It's a quiet evening at home. Ricardo and Alicia are relaxed on the couch, TV droning on softly across the room, but they barely pay it any mind as they slowly kiss and whisper amongst themselves. "Can you believe it's Mania season again?" Alicia asks, resting her head against Ricardo's shoulder. "God, this year has gone by in such a rush."
Having Andre, both of them doing random wrestling shows here and there, just the day to day minutia of getting through a pandemic in one piece. It's wild. He can't believe they've all made it to here in one piece. He curls an arm around her tightly and kisses her jaw. "I know," he says softly. "It's wild. I wasn't sure we'd make it this far, things were seeming so grim about a year ago."
"Yeah, tell me about it," she says with a soft, slow stroke of her fingers along his chest. "I found out about now I was pregnant."
"Yeah," Ricardo hums. "Both the most horrifying and rewarding time of my life."
"Me too," Alicia sighs, the two falling silent as they settle in closer and just breathe, reflecting on the big moments, the fright, the beauty, the sadness and the joy that mix together to form the bittersweet reality that so many have been living in for the last twelve months.
They're still sitting there, mulling it all over, when Sofia comes in, a small smile on her face. "Sorry to interrupt," she says quietly, resting a bowl of popcorn before them.
"You're never an interruption," Ricardo tells her fondly. In fact, he motions to the TV. "This movie is just about to reach the best part. Wanna join us?"
She beams at them, hovering thoughtfully for a few moments before nodding. "I'd love to," she manages, settling in on a chair next to where Ricardo and Alicia are cuddled in. The three of them share popcorn and only stir enough to choose a new movie when that one ends.
It's the best night any of them have had in a long, long time.
