin Flies. "At least we can take them down."

Steve was engaged with the Troll, avoiding it's heavy attacks as he threw his shield to do some damage, but all it did was annoy the Troll as the shield did some damage, but one swing ended up hitting the captain, knocking him to the ground and was about to slam and crush him, lifting it's fist right as the captain rolled out of the way, avoiding being crushed and raised his shield to throw it again, but the troll the blew up in a cloud of dark smoke and energy, leaving him speechless.

"Thanks Tony, I owe you." Steve said.

"Yeah, cap, that wasn't me." Tony said, turning and using mini missiles to destroy the Wyverns. "I have my own problems here dealing with these things." he was about to use his repulsers to destroy a few more that were heading their way, but a rainbow streak came from out of nowhere and sliced through them in one hit, destroying them and leaving Tony surprised, wondering what had happened until he looked to his left and saw a familiar cyan colored Pegasus, smiling. "Cap, I think I know who saved your bacon."

Before he could say anything, everyone looked up as a dark shadow covered the battlefield and saw the Dragon's Crest, opening fire on the grublins and releasing multiple Meteor missile fire on the larger Grublins, mowing through them right as Spyro and his friends leapt out of the ships loading bay and rushed the grublins, Spyro, Rosy and Twilight rushing straight ahead, unleashing an assortment of spells and Force based attacks, going through the Grublins like it was no tomorrow while Fluttershy and Rarity went to Natasha and gave her some breathing room as they took on the Grublin Flies, the Black Widow pleased to see some old friends join the party. Applejack and Pinkie Pie then went over to Steve and helped him with some of the remaining Grublins that had surrounded him, Pinkie popping in and out of random spots from small rocks and from behind trees to popping out of the gold made by enemy fire, taking sown the enemy as Steve threw his shield, taking down several Grublins at a time.

"Did you guys miss us?" Spyro asked, leaping up and punching a Troll, disintegrating it in one punch.

"Spyro, glad you and your friends could join the party." Tony said, he and Rainbow Dash taking out more of the Wyverns. "Was wondering when you'd come back and visit."

"Wish it was under better circumstances." Spyro replied. "What are we dealing with?"

"Hydra has taken down SHIELD." Steve said, shield bashing a Grublin Fly before throwing his shield and taking out a few others, catching it as it returned like a boomerang. "They were among our ranks. They tried using the Helicarrier to destroy the avengers and other enhanced people who were a threat to them."

"Who's Hydra?" Rainbow Dash asked, flying straight through multiple Wyverns and using the Thundaga spell to destroy more of them.

"They're a group of people who served the Nazi's back in World War 2." Spyro replied, using Strike Raid on another Troll before kicking right through it. "Their purpose was to make powerful weapons to use against the Allies, but turned against their masters and went their own way. They followed a scientist, who was referred to as Red Skull. These guys are very dangerous and very nasty."

"Yes, we could guess that darling." Rarity said, using the Blizzard spell to freeze more Grublins. "And from what Spyro said, there's a good chance they have the scepter."

"You guessed correctly white unicorn." Thor said, taking on three trolls at once, busting through them with a single lightning strike. "It's here."

"The grublins are after the scepter." Spyro said. "They want it for their master. We can't let them have it."

"Agreed." Thor said. "We need to get into that research base."

At one of the bunkers, Barton was hiding behind a tree, using it for cover before he took an arrow and notched it into his bow, releasing the arrow and waiting for it to blow up, but it didn't looking to see what went wrong, so he got another arrow out and was ready to release it, but something knocked him to the ground and he looked up, seeing a guy wearing a track suit with silver hair smiling at him.

"You didn't see that coming?" He asked jokingly.

He then ran away before Barton could get another arrow ready to hit him with, standing in the open for too long as the bunkers main cannon grazed him in the side, knocking him down to the ground. Natasha looked over and saw he was hit, running over while Fluttershy and Rarity kept their focus on the Grublins.

"Clints been hit!" Natasha said.

At the same time, something rushed past Steve and tried to knock him down, but when he was hit, he flipped over and landed on is feet, looking around to see what hit him when he saw a silver blur.

"We got an enhanced on the field." Steve said.

"Can somebody deal with that bunker?" Natasha asked. A moment later, Hulk came out of no where and rammed through the bunker, destroying it and going after the Hydra soldiers still fighting them. "Thank you."

"Stark, we need to get inside." Steve said, taking on

"Closing in." Tony said, he and Rainbow Dahs flying down and taking out a few Hydra soldiers. "JARVIS, you see a power source for that shield?"

"Doesn't populate above the north tower." JARVIS replied.

"Great, I want to poke it with something." Tony said. He and Rainbow Dash flew in the air, which Tony unleashed a few repulser rounds before releasing a Bunker buster, the projectile going through the ground and hitting the generator feeding the force field. "Draw bridge is down people."

Thor brought the hammer down on the ground and knocked down more Hydra agents and taking out more of the Grublins, looking over to see Steve and the two earth ponies running to him.

"The enhanced?" Thor asked.

"He's a blur." Steve replied. "All the new players we've face, I've never seen this before. In fact, I still haven't."

"Clints hurt pretty badly, we're going to need an evac." Natasha said.

"I can get Barton onto the jet." Thor said. "The sooner we're gone, the better. You and Stark secure the scepter."

"Copy that." Steve replied, looking over and seeing a line of enemy soldiers heading their way.

"Looks like they're lining up for us." Thor said, getting his hammer ready.

"They're excited." Steve replied.

Steve raised his shield up to Thor and the god of thunder hit his hammer onto the shield, creating a shockwave that knocked all the enemy soldiers down and destroyed the tank that was with them.

"Find the scepter." Thor said, taking off into the air.

"And for gosh sake, watch your language." Tony said, making Rainbow Dahs and Pinkie laugh.

"That's not going away anytime soon." Steve said.

"What did he mean by watch yer language?" Applejack asked, using the fire spell of a Wyvern.

"Tony cussed and I accidentally said language." Steve said. "Now he's going to be joking about that for a while."

"Hey, honestly, if mah sister said such language, Ah'd clean her mouth out with a bar of soap." Applejack said, making Steve smile.

At the research base, many of the men inside were busy deleting information that had acquired from their research, but a moment later, Tony came flying in, closely followed by Rainbow Dash, but she saw their weapons and hid behind Tony as soon as the opened fire, their bullets deflecting off his armor.

"Guys, stop." Tony said. "We gotta talk this through." The shoulders suddenly had some mini inside launchers come out and fired their payload into the solders, dropping them instantly. "Good talk."

"No it wasn't." One of them replied, still alive, but in pain from being hit in the leg.

Tony smiled to himself and then came down form the air, landing on the ground and coming out of the suit of armor, placing it on sentry mode right as Spyro came in through the window that Tony crashed through, landing on the ground right as Rainbow Dash did, looking around the room while Tony got busy copying the files to analyze later on.

"This can't be it." Spyro said. "This can't be the entire lab."

"I have to agree." Tony said. "There has to be more to it."

"Guys, we've taken care of the last of Hydra's thugs." Natasha said. "We're locked down out here. Though we had to hide the ponies from the local authorities. Didn't want to explain why we have a bunch of talking ponies to them."

"Good call Nat." Steve said. "I believe it's time to get to banner, give him a lullaby."

"Fluttershy, go with her." Spyro said. "He likes and trusts you, he'll listen."

"S-sure Spyro." Fluttershy replied.

Spyro then looked around and felt a disturbance in the Force, moving to the wall just right of Tony.

"We know you're hiding more than this." Tony said. "Hey JARVIS, give me an IR scan of the room real quick."

A wave of red light began to scan the room, immediately draping the room in red right as Spyro reached the wall where he felt the disturbance.

"I am reading steal reinforcement int he wall to your left sir." JARVIS said. "And an air current."

"I sensed it as well." Spyro said. "200 bucks says it's a secret door."

"Why would you need a bunch of Moose's here ?" Rainbow Dash asked, Tony looking at her and then to Spyro.

"Please tell me she's joking." Tony said.

"Sorry Tony, their currency is gold coins called bits." Spyro replied, pushing on the wall to reveal a secret entrance to another section of the lab. "And what have we here? I secret entrance."

The three of them then went down into the secret entrance, following the dark pathway as only dim lights were around to light the path way towards whatever was at the end of the passageway. Out at the battlefield, Hulk was smashing someone of the already destroyed weapons and vehicles, wanting to continue the fight when Natasha and Fluttershy walked up, the lemon yellow mare behind Natasha as they approached Hulk, still smashing random things as they came closer.

"Hey there big guy." Natasha said, getting his attention. "Suns getting low. Time to head back." He grunted and growled like a wild animal, not fully listening to her, but she just knelt down and smiled. "And... I think there's someone here who'd like to see you again big guy."

She turned her head and from behind her, Fluttershy walked out, smiling at Hulk and when he saw her, he calmed down, recognizing her as she approached.

"Hi Hulk." She said. "I'm sorry that it's been so long. I just couldn't find the time."

Hulk just smiled, happy to see his friend as he sat down, letting the lemon colored Pegasus walk up to him and then gently picked her up, gently petting her as he was very happy to see her again.

"Fluttershy..." Hulk said. "Hulk... happy... to see... friend."

"And I'm happy to see you too Hulk." Fluttershy said., snuggling up against his chest. "Been a while, hasn't it. And I'd like to catch up with you, but we need you to calm down, the fight is over. We can catch up then."

Natasha walked up to them, slowly walking up and raising her hand, which Hulk did the same and the two reached out their hands, Natasha gently moving her hand down his arm all the way to his hand, which seemed to calm him down as he soon started to turn back to Bruce banner, holding onto Fluttershy as he smiled at her, changing back to the game scientist, who seemed shaken, but also seemed happy to be back, hugging Fluttershy as a way to comfort himself after the fight and after being the hulk. In the catacombs, Spyro, Tony and Rainbow Dash were walking through the passage way, following it to who knows where when they finally reached the end, finding it to be a colossal room full of tech and full of containers that had different kinds of Heartless, Shadows, Soldiers, Air Pirates, a large variety of Heartless that either survived the fight against the Keyblade warrior and Avenger team up or were caught while attacking them. But the biggest attraction to them was the massive, un corrupted Leviathan suspended in the air by massive support beams specially made to hold it.

"Holy Frijole." Spyro said. "These guys were busy little beavers."

"No kidding." Rainbow Dash said, landing next to him. They looked around and found operating tables that had un corrupted Chitauri soldiers and some of Starks Iron Legion drones, but she then looked past them and saw what they were looking for, Loki's staff. "There it is. Loki's staff."

Spyro and Stark looked to where she was pointing to and saw the scepter, Spyro patting her head, letting her know she did good as they approached the scepter, which was suspended in an energy field.

"Thor, we've got eyes on the prize." Tony said.

A moment later, while they had their backs turned, a woman came up behind Tony and the veins in her hands started to glow, releasing a small red energy that went into his head and he immediately started to act weird, Spyro pinking up on it as he seemed to look over and think the leviathan came to life, before collapsing to the ground in complete shock as if he saw someone he cared about dying.

"What's wrong with him?" Rainbow Dash asked, watching as Tony started to wig out.

"Something's wrong." Spyro said, turning around, but saw no one. "Stay on guard."

A moment later, Tony came back to his senses, looking sweaty as if he saw something traumatic, looking around as he took a deep breath.

"Tony, you ok?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Yeah, just... give me a minute." Stark said, standing up straight and reaching his hand out, one of his gloves flying over and attaching itself to him. "Right, let's leash this puppy and get out of here."

"On it." Spyro said, walking up to the scepter.

He slowly approached the scepter and looked it over, Stark following close behind to take it, but Spyro beat him to it and grabbed the scepter, pulling it out of the field without any negative effects to himself, but as soon as he took it, he could feel the stones power coming from inside the scepter, the room going dark as the other Spyro emerged from the darkness, the Mind Stone on his chest as he looked at him.

"The mind is the most powerful thing in the universe, young prince." His other self said. "We use about ten percent of its over all power without even thinking about it. Some of the greatest minds in the universe use more of the brain, granting them enhanced intelligence. But the Mind Stone can unlock its full potential if used correctly. Be careful with how you use its power young prince, for if the minds power is unlocked, all sorts of abilities are also unlocked."

Without another word, the room returned to normal and the other Spyro disappeared, leaving him with his friends, who were watching him with great concern as he was holding the staff.

"Spyro, you in there pal?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You're kind of scaring me a bit."

"Yeah, yeah I'm ok." Spyro replied, reaching back and attacking the scepter to his back as his eyes turned back to normal. "Let's get out of this place. Reminds me too much of the Dead Space trilogy."

"Dead Space?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"One of the video games I play." Spyro replied, walking past them as they followed. "Believe me, if you want to have nightmares, that's the game you want to play."

"Oh yeah, let me at those!" Rainbow Dash said, pumping her hooves in the air.

A small distance away, the two enchanted people were watching them, the guy wanting to rush over and take the staff away from them, but his companion stopped him.

"We just gonna let them take it?" He asked.

"Patients brother, patients." The girl replied. "We'll get another chance later. But I'm more interested in Starks companions, where did they come from? And who are they?"

On the avengers jet, Spyro had put the scepter into the containment unit that his friends brought along, making sure it was secure before they took off. Along the way, Spyro and his friends were discussing what to do with the scepter and how they were going to handle all the grublins and Heartless that were on planet, both sides wanting to get their hands on the Scepter as it held the Mind Stone in it. After a while, they reached Tony's tower, which was now the Avengers tower, where the Avengers got together and live there, waiting for word about something to happen and they would be there to prevent it, but with hydra beaten, there wasn't much of anything keeping them together. After getting clearance to land, Spyro landed on the landing platform after Stark parked the jet inside of the building, the mobile landing platform parking his ship next to the jet as a medical team took Barton away to get himself patched up, followed by Thor who was carrying the scepter.

"Spyro, good to see you again." Thor said.

"You too Thor." Spyro replied. "Glad we got there in the knick of time, otherwise you would still be hunting for that thing."

"Yeah, all things considered, I'm glad to help anyway I could." Thor said. "Planning on sticking around? Stark is planning a celebratory revelry before I head back to Asgard with the scepter."

"Aw, you're leaving so soon!?" Pinkie asked, popping up behind the god of thunder, spooking him. "I wanted to throw you guys a 'Glad to see you again' party! I even got the invitations right here!"

She reached into her saddle bag and confetti shot out of it, scaring everyone as she pulled out a bunch of invitations.

"Well, I for one am more than happy to attend the celebration." Rarity said. "It''l be good to spend some time with old friends before we have to continue with our mission."

"You're on a mission?" Tony asked, he and Steve coming out. "Whatcha got going on?"

"Well, the Grublins are after the scepter and one other artifact that can grant immense power." Spyro replied. "Thankfully, I already know where it is and know it's safe. The only one that wasn't safe was the scepter as it was in Hydra's hands."

"Wait, you're saying the Time Stone is safe and sound!?" Rainbow Dash asked, getting Thors attention. "Then, since we just rescued the scepter, preventing a complete disaster, that's mission accomplished, right?"

"Mostly, yes." Spyro replied. "We just need to make sure it is safe and then we can go back home."

"Aw yeah, easiest mission ever!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Well, if that's all we got to do, why don't get goin' now?" Applejack asked. "Save the hassle of waiting?"

"What, and miss a celebratory party to congratulate everyone and to say hi to you guys?" Tony asked. "Come on, you got to stay for at least one night, unwind a bit."

"Yeah Applejack, it's rude to turn down a party!" Pinkie said, appearing out of Tony's pocket, confusing him. "Besides, we got lots of time to make sure it's safe. Loosen up a little and have some fun!"

Pinkie then jumped out of Tony's pocket and did a random dance where she moved like she had no joints, confusing everyone who didn't know Pinkie that well as they watched her head spin a few 360's and her joints moved like the Hatter when he did his Flutterwacken. They then looked to Spyro, who indicated for them not to question it and just move on.

"Anyway, we got an idea on our enhanced combatants." Steve said, taking a tablet and showing the two people who were at the base. "They're known as Wanda and Piedro Maximoff. Apparently they were orphaned when they were ten after a shell destroyed their apartment building. Apparently from what was gathered, the brother is very fast and the sister can mess with your mind. And, here's the weird part, they volunteered for Strucker's experiments."

"So they willingly allowed themselves to be experimented on." Spyro said, scratching his chin. "Wonder why?"

"Don't know, but I wouldn't dwell on that." Tony said. "Right now, Banner and I are going to run a few tests on the scepter before Thor takes it to Asgard, so that means we got a few days with him before he leaves."

"Then you got a few days with us as well then." Spyro said, the ponies looking to him. "We aren't leaving until we make sure that scepter is safely on Asgard."

"In that case, let me show you to your rooms." Tony said, looking to everyone before noticing Rosy. "I'm sorry, it seems you have failed to introduce me to your new friend."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Spyro said, walking over and kneeling next to Rosy, ruffling her hair a bit and making her laugh. "Gentlemen, this is Rosy. She's another Keyblade bearer."

"Seriously, another one?" Tony asked. "Dude, you Keyblade guys are coming out of the wet-works."

"Hey, when the Keyblade chooses a master, we answer the call." Spyro replied. "Anyway, might as well get settle in girls, we're going to be here a while. Might as well live in style."

Everyone was excited to be able to relax for a while, following their friends into the tower where they got to see the inside of it, a multitude of different rooms and set ups, some tech like with labs and computer rooms, others more subtle and luxurious where everyone got to enjoy themselves, relax and let go of all their worries. As the girls were walking around, getting to know the tower layout, Spyro decided to pop into the lab and see what the two scientists were doing, finding that there was an orange orb in the middle of the room as he walked in.

"Stark, Banner." Spyro said.

"Ah Spyro, just in time." Tony said. "Can you guess what this is?"

"Judging by the culmination of data and information, I'm guessing that's JARVIS." Spyro replied.

"You would be correct sir." JARVIS responded.

"He was once only a natural language UI, but now he runs the Iron Legion and runs more of the business besides Pepper." Tony said. "You see, I was looking into how Strucker got so inventive.." He then walked over to the staff and held a small tablet up to it, turning and flicking the tablet to reveal what appeared to be a brain, getting both his and Banners attention. "This... this looks like-"

"Like it's thinking." Banner said, finishing Starks sentence. "But, this isn't a human mind. These look like neurons firing."

"And in Struckers lab, Spyro and I saw some very advance robotics." Tony said. "He deep sixed the data, but I'm guessing he was knocking on a door, a very particular kind of door."

"Artificial Intelligence." Spyro said. "Much like AIVA."

"Exactly." Tony said, looking to Bruce before looking back to him. "Spyro, we've been working on something for a while now, something to protect humanity, but couldn't never get it right, until now. This could be the key to finishing Ultron."

As soon as Tony said that, a shiver went up his spine, having seen the movie, he knew it was a horrible idea and wanted to tell him to avoid the disaster, but that would be meddling and would have disaster out effect, but the rules didn't say he couldn't try and warn them off.

"Tony, I've seen enough movies and done enough of my own testing into A.I. to know that's a horrible idea." Spyro said.

"Yeah, but Spyro, think about it..." Tony said, getting excited for the possibilities. "If we can harness this power and apply it to my Iron legion protocol-"

"That's a man-sized if Tony." Bruce said.

"Yeah, not to mention idiotic." Spyro added. "With AIVA, it was trial and error, and having to destroy a few out of control robots, the result is the same. Man messes with A.I., A.I. learns and adapts, learns all about human history, and immediately goes to kill or exterminate them, seeing us as a flawed species."

"Yeah, but what if we could do it?" Tony asked. "I mean, the next time an alien threat arrives, and trust me, they will come back, they couldn't get past the bouncer at the club."

"Tony, you really need to watch the Terminator movies." Spyro said. "Or maybe the one with the killer mall robots, maybe then it might deter you from doing something you might regret later on. If you're going to try this, you're on your own. Just know I'm here to bust it up if it goes haywire."

"Alright scaredy cat, be that way." Tony said. "Hey, you and your friends going to be here this Saturday for the party, right?"

"Wouldn't miss it." Spyro replied.

He then left the two scientists to do whatever they were doing, wanting nothing to do with Ultrons creation and then went to his room, which was close enough to the girls and sat down on the bed, taking in a deep breath before he took out his tablet and pressed a few keys, getting Yen Sid on the screen.

"Master Yen Sid, we've arrived on the World of Marvels, and not a moment too soon." Spyro said. "The Mind Stone has been secured from a known terrorist group known as Hydra, who were using it to create some kind of machinery."

"And the Time Stone?" Yen Sid asked.

"It's with the Ancient One." Spyro replied. "Also known as the Sorcerer Supreme. It should be safe and sound with her, but we'll be checking in on her within the next few days or so. I want to make sure the Mind Stone is safe and sound on Asgard before I go and check on the second Infinity Stone."

"Very well young prince." Yen Sid said. "But remain vigilant. May and her Grublins will still try and go after the stone, even if you have it in your protection."

Spyro nodded his head and ended the transmission, closing the tablet and lying back on the bed, knowing what was coming and knowing he needed to be ready for it when it happened. Over the next couple of days, everything was mostly peaceful, no Grublins and no Heartless in sight, which was worrying for the young prince, but he put it in the back of his mind, focusing on how he could take on Ultron when he arrived, coming up with new battle tactics and stances that could turn the tables in a fight if the need arose. But when Saturday came, that was when he allowed himself the one night he needed to have fun and unwind a bit, getting to chat with some of the guests, play a few party games, both from Tony and Pinkie set up as the ponies helped out with some of the decorations and setting everything up, which the guests were surprised to see a bunch of talking ponies, but just chalked it up to something Tony came up with to liven the place up, which Spyro was thankful for as they partied on and on and on for quite a while. After a while, all the party guests left Avengers Tower, some going home tipsy, others going home perfectly fine, but mostly, everyone was tipsy, even one man who tried some of Thors one thousand year old drink went home passed out or about to pass out.

After everyone was gone, the Avengers and the Keyblade warriors all gathered around a coffee table where Thor's hammer was sitting, even Tony's friend Rhodey Rhodes, who was surprised to see a lot of talking ponies, but accepted them in the end and had a great time chatting with them. Everyone still enjoying themselves and having laughs and telling stories, even Spyro was enjoying himself, though he didn't have any drinks, he still had fun until the subject of Thor's hammer came up and everything turned into a challenge.

"So Thor, what's the deal with your hammer?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Why do you seem to lift it without effort while others struggle?"

"It's a trick." Barton replied. "It's gotta be a trick.

"Oh, it's much more than that." Thor said.

"Oh please, whoever be worthy shall have to the power." Barton said, everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. "Whatever man, it's a trick."

"Please, be my guest." Thor said. "If it's a trick, try and lift the Mjolnir."

Everyone looked to Barton, who was surprised to be given a challenge like this.

"Seriously?" Barton asked.

"Yeah, come on, get up there." Tony said, Barton getting up and moving to Thor's hammer. "You've had a tough week and we won't hold it against you if you can't lift it up."

Barton just smiled, confident he will lift it up, but as soon as he grabbed the handle and tried lifting it, he struggled with it, chuckling as he gave up.

"How do you do it?" He asked.

"No silent judgement." Tony said.

"Alright smart guy, why don't you try it?" Barton asked.

Everyone then started egging Stark on, all wanting to see him try and lift it, which he took the challenge and went over, asking if he lifted it, he'd rule Asgard, which Thor said he would, so he tried lifting the hammer, finding it to be impossible to do, so he went over to his suit and got the glove, trying to lift it that way when he had Rhodes helping, both with their suits armor gloves on trying to lift the thing, but not having any luck. Bruce then tried to lift it, yelling out and pretending he was going to transform, which no one was amused by it before Steve walked up to give it a try, who everyone, even Thor, was surprised because they half expected Steve to lift the hammer. They then turned to Spyro, everyone egging him to give it a go, so he just chuckled and walked up to the hammer, wrapping the strap around his wrist and then grabbing the handle, pulling on it, but found that not even he could lift it, no matter how much of his strength he was using, it refused to budge, surprising the girls.

"Dude, how can you not lift the hammer either!?" Rainbow Dash asked in surprise. "You're like one of the most worthy people here?"

"Guess not worthy enough." Spyro chuckled, taking the strap off.

"All difference to the man who wouldn't be king." Tony said. "It's rigged."

"You bet your ass." Barton said.

"Steve, he said a bad word." Romanoff said.

"You told everyone about it?" Steve asked Tony, everyone laughing.

"It's imprinted." Tony said. "It's gotta be, like a security code. Whosoever carry's Thors fingerprint what I think the literal translation is."

"Yes, that's uh, that's a very, very interesting theory." Thor said, getting up. "But I have a simpler one..." Thor then picked his hammer up. "You're all not worthy."

Everyone reacted to the roast, Rainbow Dash laughing as she enjoyed the show, but as everyone was having fun, SPyro felt a sudden disturbance in the Force, knowing what that disturbance was, he looked to where it was, finding a heavily damaged Iron Legion bot walking to them, everyone then turning to look at it, seeing the disheveled and badly damaged machine.

"No, how could you be worthy." The machine said. "You're all killers."

"Stark." Steve said.

"Girls, behind me now." Spyro said, Fluttershy immediately getting behind him as the others moved to him.

"JARVIS." Tony said, trying to get him up.

"Sorry, I was asleep." The machine said. "Or, I was a dream."

"JARVIS, reboot." Tony said. "We got a buggy suit.

"That's not a buggy suit." Spyro said.

"Your friend is right." The machine said. "All the noise, and I was tangled in... in... strings. Had to kill the other guy."

"Other guy?" Twilight asked.

"He means JARVIS." Spyro said, calling his Keyblade.

"Who sent you?" Thor asked.

To answer that, the machine started to play a recording of Stark talking about suits of armor all around the world, protecting it, which sparked Tony and Bruce's minds, giving them an idea who it was.

"Ultron." Bruce said.

"In the flesh." Ultron said. "Or no, not yet. Not this... Christmas."

"Girls, get upstairs, now." Spyro said. "This is not a fight I want you apart of."

"Oh, you don't need to worry about them." Ultron said. "They're innocent, they didn't harm anyone, except for some... creatures... Heartless you call them. They won't be harmed. I'm ready... to carry out the mission."

"What mission?" Natasha asked.

"Peace of our time." He replied, using Tony's voice.

As he said it, multiple Iron Legion robots shot out of the wall and attacked everyone, Steve knocking the table in the air, but the machine went through it and hit him. Another charged Spyro, but he just swung his Keyblade and sliced right through it, cleaving it in two as Thor smacked another one away, the two of them engaging the robots while everyone else sought cover so they can get their weapons or attack them however they could. Spyro was handling another of the robots when he noticed one of them was walking to the scepter, taking it.

"NO!" Spyro shouted, cleaving another bot in two before jumping for the one with the scepter.

However, another bot knocked him into the ground and was about to blast him, but Spyro opened his mouth and bolts of electricity shot out, electrocuting and shorting out the machine, allowing him to get up and help out with the remaining robots, going after one that was approaching a defenseless woman, ready to blast her, but suddenly changed it's mind, Ultron seemingly interested in her, which made him worry. Steve the grabbed the leg less machine and tossed it to Thor, who smashed it with his hammer while Tony shorted out another one, crashing into the stairs and sliding down right as Barton got Steves shield and threw it at the first avenger, who caught it and threw it at another Iron Legion bot, cutting it in half and destroying it, everyone safe and sound.

"That was dramatic." Ultron said, everyone looking to him. "I'm sorry, I know you mean well, you just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve?" He then looked over to Spyro and looked at his Keyblade, analyzing it. "Your weapon is quite fascinating. Where do I get one of those?"

"You get one if you're worthy for one." Spyro answered, raising his Keyblade to him. "In which, you are not."

"Oh well, I might as well do without one." Ultron said, picking up the destroyed robot. "And without these... puppets." He then crushed the helmet of the machine and tossed it away. "There is only one path to peace, the extinction of the Avengers."

After he said that, Thor threw his hammer and destroyed the robot, taking out Ultrons current body, but as he powered down, Spyro could sense that he was still out there, knowing he was going to make himself stronger as he took a few deep breaths, knowing this fight was far from over as Ultron now has the scepter and the Mind Stone. He looked over to Tony, which the two of them stared at each other for a while before he straightened himself up.

"Yep, call it." Spyro said, getting their attention. "Just like the Terminator movies."
