Chapter 28: Day Four of the Grand Magic Games Part 1
Jay opened his eyes after a peaceful slumber, he had slept well last night. The reason for sleeping peacefully through the night was resting in his arms, Jay smiled at the sight of Lisanna resting in his arms. Last night was incredible Jay thought, Lisanna was an amazing woman and Jay was glad to have her as a part of his harem. Soon after Jay opened his eyes, Lisanna did the same.
"Good morning Jay" stated Lisanna with a peaceful smile, loving that Jay was the first sight she saw when she woke up.
"Morning Lisanna" responded Jay before he leaned forward and pressed his lips against Lisanna's.
Lisanna smiled into the kiss, not caring about her morning breath as she gladly kissed Jay back. A pleasant warmth spread through Lisanna as she kissed Jay, a giddy excitement filling her. Wrapping his arm around Lisanna, Jay pulled her closer to him as he deepened the kiss. After serval moments Lisanna leaned back from Jay's lips, a blissful smile spread across her face.
"Jay last night was amazing" stated Lisanna as she snuggled closer against Jay's strong chest.
"Yah it was Lisanna. You are an incredible woman" responded Jay before he leaned forward and lightly kissed Lisanna on the lips.
"I'm really glad I can call you my girlfriend" stated Jay with a loving smile, making Lisanna giddy with joy.
"You made my first time perfect Jay. Being with you is amazing" responded Lisanna, trying not to get lost in Jay's handsome eyes while he gave her the signature Heartfilia smile. While Jay was happy to be with Lisanna, he wanted to make sure she was okay with the unusual relationship she would have with him.
"Lisanna are you sure you are okay with my harem? I'm sure you never imagined having to share the man you are with" asked Jay. Lisanna giggled at Jay's question, thinking he was being cute.
"Hehe yes Jay I'm sure. I don't mind that I have to share you" responded Lisanna in an amused tone as she leaned forward.
"I don't even mind that you have the hots for my sister" stated Lisanna in a teasing tone before she pressed her lips against Jay's. After enjoying the taste of Lisanna's lips for a few moments, Jay leaned back from Lisanna.
"I may have the hots for Mira, but I am very attracted to you also Lisanna" responded Jay with an amused smile. Shortly after Jay said these words he began to think about what time it was, he was planning on slipping out early in the morning before anyone caught him leaving Lisanna's room. While Jay was happy to be with Lisanna, he didn't want to be confronted with numerous questions if he was seen leaving Lisanna's bedroom since it would likely embarrass Lisanna. As Jay was thinking this, he heard a knock on the bedroom door.
"Lisanna are you up yet? It's almost time to leave for the arena, the games are going to start soon" stated Mira on the other side of the door. These words made Jay and Lisanna panic; they had apparently overslept after their nighttime fun.
"You're not getting sick are you Lisanna" asked Mira in a concerned tone since it wasn't like Lisanna to oversleep. Concerned for her little sister, Mira used the spare key she had to Lisanna's rented bedroom. Hearing the door being unlocked, Lisanna felt a strong blush creep across her face.
"Y-ah Mira I'm fine" responded Lisanna in a panicked tone, hoping that Mira wouldn't walk into her room and find Jay in her bed with her. It was too late; Mira opened the bedroom door shortly after Lisanna said these words.
"Are you sure Lisanna, it's not like you to" Mira started to say before she stepped inside Lisanna's bedroom and noticed that Lisanna wasn't alone. Seeing that Jay was in Lisanna's bed and was shirtless, realization dawned on Mira. Suddenly it made sense why Mira had heard strange noises coming from Lisana's bedroom late last night.
"Oh my" stated Mira in a surprised tone while Lisanna blushed crimson as she tried to cover herself.
"M-Mira I said I'm fine" responded Lisanna in an embarrassed tone, thinking this wasn't the way she wanted to tell everyone about her new relationship with Jay. Finding Lisanna's embarrassment adorable, Mira giggled in response.
"Hehe I can see that Lisanna. It certainly seems like you are doing okay, I'm glad" responded Mira in an amused tone while Lisanna continued to blush crimson.
"Good morning Jay" stated Mira in a sweet tone, turning her attention to Jay. Jay was somewhat blushing as well; he hadn't expected Mira to catch him in bed with Lisanna.
"Hey Mira, good to see you" responded Jay with a friendly smile, his bare chest still left exposed since Lisanna was currently using most of the bedsheets to cover herself.
"So does this mean you two are together" asked Mira in a curious tone. Lisanna thought she was going to die of embarrassment, she wished she could have this conversation when she wasn't in bed with Jay while Mira smiled innocently at them.
"M-Mira you're embarrassing me" responded Lisanna, her face burning with her crimson blush.
"Don't say that Lisanna, I think you two are really cute together" responded Mira in an amused tone.
"So are you two together or was this just a night of fun" asked Mira in a curious tone.
"Well I would love to be dating Lisanna, as long as she's okay with it" responded Jay with a friendly smile. Lisanna temporarily forgot her embarrassment as she turned her attention towards Jay.
"Of course, I'm okay with it Jay. I'd love to date you" responded Lisanna with a smile.
"That's great Lisanna, that makes me really happy" responded Jay before he leaned forward and kissed Lisanna on the lips. The kiss was cut short when they heard an excited giggle from Mira. Jay and Lisanna leaned back from each other, both sporting a healthy blush.
"You two are so cute together" responded Mira in her signature sweet tone.
"Mira could you give us some privacy so we can get ready for the day" asked Lisanna in an embarrassed tone, still aware of the fact she was naked in bed with a man while her big sister was standing in front of her.
"Hehe okay, Ill give you two some privacy just don't be too long or else you will be late for the games" responded Mira with a sweet smile before she turned around and walked towards the door. Jay and Lisanna breathed a sigh of relief, that is until Mira stopped just in front of the door.
"Oh, and Jay" stated Mira, her back turned towards Jay and Lisanna.
"What is it Mira" asked Jay in a curious tone, whishing that Mira would leave already so he could change. With his massive crush on Mira, this wasn't the optimal way Jay would have liked to reveal his new relationship with Lisanna. In response to Jay's question, Mira turned to face Jay while flashing her signature sweet and innocent smile.
"If you break Lisanna's heart then your body will never be found" responded Mira in a sweet tone but still somehow able to make the temperature of the room drop considerably. Jay felt genuine fear at these words, somehow the sweet and innocent Mira was radiating pure dark energy.
"Understood" responded Jay in a scared tone. After Jay said these words Mira walked out of the room, finally allowing Jay to relax.
"Geez that was scary. I guess she really is a she devil" stated Jay as he let out a breath he was holding. Lisanna despite the embarrassment at being caught with a man in her bed, giggled at Jay's reaction to Mira's threat.
"I wouldn't worry about Mira. Mira is the nicest person you will ever meet" responded Lisanna in an amused tone.
"Yah that may be true, but I get the feeling she was telling the truth just now" responded Jay in a fearful tone.
"Maybe but you will be fine as long as you don't break my heart" responded Lisanna in an amused tone. Jay smiled at Lisanna as he turned his attention towards her.
"I wouldn't dream of it" responded Jay with a smile, making Lisanna blush.
"Good" responded Lisanna in with a smile before she placed a quick kiss on Jay's lips. Leaning back from Jay, Lisanna continued to speak.
"We should get going Jay. I might not be in the games, but you are and I'd hate it if you are late because of me" stated Lisanna as she got out of bed. Nodding his head in agreement, Jay moved to dress himself.
"Yah you're right Lisanna, I wouldn't hear the end of it if I was late" responded Jay as he dressed himself. While Jay and Lisanna got ready for the day, Lisanna was trying to gather the courage to say something that she wanted to say last night.
"Okay, I'm ready. How about you Lisanna" asked Jay, turning to face Lisanna now that he was fully dressed. Lisanna was also fully dressed and seeing that this was her last chance to voice her feelings, took one last moment to gather the needed courage.
"Jay" responded Lisanna in a shy and nervous tone a cute blush spread across her face.
"Do you need something Lisanna" asked Jay in a curious tone.
"I w-want to tell you something" responded Lisanna in a shy tone. Jay smiled in response at Lisanna as he walked over to her. Stopping in front of Lisanna, Jay cupped her cheek with his hand as he looked into her eyes.
"Whatever it is you can tell me Lisanna" responded Jay with a loving smile.
"W-well I wanted to say" responded Lisanna in a nervous tone before she trailed off, not quite having the courage to continue speaking.
"Lisanna remember what we went over last night. There is no need to be shy or nervous around me. If you have something you want to tell me you can say it" responded Jay with a loving smile. Looking at Jay's loving smile, Lisanna got the needed courage to say her next words.
"I love you Jay" responded Lisanna quickly before she lost the courage to voice her strong feelings for Jay. After Lisanna said these words she leaned forward, crashing her lips onto Jay's. While Jay was surprised by Lisanna's sudden and heated kiss, he quickly wrapped his arm around Lisanna and pulled her closer to him. For serval moments Jay happily made out with Lisanna before he figured he should respond to her words. Leaning back from Lisanna's sweet lips, Jay gave her a loving smile.
"I love you too Lisanna" responded Jay in a loving tone before he leaned forward and captured Lisanna's lips with his own.
Lisanna was overjoyed to hear these words from Jay, she had taken a leap of faith by telling Jay how she felt. Overjoyed that Jay returned her love, Lisanna moaned into Jay's mouth as she deepened the kiss. Jay smiled into the kiss as it become more heated. Jay and Lisanna would have continued making out for serval more minutes if it wasn't for sudden loud shouting.
"HOLD ON! JAY IS WHERE" asked a loud and booming voice and it sounded really close. Suddenly leaping back from Jay, Lisanna had a look of panic spread across her face.
"Jay we have to get going" stated Lisanna in a panicked tone.
"What do you mean Lisanna, who yelled just now" responded Jay in a curious tone. Lisanna was about to respond but the bedroom door suddenly was knocked off its hinges and Jay was lifted into the air.
"WHAT IS YOUR INTENTION WITH MY SISTER" yelled Elfman in an angry and protective tone, lifting Jay by his collar. Seeing that Mira also walked into the bedroom, Jay figured she must have told Elfman that he was in bed with Lisanna. While Jay might have been scared at Mira's threat, he was well aware that he could easily defeat Elfman and thus wasn't too scared of him.
"Elfman let him go" responded Lisanna in an embarrassed tone.
"NOT UNTIL JAY TELLS ME WHAT HE INTENDS TO DO WITH MY LITLTE SISTER" yelled Elfman still in protective big brother mode.
"My intention is to love and cherish Lisanna of course, can you put me down now" asked Jay in a calm tone. Jay could have freed himself, but he figured it wouldn't be nice to beat Elfman down just because he was being a protective big brother.
"Elfman put down my boyfriend right now" stated Lisanna, still blushing in embarrassment. After Lisanna said these words, Elfman set Jay back down onto the ground.
"Look I get where you're coming from Elfman, believe me I do" stated Jay, hoping that Elfman would understand he meant no harm to Lisanna.
"I would be acting the same way if I found out some guy was in bed with Lucy" stated Jay, thinking to keep the fact to himself that was unlikely since he was fucking his own sister.
"You are just being a protective brother, but you don't need to worry about me. I won't hurt Lisanna" stated Jay before he glanced over at Lisanna before he continued to speak.
"I would do anything to make Lisanna happy, I love her" stated Jay, Lisanna blushing at his words.
"Aww that's so sweet. You guys are already saying I love you" responded Mira in a happy tone that only made Lisanna blush a deeper shade of red.
"Yah Lisanna just told me she loves me a few minutes ago and I feel the same way" responded Jay before he turned his attention back towards Elfman.
"I wouldn't do anything to hurt Lisanna, I love her" stated Jay, hoping that Elfman would believe him. Elfman studied Jay for a moment, trying to see if he could find any deceit in his expression.
"Okay I believe you, but you better not do anything to make my little sister cry or else" responded Elfman started to say before Jay finished his sentence.
"Or else my body will never be found, yah I know" responded Jay in an amused tone, making Mira giggle while Lisanna continued to blush.
"You two better stop threating Jay" stated Lisanna, standing beside Jay and reaching for his hand. Holding onto Jay's hand, Lisanna looked at her siblings with a determined look.
"Jay has been amazing. I don't want you two giving him the third degree" stated Lisanna, blushing red as she stood up for herself and Jay. Jay gave Lisanna's hand an affectionate squeeze, showing his appreciation for her words.
"Hehe you two are just so cute together" responded Mira, gushing over Jay and Lisanna. Seeing that Lisanna was blushing a shade of red as Mira continued to gush over them, Jay figured he should change the subject.
"I'm glad you approve of us Mira, but I think we should all get going. The games are starting soon, and it would be bad if Mira and I were late" responded Jay with a smile.
"I suppose you're right Jay, let's get going then" responded Mira in a sweet tone. Soon the four of them were walking through the streets of the capital, Jay and Lisanna were holding hands as they made their way to the arena.
"Your team better watch out Jay. Fairy Tail is about to show you what a real man is" shouted Elfman in an excited tone, getting pumped for the games as they continued to walk towards the arena.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you haven't even begun to see the real strength of Sabertooth. Truth is I was playing around with my fight against Lucy" responded Jay with a smile.
"You were playing around? What do you mean" asked Lisanna in a curious tone.
"I mean that I have a lot more power that I haven't shown yet. I can actually use dragon force, but Lucy wasn't strong enough to force me to use it" responded Jay with a proud smile.
"Wow you can actually use dragon force?! That's amazing Jay" responded Lisanna, aware of the raw power a dragon slayer can put out when they enter dragon force. Thinking to himself that he wasn't the only dragon slayer in Sabertooth that could willingly enter dragon force, Jay was sure that Fairy Tail didn't stand a chance against his guild.
"Thanks. I hope you guys now know there's a reason why I'm so confident in fighting someone like Erza. Erza's display against the one hundred monsters was incredible but I'm sure I can beat her still. I might have to go into dragon force to do that but if that is all Erza can do then I know I can beat her" responded Jay in a proud tone. In response to his words, all three Strauss siblings laughed.
"What's with all the laughter" asked Jay in a curious tone.
"Jay I'm sure you are strong, but Erza has a lot more power than what you've seen" responded Mira in an amused tone.
"No one beats Erza, Jay" responded Lisanna with a smile.
"Yah she's a real man" shouted Elfman.
"Well now I really want to fight Erza. I love testing myself against strong opponents and it sounds like Erza can offer me my biggest challenge yet" responded Jay in an excited tone, eager to test himself against the mighty Fairy Queen. As they made their way towards the arena a thought occurred to Jay. While Jay was fighting for Sabertooth so Yukino would have a home again, he still cared about Fairy Tail's safety which prompted him to speak.
"I would get in trouble if my guild finds out I told you guys this but I want to warn you" stated Jay in a tone that told the Strauss siblings that he was being serious.
"Warn us about what Jay" asked Lisanna in a curious tone.
"Theres a woman in my guild named Minerva who's on the Sabertooth team. If she participates in an event or a fight I suggest you just give up. I don't want to see anyone from Fairy Tail getting hurt" responded Jay in a serious tone.
"Jay we can't just give up" responded Mira in a concerned tone since Jay looked worried.
"That's right! Fairy Tail never gives up" shouted Elfman.
"Jay why are you warning us about Minerva? Is she that strong" asked Lisanna in a concerned tone.
"Yes Minerva is the strongest female wizard and Sabertooth, she's incredibly strong but that's not why I'm warning all of you" responded Jay in a serious tone before he continued to speak.
"Minerva is cruel, she revels in causing pain. I don't want anyone from Fairy Tail to be on the receiving end of one of her cruel beatdowns" stated Jay, hoping that the Strauss siblings would listen to his warning.
"Mira would you please pass this message to your team" asked Jay, hoping that the Fairy Tail teams would know to give up if Minerva participated in the games.
"No, I won't Jay" responded Mira, her response shocking Jay.
"Why not?! You don't understand. Minerva won't just beat you; she won't stop until your broken and begging for mercy for it to end" responded Jay in a worried tone.
"If that is what Minerva is after then she will be disappointed" responded Mira.
"Fairy Tail never gives up. Not a single person in our guild will break" responded Lisanna, thinking back to all the hardships her guild went through. Jay was left speechless at these words, only responding after a few moments of silence.
"You guys are serious aren't you? You're really not going to give up? I wouldn't warn you over nothing, Minerva loves inflicting pain on her opponents" responded Jay, shocked at how confident the Strauss siblings were despite his warning.
"We understand your worry Jay but Fairy Tail never gives up. There's not a single person in the guild that would even think about giving up" responded Lisanna, her siblings nodding their heads in agreement. Remembering Natsu's speech during the second day of the Grand Magic games, Jay was once again impressed with Fairy Tail.
"You guys really are a part of an amazing guild" responded Jay in an impressed tone, jealous that his own guild was nothing like Fairy Tail. While the Strauss siblings were happy to have their guild praised, they all shared a concerned look for Jay since they could hear his jealousy in his voice. Jay could feel the concerned looks about him, he knew what they were thinking.
"I'm going to change Sabertooth. You all have shown me that Sabertooth needs to change" stated Jay in a determined tone. Lisanna gave Jay's hand an affectionate squeeze, wanting to offer him her support.
"If anyone can change Sabertooth it would be you Jay. I believe you can change Sabertooth for the better" responded Lisanna in a sweet tone. Jay smiled at Lisanna in response, he was glad for her kind words.
"Thank you Lisanna, those words mean a lot" responded Jay in a grateful tone. Shortly after Jay said these words they all arrived at the arena.
"I should join my team now" stated Jay before he turned his attention towards Lisanna.
"I'll see you later Lisanna" stated Jay with a loving smile, ignoring the other Struss siblings as he leaned towards Lisanna.
Jay pressed his lips against Lisanna's, wrapping his arm around her waist as he pulled her closer to him. Lisanna moaned happily into Jay's open mouth, gladly returning the heated and loving kiss despite her older siblings standing nearby. After serval moments Jay leaned back from Lisanna's sweet lips. While Jay's hand was still wrapped around Lisanna's waist, Jay looked lovingly into Lisanna's eyes.
"I love you Lisanna" stated Jay, loving how his words made Lisanna blush a cute shade of red since Mira and Elfman were standing within earshot.
"I love you too Jay" responded Lisanna in a happy tone while she blushed a cute shade of red. Jay and Lisanna spent a few moments enjoying each other's embrace before Mira giggled with excitement.
"You two are just so cute together" stated Mira in a sweet tone. Lisanna stepped back from Jay, a strong blush covering her face thanks to Mira's gushing over them.
"Mira you're embarrassing me" responded Lisanna in an embarrassed tone. Mira giggled in response to Lisanna's words, finding Lisanna's embarrassment cute and endearing.
"Hehe sorry Lisanna, I just can't help it. You and Jay make a really cute couple" responded Mira in a sweet tone.
"I can agree with that" responded Jay in an amused tone before he leaned forward and placed a quick kiss on Lisanna's cheek before he continued to speak.
"I got to get going. I'll see you guys later" responded Jay before once again placed a quick kiss on Lisanna's cheek as a goodbye before he walked away from the Strauss Siblings. As Jay walked away from the Strauss Siblings he could hear Mira gushing over Lisanna and himself. Walking through the arena and towards the area his team would be waiting, Jay hoped that whatever happened today Fairy Tail wouldn't have to go up against Minerva.
"There you are Jay; we were starting to worry about you" stated Lector in a friendly tone as Jay walked into the meeting area. Jay spared a smile towards one of the two last remaining friendly members of Sabertooth.
"Sorry to make you worry Lector, I was just hanging with some friends" responded Jay with a friendly smile.
"Don't tell me your friends are those losers from Fairy Tail" responded Sting in a mocking tone.
"It's not my fault there are no humans in Sabertooth worth being my friend" responded Jay thinking that besides the talking cats there wasn't a single person in Sabertooth that cared about friendship.
"Whatever man. You better just hope you are ready for the games today" responded Sting in an annoyed tone, not understanding why Jay was bothering with Fairy Tail.
"Sting is right Jay. Don't forget about our deal" responded Minerva in an amused tone as she walked over to Jay. Reaching forward Minerva placed a hand on Jay's shoulder and playfully traced circles on his skin.
"It would be a shame if your little girlfriend couldn't rejoin Sabertooth" stated Minerva in a teasing tone. Fighting back the unpleasant feeling of Minerva's unwanted touch, Jay stepped away from her.
"I haven't forgotten Minerva. I might consider Fairy Tail my friends but I will still fight for Sabertooth. You just better make sure you honor your part of the deal or else" responded Jay in a cold tone.
"Mmm keep talking to me like that and I won't be able to keep my hands away from you" responded Minerva in a flirty tone, showing that she enjoyed the cold treatment from Jay.
"I could show you what being with a real woman feels like Jay, not like the weak women you fool around with" stated Minerva in a flirty tone, licking her lips seductively as she stared at Jay.
"I'm already with real women, women that are kind and loving. I suppose though you wouldn't know anything about that since you have zero compassion" responded Jay in a dismissive tone, thinking that Minerva's personality was terrible and ensured that he wasn't attracted to her at all.
"You say that now but I know you will come around in due time" responded Minerva in a flirty tone, not at all discouraged by Jay's cold tone and treatment of her.
"If you two are done with whatever this is, we should get going. The games will be starting soon" stated Rouge in a tired tone since he didn't want to continue watching Jay and Minerva's conversation.
"Remember everyone, Sabertooth shows no mercy" responded Minerva with a sinister smile that made Jay worry for Fairy Tail. Once again Jay hoped that Minerva wouldn't participate, he didn't want anyone from Fairy Tail to face her cruelty. Shortly after Minerva aid these words the Sabertooth team made their way towards the area they were supposed to watch the games from. After a short wait the announcer shouted over the speaker system.
"Welcome everyone to the fourth day of the grand magic games. Yesterday was filled with one heart stopping moment after another and today promises to be even better" shouted the announcer over the speaker system, the crowd cheering in excitement.
"I'm sure you are all excited for the day's events to start, so without further delay allow me to announce the name of the day's event" shouted the announcer, pausing for dramatic effect before he continued to speak.
"The name of the event is Naval Battle" shouted the announcer. Hearing the name of the event made Jay smile from ear to ear.
"Awesome! This couldn't have gone any better" stated Jay with an excited smile, thinking that this event would be a cakewalk for him. Jay was about to make his way into the middle of the arena before he was stopped by Minerva.
"Where do you think you are going Jay" asked Minerva in an amused tone.
"What do you mean? I'm going to participate in the event of course" responded Jay in a confused tone.
"That won't be necessary. I will be participating in the event instead" responded Minerva with a smile. Jay turned his full attention towards Minerva, he didn't understand why she was insisting on participating.
"Why should it be you instead of me? The name of the event is Naval Battle which means it likely involves water in some way. Any event that involves water is a slam dunk win for me" responded Jay in a confused tone, thinking that as the Water Dragon Slayer he was the clear choice for Sabertooth. Glancing towards the middle of the arena to see who was participating from the other guilds, Jay was even more sure he should be the one participating.
"On top of all that take a look at who is participating from Fairy Tail" stated Jay, gesturing to the participants in the middle of the arena.
"Lucy is participating, and she has the ability to summon Aquarius, a water spirit. Even worse than that, Juvia is participating and she's an extremely talented water wizard. With those two participating I am the only clear choice since I am the only one that can outperform them in the water" stated Jay, not understanding why Minerva wasn't agreeing with his logic.
"When he puts it like that, why wouldn't Jay be the one representing the guild" asked Lector in a confused tone, knowing that Jay was near inviable when he was underwater.
"Allow me to answer your question with another question" responded Minerva as she took a step closer to Jay.
"During your battle against your sister during the first day of the games, why didn't you use dragon force? If you used dragon force you could have finished the battle in less than ten seconds, but you held back. Why did you hold back" asked Minerva with an amused smile.
"I didn't use dragon force because it wasn't necessary. Using dragon force against Lucy would have been overkill" responded Jay, also thinking that it would have crushed Lucy if he defeated her so quickly. Jay could have easily beat Lucy if he used his full power, but he didn't want to hurt her or her pride by annihilating her.
"That is exactly why I must participate instead of you" responded Minerva as she walked past Jay.
"You have a soft spot for Lucy and the rest of Fairy Tail, we can't risk losing because you refuse to use your full power" stated Minerva as she continued to walk away from the team.
"I might hold back my power, but I still get the job done. What's the point of using more power than necessary" asked Jay, getting a bad feeling about Minerva participating in the games. Minerva turned back to face Jay; a sinister smile spread across her face.
"It's not enough to win, Sabertooth must destroy anyone that dares to challenge us" responded Minerva with a sinister smile. Jay glanced around the rest of the team, seeing that he wasn't going to have any support in this argument. As Jay watched Minerva walk into the middle of the arena, he hoped that Juvia or Lucy could win since he didn't want to see Minerva unleash their cruelty on them. Shortly after all the participants were chosen for the event, the rules of Naval Battle were explained in detail.
"Man I would have been a lock for this event" stated Jay in a frustrated tone after the rules were explained. Soon the giant sphere of water materialized, and all the participants dived inside. An entire event underwater where the way to win was to be the last one remaining inside, Jay would have been perfect for this event.
"Minerva really screwed up; I could have won easily. I'm ten times faster when I'm underwater and I have nearly unlimited magical power" responded Jay thinking that with Juvia and Lucy participating he could easily nullify their best attacks and absorb their magical power to use against them.
"Calm down. You may have been the better choice, but Minerva can still easily defeat the other wizards" responded Rouge, knowing that Minerva's power far surpassed all the other participants. Jay agreed with Rouge, Minerva's power was no joke. While Minerva had more magical power, Jay hoped that the water advantage would save Lucy and Juvia from the worst of Minerva's wrath.
"Now that all the participants have entered the water sphere, the event can start" shouted the announcer in an excited tone while the crowd cheered loudly.
"This event sure is fun to watch, don't you think" asked Orga with a smile as he ogled all of the sexy women dressed in swimsuits. While Jay was worried for Lucy and Juvia, he couldn't help by agree with Orga. Jay's eyes hungrily roamed across Lucy's body before he turned his attention towards Juvia.
"Damn Juvia usually looks amazing, but she looks unreal in the water" stated Jay, thinking that Juvia looked amazing while she was surrounded in her element. After taking another moment to admire Juvia's sexy body, Jay shook his head in order to clear away his lustful thoughts. Jay couldn't focus on how good Lucy and Juvia looked, he had to remember that they were in danger.
"Please be careful you two" stated Jay to himself under his breath, hoping that Minerva wouldn't be unnecessarily cruel to Lucy or Juvia. Shortly after Jay said these words to himself, the event started.
The first person to be knocked out of the water sphere was the participant from Quatro Cerberus, although Jay figured the guild was now called Quatro Puppy thanks to Elfman. Jay almost felt bad for the Quatro Puppy participant since he was targeted because he was the only male in the event. After the first knock out of the event, the two wizards with the largest advantage started to battle against each other. Lucy and Juvia knew that they were each other's biggest competition in the naval battle. Lucy summoned Aquarius while Juvia used her water magic to perform a devastating attack.
"Damn what an attack" stated Jay, impressed with Juvia's water magic. The massive magical attack managed to knock out three participants, Lucy and Minerva were the only ones that were able to escape Juvia's impressive attack. Juvia called her attack Darling Gray Love, and when Jay glanced over at Gray it was obvious the ice wizard didn't like Juvia's display of affection.
"Man that guy is an idiot" stated Jay, thinking that he would be flattered if such a strong and amazing woman named an attack after him. Jay wasn't the only one that spared a glance at Gray, Juvia turned her attention away from the fight as well. Jay noticed Juvia not paying attention and he knew Minerva well enough that she would take advantage of the opening Juvia just gave her. With a simple wave of her magic, Minerva transported Juvia out of the water sphere.
"Damn I really thought Juvia was going to win" stated Jay, somewhat surprised that Juvia lost while underwater. Now the only ones left in the event was Lucy and Minerva. Lucy being left alone with Minerva made Jay worry; he hoped that Lucy would be okay.
"Minerva sure is mischievous, with her magic she could have sent all of them outside the ring in an instant" stated Sting with an amused smile.
"Minerva's got this win in the bag" responded Lector, agreeing with his friend. Jay had to reluctantly agree with Sting and Lector, Minerva could have already easily won but choose not too and that worried Jay.
"Why isn't Lucy using her spirits, is she trying to perverse her magical power" asked Jay to himself, thinking that this was a mistake. Lucy didn't know the danger she was in; she couldn't be holding herself back. Why wasn't Lucy using Aquarius more?
"The five-minute rule is now in effect! If either exits the ring in the next five minutes, they'll be ranked last" shouted the announcer as the timer started to count down. This was it Jay thought, if Minerva intended to be cruel she could wrap up this fight quickly and force Lucy to finish with zero points. Jay hoped that Lucy could survive for at least five minutes, he knew it would crush her if she scored zero points for Fairy Tail once again.
"I could instantly send you outside the ring with my magic, but where is the entertainment in that? Try to endure this, Fairy Tail" stated Minerva with a cruel smile as she channeled her magical power. Minerva's words made Jay's worry for Lucy grow.
"No, she wouldn't" stated Jay to himself, thinking that even Minerva wasn't cruel enough to do what he was fearing. Soon Lucy was assaulted by a barrage of Minerva's magical attacks, Jay prayed that Lucy could hold out.
"This is bad, I need to use celestial spirits after all" stated Lucy after taking damage from Minerva's magical attacks. These words made Jay gain hope that Lucy could still win. If Lucy used her spirits, namely Aquarius then she might be able to defeat Minerva. Jay and Lucy realized the problem at the same time.
"Fuck" stated Jay, seeing that Lucy's keys were no longer on her person.
"Damn, Minerva must have swiped Lucy's keys with her magic" stated Jay, worried since Lucy had very little way of fighting back now.
Lucy being a celestial wizard depended heavily on her spirits, she wasn't a physical fighter by herself. To make matters worse being underwater would only slow Lucy down while Minerva's magic gave her a huge advantage. Another magical attack from Minerva sent Lucy flying towards the edge of the water sphere but Lucy was able to stop herself just short of falling out. Just after Lucy saved herself from falling out, Minerva unleased another powerful magical attack onto Lucy. While Lucy was injured from the multiple attacks, she still had a determined look on her face.
"Whatever attacks you use, I will endure them" stated Lucy in a pained tone since Minerva continued to attack her. Jay realized what Lucy was doing. Lucy had no hope of winning now that she was without her keys, and she knew it.
"Lucy is enduring Minerva's attacks until the time runs out" stated Jay, worried for Lucy but also impressed with her dedication to Fairy Tail. The smart thing to do would be to give up and save herself pain but Lucy was determined to at least finish in second for her guild. There was now only a minute left on the clock.
"I suppose it's time to let you outside the ring" stated Minerva in an amused tone. Lucy was covered in injuries and yet she didn't show any signs of wavering.
"If I lose now I won't be fit to face the others who've struggled to get us this far" stated Lucy in a determined tone despite the injuries covering her body. Thinking back to the previous days of the games, Jay had to agree that Fairy Tail certainly struggled for every point that got. Elfman turned himself into a punching back against the drunk from Quatro Puppy, Wendy fought her heart out against the god slayer from Lamia Scale and Erza displayed the near impossible against the one hundred monsters.
"I can't betray their feelings so" stated Lucy, clutching her injured arm as she looked at Minerva.
"I absolutely won't give up" shouted Lucy, displaying surprising strength despite how injured she was. While the rest of Fairy Tail seemed touched by Lucy's determination and willingness to fight for them, Jay was filled with fear. Jay would have been impressed with Lucy's determination to not give up if he hadn't noticed Minerva's evil glare.
"The time has run out! Now it's just a fight for the top" shouted the announcer after the clock ran out. While Fairy Tail celebrated since Lucy was guaranteed at least second place, Jay shouted at the top of his lungs.
"LUCY YOU HAVE TO FORIET BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE" yelled Jay, his voice carrying out across the arena.
"Give up? What is Jay talking about" asked Cana in a confused tone. Standing next to Cana was Mira, she was worried about the look that Jay had on his face. Mira recalled the recent warning Jay told her about Minerva, how she was cruel and enjoyed inflicting pain. Lucy only had a moment to process Jay's words before Minerva hit her with a powerful magical attack.
"Know your place Fairy Tail" stated Minerva in an angry tone as she fired one magical attack after another.
"What do you take us for?! We are Sabertooth, the mightiest guild beneath the heavens" stated Minerva, not showing an ounce of mercy as she continued to assault Lucy with powerful magical attacks. Lucy couldn't do anything to defend herself, she could only sit there and be hit with each magical attack that Minerva fired at her. With one last magical attack Lucy was sent flying towards the edge of the water sphere, this time she clearly didn't have the strength to stop herself from falling out.
"Damn she was too much for Lucy" stated Cana with a frown, hoping that Lucy wouldn't take the loss too hard.
"MINERVA DON'T DO IT" yelled Jay, knowing what Minerva's intentions were from her evil glare. Jay had seen that look from Minerva before when he went on some jobs with her. Every time Minerva had that evil glare, she became ruthless. Just before Lucy fell out of the water sphere Minerva used her magic to save Lucy and teleport her close. Minerva then delivered a powerful kick to Lucy's back, making Lucy scream out in pain.
"Is she trying to torture her" asked Cana in disbelief that someone could be this openly cruel while an entire arena full of people were watching.
"This is what Jay warned about" stated Minerva in a guilty tone, thinking that maybe she should have passed along Jay's warning to the rest of the guild. Over and over again Minerva struck Lucy, showing no mercy as she unnecessarily beat on an already defeated opponent.
"As this is an underwater match, there are no knock-downs! All she can do is take this pummeling" shouted the announcer in a worried tone as he along with everyone else watched as Lucy was beat over and over again without mercy.
"STOP IT" yelled Natsu, seething with rage as Lucy's beating continued. Jay glanced over at Lucy's team and wasn't surprised with their expressions. Natsu, Gray and Erza were giving death glares to Sabertooth, Jay could feel their rage from where he was standing. Jay shared their rage; he was shaking with anger as Minerva continued her assault.
"Man look at those losers, they sure are pissed" stated Sting in a mocking tone, amused as Minerva continued to pummel Lucy.
"FUCK THIS! I'LL STOP THIS MYSELF" shouted Jay, seething with rage as he prepared to jump into the middle of the arena. Jay didn't care about the consequences; he wasn't going to sit and watch as his sister was beat to death. Just as Jay was about to jump into the middle of the arena a magical barrier projected over the Sabertooth side.
"What is this" asked Jay in an angry tone as he punched the barrier to find that he couldn't enter the arena.
"A reminder to all those watching but interference is not allowed during any events or matches" stated the announcer in a nervous tone, seeing that Jay was trying to break into the arena.
"SCREW THAT! STOP THIS MATCH OR ELSE I'M BUSTING THROUGH" yelled Jay not caring if he got himself ejected from the games. Just as Jay was about to enter dragon force to smash through the magical barrier and save Lucy, a bell sounded across the arena.
"The referee has stopped the fight, the event is over" shouted the announcer, relieved that the brutal beating was called off. Minerva held onto Lucy's face, a pleased smile on her face as Lucy hung limply and beaten.
"Sabertooth takes first place with an overwhelming display of brutal force" stated the announcer before he noticed something alarming about Lucy.
"It doesn't look like Lucy is moving, can we please get the paramedics on the field" shouted the announcer in a worried tone.
"LUCY" shouted Jay along with the rest of Fairy Tail before he jumped into the middle of the arena. Minerva carelessly let Lucy fall, not caring about the dangerous height. Jay was relieved when Natsu and Gray got to Lucy in time to catch her fall and Jay wasn't far behind them.
"Come on Lucy please say something" stated Gray in a worried tone as he held onto Lucy.
"Lucy! Please be alright" stated Jay, seething with rage as he looked at how badly hurt Lucy was.
"What in the hell was your problem?! You went way too far" shouted Natsu, glaring at Minerva who still had an amused expression spread across her face.
"What a scornful expression" stated Minerva in a mocking tone as she touched down onto the ground in front of Erza. While Jay would have gladly confronted Minerva about what she did, Jay's priority was making sure Lucy was okay. Jay turned his attention towards Wendy and Sherria who were using her healing magic to help Lucy.
"Wendy and Sherria, pour my magical power into your healing spell" stated Jay as he kneeled beside Wendy.
"Lucy is my sister so that means my magical power is compatible with hers. Using my magical power as a focus should empower your spell right" asked Jay to Wendy, hoping he understood the basics of healing magic correctly.
"Yah that's right" responded Wendy.
"Then use all the magical power you need, I've got plenty" responded Jay, linking his magical power to Wendy's and allowing her to draw from his strength instead of her own. Jay felt a drop in his strength as Wendy and Sherria worked to heal Lucy, but Jay didn't care about that. The only thing that Jay cared about right now was that Lucy got better.
"Jay if you need a boost in magical power let me know" stated Juvia in a worried tone, standing next to Jay. Jay spared a grateful glance at Juvia; she could easily replenish his magical power with a quick water attack directed at him.
"Thanks Juvia. I'm good for now but I'll let you know if that changes" responded Jay, thinking he had plenty of magical power, but it was good to know he had a way to get more if needed.
As Jay continued to allow Wendy and Sherria to access his magical power in order to heal Lucy, it seemed like an all-out brawl was going to break out between Fairy Tail team A and Sabertooth. The brawl only didn't occur thanks to Erza's steady hand, but Jay could tell that Erza wanted nothing more than to make Sabertooth pay, and Jay felt the same way. After a short while Lucy was deemed well enough to be transported to the infirmary. As Lucy was carried away to the infirmary the rest of Fairy rushed to follower her, the only one remaining behind was Natsu.
"Are you coming Jay" asked Natsu, turning his attention towards Jay.
"I'll be right there; I have to talk with my guild first" responded Jay in a cold tone. Natsu nodded his head in understanding before he rushed to follow the rest of his guild. Jay turned his attention towards his guild, walking over to Minerva.
"Do you want to tell me what the fuck that was all about" asked Jay in an angry tone. Despite that fact Jay was seething with rage, Minerva still had an amused expression on her face.
"I was just showing your sister what happens when the might of Sabertooth is challenged" responded Minerva, showing that this was all some sort of sick game to her. Jay turned his attention towards the rest of the Sabertooth team.
"Are all of you okay with what just happened? Wanting to win is one thing but are you really all okay with this sort of brutality" asked Jay, hoping that this was the line that would make more in Sabertooth realize that things were seriously wrong with their guild.
"It's not our fault your sister is a weakling" responded Orga, showing he had no problem with what just happened.
"Lucy should have never challenged Minerva, plain and simple" responded Sting with a smile.
"This is what happens when the weak challenge the mighty" stated Rouge, also showing zero remorse for the cruelty Minerva just displayed. This was Jay's breaking point, he thought he could look past and change Sabretooth's faults. Jay thought the majority of the problems with Sabretooth's faults was because of the guild master's influence but this event proved otherwise. Jay turned around and started to walk away from Sabertooth.
"Where do you think you are going" asked Minerva in an amused tone as Jay walked away. Jay stopped in his tracks before he responded.
"If none of you see how wrong Minerva's actions are then there is no saving or changing Sabertooth" responded Jay as he started to walk away again, this time channeling his magical power.
"I won't be a part of a guild that revels in cruelty, I quit" stated Jay, using his channeled magical power to willingly erase his guild mark. Soon after Jay eased his guild mark which singled his leaving Sabertooth, Jay rushed into the infirmary that was packed full with worried members of Fairy Tail.
"Lucy! Are you alright" shouted Jay as he rushed towards Lucy's bedside. Lucy was now conscious, she looked weak but hopefully she would be okay.
"Jay, I'm fine. Might be a bit hurt but I should be fine" responded Lucy in a weak tone, sadness clear on her face since her defeat was still fresh.
"Look man I know you are Lucy's brother but maybe this isn't the best time to have Sabertooth hanging around" stated Laxus. Jay didn't even look away from Lucy as he responded.
"Do you see a Sabertooth guild mark on me" asked Jay, Lucy letting out a surprised sound at his words.
"Jay you quit Sabertooth" asked Lucy in a weak tone.
"Yah I did. I hoped I could change Sabertooth but not a single person in the guild felt bad about what happened to you" responded Jay before he turned his attention towards the short old man in the room.
"You're Markov right? The guild master of Fairy Tail" asked Jay with a determined look.
"Yes I am, why do you ask" asked Markov in a steady tone, barely holding in his rage at having one of his precious children hurt in front of him.
"I have two favors I want to ask of you" responded Jay, feeling everyone's attention on him as he spoke to Markov.
"What are the favors" asked Markov.
"The first favor I ask of you is to allow me to join Fairy Tail" responded Jay, clenching his fist in anger. The room was silent as everyone waited for Markov's answer.
"I see no problem with that. What of the second favor" asked Markov, already having a good idea what Jay wanted.
"I want you to put me on the reformed Fairy Tail team. I want to personally take Sabertooth down" responded Jay in a cold tone. Sabertooth had gone too far, Jay no longer cared about Yukino rejoining the guild. It was clear Sabertooth wouldn't change, things wouldn't be better even if Yukino was allowed to rejoin. The only path Jay could see moving forward is to join Fairy Tail, he could invite Yukino to join Fairy Tail once he tracked her down. No matter what, Jay was going to make Sabertooth pay.
