Hey guys, it's gothchic6 back with another chapter of Silver's Skater Girl!

It's been like a year and half, so sorry to keep anyone who's still reading wait so long for this chapter. I'm blaming life on this one, along with covid, depression, almost being worked to death by capitalism, and consistent shortages of my ADHD medication. Despite all of these difficulties, I haven't given up on this story and I don't plan to.

This chapter is a big boi, though, around 12,000 words, so I hope you guys enjoy the large amount of content. There's a little bit of everything in this chapter, and as always, I love playing with different characters' perspectives.

Thank you to Kuroyami-hime, alexbibi57, and QueenofNii for all following, and thank you to Fall3nAngel69 and QueenofNii for favoriting since my last update. Finally, thank you to QueenofNii for your hilarious review that gave me the power to keep writing this chapter many times! Silver is indeed a Devil! But we love him anyway. Apparently Calypso does too lol.

Anyways, I appreciate all the support from you guys, and I hope you enjoy reading this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Here's Chapter 23 of Silver's Skater Girl, Everybody Has Issues!

Disclaimer: gothchic doesn't own Pokémon, she just owns her OCs!

Chapter 23: Everybody Has Issues:

*Calypso's POV; Olivine City; Outside of the Olivine Gym; 10:00am*

Fuck, fuck, fuck, I wasn't expecting to deal with this right now. I'm speechless as Silver approaches me. My eyes are as wide as dinner plates, and I guess Silver can feel my anxiety because he continues on,

"There's no need to be alert. I don't bother with wimps like you."

I bristle at his obvious jab, finally finding my voice, "You proved that false in our last battle. I beat your ass. Or did you forget?"

Silver's face flushes brightly, and he's silent for a moment. Then, I hear his voice very quietly, "I can't forget it, not with a kiss like that…"

But then I also realize that Silver's mouth hasn't moved since my last statement! Which means I possibly just heard his thoughts! Fuck, fuck!

"...Whatever. Speaking of weaklings," Silver resumes speaking aloud, "the city's Gym Leader isn't here, and is supposedly taking care of a sick Pokémon at the Lighthouse. Humph! Boo-hoo! Jet let sick Pokémon go! A Pokémon that can't battle is worthless!"

I gasp at Silver's cruel statement, replying harshly, "Silver, you dickhole! All Pokémon are amazing regardless of their battling ability, and they deserve better lives than being stuck with a jerk like you!"

I notice him eyeing me with a strange expression, and I'm nervous because this is one of those expressions that I don't recognize. Silver is so unpredictable, and it both excites and scares me at the same time. I can't help but shiver a bit because this interaction is setting my nerves on fire and giving me massive Butterfrees in my stomach. I hope he doesn't notice.

"I wonder what it would be like to hold those…" I hear his voice quietly, and I realize he's subtly staring at my boobs. But once again, his mouth doesn't move. So I'm almost certain I'm hearing his thoughts.

I can't hide my shocked expression, and I blush uncontrollably. But then I get an idea. I project my voice through my thoughts, thinking audibly to Silver,

"You won't know until you try."

I know he heard me when he blushes furiously, and his eyes slightly bulge out. Thinking this is incredibly funny, I decide to mess with him more, thinking,

"You know I can hear everything you've been thinking for the last minute or so, right, Ginger Head Man?"

It's his turn for a shocked expression, and he glares at me sharply. "How much did you hear," he snarls viciously.

"More than enough for you to admit that kiss was real," I reply back slyly.

Silver grunts in frustration, and to my surprise, he grabs one of my wrists with one hand, and drags me to behind the Olivine Gym, where there are no windows or anyone who can see us.

"We need to talk," he says sinisterly.

"Obviously, or you wouldn't have dragged me back here," I respond back nonchalantly, "So you finally ready to admit that you're the one that kissed me, and that you liked it?"

He blushes again, growling, "Unn, shut up, brat," before pushing me up against the back of the building from behind.

"Silver, what do you think you're doing," I exclaim as he presses his front against my back, squishing me into the building. I squeak in surprise when I feel something hard of Silver's pressing firmly against my ass. It feels good in an odd way, and I emit a tiny moan to my disbelief.

Silver hears it, and presses up to me more closely. I shiver when I feel his hands slither around to my front, and go under my shirt right underneath my boobs, resting on my bare waist. I feel Beautiflies erupt in my stomach when he nips my neck with his teeth.

"Silver…," I gasp at his boldness and audacity, reaching downward to remove his surprisingly warm hands from my waist. To my surprise, he whips me around to face him again. Despite everything in my body wanting this forbidden touch, I shove him away from me. Knowing this probably isn't a good idea, I bark at him,

"What the hell do you want, Silver? I am trying to train for the Ecruteak Gym battle, and if you don't want a battle, I don't need any red headed distractions right now."

I think I see a small flicker of hurt flash across his face before he turns stony once again. I could just be imagining it, though. He keeps his distance this time, knowing I'm not messing around.

"How long have you been able to hear my thoughts? Is that why you've been able to win all of those battles against me? What else did you hear," Silver asks irritatedly.

"Believe it or not, Ginger Head Man, this is the first time I was able to do it. I recently learned of my family's psychic abilities that were passed down, and you're the first person whose thoughts I've ever heard. And trust me, it wasn't intentional! I was just as shocked to hear you think those things as you were when you realized I heard them."

Silver stays silent at the end of my statement, remaining stony on the outside, but I can see he's inwardly embarrassed to be caught having dirty thoughts. He glowers at me, knowing I've caught him in a trap that I didn't even know I'd sprung on him.

I look up at him deadpan, and ask him, "So are you ready to admit that you initiated and enjoyed our kiss in the Burned Tower instead of pretending it never happened?"

His glower upgrades into his classic death glare, a heavy blush accompanying it. This does nothing to prepare me for what's about to happen.

"Fine, I fucking admit it! In fact, I can't get it out of my head! It's been bothering me ever since it happened! You've been such a fucking distraction from my mission! So there! Is that all you wanted from me," Silver explodes at me.

"I can't stop thinking about it either," I reply, shocked by his answer and my own, "I want to know what you want from me, Silver. You're so fucking unpredictable, and just for once, I want to know what you're going to do."

He walks up and gets really close to me, and I can feel my heart pounding inside my chest. I've been pretending this entire time like his advances aren't wanted, when in reality, I've been dreaming of this for a long time, I've just had trouble admitting it to myself.

"I just want you," he murmurs inches away from my lips, and I can't help but be hypnotized by him. He said the magic words that made all hesitation fly out the window.

We instantly grab each other, him grabbing my hip with one hand, and pulling my hair with the other hand, while I interlock my arms around his neck. We lock lips, once again battling for dominance in the kiss. This time is softer, but much more passionate than before.

I squeak in surprise when Silver grinds his hips against mine. I feel his hardness against my pelvic region, and I blush because I also realize that I'm getting warm down below as well. But that does nothing to stop our lust frenzy for each other.

To my astonishment, Silver reaches underneath my shirt again to rub his hands over my boobs, his fingers stimulating my nipples from on top of the cloth material of my bra. In response, I moan and wrap myself more closely around him, fisting his long hair in my hands, and biting his bottom lip roughly.

He shocks me by crashing me back into the building, and pushing his hardness directly between my legs. The pressure and warmth make me wanna roll my eyes into the back of my head in pleasure. He attacks my neck while I moan quietly again. That's definitely gonna leave a mark, but I'm too entranced in my ecstasy to even care at this point.

I return the favor by jumping up and wrapping my legs around his waist, forcing him to hold me up by pressing me against the building, and holding my ass from underneath. As we make out, I press my boobs against his chest as much as I can. The pressure feels amazing.

We stay lip locked for a few more minutes before we stop to breathe. I let go of his waist, and stand up on my own. Wait, I can't believe I just did that. Oh Arceus, what have I done?

"Silver, what in the Distortion World are we doing," I whisper breathlessly.

"I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I've become so distracted from my mission because of you that I don't know what to do. I thought if I acted on it, I could put these thoughts to rest, and continue on my journey," Silver responds with more emotion than I've ever seen him express before. I knew he has a soft side, but I didn't want to learn about it in this way. I don't know if I'm ready for this. I have to be honest with him.

"Let me be honest, Ginger Head Man, I'm not in a position where I want to be dating somebody. I honestly do not have the emotional maturity right now, and let's be honest, we both have our own issues to deal with before we could ever get together. Everything in me wants to give into you, but I can't let myself feel like that for someone. I'm not ready for that level of intimacy," I explain, trying to hide the emotion behind it.

Silver's face is as red as his hair now, and he sputters indignantly, "Whoever said I wanted to date you? You're nothing but a convenient distraction. I choose to battle you because you happen to be the best Trainer around besides me. You're good for training. Among other things."

Originally, my initial reaction would be to break down crying, and kick the shit out of this motherfucker for his audacious words. Thankfully for Jerkface right now, I've been working on maintaining my reactions and mental health recently, so I manage to hide my anger and hurt behind a thick layer of snarkiness.

I roll my eyes and bark back, "Wow, GingerHeadMan. Yeah, sure I'm great training when I've beaten your ass three times. Also, you clearly just wanted to make out with me and feel me up behind the Gym. Look, I don't know what your issues are, but don't take them out on me, and use me for my body to make yourself feel better."

"I didn't use you, and I don't need you! I don't need anybody, so fucking remember that," Silver snarls at me, "Why don't you go train at the Lighthouse? Who knows? It might make you a bit better of a Trainer… or at the very least it'll get you out of my sight," he spits venomously before stalking off to who knows where.

I'm left to ponder my existence behind the Olivine Gym, wondering why Silver is like this. I can't believe I let myself get involved with him like this again. He shows one shred of emotional vulnerability, and tricks me into making out with him, and then turns into a massive asshole again. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but it still hurts.

Kissing him feels amazing, but I can't let myself get emotionally involved with him. I have a feeling that there's no future for that anytime soon. But he's so good looking, and such a good kisser. I can't help myself but get physically involved with him. I'm such a dumb impulsive teenager, I guess. But I'm kinda glad that it didn't go any further than that. Personally, I didn't want to lose my virginity behind the Olivine Gym. And were both more than a little excited. I promised Tina I wouldn't do anything reckless.

"Ugh, that Ginger Head Man is such a jerk sometimes. He's lucky he's so good looking. I can't believe I have to deal with this right now," I start sniffling. I start to tear up a little, and I growl to myself, angry that I let that Stud Muffin Ginger Head Man affect me like this.

Cyndi pops out of her Poké Ball, and she instantly rubs up against me, knowing I need comfort right now. I pet her, and she squeaks adorably.

"Thanks, Cyndi, I needed support after that and you really came through for me. I love you Cyndi," I express rawly as I rub her belly.

"I love you too," Cyndi says back as she purrs from her belly being rubbed, "Don't worry about that Jerk Face. The Team and I love you, and that's what matters, right?"

"Yeah, thanks Cyndi, I love you guys too. I appreciate you making me feel better, I reply back passionately, "So while Silver is a giant jerkface, his suggestion to train at the Lighthouse isn't a bad one. Personally, I don't think we're ready to challenge the Ecruteak Gym yet. We need some more training, and I need to get my mind off of this Tauros Shit for a while before we go back to Ecruteak City. Are you up for it," I ask Cyndi.

"Yeah, definitely, but first we need to stop at the Pokémon Center. A few of us are a little more than beat up," Cyndi replies.

"Yeah, I was already planning on it. So obviously I'm using Spirit and Dusk for the Ecruteak Gym Battle, but I'm planning on using you as a third Pokémon backup. You're strong in both Attack and Special Attack, and if we train you up, I'm hoping you can just overpower at least one of his Pokémon that way," I reason to her.

"Yeah, with Spirit and Dusk's type advantage, my pure power, and a bit of training, we should be able to defeat the Gym," Cyndi responds back.

So I heal the Team at the Pokémon Center before we head into the Lighthouse, passing a bunch of random people on the first floor.

Upon entering the second floor, we're challenged by Gentleman Alfred, who has a Level 22 Noctowl. Cyndi takes on the large owl Pokémon, defeating it with several Flame Wheels and Embers, while also losing half of her HP. Alfred gives me his number in case we want a rematch.

After that, Forest takes out Sailor Huey, and his two Pokémon, a Level 18 Poliwag, and a Level 20 Poliwhirl. I also grab Huey's phone number for a rematch in the future.

We ascend to the third floor, being confronted by Bird Keeper Theo, and his five Pidgeys. Cyndi takes on all five Pidgeys, taking all but one with one hit. She grows to Level 25 after this battle.

"Way to go, Cyndi! Your training is going really well today! If we keep going like this, I'll really be confident to challenge the Ecruteak Gym," I encourage her. She purrs, rubbing her head against my leg in affection, so I pet her again in praise.

Forest comes back out to waste Sailor Kent and his Krabby's. He finishes them, and to my intense surprise, he grows to Level 21.

"Forest, I'm so proud of you," I exclaim happily to him. He turns around to cheer for his victory when he starts glowing white. All of a sudden, his basic outline starts changing shape, and that's when I realize he's evolving.

Forest stops glowing, realizing himself to be a Weepingbell. I run up and cradle his larger form in my arms.

"Forest, you evolved! I can't believe it! Way to go," I congratulate him.

He cheers in response, and we do our victory dance.

"I'm so much bigger," Forest says as he observes his new body, "but I feel a lot more powerful. This new body will take some time to get used to."

Forest feels tired from his battles and from evolving, so I recall him to rest so only Cyndi is out.

I have Spirit take on Bird Keeper Denis' two Spearows, while Cyndi defeats the Fearow.

We continue onto the fourth floor, where Zellie grows to Level 19 after taking on Gentleman Preston's two Growlithes.

Forest, Spirit, and Dusk round out the last of the battles on the 5th floor. Forest takes out Lass Connie's Marill, Sailor Terell's Poliwhirl, and Sailor Roberto's Poliwhirl. Both Spirit and Dusk defeat one of two of Sailor Roberto's Machops.

We finally ascend to the final room, where we find a girl with long pigtails attending to a sick looking Ampharos. I'm guessing this must be Olivine's Gym Leader that Silver was complaining about.

She looks up when she hears that I'm approaching, and speaks softly, "I'm Jasmine, Olivine's Gym Leader. If you're a Gym challenger, I apologize, but I can't accept any challenges right now. You see, this Pokémon always kept the sea lit at night… But it suddenly got sick… It's gasping for air… I understand that there is a wonderful pharmacy in Cianwood… But that's across the sea… And I can't leave Amphy unattended… May I ask you to go get some medicine for me? Please?"

"I have to beat the Ecruteak Gym first to be able to cross the sea, but once I do that, I can definitely get that medicine for you. I actually know the Pharmacy Guy personally, so I can special order it for you," I reply.

"Oh, thank you so much," Jasmine replies back gratefully.

The Team and I go to leave when I hear another smaller, quieter voice whisper, "Thank you, Friend."

I whip around, startled, and I ask Jasmine if she said anything else. Looking at me weirdly, she shakes her head. I look down to Amphy, whose eyes are now open, and staring straight at me. I finally understand where the voice came from.

"I'll be back with the medicine soon, I promise," I pledge to them.

So the Team and I descend the Lighthouse down, heading back to Ecruteak City to go back home and eat before I decide whether I need to train more to take on the Gym.

*Third Person POV; Goldenrod City Hotel; 10:00am*

Joy and Jenny wake up in the morning after their first date, the bright sunlight pouring in through the cracked curtains, forcing them to get up for the day.

"Last night was so great, Joy! What do you want to do today? Oh, I am so excited for every moment with you," Jenny babbles happily.

"Okay, so we were talking about our Pokémon and battle strategies yesterday, but do you want to put them to the test, and have an actual battle today? I'd like to see all your Pokémon, and I haven't had a proper competitive battle since my Officer training," Joy suggests back.

"That sounds fun," Jenny replies back bubbly, "My profession has more battles per capita than yours, but you have more experience in the field and in general than I do. We'll see how that matches up."

"Do you maybe wanna also go for a jog around the city, and sightsee too? We could also get some coffee on the way back if you want," Joy proposes, "I know you need to keep physically fit for your job. We're exercising our Pokémon, why not ourselves?"

"Sounds like an awesome start to the day," Jenny exclaims, "We'll head out after we get dressed and eat breakfast downstairs."

So both Joy and Jenny get dressed, both of them in athletic attire today. Joy is wearing a sleeveless yellow jumpsuit, with white tennis shoes, and her hair in twin braids instead of her usual hoops. Jenny wears a lavender jumpsuit, with dark blue tennis shoes and her curly blue hair forced up into a solid bun at the base of her head.

The couple grabs their bags containing their Pokémon and head downstairs in order to catch the free hotel breakfast.

"Oh thank Arceus," Jenny expresses gratefully when they realize they've gotten there in time. Both women start loading their plates up with food, while they also order Pokémon food for their Pokémon.

"So what kind of battle do you want to have today," Jenny asks Joy while biting into a piece of bacon, "I only have three Pokémon, so it would have to be a three on three, or less."

"That'll be fine," Joy says in between bites of scrambled eggs and pancakes," I only use three Pokémon for battling anymore. I have five total, but Amelia and Moment, my Chansey and Hoothoot, are not battlers unless during an emergency."

"Sweet, that makes it simple. Did you wanna jog first a little, or did you want to go straight to the battle grounds," Jenny questions as they wrap up their breakfast.

"We can jog a little first to rev ourselves up a little, then we can go battle, and then we can finish with a jog to the Coffee Shop and back to the hotel so we can figure out our next plans. Does that sound good to you," Joy proposes as she leaves their server a tip for the good service.

"Perfect," Jenny beams back, and both women leave the hotel hand in hand, smiles resting comfortably on their faces.

*Third Person POV; Ruth's Safe House, Saffron City; 10:00am*

Both Donald and Monica, hungover from their activities the previous day, crawl out of their beds, and make their way to the kitchen, where they are astonished to see a fully functional Ruth in the kitchen making breakfast and sipping on a large cup of black coffee.

"How are you even a person right now," Monica grumbles to her, "This is one of the worst hangovers I've ever had, and I can barely walk in here."

"This is the only hangover I've ever had," Donald complains, "And here you are just doing all of this like we didn't just escape from the Johto Police into a different region on a Skarmory while drunk last night."

"Children, sit down, drink some coffee, and eat. You'll feel better," Ruth instructs them, "When you've had as many hangovers as I've had in my life, they become less bothersome than, say, a headache. When you've had your 1000th hangover, you've had all of them. They don't even affect me anymore."

"Lucky you," both Donald and Monica grumble back to Ruth, who just chuckles in response. They both take a seat at Ruth's kitchen table, drinking their coffee (Monica with cream; Donald with cream and sugar), and eating their breakfast of fried eggs, sausage links, and hashbrowns.

Soon, Donald and Monica start to feel better after eating and drinking a bit, and soon they're coherent enough to have a conversation.

"So what's our next move, Gran," Monica inquires to Ruth.

"Yeah, now that our old base is overrun with cops, and all of our stuff is over there. All of my costumes and equipment! I can't believe I just left it," Donald mourns the possible loss of his beloved possessions.

"You raise a good point, Donald. I have things in that house that I can't afford to lose either. I'm going to call Chuck from my landline in this house so that nobody can track my PokéGear number. I will have him and a few of his buddies check on the house to see if the Police are still investigating it. If they're not, I can probably get them to bring some stuff here to us," Ruth explains her plan.

"Do you think we can afford to trust anybody but ourselves right now," Donald puts forward, "Do you really think you can count on him not turning you in? You're a nationally famous criminal in Johto, and if anyone finds out we're in Kanto, you'll be internationally famous! The bounty on your head could be enormous!"

Ruth shakes her head, countering back with, "I'm confident that Chuck would never rat me out. We've been friends for at least ten years. He also owes me more than a few favors because I got him out of serving prison time for doing some stupid shit in his youth. He's lucky his mother and I were friends. And so am I, because it's coming in handy right now."

"We should also change our appearances. We need to be unrecognizable if we're going to be able to do anything outside of this house," Monica points out.

"Unfortunately, this house is meant to be a vacation house for my husband and I while we were married, and since our homestead was in Cianwood, most of our stuff is still there. I have basic amenities here, and I come here every so often to make sure the house is still running as it should and to replace food and other items. I don't have anything like hair dye, but I have a random assortment of clothing from Pete, Daniel, Akira, Calypso, and myself. We can use that to disguise ourselves enough to go buy what we need to truly disguise ourselves," Ruth accepts Monica's proposal.

"So who would be the most unrecognizable just by a clothes change," Donald asks aloud.

"Probably you or Monica," Ruth replies, "I'm the most known person, and I'm much larger and have many more identifying characteristics to cover up."

"I did the last outside run for us," Monica brings up, "Donald, it's your turn to stick your neck out for all of us. I'll pay for all the stuff, but you gotta get dressed up and go buy it."

"Are you fucking kidding me," Donald complains, but Ruth scolds him,

"Donald! Monica is right! Besides, no one has seen you without your costume. We don't even know what you really look like."

"Yeah, nerd, take off your costume! Ruth, can you grab him some clothes that you think will fit," Monica asks Ruth, who goes to do so.

Ruth comes back with a pair of jean cargo shorts with a black tank top and a pair of men's flip flops.

"This is an odd combination of Daniel's and Calypso's clothes. You're too skinny to fit Pete's clothes. You're sure lucky that Calypso is a tomboy," Ruth comments to Donald as she hands him the clothes.

"Do I look like the kind of guy who cares if he wears womens' clothing," Donald spits back before going to change his clothes.

Donald comes back, and Ruth and Monica are astounded by what they see. Out of the green dinosaur costume, Donald is long and lean, with longish shaggy black hair. Ruth can't help but note how well he fills out the clothes, while Monica can't help but feel that Donald is actually kinda cute.

"Damn, nerd, you clean up very well," Monica compliments him.

"Thanks, I guess," Donald responds awkwardly, "I'm so used to wearing the costume, that I almost forget what I look underneath it."

"Okay, Donald, you look so different that I don't think you'll need a new disguise," Ruth says in disbelief, "Monica and I still need to drastically change our appearances. Anyone have any ideas?"

"Now that I'm technically a criminal and wanted by the police, I want to do something drastic," Monica says excitedly, "I want to do a big chop down to a sexy bob, and I want it bubblegum pink like my eyes. I also want a wardrobe of all white, and make it sexy."

"That sounds like you," Donald responds, "Ruth, what about you?"

Ruth goes to speak, but Monica interrupts her, "Oooh, I know what we should do! We should bleach your hair Ruth, and dye it light blonde. We should dress you up like a teacher. Teachers dress a lot like lawyers, so what you have with a little bit of shopping, and you'll be good."

"That's actually a better idea than what I was thinking," Ruth is pleased by Monica's plans.

"Okay, Donald, here's a list of what all we need, and here is the money you need to buy it. Good luck," Monica says as she hands him the list and the money.

"Oh, and here's the landline's number to call us if you need anything or if something happens," Ruth inputs the number into his PokéGear.

"Sweet," Donald says as he goes to leave the house for the department store, "Here's to hoping this goes well."

*Tina's POV; Her and Calypso's House; 10:00am*

Since Calypso left two hours ago, I've been training my Pokémon in the backyard, and I've been compiling more research for Calypso's Court Case.

I'm sipping on my cup of coffee when my PokéGear rings. Speak of the devil! It's Joyce!

"Hello, this is Tina Platinum," I greet her.

"Hello, Ms. Platinum, this is Joyce Hutchinson calling you back. I'm currently trying to compile a list of charges for Ruth's accomplices, but I can't file any charges if I don't know who they are, or what they look like. I was wondering if you can give me all the information you know about them," Joyce asks me.

"Yeah, I can do that," I reply, "The female accomplice is named Monica Blodvek, she's 20 years old, and she worked as a Gym Trainer at the Goldenrod City Gym before all of this went down. She's around 5'4", with long, wavy yellow blonde hair, and pink eyes. As for the male accomplice, I know less about him. All I know is that his name is Donald, and he's a PokéManiac who wears a green dinosaur costume. I can't really tell you much else."

"Thank you, Miss Platinum, that helps a lot. The Johto Police Department has revealed Donald to be 19 year old Donald Kimble of Goldenrod City. The only other information that came with this is that he is involved with many theatrical and computer science endeavors. He could be very dangerous because of this. Also, I figured out the reason that they were able to post Ruth's bail is because Monica Blodvek is independently wealthy because of her job at the Goldenrod Gym," Joyce explains to me.

"That makes a lot of sense. Have you told Calypso any of this information," I question her.

"No, not yet. After yesterday's testimony, I wanted to ask you whether it would be appropriate to contact her for questioning again so soon," Joyce proposes to me.

"If she comes back here after she's done training to take on the Ecruteak Gym, I'll let her know you called. It'll be her decision as to whether she speaks to you again or not," I reply back.

"That is acceptable. Well, thank you for all the information, Ms. Platinum. I look forward to a call from you or Miss Primrose soon," Joyce says her farewells.

"Okay, thank you for all your hard work, Joyce, I'll let you know if there is any more information I came across," I say before I hang up.

*Calypso's POV; Route 39, Route 38, Ecruteak City; 11:00am*

After healing the Team in the Olivine Pokémon Center, the Team and I travel back up through Route 39, passing by all the butthurt Trainers we beat on our way up here the first time.

I was so focused on training last time that I didn't notice the large farm on the north side of Route 39. It appears to be a Miltank Dairy Farm.

I go inside the house where the farmer and his wife are inside.

"I'd offer to sell you some Moo Moo Milk, but we're fresh out right now," he explains.

"Our prize Miltank is sick right now, and isn't producing any milk," his wife continues sadly.

"I'm sorry to hear that," I reply back, "Does it need any medicine? I'm going to the Cianwood Pharmacy sometime in the near future. I can pick some up for you."

"That's really nice of you to offer, but all our Miltank needs is a lot of Oran Berries. We've been trying to raise them ourselves, but the soil around here is terrible for berry growing," the farmer explains.

"I'll try to grow some for you," I offer.

"That would be great! We would give you ten jars free just for helping us! Our Miltank is our livelihood, and without it producing milk, we could be done for," his wife thanks me.

"I should be back with berries soon," I say as I leave to go back to Ecruteak. Tina is a good gardener, hopefully she can help me with this.

I finally make it back to Ecruteak City, where I immediately go back to the house.

Upon opening the front door, I hear Tina bellow from the back, "You back from training, kiddo?"

"Yeah, Tina, I'm back! I think I still need some training before I take on the Gym, but I wanted a snack and to chill for a bit before I go back to training," I yell back to her as I walk back to the kitchen.

I see Tina sitting down at the kitchen table, a cup of coffee in her hands as always. I join her at the table, and I realize that she's supervising her Pokémon's training outside in the backyard.

"How's training going? Making any progress," I say as I sit down at the table with Tina.

"Eh, not the best. They've basically been rough housing for the last half hour. How was your training, kiddo," Tina asks back.

"We did really well, all of my Pokémon gained a level, and Forest evolved from a Bellsprout to a Weepinbell! I'm so happy for him," I beam cheerfully.

"I'm happy to hear it kiddo! So what do you want for your snack? I have plenty around here," Tina replies.

"Do you have stuff for sandwiches? And I'm also feeling like some lemonade if you have it," I request.

"I actually have all of that," Tina says as she opens the fridge, "What kind of sandwich do you want?"

"You got roast beef and cheddar?"

"Yeah, I got it. You want tomato, lettuce, mayo?"

"Yeah, that would be perfect! Thank you so much, Tina," I exclaim thankfully.

"No problem, kiddo. Hey, you look like you got something on your mind," Tina observes as she makes my sandwich, and pours me my lemonade.

"You don't miss a thing, do you Tina," I say as I take my first sip of the lemonade, which is really good, "When I got to Olivine City, my rival, Silver, confronted me in front of the Olivine Gym. He said his usual insults, but then I started hearing his voice, but softer. I realized that his mouth wasn't moving and I was hearing his thoughts."

"Wait, this is that Silver boy that kissed you in the Burned Tower, right? The red headed guy you call the Ginger Head Man and that you hate and love at the same time? And he's your rival. I can't believe you can hear other people's thoughts already! Calypso, you're starting to learn about your powers," Tina exclaims.

I sweatdrop a little at this. "It was only by accident! I've talked to you and my Pokémon in my mind before, but I've never read anyone else's thoughts but his! I'm slowly trying to get more used to my powers, but they don't work on people I don't know."

"Akira could only use telepathy with people she had an emotional bond with. That means your dad, me, your grandma, and her kimono sisters. It's a common trait among the Primroses. I've been looking for a Psychic Master to take you on for lessons. I sent an email to a Psychic in Saffron City, and I'm hoping he can teach you," Tina tells me.

"Sweet, I'm excited! Thank you so much, Tina! You'll let me know if there's any updates on that," I ask.

"Of course. Now tell me more about the thoughts you heard. Silver's thoughts," Tina inquires.

I can't help but blush a little, and I say embarrassedly, "I heard him think about not being able to forget our kiss…"

"Well, it's clear you can't forget about it either," Tina comments.

"Honestly, you're right. I just wanted him to admit that it happened and that he liked it," I admit to her.

"So what happened? Did you hear him think anything else," Tina inquires.

"Ummmm…" I mutter embarrassedly, "I'm not sure you want to hear that…"

"Calypso," Tina bursts, "Did something happen between you and Silver?"

"Tina, he wondered what it would be like to hold my boobs," I can't help but yell aloud.

Tina's eyes widen considerably. "So something definitely happened. Go on, kiddo tell me everything."

"I called him out on his thoughts, and I made him admit that he initiated and liked our kiss in the Burned Tower. Then we made out behind the Olivine Gym! Then he got mad after talking for a little bit, and stalked off. He's so weird, Tina. I can't help but want to be physically involved with him," I confess pathetically to her.

"Hey, sexual tension is one hell of a drug," Tina points out, "It's not like I haven't gone and done the same thing myself. Just be careful, and use protection."

"Tina, you're so embarrassing sometimes," I complain to her, "but I love you anyway. But you're ridiculous about this protection thing. I don't know about you, but I was not looking to lose my virginity behind the Olivine City Gym. Not on my list of good ideas or future plans."

"I know I'm a little ridiculous," Tina retorts back as she gives me my sandwich, "but it's for your own good. I don't need my baby having babies while I can still have babies. We don't need that stress right now."

"You've got a point there," I say as I eat the sandwich eagerly, "So you said you've had a fling with a female biker gang leader before, right?"

"Yeah, we had a thing going for a while before she moved to another region to begin a new life. I really liked her too," Tina states sadly, "What about it?"

"So you like girls, and boys? You're bisexual," I inquire.

Tina looks at me, confused, "Yes, you've known this. I've talked to you about relationships with both men and women."

"Tina," I start to ask hesitantly, "Were you just friends with my mom and my dad? Or was there something more?"

Tina blushes heavily, rendered speechless from this question, before sputtering indignantly, "You're really asking me about your deceased parents' sex lives? Isn't this the kind of thing that would be most kids' nightmares?"

"Funny how you're avoiding answering the question, Tina. Look, if you were involved with either of them or both of them, I'm not going to judge you. You are family to all of us, regardless. But the way you talk about the both of them sometimes reminds me of someone talking about a lover, not a friend. That's why I asked," I explain.

"All right, kiddo, you caught me. I was involved with both of your parents," Tina admits,

"I was friends with your mom before she met your dad, and we were best friends with benefits for a while. When she met Dan, I thought Akira and I's flings were over, but to my surprise, both of them invited me into their relationship.

All three of us functioned as a couple for a long time, and when Akira got legally married to Dan, they both chipped in to get me a ring, and we did a commitment ceremony since polyamory marriages aren't legal in Johto.

When they died, I lost my two best friends and lovers, and you were the only thing left from our relationship that I had, and Ruth took you away from me. So to answer your question, yes, I was involved with both of your parents."

I smile happily, beaming back at her, "I thought so the entire time. You were all way too close to just be friends or roommates. But can I tell you something about me, Tina?"

"Yeah, what's up, kiddo," Tina responds curiously.

"I've been having some feelings for a female friend lately… I think I might be bisexual too," I come out to her.

Tina grins, and replies eagerly, "I'm glad you felt comfortable to tell me this Calypso. Let me know if you have any questions regarding sexuality."

"Nothing that I can think of, but thank you for listening to me. You're the first person I've told so far," I thank Tina.

"No problem, kiddo, I'm glad I could be here for you."

We eat our lunches in comfortable silence for a few more moments before Tina gets up and starts cleaning up.

"Hey, kiddo, before I forget, prosecutor Hutchinson called earlier when you were out training. She wanted to know if you're willing to provide detailed information about Donald and Monica, Ruth's accomplices. I told her as much as I knew, but you're the one they have history with, so she figured you'd know more," Tina lets me know.

"Oh sweet, Tina, thanks for telling me. I wanna nail those assholes down, so I'll probably call her before I decide whether I need to train more before I take on Morty's Gym. Hey, Tina," I continue aloud.

"What's up, Calypso?"

"Could we try talking inside our minds for a while? I want to try working on my telepathy before the Gym battle. I'm going to do it with my Pokémon too. Hopefully, it will help," I request.

Tina looks at me, and winks. 'Sounds like a plan, kiddo!'

I think back to her, 'Thanks, Tina!'

*Third Person POV; Goldenrod City; 11:30am*

Joy and Jenny spend their morning having an intense three on three Pokémon battle.

Joy ends up winning barely, her slight battle experience enough to win her the battle against Jenny.

Joy's Level 17 Growlithe edges out Jenny's Level 13 Poliwag, despite having a type disadvantage. Jenny's Level 14 Aipom just manages to defeat Joy's Level 14 Exeggcute. Joy decides the battle when her Level 18 Slowking decimates Jenny's Level 17 Nidorina.

"That was so fun babe," Jenny squeaks excitedly to Joy after their battle, "Do you want to head to the coffee shop now? I'm having a craving for an almond milk latte, and we can sit and talk for a bit to figure out what our next move should be as a couple. Wait, we are a couple, right? I just realized I never asked you to formally be my girlfriend," Jenny realizes bashfully.

"Well, now you did," Joy replies back with a beaming smile, "And the answer is yes, by the way. You know nothing would make me happier."

Jenny squeals happily while planting a large kiss on Joy's cheek, making her instantly flush and giggle back happily.

"Well, let's head off then," Joy says satisfiedly, beckoning forward a very willing Jenny from behind, who is only so delighted to follow her like a lost Growlithe.

The two women make the short walk to Goldenrod City's most popular cafe, where Joy and Jenny both order a coffee: Joy a MooMooMilk cappuccino, while Jenny enjoys her almond milk latte.

"I'll admit, I want yesterday and today to last forever, but unfortunately we're both going to have to return to our regular lives and jobs eventually. I want to see you, but I don't want you to risk your job trying to come see me on shift anymore," Joy starts off after a few sips of caffeine.

"I promise I won't risk my job," Jenny cuts in, "but we need to figure out our work schedules so we can figure out when we can see each other."

"And how we're going to see each other," Joy adds, "since we both technically live at our jobs. That means I can't really bring you over and vice versa. The only other place we can go is home to our parents' houses, or pay money to get a hotel, which gets really expensive really quickly."

"I mean, it can start with dates until we can afford an apartment together," Jenny proposes, "a hotel once in a while shouldn't be too bad. Since you paid this time, I promise to pay next time."

Joy smiles warmly at her, "I appreciate that. It's nice to not have to worry about next time," Joy pauses for a moment, "There is something else I wanted to talk about though."

"What is it," Jenny can't help but ask nervously.

"Do you want to tell our families about us anytime soon? I want to be able to take you home and introduce you to my parents eventually, but I don't want to make you uncomfortable by forcing you to do something you don't want to do," Joy explains.

Jenny hesitates for a moment before replying quietly, "To be honest, I'm not really close with much of my family besides my sister. Jenny Charlotte is cool, but my parents, not so much, let alone the rest of my family. They're all a bunch of narcissistic, control freaks who feel the need to tell me and Jenny Charlotte how we should run our lives. Nah, we both decided a long time ago together that we wouldn't let our families try to ruin our lives. I've pretty much gone no contact with them, just like Jenny Charlotte."

Joy looks at her sadly for a minute before taking Jenny's hand in hers and rubbing it tenderly. Trying to liven up Jenny's mood, Joy smiles at her warmly, responding, "Well, then my family are just going to have to adopt you. My mom is already cool with us, and everyone else in my family basically goes along with whatever my mom says anyway. They'll love you! We can grow a new family together."

Jenny tears up at her girlfriend's love towards her, and she leans her head on Joy's shoulder, leaning up to chastely peck her on the lips.

"I love you, Joy Cameron," Jenny passionately states to Joy.

"I love you too, Jenny Paige," Joy cuddles Jenny in the middle of the cozy cafe.

The two enjoy the rest of their afternoon drinking their coffees, eating pastries, and talking about their lives, enjoying each others' company.

*Calypso's POV; Ecruteak City; 1:00pm*

I call Joyce Hutchinson right after lunch, spending at least thirty minutes putting Donald and Monica on blast, telling her every single detail I know about them.

Apparently Ruth considers them to be her new grandchildren. Good luck for them on that, I didn't last long in that position, nor did I ever want to. Maybe she'll treat them better than she treated me, which was like shit.

I don't know why I even thought about it in the first place, but maybe deep down, I'm a little hurt that she could treat total strangers better than she ever wanted to treat me, her biological granddaughter.

I think that's something I'll talk to Tina about later. I'm trying my best to process my thoughts and emotions instead of just squashing them down until they explode. Thoughts about Ruth are especially sensitive recently, and I have to deal with them carefully unless I want to deal with a full scale mental breakdown.

I also talk to Tina about raising Oran Berries for the MooMooMilk Farmers, and she agrees, immediately planting a few seeds in the backyard.

I analyze my team's stats, trying to decide whether we need to train more before the Gym battle. Cyndi is Level 25, Spirit is Level 22, Dusk is Level 21, Forest is Level 21, and Zellie is Level 19. Based on the information Tina gave me about Morty, I don't think we're at a high enough level to take him on yet. So I decide to take the Team to Route 42 and Mr. Mortar to train, despite my gruesome past with the route.

I do a mental protection before crossing into Route 42, where a random Hiker emerging from out of Mt. Mortar immediately catches my attention.

"Hey, I see you have Goldenrod City's Gym Badge! You're gonna need some HM04 Strength if you're gonna get through this cave," the Hiker puns at me. I can't help but chuckle a bit, and I thank him for his much needed humor. I go ahead and teach Zellie HM04 Strength, replacing her Quick Attack. Her high Attack is perfect for this move anyway.

I'm also in luck since I randomly happen to find a TM65 Shadow Claw behind the directional sign! This would definitely help with the gym battle, if any of my Pokémon could use it… Sigh… Of course.

The Team and I head into the western entrance of Mt. Mortar, where I have both Spirit and Dusk out, Dusk in the front of my party so she can train and get more experience. I'm going to try and balance out the training between the two of them, so they're both ready to go for the Gym Battle.

We pass through the main entrance, heading to the back lower cave. Dusk fights a few random Pokémon on the way, eliminating the Machops and Zubats with ease. We climb the couple of ledges on the left side of the caverns, climbing up a pair of stairs that leads back to the room with the waterfalls, where we find an Ether, which I'm stoked about.

This area is a dead end, so we head back down to the lower cavern, exploring the majority of the floor with the help of Zellie's HM04 Strength. We happen to find quite a few items, including a Revive, a Max Potion, an Ultra Ball, and a Nugget! I stuff everything into my bag excitedly.

Dusk and I also discover Super Nerd Markus, who has a Level 19 Slowpoke. Dusk has no problem taking it out with a few Astonishes, and she grows to Level 22 right after beating him.

We head towards the eastern exit of the lower cavern, and we walk within the eyesight of Poké Maniac Harrison, who challenges us to a battle. I have to do my best not to associate him with Donald so I don't do something stupid and kick his ass for no reason. Not all Poké Maniacs are actual maniacs, I hope.

He sends out a Level 17 Nidoking, and initially I'm intimidated, but I realized that Dusk is immune to all Normal and Ground type moves, and she's resistant to Poison type moves as well. I doubt Nidoking will be able to do much damage to her.

I'm proved right as Dusk is able to take out his Nidoking with minimal damage, but I switch her out with Zellie to take care of his other Pokémon, a Level 17 Nidoqueen.

Zellie gets a little more hurt in the process, but she defeats Nidoqueen, the experience enough to skyrocket her from Level 19 to Level 21! She has the opportunity to learn Aqua Jet, so she forgets Sonicboom in order to learn it.

After collecting my winnings and healing my Team up, I switch Spirit to the front of the party, hoping she can gain a level or two as well.

We encounter no other Trainers in the cave, exiting back out into Route 42, passing the cursed lake where my parents died all those years ago. I can't help but sweat anxiously when I pass it, though Dusk and Spirit do a great job of being funny and distracting me from my misery.

Spirit takes on all the Pokémon of Fisherman Tully and Poké Maniac Shane, losing a significant amount of HP and suffering through Poison status twice, but gaining enough experience to grow to Level 23.

Then Forest and Zellie split the battle against Hiker Benjamin and his three Pokémon. Zellie takes out both his Level 15 Geodude and Level 15 Diglett, growing to Level 20 in the process. Forest wastes his Level 17 Dugtrio, also growing a level, from Level 21 to Level 22.

The Team is a little beat up, so I head into Mahogany Town, quicking heading to the Pokémon Center to heal. My Team is still slightly underleveled for my taste, so I decide to head up Route 43, which is on the way to the Lake of Rage. I've heard that the poor Magikarp have been being forced to evolve due to some sketchy shit happening recently, but until I beat the Ecruteak Gym, I can't really do anything to investigate it.

We try to go through the checkpoint on the right, where I'm immediately accosted by a Team Rocket Grunt trying to extort me for 1000 Poke for just crossing through. He also threatens to beat me up if I don't give him the money, so I have to do the right thing, and kick him in the balls with my combat boots. It's only fair since he decided to be a dick. Shuffling by his groaning form on the floor, the Team and I head further into Route 43.

We start fighting the Trainers, the first being Camper Spencer. Forest annihilates the Level 18 Sandslash, Zellie ends the Level 18 Sandshrew, and Spirit rounds it out by eliminating his Level 20 Zubat.

We continue the slaughter, Spirit and I facing off against Picnicker Tiffany and her Level 21 Clefairy. Spirit gets put to sleep once, but it only stalls Clefairy's inevitable defeat.

Next up is Poké Maniac Brent. Dusk takes on both his Level 20 Nidorina, and his Level 24 Nidorino. She loses a lot of HP, but she gains enough experience to grow to Level 23. She has the opportunity to learn Psybeam, which she eliminates Mean Look in order to learn.

Spirit comes back out to waste Poké Maniac Bennett's Level 20 Slowbro, gaining a huge amount of experience, and propelling her to Level 24.

The last and most difficult Trainer is Fisherman Marvin. His Level 10 and Level 15 Magikarp are a joke, and Forest has no problem taking them out with a single Vine Whip. It's the Level 20 Gyarados that presents a problem. We manage to defeat it by poisoning it, and reducing its HP enough times while also surviving long enough to knock it out. The combined experience is enough to jet Forest to Level 23, where he has the opportunity to learn the move Acid. We decide to replace PoisonPowder with Acid.

Battling that Gyarados makes me realize that I need an Electric type on the Team. It'll help me deal with Silver's Croconaw if I ever need a backup besides Forest, and having an Electric type is handy for dealing with Flying types too.

I've seen some Mareep and Flaafy roaming around here, so Forest and I try to hunt one down. We finally find a Level 15 Mareep just chilling nonchalantly in the middle of a grass patch. I have Forest put it to sleep with Sleep Powder before having him use Cut once to reduce the Mareep's HP. One Poké Ball later, and I have a Mareep!

It's a male Mareep, so I decide to name him Baab. Like Bob, but like the noise the Mareep makes.

Besides the newly captured Baab, my team is now right where I want them to be to challenge the Gym. Knowing my Team is really tired, I use a few Repels so we can sneak back down both Route 43, and back to Mahogany Town, where we heal up again.

We also sneak past the Pokémon in Route 42 and Mt. Mortar, our only objective is to get back home in time for dinner. We spent around four hours traveling and training, so it's around 5pm. I'm sure Tina is in the middle of making dinner right now.

We finally get back to Ecruteak City, where we head back to my house. Tina greets us warmly, leading me and my Pokémon to the kitchen, where dinner awaits for both. She's excited to meet Baab, the newest and final member of my team, and she serves dinner first for the Pokémon, and then for us.

"I sauteed some Seaking filets in Miltank butter, then made a cheese risotto, and also sauteed some green beans in the butter. I hope you like it," Tina says as she hands me my plate. She's serving it with ice cold sweet tea.

"Thanks, Tina, I appreciate you making dinner. Besides, you're automatically a better cook than Ruth because you actually put love into your food," I remark before taking the first bite, "Tina, this is really good! I think you finally got me into eating vegetables!"

Tina chuckles, and responds snarkingly, "That's what happens when you actually season them properly."

We spend a few minutes eating in comfortable silence before Tina starts mental conversation,

"So how did your training go kiddo? I see you have a new team member, and your Pokémon look a bit stronger!"

"Yeah, I caught Baab after having to battle a really strong and annoying Gyarados that belonged to a Fisherman on Route 43. It was one of the biggest pain in my ass battles I've had, and I don't want to have to repeat that shit, to be honest. Anyways, I mostly trained Dusk and Spirit, since they're my frontrunners for the Gym Battle. They both gained two levels, while Forest and Zellie also gained a level. Cyndi is already at a pretty high level compared to the rest, so I let her rest for a while," I explain.

I show Tina my stats, and she smiles fondly. "I think you're ready to challenge the Gym, kiddo!"

I return the smile, replying, "I think so, too. I think I'm going to challenge the Gym after I nap for a bit after dinner. My team has worked really hard today on their training, and I need to give them a slight breather before we go out and challenge the Gym."

"That's probably a good idea. You don't want to overwork them too much, or they'll resent you. You're a good Pokémon Trainer, Calypso," states Tina. Her statement makes me warm and fuzzy.

"Thanks, Tina, I try. Well, I think the Team and I are going to take a nap until around seven-ish, and then I'll get going to the Gym," I say as the team and I head back to my room to lay down.

"Have a good nap, kiddo," is the last thing I hear before I set an alarm for seven pm, and collapse on my bed, my Pokémon piling asleep around me.

*Donald's POV; Saffron City; 10:00am-2:00pm*

I hold the massive amount of Poke that Monica gave me earlier to buy our disguises. She gave me more than enough for all three of us, if not more. I wonder if she'll want the rest back? It's not like I'm getting an allowance from my parents anymore.

Oh yeah, my parents… That's something I've been trying not to think about lately, because whenever I do, I start to have the urge to vomit. Honestly, it also makes me want to cry, but I push their memories down again, and force myself to be okay.

I spend quite some time in Saffron's department store, picking up clothes, accessories, hair dye, and make-up for Ruth and Monica. Once I have their stuff picked out, I start heading to the checkout, but then I get an idea.

My parents never let me experiment with my clothes, and that's why I always wore costumes if I could. Now that I'm on my own, I can dress however the fuck I want! I deserve to have a new identity too!

I decide to go for a gothic look. I may or may not be influenced by some goth dudes I saw Super Nerd Eric check out a few times. I pick out some black skater cargo pants, chunky black and red skater shoes, a baggy graphic tee with a Gengar on it, some nice chains for various places, and some bright red hair dye and dark makeup to complete the look.

"Shit, Ruth and Monica are going to be surprised, but they can deal. I deserve this," I say to myself as I finally head to the checkout. Like I suspected, Monica's money is more than enough to cover everything we needed to buy, and with some left over. I even bought a few food items just in case!

I grab all the bags, and start walking back to Ruth's house, careful not to look suspicious to anyone. I finally make it back, where Monica and Ruth have been waiting impatiently.

"Finally, dweeb! I thought you'd never be back! What the fuck took so long," Monica exclaims annoyedly.

"Hope you don't mind, but I got some stuff for myself too. I wanted a makeover too," I joke with the two women, hoping I don't piss them off, "It goes with the new backstory I've created for us."

"Okay, Donald. Explain your costume and the reason behind it," Ruth replies.

I can't help but be a little excited explaining my costume, "Okay, so since Monica is disguised like she is, she kinda looks like a singer. I picked up some gothic clothes, and I figured we could say we're in a band together. We can call ourselves 'Beauty and the Beast.'"

"Oh, I get it, I'm the beauty, you're the beast," Monica can't help but chuckle back, "Nice one, Donald! But how does Ruth's costume fit in with ours?"

"Okay, Ruth, I think it's the safest to say you're our band manager and agent. You look official so I think it'll be believable," I respond.

"Sounds good to me," Ruth replies happily.

So all of us start putting out costumes together, Monica helping bleach my ends, and Ruth's entire head. She is also the one to apply all the hair dye, from her bubblegum pink on herself, to Ruth's platinum blonde, and finally my blood red ends. I can tell she is a pro at this, and if she weren't a professional Pokémon Trainer, she could definitely be a professional hair stylist.

When the hair is finally done, we all put on our clothes, and thankfully everything fits. Monica also seems to be proficient in makeup artistry, as she comes over to help me with my gothic eyeliner when I keep smudging it in the wrong places.

We're finally all done, and we bask in the glory of our new identities. I take the alias, Ricky Specter, a 21 year old vocalist and multi-instrument musician. Monica takes the alias, Candy Miller, a 21 year old vocalist. And Ruth takes the alias of Sandra Simpson, a 58 year old band manager.

"All right, the final finishing touch is to put more detail into our back stories and identities," Ruth remarks.

"Yeah, like what kind of band are we even in Donald? I can sing, but I can only sing pop music," Monica explains.

"Okay, so hear me out," I start out, "We're a pop metal band. You're the pop, I'm the metal, obviously. I can play quite a few instruments, so if you can at least sing, then I think we can fake this all the way through."

"Okay, Donald, we're putting our trust in you on this one. Please don't disappoint us," Ruth replies sternly. Her tone puts me on edge, and I want to do everything in my power not to disappoint my family again.

"I promise I won't," I state back with fake confidence, "So what's our next plan?"

"Next, we steal our stuff back from Cianwood City," Ruth says as she stands up and shakes her fist.

"Yeah," we both cheer back at her energetically.

*Silver's POV; Cianwood City; 5:00pm*

I get can't Calypso out of my fucking head and it feels like it's eating me alive. Why did I have to be so stupid and say all that hurtful shit to her? Why do I care? I don't actually care about the brat, do I? The only person I've cared about in the last eight years is me, myself, and I. Why has that suddenly changed now that I know her?

"This is so fucking stupid," I grunt to myself as I heal up my Pokémon from the battles on Routes 40 and 41.

I can't believe she'd even consider dating me, a criminal, and the secret son of Team Rocket Leader Giovanni. That's definitely something I don't want her to know. And now I hate myself all over again because I care what she thinks of me. She's right about one thing, we both have issues.

But I can't help but take any opportunity to kiss her, to touch her, and I don't know why. I've never felt this strongly towards someone unless it was anger, hatred, or annoyance, so this is definitely a first for me. I never intended to like anyone like this, but battling her and kissing sets my heart aflame. And that mushy thought almost makes me gag. I hate this sappy shit.

But then I had to go and mess everything up with her by saying that I don't care. And the thing that hurts most is that I do care, but I hate myself for it. I have no idea how to show it. It's not like I have any experience with this shit. Not that she does either, but I don't want her to know that.

She was correct about me spying on her in Azalea Town, and now I may or may not be in Cianwood City to check out her Gran's old house here in Cianwood. I may or may not be a little obsessed. But I'd never admit that to anyone but myself.

To distract myself from my complicated thoughts, I decide to go to the house of a guy who's been bragging about his rare Pokémon. I threaten him with my switchblade, and he immediately hands over his prized Pokémon, and Level 20 Sneasel, which I add to my team instantly.

After leaving his house, I sneak my way up north to check out what I came here for, Calypso's Gran's house. But I'm disappointed to find it completely covered with crime scene tape and guarded by several Officer Jennies. I wonder what the fuck happened with that? Guess that's a no-go if I don't want to be arrested.

That'll be something I'll have to search for information about later. For now, I guess I might as well challenge the Gym while I'm here since the Olivine Gym Leader is neglecting her job. Maybe it'll keep my thoughts of Calypso at bay…

No such luck.

*Calypso's POV; Ecruteak City; 7:00pm*

My alarm interrupts whatever weird dream I was probably having, and I instantly rise up, shuffling quite a few Pokémon in the process.

"Sorry guys," I apologize for waking them, "It's time to go challenge the Gym, if you guys are up for it!"

All of my Pokémon look excited, especially my main battlers for the Gym Battle, Spirit, Dusk, and Cyndi. We all get up and run out of my room, heading towards the kitchen where Tina is.

"Hey, kiddo, glad to see you're up! I made some dessert while you were sleeping, it's classic fudge with nuts," Tina offers me the delectable candy upon entering the kitchen, which I pop into my mouth immediately.

"Thanks, Tina, I'm gonna need the energy to challenge the Gym," I reply back telepathically.

"Well, good luck, kiddo, you know I'm always rooting for you. I'll see you when you get back," Tina encourages me as I walk out the door.

It takes no time to walk over to the Gym. To prevent what happened last time, I do a mental protection over myself and my team so we don't get overwhelmed like last time.

I am finally able to see through the stormy clouds of the gym that triggered me before. The mental protection really helped open up my abilities, I guess.

Now able to see properly, I send Dusk out first in my party to battle the Gym Trainers. We communicate entirely through telepathy, shielding my commands from the other Trainers with ease.

The first Gym Trainer we encounter is Medium Georgina and her five Level 16 Gastlys. Dusk one shots all of them with a super effective Psybeam attack.

The next Trainer, Medium Grace, has two Level 20 Haunters. Both Spirit and Dusk each take one on, Dusk earning enough experience to raise her level to Level 24.

Spirit evens out the experience by defeating Medium Edith's Level 22 Haunter, gaining the experience to grow to Level 25. She has the opportunity to learn the move Assurance, which she deletes Night Shade in order to learn.

Now I see that all of the Gym Trainers are defeated, only Morty is left to fight. I see Morty's tall form ahead on the final platform.

"It's good of you to come, Calypso," he starts as I approach him.

"It's good to be here," I interrupt him cheekily.

He throws me a small smile before continuing his monologue, "As an Ecruteak native, you know that Pokémon have long been revered in Ecruteak. The legend of Ecruteak says the rainbow colored Pokémon will appear to a truly powerful Trainer. I always believed that legend, so I've been training all my life. As a result, I can now see what others cannot. I see the shadow of the person who will make the Pokémon appear, and I believe that to be me. And our battle today will help me reach that level!"

"Sorry, Morty, not if I have anything to do with it! I came here to get your Fog Badge, and that's what I'm going to do," I reply back confidently.

Morty and I start off our battle, him sending his first Pokémon, a Level 21 Gastly. I send out Cyndi, knowing she can easily overpower Gastly.

"I see you inherited your mother's abilities," I hear Morty project in my mind.

"Get out of my head, blondie," I reply telepathically before doing a stronger mental protection to catapult him out of my mind.

I instruct Cyndi to start with Flame Wheel, while Morty commands his Gastly to use Lick. We both do so silently, using telepathy to communicate with our Pokémon.

Cyndi is faster, and her attack hits dead on, reducing Gastly's HP to a fourth. Cyndi doesn't escape unscathed, and while Gastly's Lick doesn't do much damage, it does inflict Cyndi with paralysis.

Cyndi is having trouble moving, allowing Gastly to use Lick again for minimal damage. But once Cyndi regains movement, she spits an Ember at the Gastly, instantly making him faint. Morty recalls him, switching him out with his Level 21 Haunter.

I decide to switch Cyndi out for Dusk so she can rest from her last battle. I instruct Dusk to use Psybeam, while Morty counters with Hypnosis. Unfortunately for us, Haunter is faster, and Hypnosis hits Dusk. She falls asleep, prompting Morty and Haunter to follow with a Nightmare attack to steadily wear down Dusk's HP.

Dusk loses an eighth of her HP from Nightmare, so I decide to end Morty's fun with an Awakening. I try to have her attack Haunter with another Psybeam, and he once again counters with Hypnosis. But this time, Haunter's Hypnosis misses Dusk. She takes her opportunity to attack him, her Psybeam becoming a critical hit that knocks Haunter out.

Morty sends out another Haunter, this time at Level 23. Since Dusk only took a little bit of damage, I decide to let her fight this Haunter also, so Spirit can fight his ace with full health.

Once again, Haunter outspeeds Dusk, this time using Sucker Punch. It's a super effective hit that reduces Dusk's HP to a little more than half. Thankfully, her Psybeam hits Haunter back for 2/3rds of his HP in damage.

Morty and I go around once again in the same loop, but Dusk manages to survive Haunter's second Sucker Punch long enough to defeat him with her second Psybeam.

"No, it's not over–not yet! I still believe we can do it," Morty says desperately as he sends out his final Pokémon, and his ace, a Level 25 Gengar that Tina had warned me about.

Dusk has done more than enough fighting, so I recall her for some rest, and I let Spirit take the stage for the final leg of the battle.

Gengar is much faster than Spirit, but I had anticipated that. Gengar lands his Shadow Ball attack, reducing Spirit's HP to a little more than a half.

But what Morty and Gengar didn't expect is Spirit's newly learned Assurance attack. It's doubled in power if Spirit is hit within the same turn as her attack, which she was. Spirit hits Gengar with all of her might, and to Morty's disbelief, Gengar faints from the super effective attack.

"How is this possible," Morty says to himself before recalling Gengar and walking up to me slowly. He's smiling at me oddly, like he knows something I don't. Wait, he's clairvoyant, he probably does!

"Calypso, I don't think our potentials are too different. But you seem to have something more than that… So be it, this badge is yours," Morty hands me the Fog Badge, "By having the Fog Badge, Pokémon up to Level 50, including traded Pokémon, will obey you. Also, now your Pokémon will have the power to use Surf outside of battle."

Spirit and I cheer at our hard won battle. I can't help but blush when Morty chuckles deeply at our celebration display.

"Here is another thing," Morty says after a second, producing a TM30, "I want you to have this too. It's Shadow Ball. It causes damage and may reduce Special Defense. Use it if it appeals to you."

"Thanks, Morty, this is perfect to teach to Dusk. I really appreciate it. It was good to see you after all this time," I exclaim to him with a sunny grin.

He returns my grin with his soft smile again. "Good to see you, too, Calypso. Maybe after you get stronger, we can have a rematch. Also, your ability to block me from reading your mind was very impressive. If you ever need lessons in your supernatural abilities, I will gladly teach you."

I thank him, and he gives me his phone number for whenever I want to start lessons with him.

After a brief pause of silence, he says something so softly I almost can't hear him, "I get it... The person the Kimono Girls were talking about must be you…"

What the fuck? I swear the Kimono Girls have been so mysterious around me, and now Morty is saying this shit?

"What did the Kimono Girls say about me," I inquire to Morty.

I suspect Morty is trying to play dumb blonde because he goes, "Huh? Oh, nevermind. You should be strong enough to go across the sea. When you go west and then south, you'll reach Olivine City. Why don't you head for it?"

"Yeah, I'm planning on getting medicine in Cianwood City for the Olivine City Gym Leader, so that's the way I'll be heading. Thanks for the battle. See you!"

We say our goodbyes, and I walk out of the Gym. It is now dark outside so I know it's time to head home. I'm gonna talk to Tina about this whole weird thing going on with the Kimono Girls.

"Hey, kiddo! Glad to see you're back," Tina remarks as I walk in the door brandishing my new badge, "I see you won your gym battle! I'm so proud of you, Calypso!"

"Thanks, Tina, it was a tough fight, but we roughed it out in the end! I'm just glad to be done with it. I'm really tired," I exclaim loudly, which is followed by a few yawns.

"It's pretty late, Calypso. Why don't you head to bed, I'll heal your Pokémon, and bring them to your room. I'll see you in the morning, kiddo. Love you," Tina hugs me as she takes my Poké Ball Belt with my Pokémon on it.

I was going to ask her about the Kimono Girls, but I'm way too tired to not take her up on her offer.

"Thanks, Tina, love you. I'll see you in the morning," I say before heading to my room and passing out from sheer exhaustion.

So what did y'all think about the new chapter? I'm honestly really happy about it myself, but let me know what you guys think in a review! My favorite part was probably writing the Silver/Calypso scene.

I'm going to try to update as soon as life will let me, but feedback always helps. See you guys next chapter!
