Alicia looks up as Ricardo settles in next to her, closing his eyes and exhaling slowly. "Bored?" she asks with a faint laugh, leaning over and running her fingers through his hair.

"A litle, I guess, yeah," he sighs softly, nuzzling into her touch. She giggles and leans in, kissing his forehead. "Wanna go out for a walk? Or something? Anything."

She hums, playing with his fingers. Today's been an alright day, her nausea staying at bay for the most part. She's still a little hungry, but it's nowhere near as severe as it had been here and there the last couple of weeks. She exhales and glances over at her phone, tapping her finger against the screen. "Actually," she says slowly. "I think I need to go get some groceries."

He stares at her, blinking a few times before her words seem to register. "Wait, what?"

"Yeah, we're running low on some things." She leans in and kisses him. "I won't be long, try not to worry." She gets up and starts to wander around, collecting her face mask and hand sanitizer, a couple of other things.

"But-" he tries to protest and she returns to the couch, kissing him deeper, slower. "Alicia-"

"I'll be ok," she promises him, stroking his jaw. "Just relax, go for that walk maybe. I'll text you when I'm home if you're out."

He's not thrilled with it, she can tell- she isn't either, fully, but she doesn't want to leave this to some online ordering service. So she heads out, exhaling slowly as she settles into the driver's seat of her car, smoothing her hands along the slope of the steering wheel. She hasn't been driving a lot lately, and it feels strange to pull back out onto the road. There isn't a lot of traffic, compared to usual, and the trip only takes about ten minutes. She exhales slowly, putting her mask on, and closing her eyes for a moment, bracing herself, before getting out and heading inside.

It's quiet, easy enough to avoid people, and she quickly finds what she needs- milk, some of that bread Ricardo likes, cheese, and eggs- before slipping into the last aisle on her list. Her options are overwhelming but she reflects on advice Maryse had given her the last time they talked, finding the namebrand she'd suggested. Alicia nods to herself and carefully drops the pregnancy test into her basket, along with a second namebrand just in case, and then a third. For her own peace of mind. Exhaling slowly before she makes her way to check out, planting herself fully into the sticker on the floor. She waits anxiously, relieved when it's her turn and she can have her things rung up, thanking the cashier and bagger as they finish up and she can leave.

Taking her mask off feels like heaven as she breathes in the warm morning air, shaking her hair out and slowly getting back into the car. She swipes at the boxes of pregnancy test, trying to disinfect them as best as she can, before putting them in her purse and finally heading home.

Ricardo is waiting for her and he smiles weakly at her, taking the groceries to begin to clean and put them away while she escapes into the bathroom to shower. But first... she sneaks the boxes out of her bag and leaves them out on the counter near the sink, staring at them.

Waiting is terrible, Alicia holding her breath as the seconds tick slowly by, and she closes her eyes, clenching her fists as finally her phone vibrates to show the time's up. She stares at the readout for a long, tense moment, before turning to the second. And then the third. Once all show their verdicts, she presses a hand to her mouth and sniffs, lips trembling up into a slow smile.

Her hair is still damp, her hands still trembling, as she gingerly walks into the living room, finding Ricardo idly scrolling through Netflix. He looks up at her with a soft smile and holds his arms out to her. "Wanna watch some Community? I was about to-"

His words die away when she grips his hands and stares up at him, eyes welling with fresh tears. She squeezes gently and exhales slowly. "We're pregnant, Ricardo."

He pales. Then flushes. Then looks down, before gaping at her some more. "Wha- what?"

She laughs weakly. "Yeah. Tha- that's why I went out, to get a test. It, I mean. There were three of them, and they- they all said yes."

He swallows. Eases his hands out of hers and lightly rests one on her stomach, the other brushing the tears off of her cheeks.. "This... really?"

She nods, sniffing quietly. "The timing is horrible, I know- I don't know what to do- but... I... are you happy?"

He closes his eyes and nods. "I am," he breathes out. The circumstances are far from perfect, obviously, but... he smiles as he meets her gaze, her hands coming to rest over his. "I really, really am."
