Everyone's favorite, weird, pervy yet awesome writer's back at it again with yet another chapter! It was taking me a bit too long to release this one, or even come back to this story, but after checking back on the last time i uploaded a chapter, it was legit 10 days ago, so i kinda told yall that im starting to have more time to myself than usual and i wasn't joking. Doubt things'll be like the golden times when i could do a chapter in a day or two, like UUUGH do i miss those times. The time i have now tho is a bit of a double-edged sword, cuz uhh...it's kinda been around a week since last time i've worked. i aint being a worry-wart about since i still got some good money saved, but holy shit, they bein' real stingy with letting my lewd, horny ass come in throughout the weeks. Like i could come in 5 days in a row and that wont put a dam dent into how much i write shit down for chapters these days. May give them tards a few more days before calling, but anyways.
I aint too sure how folks feel about this story, but i feel like it's in a really good spot, with this rival being such a powerful force throughout. Even tho our man Vrey isnt in this chapter, he's at least talked about but i've had thoughts of just giving this dood a chapter or two dedicated to him. i honestly never done that sorta shit, since with my writing i often try to even characters screen times out, more for main characters than side characters but still. i could've gave him a segment like in the previous chapter, but oml did this one get a bit too long with fighting and i was like "yeeeeeeah, folks're gonna be tired af after reading all this long-ass battling" lol. Now, like always, i try my best to think it out so it's at least still fun to read and tried a few things to saw thru any pacing issues with this battle, but look 8000 words is still 8000 words. If anything, i felt like i did a very good job with making a certain lil friend into a Main Character, and he should be a great addition. For his Pokemans, i still need to flesh 'em out but that'll come when the time's right. Before ending this intro section off, i'll put this in a Conversation post too, but now the pipeline of fics coming up looks like this: Rouge Miu Renamon La Brava (if the Etna one doesnt reach 1000 by this time) Renamon Lilac Mystery. I've been kinda missing some thicc bat-tiddy goodness, and that story looks like it'll end real soon, which'll be helpful cuz i at least finished A story. It also did crazy well view-wise (like holy shit, 41k here and over 30k on fanfic? dam dood), better than Renny, but people still talk about Renny more for obvious reasons. I like myself some Renny more, but im also really liking Miu too, so it's all still win-win situations if you ask me eue. Alright, enough rambling from me, read thru this chapter if yall haven't.
Chapter 5: Crave's Training. The Merciless Quick Combination!

Our twins wait for Josh to finish tying his shoes before heading out for a warm-up. He catches Cy talking with his girls, but continued going outside anyway. "*turns back once more, seeing the Machoke sitting on the roof, who remained seated and watchful* He looks all restless up there...Bet he's still down about his Trainer being gone..*turns to the twins* Yknow what girls..If we lose again, I wont feel bad. Terry's like a second Terrantio to him. Least I can do is be happy about his successes, yknow ^ ^" Josh was saying optimistically, bringing up the sisters' spirits. However, before they could even beginning a short spare, they had an unexpected visitor on the horizon. A somewhat, unwanted one. Shocker much! "*sees the Salazzle walking forward* I-it's you! You're the same Salazzle that's with Vreyian, right?!" Josh said in alertness, "He gave me a name, sweetie. When you hear Crave, your stomach shouldn't come to mind. Think of the feeling you have when you see me ;)" she suggestively said with a wink, "(G-geez tone it down there) *sees what she's holding at her hips* Who made you our nanny? Vreyian orders?" Josh asked, "*giggles* Well y'see..*seemingly appears by Tiff's side, rubbing her cheek with a finger* Your twins here are such eye-candy, I couldn't help myself but to pitch in, even a little " Crave answered, "G-go awerery from me! /" Tiff reacts, trying to push her away, but misses and falls on her face. After getting up, she sees her doing the same to Macey. "*shakes fists* Im trying to get a warm-up going yknow! I'd really like if you-" Josh was saying, "*snaps* Oh that's right too! Your conditions, oh how silly of me to forget" Crave prefaced playfully, "(What the hell's she on about?) I dont have the time for games, what is it?" he asked some more, "Hmhmhmhmm...*shows him the leggings and attaches an anklet to one* This isnt just a normal anklet. Oh! Or even a normal Mega Anklet. This one is rather special. It outputs the power from a Mega Stone by 5 times if equipped, and the Pokemon gets that very power. Now before you get excited. *shows the other side, showing cracks* The Trainer I stole this from used it up to three times and just look at the poor thing" Crave explained, "(Tch..Looks like it can only last for a fight)" Josh thought to himself, "But dont worry too much, I'll use no more than two moves and really pull my punches on your princesses" she said before taking a backward leap from Macey, leaving her to feel weak-kneed already.
Shaken from what he was told, Josh tries his best to gather himself. "We can only try our best here, you two. Just use them big ears and hear for me, no matter how bad it gets" Josh instills in them, "(Yawn, is pep talks all he's good for? Guess he really needs to learn)" Crave thought to herself, laying on her side. "Da- Hey get up, aren't you unprepared like that?" he asked, "Oh this is just part of me holding back. Dont hesitate now" she ensured, "If you say so...Tiff, Charge Beam" he commanded, and she fired a Charge Beam, which she stuffed by kicking up a big wall of dirt with a tail, to his surprise. "(Damn, no good eh..) Go ahead and use Jump Kick, then Macey, Dizzy Punch!" he also commanded, "Pun!" both of them said, running in, one taking to the air, and the other spins. "(Hmph, how simple) *stands, walks forward and once they land, pushes both of them away with both palms with perfect timing* There's no shame in using that Stone's potential, yknow" she suggests, "(Looks like I'll have to switch then..As well as this!) Quick Attack, Macey! Then Tiff, do Agility!" Josh ordered them some more, "*slaps Macey away and sees Tiff dashing in*(So long-range start, close combat and relying on speed? Oh how you've got a long road ahea-)" Crave thought, "Now for Foresight!" he shouts, "! (Foresight?) *sees Tiff's eyes glow blue, doing a somersault kick, then kick with the other leg, is blown back from the force* Hmm, not too bad there, lil boy. *looks around* (Now where's the other sister?) *sees Macey come out of a black ball* (A decoy tactic? That's what I wanted to see)" Crave thought with a smile. "(Since she's giving so much time, I might as well use that!) Now Macey, miss with Thunder Wave!" he ordered, "! (Miss with it?)" she repeated, "L-loppun! [D-doing it!] " she replied, casting a Thunder Wave in front of Crave, "Then do Grass Knot" he commanded some more, "*dodges to the side*, getting out of the way of both the thunder and the roots behind and front* (Nice try but not even-) *kicks into a tree* ! (How the-) *sees Tiff's eyes still glowing* I see..So that Foresight's been working wonders for you there?" she comments, "*sees Crave seemingly disappears and suddenly the twins are spun into the ground and start burning, patting themselves out* Oh no, girls!" Josh worrisomely said, "*looks at a cut on a finger* Looks like I got a bit wild with Fire Lash for a bit. *sees them stand back up, tired* I'll play with you three for a bit longer. Three more tries and I gotta go, alright?" she told them. They ended up doing some more sparring for a few more minutes, which even exhausted Josh with how much he had to keep up with the action and she finally farewelled them. That kick that Tiff landed before was the last attack that did any sort of damage to her. She just kept blocking or catching the rest. Practically was still hard as anyone would expect.
"*folds arm* That dam Salazzel! Wetch me beats hear next time!" Tiff complained on the way back with a pouty look, "Ugh tell me about it. Crazy how relaxed she was the whole time" Josh lowly comments, "You were stills doing a gooded against her, Jushy. That distract and swap was a real good plans ^ ^" Macey gratifies, "Heheh yeah I was tryin'..What I did after that wasnt too effective, and the fact that she even countered Foresight like that gave me chills..." Josh said, still getting some courage back. His team walked into the Composite Gym, and apparently into a conversation.
"[Agent J] You have to, Cy. I can take care of things from here."
"[Cypress] But J...Im pretty helpful with Nurse Joy and the others..It's real dangerous out there too.. *sees Indeedee and Audino hold each other* Bell..Tricia.."
"[Agent J] Cy look, they need me here. Think of this as the fast track now that Zenith is out of town."
"[Josh] *walks up* Fast track to what, J-man?"
"[Agent J] *looks at him* Oh..You came back. We were talking to Nurse Joy earlier and Cy and I were talking."
"[Josh] What's up between you two?"
"[Cypress]...Well...J..He's been telling me how peaceful everything is here, so...He's telling me I should come with you."
"[Josh, Tiff and Macey] ! W-what now?! o o"
"[Agent J] I know it doesnt sound good on paper, but listen. All the Gym needs here is me, the few other guys and Nurse Joy. Cy needs something to push his team forward, or he'll stay behind."
"[Josh] W-well..I kinda expected to do this Journey with my team. Not much I can do if he gets hurt out there."
"[Agent J] Go ahead and tell him, Cy."
"[Cypress] *gets Josh's attention* Other J...He's kinda right..Im not all that fit to be a Ranger with my team, so going out with you and your girls would really help mine grow. Nothing wrong with some extra help, right? ^ ^"
"[Josh] You're still a Ranger, right? This'll let you help alot of people out there, and come to think of it...If anything happens and we have to fight a tough group, Tiff and Mace here dont have to multi-task that."
"[Cypress] *scratches under Audino's chin and she holds the arm* See Tricia? Things'll work out if we just pitch in."
"[Josh] Oh yeah, you didnt tell me their names, Cy."
"[Cypress] H-heheh my bad, Other-J ^^;. *pets Audino* This is Patricia, but you can call her Tricia, and my Indeedee over there is Bell."
"[Tiff] Pffffttt, does you call her Belly too? ಡ﹏ಡ"
"[Bell] D-deedee dee! {D-dont call me that!} /"
"[Josh] *sees Mace rub Bell's back* Heheheh, I can only hope they get along. *looks to J* Now what about Nurse Joy?"
"[Agent J] You go ahead and get your Pokemon healed by her. I gotta check on Goji."
"[Josh] Alright. *returns the twins to their balls, walks up to Nurse Joy, gives her the balls* So what happened with you and the whole kidnap thing?"
"[Nurse Joy] They said that you forgot about me..."
"[Josh] Yeah, sorry...Alot was going on, yknow..I thought I killed someone.."
"[Nurse Joy] ...And me.."
"[Josh] R-right.."
"[Nurse Joy] They tried to get me to tell them all of my medical knowledge and to heal all of their Pokemon. Of course, I was doing all I can to keep quiet..Then they were trying to interrogate me for where my sisters were.."
"[Josh] Oh yeah, all you Nurses look the same. I guess it's a big Nursing family or something."
"[Nurse Joy] You can see it as that, sure. We aren't all that close, but everyone in the family gets along just fine."
"[Josh] Know of any that didnt become Nurses?"
"[Nurse Joy] *giggles* Rumor has it that some become Officer Jennys ^ ^."
"[Josh] Funny you say that, I haven't met one, so it sounds like we need more of that."
"[Nurse Joy] They also say that there is Nurse Joy who has a powerful team in this Region and helps out locals as a Trainer. The Joy Family calls her Legendary Joy. Pretty cool, right? ^ ^"
"[Josh] No foolin'? That's a crazy thought too."
"[Nurse Joy] *sees no light come from the restoration machine* All done. *gives the black balls to him, bows* Good luck with your Gym battle."
"[Josh] *takes them* Thanks. Terry and Goji...Wonder how they'll- *hears a big burst of power from upstairs* ! What the hell was that?!" he reacts, rushing upstairs. When he got to the battlefield floor, he sees a Primeape bouncing about, looking really pissed while Terry is already facing it off. "Tch! It's all on you, Chad!" Terry said before tossing out his Hawlucha. "*sees him banging his head against the wall and punching it* LUCHA! {OVER HERE!}" Terry's Hawlucha roared, "*stops, turns to him while head is bleeding* Primeape Primeaepe!? {WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?! HUH!?}" the Primeape replied, "Lucha Lucha! {I wont let you destroy Master's Gym, you damn ape!}" Hawlucha shouts, slamming into the Primape's back, causing a big crack to expand to the ceiling. "! (Damn! This Hawlucha sure is strong. Im kinda scared to take it on now)" Josh thinks, "*picks him up as he groaned on the ground, puts arms under his armpits, jets into the air* LUUUUCHHHAAAA! {Taaaaaake Thiiis!}" Chad shouted, "That's right, Chad! Give 'im your signature Sky Drop!" Terry cheered on, "*sees the Hawlucha slam the Primape into the ceiling, hard enough to make the room shake* OOOOOO! 3o *watches as he slams him hard into the ground at high speed, making the floor quake and falls* Damn! Chad here really isnt playin' around! o o; *sees through the kicked up dust, and notices Primeape was still standing with a nasty head wound while panting* (Should I bring the girls out?) Geeeeez, this Primeape is tough as hell. *hears footsteps, seeing Cypress arriving* Oh good, Cy. Think you help out?" he asks, "R-right, I was..I was thinking up a strategy for this, and I think I got something! I just need Terry to keep the Primeape at bay. *turns to Bell and Tricia* Do it, girls. Tactical Attack: Power Cannon!" Cypress commanded, "*watches his Indeedee focus with eyes closed, and the Audino give her energy after clapping* (Where is this going, Cy? With a name like that, it should do some real damage)" Josh then thought. The wild Primeape does a strong Cross-Chop on Hawlucha, pushing him back severely, leaving a smoking mark on his chest and an X-shape bruise, trying to rush in but gets slapped by Chad's cape-wing, "*still pants* (This guy just wont go down, dammit!) *gaze drifts to Indeedee, who started to glow* prime...APPPPEE! {you think you can beat me...? I'LL SHOW YOU!}" said the Primeape, wildly rushing towards the Indeedee, "! Uh Cy, anytime now!" urged Josh, "*sees his Audino shoot the Indeedee with a Simple Beam* (Good!) Power Cannon, FIRE!" shouted Cypress, "Indeeeee..! {Stooored..!} *launches a ton of power forward with both arms swung down* DEEEEEEEE! {POOOOOWEEEER!}" shouted Indeedee, blasting a massive ball of energy at the Primeape, "*looks up, seeing how it's 30ft tall* (IM BUSTING THROUGH THIS!)" Primeape told itself, punching the huge sphere and it explodes on him upon contact. The blast slammed him into the wall, while leaving an expansive, circular print on said wall behind him and he laid there. "...WOW! I had no idea your Indeedee was so strong, Cy! That just...Annihilated the guy!" Josh told him in a surprised manner, "*scratches behind head* Well it's...Kinda the only strategy I have for them. It's not special or anything, so-" Cypress was saying, "Not special?! Cy, that thing you made was gigantic! It took him out just like that! If you came with me, you'll be ready for the world in no time! ^o^" Josh happily said, "I uh...It's just that it takes a while to complete is all but..When you put it like that, I guess I can do other big attacks if I think hard enough ^ ^; *pets Indeedee, who was tired* Wouldnt've done it without Bell and Tricia though" Cy was saying more positively, seeing his girls start to smile despite fatigue.
"*jumps into the battlefield* Sorry Im late. What did I...*sees how beaten down the Primeape was, who was bleeding on the ground* It seems I actually missed everything" Goji said, "Boy I'll say. Lil' Cy here took it down with one helluva move. Chad 'ere was doin' good, but Cy sealed the deal" Terry told him, "Did he now...*looks at Cypress, who jumped and looked at the Hawlucha* Hahaha, what a move then! I felt the large impact from up there. He'll be a Gym Leader at this rate. *sees him blush and look away* Get your Hawlucha healed up, Terry. We're gonna go toe-to-toe against Josh" Goji told him, "Can do, but first...To commemorate the fight he put up. *pitches a Great Ball at the Primeape, sees him get into it* Welcome to the party...*sees the ball stop wiggling* Howard" Terry said with a smile and a glare in his eye before picking it up, returning Chad and walking down the stairs. He saw the Rangers in the room below and told them it's all taken care of, giving them relief. Hara took a moment to look up the stairway, and saw Terry take off his hat, letting his wavy, white hair flop about, hanging his arm over Nurse Joy's counter before tossing the Nurse both of his Pokeballs. This brought about an intense blush to Hara, and once Terry caught her gazing at him, he gave her a dreamy-eyed stare before winking. "(H-he winked at me! W-w-what do I do!? Calm down, Hara, calm down! /﹏/)" Hara thought to herself, rubbing her knees together as her heart raced, "(Tch. Someone's feeling all hot and bothered)" he thought, "*sees him walking closer* (I-is he actually getting closer? *sees him walk behind while looking down* No please Im fine, really!) *feels his hand on a shoulder* C-cham! /" Hara shouted, "Take it easy, Har. You'll be up against one tough customer and his lil pal, so Imma need ya to do your best for me, k?" he told her, "(H-har? H-he- Does he feel like we're close already? o/o) *feels his hat sitting around scalp* (Is...Is he putting his hat on me?) O/O" Hara thought, "*lowers to her eye level, smiles* Heheh hey, cap doesnt look half bad on you ^ ^. Maybe I'll let you wear it more often. *sees a smile come to her face* If you win, I'll let you sleep with me with it on" he offered in glee, "W-will you? *gasps* (Did..Did I just do Human speech? x x) N-nevermind I said anything...Oops /﹏/" she just realized, "*takes back the hat* (Seems even she didnt think she could do that) I guess you like that idea, eh? It's a promise then. If you wanna make it happen, you'll have to keep it together against the boys. *sees Nurse Joy waving with the balls ready* I'll be waiting up top" he lets her know while getting his Pokeballs. Once she saw him walk back upstairs, Hara falls back on a cushion, holding her chest and staring into the ceiling.
Goji ended up giving Josh and Cypress an hour before their battle. Plenty of time to eat and plan for the fight beforehand. When the time was up, Goji stood firm on his side of the field, with Terry leaning on the wall right behind him as they both saw the opposing team walking up the stairs. "(If I can get him down to Benny, and Cy can use that Power Cannon tactic, that badge is mine for the taking. But still...Anything can go wrong here)" Josh plots to himself, locking eyes with Goji. "*looks to Cypress, seeing him send out Tricia and Josh puts Tiff on the field* Heh. I keep forgetting you two are at a real disadvantage here. All these Normal types" Terry said with a smirk before tossing out Hawlucha casually, "Well I got more than just some Normal types, you'll see. *puts a hand on Cypress, smiles* I also got Cy to help this time" Josh told him, "Now then. Go, Hara!" Goji shouts, putting Hara on the field, "*looks at Cypress' Audino, trying to look determined, then sees Tiff waving with a suggestive look* (I cant fall for the same trick twice. Even if I go down, I know the Hawlucha can outlast all of them. It's four Normal types against our total eight Fighting types)" Hara told herself.
"Quick Attack, Tiff!" ordered Josh, slamming into Terry's Hawlucha at a blinding speed, who stopped her in her tracks, locking hands with her, "Tricia, Attract!" Cypress commanded, "! (The only male here is...!) *drifts gaze at Hawlucha and he looks at Cypress' Audino* (This is bad!) Chad, dont look and do Sky Attack!" Terry shouted at him, "! *looks back into Tiff's eyes* Cha!" the Hawlucha cawed, jetting into the air and making Tiff lose her balance. "(This Hawlucha's fast!) Tiff, Agility and Quick Attack! Use a wall to reach!" Josh ordered her, "Lopun!" she replied, rapidly shifting her feet, dashing up the nearby wall at great speeds, getting even faster when doing Quick Attack to hop off the wall and darting up into the Hawlucha, interrupting his attack by slamming him hard into the ceiling with a kick. They both fell and landed, with the two of them starting to catch their breaths. "(Im sorry, Tiff. She used a bit more energy than I'd figure, but she has to do all she can to make sure Audino doesnt get hurt)" Jost thought, "Hara, use Confusion" Goji told her, "Mediii...! Cham!" she chanted and flung Tiff into the wall with her mind, "That's fine actually. *gets Goji and Terry's attention* Tiff use Thunder Wave!" he ordered her, "(Thunder Wave?!)" Terry mentally reacted. Tiff's body generated electricity, shot it into the air and it struck down on Hara, making her fall from her floating position, paralyzing her on the ground. "Hara, fight it! You have to regain control of yourself!" Goji shouted, "*sees Tiff lowered on her knees after being pressed into the wall* Chad, quick! Tackle her while she's down!" Terry told him, "*smirks* ('Wow you did that against a strong Pokemon like this and it still didnt work? Hmm..I got it! Let's try this!' Yeah, you do that) Tiff, Quick Combination!" Josh shouts, "(Combination?!) *sees her do Quick attack to the far right* ! (She didnt use Quick Attack to hit him! Where'd she go?!) *watches Chad miss, stop in place, and when he turns around, he sees Tricia in his face, being held forward by Tiff* Chad, no!" Terry reacts, unable to do anything but sit and watch as his Hawlucha got caught by Tricia's Attract. When the girls jumped back, Hawlucha was in lala land, head-over-heels for Tricia's looks with his tongue out. "(Good! Our strategy worked flawlessly! Now all we gotta do is-) *sees his Hawlucha speed towards Tiff, diving into her, pinning her on the ground, and gave a mighty stomp on her, kicking up alot of dirt* (Wait...What?!)" Josh reacted, "B-but he's hit by Attract!...Oh no! Other J, we're still in trouble! He's only going for Tiff!" Cypress points out, "Damn! Tiff! (I know they're too close together but...) Use it again! Thunder Wave!" Josh told her. A bolt of lightning shot up out of the cloud of dirt, and came back down, shocking not only the Hawlucha, but Tiff as well, making both unable to move. "Looks like your Pokemons aren't able to move. Gonna switch any out?" Josh asked, "My team believes in enduring til the last attack. In other words, no switching for me" Goji answered, "I think you'll regret that here. Cy, do it" Jost told him, "R-right. Tricia, use Heal Pulse!" Cypress ordered Tricia, "*closes eyes, casts hands to Tiff* Audiii...!" Tricia grunts, emitting a refreshing, circular aura from her body and sending it to Tiff, "Normally, Heal Pulse only heals someone's stamina. *sees Tiff get up with no problem* But I've seen before, that she can sometimes remove negatives effects at the same time!" Cypress explained, "Yeah, really glad it worked this time, Cy! Alright Tiff, try Jump Kick! *looks at Hawlucha get thrashed backwards by Tiff's strong kick* Now, Quick Attack! *sees him get blown into the air after taking a really fast move* While he's in the air, Jump Kick again! *sees her kick him in the stomach while in the air and lets him land, but he gets back up on one knee* Slam down on him with your ears! *sees her land behind him and pounds his back in with her powerful ears, but he's still on one knee* (How much damage can he take?! This is nuts!)" Josh reacts in his head, surprised at Chad's endurance. Hawlucha extends a hand out to Tricia, then whips it backwards, slapping Tiff away from him. "(I-I dont know about this, Other J. He's not staying down)" Cy thinks, "*sees Terry return his Hawlucha to his Pokeball*" Pppphhew, boy was he tough. Even saying that is an understatement. *sees Terry catch a ball from Goji and sends out Rai* (I remember he was really good against Macey..So as long as I dont switch) You got this, Tiff!" Josh told her, "*drops to knees and catches breath* Anything but tat guys..He was sich a pine in mys ass o;" Tiff replied, "G-gh, M-med..Medic-cham..[R-rai..You have to take them out as quick as possible..They got me good]" Hara told him, "...Mien Mien [Dont think I forgot what happened last time]" Rai replied with spite in his glare at her before going in front of her, and Hara left out a sigh. "Tricia, Simple Beam!" ordered Cypress, which she fires at the Loppuny, "*goes in to attack Tricia and gets kicked away by Tiff* ! (She's faster than before. She must've used Agility earlier..Even then, she feels faster than that) *gracefully backflips back to feet after pushing on the ground* (She seems to be protecting that Audino. Hmm..)" Rai was piecing together, "Rai, things're gettin' pretty messy over here. Clean it up with an Aura Sphere" Terry ordered, "(Uh oh) Tricia, Helping Hand!" Cy told her and she clapped and sent her energy before Mienshao fired the Aura Sphere, allowing Tiff to make the sphere bounce off of her leg. "*whistles* Looks like we'll need a bit more than that..Speaking of which..Rai. Do it again. *sees him pitch another Aura Sphere* And then Stone Edge" Terry coldly ordered, "! *kicks away the other Aura Sphere, then sees a spread of sharp stones coming this way, turns eyes at Tricia, who had some come for her too* Tricy!" shouted the Loppuny, who pushed her out of the way, getting some stones lodged into her arm, side and shoulder. "Tiff! (That move's going be a real problem. Should we just-) *sees her using her Foresight, then she gasped. hears a whimper, bats to Tricia and sees her get stabbed in the back from a ground spike behind her, staggering out of it with a bloody back* He...He...He can do that too?! *extends a hand* T-tricia, dont move! That's a bad wound!" Josh reacts, "Good..It landed...Ghn! I take my eye off of her for a moment..Apparently I cant do that) *looks at Josh* Let me remind you that anything goes in these Gyms. If you dont adapt well enough, a teammate could die here" Rai warned him, "Tch...C-change of plans, Cy. Tiff, return" he said, "Good work there, lil Rai. You got him to switch and everything" Terry gratified, and Josh switches Tiff out, using Macey in her place. Once on the field, Macey's heartbeats can be heard audibly, knowing she's taking Tiff's place. "*kneels next to her, and pets her head* Listen Mace, these guys're playing for keeps. Out of all their moves, Stone Edge's a killer. I had to switch Tiff out cuz of it" Josh informs her, "*sees Terry stretching his neck and rotating his shoulders* (And this guy doesnt seem too phased by anything...Almost like he doesnt care...) H-hey..Why're you soes relaxed when you's Pokemans is get hurt badedly? /o o\" Macey questioned, "*tilts head, thinking* Hmm...Guess Im pretty used to it or something" Terry replied, "Bu-buts! You Pokemans could dying heres too! Aren't you corncerened abouted that?! o" Macey yelled at him, making Terry frown in confusion, "Macey...She's right though. Gym Leaders should also care about their Pokemon too..Aren't you close with any of them?! You wouldn't let them die, would you?!" Josh also questioned, "Hmph. Maybe if Im losing I'll start thinking things like that" Terry replied, "Well guess what..Im gonna make sure your ungrateful ass loses! People like you need to be knocked down a peg!" Josh shouted some more, with Terry taken aback by his seriousness. Hearing this, Hara felt down for a moment, wondering if he was lying to her face about his promises. Makes you wish for the chapter not to end here, right?
Macey still couldnt help some shaking in her figurative boots, seeing how Josh and Cy still have seven Pokemon to beat, which yeah sounds like it'll take too long on paper. "(Let's think here...I dont have Quick Combination now..And I remember how squirrely his moves were last time. Mace doesnt have a way to increase her speed, so..) *looks at Cypress, nods* Mace, start with Double Kick!" Josh orders, having Macey dash in on Rai, who shifted from side to side on both kicks, "Helping Hand, Tricia!" Cy ordered her, which she struggled to do, "(Just what the hell are they planning?)" Rai asked himself. "Poison Jab now! *sees her make her hands and ears emit poisonous substances, then threw punches with them* Now do Dizzy Punch!" Josh ordered quickly, "! (He's trying to combine moves together?) *tries to dodge dodge an ear-fist and gets hit by swirling punch as she twirled, slides back* GHAAA!" Rai loudly grunted, "Tch, dammit Rai" Terry said to himself, "MA! CHOKE! [HARA! STAND UP!]" loudly ordered Goji, the shock of his shout breaking her out of paralysis. "Crap, she's back up! (But wait! When I fought her...) *looks back at Rai, seeing that he's dizzy for a moment* Macey, keep using Return on that Medicham and dont let up til she's down!" Josh urgently commanded, "I-I'll do my bests, Jush!" she complied, darting at Hara with a flurry of ear-punches, "! (I cant let her get close!) *does Confusion on her, which stops her fury for a moment, then she breaks through the wall of force* (She got through?!) *does Confusion more and she's flung to the right, but she gets back up, quickly running forward with her heavy ear-punches, breaking through the force of the other Confusions* (I haven't Calmed my Mind enough to keep her down?!) *gets hit by a punch to the stomach, grabs right arm, straightens it out on her, pushing her back, catches breath* (Did my...Force Palm work?)" Hara asked herself, "*coughs blood, which runs through fingers* ('Macey, keep using Return on that Medicham and dont let up til she's down!'...I gotta keep going..Like Joshy said!)" Macey told herself, flexing the bunches of muscles that were in her ear for a big Return attack, "! (She's getting ready for a big move!) Give her a Helping Hand, Trici!" Cy told her, and she did so, "*sees Macey coming in close again with a huge wind-up from her ear. hears a ton of wind coming from the punch as it already breaks walls of Confusion* (If I cant stop it..) *sees Tricia catching her breath, some blood coming from her mouth* (I will go down with her teammate!)" Hara yelled in her head, flinging Tricia 40ft the air with one last Confusion and Macey decks Hara hard into the ground, hard enough to make her bounce off of it. "(I...Tried my best, Terry...I really..Did...)" Hara last thought with the top of her head bleeding, "*catches Tricia, puts her down and catches breath* I...Dids it.." Macey tiredly said, holding her knees while bent over, aiming her big ass at Josh, and he didnt comment and looked away. "...*looks at Goji and walks up to Hara*...Har...*takes the hat off, puts it on her face* You tried...Sorry it came to this.." Terry said, "*feels him pick the hat up for a moment, feels his kiss on the lips before putting it back down* (Thank you...T...Ter..ry...)" faintly thought Hara, "...See..*gets his attention* You're learning..I know she appreciated that UuU" Josh comments. Everyone allowed Terry to have a small moment with Hara as she falls unconscious. After two minutes, Terry returned her to her ball.
The Machoke walks up to Terry, and gestures him to get back to his spot, he thusly does so. Terry whips his long white hair before getting another Pokeball from Goji, and tosses out Garu. Rai finally snaps himself out of his daze, checks his surroundings and sees Garu stepping next to him. "(Tch, getting taken off guard by this damn coward of a Loppuny..Disgraceful. Master would be ashamed..)" Rai thought to himself, taking a fighting stance. "Psst, Other J, I think they know all of our tricks, what do we do?" Cypress asked, "(Two to be exact but..) I still got a trick up my sleeve, Cy. *looks at how Tricia's struggling on her feet* (I just wish Treas wasnt so banged up..) Try to keep following me up" Josh told him, returning Macey and sending out Tiff, "Ok Garu, try to finish both of them here.. *Josh and Cy put on a surprised face* Rapid Spin now!" Terry commanded, "Hitmon!" he replied, spinning on his top-shaped head at very high velocity, practically looking like a tornado, "Other J, this is really bad! Can we even hit them?!" Cypress shouts in a panic, "Dont worry, I've dealt with this before! Tiff, I know you're still a bit winded, but give it all you got with your Focus Blast!" Josh told her, "(Alright..As long as he just stands in one place..) Heal Pulse, Treas!" Cypress ordered, but when he did, the Hitmontop quickly spun her way and directly hits her before anyone could react, "*turns to him* (What..the..hell...? He can be that fast?!) *notices how the hit shoots her into the air and lands face-first almost as fast. her blood splatting around her upon impact* (Shit! Did she really get taken out like that?!) Uh- g- Launch your Focus Blast now! O" Josh shouts, and the force of the Focus Blast blew herself back upon pitching it. Once the blast collided with the Hitmontop's speed, tons of grinding was occurring but it ended up indeed disrupting his insanely fast spinning, and made him flop to the floor, feeling dazed while holding his head. "(He has a headache, good!) *sees Rai coming in at her* Grass Knot on the Mienshao, Tiff!" he then ordered, "! Lopun!" she barked, seeing Rai, and trips him up with a sizable grassy wood growth in front of him, "*switches Tiff out with Macey* Now do Return!" Josh ordered, and Macey kicked up tons of dirt on him while viciously pounding him down with many powerful punches with her ears, breaking the ground below him until he eventually flung out of the cloud of dirt. When he landed, everyone saw him completely beaten and bruised. "(That damn move is something else..Return can be really be dangerous if Trainer and Pokemon get real close) You tried, Garu.." Terry said, "Drrrgggh! Enough of this!" Rai roared in frustration, dashing and busting through a stone wall he made with Stone Edge, carrying sharp, flatter stones in one arm, "Grass Knot again!" he quickly ordered, and Macey made him trip up again, losing all of his Stone Edges in the process. "CHOOOKE! [DONT BE STUPID!] *gets Rai's attention* Machoke machoke, choke choke choooke! [If you act on rage alone, you'll become far too predictable! See that you cant be reactive against this strong team and listen to us!]" Goji told him, making the Mienshao grunt to himself.
Josh and Cy take a short breather, sensing victory is closing in. "How many's that, Other J? 5 more? We're making shorter work of 'em each time, let's keep it up /ouo\" Cy commented, "Yeah, while we're one Pokemon dow- *feels warmth coming from the right, seeing lights emitting from her body* (Good! *u*) Hey that's Heal Pulse! She's healing herself!" Josh noticed in a cheerful manner. "Are you two done acting all buddy-buddy? If so..*gestures Goji for another ball with a hand out* Im gonna choos- *gets hand slapped* Ow, what's wrong with you, 'Ji?" Terry reacts, "You've been losing for some time now with my team, so you use your own Pokemon from here on -\/-" Goji said in a belittling manner, sending out Bisuke, "(Two fresh Pokemon then? If we can take these two down, there'd be three left, with his Chad still hurt real badly from earlier. Other J still hasn't used that one Zenith Ball this whole time, but honestly...None are really effective against Fighting types)" the blue-haired wonder ponders to himself, "I may have to have the good ol' team back out real soon, Cy. Before then, send Bell out on my signal" Josh told him. "Ma! Choke! [Now! Pin Missile!]" said the Machoke, and his Heracross' horn shoots out an array of needles from at Macey. She uses her ears to guard against them, taking quite a bit of stabbings from them as the needles get stuck in the flaps of her ears, now bleeding. Seeing that she needs some help, Josh tosses the Lopunnite her way and she catches it, holding close to her chest. "*sees a small light emitting from the stone she had* What's she... *watches her flex her ears and most of the needles pop right out of them* ! (It's actually giving her quite a bit of a boost!) Ok Macey, you have to grab that Heracross!" Josh ordered of her, "Punnyyyyyy! [Grooooooss!] " she replied while closing her eyes and running towards him. The two were matching each other when her ears were being pushed back by Bisuke's two-prong hands, "Choke! [Brick Break, Bisuke!]" Goji ordered him, making him chop down on Macey's shoulder, making her become easier to push back, "Quick, Dizzy Punch! *sees her land it right in his face* A few more times!" Josh ordered, "*sees Bisuke get wailed in the face repeatedly with Dizzy Punches, and he starts to fall on his back* (Daaaaah! There's very little room for me to attack, or even help out! If I run in on her, Grass Knot will happen so I'll just jump over that) *looks at Tricia* (Or rather...Since she's wide open...!)" Rai was thinking to himself, he dashes towards Cy's Audino. "(Just as I though!) Cy, Now!" he told him, making him switch out his Audino for his Indeedee, causing the Mienshao to slide past her while missing a flying knee. "(With his Indeedee out, she should be able take any Fighting type moves better than most of our team, and also) *smirks* (with what he told me...)" Josh plotted in his head, "Bell, show 'em your Psybeam!" Cypress ordered, "DeeeeeDEE!" she shouts, shooting the downed the Heracross with a stringy, colorful ray of psychic energies, blasting him away into the wall, making him faint, "*sees him faint* (Dammit...!) give 'em Stone Edge, Rai!" Goji told Rai, "(I dont think so!) Quick Combination!" Josh ordered, "(Wait what now?!) *cant see the Loppuny and the Indeedee in their original spots* (Where the hell did they...) *looks to Rai and sees the Loppuny holding Bell in front of her, behind him* Rai! Behind you!" Goji shouted, "HMM?!" reacted Rai, and by the time he looked behind, he got blasted by Bell's Psybeam just like Bisuke, flung into the wall and everything. "(Thats right~!) *still sees Rai trying to get up* ! Again guys, Quick Combination!" Josh ordered them, "Gots it! *uses Quick Attack to almost instantly get close to Rai with Bell, has her shoot her Psybeam at him again, making a big explosion of dust occur from the impact and Rai falls out of the puff of dust, his eyes whitened and blood comes from his opened mouth. Turns head to Goji, giving him a real smug look* What's a wrong, Choji? eue" she taunts with her eyebrows raised very high, "OoO *mouth quivers for a moment* N-no..He..He...That's the other Loppuny he switched! *sees her still have the same look and Bell stares back with the same face* QUIT TRYING TO MOCK ME THIS INSTANT!" Goji demanded in a flustered manner, hears the two giggling as Tiff puts Bell down.
Having little choice from such an upsetting attack, the Machoj- I mean Machoke looks down at his last Pokeball. "Cy, we're gonna win! Just three Pokemon left on their team and the Badge is our's! ^O^" Josh said excitedly, "Uh J-J..I dont think that tactic's gonna work this time..." Cypress started in a scared manner, "I raised this Pokemon ever since he was a Pancham, and he's defeated all who've challenged this Gym..*chuckles* I honestly should've used him on the Zenith Base earlier, instead of letting you do that" Goji alluded, "Because...Because..*sees him send out his Pangoro* Because Pangoro's are immune to all Psychic attacks!" Cypress shouted, "O O! OH NO!" Josh reacts, everyone's hearts beating fast. "Gooooooroooo...! [We meeeet agaaaain..!]" Pangoro growls, "Show 'em all hell, Benny. *gestures Terry* You pitch in too" Goji told him, and Terry sent out his Primeape. "We're in trouble now, Other J! What do we do no-" Cypress was saying, "*points at Cypress* PRIMEAPE PRIMEAPE! {HEY KID, YOU SHUT THE HELL UP!} *sees Cypress jump in fear then points at Pangoro* APE PRIMEAPE PRIMEAPE! {AND YOU, JUST WHO THE HELL'RE YOU?! TRYING TO LOOK ALL BADASS AND SHIT! YOU THINK YOU'RE THE KING OR SOMETHING?!}" the Primeape barked, "*laughs deeply* I guess you can call me the king around heeeree" Benny replied, "*winds up a punch* PRIMEAAAPE...! {ALRIGHT WISE GUY, THAT'S IT...! TAKE-}" the Primeape was saying before being flicked into the wall, making alot of blood splatter upon impact, getting fainted to everyone's surprise. "Whoa shit! H-he did that to his own teammate?!" Josh reacts, "(With only one hit! I've never seen Benny fight, but this is insane!) *sees Pangoro walk towards the Primeape menacingly, putting on a devious smile* Other J! This is really bad! He's trying to kill that Primeape!" Cypress shouted at Josh, "(Cant you control your damn Pokemon, guys?!) *sees Goji trying to follow him, balling his fist and Terry trying to get his last Pokeball* No you two! *sees them stopping* Chad's in really bad condition, Terry! And Goji, this is a fight between me and your team! I should handle this!" Josh told both of them to their surprise, "(Wow...He's alot like J...He'd be such a great Ranger..) But J...How're we gonna do anything to him? /o o\" Cy asked, "(There's one last thing I haven't done yet..) *puts the legging and anklet on Tiff, sends Macey out, takes her Lopunnite and puts it on her* Tiff, give it all you got to stop him. *looks to Cypress* Cy...I think you know your role" Josh told him, "...Right!" Cypress and Tiff agreed. Benny was a moment away from stomping down on Primeape, "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM! *delivers a tremendous aerial kick to the Pangoro's head, knocking him away to the left and he stops himself by using his hand to press against the wall parallel to him* Pun Pun Punny Pun! [you're dealing with me now, but Im gonna beat the shit outta you!]" Tiff shouted, "*wipes blood from mouth* Heeeeehh..! I haven't had a hit like that in a long time...!" Benny said with a blood-thrusty smile, "(He's pretty slow so hope this works..'It's very effective against slower Pokemon, but I dont know if a Loppuny can do it..') Tiff, do Gyro Ball!" Josh ordered her, "Punny...! *charges a gray sphere in her hand* PUN!" Tiff shouts, launching it and nothing comes out, "! (It didnt work? Guess that means she cant learn it) Quick Combination, with no help this time!" Josh told her, "Pun!" she replied, using Quick Attacks all around the Pangoro in conjunction with Charge Beams, landing multiple strikes of it, which were being swiped away and some that hit anyway left bruises, and she ends the Combination with a Jump Kick combined with Quick Attack, which flew the Pangoro into the wall, 30ft from where he was. "*sees him come out of the wall and ran forward in rage* Is it ready, Cy?" asked Josh, "Almost, J! Almost!" Cypress told him, "Almost wha...*sees the Audino looking tired, on her knees* Heheeeeeh..! *guards Tiff's High Jump kick, and has the anklet shatter in the process with her eyes widened* Now..*spits blood out*if you excuse m-" Benny was saying, "It's done! Fire it, Bell!" Cypress ordered, "DEEEDEEEEEEE!" Bell shouts, "!? An Indeedee? Where?! *sees the floor glow blue and immense from above* No...*looks up, seeing Indeedee falling, and more apparently, the massive ball of energy from above* Im...NOT LOSING TO SOME DAMN PUNY INDEEDEE!" Pangoro roared, winding up a punch and punching the huge Stored Power ball. The thing blew up on him before he could make contact with it, with an explosion that was very blinding. Once the light of it's explosion was done, everyone saw Benny on his back, a bloody mess and gasping for air. A proud tear dropped from Machoke's eye. "*wipes it off eyes with a hand* (Indeedee...She was making herself levitate in the air while receiving so many boosts from the Audino..And she made something so big like that..) *sniffs* That was...Brilliant..Our lowly Ranger...Of all people, just beat Benny like that...*looks to Josh* Josh. *gets his attention* If you can take me down with one Loppuny, the Badge is your's" Goji offered, returning Benny to his ball. Josh took a moment to think, and Terry turns the other way with his head down. "Heh...Who am I to turn that down? Go for it, Mace" Josh told Macey, who nodded and stepped up in front of him, holding the Lopunnite in her arms. Honoring his wish, her stone glows with an ever brightening light from the pit of her stomach, then she let out a battle cry, making Goji take a series of explosive ear-punches for a whole minute. "PUNNY PUUUUUUUUUUN! O" she shouted some more, making her punches go faster, and once they started flexing, blood marks and bruises started appearing all over Goji's body. "...MACE! STOP!" Josh shouted, "! *stops flailing her ears and opens her ears and sees Goji on the ground* I...I so sorrys! " Macey apologized, "...No need...*walks up to Josh and puts the Badge in his hand* Like 'Ji said, you earned it. The Fist Badge" Terry congratulated, "! That's right..I..We actually won! You hear that, Cy? We won the Gym!" Josh cheered, hugging him, "Couldnt do it without ya, J ^ ^ *looks at Goji's face, seeing him saddened* Oh yeah...This means goodbye for me huh.." Cypress then reminded himself, "*gives Josh 7000poke* Dont worry lil man. Long as Chad and the rest of us are here, we aint goin' anywhere, so off with ya. *sees Josh and Cy walk out, gets Josh's shoulder* And thanks for giving me a run for my money. Should battle again some time" Terry farewelled with a wink, and Josh exchanged with a smile before leaving. Like any other good story, he knew he made Terry a better man after their big battle. Same for Cy, who now gained some assurance in his tactical skills.
Our up-and-coming champ and his lil buddy exit out of the Composite Gym, with the faith that they can puts things in order for the town. Though mysteriously, Agent J left without a word before they did. The two asked around for him and no one apparently knew. Thus, Cypress made a declaration. "J...If no one can find you, then I'll search everywhere and bring you back here!" he told the other Rangers, with Josh consigning to his goal. Also fortunately, Cypress knew all the town locations from his experience as a ranger, telling him about the total of 16 towns and the next one being at Troven City. Then eventually on the way there..Josh was telling him about Vrey.
"So uh...Have you heard of this guy Vreyian before?"
"Huh? That's a pretty weird name. Dont think I ever have."
"Well..We're most certainly not ready for his team. He has to be one of the strongest Trainers out there. He's been pretty on and off with me for a few days now."
"Y-you're actually talking to a guy like that? How'd you two even meet?"
"While I was training Tiff when she was just a Buneary..He was just there at the Willowpeak Center...He knows about my dad being in the Elite Four and wants to get him back for...Killing one of his Pokemon."
"Whoa whoa whoa! Are you serious?! And he killed one of this guy's strong Pokemon? What's going on here?! O O;"
"That's not even the worst part...Vrey himself..A Gym Leader told me how he killed a whole host of other Pokemon with his team.."
"W-why on Earth would a guy like that even be helping you?! J-J, Im scared he'll come after me or our team next!"
"Look Im sorry I didnt tell you! I know...He's nuts..That's why I need to get the team as strong as we can so we can at least hold our own against him."
"J...If he's actually crazy..I think you know what it'll come down to.."
"It really isnt looking good, I know...Maybe I can put him behind bars. We could try and find this Legendary Joy girl this past Gym's Joy told me of. She'd be really helpful for taking him down."
"I dunno...This sounds like it'll take a long time to accomplish..*grips backpack* And...Hopefully he didnt do anything with AJ.."
"AJ?...Oh you mean the Agent guy. Yeah. His team's pretty strong too, but not even close to Vrey's level like us. He also helped me with some extra training before we started that Gym battle."
"So...How do you feel about him?"
"...A Pokemon or two of his may make light of our...'Relationship'? But..For someone who's over me in every way, he's shitty.."
"W-whoa J, d...dont you think that's a bit harsh? /o o\"
"Harsh?! How is it?! He lied to me, killed a bunch of Pokemon himself and who knows what plans he has for my dad! I may be accepting his help, but that doesnt mean I have to like him!"
"S-sorry..Sorry I asked..I was just.."
"*sighs* Dont be...Im just having a really hard time with him.."
"Well if you ask me..I think he's trying to set things right, and is trying to put you in the picture of that."
"It's a thought, but...I dont know..I dont like how he's using me.."
"J I...I feel you're a bit too emotional here..He might be building you up this way, and...With a guy with a past like his, dont you think it's a better fit for a guy with a clean slate to help out the Region?"
"...You're right...If he wanted to only do all this by himself, he would've by now..Thanks..I guess.."
"I know it's hard, J, but if we put our minds to this, we're sure to through it together, right? ^ ^"
"(Having Cy around for the ride..It's looking like a good move on my part) Yeah...*hears some bushes rustling* Well we'll talk more later. Wild Pokemon're coming up."
"We just crossed Route 372. After that, more are bound to show up, so I got your back" Cypress informs, taking out a Pokeball with Josh.
Back at the Composite Gym, Hara finally awakes from inside her Pokeball. "ghhhn..*feels something on face* (T-terry's hat? Why...do I have it?) *looks around, seeing nothing but empty spaces* Right..I lost.." the Medicham said to herself before disappearing and coming out of her ball. "Zzzzzz..zzzz..hggggnn..*eyes open* Haw...? Hawlucha! {Huh...? Terry!} Lucha lu...Lucha {How long was I asleep...? I dont feel good about this..}" the Hawlucha said to himself, and once he felt himself ascending out of his Pokeball, he had a feeling he knew what happened.
"[Hara] *appears on a chair* Im...out.."
"[Chad] *walks up to her* Lucha. [Hara. You're alright too]"
"[Hara] *looks around and sees Nurse Joy at her desk, reading medical records* If we're out here..."
"[Terrance] Hey you two.."
"[Hara] !...Terry..Im sorry...If I were stronger..*feels his hat being put on again* H-huh?"
"[Terrance] Dont be..I was careless with y'all...Everyone can blame it on me. Goji got pretty upset at me for how we lost. *looks at Chad* Sorry I couldnt send you out, Chad. You would've been taken down anyway. Somehow, their team didnt have anyone get KO'd once."
"[Hara] ! N...Not even...Once?...*tears up* Im s-sorry...Im so sorry..I..*sniffs, then is hugged by him* H-huh..?"
"[Terrance] Dont be sad...Just blame it all on me..I promise...I'll do all I can to make our Gym, our team...Terrantio's team the strongest there is..Goji told me to start caring about you all...But it was him..The challenger..He cared about his team alot and look what he was able to do, so look..*looks her in the eyes, strokes her cheek* Im gonna do the same..*puts forehead to her's* Starting with you, Har.."
"[Hara] ...*kisses his cheek, heart starts to flutter* (Terry...I want to thank him too..For this...)"
"[Terry] Har...*embraces her* No more...My days of ignoring you stop here.." he declared at that moment. Goji, wrapped in bandages, watches from the upper staircase, then closing his eyes. Finally, he can truly feel proud of his next Gym Leader, despite his recent errors. From this day forth, Terrance, began a Journey. He opened a certain path for himself. To become the strongest Gym Leader...After fixing the town up, of course. Dont think he'll forget that!
Will Terry be re-used later on? What's the next city going to be like? How the hell did this Region get so fucked up? Are things gonna get complicated with Cy in the mix while trying to surpass Vrey? All these questions and more next time in...This Fic with a title that's too long! See ya until then!
