Chapter 2: A Royal Idea
Agent BM: Thx
Qoheleth: Actually, Honey Potts is my own OC. She used to be a Wreck-it Ralph OC, but lately she's more of own character. So that's why I put her here.
The next morning, King Trevor's sister and nephew arrived at the palace. A bright and shiny black Cadillac car pulled in front of the entrance, and a chauffeur stepped out and opened the passenger door.
First Duchess Beatrice Potts stepped out. She had light skin, short brown hair, and blue eyes. She wore a purple gown with short sleeves, matching purple heels, and light purple opera gloves. She also wore a small golden crown, diamond earrings and necklace.
Then her son, Duke Dylan came out of the car. His skin was light, he had blue eyes, and black hair that had blue highlights. He wore a blue suit, with black sneakers, and also a silver nose ring.
"Bea, so good to see you." said Trevor.
"Trevor, little brother. Nice to see you too." Bea replied.
And the two hugged.
"Hi, Wanda. Honey."
"Hello, Bea."
"Hi, Aunt Bea."
The three hugged.
"Hi, Uncle Trevor." Dylan said simply.
"Dylan, how're you, son?"
"Fine."
"Nice to see you again." Wanda told him.
"Hi, Aunt Wanda."
Then he looked at Honey.
"Hi, Honey." he told her in a uninterested tone.
"Hello, Dylan." Honey replied in a similar tone.
For the rest of the day while the adults talked and dealt with important matters, Honey and Dylan did their own thing. Dylan watched TV, while Honey and her bees read books. While she was reading, she suddenly felt something on her shoulder.
"Guys, is that you?" she asked.
"No, we're on your head." Buzz told her.
"Then what's...?"
She slowly turned her head, and saw a big black spider. Honey shrieked, jumped up, and dropped her book. The spider fell to the floor, and Honey and her bees realized it was a fake spider. Then they heard laughing.
Dylan peeked out from behind a shelf.
"Dylan." Honey growled.
"What's wrong, Honey? I thought you liked having bugs around you." he asked.
And he walked off laughing again.
"What a pain that guy is." said Bumble.
"He'll be feeling a big pain if he tries something like that again." Stinger threatened, sticking out his stinger.
"Don't worry, guys. He'll be gone soon enough." Honey told her bees.
At lunch, the family gathered together in the dining room. As the adults talked, Honey was in her own thoughts as she ate her sandwich. She thought more about the lives of regular teenagers, and what it would be like to be one of them.
Suddenly, she was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of her aunt's voice.
"What?" she asked.
"I asked what have you been up to, Honey?"
"Oh, nothing much Aunt Bea."
"Too busy daydreaming?" Dylan sneered.
Honey glared at her cousin, and went back to eating her food.
Back up in her room, Honey was working at her desk on some homework assignments.
"And that takes care of my math and history."
Just then, the door burst open to reveal Dylan. Honey jumped in surprised.
"Hey, Honey." Dylan greeted.
"Dylan, haven't you ever heard of knocking? What if I'd been changing?" Honey snapped at him.
"Then I would've gone as blind as you are."
Honey rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Well what do you want?"
"My mom and I are getting ready to go."
"Goodbye Dylan."
And then she walked out of her room.
"Where are you going?"
"To say goodbye to Aunt Bea. Just because I'm happy to see you leaving doesn't mean I didn't enjoy seeing Aunt Bea."
As they walked down the hallway, they were silent. And then, Dylan spoke up.
"You know, Honey if you really want to leave the palace for a day why don't you just ask your parents?" Honey looked surprised.
"You know about that?"
"Well duh. I've seen how you stare out the city on your balcony, and it doesn't take a genius to put two and two together."
Honey was a little taken aback, she hadn't expected that from her cousin. When the two got to the foyer, her parents and Bea were there waiting for them.
"Bye Aunt Bea." Honey said, hugging her aunt.
"Goodbye, Honey. You take care now." Bea told her.
And then, Bea and Dylan left the palace.
That night, as Honey lied in bed she kept thinking about Dylan's words. Should she really just ask her parents if she could leave the palace for a while? The next morning, after her lessons and getting her bees she told them what she was going to do.
"So you're actually going to ask them about leaving the palace?" asked Buzz.
"Yeah, I mean what's the worst that could happen?" Honey replied.
"I can't believe Dylan actually encouraged you to do this." Stinger told her.
"I suppose even Dylan can have good ideas sometimes." Bumble mentioned.
"Well, here goes nothing." Honey said.
And with that, Honey went to the throne room with her bees following her.
Her parents sat on their thrones, going over paperwork and speaking with their advisors.
"Mom, Dad, there's something I need to talk to you about." Honey said, as she came into the room.
Trevor and Wanda asked their staff to give them a moment, and the advisors left.
"What's going on, Honey?" asked Trevor.
"(Sighs), listen there's something I've been wanting to tell you but I didn't know how."
"You can tell us, sweetheart." Wanda told her.
"Mom, Dad I...I want to leave the palace for a while."
Hearing that stunned Trevor and Wanda.
"Leave? And go where?" Trevor wanted to know.
"I just want to know what'd it be like to be regular teen living here in the capital city."
"I don't know, even if we disguised you what if someone were to discover your identity? You could put yourself in danger." Wanda mentioned.
"But there hasn't been any threats in years."
"There have been whispers. Stuff you don't need to be concerned about yet." Trevor said.
"Mom, Dad please. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I'd just like to know how an ordinary teenager lives. And it's kinda lonely in this palace." Honey pleaded.
"But where would you go?"
"To a school in the city. I'm sure there's a nice little apartment or something I could stay at. Please."
Trevor and Wanda looked at each other.
"Well, we'll have to discuss this more before anything happens." Trevor replied.
"Okay, Dad."
And with that, Honey left the room.
"Well that went well." Stinger said, sarcastically.
"Stinger." Bumble told him sternly.
"Well they didn't exactly say "no", Honey. They just have to talk about it." Buzz comforted.
"I just hope they're open minded." Honey replied quietly.
That evening at dinner, Honey was quiet and so were her parents. And then finally, Trevor spoke up.
"Honey, your mother and I have been talking..."
"Yes, Dad?"
"While we don't completely agree with your choice to leave the palace, we can see why you'd like to do it."
Honey's eyes grew wide with hope.
"We've decided that you'll be allowed to live outside the palace, but no longer than two months." Wanda told her.
"And who knows, maybe living among the people for a while will help you become a better queen."
Honey was so excited, she jumped up from her seat, and pulled her parents into a hug.
"Thank you, thank you Mom and Dad." she said.
Trevor and Wanda smiled and hugged their daughter back.
"We'll go over details in the morning." Trevor told her.
That's chapter 2
