It's All In Your Head
Chapter 83: Prepare
--
"I brought you something to eat."
Naruto didn't bother to look up. What was the point? He knew what Itachi Uchiha's vessel looked like, and he was well aware of the interest he'd find flickering in those otherwise hollow eyes.
Naruto didn't care to face any of it.
So he didn't.
The only reaction he gave to acknowledge the raven's presence was to simply pull his legs closer and sink further into the wall, wishing that it's unrelenting surface offered more leeway. That the thing at his back was as much a monster as the one walking towards him. That it could devour him entirely, taking him away from his captor and whatever else he had planned for him.
Unfortunately the only monster here was his warden, and the wall behind him offered little in terms of comfort or refuge. So Naruto was left trembling against it, wondering what Itachi would do next. How far he intended on taking this.
Naruto's only relief at this point was that he was no longer lying on Itachi's bed.
Not that the floor was much safer since he was still chained to the damned thing, but at least it felt like less of an invitation this way.
Naruto had abandoned the unfamiliar mattress for the hard dusty floorboards pretty quickly after Itachi left. He wasted no time putting as much distance between him and the bed as possible- choosing to sit on the far side of the room in its place. The chain binding his collared throat to the daunting monstrosity lay stretched across the open space between them in a long looped trail, still plenty of length left before it reached a taut end.
Naruto had not searched the room yet, but he doubted there was anything in it that would be all that helpful as far as freeing him from his restraints. The collar continued to siphon off his and Kurama's chakra and there was no doubt in his mind that Itachi had fortified the chain with his own chakra- much as Sasuke had done when he had kept him imprisoned in his room in Orochimaru's hideout. Even if he somehow got his hands on a weapon, which was highly unlikely, it didn't stand a chance of breaking through something like that.
The only option that left Naruto with was breaking the bed post instead. It wouldn't help him get any chakra back, but it would give him the chance to escape.
If nothing else, he would be able to get the fuck out of this room.
Naruto considered breaking the thing right away, and was just about to start, when he heard Itachi fumbling around in what could only be the kitchen. Which meant Itachi would easily be able to hear everything he was doing as well.
If he started smashing the bed into smithereens Itachi would just rush in and stop him immediately. Best case scenario he'd get punched in the face and the bed would get a chakra boost, removing any chance of Naruto breaking free from it. Worst case? Well..
Itachi might feel the need to teach him a lesson.. to punish him.
It was that horrifying thought, and the unknowns behind it, that kept Naruto from attempting any sort of escape. For now, at least. He would bide his time and wait for the right moment to strike. Preferably when Itachi was out of earshot.
Until then the most he could do was avoid being anywhere near that bed and avoid drawing any sort of attention to himself. The longer he stayed under Itach's radar, the safer he'd be.
Naruto stared at the chain lying loosely at his feet, wondering just how far he could go before it stopped him. He had a feeling Itachi did the same thing that Sasuke did. He would be able to make it to the bathroom, but probably not much further than that. All else put aside, those Uchihas definitely planned ahead when they decided to keep someone prisoner.
The wry observation did little to calm his nerves so Naruto let the thought fade and instead turned his attention to his surroundings. Which he realized he had yet to take a good look at.
When he woke up and first glanced around he had initially noticed the ivy hanging limply down one wall, and the crisscrossed wooden beams hovering over him, but hadn't noticed much past that. So he took a moment to examine the rest. Naruto quickly noted that there were no windows, and just the one door in and out.
He forced down his disappointment as he scanned the rest of the rather inescapable room.
The walls were cream colored, their paint chipping away in no clear pattern- as if it was just as eager to bail on this place as he was, but was having some difficulty getting a good start. The dresser, small wooden chair, and side table didn't match- just a misfit bunch of furniture forced together under one roof.
Seems fitting.
The pitcher of water was still perched on the small table and his glass had been returned to its side, waiting to be useful again. There was also a closet tucked off to the side- the doors partially opened, revealing a small collection of dark disinteresting shirts.
It wasn't all that noteworthy, but even so- Naruto really had failed to see most of it up until now. And he shouldn't have. A ninja was supposed to be observant, among other things of course but that was a pretty basic start. Typically Naruto would have at least surveyed his surroundings, got a feel for where he was, but the bed had preoccupied his mind pretty quickly once he was fully awake and he hadn't been able to think past it.
Well, that and the clothes that didn't belong to him.
Speaking of which..
Naruto glanced down at the navy blue t-shirt hanging loosely over his small frame, the dark sweatpants sitting low on his hips. The clothes were a little too big, and undeniably not his. If the ill-fit wasn't convincing enough, the colors alone said plenty. Naruto wore more black than he ever did before, but he was pretty sure he had never owned anything that shade of blue.
Hell, the only time he had ever worn that color was when he had borrowed Sasuke's clothes..
The realization made his heart come to an abrupt stop before suddenly lurching back to full speed. Because with it came a sudden, horrifying thought.
Naruto slowly reached back and slid his wrist across the back of his shirt. The material was different there, firmer. Like thin plastic.
Or paint.
Unable to feel anything with his thickly bandaged hand, Naruto dragged his exposed wrist further up his back, tracing the unique texture. The sick in his stomach crawled up the back of his throat, and it took everything in him to force it back down. He couldn't see it, but he quickly guessed at what was drawn on the back of the shirt he now wore.
After all, he had seen Sasuke wear one just like it. Many times.
The Uchiha symbol.
Itachi had brought him back here, stripped him of his clothes, and put him in a shirt that marked him as part of the clan. Like he belonged to them.
Like he belonged to him.
A fresh wave of nausea crashed through him, and Naruto dropped his head back against the wall as it ravaged his mind with endless fears and the same haunting memories that refused to fade. Yes, Itachi had kept him prisoner before but this was something entirely new. This Itachi was already far more possessive than his live counterpart had been.
Or maybe not, he thought. Maybe the part of him that kept that hidden just isn't there anymore.
Maybe that's one of the many things that failed to come back when Kabuto resurrected him..
That thought, among others, tumbled around in his head over and over without abandon until Itachi's voice pierced through all of it. Whatever else had been there dissipated the moment his captor spoke. And Naruto was helpless to focus on anything else.
Itachi came in and happily announced that he had prepared food for him, likely expecting some kind of positive reaction, but Naruto had absolutely no intention of feigning interest in it. He was still trying not to retch all over the floor with his many fears and revelations. He definitely didn't need to add food to the mix.
Besides, he still remembered what Itachi had done to his food the last time he was in this situation. How he had forced him to eat, threatened him with the Mangekyou. And when that wasn't enough he even went so far as to make him his favorite meal- all as a way to ensure that he was pumped full of drugs that would keep Kurama locked away. And Naruto utterly helpless.
No, he wouldn't touch the stuff.
He didn't trust the real Itachi. There was absolutely no way he could ever trust the broken remnants of him either.
Itachi either didn't notice the blonde's disinterest or chose to ignore it. His approach didn't falter, his smile didn't waver. He simply strode over to him, his steps quick and sure, and took a knee before the blonde.
"Here. I brought you something to eat" he repeated, patiently waiting as he held a bowl out to him.
Naruto turned away from the dish, his mouth curled in disgust. "I'm not eating that."
"You don't have a choice" Itachi shot back, his voice sharp and bridled with rage.
The sound of it sent a hoard of goosebumps down Naruto's arms, but still he maintained utter noncompliance. He knew it was unlikely that he would be able to hold this stance for long, but he refused to make things easy for him. And it shouldn't surprise the guy. If he really did hold all of Itachi's memories, then he should be able to recall the many times that Naruto had acted out of spite- all of the ways he refused to play by his rules and defied the notion of being his obedient little prisoner.
Naruto had always resisted.
He rejected the Uchiha's advances time and time again, fought back, ignored his orders, challenged his authority, rebelled against his demands.
And now that history was repeating itself, he would do it all over again.
--
Itachi remembered the blonde's constant defiance, of course he remembered, and it still aggravated him to no end. He couldn't fathom ever having the patience for it- now was no exception.
The irate raven clenched his jaw tight, forcing a vein to click into place. A fire ignited in his pupils as he eyed his stubborn prisoner, a flame that grew stronger with each passing second. He was different from the original Itachi, he could feel that down to his nameless marrows, but their temper seemed to be an exact match.
Itachi roughly grabbed the blonde by the back of the head and jerked him back to face him, eyes blazing as he met those defiant blues. "Eat" he growled, a final warning.
"Fuck you."
Itachi grabbed a fistful of rice and shoved it into Naruto's face, forcing about half between his lips and grinding the rest across his cheek as he turned away. Itachi clapped a hand over his mouth hard, slamming his head back against the wall. Naruto gasped and the unwanted morsels slid further down his throat. He eyes bulged as he choked behind Itachi's hand, but he wouldn't let up.
"Hmmnphh!!"
Naruto hit his bandaged hands against Itachi's wrist, his own throat, fighting to breathe again. Tears fell down his cheeks as his windpipe constricted around the food forced inside. He stared up at the raven, wide eyes pleading with him to stop, but Itachi just pressed down harder.
He narrowed his dark eyes, not a hint of sympathy in their depths. "Swallow it."
Naruto beat his hand against his own throat until the lump inside inexplicably loosened and he was finally able to do as he was told. Itachi studied him for a moment longer before finally releasing him. He sat back on his heels and reached for the bowl toppled on the floor, and Naruto saw his opening. He clenched his fingers as much as he could around the thick bandage and punched the Uchiha across the face. The momentum of it snapped Itachi's head to the side, but it didn't appear to inflict any pain. Not in the slightest.
Because he's not actually alive, Naruto recalled.. just before Itachi retaliated.
He grabbed the blonde by the side of the head and slammed him down to the ground. Naruto cried out as his head cracked against the floor, darkness consuming his vision fast. He breathed through it, forcing his consciousness to stay, and immediately wondered if it had been a mistake to do so.
"Nnhn.." Naruto groaned and tried to get up, but Itachi kept a secure hold on the side of his face, and pressed him harder against the floorboards. Naruto struggled beneath it, but all resistance faltered as Itachi's face came into view. He laid his head down in front of him, mere inches from his own. Close enough for Naruto to feel his cool breath against his lips.
Naruto faintly wondered if breathing was more a force of habit for Itachi at this point than it was an actual necessity, but the useless thought fled from him as those dark eyes flickered red.
"Acting like this won't keep me from wanting you, Naruto. You know that, don't you?"
Itachi's threatening gaze dropped down to his lips, effectively silencing him. Naruto pressed them together tight, hoping it would be enough to dissuade the raven from acting on his impulses.
"I will punish you if I have to" Itachi said smoothly, sending a chill down Naruto's spine, "but I'd rather not hurt the person I love."
Love?! Are you kidding me?! This isn't love, Naruto's mind screamed.
You're just a fractured fucking puppet! You don't know what you're talking about!
He knew better than to say it, than to say anything, so he just laid there- his face pinned to the floor, helpless and silent as he watched his warden gradually draw closer. Those lifeless lips brushed against his own and Naruto flinched, violently. Itachi didn't seem to mind, but he did seem intent on being gentle. He leaned in again and pressed his lips against Naruto's once more, only slightly firmer than before, and smiled as he pulled back. Like he was kissing his lover and not someone chained to his bed, covered in rice and forced face down on the floor.
He kissed him as if Naruto wanted him to.
Like he truly believed that.
And maybe he does, Naruto thought, horrified by the thought but pretty convinced that it was true. Maybe this broken shell of Itachi really is that delusional.
It explained what he had seen so far. The way Itachi acted in Kabuto's lab, studying his face as he caressed him, searching for the look lovers shared with each other in place of the sharp fear his victim gave him instead. This Itachi, despite the few moments of clarity he experienced earlier, was still under the impression that Naruto wanted to be with him. That his feelings had weakened with the time they spent apart, because of it, and that he would be able to win him over now that they were together again. That he could rekindle a spark- not realizing that it was never there to begin with.
Naruto's feelings, their moments of tenderness, stemmed from his desperation to be back with Sasuke. It was never meant for Itachi.
A truth that this Itachi refused to hear, a lot like the last one. Though there seemed to be more to it with this version. Itachi's vessel seemed almost incapable of understanding- like his fantasy was able to overshadow the reality he didn't want and made him completely blind to it.
Which made this Itachi far more dangerous than the last.
Naruto met the raven's eyes, fresh terror pulsing through him. Itachi met those fearful blues, unswayed and unbothered by what he saw inside.
"What I prepare, you will eat" he said resolutely. "Got it?"
Naruto didn't respond. He just stared back at him, knowing that the pain in his eyes would go unnoticed. That the humanity he appealed to when he was in this situation two years ago wouldn't work in his favor this time.
Because it wasn't there.
Itachi didn't wait for him to answer. He didn't need for him to. He was completely caught up in his own reality and Naruto's protests, his fear- they weren't a part of that.
The raven gave him a loving smile and moved his hand- no longer using it to pin Naruto's head to the floor. Instead he slid it down his whiskered cheek and brushed away a few grains of rice with the pad of his thumb. Naruto stayed frozen in place, but it took everything in him not to slap his hand away. After this undeniable display of strength.. and weakness.. Naruto decided that he would have to choose his battles more carefully. He couldn't just leap in unprepared.
He needed a plan.
He needed a weapon.
Otherwise he didn't stand a chance.
Light danced behind the deep black pits of Itachi's eyes as they scanned the blonde's rice-covered face. "You're such a mess, you know that?" His voice was gentle and unabrasive, the jest lighthearted, as Itachi dived once more into the lovers narrative he had conjured up for them.
And with no other alternative, Naruto just laid there. Waiting.
"Let's get you cleaned up."
The fear made a full return.
Itachi sat up and grabbed hold of Naruto's arm, pulling him up with him.
"W-wait. Just.. hold on a second.."
Itachi rose to his feet and brought Naruto to his- an iron grip still locked around his arm. He carefully guided the blonde around the mess on the floor and over to the door, ignoring the sound of the chain clinking against Naruto's collar and trailing behind them as he pulled him along.
"Itachi, wait-"
"I'll show you where the bathroom is."
"I don't need help with that."
Itachi quirked a brow at him, a look that was incredibly familiar. And for the briefest moment, Naruto thought the real Itachi might still be in there, just as desperate to escape as Naruto was.
That's impossible, he thought. The real Itachi is gone. This is nothing but a corpse with his memories. A poor replica.
The real Itachi isn't going to just suddenly appear and save you, he told himself. You can't rely on something like that happening.
The only person who can save you now is you.
Not a reassuring thought.
Itachi pulled Naruto into a small bathroom and blocked the exit as he gathered a few toiletries and placed them on the counter. He stepped around the blonde when he went to turn on the shower, but kept one foot on his chain- ensuring that he wouldn't be able to get very far.
So, some part of him is still aware that I'm his prisoner..
The Uchiha turned to face the blonde, and for a moment Naruto thought that he meant to stay. To join him. So when Itachi reached for him, Naruto flinched back and wrapped his arms around himself, afraid that he would try to remove his clothes next. Itachi paused and gave him an indecipherable look before reaching out to fondle his hair, his fingertips skating along his jawline.
"Call for me if you need me, ok?" he said quietly.
"I won't" Naruto shot back, pulling away from him.
"But you can" Itachi said, his voice taking on an unsettlingly husky tone. "I.. wouldn't mind if you did."
Naruto swallowed hard. "I want you to go."
Itachi's eyes hardened. "Don't forget what I said, Naruto. If you don't play nice I'll stop giving you a choice."
Tears filled those huge blue eyes, but Naruto manage to keep them from falling this time. "Please.." he choked, "I just want to be alone."
Itachi nodded, but before he left he grabbed Naruto by the throat and dragged him forward. He placed a contradictory gentle kiss on his lips, then released him. And as Naruto tried to regain control of his trembling frame, the Uchiha turned around and walked out of the bathroom, closing the door as far as the chain would allow.
Just enough to keep his word,
but not enough to make Naruto feel safe.
As soon as the bottom of the door clinked against the chain, and the sound of those footsteps faded in the distance, Naruto dropped to the floor. He buried his face against his knees, cradled his head in his bandaged hands, and cried.
--
Sasuke's heart slammed violently in his chest as they dropped down to inspect the next hideout. It was still well-concealed, nothing but an inconspicuous patch of dirt tucked off to the side of a small clearing, but unlike the others the soil here had been disturbed. There were no tracks to follow, not a single splintered branch in sight, and yet this small trace had gone unnoticed.
Clearly someone had been here.
And they did so without leaving any other trace of their arrival.
Meaning they must have travelled in the same fashion that Sasuke and Sai had. Well.. and Obito's shadow clone, though Sasuke chose to ignore his presence. That didn't matter. What mattered was that whoever was here was someone with the capability of traveling with chakra, leaping through the trees and for the most part leaving the ground undisturbed. It was a good sign. In fact, it was the only one they've had in the last two days.
Which made it very probable that Naruto had been brought here.
The raven glanced over at his unlikely comrade and the two exchanged a look. Clearly the same thought had passed through Sai's mind. And Sasuke could also see that, like him, he was vehemently trying not to get his hopes up. They had been deceived so many other times, it felt foolish to believe they had finally found Naruto.
But fools they were.
Because neither could ignore the feeling that they had found him.
That their painstaking journey was finally over.
Obito's shadow clone, which they had carefully supplied chakra to to keep him from poofing out of existence, glanced between the two, clearly noticing their shared sureness. "Should I alert the others?"
Sasuke shook his head. "Not yet."
He quickly repeated the same hand signs he had done countless times already and bit down on his tormented thumb for what felt like the hundredth time. He dragged its bloodied tip across the forest floor, watching impatiently as a glowing hatch slowly came into view. Without comment or hesitation he twisted the lever and opened the thick metal door, letting it fall heavily at his feet. He knew Sai would follow him inside so he didn't bother to look back as he stepped into the impending darkness, blood-red eyes spinning.
As soon as he walked in he noticed that the narrow hallway led to a steep set of stairs that descended into a dense darkness.
Not a problem.
Sasuke did a few quick hand signs and threw his arm down at his side.
"Chidori."
The piercing shriek of thousands of tormented sparrows shot out from his palm as violet electric pulses cut through the inky blackness. Sasuke let it guide him as he raced forward, eager to force his fistful of chakra straight through Kabuto's chest.
Sai followed close behind him, his usually blank expression pulled into a concerned scowl. "Sasuke. There are other means we can use to light our path. You do not need to use your chakra in such a reckless-"
"Shut up, Sai" Sasuke snapped over his shoulder. "If I wanted your opinion I would have fucking asked for it."
"Understood."
Which he did. Well, as far as Sasuke wanting silence in the midst of so many emotions went. Yes, he understood that. He had read plenty about anger and fear, and how people would seek refuge in many forms- including isolation. Yes, that part fit quite well.
What Sai did not understand was Sasuke's heedless use of chakra. The Uchiha was powerful, that was an undeniable fact, but that didn't make him any less susceptible to fatigue. With the lack of sleep and his refusal to slow his pace even for a moment, it was very likely that he would succumb to it sooner than later.
It was illogical to rush that by burning through chakra reserve like this. And yet, Sasuke continued to do exactly that.
Sai studied the back of the raven's head, considering his mannerisms and blithe disregard for his own well-being. Maybe he just wants to be ready, he thought. He doesn't want for there to be even a second when he isn't.
He pondered that further as they took a sharp corner and descended deeper into the earth. Maybe that's how he lost Naruto in the first place. Maybe all it took was one moment, one pause, one failed chance to act- and he's afraid that's all it will take again.
Sai decided that was the most likely reason, and therefore not something he could convince him to stop doing. As irrational as it may be, if Sasuke felt that it was the only way to save Naruto, Sai's opinion on the matter wouldn't mean anything. And it absolutely wouldn't be enough to change his ways.
Sai's final conclusion, therefore, was that he would just have to quicken his pace and focus on using every bit of his own skillset to find Naruto as fast as possible.
Before they were left with few options and little to no chakra.
Before whatever Sasuke was afraid would happen to Naruto..
Did.
--
"Itachi, what are you-?"
Itachi rolled on top of him, finding his way between Naruto's legs. He pressed his erection firmly against the blonde's stirring member, desire flashing in his eyes as Naruto shivered beneath him. He decided to test his luck and rolled his hips. Naruto bit his lip hard, barely holding back a moan and encouraging the raven even more. Itachi moved against him, grinding his want into Naruto's, riding out the passion he was suddenly swept away by.
He saw cerulean eyes roll before his blonde slammed his lids closed. His mouth made up for it, dropping open as he gasped for air. Itachi quickly leaned in and captured those lips with his own, shoving his tongue inside, craving the chance to do the same below.
The raven pulled back and watched his breathless blonde move fervently against him, clearly aching for a release that Itachi was just as desperate to give him.
A deep feral growl slid up Itachi's throat, as his need to be inside his blonde grew to the point of madness. He wasn't sure how much longer he could wait before he just took him- tearing into his unprepared hole like a savage beast. He was close. Really fucking close. But he didn't want to do that to him.
So Itachi forced back his animal instincts, moved his hand to Naruto's lips, and shoved two fingers inside. He ran them up the length of his tongue, coating them- his cock pulsing as he watched a thin trail of saliva slip down his chin. He wanted to replace the saliva with cum, but he wasn't willing to spend anymore time with foreplay.
He needed to be inside of Naruto.
Now.
Once he deemed that his fingers were wet enough, Itachi reached behind his blonde and slowly pushed a digit inside. Blue eyes shot open fast, widening at the sudden intrusion. He found Itachi's lustful gaze and stared into them.
"Wa-wait" he breathed. "I can't.."
Itachi's eyes flashed with desire, the heat of it burning through him. "Don't make me stop."
He pushed a second digit inside.
Naruto gasped and Itachi slammed his mouth over his, muffling his cries and any chance of protests.
Those big blues stared up at him, a flash of pain battling the desire swimming in its depths. Itachi's cock was impossibly hard, his desperation stronger. God, I want you so bad.
He pulled away from Naruto's soft lips, quickly removed the rest of their clothes, and pumped his blonde's want- watching him quiver violently beneath him as he did. He kept his fingers inside his hole, pushing further inside as Naruto thrust against his hand, fighting relentlessly for a release. Another gasp started to pull free, but Itachi kissed him hard- keeping it lodged in the back of his throat. He roughly thrust his fingers in his ass, matching the pace of his hand, and moved his tongue inside, penetrating every hole, faster and deeper- harder as his blonde's mind flared a blinding white.
"Mmhhnn!!" Naruto screamed against his lips as he came into his hand.
Itachi slowly pulled out of him, then moved fast as Naruto pulsed with the remnants of his release. He quickly brought his hand down to his own throbbing want, coating it with a thick layer of Naruto's cum, then brought it to his loosened hole. Which was exactly what it took to pull him from his daze.
"Ita-"
Itachi shoved his way inside, rocking his hips as he moved deeper.. slowly pushing his way into his blonde's tight little hole. Tears filled those wide eyes, and guilt rushed through him. Itachi leaned in and kissed them away, then rocked his hips a little deeper. "Don't worry, Naruto. It'll feel good.. nhnn- really soon."
"It's- ahhh, it's too much.." he gasped. "I can't.."
"Yes, you can."
Itachi shoved his palm against Naruro's mouth, trapping his pained moans behind it and pushed the rest of his length deep inside. A groan slipped from Itachi's lips as Naruto clenched down tight around him, the heat and pressure of it already driving him to the brink. But he didn't want to come- not yet.
Not until he thoroughly enjoyed him first.
Itachi let him adjust for a moment, but he could only wait so long. He pulled back then roughly shoved his thick want deep inside, all the way down to the base.
Again.
And again.
He found his rhythm and thrust harder into Naruto. He kept his hand pressed tight against his mouth as his fingers dug into his hip, forcing it up to meet every thrust until Naruto finally started to fuck him back. His legs wrapped around him and pulled him closer, and Itachi buried his face against Naruto's neck as he drilled into him. The bed groaned with him, and he moved his hand away from Naruto's face and shoved his palm against the headboard, holding it as steady as he could as he roughly fucked his blonde.
"Itachi.. I- I'm going to.."
The Uchiha ran his tongue up his neck and captured his lobe with his teeth. "Not yet. I want to come together."
Naruto trembled beneath him, a breathy whimper tumbling from his throat. "Pl-please.."
And that's all it took. Itachi bit down on his neck and shoved his hips forward as he shot his hot seed deep inside. Naruto stiffened beneath him as his own release shot through him, coating both of their stomachs. He took in a shaky breath and Itachi collapsed on top of him, his length still buried inside.
"Nnnhh- take it out."
"Don't want to" Itachi murmured.
"I'm not doing it again."
Itachi smiled against his collarbone as he rolled his hips, rubbing his tip against that delicious bundle of nerves.
"I bet I can change your mind.."
Itachi's eyes shot open, and his thoughts scattered in a million different directions, ricocheting around in his head as he fought his way back to reality. He looked around him, confused by the couch he was stretched out on, the emptiness surrounding him, the wooden beams staring down at his frazzled form.
He was completely disoriented, and it was taking such an inordinate amount of time for reality to fall back into place. And when it did, Itachi immediately wished it hadn't. No, more than that, he was having a difficult time believing it.
Because there was no way all of that was just a dream.
It had felt so real, so..
He glanced down at the impossibly hard erection chaffing against his zipper.
It had to be real. It just had to be. And if it wasn't, well then..
He'd make it real.
Itachi rose from the couch and made his way into the one bedroom that their newest hideout contained. Where his blonde was secured to their home's only bed.
Waiting for him.
He stepped inside and watched with displeasure as Naruto shot upright on the floor, those wide ocean eyes growing wider as he approached. It was the same look he gave him the first time he stepped into this room. Itachi had been nothing but gentle and accommodating, and had received nothing of the love he had expected in return.
Naruto met each of his genuine gestures with fear and resistance, and he just couldn't understand it.
Despite the rhetoric he spewed, Naruto didn't despise him the way he claimed to. Itachi's memories proved that. He had seen those fearful blues soften in them, had watched the tension flee from his face and a warm smile take over in its stead. Sure, Naruto was shy with his affection, but it was there nonetheless. He had seen it.
So he just couldn't fathom why he would hide that from him now. Yes, the Itachi he knew before had made some mistakes along the way, but Naruto had seemed truly devastated in his final moments despite all of that. Now that he was back, he should be receptive to everything that he offered him. A relationship. A home. And all of it with the very man he had pined over. But better now. Because he was the version of Itachi who had not violated or harmed him. He had not forced him into any horrible illusion with his Mangekyou- rather he had used it to save him!
Naruto should be overjoyed to be with him again. To start over with him.
He should want this as badly as he did.
--
Naruto watched with wide fearful eyes as Itachi moved towards him, his back blocking the light spilling into the room, encasing him in shadow. He couldn't see the look on his face as he approached, but he had a feeling he knew what he'd see if he could and it made it all the more terrifying.
Naruto forced himself further against the wall, pulling his feet beneath him, prepared to run if he had to. Obviously he wouldn't get very far, what with the chain securing him to the damned bed, but it was better than just standing there.
Itachi closed in and Naruto steeled his nerve and shakily rose to his feet.
"Itachi..? What are you-"
Those obsidian eyes burned with desire as Naruto unknowingly echoed the same words he had said to him in his dream. Reassuring the raven that he really could make it a reality.
"I knew you wanted it."
Euphoria swelled in his chest as terror bloomed in Naruto's. But Itachi failed to see what was really there, his mind still enthralled by his dreams and desires. He closed the remaining distance- eager to get started.
Naruto scrambled to get away from him, but he didn't get very far. Itachi grabbed a fistful of the chain trailing from his metal collar and jerked it back hard. Naruto gasped as the collar dug into his throat and went flying back- straight into Itachi's arms. Itachi tightened his hold on him and Naruto could feel something solid pressing firmly against his backside.
That's his-
All the color drained from his face.
Naruto wrenched away from him, spun back, and slammed his fist into Itachi's face. The raven didn't even flinch, but a jagged scream tore through Naruto on impact as the stitches in his hand snapped open. Blood pooled under the bandage, already tainting the pure white a gruesome shade of red.
The same color as Itachi's eyes.
Fuck.
Naruto took a fast step back but Itachi's hand shot out faster. He grabbed his wrist with a vice like grip and roughly dragged him across the room.
"St-stop! What the hell are you doing?!"
Naruto broke free, for a moment, but it only managed to piss the Uchiha off more. He grabbed the defiant blonde with bruising force and threw him down on the bed. Naruto scrambled to pull himself back, digging his feet and the heels of his bandaged hands against the bed to get better traction, but it wasn't enough. Itachi grabbed hold of his ankle and jerked the blonde towards him, impatience making his hands rough, his expression sour.
Itachi was tired of the game, the chase. He just fucking wanted him. He wanted to fuck him, as hard and fast as he did in his dream, and he wanted Naruto to cling to him while he did it. For him to match every thrust with one of his own and still beg him for more.
Itachi was tired of trying to convince Naruto to want it.
It was about time he just fucking did.
With newfound determination hardening in his blood-red eyes, Itachi climbed onto the bed. Naruto kicked out frantically, but Itachi easily forced his legs apart and crawled between them, his hands moving up his body as he drew closer.
"No! St-stop!"
Naruto continued to struggle against him, but it proved to be just as useless as everything else. When he shoved back against his chest with his forearm Itachi merely grabbed his wrists and pinned them to the bed.
"You don't need to put up a front, Naruto. I saw how much you liked this."
The blonde stared at him, horrified. "What are you talking about..? I didn't-"
"It wasn't a dream" Itachi insisted. "I know it wasn't."
"What are you talking about?!"
Itachi brought his body lower, letting Naruto feel his insistent want, the erection that still pulsed between them. Naruto flinched, but Itachi chose to see it as a shiver- one of excitement, of anticipation.
Just like the Naruto of his dreams had felt.
"Don't worry" he breathed. "I won't make you wait this time."
Naruto paled and after a brief terrified pause his instincts kicked in again full force. He bucked against his captor, screaming. He managed to kick him hard, but Itachi seemed completely immune to it. His grip never faltered, and that look in his eyes was as vivid as ever. He slid his lustful gaze down Naruto's body, letting reality and fantasy merge into one.
Entranced by the thought, Itachi released Naruto's wrists and grabbed his jaw instead. He squeezed down hard, forcing his lips to part. Naruto whimpered in his grasp, but all Itachi heard was his lover pleading for him to hurry. To save him from his insatiable desire.
"Soon, Naruto" he said huskily.
Itachi's body vibrated with every sensation. Every movement registering as a thrust for more, another plea for him to hurry. Itachi smiled at his lover's impatience and shoved two fingers in his mouth. Naruto gagged around them and Itachi eased back, dragging them along his tongue, letting his saliva moisten them, preparing for what comes next.
Tears fell down Naruto's face, but Itachi chose not to see them- instead convincing himself that it was only his mouth that made his hand wet. Nothing more.
Once he was satisfied, Itachi finally released Naruto's face. He was careful with his two fingers- not wanting to lose a single drop of the precious saliva coating them. He wrapped his free hand in the thick metal chain and jerked it down hard, forcing Naruto against the mattress as he slipped his other hand behind him. He shoved his fingers under the waistband of his blonde's dark sweatpants- the ones he had put on him earlier- and pressed one digit firmly against the hole he was aching to claim. Itachi traced the tempting entrance with his fingertip, wetting it, his whole body shaking with excitement.
Naruto tore at Itachi's arm frantically, desperate to pry him away, to break free from him, but he wasn't getting through to him at all. He tried to jerk his hips to the side, moving the finger away from his backside, but Itachi just grabbed his ass and forced him back.
"Itachi- stop! Pl-please, please don't do this! Please!!"
"Shhh.. I know. I know. I just have to loosen you first."
"No!! Stop! Stop! I don't want this!"
"Don't worry, Naruto. It'll feel good.. really soon" he murmured.
Just like he did before.
His dream, or memory, or vision.. whatever it was, it was slowly falling into place. All the pieces melding together.
Becoming the reality it was always meant to be.
"Please, Itachi! DON'T!!"
He slowly pushed one finger inside.

I know. I left you guys hanging for so long and then throw this flaming dumpster fire at you the second I come back. It's well.. ok, it's pretty fucked up. But in my defense it isn't easy reining in Cinnamon's cruel angsty ways. Sometimes I just have to let him go for it.
And I did.
