A/N: Don't know if this is necesarry but figured i might as well put a trigger warning here. this chapter contains a bit of violence so i feel i better let you all know of that. This chapter really made me go "Wow i wrote this" it's unlike anything i've written before so i hope you guys like it.

It was a bit of a creepy sight to behold. The abandoned hospital was always a bit of a weird place in Fuyuki. Ten years ago it seemed to be the target of an attack. Rin knew that it had something to do with the Holy Grail War from that time and Waver had confirmed as such. Now standing before it with Elena next to her. Knowing who was hiding there. She didn't feel scared or unnerved. But more like she was on fire and nobody could stop her.

"Any traps at the front door?" Rin asked.

"No nothing. They didn't think it necessary since nobody ever comes here" Elena responded.

Rin nodded and made her way past the fence and to the front door with Elena training behind her. Her hands where in her pockets, ready to use a jewel if Elena pulled anything upon their entrance.

But their entrance was very anticlimactic. Nothing happened and they stepped in normally. Rin looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary then your other standard abandoned location.

"We gotta go a few floors up" Elena said.

Rin then made a gesture implying Elena should go up first. The Saber look alike didn't object and went up the nearby stairs towards the first floor. Elena made her way through the floor first with Rin following close behind her. Laser focused and ready for everything.

"His lab is on the third floor" Elena said.

And so they went up the two additional floors. Rin took note of how quiet everything was inside this place. Not that she expected it to be bustling but it was quiet in a way similar to being in a forest. That's what she was told. If everything suddenly went quiet, a predator was nearby.

Coming up to the third floor they were greeted with a dividing way left and right and a weird black stain on the ground. Rin imagined it was just remnants of ash from the fire years ago and stepped forward.

"Rin wait!" Elena yelled.

But it was too late as soon as Rin stepped onto the blackened ground she felt something hold onto her leg. Looking down she was ghastly looking hands beginning to emerge from the blackened ground and hold onto her legs and aiming for her hands.

Elena stepped in to try and help but unfortunately ended up in the same predicament. Arms reaching out and holding onto both of them tightly. Struggling against the pull seemed to yield no result it was like they were stuck in quicksand.

"What the hell is this!"

"Well, well, well look what has been caught up in my little security system" a sinister sounding voice said, following by continuous snicker.

Both girls looked up as the figure of Doctor Arefal Richter turned the corner of the right wing of the hospital. Clapping his hands together in a mocking gesture as he walked towards the pair.

"Thank you two for that I hadn't tested that out yet. Glad to see it's working. And Elena why am I both surprised yet also not surprised to see you here?" Richter pointed out before setting his eyes on Rin.

"So you're him. You're Arefal Richter?" Rin asked.

Richter grinned mockingly "perhaps. Whose asking?"

"The one that's going to kill you!" Rin shouted out as she tried to step forward but was pulled back by the strength of the arms emanating from the ground.

"Oh my you're an angry one. Elena please clarify to me what exactly did I do to this woman for her to want to come for my head?" Richter asked Elena still with that same mocking tone, as if he didn't take the threat seriously at all.

"It's not what you did to her. It's what you did to Sakura Matou. That's her sister" Elena explained with a straight face.

Richter's eyes lit up and he cracked a smile "oh yeah that. That was your sister huh. Very strong girl she was, still standing after I took so much blood. It was a marvelous sight to behold. Might have overdone it a bit but in the end it was well worth it. The project works and it's all thanks to your sister."

Rin was trembling with anger, so much so that even the hands restraining her where beginning to shake.

"You….you sick bastard!"

Again she tried to reach out again to no avail, much to Richter's amusement.

"You won't escape from that I can assure you. But feel free to keep on trying it is endlessly amusing" Richter said mockingly, crossing his arms and grinning from ear to ear.

"You went too far with this one Richter!" Elena told him.

"Oh and suddenly you have grown a conscience miss Elena?" Richter asked indignantly "discovery requires experimentation. I did what I needed to do, what I was hired by your father to do. He just happened to provide me with an excellent test subject. A very powerful Magus though she is completely unaware of it."

Richter cackled as he walked over towards Rin. Close enough to reach out and cup her chin with his hands.

"You know. She screamed for you. Screamed for her big sister, screamed for Emiya to save her the more blood I took. I wonder if you'll scream just like her."

The way he grinned at her, as sinister as he could. Making a mockery of the horror he had inflicted upon Sakura. Rin's anger was burning hot to a degree she never imagined she would be capable off.

As she shook from anger a faint red light was erupting from her pocket. As it did she felt the restraints of the arms weaken a bit. She knew she had a chance in that brief moment. Richter had seen it too, seeing the light erupting from her jacket pocket he instinctively took a step backwards.

Rin pulled with all her might, freeing her arm and reaching into her pocket and pulling out a red jewel.

"Zerstoren!" she yelled out and threw the jewel on the ground. Where it released a blast of energy that instantly blasted Richter backwards to the ground, his glasses falling and breaking as soon as it hit the ground, as well as incinerated the arms that where restraining her and Elena.

"Rin you did it!" Elena congratulated her.

But Rin didn't hear it. Instead her gaze was laser focused on Richter, who was slowly getting up, the grin on his face now replaced with a look of absolute terror. Rin raised her finger in his direction as her magical circuits lit up.

Richter bolted and ran away just as the first shot of red energy was fired from Rin's fingertip, barely missing him by an inch as the man around the corner and out of sight.

"Rin I'll cut him off at the other end!" Elena said. But before she could had finished the sentence Rin had already begun running in the direction Richter had run off towards.

As she ran she had nothing but clear determination in mind as she turned the corner she immediately started blasting in all directions. Nothing hit as she saw no sign of Richter anywhere around her. Slowly she took a few steps into the hallway, seeing a faint light coming from one of the rooms on the right.

As she slowly approached it she peeked through the window and saw it was the laboratory she had heard about it. In it she saw no sign of Richter but the door to it was wide open. She peered inside and saw the results of his experiments. On the nearest table was a decayed hand and a syringe filled with what seemed to be blood.

Rin held her hand raised high as she stepped into the laboratory. It was quite spacious and there where a lot of tables that he could hide behind. It would be easy for him to hide, he was a bit shorter than her.

Suddenly she felt a hard hit on her head and fell towards the floor. Before she had time to respond she felt a led metal pipe suddenly press against her throat and what felt like someone's knee in her back. And suddenly she was gasping for breath.

Rin glanced backwards and saw the glimpse of Richter's very angry face as she held the cold metal pipe straining against her throat.

"Thought you would get away with attacking me did you brat!" Richter angrily bellowed at her.

Rin knew her jewels would be useless now that she couldn't speak any incantations. With one hand she fumbled into her pocket and pulled out something she never thought she would never use. A blasted pocket knife she had bought just in case she ever needed to defend herself.

"Did you honestly believe you'd get the better of me! Me! The man whose brilliance achieved the impossible!"

He pressed harder into her back as Rin fumbled with the pocket knife in her pocket. She had only one shot at using it at this moment and she was going in completely blind. She finally pulled it out, unsheathed and ready.

And she yelled out as she leaned back and started lunging the small knife forward as hard as she could. Not seeing anything.

"AAAHHHH!"

Apparently by that scream she had hit her mark. Richter's grip faltered enough for her to turn her head and saw she had hit him right in the underbelly.

"YOU FILTHY BRAT! HOW DARE YOU!" he screeched loudly.

At that moment Rin saw something behind Richter and in an instant he was pulled off of her. It was Elena who had wrapped her arm around the doctor's head and pulled him off of her. Then Rin could finally catch her breath.

"Get your hands off me this instant!"

Elena kept Richter in a headlock that he struggled against. It was then that Rin saw the extend of her damage. Minimal but effective as the pocket knife was lodged into Richter's underbelly, his white shirt staining red.

She immediately moved forward and procured another jewel from her pocket. Aiming it down to where she had stabbed Richter and made a slashing motion with her hand.

"Schragstrich!" Rin yelled out.

A flash of green energy and Richter screamed out in agony as a large gash appeared on his stomach, tearing through the bottom half of his shirt and blood began to spill out.

"AAAAAAHHH!"

Elena stumbled backwards out of the laboratory until she was back into the hallway and threw a screaming Richter to the ground. He clutched his stomach as it wouldn't stop bleeding.

"NO! NOT AGAIN!" Richter yelled out with tears in his eyes as he tried in vain to crawl away but the pain was overwhelming him.

Rin had stood frozen for a bit as she watched the scene unfold. It was a direct and painful hit and she had never made one like that. She breathed slowly in and out and her eyes glanced at the metal pipe next to her. Without thinking she picked up and walked into the hallway.

Elena made no attempt to stop Rin and allowed her to just walk past her as she stepped towards the crawling and desperate Richter. He looked at her and their eyes met. His producing nothing short of pure fear as Rin's eyes where completely cold and void of emotion.

She lifted the metal pipe into the air and made the first swing. Hitting Richter clear on the head and making him scream out even more.

A second hit followed, this time connecting with Richter's arm as he tried to shield himself. Then the third came as she this time slammed right onto his already bleeding stomach.

"Does it hurt Richter!" Rin angrily spat "just like the pain you put her through!"

She was literally driving him into a corner as she swung like a woman possessed. Elena just watched from the sidelines, making no attempt to stop her, knowing it was probably pointless to even attempt.

Richter could barely reply as the last swing literally had pushed him into the corner of the wall as he lay upright against it. Spitting out blood and trying in vain to stop his stomach from bleeding even more but to no avail. Rin stepped closer to him, the metal pipe clanging against the floor, inching closer and closer to him.

"You brat!" he spat out with as much vitriol as his pained body could produce "the world…the world needs people like me. People who achieve…who achieve the impossible!"

Rin's eyes blazed up once those words reached "people like you….people like you!" she snapped at him "no…people like you deserve to ROT IN HELL!"

She held the metal pipe with both hands and lunged forward with intense ferocity. The world turning black as she closed her eyes and her rage overwhelmed her for that moment.

When she opened her eyes again she saw what she had done.

Richter was gurgling, the metal pipe was launched with such intensity and power that it had gone straight through his throat. Rin could barely believe the sight in front of her as Richter was gurgling and drooling blood as he desperately gasped for air. He couldn't even scream.

Rin grabbed hold of the pipe and without flinching pushed it even further, extracting more gurgling desperate sounds from the doctor. She locked eyes with him, seeing his terrified eyes, almost begging for the suffering to end. But she wouldn't let it not yet.

She pushed one last time, eliciting one last desperate gurgle from Richter. She stepped backwards and watched as the doctor's hand stopped twitching and his body seemed to go completely limb. His head falling backwards against the ball, his eyes turning lifeless.

Rin looked at it for a while until it finally hit her all at once. All her emotions at once overwhelming her and she cried out and began to fall to her knees. At that moment Elena sprang into action and grabbed her before she fell and instead simply and slowly made her go to her knees just as Rin began to weep.

"It's okay. You had no choice" Elena assured her softly as she embraced Rin. Allowing the girl to cry onto her shoulder. Anger and rage had changed into a deep fear and almost shame. Rin felt a mixture of emotions that felt unfamiliar to her and here she was now crying in the arms of the person she distrusted.

She had killed someone. That was the only thought currently going through her head.
