20. Chapter 20

20 Besting the Tower.

The Temple gave [Water Magic] Level 1 to Hilda, and level 3 to Mai and Yurie, both got [Ice Magic] Level 2.

I commented: "Remember, your best magics are Fire and Lightning for Mai; and Darkness and Earth for Yurie. Hilda has a talent for all kinds of magic. Let us kill some monsters."

We [Teleport] to the 16th floor, the mountain range with steep cliffs is the home of Fire Will-O-Wisps, to neutralize the heat, I put an [Barrier] around each girl, I molded the [Barrier] so it is a foot from the body, and anchored to each girl, the [Barrier] is spelled to block heat and fire, this way we could walk around in room temperature. It took one-third of my magic to keep the [Barrier] up though.

Aya kept the Will-O-wisp away to let Hilda, Mai, and Yurie try their spells out, I went into Lecture Mode and started teaching Inari, Kacha, and Lydia about Fire, with demonstrations and explanations of why [Wind Magic] can amplify the [Fire Magic]. Hilda showed it with her [Fire Whip].

Once Mai and Yurie got their spell in order, we advanced through the floor.

The 17th floor with the Dark Thunderclouds was easy, the [Fire Magic] from Hilda and Mai dealt with them.

Floor 18 had us in winter gear again, we rushed through the Snow children, eager to move away from the cold…I was wrong with my calculations, the Fire Floors only start from floor 21, meh, the girls had fun.

We only took a break for lunch, when it was time to go home, we were on the 21th floor again. With the boost from two days ago, they all have impressive levels, they all can compare with the strongest adventurers.

We took a small detour to the [Fire Crystal], Lydia got [Fire Magic] Level 1, Inari and Kacha even Level 2.

Dinner at home was a big celebration, the gains in levels and magic had Inari and Kacha again on their knees before Elena. Elena said softly: "Tonight, kneel before Lord Seiji and make him happy. He is the one that made it all happen, so give him a big reward."

Nancy and Ringo got updated on the progress of the Beast Girls, by Elena, I think she is promoting the Harem to both, I am not complaining though.

Inari and Kacha got on their knees that night and thanked me over and over again. It is good to be me!

Pinky Resto commented: "It is a good thing he has [Stamina Regeneration] or those girls would have sucked him dry. I am glad I did the bonding girls, it is a lot of fun in here." The Spirits all cheered.

After Breakfast, Lydia left with a Three tailed Kitsune, and a Small Tailed Neko, she turned into a Lynx, and those have short tails, Kacha said: "I hope to have a new Magic Power soon, having such a small tail is embarrassing."

I smiled: "It will happen soon enough Kacha, we have to go now, the cleaning crew is bound to arrive, and are not ready to see a Kitsune or Neko. Lela? Are you ready? Tell them you are going into the Tower with us, we are attacking the 21st Floor."

Elena stayed behind to give the Cleaning Crew directions and point out the things we find important. Twenty minutes later we left to do some shopping in the neighborhood, People were happy to see Elena again and receive her [Blessing], Mai and Yurie were watching it happen with open mouths.

Finally, Yurie whispered to me: "It is so obvious that Elena is casting Magic, Why is no one commenting on it? Nobody called the press?"

I softly answered: "We let it know that if we are bothered by the press or curious people, then we have to move to another location. Also, they regard Elena as their own Foreign Miko and compare her [Blessing] with the ones our Miko give.

We stored our goods, in the elevator, I blacked the cameras, and ported to Masamune in the Demon City, he gave me a new [Sword of Trial], this one needs me to kill 30 monsters of the four main Magics. We [Teleport] to Lela, grabbed her, and ported to the 21th floor.

The floor was Hot! Freaking Lava rivers blocked our path! Lela used refrigerator stones to cool her armor, Elena used a small film of water to block the heat, after a few tries Hilda and Aya got it too, which left me with Mai and Yurie to have a [Heat Barrier].

I let the girls find their own solution to cross the lava river, I had to erect a big [Barrier] when Elena dropped a big Ice Block in the Lava river. The Lava exploded violently, spraying lava all around.

Aya grinned: "We learned something new, Lava and Ice don't like eachother. Let's use [Water Magic] to cool the top layer."

Yurie said: "I can transform the lava into stone when it is cold enough so we can safely cross over."

The monsters are Lava Golems, and easy to deal with when you have [Water Magic], the drops are interesting.

This stone is an upgrade to the [Magic Stone of Heating], I can cook with these without firewood. This is another reason to let Minya learn Magic.

The next floor was filled with Oil Slimes, or better yet, Burning Oil Slimes, easy to kill again and the loot is the same as the last floor.

By then we got our Magic Spells worked out, the Girl's [Water Magic] Level rose, even the [Ice Magic] of everyone, I got mine to Level 5. After gaining Level 5 of [Ice Magic], [Light Magic] got my attention, It is fun to use [Laser Beam] and [Light Shot], it made me feel like I was acting in a Scy-fy movie.

We rushed through the next floors. Lela got her [Light Magic] to level 5 at the same time as me, I told her: "We summon that Spirit outside, after that it is time you get [Earth Magic].

Lela nodded: "Father can handle the rest of the Demobilization. It is time for me to learn more Magic Master Seiji, I feel a lot stronger, but seeing the girls do so many different spells, makes me want to learn it too."

Elena said: "Eventually we will learn every kind of magic from Lord Seiji."

We rushed through the Floors with a vengeance, we skipped dinner to finish the 28th floor, we needed an hour to kill a Fire breathing bloody Dragon! It took all we had to kill the boss, he marks the half of the dungeon and is a bitch to kill. Immobilizing it with Earth and Darkness, hosing his [Fire Breath] down with Water and Ice, my [Barrier] could hardly hold his [Fire Breath]. Finally, Lela and I shot him down through his eyes, the only weak spot on the Dragon.

The Drop was phenomenal!

With a slice of Pizza in our hands we discussed the [Magic Stone of Draconian Transformation], Elena guessed: "I suspect with the Floors been hidden so long, the rewards of the Bosses increased in quality over the years. Lord Seiji is the only one at the moment that can use this [Magic Stone of Draconian Transformation], Aya and I do have not enough MP to keep the form for longer than a few minutes."

Mai sighed: "It is still something to look forwards to, Transforming into a dragon? That is out of legendary stories and Fairy Tales."

"I hate to give you the awkward news Mai, but before you do the Transformation, you have to [Appraise] yourself to check you are over level 60." I grinned at Mai and continued: "I am volunteering to [Appraise] you if you want. Oh wait, I have to get Lydia, Inari, and Kacha, their shift is done."

The three girls were updated on our progress, Kacha commented: "I can wait for that stone, but I am eager to study a new magic, everyone looked funny at my tail today."

"You are in luck Kacha, [Water Magic] is the next step, here, I uploaded everything I studied when I learned about Water. It is in steps, from simple to complicated hmm, May? Yurie? Aya? Should I buy a few laptops for the girls? They can take them with them to the other world."

Elena stopped me: "There is no need for them to live in the other world Lord Seiji, they will move in with us here, you can transport them to work and back any time they want. Laptops or PC for everyone is a good idea."

Elena looked at Lydia, Inari, and Kacha: "It will save you the rent for the house, and you have more time with us. Lydia, you can visit your relatives anytime you want. Lela, you too are sleeping here, I want my sisters to sleep in this world. Mai? Yurie? This is a home for you too."

Mai and Yurie looked at eachother, Mai said: "I live in a dorm on Campus, it is easy for me to move in, Yurie is living in one of her family's properties and has to stay there, I regularly spent the night there."

Yurie smiled at Mai: "And I loved every second of it Captain. I don't mind if any of you came over and spent the night with me."

"Great! We will do that Yurie, Lord Seiji and I love to spend the night with you. And I bet the others are eager too." That comment from Elena got everyone cheering with approval.

Mai, Yurie, and Aya searched the net for new laptops for every one, ten minutes later Aya called me: "Seiji, there is a computer store in the neighborhood and they have a good model in stock for everyone, can you call them now, they are minutes from closing. They can deliver them here, nine laptops at once, they will be happy to bring them here."

A phone call and a deposit of 50% later, the doorbell rang, and two store salesclerks with a bunch of boxes came in. We finished the sale and I let them back out, assuring them we could handle it ourselves.

"I am a System Engineer and Programmer, personalizing laptops is easy. Thank you for your fast response and service." I did not get a chance to do that, the college girls were all over it, they set the other-worlders up, personalizing their laptops, their own new Laptop can wait for a bit.

I let them have their fun, to have something to do I took my [Magic Stone Replication Tool], an [Empty Magic Stone], and the [Magic Stone of Draconian Transformation].

Concentrating on the task, I poured Magic Power into the duplication, It sucked the Magic Power out of my body at an alarming rate; when it stopped, I had only 2000 MP left, counting that I have close to 40 000 MP, this is not a Stone for mass reproducing. The result, however:

We dropped Lela off at the Adventures Guild to report our progress, Lydia, Inari, and Kacha at their house, I convinced them to keep the house as a [Teleport] destination, and as a sort of base until we have our own hose there, now they only need to pack their possessions. We visited Kiseri at the Magic Stone Shop to sell some of our loot. When we presented him with the different new stones and told him what floor they were from, he bought several of each kind. I kept the rare ones, he doesn't have enough MP to Copy them anyway.

A pleasant surprise was the dividend he paid for decomposing [Magic Stones] for the Blacksmiths. 10 000 Aurums is a nice income for only a couple of days' worth. I guess the price will drop when it will be more available but for now, I am happy to cash in.

What did I forget… Minya! I forgot to give her the Sugar Cane! "Girls, can you keep yourself busy for an hour or two? I hop over to the church to give Minya a new recipe."

Or… they come along with me, that works for me too. I handed the sugar cane to Minya and taught her how to make [Candy] with different kinds of flavors. Minya got cooking at Level 4 with it.

"Minya, you better make a deal with the Merchant guild, and sell them there, it is better nobody knows you can make them. It restores the [Magic Power] of the Magicians, so it is very valuable. Better yet, let Sister Aria store them and sell them for you."

I grinned: "Now my Padawan, take his [Magic Stone of Temporary Language Acquisition +2], don't worry about the glow, a drop of your blood, and we put it in a leather wristband. This Minya, are books from my world, only you and my wives can read them here in this world. It is about [Wind Magic], if you learn from these books, you will get [Wind Magic] if you go to the Temple. When the other children are a bit older they will learn it too. For now, keep it a secret for everyone except Sister Aria."

Elena, who was talking to Aria heard the last bit: "Sister Aria, Lord Seiji is very much involved with your orphans, they will grow up to be important members of this country. Teaching Minya Magic will raise her status among her people and ours."

Aria nodded: "She is already attracting a lot of attention this way, being a student of the Hero is a big Honor, some nobles have placed offers for when she comes of age for employment in their kitchen after tasting her food and knowing she is Lord Seiji's student."

Elena frowned: "I hate that kind of politics, but it can be a safe future for your children. A steady job in a nobles kitchen is something a lot of people dream of."

"Yes, that is true, but not in the near future, she has still a few years to go before she is of age. By then she will have saved enough to start her own business." Aria set 20% of the profits aside for Minya, 60% is for the maintenance of the church, and the last 20% is spent on the children, clothes, and footwear that were in need of replacement long ago.

Floor 29 sucks! It sucks big time! Bloody fucking skeletons and Zombies! Lela shined here, her [Light Magic] is at Level 5 now, mine at level 4, the rest did not have it, being very effective against Darkness, I started to lecture about [Light Magic] and its properties.

An hour later I got an epiphany and lectured: "[Light Magic] is not only about [Light], it is also about everything it represents, like [Positive Energy], [Holy Magic], and [Life Magic]."

The Robotic voice informed me of gaining [Light Magic] Level 5.

Elena said: "Lord Seiji, let us try the [Light Crystal] before we move on. I think we will get it this time."

Elena and Hilda got it at Level 1, Aya, Mai, and Yurie, due to their knowledge about light, got Level 2. Before we moved back to the Tower we ported to an open field.

"Lela, I am going to Summon the [Light Spirit] do the same so we both get contracts."

The [Light Spirit] appeared: "About time you called me Hero, Dani Darkness keeps on messaging me about her experiences. Ah? Did you summon me too little girl? Let me read your mind to see if you are worthy… Yes, you have high standards and plenty of Honor. You love your man and sister wives… receive my contract Lela Gewalt."

The Spirit turned to me and asked: "Give me a reason why I should bind myself to you?"

I shrugged: "I'll give you eight reasons." and summoned the other Spirits.

Dani Darkness: "Finally I am complete! Join us, Lily, you can't believe the fun we have in his body, we can alternately feel his body or the bodies of his wives and experience all the sensations. He is a horny one, but his feelings of love are genuine and sincere."

I ended up with a white band just below Dani's black one, and a snowflake tattoo somewhere on my back after that comment.

My girls were following my conversations with the shiny balls of the Magics they possess, resolving their selves to get a contract too.

After that intermezzo, we razed the undead and darkness floors, Elena even learned the real [Holy Blessing], it is extra effective against the undead and very useful here.

We decided to quit earlier and do normal stuff. Lela reported to the guild and visited her father, Mai and Yurie went with Aya to the club, Hilda told me she wanted to study Ice at home, so I decided to visit my natural Grandmother, the widow of Master. Elena came along with me.

Grandmother let us in, after introducing Elena as my fiancee and settling down with a cup of tea, grandmother said: "So you finally found out about Sakura being your birth mother, how do you feel about it son?"

I shrugged: "Not much is changed grandmother, I love my parents, I already loved Aunt Sakura, and I loved you to grandmother. Finding it out did not change my love for you. It answered several questions, but that is about it. I understand the reasons to give me to mother, we would have a hard time if Aunt Sakura kept me. Being a single mother thirty years ago was not easy, and it made mother happy to have a child."

I took a sip of my tea and continued: "I had a happy childhood and got to know you and Master. Aunt Sakura is happily married and is even a grandmother now, I am an uncle… hey! I am an uncle! Grandma, if little Issei is old enough, I will teach him Masters's fighting skills, and if he is worthy, he will get Masters's Katana."

Elena gave grandma a vial of [Elixir +3]: "Drink this grandmother, it is a tonic from my Country that has all the supplements your body needs. You will feel the results in a few days."

Grandma drank the [Elixir +3] without questioning it. We left after I paid my respect at my Master's shrine.

The floors followed a pattern, from level -4 to level 4 was about Earth, from 5 to 12 was Water, from 13 to 21 Wind, each magic had eight floors represented in the Tower. Each floor had one or two secondary magic combined with the main one. After Darkness came Ice from floor 45 it was Lightning, the last element was Light from 53 to 60, sometimes the floor had a single opponent, some times we had a hard battle to get through.

When we reached floor 53 the Golden Week was over, there only rested us the weekend, we gained a lot though.

Being a lower level, you need less experience to raise your level, so slowly we will even out. Lydia, Inari, and Kacha could not come along in the Tower, but all three got [Water Magic] Level 1 yesterday, so Kacha was showing off her Cougar tail, Inari was getting the most attention with her 4 tails. Everyone knows what having more tails means for a Kitsune and a lot of questions were asked of them.

The questions stopped when the couriers came in and reported the defeat of the Goblin Army, the killing of the Goblin Generals and Princes by the [Hero Party], and even the Goblin King being killed by Warrior Princess Elena and Iron Wall Lela, both key members of the [Hero Party].

They shat their pants when Lydia told them they were a part of the [Hero Party] too.

To speed things up, I ported Azide, the Merchant Guild Master to the Guild house and asked if I could borrow Lydia, Inari, and Kacha for two days to complete the 60 floors of the Tower of Sunrise.

Azide shouted: "You are going to complete the Tower of Sunrise in two days? What floor are you on now?"

Elena answered: "We are on floor 52, with the help of Lydia, Inari, and Kacha, I think we get it done tomorrow, if not, then the day after." We got his permission on the condition to put him back where we got him from. We [Teleport] home to prepare.

That evening we celebrated in a restaurant around the corner, we even got Nancy and Ringo over. To get some privacy we spoke the Delaidos language.

Nancy laughed: "The expression on mother's face when she saw Ringo's designs, was great, it was priceless when she inspected the metal and how it was made. I had to hold her back from getting on a plane to Japan."

She smiled at Ringo: "I showed your sketches, Ringo, she is very impressed, there is a job waiting for you when you graduate… when do you graduate?"

Ringo blushed with the compliments she got from Nancy: "I graduate in a few months, I am in my last year. Thank you for the offer, I gladly accept."

She looked at me and continued: "It is all thanks to you Seiji, I am very grateful, if there is anything you need from me just ask."

Elena chuckled: "Be careful what you offer Ringo, Lord Seiji's Magic chose you. What he wants could be something you may be not ready to give."

I interrupted: "Don't tease Ringo Elena, Ringo, there is no pressure, the offer to be a part of our family stands, just as it is for Nancy. What I could sometimes ask for is some designs for jewelry to put [Magic Stones] on."

Nancy laughed: "I am not yet ready to join the family Elena, but I love to play with you. On a more serious note, I need to show the board I can pull this off alone. That is where Ringo comes in, the store will sell our usual models, but each country with one of our stores has its own personalized designs, exclusively sold in that country."

Nancy looked at me and said: "With Ringo's designs and you making them, they will come from all over the world just to buy them."

I shrugged: "Just to be clear, if you are not part of the family, I expect to be paid."

Elena sheered: "Excellent! You can pay with your body! I did that last time and it was great!"

I facepalmed, while Aya, Mai, and Yurie burst out laughing, Nancy, after a few seconds joined the laughter, while Ringo had steam coming from her ears.

Aya, after calming down explained to Elena: "Elena, it is different when you are not part of the family. That gives it a completely different meaning to it."

"But Aya? Nancy is already having fun with us, and Ringo is about to join the fun. Be honest Ringo, you are curious to feel it once, am I right?"

Blushing, Ringo nodded: "Wearing thick glasses is not attractive to boys, I had some dates, but it always ended when they found someone else, prettier than me, without glasses. Getting Seiji's attention even when I was wearing those glasses; spending the day with you all, made me very tempted to join. But as Nancy said, I want to make my mark without outside help."

Nancy commented: "She would have attracted my attention with her designs, Seiji just speed things up."

Inari said: "Do as Kacha and I did, form a temporal commitment. Master Seiji is training us, when we move back to our country we are going to be allies. We are part of the family for as long we are in this or Mistress Elena's country."

Mai said to that: "That is not possible here Inari, this world has no Magic, only stories and fairy tales about it. When Seiji trains them, and they leave, they would stand out like a tree in a desert. Without our group, they would be easy pickings for foreign nations. We have ways to escape this world if we are forced to. Alone they don't."

Lela butted in: "This is a discussion suited to be done at home. Preferably in that bubbly bath with a lot of friends."

"A perfect plan Lela, Lord Seiji, ask the bill and we discuss this in the Jacuzzi."

Hilda went to bed after twenty minutes in the Jacuzzi, as a twelve-year-old Slave she knew the ways of the world and gave us privacy.

The bikinis and trunk disappeared, even Nancy's and Ringo's. Elena said: "Nancy, Ringo, Lord Seiji marked you with his Magic. This does not mean you have to join the family, it makes you our friends. We do a lot for our friends."

Aya smiled: "Yes, we give them our [Royal Treatment], Ringo? You are the only one who did not get that, are you willing?"

Ringo nodded: "I am not ready to go all the way, but I like to experience it."
