Well, looks like the wedding turned into totalchaos. Spyro sacrificed himself to save the princess, his heart taken, shattered... or is it? And now, the worlds have been selected for the girls to travel to, which worlds I will not reveal right away, but you will be getting some hints on the worlds that have been selected for the upcoming adventure, so if you feel like being a detective and figuring out which worlds they'll be visiting, go for it. I will be selecting the first two worlds on my own while the rest will go into a randomizer and I will let it choose which worlds the Mane Six, and some companions, will visit. Chapter 100: In the Pages
Later that night at Canterlot, all of Equestria knew about what had happened to Spyro, how he sacrificed himself to save Princess Celestia's niece and everyone in Ponyville, Appaloosa, even the nobles all came to the memorial, having drawn a larger crowd than anticipated. The princess also brought a mirror out and used it's magic to inform Master Yen Sid about what had happened, using his magic to transport himself to Equestria while using some of Spyro's technology to help broadcast the memorial to the other Keyblade warriors who were out on patrol so they could be there, even if they couldn't be there physically. Everyone had gathered in the royal garden where a white cloth was over what was obviously a statue and everyone in attendance was gathered around the statue, those who were apart of his herd or his family or his friends for that matter were gathered at the front, pinkie's mane deflated and her cheery and colorful self nothing more than a dull pink and nothing but frowns as she looked to the statue, crying as she plopped her flank down.
Applejack wrapped her foreleg around the unhappy party pony, pulling her in for a hug as she tried to console her, though she was having a hard time not crying as well as tears started to well up in her eyes too. Rainbow Dash was trying to fight back the tears as she didn't want to appear weak in front of everyone else, but failed as a tear rolled down her face, dripping off her cheek and onto the grass as she started to cry as well. Rarity was there and was wearing a black funeral hat, using her magic to wipe her tears with a handkerchief as her mascara was running, Zecora and Fluttershy nearby, the yellow Pegasus crying as hard as Pinkie and Zecora tried to comfort her as she hugged the crying mare. Twilight was nearby as well, sitting next to May as she looked the most upset, looking to the statue before looking over to Rosy, though she was still angry with her, she knew she was just carrying out what Spyro asked her to do, the fault not hers for trying to help her father. Sitting next to her, the crusaders were crying as well.
After a little while, Princess Celestia walked up onto the stage that was set up in front of the tarp and cleared her throat, a few Probe Droids flying down as the skies above grew darker as rain clouds had gathered above to match the sad atmosphere in the crowd.
"I would like to thank all of you for attending this... wake today." Celestia said, trying not to loose her composure. "I know this was on such short notice, but I wanted everyone who knew the deceased to be here today to honor and remember him. Today, we remember the deeds of the fallen, those who fought here in Canterlot today and the one who helped save the day. We are here today to honor the memory of the Prince of Light and Darkness himself, Spyro VanVickle." As she said his name, she looked over to her left, seeing her sister cry and her Captain of the Royal Guard comforting her as best he could while Cadence looked upset, feeling guilty for being the reason he sacrificed himself. "He had a powerful impact on all of us in the year that we knew him. To those who loved him, his herd and his family, to the friends he made across our world. He made us all his friends while he was here, not caring about our status, what we looked like, or how we acted, he gave all of us a chance to be his friend, and helping us in our time of need. We will never forget the many deeds and heroics of Equestria's prince." The crowd bowed their heads, remaining silent for a moment until the princess cleared her throat, trying not to cry as she wiped away a tear, looking back to the crowd. "And now, I would like for you all to give your attention to the pony who sent us the prince, his teacher and mentor, Master Yen Sid."
The princess stepped back as a black unicorn stallion with a gray beard and wearing a tall blue hat with stars on it and a cape matching the hat walked up, looking to the crowd while showing little emotion.
"Thank you Princess Celestia." Yen Sid said. "I am Master Yen Sid and I trained Spyro, along with other Keyblade warriors to help them hone their skills with the ancient weapon, to fight against the darkness. When I first met him, he was not what I had expected. He was just an ordinary being, no magic and no destiny for greatness, but we all know looks can be deceiving. When he first came to my tower, he had a difficult time learning everything about his new destiny and his new abilities. He surpassed my expectations and showed me how one who is yanked from a normal life into a life filled with danger and destruction, can always make time to have a laugh and have fun." He looked down to Spyro's friends, who were all listening with great intent while also trying to fight back the tears. "Like all of us, he had his flaws, but that's what made him who he was. He always strove for perfection, always looked at every problem in another way, and was wise beyond his years. As I stand before you, I see the many ponies and non-ponies he fought bravely to protect from the darkness, despite the probability or the chance of defeat, he fought on and continued to fight until the end. I am honored to have been his mentor... and friend."
He then stepped away from the pedestal as the princess walked up to it, smiling at the guest from another world.
"Thank you Master Yen Sid." Celestia said. "And to commemorate his brave sacrifice, I wish to dedicate this memorial of our brave prince, representing the one thing he had that helped him win time and time again: Heart."
She turned to her sister and her niece, nodding her head to let them know to remove the cloth and the two alicorn surrounded the cloth in their combined aura, removing the cloth to reveal a statue of Spyro, wearing his Beskar armor and standing on his hind legs, his Keyblade in the ground as the two combined Keyblades looked to be floating above him as they represented the power he wielded to help save Canterlot. When the statue was unveiled, the band started to play some sad music, the guards saluting the statue as those who knew him started to cry, some comforting those who knew him as it started to rain, no one pulling up an umbrella as it rained, masking some of the tears coming from the crowd as they got soaking wet from the rain. After a while, ponies and non-ponies started to seek shelter while others used their magic to open up umbrellas to seek some place dry, wishing to settle in for the night as it was going to get dark before long, but Spyro's friends and family remained out in the rain, not caring about being drenched as they looked up at his statue, wishing that he was still alive and this entire thing was a bad dream.
Braeburn then walked up to the group as did Fancy Pants, both with an umbrella saddle on their backs as they approached the mourning group of ponies and non-ponies.
"Cuz, Ah'm awfully sorry for your loss." Braeburn said, removing his hat. "He was a good fella, despite the fact i only met him once."
"I wish to also give you all my condolences." Fancy Pants said. "I won't pretend to know what you're all going through, but, he was a good pony. And a brave one as well."
The two of them walked away from the group to let them have a moment alone, sitting in the rain as they kept on looking to the statue until Celestia used her magic to create a barrier over them, blocking out the rain as the three princesses and the captain walked up.
"Twilight, if there is anything I can do... just ask." Celestia said, trying to cheer her up.
"Thanks princess." Twilight said, getting up. "I really wish this was just a bad dream right now and if it is, I want to wake up now."
"Twiley..." Shining Armor said, his fiancé putting her hoof on his shoulder, shaking her head.
"Twilight, know that we are here for you." Cadence said. "If you or anypony else need anything, just ask."
"Thanks Cadence." Twilight said, walking up and hugging her foal sitter and her brother.
A minute later, a guard walked through the rain towards them along with a couple other soldiers, everyone turning to look at them.
"Princess, we found something in the prince's guest room." The first guard said, looking to the group. "It's addressed to them."
The group of ponies were surprised to hear that Spyro had left them something, wondering what it was that he left them and why he would leave them something at all. They followed the guards back into the palace, followed closely by the princesses and Shining Armor all the way to Spyro's room, which had a strange looking chest in the center of the room with a large blue crystal on it.
"What is it?" Fluttershy asked.
"Maybe it's his bits." Applejack said. "Spyro was pretty conservative with his money."
"Maybe." Twilight said, walking to the crystal. "But what's with the crystal?"
As she was reaching for it, it shot into the air, hovering a few inches off the chest and surprising the mares as it emitted a blue light, an image of Spyro appearing from the light as he looked to them.
"If you're seeing this, it means I didn't make it." Spyro said, addressing the group. "If you find this recording, please, find Twilight and my herd, my little sister, Scootaloo, Rosy, and May." The image of him then disappeared before the crystal scanned the room, identifying everyone as a new image of him appeared from the crystal. "Hey girls. I'm really sorry to have left you so soon. I had a plan, but I guess it failed this time. It was never my intention to hurt you emotionally, but I thought this was the only way to prevent a catastrophe from happening... seems I was wrong for once. You know, I kinda found it funny that I'd be bested during the wedding, guess you could say I saw this coming."
"That's one of his lamer jokes." Pinkie said, not even laughing.
"But, in all seriousness, I left you girls something." Spyro said as the chest opened up. "Twilight, Rarity, AJ, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Zecora, Luna, I made these for you." A second later, eight colored boxes floated to each of the them, each box corresponding to their coat color before opening up to reveal rings, each one with their Cutie Marks on them and each one made from gold. "I was planning on dropping the big question for all of you after the wedding, making your lives even happier with a wedding of your own. But, it looks like that might not happen now. Cherish them girls as I made each of them, putting a piece of my heart into each of them."
The sentiment was met with mixed emotions from all of them, Fluttershy and Rarity holding up their hooves as the boxes set down, breaking down instantly as they sobbed, Luna and Rainbow Dash doing their best to hide their emotions, but giving in as tears rolled down their eyes. Applejack just smiled, though she wanted to cry, she remained strong while holding the ring, shaking in anger and sadness at losing the stallion she loved. Zecora, Pinkie, and Twilight just stared at their rings, Pinkie balling her eyes out as Zecora closed the box, holding her hoof up to her muzzle as she closed her eyes, crying from the sentiment while Twilight starred at hers with mixed emotions of anger and rage, but also sadness and joy as she would have said yes in a heart beat.
"Rosy, I know what I asked you couldn't have been easy, but I knew I could count on you." Spyro said. "That's why I'm giving you this." A moment later, a Keyblade flew out of the chest and to her, similar to the design of the Divine Rose, but it had a white and red rose for the teeth and a whirlwind of petals going around the stem with a golden circle for the guard and a black rose for the Keychain. "It's called the Dual Rose. It's powerful and useful. Use it with care as it will make you twice as dangerous and twice as powerful." Rosy took the blade and could feel the power coming off of it, crying as she wanted her father back, breaking down on the spot. "May, though I may have only purified you of your darkness, I know you will do the right thing to help the girls. That's why I need you to protect this world for me, defend it from the darkness that will try to consume it. Please, do this for me."
"I will." May said, a tear rolling down her eyes as she made the promise.
"And finally, you Scoots." Spyro said, the filly looking up. "Even though we haven't been siblings for more than a year, I always considered you my little sister. Growing up as an only child, never having a brother or a sister, I felt like there was an empty void in my heart, nothing being able to fill it in until I met you. When I saw you speeding down the street on your scooter, going so fast you flew off, it reminded of me when I would spend hours on my scooter, riding around my old neighborhood without a care in the world. Though I don't have my old scooter, I have a few things to give you." A moment later, three different items flew out of the chest, floating towards her. "The first is a scrap book. I made it to hold the memories we made when we hung out together. I won't lie, you were a handful, but I was more than happy to call you my sister."
Scootaloo opened the scrap book and saw the first photo, which was of her being picked up by Spyro from the orphanage after he adopted her, turning the page to see the party afterwards, some of the times they played and hung out with one another, even the wedding where he pranked her by putting a squirt flower into the petals they were throwing down the aisle.
"I wanted you to have something to remember the good times we had." Spyro continued. "The second is a blank story book. I never got the chance to read a bedtime story to a brother or sister as I never had one. I wanted to make up some of my own stories to read to you, even if you're a little old for that, I wanted to at least do it once. Guess I won't get the opportunity now." Scootaloo looked over to a book that had a brown book cover on it, no title and nothing written in it, closing it and holding it and the scrap book to her chest. "And finally, I'm giving you the one crystal I held onto for so long that I forgot about it; the Miracle crystal." As he said it, the group looked at Spyro's hologram and to Scootaloo, who picked up the orange bag and opened it to see the multi-colored gemstone. "It has the power to grant one wish to anyone who's heard is pure and good. I had originally planned on wishing for you to have your wings, but I held onto it as I want you to have the option to make that wish or to wish for something else. Use it carefully Scoots as you only get one so go ahead Scoots, wish for your wings as no Pegasi filly should be without her wings. This completes my will and testament. End recording."
The hologram of Spyro deactivated and the crystal hovered down to the ground, leaving everyone in silence and in tears as they sat there, wanting their friend and love to come back to them no matter what. Scootaloo however, when she saw the miracle crystal, her heart soared as there was now a chance to bring him back.
"I am sorry for your loss everyone." Yen Sid said, walking into the room. "Spyro was a good man... and a better Keyblade warrior." He then looked down to Scootaloo and saw how upset she was, walking over and putting his hoof ion her shoulder. "He meant that for you to have your wings little pony. Maybe you should-"
"Well I don't want my wings!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "I don't want to have my wings or anything else! I want my brother back! I wish I had my brother back! You hear me crystal, please bring my brother back, that's my wish." As she said it, the crystal started to glow, indicating that something was happening, getting everyone's hopes up as the crystal grew brighter and brighter as it was doing something, but the crystals light suddenly died out, the light dying away and the crystals color dull, crushing her spirit. "No." The crystal then turned to dust, Scootaloo watching as the crystal disintegrated in her hoof, shattering her heart. "No, no, no, no, NO!"
"Scootaloo." Twilight said, walking over and hugging her.
When Twilight hugged her, Scootaloo hugged back, sobbing against Twilight's chest as her only hope of bringing her brother failed, her heart and spirit destroyed in an instant.
"It is getting late my friends." Yen Sid said. "I will be spending the night here in Equestria. Tomorrow I shall return to my tower and will let his parents know what happened."
"Come with me then Master Yen Sid." Celestia said. "Let's... give them a moment alone."
Celestia took Yen Sid out of the room and took him to his room, leaving everyone else alone in the room with Cadence and Shining Armor, the former pulling her fiancé away to give everyone else a moment alone to mourn for their loss as the sun was setting. When it became night, everyone had gone to their rooms as did those who cane for the memorial, all given rooms across Canterlot by the the princess of the day, but in the castle, Twilight and her friends were given separate rooms to sleep for the night before making their way back home to Ponyville, each of them sitting up in their beds remembering Spyro and looking at the rings and other things he left for them, looking at them and remembering all the good times they had with Spyro, the adventures he took them on, the fun they had, even the battles they fought together in, all remembering how happy each of them was with him. Each of them went to bed, sobbing in their pillows as they forced themselves to go to sleep, Cadence and Shining Armor walked past each of their rooms and checking in on them individually before coming to Twilight's room, seeing how upset she was as they closed the door quietly.
"Poor Twiley." Shining Armor said. "She and her friends... I only met him a few times and..."
"I know Shining, I know." Cadence said, hugging her husband to be. "Maybe, we should postpone the wedding. Let Twilight and her friends have time to mourn."
"I think that's a good idea." Shin gin Armor said, hugging his bride. "I... I wish I could do more for her and her friends, bring Spyro back."
"I wish the same thing Shining." Cadence said. "I wish I could bring him back as well."
The couple then went down the hall of the palace and went to their room to rest for the night, the entire palace silent as everyone was sleeping for the night, all having possibly terrible dreams of Spyro's death. However, in the room Spyro was given for the wedding, the dust on the ground started to glow a bright yellow, the dust floating into the air and out the cracks of the window into the sky as it spread out across the sky, glowing brighter and brighter before coming together and turning into a glowing blue orb, floating down to the palace and through a window to the room the fillies were sharing, floating to the middle of the room as it glowed. Scootaloo, who was facing the orb, scrunched her eyes, and cracked them open, seeing the orb before turning her body away from the orb to get some sleep when she suddenly spun around and looked at the orb, her eyes wide when she saw it.
"Girls, wake up." Scootaloo said, each of them sound asleep. "Wake up!"
"Ugh, Scootaloo." Sweetie Belle said groggily as she sat up. "What wrong? Wha-a-a-a-a-a-AH!"
Apple Bloom then sat up, having heard Sweetie Belle scream, which woke eveyrone else up and rushed to her room to see what was wrangled when they all saw the glowing blue orb in the room, everyone's eyes wide in shock when they saw it.
"What the hay!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What is that thing!?"
"It's some kind of orb." Twilight said, walking up to it and fascinated by it. "It has... some kind of magic."
"Twiley, get back!" Shine Armor said, pulling her away. "Could be dangerous."
She wanted to argue with her brother that she didn't believe it was dangerous, but instead watched as the orb started to float away from the group, through the door to the terrace, which they followed it outside and watched as it flew into the air, scattering into dozens of other small orbs that lit up the night sky, waking all of Canterlot up and bringing them outside to see what was going on outside, looking up into the air to see all of the blue orbs dancing around in the sky around the palace, wondering what was going on.
"Hey, this looks... familiar." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, like I've seen this before." Rainbow Dash said.
"Yes indeedily-do!" Pinkie said, her mane poofy again. "This looks very familiar like I saw it before, but cannot remember where I saw it unless I look back on it in the other chapters of our adventures!"
They just ignored Pinkie as they watched the lights dance around in the sky when music started to play, a tribal song with drums and power behind it.
[Spirits]
Come with me, I'll take you now.
To the worlds his heart is at.
Although we cannot, bring him back, right away,
but I will grant you... your wish.
The lights then flew into the air, followed closely by a downpour of glowing blue water hit the terrace floor, flowing over the edge and going onto the palace grounds, everyone wondering what it was as they approached it.
"What is it?" Celestia asked.
"Hey, this looks familiar." Rainbow Dash said. "Isn't this-"
"Hey, Ah remember this back in Appaloosa." Applejack said, looking it up and down. "Ah think Spyro touched this stuff and the trees on Appaloosa came to life. Maybe-"
Before Applejack could finish her sentence, Scootaloo touched the water, Northern lights coming out of the water as a bear roared out, spooking everyone to returned inside as they watched the lights shine outside, seeing bells ringing in the sky followed by a group of Indians doing a dance around a fire, a crystal with stone faces orbiting it and a puppet seemingly walking down the street, catching everyone's attention.
Everything will become clear to you,
when you see things through, another's eyes!
The journey will become clears to you,
whatever is meant for you, you will find!
A moment later, they heard some forms croaking behind them and looked back to see a bunch of glowing forms hopping into the room and to the terrace, confusing everyone what was going on as they looked back out to see a dragon without wings flying around in the lights and and over water, past a large pot of honey and a chariot being pulled by two Pegasi as a person was riding it, making them wonder what was happening. Then they saw a bunch of puppies running in the air, barking and playing as they ran past a house with the doors opening and closing as if it was playing to the beat before opening again and a bright red rose appeared in the sky, catching everyone's attention as they watched the sky.
Come with me, I'll take you there,
to the place, where you'll find! (Where you'll find!)
Everything you need, to find his heart, we give to you!
And all you need is, in the page!
And in time, you'll find, his heaaaaaaaart!
A moment later, a glowing bald eagle flew down from the sky and landed on the balcony, turning from an eagle into Sitka, surprising everyone there as they looked at him. Before they could ask him anything, a frog brought over the blank book Spyro had left for Scootaloo, picking it up and tossing it into the air before turning back into an eagle, soaring into the sky as he grabbed the book with his talons, flying towards the lights with the book before flapping his wings over the blank book, the different animals, items, and beings all got absorbed into the center of the book, a dragons head appearing as it roared out, an explosion of light to reveal the book had completely changed, instead of a brown cover, it was now purple with black symbols around the dragons head in the center of the cover, floating down as the lights started to fade.

The book floated down to the terrace where everyone had gathered outside, Scootaloo taking the book in her hooves as she looked at it when the lights suddenly shot into the air, making the city dark again as the populace wondered what had happened in the sky and what was going on while Scootaloo and everyone in her room looked to the book, crowding around to see it.
"What... was that?" Shining Armor asked, trying to process what happened.
"The spirits." Fluttershy replied, turning to look at her. "In one of our adventures to another world, Spyro asked Rainbow Dash and I to accompany him to another world to rescue our new friend Sora. The one we saw is Sitka, who was the older brother of Kenai, a new friend we made."
"Wait, was?" Luna asked.
"He's dead." Rainbow Dash replied, Luna going pale.
"D-dead?" Luna asked. "You mean he's a ghost?"
"Pretty much." Pinkie replied. "Sacrificed himself to save his brothers."
"Like Spyro sacrificed himself to save me." Cadence said, still feeling guilty as Shining Armor hugged her.
"But... why change the book?" Rarity asked, taking it from Scootaloo. "And why say they would grant the wish if all they're giving us is a book?"
"Maybe it is meant to be a guide." Master Yen Sid said, walking into the room, using his magic to bring the chest Spyro had in his room with him.
"A guide?" Applejack asked. "A guide to what?"
"His heart." Yen Sid replied. "There was something strange about the chest when I examined it. Spyro was always good at hiding things and making things."
He then presented the chest to them, opening it and confusing them as they didn't see anything, until the otherworldly wizard pressed down on the bottom, popping out and revealing the bottom was a fake.
"A False Bottom." Shining Armor said, laughing as Yen Sid took the bottom out. "This guy made a chest... with a False Bottom."
"Spyro... you cheeky pony." Twilight said, looking in. "Now, what were you hiding."
She used her magic to lift up what was in the hidden compartment and used out another book, red in color with a Phoenix on the cover, Pinkie's eyes lighting up as she saw it.
"THAT'S IT!" Pinkie shouted, scaring everyone. "That's the answer!"
"Come again?" Rarity asked.
"Ok, I went to someone who I thought could help us, who is in another world, but he refused to help, but did give me a hint!" Pinkie replied, confusing everyone. "He said that the Phoenix holds the answer! And that book has a Phoenix on its cover!"
When Pinkie told them that, everyone clambered to open the book to see what they could find, Twilight keeping it away from them as she jumped out from the group, still holding the book.
"Everypony, calm down!" Twilight said, everyone but Shining Armor and Cadence tangled up into a ball. "Let me just look and see what I can find, then all of you can look in it, ok?" Everyone got untangled from the jumbled mess and Twilight was about to open the book when she noticed the blue ribbon in the pages of the book, wondering about something as she opened the book to see what was marked, a smile creeping on her face. "Everypony, listen to this! I have made an amazing discovery for this tome as originally believed, if a heart is shattered, it means the existence of that person was over, no Heartless and no Nobody. However, there was one small detail that no one ever considered, which was that if the heart was either light or dark. If a heart made of light is hit or struck by a person or a spell of darkness, the heart will shatter and destroyed, vice versa for a heart of darkness. But I found that if a spell made of light is shattered by a spell of light, the heart is instead scattered into multiple pieces across the worlds, to be collected and used to restore whoever the heart belonged to."
"Wait, you're saying... that..." Luna started to say, choking on her words as she felt her heart become lighter.
"We can bring him back." Twilight replied, looking to the book. "And that book is going to help us."
"How?" Rarity asked, opening it to show nothing was written. "There's nothing in it." As she said it, the page she was on started to glow a golden hue, the Roman numeral one at the top of the page. "Oh, never mind. It looked like something appeared in it."
"Let me see that." Twilight said, Rarity giving Twilight the book as she walked over. "Chapter one: Heart of the Bear. Heart of the Bear?"
"What does that mean?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I don't know." Twilight replied. "But I think it's trying to tell us where to go first." She then looked under the chapter title and watched as a gold light shined underneath, revealing the name of the world. "The North American Ice Age. Must be the name of the world."
"And look." Cadence said, numbers appearing underneath the world name. "Coordinates. Must be for the world his heart's at."
"Or a piece of it." Twilight said. "We need to go and get it."
"Not so fast there Twilight." Celestia said, walking up. "I know you want to bring him back, your friends and my sister want him back as well."
"Princess, we're going to bring him back." Twilight said, walking past. "I won't let you stop me."
"I wasn't going to." Celestia said, surprising her. "I want to wish you good luck and good fortune. Bring him home."
Twilight smiled and ran up to her mentor, hugging her and smiling.
"The journey will be long and difficult." Yen Sid said. "I take it none of you know how to fly a Gummi ship yet?"
"He... didn't get that far." Rainbow Dash replied.
"But I can." May said, walking up to them. "I can fly one."
"You?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No thanks!"
"Listen, I know I did a lot of terrible things, I will not lie about that." May replied. "But he was my friend as well. He saved me from the darkness that plagued me and he risked everything to bring me back. The least I can do is help him and bring him home."
Rainbow Dash glared at her, no it fully trusting their former enemy even after Spyro purified her of the darkness that was controlling her, but Twilight walked up to her without fear, knowing their new friend was different than when they first met.
"May, I trust you." Twilight said, surprising everyone. "Spyro's power banished the darkness in your heart, so I know you aren't who you were before. So, I trust you."
"Are you serious!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "We can't trust her!"
"I'm with your friend on this Twiley." Shining Armor said. "Through we saved her, there is still a part of me that doesn't trust you."
"Well I trust her." Cadence said, walking up next to her. "And I'm going with you Twilight."
"WHAT!?" Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle and Celestia said at the same time.
"No, out of the question!" Shining Armor exclaimed. "No way are you going to other worlds!"
"I must agree." Yen Sid said. "The world order has already been broken by Maleficent and by Spyro. We don't want to risk further damaging it."
"Not to mention you have no way of fighting the Heartless or the Nobodies!" Twilight pointed out.
"Oh I don't need a fancy key to fight them." Cadence replied. "Besides, I owe Spyro my life for saving me. Seems only fair I help find him."
"Then I'm going with you." Shining Armor said, stepping up next to his bride to be. "I nearly lost you once, I'm not letting you out of my sight."
"I shall also go and help you in your search as I will not side around on my perch." Zecora said. "You may need somepony to make a healing brew, incase something injures all of you."
"We're also going." Applejack said, the rest of Twilight's friends stepping up. "Ya'll aren't doing this without the rest of us sugarcube. We're a herd, and the herd sticks together, no matter what!"
Yen Sid overlooked the ten ponies who were willing to traverse the worlds to find the pieces to Spyro's heart, seeing how they were so determined, he couldn't help but smile, chuckling as he admired their devotion.
"Spyro truly has many wonderful friends." Yen Sid said. "Very well then. Twilight, I hereby grant you and your friends the mission of locating Spyro's heart. Travel throughout all the worlds and find his heart, wherever it may be hiding. Follow your hearts and remember what the prince has taught you, for this journey will long and dangerous. Make sure you have everything you need for the journey ahead for this will be your greatest challenge. And I doubt that the prince's demise and loss of his heart has gone unnoticed by the forces of evil. Be ready to fight like you never fought before."
"We will master." Twilight said. "Thank you."
"In the mean time, we will need a Keyblade bearer to remain here in Equestria to make sure it is safe."
"I'll stay." Rosy said, walking up. "Dad would want me to keep this world safe."
"Then it's decided." Yen Sid said. "You will leave for the worlds immediately. Take one of Spyro's ships and begin your search with the first world in the book. Time is against us."
The group then walked out of the room as they made their way out when Luna pulled Twilight aside, wanting to talk to her in private.
"Promise me you'll keep Cadenza safe." Luna said. "And promise me you'll bring Spyro home safe and sound."
"Don't worry Princess, I will." Twilight said.
"We'll go as well!" Scootaloo said, rushing up to Twilight. "We can help!"
"No Scootaloo, I'm afraid I can't let you come along." Twilight replied.
"What!?" Scootaloo exclaimed. "Why not!?"
"Because this mission will be dangerous." Twilight replied. "There will be a lot of monsters and bad ponies out there trying to get your brother's heart as well. And I don't think he'd forgive me if something happened to you." She then put her hoof on her shoulder, giving her a warm smile. "Don't worry, I'll bring him back. I promise."
Twilight hugged Scootaloo, showing she meant her promise as she walked back to the group, who were waiting for her as they walked down the corridor to make their way to the train station to Spyro's Gummi Garage. At the Nobody stronghold, the eleven remaining organization members were in their throne room, discussing what their next plan would be as Larxene walked in, all eyes on her as she approached.
"I apologize for being late." Larxene said, leaping to her throne and sitting. "I have good news for you, the prince is dead."
"Then, we have free range to conquer Equestria." Saïx said. "That world will bring us closer to Kingdom Hearts."
"Let us not be hasty." Ansem said. "Though the prince is no more, his friends are still a problem."
"Bah, let them try and get in our way." Lexaeus said. "We'll crush them."
"I wouldn't count on that pebbles." Demyx said, lying back in his throne. "I've seen them fight before a couple of times in the World of Marvels. They're still new, but they're still decent fighters."
"And how would you have us proceed then water boy?" Larxene asked. "Only thing menacing about them is their snarky attitudes and lack of strength."
"Demyx has a point." Zexion said, flipping through his book. "I have taken note of their fighting styles and their skills. True, they aren't much of a threat now, but with enough time and training, they'll be more than a threat. But..."
"But?" Larxene asked, suddenly growing concerned.
"Spyro was stronger and faster than what I heard from you before." Zexion said, closing his book. "For him to suddenly loose his heart like that, when he could easily have slowed down time and dodged the daggers, he wanted to be defeated."
"Wanted to loose his heart?" Vexen asked. "This doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would he loose his heart purposefully?"
"To grow stronger." Vanitas said, walking out from behind a throne. "He believes if his heart is lost, but not taken by the Heartless, he'll grow stronger when he gets it back."
"How do you know this?" Vexen asked.
"I overheard his plan." Vanitas replied. "His blind pony friend scattered his heart and his friends will collect the pieces, restoring his heart and growing even more powerful in a short amount of time."
"Fascinating." Vexen replied. "Such a bold and risky plan, worthy of his genius."
"Then we must be the ones to restore his heart." Xemnas said, floating down from his throne. "We must locate his heart and use it for ourselves. Go now and find it."
Without waiting to be told a second time, the organization members all disappeared into dark corridors to begin looking for the heart as Xemnas ordered, Demyx the last to leave as he had another idea in mind for if he found the pieces. When he left, Ansem and Xemnas left the room to return to their observation room to make ready for their invasion of Equestria, failing to notice a shadow in the corner of the room watching them and disappearing. At Radiant Garden, int the old abandoned fortress, Pete was just returning from a mission to make more Heartless for his mistress, walking up the steps and entering the room, spotting Maleficent starring into a dark orb and smiling.
"What's got you so happy Maleficent?" Pete asked. "Surely it can't be the new Heartless I brought back with me?"
"Of course not you fool!" Maleficent replied. "It's the prince. He's lost his heart."
"What!?" Pete asked. "He did!? Well, that's great news. Now he won't be bothering us anymore."
"I wish that were so." Maleficent replied, dismissing the orb. "Though he lost his heart, I could not find his Heartless. I believe his heart has been scattered into the worlds, preventing his Heartless from coming."
"Then, what should we do?" Pete asked.
"We?" She asked, scoffing at her minion. "I will be going out and look for the prince's heart! You will remain here and continue to bring me more Heartless! I want many more by the time I come back! And when I do... all of the worlds will bow to me!"
She was encased in a sickly green flame as she laughed, her dark laughter echoing throughout the corridors of the fortress as she vanished into thin air to begin her search for Spyro's heart, hoping to claim it for herself. Back in Equestria, everyone had just returned to Ponyville and were making preparations for the journey ahead, Fluttershy asking Spike to take care of her animals while Rarity got her parents to keep an eye on Sweetie Belle until she got back, hugging them as she knew she was going to be gone for a while, but didn't see Sweetie Belle, so she asked her parents to give her a hug from her before heading out. Pinkie informed the Cakes what she was going to do, which she packs her bags and gave the Cakes a goodbye hug and the baby Cakes a goodbye hug as well before going to the Gummi Garage. Rainbow Dash informed her bosses at Cloudsdale what was going on and that she might be gone for a while, which she did get some backlash, but they wished her luck in finding Spyro before heading to the garage.
At the farm, Applejack was packing up her bags, which she hugged her granny and her brother, but couldn't find Apple Bloom or Scootaloo to say her farewells to them, but didn't want to waste a lot of time looking for them, so she asked her granny to give them a hug for her as she went outside. At the garage, Twilight was with her brother and future sister-in-law where her parents were there, making sure she had everything they needed before leaving.
"Now, you got your first aid kit?" Twilight Velvet asked. "Books, everything you need for survival?"
"Mom, we have everything." Twilight replied. "Besides, Spyro's ships are filled with supplies and medical stuff. We'll be fine."
"Yeah mom, you have nothing to worry about." Shining Armor said. "I'll make sure to keep Twilight safe."
"Oh right, you'll keep me safe." Twilight said, jabbing her brother in the side. "Don't worry mom, this isn't the first time I've been off world and on another."
"Just promise us you'll come home safely." Night Light said, looking very anxious.
"Don't worry dad, I promise, we'll be safe." Twilight replied, hugging her parents.
A moment later, May came up to the farm, which she did get a few dirty looks from the Apple Family, causing her to look down as she felt bad about what she did.
"Well, is everyone here?" May asked.
"Indeed, we are all present and accounted for." Zecora replied. "Now come, let us be off and soar."
"Agreed." May said, walking into Spyro's garage, Shining Armor and Cadence eyes wide in amazement. "AIVA, bring the Dragon's Crest up."
"Negative." AIVA replied.
"What?" May asked. "Why not?"
"The Dragon's Crest is not required for this mission." AIVA replied. "Now raising The Harmony."
"The Harmony?" May asked.
A moment later, the entire garage started to shake as if an earthquake was going on, May and everyone else running out of the building for their safety when the garage started to lift up off the ground, rising higher and higher off the ground before it split in half, everyone's eyes wide with surprise to see the ship looked like it was a J-Type Naboo Diplomatic cruiser covered in laser cannons and missile cannons, silver in color and with large Holy-type engines. Everyone was taken by surprise at the new ship they were looking at, never seeing it before, so they knew it was just built when a hologram of Spyro appeared in front of the ship, smiling at them.
"Hey girls." Spyro said. "If you're seeing this, then it means Scootaloo made the wish I knew she would make. The Harmony has been specially designed for you girls to traverse the worlds to find my heart. The book you probably have, after being remade for the journey, is made to hold the pieces of my heart and will reveal the pieces of my heart. The pieces can appear as either an item or as a person, or even an animal. To figure out where the piece is hidden in, you need to locate this symbol." He raised his hoof and showed a dragon's head with a triangle behind it and a Pegasi, Unicorn, and Earth pony at each of the corners of the triangle. "This symbol will indicate that the person or item has the heart piece, but getting it will be the trick. Each piece will defend itself or whatever or whoever it is hidden in, so if the item or person is destroyed or damaged, the piece will unleash its magic and protect itself."
"Oh great." Rainbow Dash said. "It had to be something."
"However, if you can figure out the riddle that goes with each of the Heart Pieces, then you will acquire it." Spyro continued. "Now before you begin your journey, you should probably get to know the Harmony. Its design is based around the J-Type Diplomatic cruiser used by Senator Amidala when she went to the planet Coruscant. I retrofitted it with a lot of laser cannons and missile launchers to give it some more firepower and it had twelve power cores to ensure it won't run out of power, extremely powerful shield generators to protect the ship, basically military grade, and a lot of rooms to ensure you all have a place to sleep and plenty of other rooms to keep you all entertained, including a game room, theater room, simulator room, a training area as I want you to keep practicing even if I'm not there, and more." The girls chuckled a bit, still happy that Spyro still had his humor. "Girls, I sorry for doing this. If there was another way, I'd have taken it, but in this instance, there was no other way. I know you'll find me, just follow the book and you'll find my heart. I'll be waiting for you. I love you girls... I love you all."
The hologram ended and the boarding ramp lowered to allow them to enter the ship, hugging their family one more time before getting onto the ship, amazed by how big it was and by the room they first entered, which was the training room, which also counted as the kitchen, dining area, and as the main room as it also lead to the other rooms, finding a staircase where it took them straight to the cockpit, finding there to be many seats for them to sit in, so they took their stuff to the sleeping quarters first, finding there t be nearly a dozen rooms for them, so each of them took a room for themselves while Shining Armor and Cadence chose a room to share, unpacking their stuff before returning to the main room where another hologram was waiting for them.
"Oh yeah, there was one more thing I forgot to mention, I got a gift for you." Spyro said. the hologram disappeared and from the center of the room, six compartments rose from the ground to reveal they were glass cases and in them was, to their surprise, armor specifically suited and made for the Twilight and her friends, each colored with their coat and with their Cutie Marks on the shoulders and the flank of the armor. "These suits of armor I made for each of you to fit you like a glove. The suits are made of Beskar, the same stuff my armor was made out of, so i know you'll all be safe. In addition, I added a bit of Tony Starks Iron Man suit storage with some magic to store the suits of armor into special necklaces." As he said it, the suits all started to glow and turned into the necklaces he was talking about, gold in color and each with their Cutie Marks on them. "I only made six of them as I know there will be more of you that will be going on this journey, but I know you'll all be safe and sound. Be careful out there girls as this mission and the challenges ahead will be your greatest hurdle yet as Keyblade warriors. Good luck and may the Force be with you."
The hologram went off as the containers opened, the Mane Six walking up to the necklaces and taking them, tearing up as, even without his heart, he was always looking out for them. They put the necklaces on and immediately they started to glow, shining bright enough to make everyone look away until the light died down to reveal the girls were now wearing the armor, perfectly fitting on them and examining themselves.
"Wow Twiliey, you look pretty good." Shining Armor said.
"Thank big brother." Twilight said, the armor returning to necklace form. "Even in death, he's always looking out for us."
"We're about ready to leave." May said, addressing eveyrone. "Would you all come up to the cockpit please? Take off is in two minutes."
They all walked to the cockpit where May had already taken a seat in the pilot's chair, everyone else walking up and finding an empty seat to sit in as May activated the ship, the console turning on as the screens all lit up around them, surprising everyone as it went around the cockpit and miniature screens appeared in front of everyone, wondering what this was until a video of Spyro came up.
"Hey everypony." Spyro said. "The Harmony is the latest ship in my garage and it's one of the most technologically advanced I have ever made. The ship itself supports thirty thunder-G laser cannons, six Thundaga-G heavy rotary laser cannons, twelve Comet-G laser missile launchers, and four Ultima-G laser Missile launchers. But due to it's size and mass, it presents itself as an easy target, even with six Holy-G engines to allow it to be fast, it won't outrun fighter class ships, so I outfitted the ship with four military grade shield generators and a stealth field generator to allow it to become invisible to scopes and to sight."
"Geez, this guy's thought of everything." Shining Armor said, pulling up an image of the ship.
"You'll also notice that this ship has a lot of rooms and facilities that you can use at anytime." Spyro said. "However, the use of the weapons, shields, cloak, and miscellaneous takes a lot of power and energy, so I equipped the ship with twelve Class four power generators to compensate for the lack of energy. However, it only takes four of them to either be damaged or destroyed to render this ship inactive, so make sure the generators are safe."
"And where the heck are those!?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Now, you might be asking where they are at." Spyro said, surprising Rainbow Dash. "They're in the back of the ship near the engines. To make sure they don't get damaged so easily, I reinforced the rear of the ship with Dispel-G Gummi Blocks, making it near impossible for them to be damaged. But in the rare case that one of them does get damaged, I set you up with spare blocks and generators so you can replace them if need be."
"Wow." Cadence said, swiping through everything. "I've never seen something this advanced and amazing in my life!"
"I'll say." Shining Armor said. "Twilight, I swear, if you refuse this guys proposal, we're going to have issues."
Twilight just rolled her eyes at her brother, smiling and laughing at how easy it was for him to get excited.
"As for food and drinks, the ships kitchen area has everything you need." Spyro said as an image of him popped back up. "I was experimenting with food synthesizing technology to create any kind of food and drink you will need for the journey and, after getting blown up a few times, I managed to perfect it. I loaded the menu with all Equestrian dishes from simple foods to delicacies that might prove to be to your liking."
"Oh, please tell me he put Daffodil Soufflé!" Cadence exclaimed. "Oh, I love Daffodil Soufflé."
"Finally, the cockpit itself." Spyro said. "It's connected to the theater room, so if the journey is long, you can sit in the cockpit and watch some shows as you travel, even synthesize some food up here if you get hungry. Girls... I'm sorry... for everything. It was never my intention to bring you into my war against the darkness. And it wasn't my intention to hurt you either. I pray that you can forgive me for not telling you my plan from the start. But I know you'll find me and when you do, I'll make it up to you all. I promise."
The video ended as the ship took off, flying into the sky, flying into the air as it got out of the worlds atmosphere, Cadence and Shining Armor left speechless at they looked around and saw all the stars around them, smiling as they felt like they felt a sense of wonder and excitement, but when they saw May, they gasped in surprise. May had returned to her human form with her blue hair, but was wearing what seemed to be a blue jacket with wave patterns on the collar, sleeves, and edge of the jacket, purple pants and a red shirt underneath the jacket and black leather boots.
"What... are you?" Shining Armor asked.
"A human." May replied, putting in the coordinates. "Spyro and I are humans."
"Wait, Spyro too?" Cadence asked.
"We come from other worlds." May answered. "I come from Radiant Gardens and Spyro comes from a world called Earth. We were brought to the Mysterious Tower to train, which Spyro was the strongest out of all of us. His instincts and powers trump that of any Keyblade Bearer. He... was a force to be reckoned with."
"So, how will we find the Heart Pieces?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well, according to Spyro, the pieces can hide in something or someone." May replied "And the symbol he showed us will reveal who or what the pieces are hiding in."
"So, that means we got some looking to do." Twilight said. "Wonder how many pieces there are."
"Well, maybe the book might have an idea of how many there are." Cadence suggested. "Check the book."
Twilight then used her magic to look at the book, both inside the book and outside until she noticed the symbols on the book, one of them colored gold while the rest were black, counting how any were around the dragons head and coming to a conclusion about how many pieces there are.
"Looks like we're going to be looking for twelve Heart pieces." Twilight said.
"Twelve!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, groaning as she fell back into her seat. "Why so many!?"
"Rainbow, don't complain!" Applejack replied. "It coulda been worse ya know? We coulda been looking for thirty or more if we were unlucky enough."
"Hey, if there are twelve out there, then that means we get to visit twelve worlds we never got to explore before!" Pinkie said excitedly. "Oh, I can't wait!"
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually agree with Pinkie." Rarity said. "It would be lovely to see some more worlds while we were looking."
Before someone could say anything else, they heard something crash behind them and found the crusaders in a hobbled heap, groaning as they looked completely filthy, looking up to see there was an open vent.
"Ow." Scootaloo said. "Whose bright idea was it to hide in the vents again?"
"Ah think it was yours Scootaloo." Apple Bloom replied.
"Apple Bloom!" Applejack exclaimed, making the three of them flinch.
"Sweetie Belle!" Rarity shouted.
"Scootaloo?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What the hay are you three doing here? Weren't you supposed to be back in Ponyville?"
"We just wanna help." Apple Bloom said. "Spyro was like a big brother to me as much as he was to Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle."
"Yeah, besides, he's my family!" Scootaloo said. "And I want to be there to help him as much as he helped me."
"Plus, we kind of thought we could get our Cutie marks in world traveling!" Sweetie Belle said excitedly. "Or... heart finding!"
"Absolutely out of the question!" Applejack said, getting out of her seat. "We're landin' this thing and ya'll are getting off immediately!"
"Too late." May said, making the overprotective farm mare look at her, seeing the stars starting to light up. "Buckle up everyone! We're going into Warp Space in five... four... three... two... one!"
A moment later, the ship lite up as the engines charged up, going straight into warp space and taking the group of thirteen ponies to the first world on their long and dangerous journey, looking for their friends heart and retrieving the pieces before members of the Organization or Maleficent could get them first.
