"So," Ricardo says quietly to Alicia as they stand over the cribs, watching their daughters sleep.

"So," she echoes with a small smile, nudging him.

"What are our plans tomorrow night?" Ricardo asks.

"Well, Sofia is taking Andre to fireworks," Alicia muses. "We'll have to keep an eye on these two for awhile to make sure the fireworks don't scare them. Beyond that, the night is ours." She smiles at him, exhaling softly as he touches her, fingers teasing down her side.

"I like the sound of that," he murmurs. "Anything in particular you want to do?"

"Ah, give me some time to think about it, I'll have a nice, very detailed answer for you by the time Sofia's gone, I'm sure," Alicia tells him with a grin.

"Maybe I could have a teaser of what to expect?" he wonders.

"Oh, I guess that could be arranged," she says, turning to drape her arms over his shoulders and leaning up for a heated, lengthy kiss. Before they can really get into it, however, Clara starts whimpering, steadily building into a wail that wakes her sister up and sends Mariana into a frenzy of frustrated, sleepy tears herself.

Alicia and Ricardo snap apart with gasps almost immediately, both turning towards their daughters. "To be continued tomorrow," Ricardo decides, hoisting Clara up and out of the crib, walking her around slowly and rubbing circles into her small back to try to sooth her.

"I"ll hold you to that," Alicia tells him with a smile before focusing all of her attention on Mariana, murmuring to her to try to sooth her. "Poor sweetheart, you're ok," she hums. "Mama and Daddy are both ere, just the way you two like it. Right?"

"And we always will be," Ricardo says, sending a small smile Alicia's way as finally, finally Clara eases back into some semblance of sleep, allowing him to gently put her back in the crib. Mariana isn't far behind and the exhausted parents exchange small smiles before sharing a small, much more subdued kiss. "Tomorrow," Ricardo says, all too aware that it'd more likely than not end with the two of them dozing on the couch by the end of the night.

"Tomorrow," Alicia agrees, a small quirk to her lips that shows Ricardo isn't alone in expecting such a conclusion.
