" What the actual fuck " was Rorys first reaction.
" Not this asshole again " were Logans thoughts.
" Oh no, why he is here, nothing good is going to happen " Luke sighed even in his mind.
And only Lorelai was enjoying herself, because of opsss she was the one who sent invitation for Thanksgivings to Jess. She was still thinking a lot of awful things about this boy, but his amazing ability to destroy everything within 5 miles from him, was what she needed, why to fully destroy her relationships with her daughter, if she can use somebody else for dirty job.
– « Jess, what are you doing in town?» Luke said while standing up and hugging a little awkwardly him.
– « Lorelai invited me for Thanksgivings.» he said casually. " What an idiot! Why you needed to mention that" were Lorelai's thoughts.
– « Well, I just thought that this Thanksgiving has to include a whole family, me and Luke are back together and are hosting dinner in Dragonfly Inn, April is in town, Liz with T.J and baby will come, even my parents and finally Rory is in town too.» Lorelai was trying to make excuses.
– « With Logan» Luke added.
– « Wow mom, look at you, you are so family orientated, for the first time in 39 years.» Rory said sarcastically and turned to Jess « Hello Jess.»
– « Hey Rory.»
– « You remember Logan? Right?»
– « Ummmm, yeah of course.»
– « Hello you too.» Logan said and barely kept himself from rolling his eyes.
Jess glared at this two in disbelief, last thing he heard about them, it was when April called to congratulate with his birthday and casually mentioned about their break up, but now they are here absolutely comfortably sitting, with his arm thrown over her chair. And from his hands his sight shifted to Rory's and he noticed a ring there or how he thought "just huge expensive rock".
– « What's that?» Jess asked pointing at her hand.
– « Oh, we got engaged practically a month ago.» Rory said with a huge smile on her face.
– « Emmm, Wow, hmmmm, congratulations.» he tried to sound politely.
– « Thanks.» Logan said with similar politely way.
– « Oh, Logan look what time is it, we have to go, Lane is waiting when we will just say hi to them and next we are hiding back in Hartford, we have to be on time or grandma will freak out.» Rory said with clean expressions that she wants to leave.
– « Yeah, of course, let's go, maybe we'll catch them before twins will wake up.» he stood up and was helping Rory. « Lorelai, Luke thank you for lunch, it was nice to see you again and please Luke don't argue, I can't just leave like that.» Logan said while he was putting money on the table. Lorelai and Jess both rolled their eyes, while Logan smirked on their reaction.
– « Mom, Luke, I missed you it was nice to catch up a little bit, I'll see you at Thursday.» Rory said with biting her tongue to not to tell her mother all her thoughts about "family Thanksgiving".
– « But what about tomorrow?» Lorelai said like a child.
– « Mom, we already talked about that, I'll visit you at morning before going at Lanes place and yes only at that time, we have plans for the rest of the day.»
– « Okey, fine.»
– « Well, bye guys, bye Jess.» Rory said and Logan just added «bye».
As they walked out from Luke's, Jess continued:
– « Is he always so awfully polite and are they always so touchy?» only blind would not recognise, that during their whole conversation this two were nonstop touching each other, like if he wasn't touching her shoulders or if she will not touch his arm, then they'll die.
– « Yeah, always...» Lorelai just added.
– « Lorelai, can I speak to you for a minute? Up in my room.» Luke said angrily.
– « What?» she asked when Luke closed the door.
– « What are you doing? Why you invited Jess?»
– « You don't want to see him?» Lorelai said protectively.
– « That's not what I meant and you perfectly know that! Why are you playing this games?»
– « I am not playing anything! I just wanted Thanksgiving with my whole family, so yes I invited Jess and she is the one who is bringing that boy at my celebration, but maybe now to avoid drama he will not come!»
– « That boy is her fiance! And what does that mean? Is Christopher also invited?»
– « What he has to do with all of this?»
– « You said that you invited whole family, isn't he the father of your daughter and weren't you the one who was playing mom to his youngest one?»
– « You are unfair, you know that I haven't invited them, but yes they are also considered as a family! Especially Gigi who is a little child!»
– « But you aren't inviting that little child to have fun at celebration, you invited another big child who hates this town and everyone here, so admit that you invited him to quarrel Rory and Logan!»
– « And if I'll say yes, then what? You'll go and tell her about it and then will tell your nephew to leave?»
– « Oh no, Rory and Logan both perfectly understood that and I hope that Jess too, but if there is something he is going to try to do, I want you to see that it will only bring even closer your daughter with her fiancé.» Luke said and left the room and without forgetting to slam the door.
Lorelai was still standing there with absolute confidence that Luke is wrong.
At the same time Rorys and Logans conversation as they left dinner:
– « Unbelievable! That woman is out of her mind!»
– « Ace, calm down»
– « What she is thinking, what she is doing, why the hell she wants to mess everyone, what's her goal?»
– « Ace, calm down»
– « Calm down? I can't! Why you are not angry, why she is doing all of this and bringing Jess? She hates him!»
– « She maybe hates him, but she hates me more.» Logan said calmly.
– « Logan, no, she..»
– « Rory, yes. Your mother hates me and the reason she called your scandalous ex is for him to break us apart.»
– « Logan he can't, you know that right? I love you, you trust me?» Rory said looking right in his eyes.
– « Ror I know and I love you too and of course I trust you, I know that during trip in Costa Rica you were angry as hell at me, but we are gone through all of that, it's all in the past and I trust you, more then to anyone else in the world, but do you trust me?»
– « Logan of course and for me too you are the most trusted person in this world and Jess can't do anything to change that.»
– « I know.» Logan said and kissed her forehead « Let's go and meet with Lane or otherwise your best friend will freak out why we are so late» he chuckled.
When they entered Lane's place Logan noticed that Rory breathed a sigh of little relief, when she heard that twin's are sleeping and he noted in his mind, that they have to talk about this.
As time rolled they changed their clothes at Honors and were standing infront of Gilmore's mansions doors.
– « Are you again starting this whole theme with doorbell?» Logan chuckled.
– « There is no theme with doorbell.»
– « Then ring the doorbell.»
– « I, I'll do it, their reaction is going to be one of the best, right?» Rory asked a little nervously.
– « Right, they are supporting our engagement, remember?» Rory just nodded and kissed him at the same time she pushed the button.
– « Oh, look who is here! Rory you are back! And hello Logan!» Emily said emotionally.
– « Grandma hi! Why are you opening the door?»
– « I just missed you darling and I were very impatient to meet with both of you!» she said and kissed them both on a cheeks.
– « Hello you too Emily, it's very nice to see you again» Logan said.
– « Come in, come in, Richard kids are here!»
– « I heard Emily, I am waiting all of you here.» Richard said and next continued « Rory, Logan welcome back.» with a soft smile.
– « Grandpa hi! How are you?» she said and hugged him.
– « Richard it's good to see you again! How's your health sir?» Logan said and shaked his hand.
– « I am good, everything is fine, thank you for asking.»
– « Well, you are finally here, show me it! Show me it!» Emily said excited.
– « Show you what Grandma?» Rory chuckled.
– « Your engagement ring of course! I can't wait to see it!» and Rory just showed her hand with her ring.
– « Oh it's so beautiful darling, Logan you have an amazing taste in jewelry!» Rory chuckled on that and thought that her grandma is right now looking like if she is 5 years old who got her pony.
– « Let's get drinks ordered, Logan what you would like, scotch?» Richard asked.
– « Yes, thank you, your drinks are always one of the best.»
– « Rory and you?»
– « Just club soda.»
– « Oh so demure, isn't she still demure?» Emily said.
– « The demurest.» Logan added with a smile.
After that they had a dinner with oldest Gilmore's, Emily had tried her best to don't ask them questions about their wedding, but she knew, that she'll have her time for all of this when she'll meet them with Logans sister. But at least they got their chances to talk about how Rory is going to settle down in Palo Alto and Emily and Richard announced about their housewarming gift for Rory and it's going to be a new car, but they'll tell which one when she'll get it. Rory was against about that expensive gift, but her grandparents assured her that it's absolutely fine.

It was 9 a.m when Rory visited her mother in Stars Hollow, she tried to have a normal conversation with her, but every time when Rory asked her about why she called Jess and what she was doing, her mother would brushed her off. Lorelai was just waiting for Thanksgivings in Inn to see what will happen between her daughter and Jess and was trying her best to do not fight before, so she was trying to talk about other things and to don't give Rory an opportunity to change the topic often.
After an hour Rory was pissed off, like yeah of course it was funny to talk again about Angelina Jolie's and Brad Pitt's new red carpet looks, but right know that was literally latest possible thing which was bothering her. Rory through that the disaster supper will be only with Huntzbergers, but how it seems her mother is planning to turn Dragonfly Inn in another one.
Rory was in a bad mood after conversation with her mother so she really needed her best friend, after Lane heard all of the latest news, she just asked Rory:
– « Do you think that her actions are because of she hates Logan or don't wants you to get married?»
– « I don't know, maybe both? I know that she don't likes Logan, but she was kinda like tolerating that before and even when we were back together she tried to be civil, but after engagement something like switched in her and she became a combined version of Emily Gilmore and Lorelai Gilmore the first, don't ever tell her about this comparison.»
– « So she decided to call Jess for him to try to break you to apart.»
– « Maybe.»
– « Is he able to do it?»
– « What? No! Of course, no! I don't know why everyone is thinking that he can change something, like yeah we dated for a few months, and yes I liked him, I really did, but I never loved him. When he said that he loves me, I run away, like literally run away, I started thinking have I to say it back? And like in situation with Dean I was feeling a pressure, that now I have to say it, but I didn't. And next he asked to run away with him from Yale! Like come on, why he thought that it's going to happen? Yes I made a mistake when I kissed him during whole bridesmaids and Costa Rica fall out, but that was more because of I was mad at Logan and wanted to take a little bit of revenge, yeah I am a bad person and used him, but he was the one because of whom we fighted 2 years ago, so that was something logically. But no I never loved him, like really loved and even when I said "I love you" to Dean I kinda ment that, but in some other way, at least I never loved anybody like I love Logan, I am in love with him and nothing can change it.»
– « So, that's it Ror, let Jess to do whatever he wants, it's not going to change anything, he will only embarrass himself.»
At the same time Logan had conversation with Finn and Colin at Colin's dads place.
– « So what we are going to do with rebellion adult man, who probably is still acting like a rebellion teenager?» Colin asked.
– « Nothing.» Logan answered
– « Nothing? What?» Finn asked puzzled.
– « Yeah, that dude thinks that he can change something between me and Ace, but that's never going to happen, we love eachother and I am absolutely sure in Rory. That boy can try anything.»
– « We are also sure in Rory, we are not him, he can try to do something against her will» Colin continued.
– « I don't think that he'll risk to do something like that, he is Luke's nephew and how Lorelai says they are one huge family now, so they might fight, but in the way that in years they will be able to meet.»
– « Fine, but if what, call us, we will be in Stars Hollow as fast as possible, Loove will need all of three musketeers» Finn said and chuckled.
They marathon was going on and now they were meeting with Christopher and Gigi. Rory was happy to see her little sister, because of her age it was still a little bit hard to talk to her by phone, but Rory was trying her best to don't be a fully absent sister, she knew by herself how it feels to think that somebody is always busy for her, so she was trying at least once in two weeks to talk to her sister and now she bought some gifts for her, of course it's not Christmas, but she just wanted to bring something for Gigi. Christopher welcomed them absolutely cheerfully and they had a nice conversation, during supper Christopher brought up his suggestion to pay for their wedding:
– « Guys what you decided about my offer? Please say yes.» Christopher said hopefully.
– « We actually talked about it a lot Dad and I know that you two had a conversation about it.»
– « Ace I just wanted to assure your father, that if what I can handle everything so you won't need to coordinate every decision with everyone.»
– « And I told to your fiancé, that I know it, but I wanted to do that for you guys and that if he wants to contribute, he can buy a kangaroo kigurumi for his Australian friend.»
– « At our wedding there is not going to be 6'1 foot Aussie looking like a kangaroo!» Rory screamed at what everybody just laughed.
– « Let's go back to the topic, dad you are sure that everything is going to be okay if you'll pay?»
– « Ror yes, I've told you that for thousand times now.»
– « Than yes dad, we will be very happy and very thankful if you'll help us.» Rory said that and thought that another tantrum from Lorelai is in procession and how she is going to tell about it at Friday lunch.
– « Thanks God, finally, it's soo hard to gift you money Ror» they all chuckled and then Christopher continued « And about that..»
– « Oh no dad, what else?»
– « You will be plus/minus 24 and half when you two will get married, right?»
– « Right, but why are you asking?»
– « Your trust fund is opening at your 25th birthday, but I can move it to your wedding date.»
– « Dad stop it, you know that I don't want to talk about it.» Rory remembered how Christopher started that conversation a day before her trial with Obama, she wasn't willing to know about that then and don't wants now.
– « Kiddo, you want it or not, it's yours and you will be the only owner of it, it's parted on two, one 3.5 million dollars you'll get at your 25th birthday and 2.5 million dollars at your 30th birthday and you have to know that my grandpa was the one who created it.»
– « How much?» Rory screamed.
– « See Logan, she doesn't even knows how much is there!»
– « Well, that not something surprising from Ace.» Logan was maximally trying to stay away from that conversation and only to support Rory, that was her inheritance, her trust fund and she is the one who has to make this decision.
– « Ror, it's yours, you can use it how you want, you can buy another house or apartment, open a business, donate or open and transfer this money on a trust funds for your future kids. And for you to be calm Gigi will get a trust fund of the same size, nobody is taking anything from her.»
– « Okeydoke Dad, I'll think about that .»
After that their conversation shifted on different themes, but neither of them was as much serious as previous one, they said their goodbyes to Christopher and Gigi, promised to stay in touch and Rory said that she'll plan something for Christmas, since this years one Gigi is spending at home, Easter in France. Rory even started to think to suggest for her Dad that they can have Gigi for a week or so somewhere in May/June.
It was 7 p.m when Logan, Rory, Honor and Josh were standing in front of Huntzberger mansion door.
– « Is anybody going to ring this doorbell?» Josh asked.
– « No!» he heard three voices.
– « We are standing here for 10 minutes!»
– « Josh, you missed your in-laws?» Logan asked.
– « Logan, sorry, but no. But it's also very cold outside and we are already here, we have just to go thought "The greatest second disaster family dinner at Huntzbergers mansion" we have no options.» everybody just nodded and Josh continued « So who is going to push this button?»
– « Okay, you are right, let's do it» Logan said and Rory squeezed his hand.
– « Just try to don't yell at them in first two minutes baby brother.» Honor joked nervously.
Logan finally rang.
