"Are you happy?" Ricardo asks, flat on his back, Alicia nuzzled up against his side. He's lazily trailing his fingers through her hair, breathing in and out quietly as he reflects on the last few hours. Her signing event at his show, the event itself. How well things are going.
"I am," she says, pressing a kiss to his shoulder. "Today was... it was really, really great. I... don't know exactly what I was expecting, but the fans were so sweet. I loved it all."
Ricardo smiles, pressing his face into her hair. "I'm glad," he says quietly. "I knew you'd kick ass, you always do, but I admit I was a little nervous that something might go wrong. My event, your first time back since leaving WWE. It was a lot."
"I knew it'd be fine," she says quietly, leaning up on one elbow to look at him. "You were there to take care of anything if it did start to go sideways. I trust you. Always and forever."
He smiles at her, guides her in for a slow, deep kiss. "I bet you're also really happy AJ and the kids are all here too," he murmurs.
"I am," she confirms. "It's nice having a full house again. And Andre loves having a boy about his age to play with. Things are going to be just great all around for the next week."
"Yeah. Wrestlemania season, it always comes up so quickly." Ricardo continues to stroke and massage her back. "My favorite time of year, even if I'm not directly involved."
"Mmm," she murmurs. "Yeah, me too." She kisses him and lays back down with a sigh. "There's always so many wrestling companies and so many old friends around. I'm really happy it's in Pennsylvania this year."
"Me too," he says. "Very convenient."
"Yeah." They share a laugh and Alicia hums. "We should try to get everyone together and having a party or something. It's been too long since I've seen a lot of them. Like Johnny and Taya."
"I'm up for it," Ricardo says. "We can try to make plans tomorrow. I just... need some sleep right now."
"Yeah," Alicia murmurs. "Me too." She kisses him again. "Thank you for today, it was... it was so much more than I ever could've imagined."
He smiles at her. "It was my pleasure," he tells her. "I'm happy as long as you're happy."
"Happy wife, happy life, huh?" she asks with a wink.
He chuckles. "Sometimes those sorts of sayings are true," he teases back.
"Damn right they are," she sighs, laying back down and closing her eyes, the two of them easing off to sleep in each other's arms.
