TW: Sure is.
DCMarvel heroes: No, Fury has always known, he even says so in the chapter that he promised Bobbi's mother never to let anyone know who her father was. The confrontation will come with time.

Gallifrey 22.3: No other Wolverine kids will be showing up. Yep.

Late morning

The room was silent as Logan stared at Carter, complete disbelief on his face. Finally, he spoke.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Logan asked, sounding as though he wondered if he was having some sort of drunken hallucination.

"I'm afraid not, Logan. Carter is telling truth, Bobbi Morse is your daughter," Charles said gently.

"You don't seem surprised about this, Chuck," Logan noted suspiciously as he turned to him. "You knew, didn't you?"

"Only since Nick arrived at the Institute, before Chloe arrived," Charles admitted.

"Don't be mad at Chuck, Logan. I made him promise not to tell you, we've argued about it more than once. You're gonna be angry at someone, be angry at me," Fury said, stepping forward.

"Why? Why keep this from me?" Logan demanded his mind a whirl of shock and betrayal.

"It's complicated. I believe Carter can fill you in on the beginning of the story," Fury said, gesturing toward Carter, who nodded.

"I promised you I'd fill you in on everything. It's time I keep that promise," Carter told his old friend.

Tony irritably walked into the room, frustration rolling off him in waves. He walked into the room to see Rhodey watching television.

"Have a good trip to Metropolis?" Rhodey asked without looking away from the TV and Tony stiffened.

"How did you-"

"You're all over the news Tony, about how you attacked Cap and the others, all the chaos you caused," Rhodey said, pointing to the screen, which was showing a report about Tony's altercation with Steve and Clint. "What were you thinking, Tony?"

"They're criminals, Rhodey. They broke The Accords," Tony snapped.

"So did you. Or did you think I forgot that little trip you took to wherever Sam told you to go? And did you even have permission to be in Metropolis?" Rhodey asked and Tony's silence was his answer. "So I guess breaking The Accords is only ok when you do it."

"How can you possibly be defending them? They put you in that chair!" Tony snapped angrily.

"Vision put me in this chair!" Rhodey shot back and Tony reeled back as if slapped. "I told him to make Sam a glider. Not only was his aim off, his blast was so strong it destroyed my Arc Reactor! We're lucky it was me, because his beam probably would have killed Sam! I thank God every day that it was me and not Sam. Vision and I have talked about it, and I don't hold any blame towards him or Sam. We all made mistakes that day, but you're the only one holding a grudge, acting like they're the enemy. Ever since I got out of the hospital…I don't know, man. It's like I don't even know you anymore."

Rather than dignifying Rhodey with a response, Tony turned around and storm off towards his office, Rhodey staring after him in concern.

Once Tony had vanished from view, Vision walked up to Rhodey, holding something in his hand.

"I am unsure about sneaking around behind Mr. Stark's back," Vision said even as he handed Rhodey a flip phone.

"Yeah, well, Tony's not acting himself. He and Pepper aren't on speaking terms right now. The only one who might know what's going is Cap," Rhodey said as he opened the phone, quickly finding Steve's number.

Not long after

Logan, Fury, and Charles stood a little back, watching as Cater looked up at the picture of the Justice Society. Specifically, of a woman with curly blood hair wearing a leather jacket and black domino mask over her eyes.

"Her name was Dinah Drake. Code name was Black Canary. And she earned the name, boy did she have a scream," Carter said with a chuckle before looking back at Logan. "You two joined around the same time. You were both passionate, stubborn people who fought well together. You gravitated towards each other from your first meeting and things just sort of progressed from there."

"She and I…were we ever…" Logan trailed off, uncertain but Carter knew what he meant.

"No. You proposed a few times but Dinah always said it was just a piece of paper, she didn't need that to know you loved her," Carter said and a beat passed as Logan processed this. "Bobbi came along about three years after you met. I've never seen you scared before or since Dinah told you that she was pregnant. You were sure you weren't cut out to be a dad. But I'd never seen a little girl who loved her old man more than Bobbi loved you. Of course, her name wasn't Bobbi back then. You and Dinah named her-"

"Laura," Logan said suddenly, surprising all of them.

"You starting to remember?" Fury asked but Logan shook his head.

"No. Things…sometimes slip through the cracks, but nothing important," Logan said in frustration.

"Well, you're right. You named her Laura Dinah Howlett. She was five when Hydra came for us," Carter said, his face growing grim. "You were right; my story had holes in it. You stayed with Stryker….because Stryker had managed to abducted Dinah and Bobbi, was holding them captive. He'd managed to develop a collar that nullified Dinah's powers and he took them, was holding them somewhere secure, armed men guarding them at all times."

"Unless I did whatever they said," Logan muttered knowingly, already having a feeling he knew how this story went.

"Yeah. Even back then, you were pretty famous," Carter said, looking at his friend sadly. "That's partly why the Justice Society broke up. Losing Dinah, seeing what it did to you…no one really wanted to put their loved ones in that kind of danger. We couldn't carry on anymore."

"It's understandable, of course. Your concerns should always be for those you love," Charles said kindly and Carter flashed a smile that looked more like a grimace.

"Anyway, Dinah and Bobbi were held prisoner for about a year to force you to work for Stryker. But Dinah was never one to let herself be at anyone's mercy. She became friends with one of the guards, then conned him into letting her of out of her cell. She broke his arm, grabbed the key to her collar, and got herself and Bobbi out of there. Stryker underestimated her, and he paid for it dearly," Carter said, a slight smile of pride crossing his face. "He tried to keep it quiet, but within a matter of days, word got back to you. And you walked away from him and his team."

"And I went looking for my family, but I never found them," Logan noted and Carter nodded.

"Dinah was scared, wasn't sure who to trust, and she had a six year old kid to worry about. So she disappeared, changed her and Bobbi's names, and went dark. You looked for them for six months but didn't find anything. You came to me for help, but I told you I hadn't heard anything. We both agreed if Dinah didn't want to be found, she wouldn't. You kept looking for a while but eventually, you gave up. You still kept an ear out but you'd lost all hope that you'd ever find them," Carter explained gently.

"She was good. I didn't even know who she was until I started looking into Bobbi when I first considered recruiting her," Fury spoke up and Logan turned to him. "She'd left no trail, no evidence of who she was at all. I stumbled upon them by accident when I was scouting talent at WestPoint. Your girl was top of her class, Logan, a real leader. Probably would have gone on to become one of America's top generals of her generation. It was only when I started digging into her past that I noticed the lack of records before she was six. So I ran a DNA test, and Dinah's DNA was still on file from when Hydra went after her."

"I'm sure Dinah loved you coming to her because you wanted to recruit her daughter," Carter said in amusement and Fury chuckled.

"She was not happy. I thought for sure she was going to kill me. I had to spend weeks proving that I was different than her past experiences with SHIELD. But in the end, it wasn't her choice, it was Bobbi's. She wanted to make a difference; she thought SHIELD was the way to do that. Dinah wasn't happy but she agreed…on one condition. No one could ever find out whose daughter Bobbi Morse was. It's why I didn't tell you, Logan," Fury explained as he turned to the silent mutant. "Dinah didn't want anyone to know. It was for Bobbi's safety, you have a lot of enemies."

"And the biggest weapon they can get is my kid," Logan said with a shuttering breath, still trying to process everything. "Does she know?"

"Yeah, she knows. She was only five when she last saw you, but Dinah showed her pictures over the years. With everything going on during the Siege, she didn't put it together until after you two went your separate ways," Fury explained as Logan silently processed this.

"I was gonna give this to you later…but here," Carter said, pulling something out of his jacket and handed it to Logan.

Logan took it, seeing it was a photograph, at least a few decades old. It was him, with a blond woman who bore a striking resemblance to Bobbi. Her features were a little softer, but it was hard to deny the resemblance.

Between Logan and Dinah was obviously a five year old Bobbi, beaming up at the camera. And as Logan stared down at his daughter's face, he suddenly found himself somewhere else.

Logan was in a hospital, in a room. Dinah was asleep, extremely tired as a nurse walked up to Logan, holding a bundle in her arms.

"I think she wants Dad," the nurse said, smiling slightly as she handed the bundle to Logan.

Logan cautiously took the bundle from the nurse, looking down into blue eyes that matched Dinah's eyes. They eyed him curiously, as though assessing him.

"Hey," Logan said, surprised by how his voice trembled. "I'm your dad. And no matter what, I'll never let you down."

Logan was in bed, trying to sleep as next to him, Dinah was reading a book when they heard a scream. Logan was up and out of the bed, out of the room before Dinah had even put the book down.

Logan made his way down the hall, opening a door to reveal a blond girl sitting up in bed, crying softly.

"Daddy!" the girl cried as she saw him.

"What's wrong sweetheart? Logan asked as he walked into the room.

"Scary dream," Laura said with a sniff.

"You wanna talk about it?" Logan asked as he sat down and she shook her head. "You know, sometimes I have scary dreams too."

"You do?" Laura asked, looking up at her father with surprise in her eyes.

"Yeah. Everyone gets scared sometimes. The trick is to not let it define you, to consume you. Otherwise, you make mistakes," Logan told her gently, seeing Dinah poke her head in. "You don't have to be scared, because your mom and I will always be here to protect you."

Various more memories played out In Logan's mind: birthdays, holidays, comforting her over every nightmare and scrapped knee. Even the dark day where Stryker had taken her and Dinah from him.

"Logan?"

Charles' voice broke Logan out of the memories. He blinked, shaking his head as he saw Charles, Fury and Carter staring at him.

"You remembered something, didn't you?" Carter asked and Logan nodded.

"I remember…being a father," Logan finally said and Carter seemed unsurprised.

"Every time I'm reborn, there's always one thing that suddenly jogs my memory. After that, the rest of my other lives start to come back, piece by piece. I call it the starting point. I'm hoping the same is true for you," Carter said and Logan sighed.

"I'm just happy to have anything of my past," Logan said before glancing back at the picture. "Laura…Bobbi…is she…"

"A Mutant, like her father? Like her mother? I suspect so. But Dinah didn't leave anything to chance. She had a chip planted in the back of Bobbi's skull, designed to repress any mutant powers that might develop. We might never know," Carter explained.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that," Fury said and they all glanced at him. "About a month before the Siege, Morse was kidnapped by a former Hydra agent and ex-SHIELD agent. They tortured her pretty bad and she took a bullet to the back of the head. It took out the chip. I asked the Director of SHIELD to keep me posted if anything unusual happens. So far nothing but he has noticed that Morse's awareness and reflexes are better than they've ever been. Only time will time if anything new comes of it."

"I've never heard of anyone suppressing their mutant powers, so we're in uncharted territory. Nevertheless, we will keep an eye on her Logan, once we have her back," Charles promised and Logan merely nodded, still trying to make sense of everything.

In the main room, Clark was watching news forage of Sam taking off with Lana in his arms, in a state of shock.

"Lana…alive, and the Power Broker. I can't believe it," Clark said in disbelief.

"I had the same reaction, but it's her. Whatever happened to her the last few years, she's clearly not the Lana we used to know," Chloe told Clark gently.

"You sure it was the last few years?" Lois asked and the pair looked at her startled. "Look, I never said anything because of how you two felt about her, but Lana wasn't exactly a champion for the rights of people with powers when I met her. And she always struck me as someone who looked out for herself and what she wanted."

"What matters now is getting the information we need about Prometheus from her," Oliver interrupted. "Clark, do you think she'd tell you?"

"Yeah. Yeah, she'll tell me," Clark said, taking a deep breath as he steeled himself. "If she knows anything about this Kane Wolfman, she'll tell me."

"Thank you, Clark. I know this can't be easy," Oliver said in sympathy.

"Nothing about this is ever easy. But if this was easy, everyone would do it," Steve said wisely.

At that moment, Steve's phone rang. Pulling it out, Steve blinked n surprise at who was calling before he warily answered it.

"Tony?"

"Not exactly," Rhodey said and Steve was rendered silent at the sound of Rhodey's voice. "It's good to hear your voice, Cap."

"You too, Rhodey," Steve said after finding his voice. "I didn't expect to hear from you. Does Tony know you're using the phone?"

"What do you think?" Rhodey asked rhetorically. "Tony's what I called you about. He's…not acting himself lately."

"What do you mean?" Steve asked an unsettled feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"I've known Tony a long time; I've seen him at his best and his worst. But since you two had it out…I don't know. It's like he's a completely different person," Rhodey explained.

Or like someone else was pulling Tony's strings, Steve thought as the realization struck him.

"Rhodey…you and Vision need to get out of the Compound, now. Don't tell Tony where you're going, get somewhere safe," Steve ordered, to Rhodey's disbelief.

"Cap, you're freaking me out. What's going on?" Rhodey demanded.

"I can't be sure, but what you're describing matches what we've noticed of people who are marked by a being called Darkseid. Tony isn't himself; you need to get as far away from him as you can. For his sake as much as your own."

STAR Labs

Not long after

"I'm not like the Flash at all. Some would say I'm the Reverse."

Cisco, Caitlin and Joe stood watching the holographic Reverse Flash, Cisco having gotten the idea to come down here after they found the news article from the future. It didn't take Cisco long to discover this.

"The machine didn't fail at all," Joe noted.

"No. Dr. Wells…he sabotaged it. Then, at the right moment, he made it look like it failed. He really is…the Reverse Flash," Cisco said softly.

"How he do this? We stood by him, after everything?" Caitlin asked, looking devastated by his betrayal.

"Men like Wells don't care that. Just how much they can you for their own agenda," Joe said gently as he placed his arm around her.

"And if we're feeling this…imagine how Barry must be feeling," Cisco said softly, unable to imagine what Barry must be going through right now.

Barry was sitting alone, deep in thought when Oliver found him.

"You okay?" Oliver asked.

"Nope," Barry said blankly and it was silent for a beat. "You know. About Wells."

"Yeah. I always thought there was something off about him, but I never expected that. I'm sorry Barry. I actually know what you're going through right now," Oliver told him and Barry smiled tightly.

"This why you have trust issues?"

"Part of it, yeah. Those five years away, there were…very few people I could absolutely trust. When that goes on for so long…you don't trust new people. But I'm trying to let that go," Oliver explained.

"I want to kill him, Oliver. And I'm going to, right after I get my dad out of prison," Barry said darkly and Oliver looked at him for a long moment before speaking.

"You're smart Barry; you know a lot of things…but what you don't know is how that will change you."

"You handled it," Barry dismissed as he got to his feet.

"You have no idea who I was before all this," Oliver said and Barry paused. "That guy…he didn't want to play vigilante, to sacrifice his happiness over and over again, to keep people at arm's length. No. He just wanted to get home, make amends to the people he had hurt, be a better son, brother, friend, a better person. I haven't seen him in the mirror in over seven years. And trust me, Barry… I wake up every day looking for him. When you take a life, not in self-defense, but truly take a life…you take two lives. The person you kill, and the person you used to be. Wells has taken enough from you; don't let him take away who you are too."

Oliver then walked away, leaving Barry to his thoughts.

In another part of the building, Rogue was walking alone when a voice spoke up behind her.

"Lost, Chère?" she turned in annoyance as she saw Gambit, a beer in hand.

"No, just looking for a place to be alone. Where'd you get that, Swamp Rat?" Rogue asked, gesturing to the beer.

"Gambit found the fridge. Want one?" Gambit asked, offering the beer to her.

"No thanks. And would you stop looking at me like that?" Rogue snapped and Gambit smirked.

"Like what, Chère?"

"You know what! I can't touch people, so whatever you think is going to happen, it isn't!" Rogue snapped and the smirk left Gambit's face as he stared at her for a long moment.

"Some things be deeper than skin, Rogue. I've known many women, but none were like you. And it's not because of your powers. I see it in your eyes, the same pain that I have felt, of being alone, unable to trust, to connect. You do not feel worthy of it, as I did not when I was a member of the Thieves Guild," Gambit said and Rogue was stunned into silence. "Your friends will say they understand how you feel, but unlike them, I actually do. But you're not ready to hear that right now. When you are…come find me, Chère."

Gambit then walked off, leaving Rogue staring after him, trying to understand all she had learned.

Fury walked into the med bay, finding Peter there, staring down at his damaged mask.

"Tough break. Must be difficult, having to do your own sewing," Fury noted and Peter sighed.

"You have no idea," Peter said, tossing his mask away.

"I take it you watched your old man's message?" Fury guessed and Peter nodded.

"Do you know who these people Norman Osborn made deals with are?" Peter asked, not looking at Fury.

"I have my suspicions, Hydra, a number of foreign countries, but nothing I can prove for sure. I had some of my agents try to look into it and Osborn a few times, but the guy is good. He doesn't leave any loose ends," Fury said and a beat passed.

"You said my dad used to work for you. Does he still?" Peter asked, finally looking at Fury.

"No. We parted ways a while back. Every now and then, he sends me a sign, lets me know he's still out there," Fury said and Peter nodded.

"And my mom She's…not alive, is she?" Peter said, having figured it out when Fury didn't mention her.

"No. Your dad didn't talk about it much, most I got out of him was that she died shortly after they left you at your aunt and uncle's, killed by the men he knew would come after them to silence him," Fury said and Peter closed his eyes, feeling the wave of grief crash over him. "So what are you gonna do about it?"

"You couldn't get anything out of Norman…but maybe I can. He won't be expecting me," Peter said softly and Fury smirked.

"Figured you'd say that. You're your father's son, all right. Here," Fury said, pulling out a flip phone and holding it out to Peter. "You ever need anything, just ask."

Peter stared down at the phone for a moment before nodding, taking it from Fury.

Elsewhere, Oliver was sharpening his arrows when he heard someone walk up behind him. Someone else might not have, but Oliver had been trained by Slade Wilson, Clint Barton, Richard Dragon and Sara Lance.

"How are you feeling?" Oliver asked as he put down the arrow he'd been sharpening.

"Trying to take it all in," Logan said as he walked up beside Oliver, taking note of the arrows. "Preparing for war?"

"We're already at war, Logan. Fury called Hill; she's on her way with the backup Cerebro. It'll take another day or two for her to get here, and then the Professor can use it to find Dinah. Then we grab her, try to get word to Bobbi," Oliver said and it was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry that Prometheus dragged her into this."

"Not your fault. In our line of work, we're bound to have enemies. Yours just happens to be a sadistic mother fucker," Logan said bluntly and Oliver smiled tightly. "Besides, if what I'm remembering about Dinah is true, she can handle herself until we get there."

"Just like her daughter," Oliver noted before it registered what Logan said. "Wait, you mean-"

"Carter…gave me a picture of Dinah and Laura – sorry, Bobbi – and it just…started coming back. So far it's just Bobbi, but…Dinah's in there too. Carter thinks the rest will start to come back piece by piece," Logan explained.

"I'm glad. I know how much you wanted to know about your past," Oliver said and a silence stretched between them. "So…I'm not sure which one of us this is more awkward for."

"I feel like I should threaten you not to hurt my girl. But I just need to know one thing: are you gonna do right by here?" Logan asked bluntly, looking Oliver square in the eye.

"My trip through time showed me a lot of things. One of them was that I've been letting the guilt of what happened in the past stop me from trying to move forward with Bobbi. I love her, Logan. I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I would never get over her, that I would never love anyone else the way I love your daughter. If she still wants me, I will do everything I can to make her happy," Oliver promised and Logan stared at him for a moment before nodding.

"Good. But if you don't make her happy…don't let me find out," Logan said, summoning his claws and stopping them inches from Oliver's face before retracting them.

"Wouldn't have it any other way," Oliver said with a grin.

Metropolis

Not long after

Lana Lang sat in a chair, alone in a room in the SHIELD safe house. She didn't know where exactly she was, only that there were two people holding her captive: Sam Wilson, and a woman in black, wearing a mask over her face.

"You can't keep me forever. Whatever you do to me, I won't talk," Lana said loudly, knowing they were listening.

For a moment, it was silent. Then, the door opened and Lana stared in shock as Clark walked in.

"Clark," Lana breathed as Clark closed the door behind her, looking at her with an unreadable look on his face.

"Hello, Lana," Clark said after a long moment.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" Lana asked once she found her voice.

"The people who caught you are friends of mine, Lana. Or do you prefer the Power Broker?" Clark inquired and noticed Lana had no look of shame on her face as he addressed her by her name.

"I did what I had to do to survive, Clark. You would have done the same," Lana tried to justify herself.

"I highly doubt that. How are you alive, Lana? Chloe and I thought you were dead, Lex went to prison for your murder," Clark pointed out and a look of anger and hate crossed Lana's face at the mention of Lex.

"He deserved what he got," Lana sneered and Clark stared at her long moment.

"You framed him. You faked your death, and then manipulated events so that Lex would go down for it," Clark said calmly.

"I did what I had to do. Do you know what he did to me? He made me think I was pregnant so I would agree to marry him. He's a monster!" Lana snapped.

"And what are you?" Clark asked and Lana was taken aback. "Human trafficking, helping a man like Ross, trying to create your own army of Ronnie Raymonds. How are you any better than him?"

"I'm not Lex. Lex wasn't capable of love, I am. I love you, Clark," Lana insisted desperately.

"Then help me believe that, Lana. You have Intel a friend of mine needs that could help a lot of people. I need you to answer some questions honestly," Clark said and Lana nodded after a moment.

"What do you need to know?"

"You were working on a chip that would allow someone to copy any fighting style in the world just by seeing it. We believe a man named Kane Wolfman has it and is using it," Clark said and Lana smiled tightly.

"Kane Wolfman was an associate of mine until about a month ago, when he stole the chip. But he's a ghost, knows how to disappear. It doesn't surprise me that he's using it. He always used to say that he was planning on making someone pay for the death of his father," Lana explained, peaking Clark's interest.

"What do you know about him? Because there's very little record of him, even Chloe can't find much on him," Clark pointed out.

"Because Kane Wolfman is an alias he adopted not long after our…association began," Lana said, confirming their suspicions about Kane. "Like I said, he's a ghost. He wanted to remain undetected."

"Then you know his name. What is it, Lana? Who is he really?" Clark demanded, knowing he was close.

"When we first met, the name he was using was Joe Wilson. That's all I know, I swear," Lana said and Clark watched her for a moment before nodding.

"I believe you. Thank you," Clark said before he turned and began to walk out.

"That's all you have to say?" Lana called out and Clark paused. "Let me out of here Clark, come away with me. We can be together. We can do anything you want."

"While you profit by selling people just like me to Ross? No, I don't think so," Clark said, turning around to face her. "I never knew you at all. And you never knew me. If you did…you would know that I would never be okay with that, what you've done, what you've become. You're just like Lex, Lana. You can say that you're not, but the truth is you are. You might even be worse. There is no future for us. Part of me wishes you'd stayed dead. At least then, I'd have the memory of my first love. Whatever there was between us…you've tainted every memory of it. Goodbye, Lana."

Clark then walked out, closing the door behind him, leaving Lana alone, frozen in shock.

Outside the room, Clark took a deep breath as Sam and Sara watched him in concern.

"You okay?" Sam asked concern.

"No, not really. I'd let her go a long time ago, moved on with Lois, but seeing her like that…it wasn't easy. But I got what we needed. Kane Wolfman's real name is Joe Wilson," Clark said and Sara stiffened. "Sara? Does that name mean anything to you?"

"Yeah…yeah it does. But it means a lot more to Oliver. Even when he's dead, he's still screwing with us," Sara said as she ran a hand over her face. "I...should tell Oliver. It should come from me."

"Sara, who's Joe Wilson?" Sam asked, although he already had a pretty good guess.

"Slade's son. Prometheus is Slade's son. And apparently a chip off the old block," Sara said darkly, wondering how Oliver was going to take this.

Hope you all enjoyed the backstory of how Bobbi is Logan's daughter.

As some of you have suspected, Tony is marked by Darkseid. Steve isn't absolutely sure about that just yet, but he's taking the proper precautions to get Rhodey and Vision away from him while they figure it out.

Hope the Clark/Lana confrontation lived up to expectations.

And now our heroes know who Prometheus is. Stay tuned for Oliver's reaction next chapter.
