Soon they are joined by Tyson, who has a chicken burger and a Raspberry and Lemonade.
"Hey, Kyle." Tyson grins as he sits next to Kyle.
"Hey Ty. This is Heath and Casey, and you've already met Brax." Kyle says as he points to his brothers.
"Hey guys. I'm Tyson." Tyson introduces himself, and all of Kyle's brothers smile at him.
"How long have you been working here Ty?" Kyle asks as he sips beer.
"Two years. I'm loving it. Yabbie Creeks great." Tyson says. "Bit different than Melbourne aye Kyle." Tyson says causing Kyle to chuckle.
"Yeah a bit less intense, but I actually live in Summer Bay, which is even more low-key," Kyle says causing Tyson to nod.
"I'm heading back for the reunion, I'll tell you how it is." Tyson says taking a big bite of his burger.
"I'm going." Kyle says. This causes Tyson to nearly choke on his burger.
"Really? It took my girlfriend ages to convince me to go and you went through much more hell than I did." Tyson says shocked.
Kyle's brothers look at him, unsure of how their brother will react.
"Well. I want to prove to them that they didn't break me, that I'm not the same nerdy loser that they always pushed around, plus I've grown and I've got a girlfriend." Kyle says causing Tyson to nod.
"I'm the same. I bet they're all fat and bald anyway." Tyson says causing Kyle to smirk.
"Trents not." He says simply, this causes Tyson to look shocked.
"You saw Trent?" Tyson says shocked causing Kyle to nod.
"He was a loser." Heath huffs as he takes a big sip of beer.
"Did he wedgie you?" Tyson asks. This causes Kyle to chuckle.
"Na, he apologised for everything he put me through. I'm assuming he'll probably do the same for you when he sees you." Kyle says.
Tyson shrugs. "Out of the bullies, he definitely wasn't the worst, but he still sucked." He says, causing Kyle to nod.
"Yeah, definitely. But I concluded that everyone deserves a second chance. Plus he's dating my best friend so I trust her judgments ." Kyle explains.
"I still think he sucks." Heath huffs, causing Kyle to roll his eyes.
"I like him." Casey says, remembering how Trent had bought him food and beer.
"That's cause he bought you food and beer." Brax points out rolling his eyes.
"And he was really cool with Kyle. He wasn't anywhere close to a jerk once." Casey explains.
"Too bad he couldn't be like that in high school." Tyson smirks. Kyle looks at him and smiles
"Yeah nine years earlier would have been nice." Kyle says.
Kyle decides to change the subject, he can see his brothers are getting frustrated, and he knows how protective they are of him.
"So is your girlfriend a local or from Melbourne?" Kyle asks. He wonders if she went to their school.
"She went to our school, but is a couple of years younger. She's Libby Fisher's little sister." Tyson says causing Kyle to smile.
"Amy right?" Kyle asks causing Tyson to nod. "Nice girl, I remember her from the robotics club." Kyle says causing Heath to choke on his beer with laughter. Kyle turns to glare at him.
"Yeah I was in the robotics club, I found it interesting. Got a problem with that? It's where I met Tyson." Kyle says causing Heath to smirk.
"Was it also where you got your first wedgie?" Heath chuckles, Kyle rolls his eyes and turns back to Tyson. Brax punches Heath on the arm and glares at him.
"What about you man? You said that you've got a girl, what is she like?" Tyson asks. Kyle smiles at his friend and blushes slightly.
"Yeah, Tamara. She's gorgeous." Kyle says and smiles broadly.
"Yeah, Kylie's punching above his weight." Casey says smirking as he takes a sip of beer.
Kyle glares at his brother and then back to Tyson, who is giving him a weird look. "What?" He questions, laughing at his friend's face.
"He called you Kylie… you don't mind?" Tyson questions, he thought after what Kyle went through in high school he hated that nickname.
Kyle shrugs lightly. "It's different with the boys, it's all playful banter."
"I guess I can relate to that. I mean my brother teases me up all the time, but I've always loved him." Tyson laughs. Kyle smirks, he definitely gets that.
"Little brothers deserve to be teased and tormented." Heath smirks only to be punched again by Brax.
"Ow!" Heath moans, he grabs ahold of his arm and glares at his brother. Was that really necessary?
"Yeah, when Heath was six I stole his favourite teddy and told him that I would only tell him where it was if he was my slave for a whole day. You couldn't imagine that stuff I made him do, I then made him wait a week for his teddy." Brax chuckles. "It was a Donald Duck teddy, or as Heath used to say Wonald Wuck." Brax says, this causes both Kyle and Casey to choke slightly on their beers and Tyson to smirk.
"Oi! Why'd you say that?" Heath protests. He doesn't get why his brother had to embarrass him like that.
"You're my little brother. Didn't you say little brothers deserve to be teased and tormented?" Brax asks. Heath glares at him.
"Yeah but not me. You're only two years older than me, these two are babies!" Heath huffs.
Casey and Kyle smirk at each other and decide to have some fun.
"Awwwww is poor little Heathie upset." Kyle teases causing Heath to glare at him.
"Poor wittle Heathie is wheely wheely upset." Casey joins in. Tyson grins. He's so happy to see his friends joking around with his brothers, especially as he didn't really have anyone when he was a kid.
"You two are dead! I'll get you back, you won't even see it coming." Heath hisses. This causes his brothers to smirk. They know that Heath won't really hurt them, besides Brax wouldn't let him.
"You're sooo scary!" Casey teased.
"Yeah I'm quaking in my boots. Can I hold your Wonald Wuck?" Kyle questions. Heath glares at him harder.
"You're so dead Kylie, you just wait." He hisses.
Brax can't help but smirk. "Alright you lot, behave." He says, he doesn't want World War Three happening over a couple of beers.
Tyson looks at his watch. "Anyways man, I'm going to go and quickly finish my lunch. I'll leave you guys to it. See you at the reunion," Tyson says as he and Kyle hug each other goodbye.
"Can I get your number man, so we can keep in touch?" Kyle asks causing Tyson to nod.
"No worries man, it'll be good to finally keep in touch after all these years." Tyson says and puts his number in Kyle's phone. "Since I finally know that you're here, maybe we can finally catch up."
Kyle nods. "Sounds good, one time you can come to Brax's restaurant, that's where I work." Kyle says causing Tyson to smile.
"Sounds good."
Tyson walks away and Kyle turns back to his brothers.
"He seems nice." Casey says then drinks some more beer.
"Yeah he is. I'm glad I saw him. I've missed him." Kyle says. Heath grins widely at him.
"Awww, isn't that cute, you've missed your best friend." Heath smirks. Kyle glares at him.
"Shut up Heath." all three of the boys say to their brother.
Kyle clears his throat. "Anyways, boys some time soon you'll be able to know if you're having a niece or a nephew." Kyle says causing the boys to smile.
"You're going to find out?" Casey asks.
"Yeah. Tams mum wants to know the gender so she can make Bubbie a special blanket. So since this is her first chance, we are happy to give her the opportunity." Kyle says. The boys nod their heads.
"If it's a boy. I'll teach him to surf." Heath grins, all three brothers turn to him.
"Who says you can't teach a girl? Ricky surfs." Brax exclaims.
Casey nods in agreement. "Yeah if she's a girl, she'll love surfing."
Kyle furrows his eyebrows. "Who says my kid has to surf? I don't." He argues. He doesn't get why his brothers make such a big deal about surfing.
"Don't be a baby! Your kid shouldn't be punished because you're too much of a wimp to surf." Heath huffs.
Casey and Brax roll their eyes, these two get along so well, but they always bicker.
"I'm not a wimp." Kyle argues.
"Well why don't you surf then?" Heath challenges his little brother.
"Because I don't want to. You know Heath, you don't read, I never call you stupid." Kyle argues. This causes both Brax and Casey to look at Heath and give him a look. Kyle's got a point.
Heath looks as though he wants to argue with his little brother, but after that argument, he can't. "Fine." He retreats.
Kyle smirks lightly. "Look, if Bubbie wants to surf, you guys can absolutely teach him or her. But only when they approach you. I don't want you badgering my kid." Kyle says, this causes his brothers to nod, that's fair enough.
"All right boys, let's get on it!" Heath yells. He quickly chugs down the rest of his beer.
…
Kyle wakes up the next morning on the floor with a blanket over him and a cushion under his head. "Arghh." He groans as he opens his eyes and he immediately grabs his head. He looks up to see Casey lying on the couch.
Kyle pushes himself up and groans as he stretches his legs. He walks outside to see Heath asleep on the outside couch and Brax on the hammock. He guesses all the boys were told not to sleep with their partners. He then walks over to his room and quietly opens the door to see it empty.
Kyle furrows his eyebrows and walks to the flat. He sees all four girls sitting around the kitchen bar.
"Morning baby! How's the head?" Tamara asks. All the girls laugh as Kyle grabs his head and approaches Tamara.
"Bit sore. Heath practicality fed me shots. I don't even remember coming home."
"Well we heard you. Then we came out to see you and you and Case were out to it! I had to put a cushion under your head and a blanket over you. You didn't even budge." Tamara laughs. Her boyfriend was out to it.
Kyle smiles at his girlfriend. "Thanks, babe." He leans down and kisses her cheek.
"My pleasure." Tamara smiles and wraps her arms around Kyle's neck and kisses him.
"You guys are cute and all, but you remember that we are here don't you?" Denny asks causing the two to pull apart. They had honestly forgotten that they were there.
"Did you tell the girls the news?" Kyle asks. He can't remember too much from the night before. But he remembers seeing Tyson and telling the boys that they were going to find out the gender.
"Yeah I did. They're excited. How about the boys?" Tamara questions.
"Yeah they're happy for us." Kyle smiles as he wraps his arms around Tamara.
Just then the door opens and the rest of his brothers stumble in. "Stupid alcohol! I swear I'm never drinking again." Heath huffs as he goes to Bianca and kisses her. Brax then kisses Ricky and Casey kisses Denny.
"How about we treat our boys to a breakfast in the Diner?" Tamara suggests causing the girls to nod.
"Sounds good. Or else they'll be unbearable!" Ricky agrees. The boys would like to argue, but a feed from the Diner sounds good.
