Authors note Does anyone want to gift me harry potter because sadly i don't own it

The next morning I woke up really early, like at 5:30 am, I stretched and stood up. Sage was awake and flying from my desk to my lamp. "Good morning Sage" I yawned as I re-filled her food and water bowls. I then walked to my closet and picked out cargos with a camo print and a tight sleeveless black shirt. I also brought a little bag that I enchanted to fit the robes I was going to change into, treats for sage , a sketch pad, and a ton of snacks. I then managed to drag my trunk down stairs (it wasn't to hard since I gained a lot of strength while boxing earlier this year.) after I lugged it down stairs.

I started to fix Sage's cage. First I cast the charm to expand the interior then added a little plush on the floor of half for her so it would be more comfy for her and I placed a littletracker on her collar so she wouldn't get lost while sending mail. After mum, dad, and Hermione woke up too,we all sat down for breakfast. For breakfast we had hashbrowns, eggs and bacon, but i only ate the eggs and hash browns since eating pork makes me feel sick.

"Aw, I can't believe my little girls are all grown up, I remember when you two were little babies and now you're going to a boarding school." mum said emotionally when we had finished breakfast. "Let me take one last photo before we leave" dad said as he brought out his camera to take a picture of me and hermione then we placed out trunks in the back and set out to leave. We all squashed into the car. I stared out the window as we left home, Sage chirping from my lap. We drove for a bit until we reached King's Cross and left the car. We walked up until platform 10 but there was no platform 9 to be seen. I was a bit tired of wheeling my trunk so I was about to lean on the wall while mum asked if anyone knew where the platform was but instead I fell through the wall. I quickly got out and back to my parents and sister.

"Mum, dad I found it. It's in there but I think it's hidden to muggles so you can't go in. I gave mum and dad a big hug and was about to leave but they stopped me. "Sam, Hermione, wait. We have been talking for a while and we decided to get you both a gift before you leave." they said as they handed us each a gift for me: a mini audio player and recorder. and for hermione the final book to the series she had been reading recently. We said our goodbyes and Hermione and I walked into platform 9 3/4 , and it was like walking into a whole different world. We walked onto the train and started looking for a compartment. "Hermione, i'm going to look around ill find you later" i said after i pushed my trunk into a compartment, As i was going to look around i felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around, "Um, excuse me could you help me find my toad trevor." a boy who looked around my age with dark hair and light skin asked. "Sure, what's your name? Mine is Samantha, but you can call me sam." I said as I shook his hand. "I'm neville," he replied "Well Neville, we ought to start looking, don't we?"

I asked as We started to walk around. We searched from compartment to compartment searching. Finally after 10 minutes we walked into the right compartment. "Have you seen a toad by any chance?." I asked the group of boys as Neville stood behind me. " Do you mean this frog," he joked as he levitated an old looking frog. "Trevor" Neville exclaimed, obviously worried. "Yes that frog, now hand it over." I said as I motioned for him to hand me the frog. "Hah, this mudblood thinks she can order me around" the blond boy Harry had been talking to at Madam Malkins, laughed to the goons sitting around him. " Could you just give him the toad or do you enjoy stealing peoples pets?" I asked, feeling enraged. " Now who do you think i am mudblood that you could just insult me" he said clearly sounding a bit annoyed. "

Hmm, i dont know maybe a nasty stealing bully" I huffed. Now i had deffintly made him mad. I quickly snatched the toad, and shut the door. . After we had finally left, I handed Neville his frog. "Now the only thing left is to find somewhere to sit," I said motioning to all the full compartments. "Uhm , I know two boys, they're probably saving me a seat, you could sit with us. Also thank you for saving Trevor, "Neville said. Meanwhile….. Rom was about to show me the spell George had taught him when a girl burst in. "Is there any space in here" she asked "not really" Ron mumbled but she was looking at the wand in his hand. "Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see it, then." She sat down. Ron looked taken aback. "Er — all right." He cleared his throat. "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow." He waved his wand, but nothing happened. Scabbers stayed gray and fast asleep. "Are you sure that's a real spell?" said the girl. "Well, it's not very good, is it? I've tried a few simple spells just for practice and it's all worked for me. Nobody in my family's magic at all, it was ever such a surprise when I got my letter, but I was ever so pleased, of course, I mean, it's the very best school of witchcraft there is, I've heard — I've learned all our course books by heart, of course, I just hope it will be enough — I'm Hermione Granger, by the way, who are you?" She said all this very fast. I looked at Ron, and was relieved to see by his stunned face that he hadn't learned all the course books by heart either. "I'm Ron Weasley," Ron muttered. "Harry Potter," I said . "Are you really?" said Hermione.

"I know all about you, of course — I got a few extra books for background reading, and you're in Modern Magical History and The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts and Great Wizarding Events of the Twentieth Century." "Am I?" I said, feeling dazed. "Goodness, didn't you know, I'd have found out everything I could if it was me," said Hermione. "Do either of you know what House you'll be in? I've been asking around, and I hope I'm in Gryffindor, it sounds by far the best; I hear Dumbledore himself was in it, but I suppose Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad. . . . Anyway You two had better change, you know, I expect we'll be there soon." And she left, taking th "Whatever House I'm in, I hope she's not in it," said Ron. He threw his wand back into his trunk. "Stupid spell — George gave it to me, bet he knew it was a dud." Back to sam…. The mood immediately brightened. I followed Neville to a compartment in the back. " Dean, seamus, this is Sam," he said motioning to me as I waved and we sat inside. " Hey Sam, not to be rude but Neville hasn't mentioned you to us before, why'd he invite you?" Seamus asked after shaking my hand. " She saved Trevor from malfoy after helping me find him." Neville exclaimed.

"Wow nice to meet you!" Dean exclaimed, shaking my hand. After a while of talking I learned a few things about them like how Neville is pure blood, Seamus is a halfblood, and Dean has now idea who his dad is so they refer to him as a muggleborn, oh and he's also a great artist. "What house do you think you guys will end up in?" I asked. As I fed sage a treat. " my parents were both Gryffindors, but I bet I'll end up in hufflepuff. I'm quite lousy at magic from what I've tried so far." Neville said. "Hufflepuff doest seem that bad i mean loyalty, and kindness seems pretty good, plus its better hufflepuff then being slytherin, Their mostly evil gits" i said staring out of the window. " That's the most agreeable thing I've heard all day," Seamus said.
" If I'm wild enough in my last year I might try getting on the roof to get a picture of this forest that is beautiful" I said but The bus soon came to a stop and we all boarded off. "First years over 'ere" hagrid yelled over the noise over chatting kids. We all walked over as we stood in front of him. We then followed him to the boats on the shore of the lake. " no more than four in a boat" he ordered as we made our way to the boats. " I'll see you guys later.

I want to check in on my sister. Bye," I said to the boys as I found my sister sitting on a boat with two boys. " Hey, is it okay if I sit with you guys?" I asked. I hopped in when the black haired boy nodded. I sat next to Hermione and gave her a huge hug. " i'm so sorry , i was helping a kid find his toad and i lost track of time an-" I said before hermione cut me off " it's fine sam, This is Ron weasley, and harry potter" hermione said. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Sam Hermione's twin," I said, giving them my most charming smile. "Wait, you're the girl Fred and George were talking about. Is it true you slapped Malfoy? "Ron asked. "Yeah but I'm pretty sure any girl would slap a boy who was being weird and touching their arm without their permission," I shrugged. I pulled out my camera and took a picture of the castle over the lake, the sunset reflecting on the lake. Ooh this would be perfect to send to mum and dad i thought. We soon arrived at Hogwarts and we all climbed out of the boats. Hagrid knocked on the door three times and it opened. The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there.

Oh that's Professor McGonagall, the one who told us about Hogwarts I thought. "The first' years, Professor McGonagall," said Hagrid. "Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here." She pulled the door wide. The entrance hall was so big you could have fit the whole of the Dursleys' house in it. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts, the ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors. They followed Professor McGonagall across the flagged stone floor. I could hear the drone of hundreds of voices from a doorway to the right — the rest of the school must already be here — but Professor McGonagall showed the first years into a small, empty chamber off the hall. They crowded in, standing rather closer together than they would usually have done, peering about nervously. nervously. "Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your Houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your House will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your House, sleep in your House dormitory, and spend free time in your House common room. "The four Houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each House has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your House points, while any rule-breaking will lose House points.

At the end of the year, the House with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever House becomes yours. "The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting." Her eyes lingered for a moment on Neville's cloak, which was fastened under his left ear, and on Ron's smudged nose. Harry nervously tried to flatten his hair. "I shall return when we are ready for you," said Professor McGonagall. "Please wait quietly." She left the chamber. "How exactly do they sort us into Houses?" he asked Ron. "Some sort of test, I think. Fred said it hurts a lot, but I think he was joking." My heart gave a horrible jolt. A test? In front of the whole school? But I didn't know much magic yet — what on earth would he have to do? I hadn't expected something like this the moment I arrived. I looked around anxiously and saw that everyone else looked terrified, too. No one was talking much except Hermione, who was whispering very fast about all the spells she'd learned and wondering which one she'd need. I had tried hard not to listen to her. I had never been more nervous, never, not even when I'd first started running competitively. I Kept my eyes fixed on the door. Any second now, Professor McGonagall would come back and lead him to his doom. Then something happened that made him jump about a foot in the air — several people behind him screamed. "What the — ?" Harry gasped from in front of me. So did the people around him. About twenty ghosts had just streamed through the back wall.

Pearly-white and slightly transparent, they glided across the room talking to one another and hardly glancing at the first years. They seemed to be arguing. What looked like a fat little monk was saying: "Forgive and forget, I say, we ought to give him a second chance —" "My dear Friar, haven't we given Peeves all the chances he deserves? He gives us all a bad name and you know, he's not really even a ghost — I say, what are you all doing here?" A ghost wearing a ruff and tights had suddenly noticed the first years. Nobody answered. "New students!" said the Fat Friar, smiling around at them. "About to be Sorted, I suppose?" A few people nodded mutely. "Hope to see you in Hufflepuff!" said the Friar. "My old House, you know." "Move along now," said a sharp voice. "The Sorting Ceremony's about to start." Professor McGonagall had returned. One by one, the ghosts floated away through the opposite wall. "Now, form a line," Professor McGonagall told the first years, "and follow me.

" Feeling oddly as though my legs had turned to lead, me and hermione were in front of Harry who got into line behind a boy with sandy hair, with Ron behind him, and they walked out of the chamber, back across the hall, and through a pair of double doors into the Great Hall. I had never even imagined such a strange and splendid place. It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting. Professor McGonagall led the first years up here, so that they came to a halt in a line facing the other students, with the teachers behind them. The hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns in the flickering candlelight.

Dotted here and there among the students, the ghosts shone misty silver. Mainly to avoid all the staring eyes, I looked upward and saw a velvety black ceiling dotted with stars. I heard Hermione whisper, "It's bewitched to look like the sky outside. I read about it in Hogwarts: A History." It was hard to believe there was a ceiling there at all, and that the Great Hall didn't simply open on to the heavens. I quickly looked down again as Professor McGonagall silently placed a four-legged stool in front of the first years. On top of the stool she put a pointed wizard's hat. This hat was patched and frayed and extremely dirty. Mum wouldn't have let it in the house. The hat called people to the hat one by one until the hat had finally called hermione. " Hermione granger…... .Gryffindor" it exploded as Hermione walked toward the gold and red decorated table.

A moment later i was called. I nervously sat on the stool waiting for an answer. "Hm, brave gryffindor would suit you, loyal and kind, so would hufflepuff, smart and wise, seems like a raven claw, Cunning and ambitious, a fine slytherin you would be. Child you are one of the greatest mysteries I have seen since this school was started. Each house would be lucky to have you "I heard it say in my mind. " but for the friends you will find….. GRYFINDOR" it yelled out loud. I quickly walked to the golden and red table and sat next to hermione. "What happened that took nearly 5 minutes," Hermione whispered. Gosh, I had no idea it took that long I thought. " I'll tell you later," I whispered back. Soon after everyone else was sorted. Ron, Harry, Neville, Dean, and seamus were sorted into gryffindor as well. We followed our prefects to our dorms and rushed in.

" Girls in that tower, boys in the opposite one" Percival Weasley ordered as we all rushed up the stairs into our rooms. Hermione and I walked into our room that we shared with three other girls. We all started unpacking out trunks into the drawers near our beds. Soon enough we were all about finished when I walked into the middle of the room. " room meeting" i yelled even Hermione was surprised. "If we're all going to share a room for the next 7-8 years then we should all try to be friends so it's like a sleepover evernight. I'll go first, my name is Sam and I like running and dancing "I said in a more normal tone. After another girl piped up, " my name is Parvati, and I like drawing and singing." she said. "My name is Abby and I like drawing and running." another said. " My name is Mia and I like shopping and dogs," a different one said. " My name is Hermione and I like reading and games," Hermione finally said and we all chatted till it was time for bed.
