Darkness. That was all that surrounded him. He couldn't feel his own hand clutching his face, all he could feel was the presence surrounding him in this void. All he could hear was the voice that was speaking to him.
"I can sense in your heart what you desire. You desire for blood," a deep almost growling voice spoke "blood is what you crave. The blood of the one who took your father. Find my disciple and I will grant you your wish…now rise Kerrion, RISE!"
With a frantic scream, Kerrion Manadek opened his eyes and sat right up. He felt something gnawing at his skin. He looked down and saw himself covered in what seemed to be many worms with odd carvings on their body. In response to seeing them he instantly tore every single one from his body and stood up. Running to the nearby stairs, his vision still blurry as he ran up the stairs and towards the door that would lead him out of this place.
He crashed through the door with full force, almost knocking it off its hinges. He looked around. He had no idea where he was as he frantically looked around.
"What the hell is this place!" he shouted.
At that moment someone came running around the corner. It was Fallow and she looked at him and yelled "Kerrion calm down please…"
Kerrion looked at her with a surprised expression "Madame Fallow. What's going on here? Where am I?"
"You're in my home" a voice chimed in. From behind Fallow the almost ghoulish figure of Zouken Matou appeared. "Nasira brought you here after she found you washed ashore at the lake by Ryuudou Temple."
Fallow glanced over at Zouken, trying her best to put on a polite face "thank you for your help Zouken" she said, genuinely thanking him.
"After you helped get rid of that rat who hurt my dearest granddaughter. I'm happy to return the favor" Zouken said.
Kerrion looked around the house, still not fully grasping everything that had happened. "What where those things! What was that voice! And where the hell is my fa….."
Fallow looked down at the ground. At that moment Kerrion recalled everything. The fight, falling into the lake, the pain in his eye as Rin struck him. And his father….dead on the ground. All thanks to Shirou Emiya.
His eyes began to water again and he turned away and then he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. Slowly with shaking fingers he walked towards and then he saw it.
On his right eye, vertically was a large red scar. He slowly traced it with his fingers. It was still so fresh. This was all he had to remind him of the fight. This was all Shirou Emiya's fault.
With an angry shout he smashed his fist into the mirror, not caring about the bloody fist he get as a result and began to walk away.
"Kerrion where are you going?" Fallow said chasing after him.
Walking through the corridor he yelled "to kill Shirou Emiya! He must pay for what he has done!"
Fallow caught up to him and pulled at his shoulder "Kerrion you can't do that. You're not well. I found you barely alive at the lakefront you can't go out there and…"
"HE KILLED MY FATHER!" he yelled at her as tears streamed down his eyes. Fallow let go of him and took a step back "he killed my father. He will pay for this with his life!" he said as he turned around again, only to be stopped as Zouken Matou suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Actually my boy I would recommend against that course of action."
"Stay out of this old man. You don't know what you're talking about!" Kerrion responded with an angry scoff.
"Actually I think I do. You see you got this all wrong. If you want to make this boy pay for your father's death. Then why kill him?" he asked almost philosophically.
Kerrion raised his eyebrow "what are you getting at old man?"
Zouken smiled maliciously "never accept death. When suffering is owed."
Fallow watched as Zouken said this and felt a pit in her stomach. Even more so when she saw that Kerrion actually seemed to listen and understand what he was trying to say. She knew the boy since he was a kid, well meaning but dense and now she saw something unfold that didn't feel right to her.
He looked duplicitous, almost evil as plain as the scar on his face. It was a far cry from how she recalled him.
"You're right….he should suffer. He should suffer for what he did to my father…but how…how do I…"
At this moment Kerrion again felt the world disappear around him. Back in the void he was previously and he could hear that growling again he heard before while he was in Zouken's basement.
"You want him to suffer….I can grant you that…"
"Who are you! And what do you want from me!" Kerrion yelled, screaming into the void.
"Someone who wishes to help you. Your father was cruelly taken from this world, and for that the one responsible must be punished…find my disciple….and revenge shall be yours…"
The world returned once more, back into the Matou household as Kerrion looked around, it was like he had never left, instead Fallow and Zouken observed him carefully.
"Kerrion…I'm so sorry for your loss…but vengeance won't bring him back…"
"BE QUIET!" Kerrion snarled at her as he walked past her and bend down, grabbing one of the broken mirror pieces of the ground and looking at himself through it. Observing the fresh scar that was now clear on his face. There he was, the scarred son, the disgraced brother.
Without blinking he turned back around, facing a scared Fallow and a curious Zouken.
"Kerrion is dead," he said tracing the right side of his face as he tossed the mirror shard on the floor "from now on. Call me Scar."
A/N: And there it is the end of the story. And what a ride it has been. The longest story I wrote on here and thanks to my amazing friends to whom this story is dedicated. I want to thank all of you who read and enjoyed this story and to those that did. Don't worry as this chapter clearly shows there is more to come.
Very soon I will be starting on a sequel to this story. I plan to write two sequels to this story and create a great overarching narrative. With new original characters and probably a time skip. I'm looking very much forward to it and I hope you guys are too. So until soon everyone.
And I will see you all back for the sequel. Fate Ever After II: The Revenge of Scar.
