Chapter 494 Road Battle

Bubblegum and the rest of her team got a good nights sleep in the Jungle Kingdom palace. The next morning they all had breakfast and Bubblegum was taken to the seer's quarters to speak with the seer and perhaps get a heads up to what dangers lie ahead. Bubblegum was a bit hesitant and skeptic about seeing a seer, but decided there really was no harm and any forewarning or insight could be very useful to the quest.
The candy woman entered the the chambers and was greeted by a dimly lite room with pillows all around. In the center was an old green skinned woman wearing a brown skirt, brown top, a necklace with many colored beads, and a straw hat. This had to be the seer. The seer looked up at Bubblegum and gave her a small smile as she indicated Bubblegum to take a seat in front of her.
"Welcome Queen Bubblegum, I've been expecting you." Said the seer.
"I guess you have. So how exactly does this work?" Said Bubblegum as she took a seat.
"I take your palms and I look into the future. Now with each reading it's different. Sometimes I can see things clearly and sometimes I can only get quick glimpses of what you will deal with. There's a good chance that I will only get a few glimpses of your future, due to the time traveling of the Timenado." Said the Seer.
"Well give it your best shot then." Said Bubblegum as the seer took her hands.
The seer closed her eyes and everything was silent for several seconds and then the seer's eyes suddenly opened and they glowed bright blue as the seer began to speak.
"You face many dangers! I...see a mad green man who sees himself as a king playing with powers he does not fully understand! He is very dangerous. I also see...a sly fox and a crooked clock who will offer you aid, but be careful of them, they have their own agenda. Trust the red bug. Later on you...will cross a dead land and be confronted by nightmares."
The seer's eyes returned to normal.
"What does...it all mean?" Asked Bubblegum.
"I...can't say for sure. It's most likely you'll pass through a land where you will face many dangers and odd beings. As for the dead land, you could be traveling through one of the fallen kingdoms or villages and it might have some angry spirits lurking around to cause trouble." Said the seer.
"Interesting. I thank you for your insight. I'll be sure to head it." Said Bubblegum with a bow before she stood up and left the room.
Bubblegum told the others what the seer had told her and asked what they thought about it. Simon and the others first really couldn't think of any guesses of what anything the seer was talking about, but then Peridot spoke up.
"The mad green man who sees himself as a king, could be Zim. He certainly has the ego to fit that description and he has messed with incredibly dangerous power before."
"That does make sense. What happened to Zim and where is he now?" Said Bubblegum.
"Well during the war, Zim suffered a multitude of defeats and received multiple injuries to both his head and ego. Some of which were by my hands. Then Dominator just utterly destroyed Zim both physically and mentally one day and just ditched him, before she left the planet. Zim went a bit mad and ended up living in the Ooo Junkyard. He turned the junkyard into his own kingdom recruiting a small army of aliens and local criminals and renamed it Zimtopia. They're independent and really don't do business with Gumbald or his forces." Said Peridot.
"Could Zim have gained some kind of super weapon or created one?" Asked Bubblegum.
"Hard to say. Zim is smart, but he's also crazy. We don't have too much information about what goes on in Zimtopia." Said Chicle.
"We should investigate this. If there's some kind of big threat we need to deal with before Zim unleashes it or worse it falls into Gumbald's hands." Said X.
"It's not too far from our way to the Mountain Kingdom, so we can afford giving it a look." Said Lapis.
"Alright. We go there deal with any threats we find, maybe recruit some help against Gumbald or get some weapons and equipment to help us." Said Bubblegum.
The team loaded up together on the Omini Transport and headed out to their next stop, the Ooo Junkyard. They were passing through a valley, when they were met with some trouble in the form of three vehicles that came chasing after them. One was a mail truck driven by Disgruntled Postman, another was a ice cream truck with a goofy looking clown head on top driven by Zombozo and Sweetcheeks, and a modified food truck driven by Frybo and Mr. Smoothy .
"Special delivery!" Laughed Disgruntled Postman as he pulled up to the right and hurled a package from his window at the Omini Transport.
The package struck the vehicle and exploded rocking the whole thing.
"That box was a bomb?! Who puts bombs in boxes?!" Yelled Bubblegum.
"You'd be surprised." Said Lance.
"A lot of sick people around these days." Said Marceline as another exploding package struck the Omini Transport shacking it.
"Deploying counter defense measures!" Said Peridot pressing a button on the controls.
A trio of hatches opened up on right of the Omini Transport, where Disgruntled Postman was on and three lasers cannons pocked out and began to fire at the mail truck making Disgruntled Postman yell and swerve to avoid getting hit. The ice cream truck came in from the left.
"I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream!" Laughed Zombozo and Sweetcheeks as the clown head on the top of the truck began to fire missiles from it's mouth at the Omini Transport.
Peridot gritted her teeth as she twisted the steering wheel and managed to dodge most of the missiles. She pressed a button and three laser cannons pocked out of the left side of the Omini Transport and fired at the ice cream truck forcing it to back swerve away. The food truck then drove in front of the Omini Transport and Mr. Smoothy pointed what appeared to be a rocket launcher full of meat. Mr. Smoothy fired the gun and a big wad of meat slammed into the front windows of the Omini Transport covering them. At first this seemed like a tactic to just blind the heroes, but then a face formed on the meat revealing the meat to actually be Meatman!
"Nice to meat you!" Said Meatman as he began to press down on the window in a attempt to break through it!
"We need to get this bug off the window and we need a clear view." Said Chicle.
"Activating external cameras." Said Peridot as she pressed a button that conjured a screen that showed the outside of the vehicle.
"I'll remove the pest." Said Lance as he placed a hand against the window and sent a electrical shock through it.
Meatman yelled in pain and surprise before he pulled himself away from the window and onto the roof. Peridot had a clear view of the food truck in front and activated some laser cannons on the front that fired and struck the back tires of the food truck causing it to swerve and lose control. Frybo managed to jump onto the food truck before it hit a large rock and flipped onto it's side.
"We got hitchhikers." Said Henry as they all heard banging from the roof.
"Then let's go kick them off." Said Django as he and Henry headed to a ladder that would take them to a hatch on the roof.
"I'll help too." Said Bubblegum as she followed them.
They climbed the ladder and opened the hatch, where they found Meatman and Frybo banging on the roof trying to break in. The two food villains noticed the arrival of the three heroes and turned to face them.
"So you've come out to play. You going to surrender the queen or are things going to get nasty?" Said Meatman.
"Nasty." Said Django as he turned his guitar into a scythe.
Meatman roared as he sprouted and launched a dozen meat tendrils at Django, who expertly danced around them and sliced them to bits. The fries in Frybo's head came to life and began to whip around like tentacles as he tried to attack Henry and Bubblegum. Henry dodged the attacks and stabbed Frybo's right eye with his trident! Frybo screamed in pain and rage as both ketchup and mustard gushed out of his eye like a geyser and knocked Henry back, while the trident remained stuck in the villain's eye!
"What the actual hell!" Yelled Bubblegum in shock at the sight of this.
Django glanced away from Meatman to stare at Frybo and Meatman quickly took advantage of this to leap at the skeleton warrior and completely engulf him with his meaty body as he attempted to crush him.
Frybo with the trident still stuck in his eye charged at and grabbed her with some of his fries and drag her towards him. Bubblegum looked at Frybo with both horror and disgust as she quickly used her power to conjure up a large candy cane in her lefthand. Once Bubblegum was close enough she stabbed Frybo in the eye with the candy cane making him scream in pain and gush more ketchup and mustard as he released Bubblegum. Bubblegum quickly took advantage of this and fired a laser from her gauntlet that severed most of the fries on top of Frybo's head. Frybo screamed in rage as he yanked both the trident and candy cane from his eyes and tossed them to the ground. The villain was about to launch himself at Bubblegum, when Henry blasted him with a water blast that sent him flying back and near the edge of the roof, but Frybo managed to grab the edge and keep himself from falling off.
"You two are fixing to be dead meat, once I'm done crushing your friend here!" Yelled Meatman.
Meatman was about to attack Bubblegum and Henry, when suddenly he exploded into bits and Django stood in his place holding his guitar and looking slightly annoyed. The pieces of meat quickly brought themselves together and reformed Meatman.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." Declared Meatman.
"Want to bet." Said Django as he saw the ice cream truck coming up on the side.
Django unleashed a sound blast from his guitar that slammed into Meatman knocking him off the roof and right onto the windshield of the ice cream truck causing both Zombozo and Sweetcheeks to scream as their view was completely obscured and they crashed into a large patch of cactuses.
Frybo finally managed to pull himself up onto the roof and he tried to attack, but Django knocked him off with a sound blast. The villain hit the ground hard before rolling a dozen times before coming to a stop. Frybo was staggering to his feet, when he was hit and ran over by the mail truck that continued to chase after the Omini Transport. Disgruntled Postman was now armed with a rocket launcher.
"Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from collecting his bounty!" Yelled Disgruntled Postman before he fired his rocket.
Bubblegum fired a laser that intercepted the rocket and made it exploded before it could reach the Omini Transport. Disgruntled Postman was loading up another rocket, when Lucinda appeared on the roof and saw what was about to happen. The villain fired his rocket and Lucinda took a deep breath and then she unleashed a mighty howl that slammed into the rocket and sent it flying back at Disgruntled Postman and his mail truck.
"Return to sender!" Called Django.
"Aaaaaa!" Yelled Disgruntled Postman as he quickly leaped from his truck.
The missile slammed into the mail truck and it exploded!
"Well that takes care of that lot." Said Lucinda.
"You did good Bubblegum." Said Django as they all headed back inside.
"Thanks." Said Bubblegum.
The Omini Transport continued on it's way, until they reached the Ooo Junkyard, which was now Zimtopia. The junkyard had been cleaned up a bit and transformed into a medium size city with various buildings made out of a mix of stone, metal, and random bits of junk. There was a large tower-like structure in the center of the city with the Irken insignia on it, when must have been Zim's base. All through out the city there were aliens, robots, and various local races and spices from Ooo walking about going about their business. All of them appeared to be armed in one way or another.
"Seems like Zim, has done fairly well for himself." Said Lapis.
"I've seen better empires made with less resources." Said Peridot.
"So, I guess we walk in, but shouldn't I wear a disguise or something? I'm sure the word on my bounty has reached this place." Said Bubblegum.
"Already got you covered." Said Chicle as he tossed a computer chip to Bubblegum.
Bubblegum put the chip into a slot on her gauntlet and pressed a button. There was a flash of light and Bubblegum was replaced with a muscular green woman with red hair wearing armor.
"Good hologram disguise." Said Bubblegum looking down at herself.
"Thanks." Said Chicle.
"Alright let's head on in and see what we can learn, but stay close to one another." Said Simon.
They all exited the Omini Transport and headed into Zimtopia not knowing what they would find or face.
