Prompt: "Sorry, I spurt out random facts when I'm nervous."

"Did you know that a candle's flame will be hot and blue when it's in zero gravity?"

The four men sitting in the back part of Barney's plane all looked over at the loan female among them with looks of confusion on their faces. She just gave them a very expectant look in return. Eventually, Gunnar responded. "Yeah, it's because of diffusion. It feeds the flame with oxygen, which allows the carbon dioxide to move away from the point of combustion."

Jacoba smiled wide and nodded happily at him before she returned to the knitting that she'd brought with her. Gunnar, Yin, Toll, and Caesar all exchanged questioning looks before returning to what each of them had been doing before the random question.

One hour, and multiple random facts, later, the guys were even more confused than before as they prepared to leave the plane. Some of the facts had actually been useful, such as the fact that putting sugar on a cut will help it to heal faster or that x-rays cannot detect real diamonds. Yet the other facts were just random; like how a jiffy is a proper unit of time or that the Aurora Borealis has a sister phenomenon that is called the Aurora Australis. The guys had just about had it.

"Did you know…"

"Amazon."

Jacoba turned an innocent, wide-eyed look towards Caesar. "Yes, Caesar?"

"No offense, but what's with the random facts?"

"Oh, um, yeah, sorry. I sometimes will spurt out random facts when I'm nervous. It's no big deal."

Gunnar gently grabbed her elbow as Jacoba attempted to scoot off the plane. "Hey, you're ready for this. No reason for you to be nervous at all."

"Yeah," Caesar chimed in. "What he said."

"Really, Caesar? Can't you come up with something better than that?"

Before Gunnar and Caesar had any time to get into it, Jacoba held up her hand and spoke up. "Thanks guys." As she turned to walk out of the plane, she called back to them over her shoulder. "Say, did you know that you can't hum while you are holding your nose? Just a fun fact."

She was definitely asking Yin later how many of the idiots actually tried to do it. That would be awesome.
