Hi~ everyone. So I found a website called and I learned it can work on a story like this, including relationships, character information, and abilities. I might post the story there and rework on this fanfic. With that being said, enjoy this new chapter.
Chapter 4
At night, Taiga was laying on his bed and staring at the ceiling to recall the early evening after Sakuya left to head home, he couldn't get the image out of his head between Mitsuki and Fenrir. Although his presence terrified Taiga, Mitsuki on the other hand didn't bother at all. He closed his eyes to recall that evening.
"Bye, see you two tomorrow." Sakuya said to Fenrir and Mitsuki as she waved and smiled. "Wait Sakuya, I need Mitsuki and your phone number, so I can contact you two." Fenrir suggested they exchange their phone numbers as he pulled out black smartphone. Mitsuki gasped lightly. "You're right. How silly of us, hold on, I will grab my smartphone." She replied and started digging her school bag. Sakuya was amused and reached her bag to start searching for a smartphone. "Let me guess, to check and make sure our asses are okay or you are just worried about Mitsuki after what happened to the old monk." She teasing Fenrir, Mitsuki in response was blushing in embarrassment and finally fished out her silver color smartphone. Fenrir lifted his head, stared at Sakuya in disbelief, yet his cheek was in faint blushing. "You… You could say that, but I am only asking your numbers and make sure you two don't do stupid shit." He replied bluntly and unlocked his phone, he handed his smartphone to Mitsuki, who also unlocked her phone and handed her to him, while she gave him a strange look. Taiga kept his distance, but kept his watchful eye on the pure white hair young boy, and he noticed his golden iris were slightly glowing as he and the girls were exchanging numbers. Only on Mitsuki, but Taiga fearfully wondered what Fenrir wanted from her. "Hey come on man, Mitsuki and I dealt with yokais before. Although, she can see yurei, so she will tell me where they are." Sakuya's enthusiastic voice snapped Taiga's thoughts. Fenrir looked at Sakuya in astonished looks, but quickly gave two girls a relieved smile. He patted their head like they were a child. "Alright, I will trust you two. Be careful out there." He said, earning Mitsuki a giggle with her hand covering her lips, and Sakuya chuckled with an amusing grin. As his hands were away from their heads, Sakuya stepped back and gave her best friend and new friend a wave. "See you two tomorrow morning. Bye!" She said, Mitsuki waved back with a bright smile. "Have a good evening, and please tell your aunt and uncle I said hi." She replied back. Fenrir let out a simple wave. "See you tomorrow Sakuya." He said as Sakuya nodded and walked away. "I will." She called out. Taiga approaches two hybrids, yet cautious of Fenrir. "Fenrir, right." He said to Fenrir, he looked at Head Priest and caused him to flinch to look at his predator eyes. He swallowed dryly as Mitsuki looked at her legal guardian. "I have been told by Yosuke that you found him injured by white wolf attack, and you scared him away?" He asked him, while he cautiously grabbed Mitsuki's sleeve to pull her away from him, she was puzzled. Fenrir caught what Taiga was doing, but did nothing, he was a little annoyed as his throat let out a growl. Mitsuki's hypersensitive hearing caught his growl that shivers down her spine, but she has no idea why. Although, he keeps himself composed. "So my foster father told you, but yes I scared the white wolf away. He must've sensed my other half, and I will easily beat the shit out of him." He replied. Taiga suddenly grew curious. "Your other half?" He asked, but Fenrir said nothing. Mitsuki cut right in with a soft smile to ease the tension. "He is half human, but he isn't too comfortable to tell you about his other half. Fenrir-san said he will tell us once he feels comfortable or he fully trusts me and Sakuya-chan." She said to ease the tension. Taiga looked at her as he let go of her sleeves, then Fenrir with a surprised look said that he had to keep his other half a secret. "Is that so? Your aura I am sensing is… intimidating and dark." He noted his aura. Fenrir stared at Taiga for a long second, but he shrugged his shoulders. "I get that a lot from those religious people." He said before he let out his grin. "They always find me intimidating to approach and they never welcome me to the church because they always see me as demon spawn or a bunch of bullshit. But hey, when I attend Horikawa High School, a bunch of girls find me damn attractive. I started to befriend Mitsuki and Sakuya, but we all just got to know each other after my foster father told me about them." He said before he chuckled and patted Mitsuki's head affectionately. She smiled shyly from the pat she received, while Taiga grew increasingly nervous. "How did Mitsuki feel comfortable about Fenrir, while I feel intimidated by his presence?" He thought, but more importantly what about Yosuke. Fenrir looked up at the sky, the sun was about to be gone. "Damn the sun is about set, he is going to lecture my ass off, if I am late." He said in a calm tone. Mitsuki softens her eyes while looking at the back of his head. "Kannushi-dono and I can't let you keep Kiryū-dono waiting." She said and looked back to her legal guardian. "Is that right Kannushi-dono?" She asked him with a bright smile. Taiga shifted his weary brown eyes off of Fenrir, who looked at him, to Mitsuki's pupilless silver blue eyes. He weary smiled at her. "Ah yes, Yosuke-dono might be worried." He agreed. "More likely, away from us." He thought to himself. Fenrir raised his eyebrow as he suspiciously guessed he's already afraid of him, but he brushed it off. He knew Yosuke was thinking. "I don't think he will be worried about me because one he knows my hybrid heritage and two I grew up surviving on my own in a hellish orphanage." He nonchalantly replied of his own survival, this made Mitsuki pouted cutely. Taiga wondered if Yosuke really took care of him. "He should be worried, I mean he is your foster father." She protested him. "Yeah yeah, I know." Fenrir agreed and two hybrids and Taiga headed down the path to their home. Taiga noted those two grew close, until Fenrir dropped them off and he said farewell to Mitsuki.
Taiga opened his eyes, during dinner Mitsuki explained to her legal guardian how she and Sakuya met him, but how they found his surname as Kiryū. He turned his head and slowly fell asleep. "I had a bad feeling about this Kiryū Fenrir." He thought to himself, uncomfortable about Fenrir becoming close to two young girls.
By the time morning arrived at Horikawa High School, Mitsuki was writing the notes from her English teacher. Sakuya wasn't too fond of English, but she couldn't let her uncle down. Their teacher was a young man in mid 20s, most of the female students grew fond of him to the dismay of most of male students. He held the english textbook, and looked at his students with a smile. "Tsukimori-san, would you read paragraph 2 in complete sentences?" He asked her. Sakuya looked to her left to look at Mitsuki, who gave her a good luck smile. Sakuya took a deep breath. "Yes." She replied and stood up with her textbook in her hands. She looked at the text book and read it in english, but she had trouble speaking the pronunciation. Some of the students were silently laughing, while others were confused. The English teacher sighed. "Tsukimori-san, you can stop now. I will pass it to Kokoromi-san. Kokoromi-san!" He said to save her embarrassment. Sakuya felt her face red and sat down. "I'm sorry." Mitsuki got up with her textbook, and looked at her textbook. "It is a beautiful morning and I believe the afternoon will be sunny the whole day." She reads the paragraph in English with a Japanese Accent. The English Teacher was impressed and nodded. "Thank you Kokoromi-san, you may sit down." He said as Mitsuki sat down. Sakuya pouted at her childhood friend. "I need an English tutor." She whispered to her. Mitsuki looked at her in sympathy. "I can share my notes with you during study break, or maybe ask Fenrir-san… he might be good at English." She suggested sharing the note or asking Fenrir for an English tutor. Sakuya smiled at her friend and raked her neck length hair with her fingers. "If only my mom was alive. Uncle Ryō told me she was good at english." She mentioned her late mother, Mitsuki was saddened because she never met Sakuya's mother in person since she was murdered by her abusive husband before he committed suicide and traumatized young Sakuya. She looked at the English teacher, and wrote the note down. "She will be proud, if you have a tutor." She said while writing it down, so she can share the note to her best friend.
During the study break, Mitsuki and Sakuya went to the library to share the notes, mostly for Mitsuki's notes she wrote it down. Sakuya opens the English Notebook and reads it. "Damn, you are way ahead." She commented and looked at her best friends. "I swear, your legal guardian drilled your head to study hard." She said in disbelief that Taiga strictly made Mitsuki study hard. Mitsuki shrugged her shoulders with a smile, she sometimes feels like she's been sheltered by the Head Priest both studies and her duty as Shrine Maiden, but he let her live as a normal girl. "I think he wanted me to attend a good university or something." She said as a guess. "Speaking of Kannushi, what the hell was up with him yesterday? He was like he was scared the shit out of Fenrir when he first met him." Sakuya asked her to set the notebook down and grabbed her own English Notebook with her pencil case. She brought up Taiga's reaction towards Fenrir. Mitsuki frowned to think of Taiga's reaction, she recalled Fenrir mentioned most of the Romanian Orthodox Church followers treated him terribly or scared of him. In Erica's case, she seems to like him. In Mitsuki's case, she finds him intimidated to approach, but he was actually a charming young man. "I might think he has the same reaction as those Romanian Orthodox Church followers." She theorized the possibilities of Taiga's reaction. Sakuya frowned at her friend's theory. "Well screw them and their shitty judgements." She said as she gritted her teeth, she looked at Mitsuki, who was shocked. "No offense to both Shintoism and Buddhism." She added to take back the offense. Mitsuki blinked and softened her look. "No worries Sakuya-chan. I hope Ō-kannushi-dono will warm up to him and realize Fenrir-san isn't that bad." She replied and they all started studying English.
At 1-A, the female math teacher explaining the math problem with her teacher edition textbook, Fenrir take a note. He was bored enough because he knew the answer, but he was thinking of last night conversation with Yosuke. Yosuke was pleased that he made friends with Mitsuki and Sakuya, Fenrir mentioned his first meeting with Taiga and his reaction was scaring him. Yosuke will deal with his friend by himself by saying said not to worry about it, but continue he must do. Fenrir wondered what Yosuke was thinking. "Kiryū-san." The math teacher called him out as Fenrir lifted his head. "Yes?" "Can you come up to the front and answer this question on the board?" She asked him as she tapped her chalk against the board. He looked at the math problem on the chalk board. "You can bring your textbook, if this is confuses you." She offered. Fenrir glanced his predator golden eyes at his teacher, so he picked up this textbook and stand up. "Of course." He said as he curled his lips. A lot of his female classmates were swoon from his charming gestures, while watching him walking towards the front and he picked up the chalk. He reads the textbook, then the math problem on the board. He slowly figured it out by writting the numbers and solve the problem, while ignoring the stares from females. He set the chalk down, the math teacher smiled at the exchange student. "Very good. You may take your seat." She said and Fenrir headed back to his assign seat before he sat down. While his teacher was talking, Fenrir closed his eyes and went to deep thought. "How the hell are you doing to deal with head priest?" He thought about Yosuke, then he start taking a notes again.
Ryō returned to the crime scene with his colleagues to figure out how the white wolf appear, and akuma appeared to kill many monks and priests. He wasn't a real expert on supernatural world, Taiga and Yosuke were on their way. His brown eyes caught on blue hair young man, staring at the crime scene. He frown and approaching him. "This is the crime scene!" He called out as the young man turned around with amused smile towards the police chief. Ryō stopped and examine his appearance. "He looks like a college student." He thought. "My apology, I couldn't help, but curious about this crime scene. Such tragic, I heard about slained monks and priests. Although, I am curious about the white wolf." He said in playful manner. Ryō couldn't help, but notice something familiar about him. "Have we met before?" He asked him to confirm. The young man stared at the chief police and tilting his head to recall. "Maybe or maybe not, but I am overstaying the welcome with humans." He replied and commented on his overstay, this alarms Ryō. "Ryō!" Yosuke's voice called out as Ryō turned around, Yosuke and Taiga had arrived. He turned around, but the blue-haired young man was gone. "Is he a yokai?" He thought uneasily about the blue-haired man. He turned his face back to Taiga and Yosuke. "Good morning you two." He greeted them. Taiga looked at the crime scene, yet still shaken to remember the night and seeing white wolf's bloodlust eyes staring at his soul. "Yosuke, I have been told by my niece about your adopted son. She met him with Mitsuki, it sounded like he gets along with girls." "Speaking of Fenrir, Yosuke-dono does your adopted son's presence terrified you?" Taiga asked Yosuke about Fenrir. Yosuke hummed and collectively thought. "He did when I first met him. I have been told by the head of the orphanage that he never gets along with other children around his age and churches see him as the devil or all of nonsense because of his other half. He always injured children around his age and was angry. Everyone treated him terribly, so I felt sorry for him and decided to adopt him to give him a better life. I even learned he is around the same age as the two girls you two are raising." He replied about Fenrir's background. Taiga recalled Mitsuki from earlier. "So Mitsuki and Sakuya said is true. Do you know his other half, like I said earlier, his presence seems terrifying and I forgot to mention… unholy like." He said, then asked about Fenrir's other half. Yosuke looked alert as he turned his attention to his old friend for a long second. "Like you raised a wolf hanyō." He thought bitterly, but kept it to himself. He slowly takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry, I wish I could tell you, but… it took me like more than a week to get him to trust me when I first learned his other half. I do not want to traumatize him from adults mistreating him. I cannot break his promise, so I will let him wait until the time is right for him to tell his other half." He apologized, and revealed he can't tell them Fenrir's other half due to his mistreatments he had. Ryō raised his eyebrow from Yosuke's explanation. Yosuke looked at Taiga sternly. "You should tell Mitsuki the truth about her mother." He suggested, but Taiga shook his head. "She is not ready!" He protested, claiming she wasn't ready. Yosuke frowned and looked annoyed. "Like when you will tell her? What if that white wolf kills you, and she will never find out what happened to her?" He questioned him. Mentioning white wolf scares Taiga down to his core, he thought of this. He shuts his eyes. "Until I feel ready, and I am afraid she might ask me about her father." He replied, in Yosuke's disbelief and muttered about his friend's fear. Ryō rolled his eyes from their antics. "Enough, both of you!" He raised his voice to crease the argument. Taiga and Yosuke looked at the chief of police, who frowned at them. "Taiga, I agree with Yosuke, Sakuya told me about Fenrir a lot… Her story seems like he is understanding their problem, similar to his." He spoke to Taiga, agreeing with Yosuke and seemingly like Fenrir. Taiga was shocked. "But… But you never met him!" He argued. "That is true, but I am trusting Sakuya's words. I would like to meet him one day." Ryō agreed, but he smiled that he wanted to meet him. Taiga cannot believe this, the chief of police agreed with Yosuke to tell Mitsuki about her birth mother. Yosuke sensed his friend's distress, so he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Ryō, my friend and I will take a private matter in the Temple to find out about the White Wolf to see if he has connections with other yokai, in the meantime… Fenrir needs someone his age to spend time with, I think Mitsuki should come over." He suggested letting Taiga and himself look over the yokai knowledge, while Mitsuki can hang out with Fenrir. Taiga heard Yosuke's suggestion startled him as he broke a cold sweat. He remembers how Fenrir looked at Mitsuki eagerly. "Absolutely not, I will not allow Mitsuki to be alone with Fenrir again!" He protested the idea. Yosuke and Ryō looked at Taiga strangely, they never saw him react like this. Yosuke gave his friend a reassuring smile. "Then, I will tell him to behave, if that is what concerns you." "It is not that. If you see the way he looks at Mitsuki, something isn't right about him." He argued with Yosuke. Yosuke dropped his smile. "My friend, there is no one around his age at my temple. He can just show her around, and maybe study together for school. You are making it sound like you are sheltering her." He said and dismissed his claims. Taiga was reluctant and hesitant, but he held his tongue. Ryō disapprovingly shook his head at Taiga's overprotectiveness on hanyō. Taiga sighed, he can't argue with his friend, since Yosuke has a lot of information. "Very well, I will bring her over. But, only to study and show her around." He agreed to bring Mitsuki over for study, and touring. Leaving Ryō and Yosuke somehow approve.
Not too far from three older men, the blue-haired young man eavesdrops on them at the corner. His lips slowly curled to hear all of the information. "Mitsuki, huh? So you are alive. I should meet her one day." He mumbled, then he walked away from the crime scene.
"That's all for today!" Ms. Emiya called out to all of the Kyudō club members. All of the archers were picking up all of the equipment, and heading to the storage room. Mitsuki was about to enter the storage, but Ms. Emiya called her out. "Kokoromi-san, do you have a moment?" She called her. Mitsuki turned her head towards her culinary teacher, she looked at the storage room for a few minutes, then back to her teacher/faculty advisor. She approaches her. "Yes?" "I know you are going to put all of the equipment away, but the coach hasn't returned from his office. Would you mind looking for him, he hasn't come back to setting up the upcoming practice tournament?" She said in concern and requested her. Mitsuki finds it odd that Coach hasn't come back to his office, but it won't hurt to find him. She smiled at Ms. Emiya. "Sure, I will look for him." She replied. Ms. Emiya smiled back brightly. "Thank you so much Kokoromi-san." She thanked her and left to help the students. Mitsuki looks back. "You're welcome." She replied back. Mitsuki left to start searching for him.
Mitsuki was walking down the hallway, she found the teacher's faculty. Her left hand was about to reach the door handle, but… "Excuse me, are you Kokoromi Mitsuki?" The female voice spoke her name. Mitsuki's hand was halted, and she turned her head to her right and saw a girl in horikawa school uniform with long dark brown hair, also a bit taller than her. She noticed her brown eyes looked empty, like she was depressed. "Yes, do you need something?" She replied out of curiosity. The girl nodded. "It is a private matter, so can you meet me at room 1-C?" She said timidly. Mitsuki looked back at the teacher's faculty, and wanted to look for a coach. "Don't worry, it will be quick." She said to rest assured. Mitsuki looked at the girl, she wanted to return to the club, but she trusted her. So she smiled softly. "Alright." She replied and two female students headed to 1-C, and entered the empty classroom. The girl was heading to the empty desk and sat down on top of the table, while Mitsuki was standing in front of the entrance door. "What do you want to ask me?" "Is it true that you can see the ghosts and you can do the spiritual power?" She asks her quietly. Mitsuki took it back, the girl wanted to confirm her gift she had when she was a child. She usually gets the same reaction from her classmates, they view her creepy and remain in distance before Sakuya comes into the picture. She can't lie, but if the girl had some trouble dealing with yokais or ghosts, she might need her. "Yes, I can see the ghosts clearly." She confirmed. The girl stared at her intensely, her empty brown eyes squinted towards wolf hanyō's face. Her right hand reached underneath her left sleeves. "Your eyes may be silver blue like that wolf daiyokai, but…" She said as her tune of the voice started to change. Mitsuki's sixth sense suddenly hits her as she senses a demonic aura, so her face turns into terror. The girl removed the bracelet, then broke it. Her facial appearance turned into orge. "You have that face of that woman! You must be that damn miko's daughter!" She said in a demonic voice as the skin was torn. Mitsuki gasped in horror and backed away. Right before her pupiless silver blue eyes, she's looking at the red oni. The oni growled and lifted her kabuto and slammed against the desk into pieces. "I will have my revenge!" She roared that drew the entire staff and club members on alert. With that, a terrifying Mitsuki quickly turned around and fled the 1-C with the oni running after her.
Fenrir exits the kendo club, after he finishes changing. Suddenly, he and the rest of the club members heard the roar. "What the hell is that?" One of the female club members asked. He frowned, until one of the students frantically ran towards kendo and judo clubs. "We had to evacuate! Oni is in sight!" He shouted. Fenrir turned his head towards the student, while the club members were beginning to panic. "Fenrir." Sakuya's voice called him out. He turned his head towards her. He was aware of oni, they can be troublesome, but why at Horikawa High School. "Come on Sakuya." He said and led her towards the entrance with the rest of the students. Before those two exits, suddenly they heard Ms. Emiya's voice. "Wait, Kokoromi-san is in the building!" She cried and looked back. Fenrir and Sakuya turn their attention towards Ms. Emiya, Sakuya's eyes widened. The Kyudo Coach arrived as he panted. "Damn that imposter, she tricked me about Kokoromi-san and knocked me unconscious in the bathroom." He grumbled, which Fenrir overhears and widened his golden predator eyes. His eyes shifted to the school, and catched her silhouette running away from the large oni figure. His hypersensitive hearing can hear her heart beating in fear, but she didn't head outside as he put the pieces together, she can't let oni lead to the rest of students. "Shit! Oni was chasing her." He cursed as Sakuya looked at her new friend in panic. "What, Mitsuki is in trouble!" She shouts, and without thinking or waiting for his answer, she darts off to head back to school. She ignores her couch's shouting. Fenrir watched as Sakuya ran back to the building to help Mitsuki, ignoring his couch's words. He ran back to the gym.
Mitsuki didn't want to lead oni towards the entrance, since where the students were. Although, what did her biological mother do to oni? She doesn't know what happened to her, Taiga never told her the aftermath. She ran up the stairs to the entrance of the roof, so she slammed the door open and ran through, followed by the one eyed green female oni with one horn and loincloth covering her bust and waist breaking through the door. Mitsuki realized she was trapped from the tall wired fence, so she turned around in fear. The oni growled and stomped towards her. She backed away. "What did my mother ever do to you?" She asked her. Oni grew angry. "She was a threat because of her high spiritual power. My parents and my older sister tried to kill her. They thought they could easily kill her, but she obliterated them by one scared arrow. I am waiting for the right moment to have my revenge, but I heard she was murdered. However, she bore a hanyō daughter with wolf daiyokai. You shall take her place for that wrenched shrine maiden!" She revealed what biological mother did, and mentioned she was killed. Mitsuki was shell shocked. "My mother was…murdered?" She muttered, why didn't Taiga tell her. She felt numbed, if what the oni said was true about her mother being killed, then what happened to her wolf daiyokai father. "You have silver blue eyes, but a half-breed like you born with both spiritual power and demonic power shouldn't exist!" She shouted and lifted her kabuto upward. She was about to smash her, but suddenly the chair was thrown and hit the oni's head, snapping Mitsuki's numbed thought and the oni stopped moving. The oni turned around to see angry Sakuya. "HEY! WHY DON'T YOU PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE!?" She yelled at the oni. "Pathetic human, you should know your place." She said and swung her kabuto towards Sakuya. She quickly dodged as she screamed. "HOLY SHIT!" She screamed and slipped past the oni to Mitsuki. "Mitsuki, what the hell happened?" She asked her friend. Mitsuki looked at her in shock. "I don't know, but she claimed my mother was murdered and she wanted to kill me for her place." She said an earlier claim. Sakuya double-takes and looks at her friend. "Your mom was murdered?" "You wretched human." The oni voice made two girls turn their attention to oni, getting angrier and angrier. Two girls were hugging each other, now they have nowhere to run. "Killing two women will be satisfying enough, but who is going to save you?" She taunted them and lifted her kabuto up. Mitsuki and Sakuya screamed, while Mitsuki thought of anyone: Taiga, Ryō, then she quickly thought of Fenrir. "FENRIR-SAN!" Her mind screams to pray for him to save them. Suddenly, her sixth sense picked up another presence as her white wolf ears perked up to hear the loud and deep growl. The oni stopped and grew annoyed. "What now, who is-" she said and turned around, then her single eye met the large white wolf walking through the broken door. His glowing red predator eyes with his teeth shown as he menacingly growled. Oni was shocked. "A white wolf?" She said in confusion. Mitsuki and Sakuya slowly opened their eyes, then they glanced at another threat. When they saw a White Wolf, they were both shocked and terrified. The White Wolf spared his glance on oni to two terrified girls, but he refocused on oni as his bloodlust red eyes began to glow to meet Oni's eye. "Planning to kill two little girls, are you?" He said as Mitsuki was startled to hear the deep and demonic voice in her head. Sakuya noticed her best friend's reaction, but she only heard the growl. Oni only scratched her head and looked around. "Who said that? I could care less about that weak human, but I will gladly kill her. But… that wretched wolf hanyō had the same face of that shrine maiden, who killed my family." She asked, and stated her fact for revenge. The White Wolf glanced at two girls, then turned his attention to oni as he roughly scoffed, while Mitsuki looked at him to make sure she wasn't hearing things. "I wouldn't reveal too much information to her." He said as Oni realized it's the large white wolf talking to her in her mind. Mitsuki widens her pupiless silver blue eyes, so she tries to back away because she can only hear him talking, not growling and barking. "Oh my gosh, the white wolf is talking." Mitsuki frantically said as she looked at the white wolf. Sakuya looked at her, while looking at the White Wolf. The White Wolf looked at Mitsuki in shock, Sakuya glanced at her. "Mitsuki, what are you talking about? I only hear growling and barking." She whispered to her, knowing the threatening situation they were in. The White Wolf focused on Mitsuki as he wondered how she could hear him clearly without making eye contact. "... Curious." He said to Mitsuki. "Back off, you beast! She is my target to kill, I will let you kill that human." The oni scowled at White Wolf. White Wolf growled menacingly and to those three surprises, he standed up in two legs towering the oni. "Like hell I will let you harm Mitsuki and Sakuya! Besides…" He said in Oni's mind, while Mitsuki listened to him and blinked. How does he know her and Sakuya's name? The White Wolf grinned sinisterly to show his sharp teeth. "Like Sakuya said, why don't you pick on someone your own fucking size." He said menacingly. Oni felt like death was coming for her as she tried to find the way to escape, the White Wolf's front legs looked human as the black nails were sharper than diamond. He looked at Mitsuki. "Cover your ears and don't look." He told her, as Mitsuki in fear covered her ears and turned around, and forced Sakuya to turn around. "Cover your ears!" She cried as Sakuya frantically covered her ears. Oni was about to grab Mitsuki to take her to another location to kill her, but the White Wolf grabbed her loincloth, and pulled her away. Girls only heard scream, tear, bone cracking, and the fleshly sound of torn, however they can hear the sound of sucking. They were shaken from the sound of violent death, but they wouldn't dare turn around to see a torn corpse. They were shaken, Mitsuki however can hear the footsteps coming closer to her and Sakuya. "Can you hear me Mitsuki?" White Wolf's voice spoke to her. She startled with her eyes open, then she slowly turned around and she was face to face with white wolf as her pupiless silver blue eyes met bloodlust predator eyes, but his brilliant white coat was matted with blood around his mouth, claws, and some around his muscular body. She can smell metallic blood all over him. She can't speak, but the White Wolf snarled at her. "Answer my question!" He shouts impatiently as Mitsuki yelps. "Y-Yes, I can hear you!" She quickly replied in panic. Sakuya turned around, and was startled to see the beast that close. The White Wolf was surprised. "So you can hear me without my eye contact and telepathic. How the hell is that possible?" He said to her, yet questioning himself. "Mitsuki, what the hell is going on?" Sakuya whispered to her, while not leaving her terror eyes away from White Wolf. "He can talk to me, but I don't know how. I have never met him before." Mitsuki whispered to her back. Sakuya knew Mitsuki was correct, she never met White Wolf, but how can she hear him talking to her? "You should forget what she said." He said to her as he demanded her to forget everything oni said. Mitsuki frowned. "She said my mother was murdered, why didn't I know about her death." She protested, but she had a right to know about her biological mother's death. Sakuya stared at her friend in shock. "Your mom was murdered?" She said in a stunning tone. "Stay out of it, I will know if you even make one fucking word about your mother! If you do, there will be consequences." He warned her as he snapped at Sakuya by barking and she yelped in fear. Mitsuki screamed and hugged her best friend. "No! I… I promise I won't bring up the topic about my mother, please don't hurt Sakuya-chan!" She begged him, yet made a promise. The white wolf looked at her for a brief second. His lips made it look like a smirk. "You better keep that promise, since you and Sakuya learn about your mother's murder, you will keep it quiet, that includes how you can hear me. Remember, I will be watching you and Sakuya. You cannot hide or escape from me." He said before he turned around, and hopped off the school rooftop. Mitsuki lets go of Sakuya, and collects every thought of her discovery: She can only hear the White Wolf speaking, her biological mother was murdered, and how does the White Wolf know her and Sakuya's name. Sakuya, on the other hand, was terrified, yet shocked that Mitsuki can only hear the White Wolf and learned Mitsuki's missing mother turned out to be murdered. She looked at Mitsuki, fearing the worst. "Hey, could that mean… your dad might be-" "I don't know if my father is dead. I am doubting Ō-kannushi-dono knows anything about my biological father, except I only know he is yokai." Mitsuki cuts her off as she looks at her, she doesn't know anything about her biological father because Taiga never told her. "We can't tell Ō-kannushi-dono, your family, or Fenrir-san about this. Even about my biological mother's murder." She added, in fear for others safety from White Wolf's murderous intention. Sakuya was about to argue, but she remembered White Wolf nearly bites her face as a sign of the threat. "Right, but you and I need to find out what exactly happened to your mom since she left you. And find out why you can hear him." Sakuya agreed and suggested investigating this mystery. Mitsuki nodded, she wanted to know why her mother left her and ended up murdered, and why Taiga didn't tell her. She and Sakuya looked towards the carcass of Oni, they began to feel sick as bile was reaching up to their throat. "Sakuya! Mitsuki!" The familiar deep romanian accent voice called out as two terrified girls looked up, and saw Fenrir ran through the destroyed door with a bamboo sword. He stopped and gasped to see the carcassed of Oni. He was unfazed, but he refocused on girls. He approached them, and kneeled down as his golden predator eyes scanned ups and down to make sure they weren't hurt. "Are you two okay? What the hell happened?" He asked them, but Mitsuki and Sakuya hugged him as he nearly fell backward. Mitsuki starts to cry as she sobbed in fear, Fenrir can sense her fear as for Sakuya, she wasn't crying, but she was terrified. "Fenrir-san, we are so scared." Mitsuki sobbed and hugged him tighter. Sakuya hides her face against his torso. "The White Wolf appeared and mauled the Oni, but he didn't attack us after observing us before he left." She said quietly, yet trembled. She and Mitsuki didn't want to lie to their male friend, but they both feared for his life, especially when Mitsuki clearly remembered White Wolf said he would be watching her. Fenrir remained quiet, but he slowly hugged his two new friends. "... I am glad you two are safe. I'm sorry, I didn't make it to save you from White Wolf." He whispered to them and sooth them. Sakuya slowly released from the hug, Fenrir gets her message as he releases her. Mitsuki didn't as Fenrir only hugged her and placed his hand on her head to pet her, while letting her cry on his torso.
Finally finish this chapter. I had a major or massive writing block, but I tried to brainstorm the idea, so two main heroines finally met the White Wolf and discovered Mitsuki can only hear him clearly, without him making the glowing eye contact and telepathic. Major discovery was that Mitsuki's biological mother was murdered, however Taiga never said anything about murder. Question was: why keep her in the dark? Also Mitsuki's father was unknown if he was alive or not.
I will continue to work on a new chapter, while brainstorming the idea without revealing who is the White Wolf or Mitsuki's origin. See you soon
