"Though the daughter of the legendary hero Kazuma Satou Mizu was a hero like her father, she had a strange mischievous side. She regularly impersonated her mother for fun, and made it a hobby to get it as accurate as possible. She would go as far as to go commando and not wear panties, believing the rumor Lady Aqua did the same. In reality, our water goddess does in fact, wear panties."

To begin with our research, one must understand what is known as an event chronicle. These are events that took place either long ago, or from timelines similar to our own. Through careful study, scholars use these to better understand history, and see how different our world would be had some things gone differently. To begin our first event chronicle, we will see our water goddess Lady Aqua discovering the true extent of Mizu's trolling, and the shocking surprise she's about to see from her own daughter.
A magical orb containing ancient power is the key to this, as its glassy form contains a dark smoke within that slowly shaped into something solid, before it would flood the entire room it's in before clearing out and showing a specific point in history, or an alternative timeline.
Now we shall begin our first event chronicle, detailed below in our research documents. Note that some details may not be 100% accurate due to the confusing nature of the konoverse.
A young woman with green eyes, long blue hair kept in a loop tied to a spherical clip resembling a water molecule stands alone in her room, staring at herself in a mirror. She carefully examined her outfit to make sure she got everything right.
Her outfit consisted of a sleeveless dark-blue vest with white trimmings that held her bosom, fitted with a green bow around her chest containing a blue gem in the middle, a short dark blue miniskirt around her slim waist, a translucent purple underskirt hiding her lack of panties, and detached white sleeves with blue and golden trimmings. It seemed perfect for her...until her eyes saw her baby blue thin-high heeled boots.
"Ugh, no no no the heels are off. Too bright, and no blue trimmed white stockings either." She says as she makes a mental note to stop by the tailor shop later.
In spite of her outfit not being perfect, she was still pleased at the resemblance to her mother, save for her green eyes which most people miss. Mizu always enjoyed the attention, especially from the men liking her beauty, and the party tricks she could pull off with ease. "No wonder dad ended up with mom." She says to herself, confident in her appearance, and the fact she could easily grab most men's attention away from her eyes, assuring she fools them.
As Mizu continued to look at herself in the mirror to make sure she didn't miss anything else, her door opened. Instantly turning around, Mizu froze seeing it was her mother. "Uh oh."
Seeing her up to the usual tricks, Aqua kept her firm, but controlled tone. "Mizu, what are you doing?" She asks, already knowing.
"Oh just look at how I look in your getup. I look exactly like you so it's pretty good."
"Except for Kazutrash's green eyes." Aqua made a small grin, using Kazuma's old nickname as a way to hide her disapproval.
Though Kazuma saw no harm in Mizu's mischievous trolling, Aqua wished Mizu put more effort into going out adventuring.
"You really enjoy it, don't you? The attention, the admiration, the feeling of being the center of so many eyes and ears." Aqua says, her voice laced with a mix of annoyance and resignation.
"Why wouldn't I? Being a demigoddess means bragging rights. Plus dad says you used to do the same thing at inn's post quest. He mentions how you were a party animal doing all sorts of tricks."
Aqua rolled her eyes, not being happy with the reminder of her old too easy going self. "Yes, well, that was a long time ago. I was younger and more reckless then. But you, Mizu, are different. You're a demigod, and you have responsibilities."
"Well, yeah, Dad says me and Kazy don't have to worry about fighting some big evil demon like you and him did but we should train to keep our guard up in case anything happens and the world needs another hero. But he also said not to stress ourselves out and enjoy the peace and free time we have."
Aqua smiles slightly. "Ah, Kazuma's advice, always so laid-back and easy-going. I suppose it's good advice, but don't think for a moment that you're off the hook that easily, Mizu. You're still a demigoddess, and with great power comes great responsibility."
Mizu briefly thinks back to her and Kazy's childhoods, how Kazuma would always give good words of encouragement, unaware that the source of many of those quotes are a reference to various comic books in Kazuma's world, and thus, the 2 believed their father came up with them. "Yeah, dad was right when he told me and Kazy that."
Smiling slightly knowing she (hopefully) got her message across, Aqua hugs Mizu. She didn't have much time left before she had to leave back to the divine realm, and getting as much time with her daughter was a big priority.
Aqua briefly looked at the mirror behind Mizu, curious if her daughter got all the details of her mother's outfit correct.
Noting how the back of her vest looked before looking down at her skirt, she froze seeing not only the backside of her skirt was so short her rear and thighs were heavily visible, but it looked as if Mizu wasn't wearing panties
Breaking the hug, Mizu tilted her head in curiosity at seeing her mother's shocked face. "What's the matter?"
"Uh, Mizu, darling, could you please tell me if you're wearing any panties underneath that dress? Don't want you to, uh, accidentally reveal yourself to anyone. You know, for modesty's sake." Aqua's voice is laced with a hint of concern.
"That was the idea, to be authentic to how you look. I read a lot of stuff about you and dad during your quest against the devil king. A lot of people said you didn't wear panties so I went the same way." Mizu says innocently.
Gasping in shock, Aqua's eyes widened in horror. "Oh, Mizu dear, what have you done?!"
Mizu tilted her head confusedly. She usually never saw her mother with an expression like that, she'd always be either calm, or let dad handle things.
Trying to compose herself, Aqua rubbed the back of her hair. "Well, you see, Mizu, that rumor about me not wearing panties was just that - a rumor. I always wear blue panties with white stripes, darling."
"Interesting..." Mizu rubbed her chin, fascinated knowing how her exposed rear kept people's gazes away from her green eyes. Her trolling went by much better than expected, even after a critical research failure like that.
"Wha-whaaat?" Aqua's face shows nothing but shock. Her very own daughter isn't fazed by the fact her butt had been seen by so many people unnecessarily. "Miz- Mizu, you aren't going to bat an eye at the fact that you WEREN'T wearing underwear?! Not even a single blush or a flicker of embarrassment? You're completely unfazed by it!" She repeats, stunned.
"Nah why would I? Men at the axis order churches I go to love the view cuz they think it's their goddesses butt they are seeing. Makes disguising myself as you so easy." Mizu said shamelessly despite the revelation.
Turning back to look at her reflection, Mizu continued. "Didn't dad do similar stuff when you and he were adventuring before me and Kazy were born? I hear a lot of rumors about how dad used the steal skill to snatch panties." Mizu asked as she looked at her hair to see if any part of it was crooked.
"Oh, Kazuma... Yes, he did that too. But that doesn't excuse you from being so brazen about it! You're a demigoddess, not some common thief that goes commando!" She says with a mix of exasperation and amusement by the absurdity of it all.
"I always use steal to take back stolen goods from thieves. Dad did say to work smarter, not harder, so it's not stealing when I do it, I'm just taking back what's already stolen."
The conversation continued for a while, eventually Aqua left the room to snag a bottle of bubbly she kept in a hidden compartment in her and Kazuma's room. As she popped it open, the front door opened.
Before the scene can continue, the vision fades, and the researchers studying the event are left alone in the research hall, having used up all their time for the day.
There you have it dear readers, the demigoddess was truly a troll beyond her time. Even thousands of years later in our current day, her mischievous attitude fooled many for generations. With this knowledge we now can confirm most artistic depictions of Lady Aqua are in fact Mizu due to the lack of panties.
Still, in spite of this, Mizu was a true hero when the situation called for it, such as the time a group of bandits attempted to steal from someone carrying a bag of stolen goods, Mizu defended the owners, easily beating her foes, and she didn't even need to use lethal force, subduing them without effort. Other times she would simply use the steal skill to take back the stolen items and return them to their rightful owner.
