Cardia walked through the halls of the school from Transfiguration to Potions that rainy day. She felt better now that Tom knew what was going on after he read the letter from her father. Tom told her that he would keep an ear out for what Malfoy says in the common room as she cannot enter Slytherin house with those around her. She tried to write her father back, but each owl came back undeliverable, which worried her. She wrote to her Uncle/Godfather Celsors Mccoyle who would be retrieving her from the platform at the holidays. She told him she tried to respond to his letter and that it was undeliverable. He responded with he will look into it and that she needed to focus on end of term exams that occurred before the Holidays. She knew that her grandmother was not happy that she would not be allowed around the manor now that Celsors was the head of the Beckford family.

Her Uncle was the son of her fathers younger sister, meaning that he could become the Head of the family in the case that her father would step down. And according to her Uncle he had in all intensive purposes stepped down. Her father hadn't disclosed this to her in any letters leading up to his last once. Which worried her, she knew that Grindelwald was pressuring her father but she didn't know it was to the point that he would step down as head of the house.

Cardia was so deep into her thoughts she ran right into Tom as they were waiting for Slughorn to open the classroom for them to enter.

"Cardia are you alright?" Alphard asked looking at her over Toms shoulder.

"I'm fine just stuck in my head." She rubbed her nose as it collided with Toms shoulder blade.

"Anything that we can help with?" Charlus asked in concern.

"I'm just worried about my father is all. I haven't heard anything since his last letter and all my letters are returned with out being read." She explained.

"Thats not good." Percy shown concern in his eyes.

"I've reached out to my Uncle and he said he would look into it and to focus on my exams." Cardia sighed in frustration.

Her friends were always kind to her and they seemed to be concerned about this as well. They knew that her father was a kind man and would try anything and everything for her and those she cared about. That not responding was something that he would not do to his daughter. Before she could continue to think on it, the door to the potions classroom opened and Professor Slughorn welcomed the students in with a smile.

Not long into the lecture on the pepper up potion they would be making the next class, Professor McGonagall walked in, apologizing for the interruption. She looked over at Cardia, and gave her a smile that did not reach her eyes that shown concern and worry.

"Miss Beckford could you come with me, your needed in the Headmasters office." The Professor spoke.

Cardia gathered her belongings and book while Tom promised to share his notes with her later. She gave him a smile and fallowed the Professor out of the classroom. While walking Professor McGonagall made small talk asking how she was faring in her other classes and the older witch knew that Cardia was one of the top in the 2nd year Transfiguration class. Cardia suspected that the Professor was trying to help put her at ease with being called to the headmasters office. That in its self was nerve racking to Cardia, but that just added to the uneasiness she felt with everything going on with her father.

"Miss Beckford, remember my office and that of your head of house is always open if you need to talk to someone." McGonagall spoke before giving the password to the gargoyle that protected the office of the Head Master.

Cardia walked up the stairs that revealed themselves as the gargoyle moved after the password. She felt nervous as she made her way to the door, even more so then she was walking with Professor McGonagall. As she came close to the door, she heard yelling coming from the other side of the door. as she reached for the knob the door flew open and showed whom was inside the office.

Her Uncle, two Arura's, and the Headmaster. Her Uncle and one of the Arura's where nearly nose to nose with each other and the other was trying to pacify them. She looked at the sceen wide eyed as they looked over at her in the door way.
