Chapter 188: Da Big Apple Part 1: Meeting More Friends
It was late in the afternoon in another version of New York City and Yang was walking along the streets of the city itself, trying her best not to draw attention to herself as this was a new land and she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, even though the people walking along the sidewalk were human, she kept her guard up as she didn't know about any of the dangers that was in this city. But as she walked, her arms started to malfunction again, making her grunt in pain as she ducked into a nearby alleyway to look at it, finding that it was only getting worse as she went along, hissing a second later as it shorted out again.
"Ugh, stupid arm!" Yang said. She then clicked a button on it and it then deactivated, shutting down the power on the device to try and reset the device, but when she tried to turn it back on, it didn't reactivate, making her groan in annoyance. "Great, now the stupid thing won't turn back on! Could this morning get any worse!?"
"Well, what have we here?" A voice asked. Yang looked to her left and there stood a few green goblins, though they were much taller than she had expected to see, one wearing a trench coat and blue jeans while the other two looked more punk like than most humans, walking out as they saw her. "Looks like someone's having issues with her arm. How unfortunate."
"Hey, I don't know who you are, but you better keep away from me." Yang said, standing up as she pointed her gauntlet at them. "Trust me, I might be down an arm, but I'm far from defenseless."
"Oh, I bet." The goblin leader said. "Except there's three of us, yet only one of you. You're outnumbered."
"Not outmatched though." Yang replied.
She pointed her gauntlet to fight the goblins, not knowing that a shadow landed right behind her and was standing right over her, the goblins looking at what was behind her before turning around and fleeing, much to her confusion, so she turned around and standing there was a large red dragon with sleak black and green spines and a yellow underbelly.
"Yeah, that's right, ya better run yo!" The dragon shouted, looking down at the girl. "Hey miss, you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm alright." Yang replied, relaxing as she lowered her gauntlet. "Thanks for the save."
"My pleasure ma'am." The dragon said. He then looked at her arm, seeing the damage done to it and flinched. "Yo, that looks bad girl. You good?"
"Yeah, I'll be aright." Yang replied. "Besides, it's not my real arm. Lost it a while ago. Had this one ever since."
"Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that." The dragon said. "How'd it happen?"
"Our school was attacked by a bunch of Grimm." Yang replied. "I tried to help fight them back, but I lost it after a Faunus cut it off. I was given this to replace my arm, but now, as you can see, it's damaged and I can't get it to turn back on."
"Yeesh, that's definitely bad." The dragon said. "Hey, how about you come with me? My gramps owns a repair shop, maybe he can fix it."
"You really think so?" Yang asked.
"It's worth a shot yo." The dragon replied.
"Well, I guess it's worth a try." Yang replied. "Thanks."
"No prob yo." The dragon replied. He was then surrounded by fire, surprising Yang as he transformed from a dragon to a teenage boy, no more than thirteen years of age wearing a red coat, blue jean cargo shorts and a pair of sneakers, his hair black with the edge green, surprisng her. "By the way, name's Jake Long. What's your's?"
"Yang." She replied. "Yang Xiao Long."
"Wait, we both have Long as a last name!?" Jake asked, lookign excited. "Yo, that's totally wicked! What are the odds!? Hey, we long lost cousins or something?"
"I highly doubt it." Yang replied. "Now where is your grandfathers shop again?"
"Oh, yeah, follow me." Jake replied.
The two of them walked out of the alleyway and back onto the streets, moving back onto the streets and in the direction of Jake's grandfathers workshop to see what they could do to help Yang with her arm. However, a moment later, Xigbar walked out of a corridor into darkness, walking on the rooftops of the building and over looking the city to see what he was dealing with.
"So this is the world Xemnas want's destroyed?" Xibgar asked, questioning the logic behind it. "Eh, not really what I would have chosen, but if the boss says it's gotta go, then it's gotta go. Now, where's this keyhole hiding at?"
Meanwhile in Equestria, Spyro was on the farm going over a map of all the worlds and as he was lookign over everything, his friends managed to get their new allies places to stay and jobs to where they could earn some bits so that they would at least have something to do while not on missions or to wait until their homes were restored. But as he was lookign over the map, twilight was in his garage, looking at the necklace that Spyro had just brought back, trying to figure it out.
"So let me get this straight, in the battle, a while Alicorn with red hair came and gave this to you, calling it Hope?" Twilight asked.
"That's what happened." Spyro replied. "Obviously, it's an Element of Harmony, but when I tried to look in the databanks about an Element of Harmony for Hope, it turned up nothing. And I had AIVA download the complete magical history of Equestria, but she found nothing."
"Hmm, maybe I can find something in the library about it." Twilight suggested. "Uh, do you mind if I go ahead and take it with me to do some research?"
"Oh no, go ahead." Spyro replied. "I'm just waiting on Demyx to return with what he has discovered." Twilight picked up the Element of Harmony and put it in her bag, walking out of the garage and making her way back to the library and as she did, a corridor opened up and from it, Demyx walked out, walking towards Spyro as he looked over. "Demyx, just in time. Did you manage to find out anything about where Xigbar went?"
"I have." Demyx replied. "It wasn't easy though as I actually had to use my head to get the information without being too suspicious."
"And?" Spyro asked.
"Xigbar is heading to this world." Demyx replied. He pulled up the map and zoomed into a world that looked similar to New York city, except it was mystical creatures and humans, but the mystical world is hidden from the human world."
"A hidden world huh?" Spyro asked. "So why was Xemnas drawn to this particular world?"
"No idea." Demyx replied. "Maybe due to the creatures that live onthis world? All I know is that he's going to do whatever it takes to get this world and Xigbar is the man to do it."
"Well he's going to have a very hard time getting it while I'm around." Spyro said. "Thanks for the update."
"No a problem bud." Demyx replied. "Anyway, I'm going to go check on that thing you need me to check. I'll be around if you need me."
With that, Demyx opened up a corridor behind him and walked through to continue the mission that Spyro had given him, leaving Spyro alone in the garage to look at the world in question, wondering what was so special about that world that the Organization was willing to destroy it just to get it. Meanwhile in the city, Yang and Jake had just gotten to the boys grandfathers shop, which was a small place along the street, entering it to see an elderly chinese man in a blue robe with a large dog with him, which was a Chinese Shar Pei. The store itself was filled with electronics that had price tags on it and some that looked like they were in the process of being repaired, the man looking up from his work station to see the two of them come in and got up to greet them.
"Jake, good to see that you made it on time this time." Jake's grandfather said, looking to Yang. "Who is your friend here?"
"Her name is Yang." Jake replied. "I just met her a little while ago and I think she has something that might peak your interests."
Yang walked over and showed him her arm, which he looked at it and was mystified.
"Interesting." The grandfather said. "I have never seen a prosthetic like this before."
"It was specially made for me." Yang replied. "But unfortunately, it's badly damaged and I don't know the first thing about this thing to save my life."
"Hmm, it's pretty complicated." The grandfather said "I do not know if I can repair it."
"Aw come on G, you can fix anything." Jake said.
"I am sorry Jake, but unfortunately, this is beyond my knowledge." The grandfather replied, turning to Yang. "I am sorry Ms. Yang."
"Eh, kinda figured you might not be able to fix it." Yang replied. "It's no big deal."
"I will see what I can do about finding you a replacement." The grandfather said. "For now, I must talk with my grandson about something very important."
"Hey, I know when I'm not needed." Yang said.
She then walked out of the shop to give the two of them some time alone and once she was gone, the dog walked up and flipped the sign on the door, looking back to Jake and the grandfather.
"Woowie, now there's a hottie for you!" The dog said, revealing she was able to talk. "Did you see those curves!? Oh man she looks ready to bear!"
"Fu, be respectful, will ya?" Jake asked.
"Hey, all I'm saying, whoever she ends up with, she's gonna be making them happy, a goo-goo." Fu said.
"Fu dog!" The grandfather shouted, silencing him. "Now Jake, I am pleased to see that you're trying to help someone in need, but we have an important matters to attend to tonight."
"I know gramps, but I just wanted to help her." Jake replied, keeping quiet that Yang saw him as a dragon. "It's just something I had to do, that's all."
"Young dragon, being a good man is something that you do, but also something that you are." The grandfather replied. "You have a gentle heart young dragon, which is a good thing to have, but now we must leave for our patrol."
The three of them walked out the front door of the store, locking up behind them as they left, but little did they know that Yang was watching them from around the corner, knowing something was up and followed after them. Meanwhile in Equestria, Spyro had just finished gathering everyone at the garage to share what Demyx had given him, everyone waiting to hear what he had to say.
"Thank you all for coming." Spyro said. "Now, as we all know, the organization is going around blowing up worlds and creating new Heartless and Nobodies, three of our friends worlds being victims of those attacks."
"Yeah, but we got our revenge!" Jade replied. "Larxene is no more!"
"Be that as it may, one world is still on the Organizations hit list." Spyro continued. He then pulled up a holographic projection of the world, which was New york city on the top half and a magical city on the bottom with dragons flying around it. :it's called Da Big Apple."
"Da Big Apple?" Rainbow Dash asked, she, Mandy, Pinkie, and Jade snickering.
"Yes, that is its name." Spyro replied. "They sent Xigbar to finish what Larxene couldn't and now it's in jeopardy. We need to go there and find the Keyhole before Xigbar does."
"And how will we find it?" Applejack asked.
"The Keyholes are well hidden, but there are some inhabitants that may know of it's whereabouts." Spyro replied. "Other than that, we have no other way of finding it."
"Well, guess we got on other way." Rainbow Dash said. "So, who's all going?"
"Well, the magical world is hidden, meaning that we need to really blend in." Spyro said. "Thankfully, I've been working on that spell Donald gave me. Hopefully I've worked out all the kinks."
"Hopefully?" Rarity asked.
"Alright, the team will consist of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy." Spyro said. "Gonna need some fliers to help look for the Keyhole."
"Oh, can I come with you as well darling!?" Rarity asked with glee. "We had to cut our trip short back in Manehattan, I want to visit another world that's a city."
"Well, I suppose it's alright." Spyro replied.
"And I'd like to come along as well." Jade said. "Beats being stuck as a griffon looking thing."
"Alright, the more eyes, the better." Spyro said. "We leave immediately."
A moment later, the hologram disappeared and up came the Gozanti cruiser, confussing everyone as he walked to it.
"Uh, Spyro, why are we taking this one?" Rarity asked. "Why not the Phoenix or the Crest?"
"Both are undergoing urgent maintenance and updates." Spyro replied. "Some of the old weaponry on them is being replaced in favor of some new hardware. But for this mission, we're taking the Gozanti Cruiser."
"Well, if you say so darling." Rarity replied.
The five of them walked towards the cruiser as the garage split itself in half, allowing for the cruiser to come up without any hinderance to itself rising from the floor. Once it was in the main hangar, everyone assigned to the mission boarded the ship and went straight for the cockpit, where everyone took a seat for the mission while everyone else backed away, the ship lifting off from the ground before taking to the air and into space above the world. Once out of range ot the worlds atmosphere, Spyro and Jade returned to their normal forms before Spyro put int he coordinates he got from Demyx, which the stars flew by as white and blue lights. As they traveled, Spyro turned to the girls and pulled up another hologram, getting their attention.
"Alright girls, listen carefully." Spyro said. "Before we left, I had AIVA do a full analysis on the world we're heading to. By the looks of it, it has dragons, unicorns, goblins, trolls, giants, a whole magical world hidden in plain sight."
"So, what, why do they hide from the humans?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I mean, we have been with humans before and they seem cool and all."
"Yes, but there are some who are very curious about thing they do not understand." Spyro replied. "It's best that we try to avoid such attention. And for that, we'll need the spell Donald gave me to change into forms that will help us blend into the worlds inhabitants."
"Wait, are you serious!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "But we never trained in how to fight in other forms!"
"Well, you're going to have to adapt then." Spyro replied. "Besides, you still have your magic and if I'm right, you might experience some changes to yourselves, even in your new bodies."
The three ponies looked at one another, looking to Jade to see if she knew anything about it, but she just shrugged her shoulders, not understanding it herself as they looked back out the window, but a moment later, they arrived at their destination, looking at the world before them as he got up.
"So how exactly are we getting down there?" Jade asked.
"You'll see." Spyro replied, walking to the center of the room. "We can't land this ship onto the world itself, otherwise we'll draw too many eyes and be labeled as aliens."
"We are aliens, considering we come from different worlds." Jade said.
"Fair enough, but still, we're not landing." Spyro replied. "Alright everyone, into the middle fo the room please." Everyone got up and walked over to Spyro, who had his keyblade out and placed the tip of it onto the floor of the cockpit, a white circle appearing on the floor around them as it shined brighter and brighter, forcing them to cover their eyes. "I hope this works."
A moment later, the light enveloped them and were turned into a single ball of white light, shooting out of the cockpit and towards the world below them to start their mission. Meanwhile on the worlds surface, Jake and his grandfather were in the park late at night, Fu following close behind while Yang remained out of sight, wanting to know what they were doing out so late at night.
"Now young dragon..." His grandfather said. "We dragons are creatures of immense and terrible power. But to unlock your potential, you must train to unlock the fundamentals. Fire!" His grandfather pointed at him and flames came out of his mouth as he grandfather continued. "Dragon Teeth, Dragon Tounge, Dragon Claws, Dragon Tail."
As he listed everything, it caused Jake to transform into his dragon form, looking at himself as he admired his form.
"Yeah, I'm all over it grandpa." Jake replied.
"And the Dragon student must obey his Dragon master." The grandfather added. "Without question, complaint, or hesitation."
"Totally." Jake replied. "I'm all about obeying. Whatever you say, whenever you say."
"Oh, he's going to regret that later!" Pinkie said, her head popping out from the corner of the screen before disappearing.
While they were talking, Fu was sniffing the ground, catching whiff of something before gagging and retching.
"Oh, yuck!" Fu shouted. "Blue cheese with a touch of sweat sock! It's the Huntsman! I know that foot smell anywhere!"
"The Huntsman?" Jake asked, reverting to his human form as boht he and his grandfather approached. "You positive Fu dog? What's he doing out here in the middle of the night?"
"You tell me young dragon." His grandfather replied as the dog threw some powder down to make the Huntsman's footprints glow. "The Huntsman's footprints go from the north to the south on the night of a full moon."
jake thought it over, but was clueless until Fu made a horse face, using his finger as a horn as he put it on his head, giving Jake the idea of what he's hunting.
"Unicorns!" Jake replied. "He's hunting Unicorns!"
"Bata-bingo, give the kid a prize!" Fu said.
"We have to go after him before he get's those Unicorns!" Jake said.
"Then we best make haste young dragon." The grandfather said.
The three of them then ran after the Huntsman to stop him before he could hunt down the Unicorns and harm them, not noticing that Yang was following them to see if she could help. However, as she left, a light in the sky came down from above, landing in the center of the pathway that Jake and his companions were before, the light fading to reveal Spyro walking out, looking around their surroundings to make sure they weren't spotted.
"Alright, coast is clear." Spyro said.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Rarity screamed. He then turned around and saw that Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash were now in human form, their clothes matching that of their human counterparts in the other version of Equestria, but for bit as they looked at themselves. "What is this... eugh... this!?" She wiggled her fingers, terrified of what she was seeing. "What happened to my hooves!? My beautiful hooves!"
"They're called fingers Rare." Spyro said, helping her up. "And they're connected to hands, which is what these are." He raised his hand up, wiggling his fingers to show her. "Welcome to your human form Rare, where you stand on two legs and wearing clothes all day."
"Wait, as in, we got to wear these things all the time!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Ugh, not cool."
"Hey, unless you want to be arrested for Public indecency, try not to take them off." Spyro said. "Now, we need to egt started on locating-"
"Hey, what's this?" Jade asked.
They looked to her, seeing that she was kneeling down to some glowing footprints on the ground, everyone walking to where she was and knelt down to look at them.
"Footprints." Spyro replied, looking at the direction they were going. "They're headed south."
"Could it be Xigbar?" Fluttershy asked.
"Possibly." Spyro replied. "Only one way to find out. Come on."
They all walked in the direction the footprints were walking in, following them to the river in the park and to their surprise, they saw a couple of white unicorns with pink manes, but they didn't have cutie marks, which caught everyones attention.
"Oh my goodness." Rarity said. "They're majestic, aren't they?"
"Rare, you're a unicorn too, remember?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Hey, keep quiet." Spyro said, everyone lowering down to the ground behind the bushes. "Xigbar could be nearby."
However, a little distance away, there was a man wearing green and grey clothing with black pants and gloves, wearing a dragon's skull observing the unicrons from a distance with his telescope.
"Ah, Unicorn horns." The man said, turning his telescope into a hightech spear, glowing green as he cut through the bushes. "Always a valuable commodity on the Magical Black Market."
He then started to sneak down towards the unicorns to claim their horns to sell off while Jake and his grandfather were watching from above, seeing him sneak down.
"Well what's going down here G?" Jake asked. "We gonna crack open a can of Smack-daddy on this Hunt's-chump or what?"
"Not we, you." His grandfather replied.
"Wait, you want me to take this guy on my own?" Jake asked.
"Jake, I will not be around forever to help you." His grandfather replied. "It's time you put your training to the test."
"Alright, put my mad Skizzels to the test." Jake said, cracking his fingers. "This won't be much of an issue."
"Hey, hey, make it good kid." Fu said. "I'm going to be calling Ernie to lay down fifty biscuits on you!"
The boy then leapt out of cover and sneaked down to fight the Huntsman, not noticing that Yang was following him, seeing the Huntsman and wanting to help out however she could. As for Spyro and his friends, they were still behind cover as they watched the Unicorns.
"Ugh, this is so boring." Rainbow Dash said. "When are we going to see some action?"
A moment later, they heard what sounded like grass being rustled, looking out to the Unicorns as they heard it.
"We're about to get some." Spyro said.
They all pulled small sections of the bush aside to see through it, but instead of seeing Xigbar, they saw the Huntsman, who was hidden behind a bush and watching them.
"Is that Xigbar?" Jade asked.
"No, that is definitely not Xigbar." Spyro replied. "Xigbar wears a black trench coat like the other Organization members and he's wearing an eyepatch."
"Oh, is he a pirate!?" Jade asked.
"Shhh!" Everyone exclaimed, silencing her.
As they watched the Huntsman, Jake appeared out from behind a tree, caching their attention as the Huntsman got closer.
"Who's that?" Rarity asked.
"Don't know, maybe his son?" Spyro said, not sure of it. However, a moment later, the kids face suddenly turned itno a dragon, spooking them. "Or maybe not."
"Kids a dragon!?" Rainbow Dash asked, whispering as she asked. "Dude, how is that possible!? I thought you were the only human who could change into a dragon."
"I thought the same." Spyro said, watching the kid.
The Hunstman got his weapon ready, the light charging in the weapon as he aimed for the Unicorns as jake smiled.
"Taste my dragon breath chump." Jake said.
However, as he tried to breath fire, it didn't come out, forcing Jake to try harder, but when he did, he ended up farting fire, sending the fireball to the bush Fu and Jake's grandfather were hiding behind while the Unicorns ran for it, making Spyro put his hand over his eyes in embarrassment while Rainbow Dash and Jade both laughed as Jake ran for the river after setting hsi shorts on fire.
"Oh man, that has got to be so embarrassing!" Rainbow Dash said. "Did... did you do that when you first tried to breath fire!?"
Spyro thought back a moment, the scene shifting to when he tried to breath fire, but ended up doing the same thing as Jake, Sora laughing while Riku was running for a bucket to put the fire out, returning to reality and looking at her.
"I'd like to exercise my right to plead the fifth." Spyro said.
"Dragon." The Huntsman said.
The then sprinted towards the kid, bent on attacking him while the others watched.
"He's going to attack that kid!" Fluttershy said.
"Spyro do something!" Rarity pleaded.
Jake looked back to see the Huntsman coming towards him, weapon at the ready as jake tried to fully transform.
"Come on, dragon up!" Jake said, his powers not responding. "Dragon up yo! Oh, now wuld be nice!"
"Say goodbye dragon!" The Huntsman said.
He swung his weapon, which started to glow green as he attempted to attack the kid, but Jake jumped out of the way, avoiding being attacked as he was engulfed into a fire ball, fully transforming into his dragon form and facing the Huntsman.
"Ha, is that all you got Huntsmen?" Jake asked. "Because I'm about to come up and-"
He was then kicked by a girl in a nija outfit, blonde hair done in a ponytail as she looked to the Huntsman.
"How was that Huntsmaster?" The girl asked.
"Very good Huntsgirl." The Huntsman said while Jake was down. "Your training has served you well. Now, to finish this dragon."
The Huntsman lifted his spear to fire at jake, getting ready to finish the kid off when a whip made out of purple sparks appeared, wrapping around one of the huntsmans hands and yanking him away and his weapon flew into the air. The Huntsgirl watched it go into the air as Spyro leapt over, grabbing it and landing on his feet, turning to the two hunters as he smiled.
"Geez, a grown man attacking a kid?" Spyro asked. "You must be really weak to be doing that. Why not face a real challenge instead?"
"Gladly." The Huntsman said, getting up. "Huntsgirl, deal with the dragon. Leave this interloper to me."
The Huntsman ran towards Spyro to attack while the girl got into a fight with jake, both fighting one another while Spyro just stood there, grinning as the Huntsman ran to him to attack.
"Think fast chucklenut!" Spyro exclaimed, tossing the spear.
The Huntsman caught it, wondering why Spyro would give it back to him when he ended up getting sucker punched, the young prince grabbing his ankle and slamming him into the ground like he was a rag doll. With Jake, he and the Hunts girl were circling one another, waiting for the one or the other to make a move.
"Come on now, what's a nice thing like you doing out hear hunting unicorns?" Jake asked with a smile.
He swung a punch to hit her, but the girl ducked, grabbing his arm before elbowing him in the gut, making him burp as the girl pinned his arm behind him.
"What's a nice guy like you doing outside in his undies?" The girl asked.
Jake looked down, finding his heart shaped boxers were exposed, smiling nervously as Spyro fought the Huntsman.
"Seriously kid!?" Spyro exclaimed, dodging the Huntsman's attack before flipping backwards.
"Huntsgirl!" The Huntsman said. "You have a golden opportunity to slay your first dragon! Finish it!"
He toosed her his spear, which is started to glow as the girl glarred at Jake.
"With pleasure." The girl said.
"Oh, you want to slay a dragon?" Spyro asked. A moment later, purple flames surrounded him as he suddenly changed into his dragon form, roaring out and looking down at the two hunters as they looked at him in stunned silence. "How about you try slaying me?"
"He's... he's huge!" Huntsgirl said.
"That's what she said." Spyro replied.
A moment later, a fireball came out of nowhere, blocking access to Jake as his grandfather came out of hiding, walking slowly to his grandson and to Spyro.
"This isn't over dragon!" The Huntsman shouted.
"Oh, it definetly is!" Yang said.
The huntsman turned around to see who it was that was talking and saw yang, only she punched him in the gut and her shotgun gauntlets went off, sending him flying away as the Huntsgirl chased after him, looking to Jake and Spyro.
"Wow, nice punch." Spyro said, reverting to his normal form.
"Thanks." Yang replied. "Didn't expect to see another person transform into a dragon."
"Another person?" Jakes grandfather asked, looking to his grandson as he gave a nervous smile.
"Yang!?" Jade asked.
Yang turned around, recognizing the voice and saw Jade was hiding in the bushes, her shock turning to happiness as she ran to her.
"Jade!" Yang shouted.
The two ran up and hugged one another, glad to see each other as Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy came out of hiding.
"Oh Yang, I'm so glad you're alright!" Jade said.
"I can't believe you're still alive." Yang said, ending the hug. "But what happened to you? Where the heck have you been? Is Ruby with you?"
"No Yang, she's not with me." Jade replied. "As for what happened to us, our world was destroyed."
"What?" Yang asked, feeling her heart skip a beat. "How?"
"A chick called Larxene." Jade replied. "She blew up our world. But we got her."
"You did?" Yang asked, looking disappointed. "Aw, I wanted a crack at her."
"You just might get your chance." Spyro replied, both girls looking at him. "Nobodies are pretty resilient. I bet fifty bits that she's still alive and getting fixed up."
"Meta!" Discord shouted, popping out behind him before Spyro punched him, knocking him out as he disappeared, everyone looking at him.
"You get used to it." Spyro said.
"O...k." Jade said.
"Hey yo, thanks for the save man." Jake said, walking over. "Guess I owe ya one."
"Aw, tough break kid." Fu said, walking over. "Kinda reminds me of those mountain trolls you tangled with last week." He then chuckled a bit, remembering Jakes failures. "Or the week before that, how you tried to take on those giants!" He then burst out laughing, remembering something even funnier. "Or the week before that, how those field pixies tollsed you a beating!"
"Wait, you got taken down by a bunch of pixies?" Spyro asked, trying not to laugh. "Wow, that's just embarrassing."
"Young dragon, you must learn that Smack-a-daddy does not come in a can." His grandfather said. "Tomorrow, we step up your training. Meet me on rooftop after school."
"Alright gramps." Jake replied.
"Mind if we come along?" Spyro asked. "We don't exactly have anywhere to go or stay."
"Can;t you just rent a room at a hotel or something?" Fu asked.
"Aw come on G, it's the least we can do for them." Jake said.
His grandfather thought it over a bit, looking at the group before sighing.
"Alright, I can provide them with some accommodations at my shop." The grandfather said. "I have a few matresses that you can use."
"Thanks sir." Yang said. "We'll make it up to you."
"It's the least I can do after you helped my grandson." The grandather said. "I am Lao Shi. And you are?"
"Oh, I'm Spyro." Spyro replied. "Spyro VanVickle. And these are my friends, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Jade Lemon."
"Huh, weird names." Jake said.
"Jake, be respectful." Lao Shi said. "Come, we'll get you set up."
They all walked out of the park and followed Lao Shi towards his shop, but as they left, Xigbar was watching them from the trees, having witnessed the fight as he smiled.
"Hmm, so the prince and his friends are here?" Xigbar asked himself, still smiling. "This just got a lot more fun."
At Lao Shi's shop, everyone was walking in and seeing all of the deviced on the shelves, seeing some damaged while others looked in pristine condition, walking to the back of the room and into a workshop.
"Right, the sleeping area is on the top floor." Fu said. "You need anything, just asked."
"Thank bud." Spyro said. "We owe you."
"Hey, it's no problem." Fu replied. "Say, you don't seem at all freaked out by a talking dog."
"Eh, we've seen weirder." Rainbow Dash replied.
"Your owner owns a repair shop?" Spyro asked.
"Yes he does!" Fu replied. "We fix everything! Well, everything except for Yangs arm there. It's trashed."
Spyro looked over to the blonde hair girl, seeing the damaged arm and walked over to her.
"May I have a look at it?" Spyro asked.
"Uh, sure." Yang replied. She took the arm off, revealing she didn't hand a left arm and made the girls, except for jade, gasp in horror, Spyro looking at the stump with the mechanical ring in shock and surprise as he took the arm. "Yeah, I lost it in a battle at our school. A bunch of Grimm attacked and I lost my arm... and a few good friends."
"I... I'm sorry." Spyro said, looking at the damage. "Let me see if I can get this arm working for you."
"What can you do that Lao Shi and Fu couldn't?" Yang asked.
"Trust me, there's a lot I can do with a bit of wiring and some metal." Spyro replied, walking over to the work station. "Mind if I use this?"
"Be my guest." Fu replied. "Heh, and while you're at it, see if you can get some of these other devices fixed as well. HAHAHAHAHA!"
Spyro looked at the dog while everyone glared at him, but Spyro smiled, accepting the challenge. While everyone went upstairs to get some sleep, Spyro got to work on the arm, repairing the device to get it working again and to see how it would opperate. The next day as everyone was getting up, Yang and Lao Shi were the first to come downstairs, yawning as they went to get some breakfast, but when they came inside, they were completely shocked, for in the workshop, all the devices that needed repairs were completely fixed, stacked neatly in small piles to make them accessable, DVD players and old cassettte players ont he shelves and the devices that were deemed unable to repair were repaired. They then looked to the work station and saw Spyro was still there, closing a panel n the arm as he stretched his back, cracking it as he got out of the seat.
"Oh, morning you two." Spyro said.
"Spyro, did you stay up all night and... and do this?" Yang asked.
"Indeedily do!" Spyro replied. "Figured it was the least I could do for our host."
"My young friend, you did not have to do this." Lao Shi said.
"Oh come on, I wanted to do it." Spyro replied. "Besides, it was good to get to work on repairing some of the old stuff. Oh, speaking of repairs..." He turned around and brought out Yangs arm, presenting it to her as she took it and saw that there wasn't even a scratch on it. "I manage to repair the damage, but I gotta say, that arm is good and all, but the material it's made of is absolute junk. I mean seriously, what kind of metal is it made out of that a Heartless can pierce it in one hit?"
"Heartless?" Yang asked, putting the arm on.
"Creatures born from the darkness in peoples hearts." Spyro replied. "If you fall to darkness, or a Heartless get's you, you turn into one. And unfortunately, they're here looking for the Keyhole."
"Keyhole?" Lao Shi asked, wondering why it sounded so familiar.
"It's the pathway to a worlds heart." Spyro replied. "If a Heartless crawls into it, then that world is screwed. Blinking out of existence. Much like Yangs world."
Lao Shi looked at the girl, seeing how upset she was about loosing her home and then looked to the repaired devices, smiling as he looked to Spyro.
"Young Dragon, you have done me a great service by fixing everything here." Lao Shi said. "For this, I am grateful and wish to do something for you as well."
"Oh, you don't have to do that." Spyro replied. "Allowing us to stay in your shop is enough for us."
"But I insist." Lao shi said. "Tell you what, I can ask the Dragon Council about the whereabouts of this Keyhole while you're here. This way, when we find it, you can do what you need to do and keep our home safe."
"Well, thanks sir." Spyro said.
"Morning Spyro." Rarity said, walking down and see all of the devices repaired. "Wow, darling did you fix all of these machines?"
"Sure did." Spyro replied. "It was actually kinda relaxing."
"Dude, you got a really weird way of relaxing." Rainbow Dash said.
"Eh, you got your way, I got mine." Spyro said. "Now, where's Jake?"
"At school." Lao Shi replied. "He maybe a dragon in training, but he's also a kid who needs his education."
"Eh, fair enough." Spyro replied. "Anyway, girls, I think it's time you learned how to fight in human form so you know what to do if I'm not there. Is there a place we can practice?"
"Yes, the rooftop will work for your needs." Lao Shi replied. "Come, I'll take you there."
Everyone then walked with Lao Shi to get to the roof so they could start training. Meanwhile in School, Jake was in a class on Mythology with a professor with a german accent, orange haint, wearing a dark green suit with a pink shirt and a red bowtie and wearing a monocle.
"And now class, we come to the topic on dragons." The professor said. "Now, if you would all turn to chapter 237 of my groundbreaking, but unpublished, 1984 thesis entitles 'Mythal Biology: The Scientific Study of Magical Creatures Among us', you'll see that i describe dragons as an evolutionary offshoot of the dinosaur! Thus, what can we cnclude about the size of the Dragons brain? Mr. Long!"
The professor then smacked his ruler on Jake's desk, spooking the kid.
"Oh, uh, I would probably conclude that dragon's have very large brains." Jake replied. "They'd probably be very smart, cool, and-"
"Incorrect!" The professor replied. "We can conclude that a dragon's brain is the size of a pea, maybe a walnut."
"But I thought-" Jake said as the professor pointed his ruler at him.
"Ab baba, quiet Mr. Long." The professor said. "And do be sure to write that down and it will be on your final examination."
"Aw man." Jake said.
"Uh, Mr. Rotwood-" A girl, who is dark skinned with black hair, wearing a purple and blue shirt with a butterfly and green cargo pants said.
"Professor Rotwood, Ms. Trixie Carter!" The professor said.
"Yeah, 'Professor' Rotwood..." Trixie said, not caring what his name or title was. "This is Mythology class up in here, right? So how is it you know the size of a dragon's brain? Elves, Unicorns, this stuff really isn't really real yo."
"Heh, yo yo, this is certainly the prevailing belief." Rotwood said, walking to the front of the class. "However, some great minds have devoted the bunk of their careers and their lives to proving otherwise. Yeah, yeah, well, you know this kind of academic courage doesn't come without a price. Of course not that I like being ridicules by ones colleagues!" Everyone then watched as the professor was starting to loose it, falling to his knees as they watched. "Or to be banished from every respectable educational institution in the world! Or even, so help me, or even being reduced to teaching in publiuc schools!?"
He then snapped his ruler in half, everyone starrign at him like he was a mad man as he knelt on the ground, but before he could continue, the school bell rang and everyone ran out of the class room as soon as the bell. After a while, once all the classes are done, Jake was walking out of the school and heading to the side walk, carrying a skateboard with a dragon on it as Trixie and one other kid wearing a dark blue shirt with a yellow stripe going around the mid section with an orange long sleeved shirt and wearing brown cargo pants, both wearing helmets as they too were on skateboards, rolling to their friend.
"Ay yo, Jake!" Trixie said, both she and the other guy stopping in front of him. "What's crackalating baby?"
"Yo, Trixie, Spud, what up?" Jake asked, the three of them fist bumping.
"Oh, you know, we're cruising over to Washington Park right about now." Trixie replied. "We're going to shred some serious asphalt. Last time we hit that place, Spud ended up getting a concussion."
"Heh, no way." Spud replied. "That was totally a case of subcutaneous occipital trauma." Both Trixie and Jake looked at their friend in confusion, not understanding how he knew that, but just dropped it. "Heh, no worries bros."
"Yeah, whatever." Trixie said, pushing Spud away. "So what up, you in or are you in?"
"Aw, that's sounds amazing Trix." Jake said. "But I can't. I gotta work in my grandpa's shop today."
"Again!?" Spud asked. "Dude that's like the... one, two, four, twenty, no... eleventeenth time this week dude! What up? You stressing me out yo."
"Yeah man, for real!" Trixie exclaimed in annoyance. "Don't we have like some child labor laws or something!?"
"Yo maybe next time, alright?" Jake asked, raising his fist. "Holla."
"Yeah, holla at your girl." Trixie said, fist bumping him.
"Catch ya later dude." Spud said, fist bumping Jake.
The boy then got on his skateboard and skated backwards, but as he did, he ran into a girl, blonde hair with blue eyes, wearing a white shirt with a blue collar, a red hairband, and pink pants. When he ran into her, she ended up dropping her books, which both of them reached down to pcik them up.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I..." Jake said, getting a look at the girl as his heart suddenly started to flutter. "Uh... hi Rose."
"Hi yourself." Rose replied., reaching down to pick up the books.
"Hey, nice dragon tattoo." Jake said, noticing the mark on her hand.
"Uh, it's actually a birthmark." Rose said, grabbing her book. "Well, guess I'll see you around."
"Yes, yes definetly!" Jake said as Rose left, trying to act cool. "Uh, I mean, if you have time and I have time, we could chill sometime." As she left, Jake's eyes turned to hearts as his tongue rolled out, having a huge crush on her when the bell rung, indicating the time as he looked horrified. "Shoot, I'm going to be late!"
He then skated behind an alley and changed into his dragon form, taking off to get to the training session before time ran out. On the roof, Spyro was watching Rarity and Fluttershy spar, Rainbow Dash sitting with Yang and Jade as they watched their friends fight while Lao Shi and Fu waited for Jake.
"Flutters, keep your blade up!" Spyro announced. "Guard! Guard! Rarity, this isn't a pageant show! Put your back into it!"
"Jake's going to be late in three... two... one." Fu said as he looked at his watch.
"I'm here, I'm here!" Jake shouted, swooping down, but ended up getting caught in a sheet and crash landed into the ground, skidding in front of Lao Shi and Spyro.
"You are late young dragon." Lao Shi said.
"You serious!?" Jake asked. "I was late by three seconds."
"Three seconds or three hours!" Lao Shi shouted. "Late is late!"
"He's gotcha there kid." Spyro said.
However as they were talking, the Huntsman was nearby watching them through his telescope, looking at Jake while he was in his dragon form.
"Ah yes, do you know what will look good stuffed and mounted on my wall in the hunts lair?" The Huntsman asked as the Huntsgirl arrived.
"Let me guess..." She said, taking the scope and watching Jake try to fly, but his tail got caught on something and he ended up getting tied up by his own tail, Spyro face smacking himself while lao Shi shook his head. "A few dragon skins?"
"Precisely." The Huntsman said, looking at Spyro. "But him? Oh, he'll make a fine trophy. Very few dragons every get that large, especially one so young. Question is, how do we take them?"
"By thinning out the herd of course." A voice replied.
They turned to their left, ready for a fight and saw Xigbar, sitting on the edge and watching his enemies as they untied Jake.
"What's the meaning of this!?" The Huntsman asked. "Who are you!?"
"The name's Xigbar." He replied, turning to them. "And I am about to become your new best freind."
A little later, they were inside of the shop, which Fu flipped the sign, indicating that the store was closed.
"Today young dragon, we will begin with old school dragon training." Lao Shi said.
"Yo, bring it on G!" Jake said, cracking his knuckles. "What are we learning today? Extreme aerial maneuvers!? A little fireball action?" He summoned a fireball, throwing it and nearly hitting Rarity, but Spyro reached out with the Force, stopping it in aninstant, surprising Jake. "Wow, that's wicked! Where'd you learn to do that?"
"Three years of Jedi training and discipline." Spyro replied. "Discipline in which you don't have."
"He is right young dragon." Lao Shi said, dropping a bucket. "Begin in bathroom."
"Say what!?" Jake asked, everyone looking at one another in confusion.
They followed the pair to the bathroom, watching them enter as Lao Shi lifted the toilet, which it looked disgusting.
"You must clean toilet, circular motion." Lao Shi said.
"Wait, seriously?" Rainbow Dash asked. "This is dragon training!?"
"Hey, I almost did the same thing to you girls once." Spyro said.
"WHAT!?" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"First clockwise, then counter-clockwise." Lao Shi added.
"Uh, ok I guess." Jake said.
He reached for the brush, wanting to get started when his grandfather smacked his hand away.
"Not with hand!" Lao shi said. "You must clean toilet with dragon tongue."
"WHAT!?" They all shouted.
"Ok, that's where I'm drawing the line!" Spyro said.
"Yeah gramps you're crazy!" Jake said, picking up the brush and revealing it was filthy, dropping it in the bucket. "Ah, ah, no way! Forget it!"
"Are you not Dragon student?" Lao Shi asked. "Did you not pledge to obey Dragon master?"
"Honestly G, I don't remember every single thing we agreed upon." Jake replied.
However, his grandfather tapped the mirror and it then revealed the past, revealing the moment that Jake agreed to listen to his grandfather commands.
"Totally." Jake's past self said. "I'm all about obeying. Whatever you say, whenever you say."
The magical window then closed, everyone looking to Jake, who looked like he was regretting ever agreeing to listen to his grandfather's teachings, but decided to listen, using his tongue to pick up the nasty looking toilet brush, which Rarity ran to find something to puke in while Rainbow Dash cringed at the sight, Fluttershy looking annoyed as she glarred at the grandfather for what he was putting Jake through.
"Ew, you cannot be serious!?" Jake asked.
"Circular motion." Lao Shi replied. "First clockwise, then counter clockwise." He then walking out while Jake was cleaning the bowl, complaining about the whole thing while Spyro, Fluttershy, and Yang gave disapproving looks to him as he pet Fu. "Hurry up! Grandpa has more 'Old school' training for you."
He then walked away from the others, clearly disappointed with what he was doing as Spyro opened the door, holding a tube of toothpaste.
"Here, you might need this after you're done." Spyro said, tossing it to him.
"Yeah, no kidding!" Jake replied, continuing to clean the bowl.
After he was finished, his Grandfather had him sweep the floors with his tail, sweeping the dust into his mouth, burping before having to do his grandpa's laundry, using his underbelly as an old school laundry board before having to hang them up to dry, balancing on the TV to get a clear signal for them to watch the baseball game, before using his dragon claws to massage his grandfather's feet and to use his dragon mouth to cut up some Junipers and other potted trees ont he rooftop, everyone watching him as he did this before the kid had to spit out a pigeon he accidently caught with his mouth.
"Oh, that's foul." Rainbow Dash said, making Yang and Jade snicker.
A moment later, they heard Jake's friends roll by, the young dragon looking over the edge to see them strolling away, his ears lowering down as he wished he could join them. Spyro could sense how unhappy he was and walked over to the poor kid, leaning over the edge as he watched the kids roll by.
"You want to join them, right?" Spyro asked, looking at the street. "You miss being able to have fun with your friends without all of this responsibility thrusted onto you."
"Darn straight." Jake replied, looking at him. "How do you do it? How are you able to balance your life with being a dragon and having to keep your identity a secret from your friends and family?"
"Oh, that's easy." Spyro replied. "I don't hide it."
"Wait, what?" Jake asked.
"My friends know I'm a dragon." Spyro replied. "As do my parents. They also know all about my powers, my new reponsibilities, they know that what I do is important. You just need to tell your friends and family what's going on."
"But... but what if they won't accept me for me?" Jake asked. "I mean, my pops doesn't I'm a dragon. He's a goof and if we told him, he'd probably faint from absolute shock. I get my dragon powers from my moms side, though it skipped her generation and it got passed down to me and my sister, who is discovering her dragon powers faster then I am. What's up with that yo!?"
"Then you're better off without them." Spyro replied. "A true friend will always accept you for who you are, not what you are. If they won't accept you, then you know they're not true friends. And if your family won't accept you for who you are, then try to make them understand, see how you being a dragon is a necessity rather than a danger to the magical world and the inhabitants that need you. A good, loving parent will always stand by your side. Always."
A second later, they heard the toilet flushing, looking to see Fu come up with a newspaper with a mischievous grin.
"Hey Jake, the toilet's going to need a bit of a touch up." Fu said. "A goo, ga-googoo WOW!"
He then ducked down as a fireball came flying over his head, narrowly avoiding him while Jake looked annoyed, ready to tear him apart when Spyro put his hand on his shoulder.
"Your grandfather's training, or should I say chores, may bear some fruit, but how would you like to learn a few things from me?" Spyro asked, Jake's eyes lighting up.
"You serious!?" Jake asked.
"Why not?" Spyro asked. "What do you say?"
"Totally!" Jake replied. "When do we start!?"
"Tomorrow after school." Spyro replied. "But, not right after school. Give yourself an hour of you time. You need it."
"Aw sweet!" Jake exclaimed happily. "Thanks man! You the man!"
"Jake, come down and finish sweeping!" Lao Shi shouted.
"Aw man." Jake said, walking to the door.
"Oh, that's just so mean of his grandfather!" Fluttershy said. "I'm so furious, I could scream!"
"Yeah, try not to damage your vocal cords there Flutters." Rainbow Dash said. "Seriously, what does cleaning a toilet with his tongue or sweeping floors with his tail have to do with being a dragon? You ask me, his grandfather is using him as a house boy."
"A seed does not question where the wind takes him." Spyro replied, confusing them "Besides, there are some techniques one can learn from just doing regular house chores. Like Mr. Miyagi teaching Daniel the proper form of karate."
He walked away from them, confusing the group about who he was talking about, looking to one another and shrugging their shoulders as they followed him back inside. The next day, it was in the afternoon and school was getting out, so Jake was walking out of the school skateboard in hand when he spotted Rose, his thoughts instantly traveing to a day dream where he and Rose were together, running and dating in the park, skating in the ice ring, standing on the top of a roof of the Empire State Building, seeing a plane fly overhead writing out 'Rose and Jake forever.' But it was then interrupted when Trixie snapped her fingers, snapping him out of his daydream and back to reality.
"Ay yo Jake, wake up!" Trixie said, snapping him out of it. "You still crushin' on that Rose girl? Seriously Jake, she's so far out of your league, you don't even know."
"Dude, she like Tiger birding the eighteenth on Pebble beach." Spud said. "And you're like nine putting the windmill at Coney Island Mini golf."
"Yeah, just forget her man." Trixie said, throwing down her board and putting her helmet on. "Besides, we got some serious business. They just reopened the 14th street Skate Park. We are so going to hit that!"
"Oh, sounds sweet Trixie, but I can't." Jake replied. "I gotta-"
"Dude, no!" Spud said, looking annoyed. "Not working in the shop again! That's like the... uh let me see now..."
"Oh for, wake up Jake!" Trixie said. "That old man is like totally stealing your youth man!"
"I... I can't Trix." Jake replied. "I just can't do it."
"Alright, but you're missing out man." Trixie replied, skating away with Spud.
A moment later, a blue courier pixie appeared with a letter and a clipboard flying in front of Jake as he looked at her.
"Sign here please." The Pixie said.
Jake signed the board and the Pixie gave him the letter, the young dragon opening it as a cloud of white smoke appeared and an image of his grandfather appeared in it looking serious.
"Hurry up and get to training!" Jao Shi shouted. "Must use Dragon Teeth to scopp sludge out of Grandpa's rain gutter!"
"Seriously!?" Jake asked as the smoke cleared.
He looked down, looking at his board and his helmet, thinking about all the fun he was missing out on as he looked to his friends, who were skating away to have fun.
"Your grandfather's training, or should I say chores, may bear some fruit, but how would you like to learn a few things from me?" Spyro said, Jake remembering what he said. "Give yourself an hour of you time. You need it."
jake looked up, smiling as he put the helmet on his head, skating after his friends.
"Yo Trix, Spud, wait up!" Jake shouted, skating after her.
Meanwhile at Lao Shi's shop, everyone was relaxing after having some time to train while waiting to find the Keyhole, Spyro and Lao Sho standing together as they waited.
"Ay ya, Jake is one hour late for training." Lao Shi said, looking at his watch.
"You mean doing your chores?" Rainbow Dash asked, clearly annoyed with him. "Why don't you do it instead, since you're, oh I don't know, a dragon and all!"
"Rainbow Dash." Spyro said, getting her to be quiet.
"Something bad must have happened to him." Lao Shi said. "I got a bad feeling deep in my stomach."
"Uh you're telling me." Fu said, his stomach growling. "But I guess that's what we get for eating at a place call the 'Chimichanga Chuck Wagon." A moment later, he farted, which disgusted everyone as he got up to go to the bathroom. "Oh, hold down the fort pops! Natures calling 9-1-1!"
He rushed to the bathroom, leaving everyone else alone as lao Shi looked out.
"Jake, where are you?" Lao Shi asked. "Something must be wrong."
"He's probably just having fun, which I suggested to him to have." Spyro said.
"What!?" Lao Shi exclaimed. "Why would you do that!?"
"Because he needs to have fun and unwind." Spyro replied. "You can;t expect him to train everyday, do you?"
"He's a Dragon!" Lao Shi shouted. "He needs to understand how his powers work!"
"He's also a kid!" Spyro shouted back, surprising everyone. "You can;t expect a kid to continue to work and train their entire lives like that do you!? Many kids out there study all day long, not having a day to have fun, be a kid, and to hang with their friends!" Storm clouds had gathered overhead, threatening to eletrocute Lao Shi as he stepped back, but Spyro relaxed, calming down as the storm went away. "Jake needs to be a kid, have at least one day one day to himself where he can enjoy life, be a kid, and to have overall fun without having so much responsibility on his shoulders. Can't you alteast give him that?"
Lao Shi looked at him, looking down at the street as he saw some kids playing and having fun near some vendors, seeing how happy and carefree they were before looking to Spyro.
"Perhaps you have a point my friend." Lao Shi said.
"Oh, is he now?" The Hunstman asked. They all turned to the direction of the voice as a green flash appeared, the Hunstman and Huntsgirl appearing in front of them. "You were right to be worried dragon. Now you will be slain along with this other dragon."
"You again?" Spyro asked. "Dude, nice entrance, do you do birthday parties?"
"Amusing, but not amusing enough." The Huntsman said.
"Ah, huntsman, it's always a pleasure, to defeat you!" Lao Shi said.
He then changed into his dragon form, everyone looking up to see he was a blue Chinese fire dragon, sending three fireballs at the Huntsman, but he spun his spear around, deflecting the fireballs, but Spyro charged in, calling his Keyblade as he engaged the huntsman in one on one combat. However, the Huntsgirl engaged Lao Shi, jumping up on him and he tried to attack her, but she jumped down, avoiding the attack, so Lao Shi went after her, but when he tried to lung for her, he ended up stopping, finding that he was tied up in a knot, the dragon looking at her. As for Spyro and the Huntsman, the Huntsman fired a net made out of Sphynx hair, pinning Spyro to the ground while he did the same to Lao Shi, the net pinning him to the chimney and turning him back to human form.
"Bugga!" Spyro shouted. "Sphynx hair!"
"Correct little dragon." The Huntsman said. Pure Sphynx hair, cpabale of negating a dragons magic almost instantly."
"Hey, leave them alone!" Rainbwo Dash shouted.
The two of them looked to the group, who were all charging in, but the Huntsman fired his nets at them, pinning Rarity and Fluttershy while Rainbow Dash slide and avoided the nets. She then charged towards the Huntsman to attack him, calling her Keyblade and swinging to hit while Jade and Yang engaged the Huntsgirl, Yang throwing fists to hit her while Jade turned her revolvers into short swords to help with the fight. However, as Rainbow Dash was fighting the Huntsman, Fu was watching from the bathroom, watching as his friends were doing their best to fight them off, but were no match for the two enemies as they started to fall one after the other.
"Oh, this is bad." Fu said. "I gotta get help. How how am I gonna..." he then looked at the toilet, knowing that he was going to regret it as he jumped into the toilet. "Oh, looks like I'm flushing myself down the toilet again! I gotta get Jake!"
He then pressed down on the handle, the toilet spinning him around as he was then flushed down the drain pipe to try and find Jake and get his help. However, as he went, Rainbow Dash was tossed aside, hitting the ground while Spyro reached for his lightsaber to cut the net, feeling his powers grow weaker by the second as he reached for it.
"You will not interfere with my girl!" The Huntsman said, pointing his weapon at Spyro. "This dragon will make an excellent trophy, once I turn him into his dragon form!"
His weapon then started to charge up as Rainbow Dash regained her bearings, looking to see that he was getting ready to finish Spyro off as he struggled to free himself.
"Spyro, no!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
She then got up and charged towards the Huntsman again, yelling out as she charged, but it got his attention as he spun around and fired at her, nailing her int he chest and sending her crashing into the outhouse, much to Spyro's horror as she slumped down, smoke coming off her chest as Spyro could feel his heart stop.
"RAINBOW!" Spyro shouted.
He managed to get his lightsaber out and activated it, cutting himself free as he got up and ran to her, swinging the saber and just grazing the Huntsman's chest, though it wasn't fatal, it caused him to fall to the ground as Spyro slide to Rainbow Dash, seeing she wasn't moving, reaching down to see if she had a pulse, but his hands were shaking as he feared the worse, too emotional to sense through the Force if she was alright or not as tears rolled down the sides of his face.
"Don't worry dragon, you won't be morning over her long." The Huntsman said, Spyro looking to him as he immediately saw red. "You'll be joining her soon."
"You!" Spyro exclaimed, his eyes turning blue as dark blue flames appeared on his shoulders. "You... RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
A moment later, the dark flames erupted from him, washing over the area as it burned the Sphynx hair pinning Rarity and Fluttershy, Jade, Yang, and the Huntsgirl looking tothe flames as they went towards them, so they dove for cover, narrowly avoiding them as a dragon skull and bone claws appeared, the skull roaring out in rage as Spyrp's body was covered in darkness.
[unknown voice]
Primitive Dragon!
A second later, the crunching of bones followed, the dragon roaring out as it swung it's claws, the huntsman avoiding the attack as he ducked down while the Huntsgirl leapt up, just missing them as the dragon turned to Rarity and Fluttershy, the claws reaching out and caught them, pulling them into the air as dark energy entered them in the form of dark purple lightning, making them scream as Rarity turned into her ethereal unicorn form, but the eletricity caused the color of the coat to turn black, the mane becoming longer and wavier than usual with white streaks in it as it's eyes glowed a sinister blue.
Shadow Radiance!
The same thing happened to Fluttershy, except she turned into her ethereal pegasi form, but as the eletricity enter her, the wings returned to bat wings, the color becoming a little darker as her own mane got bigger and bats appeared around her.
Flutterbat!
Get!
The dragon skull then pointed it's claws towards the Huntsman, releasing the nightmare versions of the two ponies as the music picked up, the Huntsman forced to dodge as the two ethereal ponies charged towards him, firing at them, but the blasts had no effect on them as the dragon again, the ethereals running to the dragon as darkness surrounded the shadowy outline of Spyro, the ethereals running in after him.
Darkness unleashed!
"I don't know what devilry you're doing dragon, but I will make sure it never happens!" The huntsman shouted, firing into the darkness but missing as the dragon moved around.
Baki Boki Bone!
Gaki Goki Bone!
P-ri-mi-ti~~ve... Dragon!
The dragon then wrapped it's claws around Spyro, the skull restng over his head as the flames dies away, Spyro roaring out in rage as he slammed the ground, sending out a shockwave that almost caused everyone to fall as they looked at Spyro, who was wearing the same blue bone dragon armor, but this time, his right side was completely dark with blue gems on the arm, shoulder and up the leg, glimering in the sun, though beautiful, the crystals were shard as the hand had sharp crysal claws at the tips of the fingers. The left side however was covered in dark plants and had a gauntlet that looked nearly vampiric, vampire bats engraved into the armor as dark versions of pony heads were on his shoulders, growling at the huntsman as the Huntsgirl joined him.
"Huntsmaster, what is that?" Huntsgirl asked, ready to fight, but felt her stomach turn as she looked at it.
"A whole new challenge Huntsgirl." The Huntsman replied, raising up his weapon as he seemingly smiled underneath his mask. "A whole new challenge."
