Saturday morning after breakfast Skye and Loki met on the training ground. Bruce cleared her the other day to work out and train, so she and Loki agreed that they would meet on Saturday morning.

Skye started to train with him the same way that the others had trained with her.

"I'm surprised you never trained with my variant. You two were close at one point, weren't you?" Skye asked as the two were practicing hand-to-hand combat.

"Yeah, we were. But we didn't train together. She didn't seem interested in training," Loki said.

"So you wanted to train with her, but she didn't," Skye said.

"Yes," Loki said. "I'm guessing she didn't want to help me get stronger,"

Skye shook her head. "Well, if we are going to have to fight the bad guys, I'd rather you be prepared in case you have to save my ass."

Loki snorted a laugh.

"Are you saying you'd not want to be prepared to defend yourself and the others who will likely be fighting with you?" Skye asked.

"I suppose," Loki said.

Skye shook her head and aimed one of her punches at his shoulder and hit it hard.

Loki grunted but returned a punch that Skye managed to dodge by ducking.

Skye hit him again, this time in the stomach, causing him to grunt again.

Loki kicked her feet out from under her, causing her to land on her back.

Skye whimpered before kicking out, hitting him in the right knee and causing him to be distracted long enough for her to jump up and wrap an arm around his neck from behind and hold him back against her.

"Never let your guard down," Skye said before letting him go.

Loki turned back to face her. "Noted."

The two continued, Skye took him down over and over again until they ended up grappling on the ground with Loki pinning Skye.

Skye chuckled "Okay. You win this round."

Loki smirked and got up and held a hand down to her.

Skye took his hand, and he helped her up. When she was up, the two were very close. Loki for a moment completely lost his ability to think clearly and kissed Skye.

Skye's eyes went wide when Loki's lips connected with hers, and she pushed him away. "What the hell are you doing?"

Loki was shocked out of his thoughts. "Skye. I," he said not sure how to explain himself.

Skye shook her head and left the training ground. She went inside and to her room, trying to keep her tears from flowing before she got behind her bedroom door.

When Skye passed by the living room, where Tony was watching cartoons with Morgan, he noticed the girl looked upset. A few minutes later Loki passed through the living room, too.

"Were you and Skye just training?" Tony asked.

"Uh. Yeah," Loki said.

"Why did she come through here looking like she was going to cry?" Tony asked.

"Um. I don't know," Loki said. He didn't know what Tony would do if he knew.

"She didn't get hurt?" Tony asked

"No," Loki said.

"Okay," Tony said.

Loki went to his room

Both teens took showers, and Skye curled on her bed afterward. Shortly after, there was a knock on her door.

"Who is it?" Skye asked.

"It's Tony," Tony said.

"Come in," Skye said.

Tony went in and saw Skye on her bed. Her back was to the door. "Anything happening during training I should know about?"

Skye shook her head.

"You sure?" Tony asked.

"Yeah," Skye said.

"Okay," Tony said. "I know I'm not your dad, or Bucky, or one of the people you tend to come to if there is a problem. But with your dad being away, if something happened that you would tell him about, I need you to tell me."

"We trained. I knocked him on his ass several times. He knocked me on my ass a couple of times. I don't know what about that you needed to be told, but that's all that happened," Skye said, her voice laced with snark.

"Sit up and look at me," he said sternly.

Skye whimpered, sat up quickly, and turned to face him. It wasn't often her uncle got stern with her.

"If you do not want to tell me what happened that is fine. But you will not speak to me like that," he said. "Am I understood?"

Skye nodded. "Sorry."

"Good. You didn't get hurt?" Tony asked. His voice softened.

"No," Skye said.

"Okay," Tony said. "If you change your mind and want to talk, you can come find me."

Skye nodded.

Tony left the room, and Skye curled back up on the bed and hugged her stuffed animal tight.

After dinner that night there was a knock on Skye's door again.

"Yeah?" Skye said.

Loki went in and saw her sitting in the window seat. "I think we need to talk."

Skye shook her head. "What do you think you can say to change what you did?"

"Nothing. I can not change what I did. But I am sorry," Loki said.

"Whatever, Loki. I told you in the very beginning I was not interested in you and it wasn't going to change. And it hasn't. Also, I have a boyfriend, and you are well aware of that," Skye said.

"I know you have been on a few dates. I did not know you two were calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. But, I was not thinking about that. When we were standing close. I- I smelt something. You must use some sort of perfume that your variant also uses. I just. . . forgot you weren't. . . her," Loki admitted.

"That's bullshit. I don't use perfume. Ever," Skye said.

"Well something you use has a smell," Loki said.

Skye shook her head. "I don't believe you."

Loki let out a breath. "I suppose I can not blame you for that. But it is the truth. It smells like peaches."

Skye opened her mouth to say something, but quickly closed it. Her shampoo had a peach smell to it. She took a breath. "Even if that is true, that is not an excuse to kiss me when you know that I am not interested."

"You are correct. It is not an excuse. I was trying to explain what I was thinking. And say that I am sorry. It was wrong, and it will not happen again," Loki said as he moved to sit in the desk chair in her room.

Skye nodded. "It better not. Or I will tell my dad and Thor."

Loki nodded. "You will not tell them about this time?"

"No," Skye said. "I know it was a moment. Regardless of the reasons, I am going to give you a chance to make sure it doesn't happen again."

"Thank you," Loki said.

"I'm not doing this for you. I am doing this for me. I don't want the drama that I know will come from it," Skye said.

Loki nodded. "Does that mean you also do not plan to tell your boyfriend?"

"If I tell him he will try and punch you, and he doesn't have abilities. I know he would be the one who ended up hurt," Skye said.

"If it comes out somehow and he wants to punch me, I will let him," Loki said.

Skye tilted her head.

"I will heal," Loki said. "And if someone kissed my girlfriend, I would want to kill him."

Skye smirked and nodded. "Yeah, especially since he is not the biggest fan of yours. Why were you narrowing your eyes at him that day he came over after I had been stabbed?"

Loki took a breath.

"Come on, you owe me after today," Skye said.

"Let's just say this isn't the only universe where you two are friends," Loki said.

"What the fuck? You made it seem like you had no idea who he was," Skye said.

"Yeah, well, I didn't trust you," Loki said.

Skye took a breath. "And in your universe how close were Skye and Tucker?"

"Very," Loki said. "I think he had some experimentation done on him or something. He has abilities, too."

Skye took a breath, "what kind of abilities?"

"Super strength and agility, my best guess is something similar to the super serum stuff," Loki said.

Skye nodded slowly. "And you're sure he didn't have those genetically?"

"I don't know for sure, no. But would you not know if he did in this universe?" Loki asked.

"I think I would. . . " Skye said.

"I am not telling you this to make you think he is not telling you something big," Loki said quickly. "But, yeah, I have my doubts about him and his intentions."

Skye nodded. "Well, It wouldn't be the first time he kept something major from me. But, thank you for telling me all this."

"If he hurts you, do I have permission to kick his ass?" Loki asked with a smirk.

Skye chuckled. "If he has been hiding abilities from me, go for it."

Loki chuckled.

"But, unless there is proof of that, do not be giving him any nasty looks or giving him a hard time, or we will be having problems again," Skye said.

"Deal," Loki said. "Does he know about what happened earlier this week?"

"Yeah, he does. He would have come over, but between working and studying for his exams he hasn't had time. And I wouldn't let him call out of work to come see me," Skye said.

"And he listened?" Loki asked with a smirk.

"Yes, because he didn't want to deal with pissing me off," Skye said with a smirk.

Loki chuckled and shook his head.

There was a knock on Skye's door.

"Yeah?" Skye said.

Thor came in. "So, Stark tells me that he believes something happened between the two of you during training."

"We trained," Skye said with a smile.

"Skyler, you would not lie to me, would you?" Thor asked.

"You know when I'm lying," Skye said.

"Usually, yes," Thor said before he looked at his brother.

"Nothing happened outside of training," Loki said.

"Okay, if I find out you two are lying, you will both be in trouble," Thor said.

"Nothing to lie about," Skye said.

"What she said. Do you think if anything had happened we would be hanging out right now?" Loki asked.

"I would not think so, but I do not know," Thor said.

"Thor, everything is fine between Loki and me, I promise," Skye said.

"Okay. Good. I am glad to hear and see it," Thor said. "I will let you two continue you to hang out," he said, leaving the room, leaving the door open as he went.

"Thor, can you please close the door?" Skye asked.

"No, I do not want you two alone in a room together with the door closed," Thor called out.

"Thor, I have a boyfriend," Skye said.

"I'm aware of this, yes," Thor said as he walked away from the room.

Skye rolled her eyes. Loki went and closed the door most of the way before sitting back down.

"Was your brother overprotective in your universe too?" Skye asked.

"Yes," Loki said. "But it was different because we were closer in age. He didn't parent me the way this Thor does."

"I think he just doesn't want to have to watch you turn out like this universe's Loki," Skye said.

"Yeah, I want to go visit this universe's Loki, but he won't let me," Loki said.

"He give a reason?" Skye asked.

"He doesn't know what he would do," Loki said.

Skye nodded.

"But, I think he is afraid this universe's Loki will tell me things Thor doesn't think I know," Loki said.

"Oh?" Skye asked

"He thinks I do not know that I am not his biological brother," Loki said.

Skye nodded slowly. "He mentioned it to me once, but I didn't know it was some sort of secret."

Loki nodded. "I found out while looking up information about this universe's Loki."

"Oh. And you're pissed about it?" Skye asked.

Loki shrugged. "I just wish I would have heard from someone, rather than finding out from some document."

"I get it," Skye said. "You could try talking to him about it. And it doesn't seem like he cares that you are not biologically his brother. He treats you the same, I think."

Loki shook his head. "He doesn't want me to know."

"But you do know," Skye said. "And I can tell it hurts you a little."

Loki took a breath.

"Sorry," Skye said.

"It's okay, I know you can not entirely control it," Loki said.

The two kept talking for a while before Loki decided to head off to bed.
