Chapter 13:
(Tetsuya Nomura's favorite number is our current chapter! Okay, time for a Resident Evil 2 style dual perspective. So, yeah, this'll be split between the boys and their respective animatronics. Anyways, enjoy the chapter.
Would like to remind once again, I DO NOT own these characters. FNAF Belongs to Scott Cawthon and Steel Wool Studios and Legend of Zelda belongs to Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo)
Bonnie and Freddy looked on as the lights went out. Sunny ran and hid behind a corner, feeling panicky about the whole thing. Bonnie and Freddy sat by the boys in case Moon tried to attack them. They could hear the chuckles of the other robo-jester.
"Hehehehehehmhm…What do we have here?" Moon asked, looking at the two boys in the sleeping bags. "They're nodding off, right? You'll leave 'em alone if ya know what's good for ya." Bonnie had said to Moon, "Oohhohoho, I see even rabbits have fangs. Bonnie, was it?" Moon asked, seeing that the boys were indeed asleep. "I also got a good fist to punch if ya wanna see that, too." Bonnie said, trying to stay intimidating. Moon simply chuckled, "Very well. I'll leave them be."
Freddy looked unsure of Moon acting in a way that was never like how he was. "Moon, what has happened to you? You would never have punished children or pursued them like this." Freddy said, Moon looked sure of himself for a moment and then looked completely confused, "I…I…I…" Moon's eye began to glitch from red to blue once again, Moon grasped his face, his body slightly twitching.
"E-Error…F-Freddy…I-I…" Moon's eye then turned back to red once again. "…I better not find them skipping sleep again. I PUNISH naughty children who don't like their sleep." Moon explained, disappearing into the darkness of the Superstar Daycare.

"Okay, let's go over the plan." Gregory said, gripping his flashlight. "You and I, superstar, will be returning to Rockstar Row to go find a Party Pass in Chica's green room." Freddy explained, patting Gregory's shoulder. "All right, once that happens, we go and head into Fazer Blast for the Fazerblaster." Gregory said.
"Sammy, you and your dad are…" the boy urged the younger boy to speak. "Me and Papa are going to go to Uncle Monty's Gator Golf to get the Faz Cam…I think?" Sammy had said, the robo-rabbit and jester gave the boy a thumbs up. "Right-o, kiddo! Then, once we get outta those places, we meet back up and wait at the entrance doors." Bonnie had said, "Sunny, do you remember what you will do?" Freddy asked.
Sunny stood at attention and saluted! "Sir yes sir! Sir, I will run when the next hour hits to halt Moon's attack, if I need to, sir!" Sunny said. "All right, then. Let us proceed. Remember to keep note of anything out of the ordinary that might tell us what is going on." Freddy decided that they would also investigate anything that may seem out of the ordinary.
"And finally, if the others try to hurt us and if it is our last option, we—" Freddy gestured to Gregory to finish. "If it comes down to it, we'll have to hurt." Gregory said, Sammy hesitating to think about that. Papa always told him to never hit or hurt, so he didn't understand why this would be the best thing.
Gregory got back into Freddy's stomach hatch, while Bonnie decided that he wouldn't be putting his son's life at risk for that. "All right, we'll see ya, Sunny." Bonnie had said, "Bye, Sunny! See you when we can come back!" Sunny looked excited. "Bye, Sammy! Bye Gregory! Freddy, Bonnie, keep them safe!" Sunny said, the two nodding while walking off.
(With one side of the group)
Freddy and Gregory returned to Rockstar Row, seeing that Roxy was looking around. "Freddy, let's head back into your room, I can crawl through that vent again." Gregory suggested. "Superstar, that is not safe, we can simply head into Chica's room—" Freddy pointed over and then Gregory had interrupted him. "No! That'll be way too suspicious, especially if she's not here." Gregory explained, "Why don't we check? I can pretend to check up on the others to keep Roxy from suspecting you are with me." Freddy had started walking ahead to see.
"Freddy? What are you doing back here? Where's Bon?" Roxy asked. "Oh, I…I sent him to the atrium and wanted to see if Chica would like to come with us to look around." Freddy had said to his friend, "Freddy, I think we should focus on finding those brats. I know you're happy Bon's back, heck, I'm happy, too! But we can't have him be seen by Vanessa." Roxy had said, "I know, but I had figured for old times, maybe Bonnie and I would hang out." Freddy walked to Chica's green room and quietly let Gregory into the room.
"In case you couldn't see from the window, Chica's not in her room! So, why'd you even bother going to the door?" Roxy asked, growing suspicious of Freddy's actions. "Oh…I…I did not see from the window, because I was…preoccupied conversing with you, Roxanne." Freddy had said, lying as best he could. Roxanne sighed, "Go back to your room, I think you're still malfunctioning." Roxy said walking off annoyed. "Besides, leaves less competition to beat me at this thing."
Freddy had sighed, "What has happened to my friends…" Gregory opened the door. "Okay, I…found the pass. Do you need a minute?" Gregory asked the robo-bear, worried. Freddy smiled and acted happily, "I am fine, superstar. Come, let us head to Fazer Blast." The robo-bear said.
Gregory could tell Freddy was upset, "Th-There's still time. We can figure out what happened to the others…" Freddy looked unsure, "Gregory, I will figure this out if I am able to. I will not stand there and let you be in harm's way for that." Freddy put his hand on his superstar's shoulder, Gregory looked upset. "Freddy…"
(Later)
Gregory stood in the elevator alongside Freddy, hearing the recording of Fazer Blast play. Freddy had bounced back by the fondness of Fazer Blast. "Ah, Fazer Blast, Sport of Kings." Freddy had said, admonishing the game. Gregory found light in that remark, "I've seen better games, Da—Uh…Freddy!" Gregory had said, Freddy looked confused, but then went back to his explanation of the plan. "Remember, Gregory, you will need to win the game in order to receive your very own Fazerblaster." Freddy said, smiling proudly. "Good luck!" Gregory smiled happily, "Like this'll be a challenge. It's just a simple game of laser tag." Gregory had said, recalling the times he and his friends came to this place.
As expected, the intercom plays a message to the players coming in to Fazer Blast. The voice sounded a lot like Freddy's. "Calling all recruits! Fazer Blast is a high intensity space combat simulation! Suit up and save the universe as you blast everyone and everything with high-tech laser effects. Blast strangers! Blast your friends! Beat the Superstar Score and get a free Fazer Blast gun! Enlist now!"
Freddy had sighed, "Ah…Gregory, I am not nearly that annoying, am I?" He asked the boy, "No, no. Dad, you're not…O-Oh shoot!" Gregory had accidentally let that word slip out. "Gregory, did…did you call me "Dad"?" Freddy asked, unsure of what he heard.
"I-I promise that was an accident, Freddy!" Gregory had said. "Superstar, please calm down. I am not upset. In fact, I feel honored that I remind you of such." Freddy said, feeling happy. Gregory looked down, and thought of his own parents. He wondered if they were okay, and started to tear up. "I am sorry, Gregory. I did not mean to make you upset." Freddy said, patting the boy's shoulder. "No! Freddy, you didn't…I…" Gregory couldn't speak through his crying. "Let it out, my superstar. Let it out." Freddy said, gently and softly, hugging the boy. "I'm sorry…" Gregory said. "You have no reason to be sorry, superstar." Freddy said, trying to calm his superstar down.
"Come on, let us dry your eyes. I am certain the game will take your mind off of things?" Freddy suggested. "Maybe…I bet if we teamed up in the game, we'd be unstoppable!" Gregory suggested, Freddy gasped, "Shame on you, Gregory. We cannot enter together. That would be cheating. I am programmed not to cheat." The robo-bear said, scolding the boy. Gregory rolled his eyes, "Come on, we're already cheating by me being here." Gregory said, annoyed, but unlike most of the other times, he wasn't mad or upset. Freddy and Gregory laughed a little. "Fine, I'll head in and keep you updated, Freddy." Gregory said.
"I will come in and get you if the situation becomes dire. Remember to have fun in Fazer Blast, superstar!" Freddy gave a happy expression alongside a thumbs up. Gregory nodded, deciding to take Freddy's advice to detox from the stress.
(Later)
Gregory listened to the rule, and joined the Orange Team, the trademark laser tag squad of Glamrock Freddy. The boy had put on a helmet that tells him all the stats and objectives. The game was simple, the Orange team was to capture any enemy flags they managed to get to and guard them for a certain amount of time. Meanwhile, the opposing alien team would come in and try to capture the flag themselves. Gregory had only been in here a few times, but he had a good sense of what to do. Any non-participants were replaced by the staff bots, but in Gregory's case, he'd be flying solo. "Okay…just breathe…" Gregory inhaled and exhaled, waiting for the entry into the battlefield. He ran through the neon lights, hearing the wondrously-yet-exciting rhythms of the Fazer Blast theme.
"Ok, I remember where the first flag was…" Gregory said to himself, running in the direction to the closest flag. "Intruder." A staff bot had said, looking proceeding to fire at Gregory with its Fazerblaster. Gregory started running faster to get away, "Over here. Tell your buddies I found the first flag!" Gregory said, pressing the button and getting ready to guard it.
"You have captured the flag. Time to defend." The automated voice said. Gregory had thirty seconds to defend the flag from invaders, "All right, take this!" Gregory said, shooting two laser shots at the staff bots that would come. They were destroyed in an instant. "Ok, I've got 4 more shots…" Gregory sat and gave cover, deciding that he would let the boys get closer to the flag, while remaining covered by the wall.
"Capture the flag." The robot ordered, proceeding to reach for the flag. "Gotcha!" Gregory said, shooting the next one, then hiding behind the wall for his ammo to reload. "You have successfully defended the station. Move on to the next one, Space-Cadet." Gregory went to the higher ground to capture the next flag. "Gregory? Are you in here~?" He could hear Chica's voice echoing through the halls. "Freddy, Chica's in here!" Gregory said.
"Do not panic, Gregory. Simply continue the game and shoot her in the eyes to stun her momentarily." Freddy advised, "You will be alright. Just breathe, superstar." Gregory nodded and took a few breaths, feeling sweat from under the headset from running. "All right, Chica, you wanna play? I'm game!" Gregory said, a bit of rage in his tone. The boy had made it to the next flag, in the middle area of this labyrinth. "Okay, morons! Come and get me!" Gregory said, getting shot! "Die, earth-scum." It said, robotically and flatly.
"Shoot!" Gregory immediately shot two robots with four laser shots, only 3 seconds of the countdown. "We come in peace." Another bot had said.
"Yeah, that's not what Roxy said!" Gregory said, smirking a bit as he shot the next bot. "Ok, I've gotta hide behind the wall." Gregory hid behind a wall with a visible window to shoot through.
"There you are~!" Chica said, trying to pursue the boy, before Gregory shot her in the eyes. "What the BAWK?!" Chica shouted, censoring a cuss word.
"Next flag!" Gregory said, heading for the final flag, hearing the automated voice congratulating him and encouraging the move to the next.
"Last one, last one!" Gregory said, feeling excited for a moment. It's not every day he takes down an entire laser tag team going solo, sure, Chica was still following him, but he's going to take Freddy's advice!
Gregory pressed the final button and the timer began once again! "Resistance is futile." A bot said, shooting him and cornering the boy into a nearby wall. "Okay, this was my plan anyway, so…" Gregory shot a few of the boys nearby that were coming to the flag. "This one is for Stewie." The bot had said, which confused Gregory for a moment. "Another bot's going for the flag!" Gregory said, keeping track of the time. He was hit with a laser shot and there were only 5 seconds left!
"Come on…hold out for that long…" Gregory prayed that he would win this. He still needed to get the Fazerblaster, "3…2…1…" Gregory had did it! He won Fazer Blast SOLO!
"You have defeated the alien army! Good job, Space Cadet! Proceed to the winner's elevator for your reward." Gregory smirked, he prepared the way to elevator perfectly. The last flag he was captured was near the elevator. So he won't need to worry about Chica trying to get in! Gregory placed his Fazerblaster and headset in the return bin that was near the elevator and hopped in the elevator.
"Well done, superstar! You have won the Fazerblaster!" Freddy said from the Fazwatch, "Yeah, I did! I gotta admit, I can't wait to tell my friends I solo'd it! Though, I would've panicked if it wasn't for you, Freddy." Gregory said, "I am glad you had not panicked, my superstar! Did you have fun all the same, Gregory?" Freddy asked, hoping this took his mind off of there stress.
"I got a fun-but-unbelievable story to tell, so I'd say that's a win in my book." Gregory said, rubbing his eyes and taking a breath from all the running and slight excitement of Fazer Blast. "I am glad to hear it, Gregory. Now then, go collect your prize from the Superstar Lounge." Freddy said, "We must hurry, it is currently 5:25AM." Freddy advised keeping track of the time, Gregory nodded his head and walked through the neon lit hallways.
In the middle of the Superstar Lounge sat in its glory: The Golden Fazerblaster. Gregory picked it up and for a moment, felt like he could forget he was being chased. "All right, you're under arrest!" Gregory said, aiming it in multiple directions before seeing a ventilation duct wide open. "Freddy…I see an air duct that's open. Do you know where it goes to?" Gregory asked the robo-bear from the Fazwatch. "Hmm…If I am looking at the blueprints of the Pizzaplex correctly. That ventilation shaft leads to the props and cutouts above Fazer Blast." Freddy explained, the boy looking on to see where the vent leading up. "I can hide up here if Chica comes looking for me." Gregory said, knowing that the ruckus was why Chica was here, and Gregory winning the game would only confirm where Chica would be next.
"There IS an alternate path through the duct. A way to the catwalks above Fazer Blast. I will meet you at the other side of the catwalks, superstar." Freddy said, seeming like he was already on his way to come get Gregory. Greggory continued onward through the ducts he went through. "I seriously hope those dumb Music Man toys aren't in here." He thinks to himself, "Whoa…honestly, I don't think I've been up here before." Gregory shone his flashlight down below before seeing Chica still looking for him. The boy started going through the next air ducts, crawling through the cold metal not-a-tunnel with anticipation.
Gregory picked himself up and saw something that was right next to the duct he came out of. A nearby window into what he thought looked like another security office. There was a mattress lying on the floor next to an arcade machine labeled "Princess Quest III." Gregory looked confused, he had never heard of this game before, but it felt like it was important. They, he looked to the side of the arcade game and saw a word spray painted on the wall. "Vanny…" Gregory said. "Freddy, I found a room above Fazer Blast. It looks like a hideout…" Gregory looked on the ground for any clues about who is using this room, he found a patch of fake fur material on the ground. "I…I think it belongs to the rabbit lady…her name's…Vanny?" Gregory had explained.
"Vanny…an unusual name, to be frank. It…sounds familiar… Be careful, superstar. She could be lurking by if that is her hideout." Freddy said, Gregory nodded.
"Aww, NOW I'm in so much of goody-good mood." Gregory had felt frozen over fear. There she stood in that moment, dancing gleefully and permanently smiling. She waved her hand. It was her. The rabbit lady—Vanny.
"It's been a while, my little friend. We had a game we were playing, remember? Surely you remember your friend, Vanny?" She asked the boy sinister. "Aww, but you left me to play by myself while you went and to go play games with Freddy, I see." She sounded faux-disappointed. All of her movements were so sinisterly playful, "I'll let bygones be bygones, Gregory. If you come with me, I will make sure your friend isn't hurt. Not like the last ones, anyway." Gregory had started shaking, he knew what she meant by "last ones" he wanted to know if they were okay, but he wasn't going to let curiosity kill the cat. Besides, she could be bluffing. Vanny then put her hand behind her back, "If you don't…You lose the game, my little friend." Vanny said, pulling out a knife.
Gregory tried to grab his Fazerblaster. "N-No, you're not gonna hurt Sammy…N-Not like this, anyway!" Gregory had succeeded in pulling out the Fazerblaster! "Argh! My eyes!" Vanny dropped her knife and held her hands over her eyes. Gregory used that moment the knife dropped to run past her. He shoved Vanny to the rail of the catwalks and ran like heck outta there.
"Freddy! Vanny found me! Where are you?!" Gregory said, voice bouncing with each breath and running step. "I am coming, superstar! I am almost there!" Freddy said. Gregory looked behind him and saw that Vanny's playful exterior had vanished. "Come back here, you rebellious little scumbag!" Vanny shouted, "You can say goodbye to your pathetic little friends, then!"
Gregory kept running, nearly tripping off the steps and heading back down to Fazer Blast. "Gregory?! Gregory, where are you?!" Freddy's voice called out. "Freddy, I'm over here!"
Freddy was running to where he could hear his superstar's voice. "Gregory!" Freddy picked him up, and Gregory clung to him.
"You can't hide behind your teddy bear for long, Gregory!" Vanny shouted, and with that, Freddy decided to run out!
"Superstar, close your eyes! I am about to run!" Freddy said, making his way through each door, hastily.
Freddy rushed quickly to the elevator as best as robotically possible, going through each neon lit hall, wall and rooms. Freddy had made it to the elevator, hopping in and quickly pressing the button to leave Fazer Blast. He quickly put Gregory down, "Gregory, are you al—"
"I WILL FIND YOU, YOU MEDDLING CHILD! I WILL GET YOU!" She shouted from behind the shutting elevator doors.
Gregory's heart rate increased exponentially, clinging to Freddy. "It is okay, Gregory. Breathe…breathe." Freddy had advised. "Le-Let's-Let's m-meet up with-with-with Sam and Bonnie and get out of here!" Gregory was now stuttering his words. Freddy nodded, "All right, let us head back to the daycare." Freddy suggested, but thinking about something else.
"Gregory, about Vanny…what did she mean when she called you "a meddling child?"" Freddy had asked. Gregory felt his heart sank in a moment. He knew this would be brought up, but felt the shame of it all.
"Freddy…I need to tell you why my parents aren't here. How much do you know about the news's recent disappearances…?" Gregory asked, pushing the hair covering his eye out of the way. Freddy looked unsure of what was going on, but decided to listen to his superstar, nonetheless.
(Okay, we're here! So, what'd ya think. I'm sorry, but I have a huge issue with Gregory's character in the series' main narrative. To make the child character the bad guy was already a stupid plot point for me, you know.
My opinion is this:
Gregory should've either been a kid investigating the disappearances of his friends, or a kid who was nearly led to his death.
NOT, and I repeat NOT, the manipulative sociopath getting kids and therapists killed. Gregory being Patient 46 is one of the worst parts of FNAF Security Breach in my opinion.
Anyways, that's a rant for another day, next chapter follows the other side. I'm going with Gregory being basically the Leon Kennedy of this dual perspective, while Sammy is Claire Redfield—or more accurately—Sherry Birkin. Stay strong and awesome!)
Psalm 105:1 KJV:
O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name. Make known his deeds among the people.
(I need to say it more, but God loves you all very much. That He sent His Only Son to die for our sins. Jesus bared it all for us and we need to show him respect by following His Word, repenting of any and every sin, and leading a better life by His Teachings! God Bless! I thank Him for being alive, writing and the pushes I need to write the reminders of Him)
