The sword from a different angle by kewes
Emiya Shirou had a dream. He found himself on a tall building in an unknown location. It was night outside.
A second later, a man caught his attention, it was his servant Saber, only instead of the usual servant clothes, he was wearing a dark cloak with a hood, which he was pulling over his head at that moment.
After that, he took a radio out of his pocket and began to speak: "White, I am here. I do not see the target." A few seconds later, a second voice was heard: "Understood, blue. Be careful, this monster has inhuman speed, and if anything happens, report to me immediately, especially if you are going to engage in combat." After that, Saber pressed the button on the radio and replied: "Yes, I understand." And for the next minute, there was silence.
Suddenly, Saber spoke into the radio again, "The target is here. The second alley on the left side of the main street. I am pursuing." Saber then began to carefully descend the stairs between the buildings and exit into the alley.
Shirou's consciousness rushed after him and brought him to the alley, where Saber held a short white blade in his hands, which he threw at the monster that Shirou did not immediately notice.
It was a man, but his entire face was covered in bulging veins, and his face itself was completely pale. He was dressed in some rags. He was standing over some kind of body.
The person underneath him was clearly dead. Just as the blade was about to pierce the man/monster, at the last moment he parried the blow with a pale hand, the nails of which were elongated and looked very sharp. As strange as it was.
When the monster looked at the saber, anger was reflected on its face, and it immediately rushed at the saber in a furious attack.
The monster was very fast. For Shirou, it happened in an instant, but the saber dodged it quite easily. When the saber was behind the monster, a medium-sized black blade appeared in its hands. When the saber hit the monster, slashing its back, the monster tried to attack itself, but the saber had already bounced back, during which several small knives appeared in its hand, which it immediately threw at the monster.
They hit its torso and arms. But the monster did not pay attention to this and continued to try to attack the saber. But it deftly dodged each attack. This continued for several seconds before the monster suddenly grabbed its chest and fell dead. A saber with the same blade in its hands appeared next to it, after which it dealt the monster several piercing blows.
After that, he took out his radio and said, "White, I have eliminated the target. I am going to destroy the body and return." A second later, a second voice was heard: "Understood, Blue, I am returning too. Will we meet at the agreed upon location?" He only replied, "Uh-huh."
After that, the dream ended.
Emiya Shirou opened his eyes, not understanding what kind of dream it was. Or why he had it. But he immediately threw it away. He had to get ready for school.
(Somewhere unknown)
We see a young girl who had just woken up in her chair, she was sorting through some papers and apparently fell asleep while filling them out. Although her "brother" was supposed to be filling them out, he was currently up to his ears in work. But she was more interested in what kind of dream it was and why she felt so tired, as if she had been casting a spell all day. But now she would have to throw it away because she still had things to do.
(Emiya's House)
After changing his clothes and leaving the room, he immediately knocked on the door of the room across from his. The door opened literally a second later, and there stood Saber, who immediately said, "Hello Shirou, do you need something?" Shirou simply replied, "Hello, I just wanted to ask how you slept." Saber hesitated for a second, then said, "I slept well, Shirou. Thank you for giving me a futon yesterday even though it wasn't necessary."
Yesterday, when they returned from the battle with the berserker. Shirou, realizing that his servant had nowhere to stay, offered to lay out a futon for him. At first, he refused and explained that servants did not need to sleep. But Shirou was persistent, since Saber was his partner and friend. After a minute, Saber agreed, but said that his room should be opposite or close to Shirou's room so that if an enemy servant attacked, he could protect him. Shirou wanted to object, saying that he did not need protection, but he was too tired and overwhelmed by all the information he had received, so he simply agreed.
Shirou spoke again, "If anything, I will be in the kitchen. If you need anything, contact me," and went to his workplace.
When Shirou was about to go to school, Saber said that she would go with him. At first, Shirou wanted to object, looking at Saber's clothes, but then he remembered that Saber could dematerialize, and told him to stay like that until they returned home. Saber nodded and dematerialized.
So the whole day passed like a normal day, as if nothing had happened the night before. He took the food in the box and brought it to Fuji. And when school was over, he went home with her and Sakura for dinner. When dinner was over and Taiga went to walk Sakura home,
Saber materialized and the first thing he said was, "Shirou, I didn't know you were such a ladies' man and picked up two girls at once." Shirou immediately said with a calm face that it was not so, "Saber, you got it all wrong. Taiga is my guardian, and Sakura just comes here to visit since we are acquainted, mainly to help me cook." To this, Saber sarcastically replied
"Of course, Shirou, I understand everything."
After Shirou finished washing the dishes, he went to his workshop, if you could call it that.
When Shirou broke another item due to improper reinforcement, he heard a voice from outside, "Shirou, are you there?" He immediately answered where he was, and literally a moment later, Saber materialized next to him, carefully examining the room and silently asking what he was doing here.
To which Shirou immediately decided to answer, "Ah, Saber, I was just practicing my magic here." Saber looked surprised, and then asked, "Is this your magic workshop?" To which Shirou replied, "Well, this is not my workshop, but a place where I practice. Saber, are you familiar with the term 'mage's workshop'?" A second later, Saber replied, "Shirou, I wasn't always a hero in life, I was a magus first and foremost, so it goes without saying that I know that." Shirou was surprised by these words because from what Saber said, first of all, most of the heroes of the past are people who barely know magecraft except for those who were summoned into the Caster class, although there are some among them who have never even heard of magecraft. Shirou decided in his head that this would be a great chance to learn from someone because his old man had long since died and all he could do was practice, so he immediately asked, "Saber, can you teach me something? I just don't know much. My master died a few years ago, and since then, all I've done is practice what I was taught." When Shirou said this, Saber's expression showed understanding and then she said, "Shirou, before I can teach you anything, I need to know that you already know and practice." Shirou immediately replied, "Well, I can use Structural Analysis and Projection, as well as Reinforcement, but I can only do it 4 times out of 10." After these words, Saber immediately said, "I see. Show me." Shirou, not understanding what the servant wanted from him, asked, "What?"
"Show me your reinforcement magic, maybe I'll understand why you have so many failures in fairly simple magic." Shirou was a little offended by these words, after all, he had trained reinforcement magic his entire life, and someone was talking about it so calmly. But he decided to listen and picked up the first item in the row, it was a nail. And the result was repeated, as in many previous cases, the nail simply split into two parts.

When Shirou said this, Saber's expression showed understanding and then she said, "Shirou, before I can teach you anything, I need to know that you already know and practice." Shirou immediately replied, "Well, I can use Structural Analysis and Projection, as well as strengthening, but I can only do it 4 times out of 10." After these words, Saber immediately said, "I see. Show me." Shirou, not understanding what the servant wanted from him, asked, "What?"
"Show me your strengthening magic, maybe I'll understand why you have so many failures in fairly simple magic." Shirou was a little offended by these words, after all, he had trained strengthening magic his entire life, and someone was talking about it so calmly. But he decided to listen and picked up the first item in the row, it was a nail. And the result was repeated, as in many previous cases, the nail simply split into two parts.
He then heard Saber chuckle, turning around, he looked at him with a thoughtful expression, then said, "Shirou, tell me how you do the strengthening, the words you said are true, but for some reason you can't do it, I already have a theory as to why, but first I want to hear how you do it." Shirou then began to explain.
"Well, first I create a magic circuit. Then I use...", but he was immediately interrupted by his servant, whose voice was completely unusual for his servant. "Shirou, you create magic circuits?" Shirou, not understanding the meaning, replied, "Well, yes, but don't all magi do that, Saber?" After saying this, Saber sighed heavily, then said, "No, Shirou, magi don't create magic circuits, they use the ones they were born with. Tell us, how long have you been using this method?" Shirou, shocked by these words, replied, "5 years", he saw Saber's eye twitch, and then whispered something. Shirou only understood (I didn't think it was that long), and then Saber said, "Shiro, what you're doing is absolutely wrong, you're very lucky that you haven't become a cripple in these 5 years, what you're doing can be called cannibalism towards yourself. Turning your nerves into disposable magic circuits is a surefire way to commit suicide." To which a shocked and slightly saddened Shirou replied,
"But I, ... I only know this way."
"I understand. Turn your back to me and lift your shirt, and when I tell you to, use your mental trigger. We will activate your magic circuits," Saber ordered, and said it in a voice that made Shirou think it would be best to obey. When Saber placed her hand on his back and said, "It's going to hurt a little, you'll have to endure it. The key is to not move and constantly imagine your mental trigger." Shirou only nodded at that, and then heard, "𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘖𝘯 ." Afterthose words, Emiya's entire body felt pain, causing him to immediately clench his fists, and even when Saber let go, Shirou still felt the pain and his entire body was shaking in convulsions.
A few seconds later, Saber took his hand, placed it on his shoulder, and led him into the house, saying, "It's okay, after all, we did this at a later age. You'll feel pain and numbness for a while, but it should be gone by tomorrow morning, so it's best for you to sleep for now."
After those words, the convulsions didn't subside at all, and he still felt very heavy.
When they got to his room and Saber laid him down on the futon, his eyes started to close and his last thought was, "What will happen tomorrow?"
Information about servants(Saber):We didn't learn anything new, that's why there are no statistics.
