ENDGAME ENDING

The sounds of beeps and whirls awoke Peter. Squinting his weak eyes, he could make up bright lights and a white tiled roof. He could feel an oxygen mask atop his nose and mouth along with a blanket and semi-comfortable bed carrying him.

Where he fully conscious, the Web-slinging hero would've seen he was indeed in a hospital room of sorts, hooked up to various machines ensuring he was breathing and getting enough nutrients. On top of this, the arm he had worn the gauntlet on was in a special device created by Bruce and Tony to drain the excess radiation from its primary source.

As weakened and tired as he was, Peter did have enough sense to remember the last thing he had done; snapping his fingers while wearing the Infinity Gauntlet as Thanos stared on at him in shock and denial.

Thanos!

The image of the Mad Titan sparked a jolt of energy in the young hero, his vitals skyrocketing and beeping loud enough to wake the dead. In spite of the mass pain and seeming inability to use his arm, Peter attempted to leap out of his bed…

Only for two familiar faces to appear, along with a third: The first two where Dr. Strange and the helmet wearing fellow with the hieroglyphs, the third was an older woman in what appeared to be a mechanical spider chair with red shades.

"Rest, young Parker." The helmeted being whispered, gently pushing Peter back down. "You have earned it. All shall be explained soon enough."

It took Peter a second to catch all of that: Earned it. D-did that mean?

"You did it." Strange's voice cut in, a smile clear in his tone. "Everyone snapped has come back and you did something I didn't think possible; you created a new timeline."

For a full minute, the world was silent.

He'd done it?

He'd done it.

A realization crossed Peter's weakened face. That meant….!

"Your aunt will be sitting at your bedside when you wake up." The woman promised, her head then moving slightly with a chuckle. "Then again, you have company already…."

Peter glanced to see Trini, Billy, Jason, Tony and the new Mutants sitting or standing around his room; all now jolted awake by the sound of his machines alerting them he was awoken in less than ideal circumstances.

Elation filled Peter's form as tears trickled down his face at the image of May. These were enough to drain him of what little strength he had. With some relief alleviated, our hero returned to sleep.

Trini, tears in her eyes, gently kissed Peter's forehead in relief he was okay. Tony quickly notified the doctors that all was fine and they were in the clear. Billy and Jason let out sighs of relief. No one had seen Strange, Fate or the other woman.

Just then, May Parker forced her way into the room, ignoring all but her nephew with tears in her eyes. She hugged the unconscious Peter, whispering a mix of curses and gratefulness of what he had done.

Three hours later, several bouquets and gift baskets were wheeled into the room; all from grateful families and civilains.

Peter learnt all of this later:

After he had snapped his fingers, Tony, had struck Thanos with everything in his arsenal in a fit of rage, with Trini and surprisingly, Randy aiding in dealing what turned out to be a killing blow. Perhaps Thanos had surrendered willingly, perhaps he had been so shocked of his destiny being averted by a foolish child his battle instincts had failed him. Regardless, the Mad Titan was dead.

His forces had advanced despite his death, Maw leading the charge. The ensuring battle lasted only an hour and was almost hilariously one sided in the favor of the heroes, energized by Spider-Man's act. Eventually, the invaders, now at an 8th of their original number and with three commanders on top of their leader dead, retreated.

Pepper and Tony had then raced Peter to the nearest hospital as reports of 'the snapped' returning began to flood news channels and websites. Most of the veteran heroes all rushed to aid wherever they could, helping to minimize confusion and panic.

Steve had been quick to explain to the press what had happened, giving Spider-Man full credit for the return of those who had been lost, along with Black Widow's selfless sacrifice in ensuring it had been possible in the first place. Popularity of the two spider-themed heroes skyrocketed, with many praying for Spidey's recovery and Black Widow being posthumously awarded the highest honors available.

Sadly, as always, there were critics; one J. Jonah Jameson of the Daily Bugle tried to sow discontent towards Spider-Man by 'suggesting' his identity being revealed….at least, until Steve's glare had cowed him; along with Iron Man crashing the press conference and serving JJJ a lawsuit for malicious slander towards the hero of the whole affair.

When Ross had attempted to interfere, Tony 'accidentally' leaked his demand that the Avengers wait during the first avenger. The former General's popularity plummeted and he wisely shut up.

Tony had otherwise stayed at Peter's side, only leaving when Pepper demanded he go and eat something/wash up.

Thor had joined the Guardians of the Galaxy after making Sif the new leader of Asgard. The crew, now missing Gamora but gaining Neubula, decided to follow Carol as she joined the Space Rangers in aiding planets recover from the return of those who had been snapped.

Bruce was currently wandering, mourning the loss of Natasha, but usually aiding those who needed it.

Sonic had raced back home and been greeted with a hug from Tom and his family.

The Fantastic Four had returned to the Baxter building to see Franklin and Valaria looking for them. Richard and Sue tearfully embraced their children.

The Ninja Turtles had returned to their home to find their master and friends waiting for them, never prouder of them.

The Dragon Rangers returned home to see their parents waiting for them. Flokki tearfully reunited with Kayla and Rayne as Randy and Dr. Oliver watched nearby…before the good doctor and legendary ranger 'accidentally' pushed his nephew into a kiss with his crush.

Zack, despite worrying about Peter, had teleported back home, to find his mother sleeping peacefully…In fact, her sickness seemed to have diminished to a mild flu. Alita, having an idea how that happened, made a vow to visit and thank Peter later.

Pearl was reunited with Mr. and Mrs. Scott at the same time Trini's brothers found their parents were calling them to ask where they were.

Unknown to most, the universe was not at peace just yet:

The Moon shook as something burst from underneath its surface: A monstrous, eastern dragon like Zord that roared a might screech. Within the Zord, a malicious figure stirred; a figure that seemed to be missing its skin and otherwise wore a metal skeleton as a newly awoken snake crawled over it

"Time to finish what that fool Rita started."
