Kyle and Tamara have finished their lunch and are walking up to the bar to pay.

Kyle hands over his card and pays for their meal. The two of them then make their way out.

Suddenly Kyle feels a hand on his shoulder and he's pulled back. He's turned around roughly and faces his old high school bullies.

"No way! It is him!" Phoebe says.

"Little KyQ all grown up," Vince says sneering down at Kyle. Kyle's shoulders slump, Vince and the twins tower over him and he definitely isn't short. There's no way he can stop them from picking on him again.

Tamara glares at them. "Leave him alone." She hisses. She pulls her boyfriend's arm to get him away from his bullies.

"Hold on, we haven't finished catching up," Ryder smirks.

"I know Ryder. I've missed KyQ. We need more than one minute with him." Corey laughs.

Kyle continues to look at his feet. He doesn't know what to do.

"Oi back off." He hears from behind him, Kyle turns around and sees Trent and Mac.

"Trent seriously! You're hanging out with this loser! Why?" Phoebe questions.

"Yeah!" Bekka adds smirking.

"Get behind me, Kyle," Trent says pulling Kyle away and standing in front of him. Kyle stays behind him without any argument. "Look I've grown up. Maybe you should as well."

"Still doesn't mean you have to hang out with that geek!" Harriet sneers.

Tamara's blood boils. What's these people's problem? They're awful!

"Oi! You leave my boyfriend alone!" Tamara says glaring at all the bullies.

"Awww look! KyQ's got a little girlfriend. Man, you must be desperate!" Ryder laughs.

Kyle's shoulder slumped further. How did he think he could go to this reunion?

"Back off!" Trent snarls.

"Whatever Trent. You want to hang out with that loser, go ahead." Vince laughs. "You've changed man. You used to be cool! Now you're hanging out with dorks!"

The bullies all walk away but not before giving Kyle a rude look.

Kyle sighs lightly and looks at Trent. "Thanks."

"Don't worry about it. Mac and I are just picking up a pizza." He says as Mac walks up to the bar and gets their order.

"No seriously. I wouldn't have been surprised if I ended up with a wedgie." Kyle says and runs his hands through his hair.

Trent shakes his head lightly. "I can't believe I used to be friends with those jerks." He says. Kyle quickly looks over his shoulder. Just making sure that all his other high school bullies have left.

"Yeah, they're arseholes. How can I face them at the reunion?" Kyle says sighing loudly.

"Just remember they're the ones with the problem, not you," Trent says causing Kyle to taste his eyebrows.

"Yeah, that's going to help knowing when they're beating me up," Kyle says causing Trent to shake his head.

"Na. I won't let them." He says.

Kyle looks at Trent and smiles lightly. "Seriously, why couldn't you have been like this back in high school."

"I guess I had to grow up a bit," Trent says as Mac returns with the pizza.

"We were going to take this back home, you guys coming?" Mac asks. This causes Kyle to shake his head.

"Na I want to take Tamara to my old house and to where Mum is," Kyle says. This causes Mac to smile lightly.

"Okay, look after him won't you Tam," Mac says causing Kyle to smile at her and then at Tamara.

"Of course," Tamara says as she squeezes Kyle's hand. "See you guys later."

Kyle and Tamara drive up to Kyle's old house. "So this is where I lived with Mum, you see that pole there, I bumped into that while riding my bike," Kyle says pointing at a post near his house.

Tamara laughs and smiles at her boyfriend.

"Oh yeah babe, you're dating an athlete." Kyle grins. He points at a tree at the front of his old house.

"You see that tree?" Kyle asks causing Tamara to nod. "Yeah! Did you bump into that as well, while walking?" Tamara asks smirking at her boyfriend.

"No," Kyle responds jabbing Tamara lightly in the ribs. "That was my favourite place to read," Kyle says. "I loved this house, it was the only safe place I had while I was a kid," Kyle adds sadly.

Tamara rubs Kyle's arm. "You're not that little kid anymore Kyle and you have three brothers who will personally batter anyone who messes with you." Tamara laughs. "Plus you've also got Andy who would probably help them."

Kyle rolls his eyes but smiles. "Yep and then they'll all tease me and beat me up."

"It's brotherly love." Tamara laughs.

"Although they are beating me up less after they found out I was bullied as a kid. So that's something." Kyle laughs, he then looks at his hands.

"I wonder who lives there now?" Kyle asks as he looks up at his old house.

"Let's go look," Tamara says and quickly gets out of the car.

"Tamara, wait," Kyle says as he quickly follows her. "Tamara we can't just knock on the door and say 'hi I used to live here.'l Kyle says.

"Yeah you can tell them 'I used to read under that tree there, it was my favourite spot.'" Tamara mocks.

"Hey! I told you that in confidence." Kyle says as Tamara knocks on the door. "Tamara!" Kyle complains.

After a while no one answers. "No one is there, oh well." Kyle says and tries to walk away only to stop when the door opens.

He turns back and sees someone recognizes "Libby." He says and smiles lightly at her.

"Oh my god! Kyle! Hi," Libby says.

"Hey." Kyle says as he indicates to Tamara. "This is my girlfriend Tamara."

"Hey, so you're the girl lucky enough to date Kyle." Libby says as she gives Tamara a hug.

Just then Cedric, Libby's husband comes up behind her. "Hey Kyle. What brings you here?" Cedric asks.

"I used to live here, with my mum." Kyle says.

"Oh wow! Small world. So the small room right next to the bathroom, that was yours?" Libby asks.

"Yeah, that was mine." Kyle nods his head.

"Would you like to come in and have a look around?" Libby asks.

Kyle pauses. The last time he was in the house was his 14th birthday and he had just got back from an awful day at school. It only got worse when he found his mum on the couch, she had passed away.

Tamara squezzes his hand and smiles at him.

"Yeah, that would be great thanks." Kyle says as they enter the house.

"We are turning your old room into a nursery." Cedric says as they walk through the house.

"Wow! How far along are you?" Tamara asks.

"Three months."

"How exciting! We're just over three months." Tamara says.

"Oh wow! Do you know what you're having?" Libby questions.

"Twins. One boy one girl." Kyle says proudly, he's so excited to meet his kids. "You guys?" He questions.

"A boy." Cedric says. Kyle nods his head smiling.

"You know Kyle I'm so happy you found someone perfect for you. You were always so sweet in high school. I just didn't have feelings for you like that. But I knew one day someone would." Libby smiles as she grabs Cedric's hand.

"Thanks Libby." Kyle replies.

"Have you seen any of those dickheads?" Cedric asks causing Libby to hit him but smile lightly as if she agreed with him.

"Yeah I mean Trent is dating my best friend but he no longer seems like a dickhead and just before I saw Vince, Ryder, Corey, Phoebe, Bekka and Harriet in a restaurant they're all still awful. Haven't run into Lewis, Katie and Anne yet. But they were more followers than anything else. It's mainly the six big ones that are bothering me the most." Kyle says.

Cedric and Libby nod. "They were awful to you." Cedric sighs. "I know a lot of people wanted to stop them, but they were scared of the backlash." Cedric admits.

Kyle raises his eyebrows. "Yeah I get that. Same reason I never told on them." Kyle admits.

"So Kyle, where'd you disappear to after high school?" Libby asks. She hasn't seen or heard from Kyle since the last day of school.

"Summer Bay. I live there with my half brothers." Kyle says causing Libby and Cedric to look shocked.

"You have brothers?"

"Yeah Casey's a little younger than me and Heath and Brax are quite a bit older. Heath is 27 Brax is 30. Case is 19." Kyle says.

"You get on well with them?" Libby questions.

"Yeah I do, they can be annoying though. They have 22 years of embarrassing me to catch up on." Kyle laughs. Tamara smiles in agreement.

"Anyway do you want to see your old room?" Libby asks. Kyle suddenly stops laughing. He had been distracted but now that's finished.

"Ummm okay yeah, let's do this." Kyke says as he squeezes onto Tamara's hand they walked down the hallway and enter Kyle's old room.

"Wow, my height markings are still here." Kyle says shocked, he's surprised as this house must of had previous owners before Libby and Cedric.

"Wow! They're yours? Funny. We're going to paint over those next week. I'm glad that we found out who they belonged to before we did." Libby says.

Tamara looks at the markings and can't help but smile. "Wow! You really were short."

"Rich!" Kyle states, this causes Tamara to laugh.

"I'm just surprised baby, as you're so tall and strong now." Tamara laughs.

"Yeah yeah." Kyle laughs. He looks around the rest of the room, the curtains and carpet are the same as they were when he lived there.

"This is so cool, I hope your son enjoys it in here as much as I used to. I used to hang my duvet up on those hooks and I'd make myself a little tent." Kyle explains.

Tamara looks at her boyfriend. She smiles at him. It's nice to hear about the good parts of his childhood.

"Anyway. I still want to show Tamara some more of Melbourne so we might head off." Kyle says smiling at Libby and Cedric.

"Sounds good." Libby says as she gives Kyle a small hug. "See you at the reunion." She says.

Kyle and Tamara walk out of the house and back to the jeep.

"Well that was nice." Tamara says causing Kyle to smile.

"Yeah. Libby was the sweetest girl that went my school. Never called me names and did try to stop the bullying. So did Cedric. But they were outnumbered and they knew that the bullies would have only come at me harder if they told." Kyle explains.

"I'm sorry you had such a tough time in high school. You didn't deserve that baby." Tamara says. Kyle smiles at her and kisses her on the cheek.

"It happened. What's important now is for me to try and move forward." Kyle says. Tamara smiles at her boyfriend.

"And you're sure you don't want me to call your brothers to beat them up." Tamara suggests.

"Yeah don't call them, they'll just name a big deal about it. " Kyle says This causes Tamara to roll her eyes.

"It is a big deal Kyle. They're jerks!" Tamara says.

"They are also huge. I don't want this turning into a big old fight, look Trent will be there with me, so I'll be fine." Kyle says.

Tamara raises her eyebrow.

"Look I'm fine okay, Now let's go." Kyle says. "I'll show where my Mum is, then you and I can go to the bowling alley I would always go to." Kyle says.
