None of team RWBY and most of team JNPR knew what to do in that very moment. Just a bit earlier, their friend / acquaintance, Jaune Arc, was playing with a mysterious old console like device called a Nintendo switch. Now, his pocket monster creature or Pokemon called Cinderace was out here in the real world, currently poking the unconscious natural blonde in question.
The rabbit like creature looks concerned about Jaune, even though it should have been a bunch of data just a moment earlier.
Now he was a living and breathing creature!
"Okay, this has to be a dream. Because none of this should be possible."bluntly stated Weiss before she was pinched by Nora on her left arm.
"Ow! What was that for?"inquired Weiss before she grabbed Nora by her ear.
"Ow! I was just checking to see if this was a dream or not since in dreams, you shouldn't be able to feel pain. I remember reading that in a book. I didn't bother reading too much into it... But it had a lot of pretty pictures."said Nora nonchalantly before Weiss let her go, causing the thunder berserker to rub her ear.
"Ow..."she added.
"Can we get back to the living rabbit like creature that's currently poking Jaune."stated Blake, pointing to the human size rabbit like pokémon in question.
"Cinder?"said the rabbit like creature while it continued poking Jaune, seemingly trying to wake him up.
"Should we restrain it?"inquired Pyrrha, who really wanted to see if her partner was okay.
"I say we fight it!"said Yang while cracking her knuckles.
She was ready to use Ember Celica in that moment before being stopped by Ruby.
"Yang, dad, and I already told you not to attack everything you don't understand. He's still mad about that ice cream man you attacked."said Ruby, causing her older sister to pout.
"I told him I did not want sprinkles on my ice cream. I was very clear on that."said Yang in her defense.
Ruby rolled her eyes before approaching the human sized rabbit that was in the room. Cinderace looked at Ruby with a confused look while still poking Jaune.
"Hey, you don't need to be scared. We're not going to hurt you."said Ruby, trying to gain the trust of the striker Pokemon.
"Cinder!"said the striker Pokemon, who in that moment got in front of Jaune in a defensive position.
"Is that creature defending Jaune?"inquired Blake, not sure as to what she was seeing.
"I think that's the case. Somehow, it knows that Jaune is its trainer, so it's protecting him accordingly."said Ren, as that was his best guess to the current situation.
"Cinder!"said the human size rabbit Pokemon, who seemed to be very confused.
Ruby, in that moment, immediately started slowly approaching Cinderace, while making sure he put her hands up in a non fighting position to show she did not have any intention to hurt it or Jaune.
"It's okay,...Cinderace. We're not going to hurt you or your trainer. We're Jaune's friends, and we just want to see if he's okay."said Ruby as calmly and collectively as she could.
Cinderace looked at Ruby with a soft look upon hearing that, seemingly able to understand human speech.
"So it understands what we're saying."said Weiss, making sure to make a mental note of that information for later.
"It's okay, we're just going to check on Jaune and wake him up. Is that okay?"inquired Ruby, causing the striker pokémon to get out of the way so that she could check on Jaune.
Pyrrha immediately made her way over to check on him and pick him up from the floor by lifting him up to a 90-degree angle. Ruby then leans down and gently slaps Jaune on the face a few times, which seemingly woke him up.
"Uh..."said Jaune, who appears to be regaining consciousness.
"Jaune, what happened?"inquired Pyrrha, wondering what happened to the boy she cared so much about.
"I just had this weird dream where my Pokemon Cinderace and the others came to life. One moment, I was playing my Nintendo switch, and the next moment, a puff of smoke appeared from my Nintendo switch. The next moment, I knew my Cinderace was staring at my face with his equally confused expression."said Jaune before he noticed the striker Pokemon looking at him with a look of relief.
"Ohh... It wasn't a dream."said Jaune before he immediately passed out again.
"Not again."said Yang, unable to believe Ruby's best friend passes out from something like that.
But then again, she figures she will probably do the same if her video game pet comes to life all of a sudden out of nowhere.
Ruby just rolled her eyes before gently slapping Jaune in the face again, waking him up.
"Stop passing out and accept reality. Your Pokemon is here now."said Ruby just as the striker Pokemon approached.
Jaune was not sure what to do at that moment. One moment, he was playing his video game without a care in the world, and the next moment, his video game pet came to life in the real world. Jaune was a bit scared for a moment before noticing the gentle look on the striker Pokemon face, like he recognized him as his trainer all this time.
"Hey... Cinderace... Do you recognize me?"inquired the dork knight, wondering if the fire type starter Pokemon really did recognize them.
"Cinder!"said the striker Pokemon before giving his trainer a big hug.
"So he's a boy... That makes sense."said Nora, making sure to remember the call the rabbit like Pokemon a he from now on.
"Can we focus on more important things, Nora."said Ren, reminding his childhood friend that a video game character came to life in front of them.
"It's great to meet you, Cinderace."said Jaune before he suddenly felt off.
Cinderace smiled upon hearing that, happy to be acknowledged by his trainer. Jaune on the other hand had a strange feeling.
"Guys, is it just me, or does my body suddenly feel heavier."said Jaune, noticing that his body felt off.
"Now that you mention it, you do feel slightly heavier. It couldn't be your armor since I'm used to that. But it's not like your body suddenly gained muscle mass."said Pyrrha, which caused her partnered immediately get up and walk over to a nearby full-length mirror in the room.
It was not a moment that he immediately began pulling off his arm around his hoodie.
"Jaune, what are you doing?"inquired both Pyrrha and Ruby at the same time, blushing as they covered their eyes... With Pyrrha taking a peek every now and then.
"I'm telling you my body doesn't feel like it's my body anymore."said Jaune, just as he removed his hoodie and undershirt, and sure enough, he did not recognize his body.
His body was now completely changed from the body he had yesterday. Not only was he more muscular with six-pack abs, feathering, and had a very prominent v taper. But there was also the fact that his body was covered in all kinds of scars like wounds from knife attacks, gunshot wounds, recovered burnt flesh, and even acid wounds that had long since recovered Jaune inspected his arm muscles, and they have grown in size at least by a couple of inches. He also felt his calf muscles, his upper thighs, his lower thighs, and sure enough, they were now more filled... Basically, he implying that his lower body muscles had increased in size.
"Dudes, what happened to my body? I don't remember having all these battle scars! I've hardly been in a fight in my life! And I definitely have not been in a fight so often that I'm covered in scars from front to back."said Jaune, wondering what the heck was going on.
"Yeah... That's not the body you had yesterday."said Yang, causing the dork knight to do a double take.
"How on Remnant do you know that?"inquired Jaune, wanting to know how the blonde brawler knew that.
"It's definitely not because I can see the boys shower from our dorm room with binoculars. But dang, I think I like this new body of yours... It's definitely in better shape than your old one."said Yang, who liked what she was seeing.
"Yang, that is so inappropriate to the current situation right now."said Weiss, even though she was occasionally staring at Jaune every now and again.
"You're totally looking as well."teased Yang, causing the heiress to blow a raspberry at her.
"How are you guys so nonchalant about this? It's like that manga where that bad guy takes the main protagonist's body by attaching his head to it! I mean, I don't have obvious scar that happened, but it's pretty much similar to that!"said Jaune, who was trying his best not to hyperventilate.
"Jaune, don't worry. Even though you're more muscular, you're still Jaune."said Pyrrha, who looked like she was on the verge of drooling.
"Dang... I don't know whose body this is, but it's clear that they hit the gym like every day... And it's not a normal workout either. Your back muscles are so prominent, along with your feathering and six-pack abs... It's obvious that this body has been through a lot, but for it to persevere must be nothing short of a miracle."said Yang, who knew a lot about this thanks to her training from her father.
One doesn't become an expert fighter like Yang Xiao Long without knowing the science behind muscle anatomy.
"How do you know all of this?"inquired Blake, wondering how her partner knew that.
"You don't look this good just by genetics alone. One needs to know the proper way to work out muscles."said Yang with a bit of a snobby attitude, making her friends let out a groan upon hearing that.
"You know what I think, guys... I think I was given Batman's body!"said Jaune, getting the attention of his friends.
"Batman? What kind of name is Batman?"said Nora, wondering who came up with such a lazy superhero name.
"He's the protagonist and the main character I played as in the other game of the Nintendo switch. It was called Batman: Arkham Asylum. I had to battle this crazy clown super villain. Anyway, now that I think about it, this is totally his body. I stole Batman's body! Ahhh!"said Jaune, before take now deep breath calm down.
"Well, isn't that a good thing. I mean, this is a body built for combat."said Weiss, since the old Jaune body was not properly ready for the Vytal Festival.
"Huh... Now that you say it, I think you got a point. I bet you I have Batman's muscle memory as well, meaning I'll be able to fight as well as he does. And this is a guy who can take on 20 guys in a single room by himself! Maybe I should look at the bright side of things."said Jaune,trying to see the bright side of his current situation even though his body was no longer his body, so to speak...
"Hey, I just thought of something. Earlier, you said all six of your Pokemon came out of the Nintendo switch... But I only count Cinderace. Where are the other five?"pointed out Nora, noticing that there was only one Pokemon in the room.
"Hey, she's right... There's clearly only one when there are supposed to be six."said Ruby, remembering what her friend said earlier.
"Um... You don't think my other five Pokemon ventured out into Beacon Academy to explore."said Jaune, causing the room to grow quiet.
"Maybe they went to go look for someone to help you since you passed out."pointed out Nora, even though that was not helping at all.
Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang immediately headed out of the dorm room so they could look through Beacon Academy for Jaune's other five Pokemon.
Cinderace quickly followed after his trainer and soon caught up to him and the others.
"Which Pokemon came out with Cinderace?"inquired Ruby, wanting to know what information she can get from her male bestie.
"I don't know... It could be the ones I was using at that moment or some of them that I had in the box. All I know is that they're out here. We got to get them back before any damage is done to the school."said Jaune, knowing this very situation called for immediate action.
"And how are we going to do that?"inquired Blake, wondering how they were supposed to corral five creatures that could do things other animals couldn't.
It was in that very moment the striker pokémon handed Jaune a belt. On said that was six pokeballs.
"We'll use these! All we have to do is find the Pokemon that are around the school, and I'll recall them to their pokeballs."said Jaune before wrapping the belt around his waist.
"I would care how that works, but we don't have time for that!"said Weiss before she and the others began immediately looking for Jaune's five pokémon that came out of the game.
