3- Monster Zero.

While Team Avatar and their allies of Monarch were on Castle Bravo trying to figure out a way to locate the Orca, and with it Emma, Madison, Sokka and Suki so they could rescue them from their captors, these were alongside Alan Jonah and his troops aboard a stolen Osprey of Monarch, with the detail that everyone there inside was wearing a coat and the white ones Jonah's ecoterrorists wore were some ones similar to the ones of Monarch's crew. Their current route leaded them flying back toward the icy lands of Sokka and Katara's native homeland: the South Pole, but they were above and very far from the Southern Water Tribe territories, and so was their destination at the time of nightfall and when a light and weak blizzard covered most of the tundra and snow-covered mountains. Inside the stolen vehicle Suki and Sokka stood close by Madison and her mother to ensure their safety against Jonah's mercenaries, watching them closely distrustfully, the same as they to them despite the place being only illuminated by a weak red light. Sokka and Suki allowed themselves to be captured in order to ensure their new friend Maddie and her mother's safety and keep an eye on their captors, maybe even uncover their evil intentions before coming up with a way to tell their team and Monarch so they could stop them.

"Don't worry, Maddie. Everything will be alright." Suki said to Madison, trying to help Emma calming down her daughter.

"It would be more helpful if we knew where we're going. Of course there's no way that these guys are gonna tell us even if we asked them please." Sokka responded all that loud sarcastically as he crossed his arms, like if he wanted everyone there to hear him. Emma looked at him with a stunned face, like she was saying 'what are you doing?' but he winked at them smiling, which left her and Maddie more confused, but Suki realized what he was trying to do.

"We hear you loud and clear, Sokka." Jonah responded calmly turning at him, like he didn't care of that sarcastic comment. "I have my manners too."

"It's Mr. Sokka of the Water Tribe for you, mister." The teenage warrior boy answered at him annoyed, not liking to hear the man call him by his name.

"Alright, Mr. Sokka. As for your broader request we're having our next stop on the South Pole."

That answer got the attention of the non-bender couple, mostly Sokka as he got alarmed of hearing they're heading at the land of his people.

"What do you and your pals intend to find in the Southern Water Tribe?" Suki demanded at Jonah.

"I haven't said that was our destination." Jonah replied before smirking, leaving the teenagers confused until they realized such words.

"Monarch." Sokka said, with Jonah nodding before turning his head at where it looked firstly.

"Outpost 32, this is Raptor Five, on approach with reinforcements and supplies. Request permission to land." The pilot reported by radio contacting with possibly another Monarch outpost. Obviously a lie. "Serizawa has all sites on high alert, so transmitting emergency codes now."

"Copy that, Raptor Five. Codes are good. Nice to have you." A female voice, one that belonged to said Monarch outpost control responded back, with no idea they were talking to the bad guys and allowing them to land on their own doorsteps. That was the signal for Jonah's troops to prepare themselves for their arrival, as they would probably launch themselves into another fight.

"Oh no." Sokka lamented softly.

"Sokka, you…do you knew that…?" His girlfriend asked, making him to turn at her.

"No, I…I never thought they would have an outpost here. Not so close to home." He said in disbelief.

South Pole. Monarch Outpost 32.

It really was another outpost of Monarch. This one was established very far from the territories of the Southern Water Tribe in order to hide whatever they managed to find there, out from the eyes of the people of the Water Tribe. That was the good thing. Once the Osprey landed a few meters in front of the outpost entrance, which was visible thanks to a pair of big spotlights a group of troops of Monarch began approaching to receive the newcomers…or to check out if they were really who they said to be.

Seeing that they landed already Alan Jonah got up first. "Go." He said, making his soldiers to get up and walk out the vessel one by one in formation.

"So now you're going to take down everyone from this site like you did at the other one?" Sokka guessed, making Jonah to turn at him.

"Please, don't think it wrong, young boy. We did not strike anyone down when we invited you to join us. We simply knocked them down and left them there." Jonah replied. "We only need to capture the ones from here, just for now."

"Yeah right." Sokka said sarcastically.

"You really expect us to believe anything from you?" Suki said, as both she and her boyfriend didn't believed anything he said.

"Well, you've your right to believe it or not. But we people are not savages unlike others, like the Fire Nation." Jonah responded before following his troops, leaving the teenage pair intrigued by such answer. "You stay here and keep an eye on our guests." He ordered to a few of his soldiers to watch the teenager warriors.

Outside Jonah's forces acted like they were transporting some supply containers toward the entrance of the base, like if they following standard protocols in order to fool the guards. But suddenly a lot of noise was heard coming above: the unmistakable noises of a huge fight. Screams, yelling and sounds of bending of every type (minus airbending) coming from outside, making Madison to close her eyes and not to think of anything bad happening out the vehicle, but she couldn't avoid it. Her mother realized that and got herself close to her daughter to comfort her the best she could.

"I'm scared." Madison confessed.

"I know. Me too." Emma said hugging her daughter.

"Don't worry, Maddie. We're not going to let anything happen to you." Sokka assured with Suki nodding at them too.

Then they saw Jonah returning but Sokka and Suki put themselves in front of Emma and Madison, warning him and his mercenaries to not get any closer.

"Okay. Let's go. Everyone." Jonah ordered.

"Alright, we'll do it your way. For now." Suki warned, although Jonah didn't seem to take it seriously.

And so Jonah walked toward the outpost followed by the teenage non-bender pair and Emma, who grabbed Madison by her hand and close to her and the suitcase which contained the Orca on the other hand while the last troops went behind them while the remaining mercenaries took all the captured ones inside the facility to some place.

"Eyes straight ahead. Deep breaths. Just like we talked about." Emma advised to her daughter. That Sokka found it strange, highly strange, even if it looked like something to calm down Madison.

The group was escorted through the slightly illuminated corridors of the facility until reaching one of the elevators and got inside it. While they descended into the lower levels of the complex everything was very quiet, not a single sound except the elevator. Jonah seemed to be cleaning his cheek with his gloved hand when he noticed Madison looking at him. He moved his hand up in front of his face before showing a smile on face, with Madison responding at him by sticking out her tongue at him like some sort of defiance and/or as offense sign besides her frowned face. Despite that Jonah found it hilarious and next turned at where Sokka and Suki stood looking at him with frowned faces, with the son of the chief of the Water Tribe throwing a two-fingered 'I'm watching you' gesture at him, with Madison smiling at it, being the one who found that funny but mostly seeing them supporting her and against that man. Shortly then the elevator arrived at the lower and secret levels of the facility, located very deep under the dense ice capes: the heart of the outpost. Madison took her mother's hand while the doors opened, showing the very reason of why Monarch built that entire place over there, which left everyone wordless at the sight they had in front while approaching the observatory deck. The rest of Jonah's forces were already there preparing all their equipment.

"By all spirits." Jonah's second-in-command, Asher expressed in amaze.

"They had nothing to do with this." Jonah corrected.

The icy underground part of that research facility was nothing ever seen before anywhere: it was literally a huge ice chamber diversified and branched into multiple metal platforms scattered around some giant ice wall and the main giant infrastructure and building, which they stood connected to it and lot of spotlights scattered around to light up the whole area. But the most notable and incredible thing of all stood in front of them imposing, even if it was inside the ice wall: the silhouette of a Titan. But this one looked very big…bigger than anything Team Avatar had seen until now. Even if it wasn't very visible frozen there that Titan seemed bigger than Godzilla.

"That's big. Really…really big." Sokka said in shock.

"Maddie. Do you know…which Titan is that one?" Suki asked softly, overwhelmed by the figure of the frozen Titan, but not as much as her boyfriend.

"Monster Zero." Madison answered.

"Now that looks something worse than the Mutos." Sokka deduced. "Way worse."

"I guess that's its head." Suki deduced pointing at the most recognizable feature in the ice. "But what are those supposed to be?" She asked pointing at some huge and long features that resembled the head and long neck of the Titan.

"Heads." Emma responded. "It has three heads."

"Three heads?!" Sokka repeated in disbelief. "You're kidding, right?"

"No. It really is that way."

"Maybe it's just me imagining things, but it resembles of something like…a dragon." Suki opined.

"Yes, it is. A dragon." Madison confirmed.

"A dragon Titan?" Sokka replied.

"That's what it looks like." Emma said.

"How long do you think this creature has been down here?" Suki asked next.

"It must have stood here for hundreds of millennia." Emma theorized.

"That thing has remained frozen down here since very long ago…right on the same homeland of my people and ancestors from generations. And nobody had idea of what laid here, beneath the ice." Sokka expressed still shocked by such reveal. "I…can't believe it." Suki took his hand with hers to comfort him.

The specimen was quite intriguing, just like how Monarch dubbed the place where it was found: The Wall of Serpents. Shortly after that everyone went through one of the interconnected passages that lead to one of the platforms near the ice wall and so to one of the closest parts regarding the Titan's body. Emma extended her hand toward the ice and touched it.

"Any survivors?" Jonah asked to his second-in-command.

"No. They tried to launch an emergency beacon, but we cut them off in time." Asher reported.

"They'll figure it out. Fire up the drills." He ordered, making Asher to whistle at the other rogue troops and follow him to some other section. Next he turned at Emma. "Do you have everything you need?" Emma nodded at him in affirmation. "Good. Well, let's get started. Meanwhile take our special guests to a quieter place to stay until we get our job done."

And so the non-benders of Team Avatar were took to another place far from there as the Jonah's soldiers activated some automatic drills and began excavating through the ice wall toward the body of the frozen dragon Titan while bringing more containers, probably to get some samples of its DNA. Madison wanted to go with her friends but her mother stopped her grabbing her shoulder with her hand and denying with her head.

"They'll be fine." Emma assured her, although she seemed still worry about them.

But even if what she said was true, Sokka couldn't avoid having some suspicious feeling about Emma. He took close attention about what Jonah and Asher said about the emergency call of Monarch, but also with how Emma behaved toward Jonah when he asked her about the Orca. She didn't seem reluctant to cooperate with him regardless of her daughter being there or not, and that gave him a bad feeling about it. Something that his instinct got aware and kept him warned, like how it happened with Jet the first time they met. Now he felt the same thing. Madison gave them one last look before turning at the icy wall and touched it without a glove while Emma took out the Orca and turned it on. After seeing the lower main screen showing 'Analyzing Specimen Bioacoustics' again Emma pushed the device's main button and the upper main screen that showed different bioacoustics in colors changed to 'Specimen: Monster Zero. Orca Analyzing Specimen Bioacoustics. Complete', which meant that Emma seemed to be doing the same that she did back with Mothra, and that wasn't a good sign. Mostly when they used the drills next to insert some tools all around the wall. Well, when it comes to Sokka, Suki and the team obviously they don't want to eliminate Titans, superspecies and other similar creatures just for nothing (unlike some humans would do indiscriminately), but they wouldn't wanna free said gigantic animals and let them roam around like that either, at least not until knowing which ones could be more like Godzilla, Kong and Mothra (in that case it could be a good thing) and which ones more like the Mutos and the Skullcrawlers (in that case they shouldn't be released). The teenage couple was brought to another big room outdoor far enough from where Emma, Madison, Jonah and most of the mercenaries stood. The soldiers that lead them there remained in front of the entrance as they kept their eyes on the teenagers. Sokka knew they couldn't stand there and do nothing, so he pretended to invite Suki for a walk around the place together while trying to figure out a way to get out of there and turn things back on their favor in secret.

"Suki, we cannot stay here and let these guys go their way around this place." Sokka whispered to Suki as low as he could.

"I agree. We've to find a way to get Maddie and Emma out of here too." Suki added.

"Yeah, that too. But…I think it would be only for Maddie."

"What do you mean?"

"You're gonna believe that I'm a little crazy, but my instinct tell me that there's something wrong regarding Emma, especially with what she's doing with the Orca…and how she acted with Jonah, which is highly suspicious. I've only felt this sensation back when Katara, Aang and I met Jet the first time, and I wasn't wrong about him in the end."

"So you think Emma could be scheming something with Jonah and his people?" Suki deduced. "Perhaps something related with this Monster Zero?"

"Maybe, but I'm not sure yet. The thing is that even we don't know which the real intentions of these guys are we have to tell the others and Monarch that they're here so they can come and stop them before they escape again." Sokka affirmed.

"Alright, but how we're going to warn them?"

"See that terminal?" Sokka said pointing lightly at some terminal located in some upper level visible from their position. "That man that was talking to Jonah previously said that the crew of Monarch here tried to send an emergency call to their headquarters but they managed to stop them before it was done. Well, we're the ones who are going to send that warning message for everyone here."

"Sounds like you've another plan of yours already in motion." Suki guessed smirking at him. "But we need to take on these guards first."

"I know." Sokka agreed before looking at the bag where his boomerang and the rest of their weapons were stored and next up, seeing that there was a hanging container with boxes held by ropes. "And I think how can we deal with that too."

And so, acting like they ended their tour of the place the young couple walked toward where the guards stood without moving, catching their attention.

"Alright. If you guys have something to say, anything you want to say to us then now is your chance." Sokka dared to the mercenary guards. "Spite it out."

"Well, since you're the one who said it…" One of the guards started while he was taking something out of his pocket. "Look, I know you're our hostages but…could you please give me your autographs?"

That answer left them speechless, as they didn't expect anything like that.

"Seriously? That's what you have to say?" The second guard asked stunned at his partner.

"What?! They saved the world from the Fire Lord and his sky-raining-fire army!" The first guard defended.

"Yeah, we did! And don't you think it was an easy task!" Sokka added, joining their conversation and mood in order to keep them distracted. "Mostly when it came to bring down the entire fleet. And I got a broken leg during it. But we managed to trash their evil plan in the end, all by ourselves."

While he kept the guards occupied talking about their greatest feat during the Day of Sozin's Comet Sokka walked nearby the bag where his and Suki's weapons stood and grabbed his boomerang, with no one suspecting a thing.

"Yeah, I know what you're thinking. How it's possible for a bunch of kids like us to outsmart a whole nation of militarized firebenders with no other ambition but the destruction of the world? Well, I'll tell you. Everything starts with this." Sokka proclaimed taking out his boomerang. The guards found this funny and laughed, not realizing what he was really doing. "Yeah, laugh at it! This maybe doesn't look much, but I managed to take down lots of bigger benders and non-benders with this little guy, especially Combustion Man."

"Who?" The guards said in confusion.

"I knew you would ask, which is a curious story if you ask my opinion. The thing is that this big combustionbender followed us all around the Fire Nation until the Western Air Temple, and it almost got us. He had us cornered, but then I threw my fella here with a well precisely calculated trajectory…and bang! Right into the center of his ugly head, bullseye. And the next time he tried to blow us into pieces…BOOM! No more Combustion Man."

"Wow."

"In fact, allow me to show you a demonstration." Sokka proposed, assuming proper stand quickly and aiming his boomerang up, right at the direction of the ropes holding the hanging box container above the guards and throwing it at the moment.

The boomerang cut out some of the ropes, causing some of the container's surface give way downwards and making the boxes to fall right over the guards.

"A warrior is as good as his tools. Try keep that in mind." Sokka proclaimed while his trusted boomerang returned to his hand, with the teenage boy kissing it later. "Boomerang, you never fails."

"Sokka, that was amazing." Suki praised before hugging him and kiss him on his cheek, making her boyfriend blushing in red. "You never stop surprising me."

"Well, what can I say? I have my moments." Sokka answered flattered. "Let's go grab our weapons and go for that terminal."

Suki nodded as they went to recover their weapons (Sokka's war club, machete and black space sword, besides his trusted boomerang of course and Suki's metal fans and katana) and left the room with the guards trapped under the boxes, now unable to do anything about it.

"So…which one of you wants to deliver the boss the bad news this time?" The first of the mercenaries proposed with an unease and embarrassed look.

"One, two, three! Not me!" The second mercenary soldier responded quickly and raising his hand.

"Not me either!" The third one followed the second, making the first one to bury his head on the floor and hit it with his fist frustrated.

"Aw, not again. I hate this."

Meanwhile, at another room were two other mercenaries on watch duty: one man, one woman. But then they were sneakily grabbed by Suki and Sokka and knocked down. Next they took the unconscious soldiers with them while they went up levels, using them as puppets so they could not raise any suspicion. Good plan, because later they spotted Asher on some platform in front of them, so they stopped walking, put the knocked guards in front of themselves to act like them.

"And they don't call it Monster Zero for nothing." Asher said for himself with crossed arms as he was now in patrol. Next he turned at the direction of the puppet troops, who Sokka and Suki made them like if they saluted at his superior officer. "Hey." He only said at his subordinates like nothing before turning around, allowing the teenagers to keep going upright.

Shortly after that the pair reached the correct upper level, spotting the terminal in front of them, but it was turned off.

"I'll try turning this thing on, Suki. You watch for any of the mercenaries that could be nearby." Sokka said as he began searching for the power cable to connect to the main frame, which he found on the floor at the terminal's backwards very soon disconnected and plugged it in the nearest plug from the wall, activating all systems of the terminal. Suki nodded at him and positioned herself on the edge of the catwalk to keep an eye on any possible mercenaries that could come and jeopardize their plan to contact and warn Monarch about these unexpected and unwanted guests on their secret polar outpost. With his girlfriend checking the perimeter Sokka turned at the terminal and sighed. "Ok, let's do this."

Trusting on his knowledge in science, engineering and technology Sokka tried to find and follow the right procedures to contact Monarch's HQ and send them an emergency call with all the necessary information regarding Jonah's last strike, the current situation on Outpost 32 with the mercenaries invasion and confirming that the Orca was on their possession alongside Emma, her daughter Madison and themselves as hostages and they needed to hurry up into coming to the South Pole with very well prepared military forces strong enough to counter Jonah's mercenaries, defeat and capture them and finally bring them to justice, which he achieved by typing the right word keys. In fact, he realized it very soon thanks to his special gift in scientific and techno stuff, so it didn't take too long. Just a couple of seconds or half a minute.

"Alright, it's done." Sokka announced to Suki. "I've send a message to every base of Monarch listening out there about what happened here. They should be aware of our situation in no time." Next he turned off the terminal, disconnect the main power cable and cut it out with his sword.

"Why did you do that? The communications system is now useless." Suki objected.

"That's the point. With the main cable destroyed there's no way the mercenaries can discover that we sent the distress call…until it's too late." Sokka explained.

"Right when Monarch arrives with reinforcements alongside our friends. Sokka, you really are a genius."

"Hey, if that guy thinks he's gonna have it his way is because he doesn't know what we can do, and to take us seriously. Now there must be something else we could do while our friends get the message, even if we cannot help Madison and Emma for now. I'm open to suggestions."

"Then how about we try to dwindle their forces as much as we can while we wait for the cavalry to arrive?" Suki proposed smirking.

"So when Monarch's reinforcements arrive Jonah and his minions will be overwhelmed. Good plan, Suki!" Sokka supported. "We could also rescue and free the other prisoners of this base as well."

"Exactly. Just follow my lead this time. Sneak attacks and infiltrations are my specialties. And I really doubt these guys have dealt with a Kyoshi Warrior before." The teenage girl advised.

"I would follow you anywhere, anytime. After you, Miss Great Leader." Sokka said bowing to his soulmate and offering to lead the way, making her to chuckle flattered as they went already on the move, beginning with their new strategy.

"Did you manage to find anything else on that terminal?"

"Only some stuff about that Monster Zero. It looks like Monarch discovered it shortly before Katara and I found Aang very far from here. Quite coincidental."

"Yeah, too much."

The warrior couple kept moving forward to the closest section of the site to begin taking down as much mercenary troopers as they could while searching for the outpost crew captured and imprisoned somewhere in the base. A small attempt to frustrate or slow down Jonah's plans, but something similar of what they had done several times before. At the same time on Castle Bravo, Mark was immersed on his own thoughts while watching an old recorded video that Emma did many years ago, from the time when they lived on Ba Sing Se. When they were still married…and a family.

"We have a bear situation up here in the attic." Emma communicated at the camera as she went up the stairs quietly toward the attic, where it seemed to be a group that resembled bears around human size. Said individuals were no one else than Mark alongside Andrew and Madison when they were little children in bear costumes and make-up at the bottom of the attic, acting like a bear family.

"That's not… Stop." Mark said, acting like a father bear until he stopped, spotting Emma at the entrance. "Look. An intruder!" He exclaimed while the kids turned at her. "Get her!"

"Get her!" Andrew repeated, being the first one to go after his mother roaring like the bear cub he pretended to be.

"Get her! Get her!"

"No, don't get me!" Emma begged playfully following the game.

"Andrew, Madison! Get her!" Mark kept encouraging carrying Madison after his wife, who ended caught by them.

"Get her!" Andrew insisted.

"Bear kisses. Bear kisses!" Mark said as the kids began eating her mother by kisses, making her laugh by all the cuddling and kissing.

That was some good memory and treasure of his, an example of their past good times, even at times of war. That was what Mark missed the most: the family, his family…all together. After the tragedy that devastated Ba Sing Se some time ago and the personal and desolating lost they suffered back then he felt that his family got fractured, broken…and in the end it got separated in two. He never wanted that: things ending that way. He always wanted his family to stick together no matter the obstacles and issues they could face. Those recorded images made him wish of had tried harder to keep it united in such moment. Regretting on how he behaved in the past and his decision of leaving, like if he abandoned them when he could have done better. Feeling like he failed as father, as it was his fault. And everything because those monsters, the Titans. And yet both Emma and his old colleagues from Monarch refused to eliminate them like some of the nations wanted. Deep inside he knew that it would be no different from what the Fire Nation tried to do to the Air Nomads back then, but...what else could be done instead? And most of all he didn't expect the Avatar to stand up and go intensely against such action, especially toward Godzilla. It was like if he was protecting him. No, he was indeed protecting him! But why and for what? That's what Mark couldn't understand, but that kind of attitude of his reminded him the same one that Andrew had, like…if he was some kind of reminiscence of his son. But for what and why? He didn't get it. All that was too awkward for him. Anyway, no matter what he felt about the Titans and Godzilla mostly now he knew that he couldn't go against the Avatar's word. That would only make him look like a bad guy for him, his friends and Monarch, so that was something that he should avoid to express, mostly on the current situation. He didn't want to make things tenser than they already were between him and the others. Then he started to feel that something weird was going on, which was confirmed as he saw everything on his deck shaking lightly like it was caused by a weak earthquake, but it wasn't an earthquake although the tremors were felt everywhere. Next an alarm was heard instantly while a red light began beeping both inside and outside his work room.

"All personnel, report to battle stations. Code red." Colonel Foster warned through speakers loud and clear all around the base. "All personnel, report to battle stations. Code red. This is not a drill. All personnel, report to battle stations. Code red."

Mark went out and saw confused everyone running from one place to another, and they looked to be nervous and in a hurry so he joined the flow as he deduced it had to be something important and urgent. He ran in direction to the control room of the main observation and monitoring station where Serizawa, Graham and the others were already gathered.

"What's happening?" Mark asked to Chen, who was checking on some monitor alongside some other scientists.

"Something's wrong. He's never been this close before." Chen answered worried as she went to where Serizawa and Graham stood next to a bigger tech monitoring screen that showed a map of the world on its lower part and some kind of underwater and marine pathway map on its upper part, followed by Mark. Said screen probably was the one showing the routes that Godzilla used to take when he traveled all around the world, mostly sea routes.

"Who's he?" Mark asked confused.

"Who do you think?" Chen replied.

In that moment Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko arrived at the place.

"What's going on?" Zuko asked.

"It's him. He's getting closer." Graham responded.

"You mean Godzilla?" Katara asked next.

"Well, this is his territory, so who else could be?" Toph replied.

"He's taking out our observation drones." Graham reported.

"What? You said he would not attack if he wasn't provoked." Aang recalled. "What would he do that?"

"We're not sure, Aang."

"Yeah, it's gotta be him. I can feel it."

"Trajectory?" Serizawa said next.

"Straight at us! 1.200 meters and closing." Stanton reported.

"G-Team. Barnes, Martinez, Hendricks, I want you on those CROWS now!" Foster commanded.

"You heard boss ladies! Let's move!" Barnes encouraged as he and his crew ran to battle positions.

The three G-Team soldiers sat in front of some tables equipped with advanced computers and technological systems, all in front of more big screens showing the underwater perimeter of Castle Bravo. Barnes and the others put on some turned on headphones and then they activated the security measures with their terminals. With all this the spotlights of the outside side of the base came on, ready to spot Godzilla from wherever he could appear while the defense shields turned on, as well the base's main defense means: maser turrets, some kind of new type of energy weapons designed to repel Titans, even the alpha types although these were never used before against Godzilla. Inside the base everyone saw the shields closing, making the atmosphere tenser and worrying.

"Dr. Stanton. Do you have his bioacoustics?" Serizawa asked next.

"Acoustics coming up!" Stanton announced as he tracked both Godzilla's bioacoustics and his position through the system, which was showed in the scanners. "Okay, he's closing. We're at 800 meters!"

"His movements are erratic. Heart and breathing elevated." Graham reported checking the big screen which changed to a graph of the dinosaur vitals.

"Yeah, he's definitely not happy about something." Coleman agreed.

As for Team Avatar, they were not sure if they were following.

"I don't get it. How are they getting all this?" Zuko asked a little confused.

"Emma isolated Godzilla's bioacoustics." Chen clarified pointing at some monitor that showed 'Specimen: Titanus Gojira' on screen alongside his bioacoustics and vitals. "It allows us to track him. Even to get his vitals."

"Wow, that's quite ingenious." Katara complimented. "Sokka would have had though the same about this."

Then everything started shaking again, this time with more intensity, forcing everyone to keep their balance.

"Wow, whoooaaa! What's going on?!" Toph exclaimed alarmed, and feeling a little dizzy.

"Circling now, closing in, 200 meters." Stanton warned, checking the dinosaur Titan on the scanner.

"Colonel!" Serizawa called.

"All teams in position, weapons hot, ready to engage on my command." Foster instructed, making Barnes and the rest to prepare their weapons controls of the maser turrets ready to fire at her signal, changing on their monitors 'Maser Turret Status: Armed'

"Come on, come on, come on." Martinez repeated waiting at which their next move would be.

"No! Don't do it!" Aang protested, making everyone stop and getting their attention. "He's not going to be the one who will give the first strike, and shouldn't be you either." His answer left most of them confused.

"Hold your fire, Aang's right. We don't know he'll attack." Serizawa supported.

"He will if you keep those guns on him." Katara replied. "Don't give him a reason to attack you."

"They're right. Now I want him…" Mark said but then he stopped giving a slight glance at Aang and his friends and reconsidered what he was going to say in order to not make them glare badly at him again. "…out of here more than anybody, but unless this is a fight that you know that you can win, for the spirits' sake, stand down." Mark advised.

The scanners showed that Godzilla was getting closer and closer by each second and the tremors were getting stronger, with their equipment starting to be affected by them.

Toph ended falling backwards. "Yeah, I would prefer to do anything opposite of making those tremors worse, especially if they're made by his mere presence!"

"Besides, there's no way any of your weapons can at least dissuade him. You guys already know that from Ba Sing Se." Zuko reminded.

"Stand down." Serizawa ordered.

"You can't be serious." Foster complained.

"I am. Stand down." Serizawa insisted.

"Remember: We're not his enemy, so don't do it. Hold your fire." Aang begged.

Foster was not convinced of that plan, thinking it was a foolish action…but she had no choice if the Avatar recommended it. "Stand down. I say again, safe your weapons. Do not engage." She commanded, making G-Team soldiers to deactivate the maser turrets and their systems and get their hands off the controls.

Then everyone stood in silence, nervous and tense of what could happen next. But surprisingly nothing occurred.

"Hum, it appears that Aang's deduction was right. And the tremors have stopped." Katara realized.

"Uf, seems the big guy has calmed down." Toph sensed.

"Yes, and listen." Chen said, noticing something else. "His heart rate, it's slowing."

And she was right, as everyone (except Toph, but she could still feel it) saw in the monitors his heartbeat lectures slowing down, like if he was relaxed. His snarls and growls became more soft and calmed, and so the other cracking noises coming from him.

"Maybe he was just…playing with your drones." Aang proposed, making everyone to look at him stunned. "Because he was bored?"

"Yeah, I would do it." Stanton agreed.

"Me too, if I am sincere." Coleman supported.

"My gosh." Foster expressed in disbelief. "Now what?"

"Open the shields." Zuko recommended. "Let him know is us."

"Oh, yeah, sure. Let's bring him in for a tea." Stanton responded sarcastically. "I know you're the Fire Lord, but you out of your own mind?"

"I agree with him." Mark said. "Let him know we're not a threat. Open the shields."

Serizawa looked at both the young Fire Lord and Mark, knowing that it wasn't a bad idea. And with Aang with them he got more convinced that the outcome would be favorable for them.

"Do it." Serizawa ordered to Stanton.

Stanton lowered his head in frustration and defeat, but he did it anyway even if he considerate it a bad idea. As the metal shields opened the observation window to the underwater environment everyone gathered around the control panel and stood speechless at the sight in front of them: It was indeed Godzilla, swimming slowly at them while using the bluish glow which emanated from his dorsal fins in some pattern and different increasing light intensity. His eyes, gills, and interior of his mouth were also glowing in neon blue while using it. They were some schools of fishes a little visible as well but everyone was focused on the giant prehistoric amphibious reptile. The glow became so intense that even Toph seemed able to 'see it' despite her blindness. Something similar of what she swore seeing on their skirmish on the Fire Nation fleet on the day of the comet.

"Hey, what's with the light show?" Katara asked while trying to cover her face a little from the blue glow with her hand.

"It's an intimidation display. Like a gorilla pounding his chest." Graham deduced, feeling already intimidated by his imposing figure even underwater.

"Consider us very intimidated." Coleman hardly responded, already overwhelmed.

"I don't think it's for us." Chen opined, convinced that there should be a reason why Godzilla was doing that.

Aang also thought that. Even if he knew Godzilla just for a short time since he met him personally Aang knew that there must be a reason for him to be upset, and it couldn't be them. And on such moment? Not coincidence, that for sure. He sighed in determination and walked slowly to the glass wall approaching, right toward Godzilla. Something that everyone noticed.

"What are you doing, kid?" Stanton asked, but neither he nor other responded.

Mark tried going after him but Serizawa stopped him.

"Let him go." Serizawa told him.

Once he stood in front of the window Aang stopped, with his sight still on his dinosaur friend, who suddenly stopped in his approach.

"It's ok, pal. Everything's alright. It's just us." Aang assured, apparently talking to Godzilla, even if he couldn't hear him. "There's no one here that's going to hurt you. I'm here."

He wasn't sure if what he had planned to do was going to work, but he let his instinct to guide him, just like how Sokka would say. Next Aang closed his eyes and focused on his inner energy while touching the glass gently with his hand, and with that it meant his power of the Avatar. Suddenly he opened his eyes glowing among his tattoos, like if he was in the Avatar State but it wasn't. The glow endured shortly and faded, but then it repeated two more times, making it three in total. Then the dorsal plates of the alpha Titan ceased their glowing. Stanton checked the main systems and put on the screens what these were also detecting: Aang's signature energy signal. Yes, Monarch also had registered the Avatar's energy lecture in case they needed to track him if something happened, putting on some part of the screens 'Energy Levels. Subject: Avatar Aang'. Now that was something that neither Dr. Russell and Aang's group expected. Aang displayed the same glowing pattern once more and stood watching whatever that could happen next. And then…for everyone's surprise Godzilla started glowing again but different this time: shortly and steady and repeated a couple of times. The same way Aang did it! He was imitating him! No, he was responding him! Aang smiled and decide to continue with the glowing; no matter if he didn't know what he was doing exactly, but he knew he was at least helping on calming down Godzilla. Also Godzilla looked like more relaxed letting out some soft growls as he recognized who was there: the same little human boy that helped him on his big fight against the Mutos, Shinomura, Muto Prime and the Ion Dragon. It looks like he was glad to see him again. That really left everyone shocked with widening eyes: some ones stood with their mouths dropped in shock like Mark, Coleman, Stanton, Foster and Zuko and others smiled and chuckled as reaction like Serizawa, Graham, Chen, Barnes and Katara.

"I…don't believe it." Stanton hardly said, as he and others didn't know what to say and with headphones falling off his hand. "He…he's imitating it. The reptile is imitating the boy's glowing patters, literally." He even compared the lectures of Godzilla's energy with the ones of the Avatar, and surprise! They were identical, or almost.

"That's…it's incredible." Coleman added.

"It's like they're communicating." Chen said amazed.

"Huh, what's going on?" Toph asked, with no idea of what was happening.

"Aang is glowing in a pattern and Godzilla is imitating him." Zuko answered, making her to wide her eyes in surprise.

"Wow, and I thought I've seeing everything, and I meant it with that. You're a box filled with surprises, Twinkle Toes."

"How's that possible?" Mark asked in disbelief.

"No idea, but he does it. Ha, typical of Aang." Katara replied proud of him.

"No doubt he's the Avatar." Barnes complimented.

"Yeah, that's my future husband."

Katara's answer made some of them, like Chen and Foster to look at her more shocked than before.

"Yes, we…we heard a few things about that you two were…together." Chen could only say.

"Lucky girl." Foster added.

"Well done, Aang." Serizawa congratulated softly.

"People, he's getting closer. 100 meters and keep coming right at us." Stanton warned as Godzilla began getting closer, slowly and steady but without showing any signs of aggression.

"Well, right now I'm not in the mood to think what to do next." Coleman said.

"But he doesn't seem aggressive, rather curious." Graham realized pointing at Godzilla's vitals, which looked good.

"Let him come. He just wants to see Aang closer." Serizawa instructed. "He can feel him, as well Aang at him."

"I hope you're right, doctor." Foster replied nervous.

Once he was close enough to the underwater base Godzilla finally spotted Aang, who stood in front of the glass watching him back with a smile and waving him lightly with his hand. Katara, Zuko and Toph joined Aang without a hint of fear in front the glass wall so Godzilla could see them as well, and it seemed that he also recognized them from the time when he left Ba Sing Se and their other encounters. After looking at the group and the other humans for a few seconds Godzilla started swimming backwards, retreating from the base perimeter without turning his sight out of it and the humans he recognized. At least now he knew that the humans that were inside his turf were good ones and they wouldn't even annoy him. He kept swimming backwards until he disappeared into the dark mantle of the depths of the ocean, making most of Monarch's crew to sigh together in relief.

"Well, that was interesting." Coleman said relieved. "Not to mention what you did was…"

But suddenly everyone received the scare of its life when Godzilla reappeared in front of them by surprise with another blinding blue glow and swam at high speed just a few meters from them, forcing everyone to take cover or kept their balance with a final huge shake. But regarding that jumpscare they could see that the Titan was only turning around and leaving back into the depths. Then all systems returned back to normal.

"Wow, what now?!" Toph asked again on the floor.

"It's okay! He turned around." Aang reassured. "He's gone."

"Uf, that's a sight that will stay in my mind forever." Katara expressed getting on her feet and later helping Toph. "If Sokka was here, he would probably faint."

Zuko sighed in relief grabbing at his torso, just where his heart was. "Tell me about it. If my uncle saw that, he would be done for."

"Can we maybe close the shields now?" Stanton suggested ironically.

"Jeez, what was that for?" Katara said.

"I don't know, but he seemed in a hurry." Aang responded.

"Show me his territorial routes." Mark requested to Stanton.

"What? Why?"

"Because I wanna start a boat tour. Just show me." Mark insisted.

"Okay. Coming up." And he changed the screen to a world map and added the routes that Godzilla had through all over the oceans.

"You care to tell us what you're looking for?" Foster asked Mark.

"When an animal leaves its hunting ground, it's usually because it's threatened by something."

"Threatened? You mean Godzilla feels himself in danger." Aang said.

"It looks that way."

"And what could that be? He's literally the most powerful thing in the world, and the Mutos are already gone." Toph reminded.

"Well, that's something I cannot answer."

"Run a course projection." Graham requested to Stanton.

"Maybe we should go after him." Zuko suggested.

"I agree. He's looking for something out there. It could be the ORCA." Mark deduced.

"For once I agree with Dr. Russell. Maybe Godzilla could know or feel where the Orca currently is, so he can guide us to where Sokka, Suki, Madison and Emma are." Aang supported.

Serizawa and Graham looked at each other, feeling that they could be right.

"Dr. Stanton, what's your projection?" Serizawa asked.

"All paths have him landing in the same place. The South Pole." Stanton revealed.

"What? So they've being sent somewhere in the Southern Water Tribe territories and imprisoned there?! And Godzilla is going there too?!" Katara replied stunned.

"I just said he's going to the South Pole. I didn't say it was the Water Tribe, or its territories." Stanton corrected.

"Good, then." Mark said eager to take some action at last. "I mean, let's go! Let's go find him. Let's-" But he got silent seeing the reaction of the rest of the crew, who said nothing and seemed stunned looking at each other. Like if they knew something else, like maybe where Jonah and his forces could be at the moment or something related of why they were there, or what they could be after. Something that the young benders noticed too.

"Wait, what's in the South Pole?" Aang asked, a little worried of their answer.

"Hey people, more news incoming!" Stanton announced putting on his headphones and checking the communications system. "We've received an emergency call from Outpost 32, in the same polar location. It's from Sokka."

"Sokka?! What it says?! It's he alright?!" Katara asked excited of knowing from her brother. "And the others?!"

"Easy girl, I'm checking it. The message confirms that he's there on the outpost, alongside Suki, Emma and Madison. It seems Jonah and his forces have assaulted the site and captured all personnel, and have the ORCA with them. Suki and him managed to escape and are going to try dwindling their forces and keep them occupied while we prepare everything to take action. And that's all, folks." Stanton informed.

"Copy that. That will be enough." Foster affirmed before turning at Barnes. "Barnes, contact the Argo. And tell them to prepare the special top-secret assets and bring them on it."

"Yes, ma'am." Barnes responded before going to some other place or terminal in order to transmit the new orders to some other section called the Argo, or whatever was that.

"Well, I guess I'll have to postpone my next class with Master Malu. I was already finishing with her when the alarm sounded." Aang lamented. It seems he was training with Master Malu in all their airbending teachings to remember and improve his skills. In other words, airbending re-training.

"Yeah, me too. I was practicing with plantbending and remembering other advanced moves with the other waterbenders from our tribe when it happened, especially those about icebending." Katara lamented too, as she was also catching up with the other waterbenders from the southern tribe in waterbending.

"Colonel Foster, what is this Argo thing?" Zuko asked her.

"I'll glad to show you, Team Avatar, if you please follow me." Foster offered, guiding Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko to some other section of the base: the main secret hangar, which was very big indeed.

Shortly later, inside the hangar stood the majority of their highly advanced vehicles: terrestrial, aerial, aquatic…and the new advanced, biggest and impressive of them all. The new jewel of the crown of Monarch's military branch and their brand new mobile headquarters, flying fortress and flagship of Monarch's G-Team: the Argo.

"Wow." The young benders expressed in amaze watching the new airship. They had never seen anything like it; so highly technologically advanced and so big, way more than the airships of the Fire Nation.

"Team Avatar, I present to you the pride and the jewel of the crown of G-Team: the Argo." Foster proclaimed introducing the new flying flagship to the young heroes.

The ship somewhat resembled an enlarged stealth bomber. It was triangular in shape and had a set of rockets on its rear for propulsion. The young ones became really eager to go aboard that ship, and so they did alongside Serizawa, Graham, Mark, Coleman, Stanton, Chen, Foster, Barnes and a huge battalion of G-Team.

Argo Flagship, Monarch command ship.

Minutes later the Argo was already in the air with course set to Outpost 32 on the South Pole. The huge flagship was flying through the night sky and through a blizzard without problem escorted closely by Gold Squadron, a Monarch complement of a brand new generation of highly advanced planes known as fighter jets, which pilots were also guided from the Argo's control room. Inside some big spacious room of the main ship of the fleet was Aang with his animal companions Appa and Momo, gently caressing both of them in order to comfort the two mammals as they stood inside a new, strange, unknown and closed place for them, although the feeling of flying without doing it by himself was a little nice and relaxing for Appa. After ensuring they would be alright Aang exited to room while Appa and Momo decided to take a nap. After that Aang hurried to gather with the others in the ship's control room. Internally, the Argo had a large control room at its front manned by at least four pilots under the command of Colonel Foster and it was large enough to serve as a mobile headquarters for Monarch while being on the move. In a few seconds Aang arrived at said control room and stood next to Katara, Toph and Zuko in front of some large high tech control panel with touch screen alongside much of Monarch's scientific crew and some officers of G-Team, with everyone wearing coats except Team Avatar. Foster approached the control panel, which showed 'Specimen: Monster Zero' on its main screen alongside x-ray images of the Titan which outpost was built over and footage of its location, or better said its frozen tomb.

"I can't believe it. One of those Titans has been in slumber at the South Pole this whole time?" Katara said, still stunned by knowing that there was a hibernating Titan on her own icy homeland, and with her and her people without a clue of it since the beginning.

"It looks that way." Graham affirmed. "The specimen at this site has been kept entirely off-book. And since it's a more recent discovery, our data is limited." She explained, referring to the Titan found buried and frozen under the polar ice caps of the land. "But it seems to be another apex predator."

"When did you find this one?" Zuko asked.

"Three months before Aang's awakening, and so his return to the world."

"That soon? Wow." Aang said impressed. He and his group didn't expect it to be found at such time, so soon and close to the beginning of the most important part of their lives.

"Indeed. Emma called it Monster Zero." Serizawa said.

"Monster Zero. Now that sounds serious." Toph answered, intrigued by how the Titan's name sounded.

"An apex predator, like Godzilla. But I guess that means the two of them didn't get along well." Aang deduced.

"Mostly. It may have been a rival alpha to Godzilla. Battling for dominance over the other Titans." Graham theorized.

"It looks like a serpent." Katara realized focusing on the few x-ray pictures of the creature.

"Closely, but not at all. In fact, it's something way bigger. Some kind of dragon."

"A dragon?" Zuko repeated stunned and intrigued.

"Yes, but this one is nothing like the original firebenders. Its body is much different, and it has three heads." Serizawa revealed.

"Uh oh." Toph simply said, worried by just hearing that fact.

"Three heads?!" Aang exclaimed in disbelief. "How's that possible?!"

"We don't know, although that already makes this one unique among all Titans we found around the world." Graham responded only.

"If this…Monster Zero was an ancient alpha rival of Godzilla as you say that could be a problem." Katara replied, with Serizawa nodding at her.

"Dr. Chen?"

"I've been scouring through thousands of years of forgotten myths and legends that we managed to uncover and recuperate." Chen said as she used the finger on the touch screen to show all the ancient images, drawns and paintings from multiple ancient civilizations and societies (even prehistoric ones) from different past times that they managed to recover, way long before everything of their own world and its known eras. All those showed monsters, godly beings with animal attributes and mighty creatures, that's what they had in common. The work of Chen and her twin sister, which seemed interesting for Aang, Zuko and Katara. "But it's almost as if people were scared to even write about it."

"As if it was meant to be forgotten." Serizawa deduced.

Said deduction was something that Aang found worrying. He knew that dragons looked fierce, imposing and were really powerful, like the ones he and Zuko found on the Sun Warriors' ancient city: Ran and Shaw, the last dragons and original firebending masters. Such mighty animals were feared, admired and respected at the same time by people, very much like Godzilla's case and he was way more ancient and not a dragon but a dinosaur from prehistoric times. But a dragon Titan that ancient people feared so much that they wanted it left in oblivion? That didn't seem like the dragons from his world, all the contrary. He felt it to be like not a good sign. And the fact that that one could be an ancient rival of their dinosaur Titan friend didn't sound encouraging either. It looked like the South Pole was destined to be where this one was supposed to lay imprisoned on ice forever. Besides that Aang knew that the Mutos were the natural enemies of Godzilla and his kind and back then he kept other Titans and creatures in check in order to maintain the natural order of the planet and restoring it in case something happened following his role as apex predator. But the little airbender hero never suspected that it could an alpha rival for him, forcing him to fight it for dominance. He didn't know that and expect it either. It was clear that there was still much to learn for Aang about Godzilla and his history involving the Titans.

"Sorry, I hate to crash a party, but I got some bad news." Stanton announced coming at them on a neutral tone.

"You could just say news. It's always bad." Barnes corrected.

"We lost Godzilla."

"What?" Aang said, feeling a little alarmed.

"What do you mean we lost him?" Zuko asked.

"Like you heard. He dropped off the scan near Red Sand Island." Stanton continued.

"Dropped off?" Mark asked next, both surprised and stunned.

"I'm telling you, Dr. Brooks was right. It's a Hollow Earth." Stanton defended, making some of his pals to react funny or annoyed, like some of the soldiers or Foster, who decided to turn around back with the pilots of the ship and Chen, who looked down with her hands on her head. It looked like she had heard that already from him before a couple of times and was tired of it, probably thinking inside her mind 'here we go again' while for others that already heard from him that he was crazy. Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko were the only ones that didn't understand what was that about. Suddenly Toph couldn't endure it and started laughing, making everyone confused in reaction.

"Hollow Earth?!" Toph said before keep laughing louder and hitting the panel a few times with her face buried on it. "Oh gosh, that's gonna be the most hilarious thing I've ever heard!"

"I don't see what's so funny about it." Barnes replied.

"It's just Toph's humor about earthly things." Katara clarified, making him to nod in affirmation.

"Maybe it sounds crazy, but it's real." Stanton insisted, enough to make Toph to stop immediately, who looked shocked then.

"What? Really?" Toph said stunned.

"I don't get it. What's that Hollow Earth stuff you're talking about?" Aang asked, both confused and curious.

"That's how Godzilla moves around so fast, using these underwater tunnels like portals we called wormholes." Stanton said making some funny electric-like noises and weird movements with his fingers. "Just like, zippin' around. That's how he did for arriving Ba Sing Se for his fight, surely through some of these passages connected with the lake."

"Well, that's something that Sokka would like to hear." Katara supposed.

"Wait, I think I heard something about it from my mother." Zuko said next, getting their attention. "From when our families told us about their trip on Skull Island."

"Yeah, I get what you mean. My dad told me and Sokka that he and Bato heard about something that some scientist of Monarch they met back then told during that journey. He mentioned something related with the Skullcrawlers, and he called it the Hollow Earth." Katara added realizing that part too.

"Now that you say it, it's true that my dad also mentioned it. I thought it was some kind of joke of his." Toph recalled. "But…I guess I was wrong."

"Dr. Brooks believed that the Hollow Earth and the Titans could be related someway, and he ended to be right about it." Stanton affirmed.

"We still don't know if that's true." Chen reminded.

"Maybe he's right. You guys remember that weird glowing giant hole on the North Pole that we managed to blow up when we encountered that giant snow-burrowing blind creature (Frost Vark)?" Aang recalled. "Back then I thought it was some kind of spirit portal, but after hearing what Dr. Stanton said and reminding what your families said not anymore. And who knows? Maybe this Hollow Earth place ends to be true."

"Thanks, boy. Glad to know that I have the support of the Avatar on the matter." Stanton thanked.

"Everyone look sharp. We're approaching the base." Foster informed loud and clear.

"In that case, I think it's time to suit you up." Coleman declared to Team Avatar.

"What?" They said at the same time.

Serizawa looked at Foster and nodded at her, who did the same.

"Barnes, bring them here and hurry." Foster ordered, with Barnes nodding and leaving with the other soldiers out of the room.

"Wait, what's going on here?" Mark asked confused.

"It's something we've done exclusively for them." Graham answered him.

"For them?" Mark repeated pointing at the young benders.

"Yes. It was a surprise for them." Chen responded smiling.

"Hum, what are you talking about?" Aang asked confused. "We don't follow you."

"Well, fellas. When we entrusted you with those special secret assignments regarding Titans and superspecies of such unresolved cases we had all your progresses monitored, and so your battles against the other Titans as you already know." Coleman recalled, with the young ones nodding. "But even with all your abilities, teamwork and victories we were still worried that such situations could be too much for you to handle and some of you could end…unwell, so since then we decided to find a way to help you rise up on the next level of your future fights and increase your surviving chances, especially when it comes of facing Titans and similar. So it's from that initiative that we began some additional research, which leaded to our X-Project."

"X-Project? What kind of project is that?" Mark asked confused with a worried voice tone.

"The one that will increase their fighting capabilities and chances." Serizawa responded, leaving him and the young heroes intrigued.

In that same moment Barnes and his soldiers entered back in the control room carrying some special human-sized metallic pods. Once they gathered those four in line they pressed some buttons on their side part, introducing some kind of authorization code that opened them and showed their content: it was some kind of special advanced techno suits that had the Monarch emblem on shoulders and some new and never seen before big symbol on torso, which was the emblems of the four nations (each one of them with their respective colors: water-blue, earth-green, fire-red and air-light blue) inside a circle (the same one Iroh formed when he was teaching Zuko about the elements and the nations). Each one of those suits was on a different color, the main ones: blue, green, red and yellow. Next Barnes invited the Avatar and the others to approach the suits and take a closer look at them. It was obvious that they were made for each and every one of them: Aang went for the yellow one, the blue one was for Katara, the green one for Toph with no doubt and the red one for Zuko. The soldiers pressed the united elements emblem on the torso of each suits and then these opened their parts of arms, shoulders and legs in half vertically and main body in half horizontally in some high technological way, ready for their long-awaited users to dress them up. Barnes and his troops signaled the young ones to position themselves with their backs straight and stretched still arms. Once the benders assumed proper stands the soldiers put them on the suits by the hands and feet and pressed the torso's emblems again, which made the suits to close on and return to their previous form. Now the four of them stood wearing those new suits, and they looked pretty cool that way. Then some parts of the suits glowed with lines of white light while the young heroes felt like a huge amount of energy covered their bodies and flowing through them for a few seconds before returning back to normal.

"Wow, what was that? I felt…something big." Zuko said impressed both by that sensation and his new look.

"Me too, and it was nice." Toph added checking her new outfit.

"Yes. I could feel like some huge energy flowing through my body." Katara said amazed looking at herself.

"Vitals?" Foster requested to main control.

"We're receiving them right now." Stanton reported checking on some big screen that showed four lines of vitals and energy lectures, each one in one color and with one of the benders' names over them. "Increased and stable. They're standing on the expected levels. I would call it a success if you ask me."

His answer got everyone cheered their own way, although Team Avatar and Mark still didn't know what was that all about.

"Well, we look pretty cool on these future-styled suits but…what it's that X-Project of yours that you mentioned?" Aang asked after checking his new look.

"That is our X-Project." Coleman replied pointing at them, or more specifically their new suits. "These power suits are designed to increase both physical and bending abilities, and so other attributes and abilities. We created six in total, the last remaining two the ones for Sokka and Suki."

"Wait. You…created these…for us?" Zuko repeated surprised.

"Indeed. In your case as benders the main goal is to boost your bending to a higher level, making you strong enough to counter and stand against the most powerful Titans." Graham explained.

"So…this is an upgrade for us?" Katara proposed.

"You got that right, girl." Stanton confirmed. "We made them in order to enhance both your physical abilities and elemental powers but mostly the later one, making them equal to the level of the Avatar State or the one given by Sozin's Comet, more or less. We tried our best to achieve it."

"No way! For real?!" Aang said super excited, just like the others became. "That's amazing!"

"Yes. Consider them a present from Monarch and ours." Foster told them with a sincere smile.

"For everything you've done for us." Serizawa added smiling too.

"This is one of the best gifts I've ever received in my whole life!" Toph exclaimed happy. "And I've received a lot."

"And we look great on these." Katara added.

"Of course you do. New signature outfits of Team Avatar." Coleman supported. "Courtesy of Monarch."

"And so a way to prepare you for a new era and world." Chen added.

"Jonah and his goons better get ready. They don't know what's coming at them." Toph commented.

Talking about them on the outpost some of the mercenaries were introducing some explosives inside the holes made with the automated drills, which once inside got activated. At that moment Jonah was walking toward where Suki and Sokka were supposedly watched accompanied by a pair of his soldiers. He wanted to be sure that their 'special guests' were comfortable and if there was anything they could do to make their stay a little better, but once he arrived he got shocked at seeing what happened: the guards still struggling to get all those boxes off them and nobody else in the room. That made him change his calmed face to be frowned and mad. He returned quickly where Emma and Madison stood in front of the ice wall, and he didn't look happy.

"They've escaped. The teenage warriors." Jonah informed, getting the attention of everyone there. Madison smirked at hearing it, as she knew it was just a matter of time that they managed to get off their custody. Emma on the other hand didn't seem glad to hear that, which was suspicious as Sokka felt. "Search every corner of the base. Don't stop until you find them and bring them back here."

A squadron of mercenaries left following his boss's orders.

"Sir, I think we've a situation regarding that issue." Asher told to his superior. "We lost contact with some of our forces scattered around the site, including near where the base prisoners were secured. And that's not all." He showed him some tablet-like device with proximity scanner which detected multiple signals approaching the outpost from outside. "They're here. It seems they managed to send that emergency call."

"Keep 'em busy, but be aware. Surely the Avatar and the rest of his group have come with them." Jonah advised. Emma and her daughter got aware of the breaking news as well.

"Launch reaction force, and be extremely cautious. The Avatar and the others would be there probably." Asher instructed through com-link. "Move out!" He ordered to some other troops before leaving. That left both mother and daughter worried of the possible outcome, but Madison seemed more calmed than her mother.

"Don't worry, mom. Sokka and Suki are still out there causing them trouble, and now Aang, Katara and the others are here too, which is very bad news for these guys. They'll come and rescue us sooner or later." Madison assured to her mother smirking.

"I don't know, Maddie." Emma responded not convinced at all of it.

"Yes they will! They've done things way bigger, harder and challenging and you know that. Compared with that this is nothing. These guys are going to be in trouble and they know. You'll see."

"I hope you're right." Emma said before continuing with the Orca, but her real thoughts and feelings regarding that were different from those of her daughter, as she looked more worried. But for what reason?

As his mercs prepared for the arrival of the enemy reinforcements Jonah gazed up to the ice wall, which now was all crawled with explosives from bottom to top. It didn't seem that much, but all those charges together could be strong enough to bring down the entire ice wall, but why doing that? While most of the merc troops were on the move nobody was aware that their young fugitives were watching everything from the top platform level and heard everything too, thanks that Sokka grabbed some of the com-link devices that one of the rogue soldiers they took down carried on and also heard the new orders.

"Those seem to be in a hurry, and they said that somebody else was coming here and very close." Sokka whispered to his girlfriend.

"It's gotta be them, they're here!" Suki exclaimed whispering. "They received your message."

"Yes, but they don't know they're waiting for them. But the crew of this place that we freed shortly will do that for us. And look." Sokka pointed down at where Emma and Madison were. "Madison and Emma are still there and she has the Orca. This could be our chance to free them."

"No, it would be still too risky. Jonah could see that coming, and they seem to be safe for now. I'm more worried about that." Suki said pointing at the bombs on the wall. "I know those are some kind of bombs but…why they put them on the wall?"

"I don't know, Suki. But I've a bad feeling about it."

"Anyway, we should keep going and take down as much soldiers as we can if we want to give our friends and Monarch's reinforcements more chances of recovering this site and stop Jonah." Suki recommended, with her boyfriend nodding and following her down to the next level stealthily.

On their way the pair found another couple of guards a few meters in front, so they approached quietly and neutralized them, ninja style. Then two more mercenaries appeared from a corner and spotted them, but Sokka reacted quickly and threw his trusted boomerang at high speed to them, knocking down one of them as it hit her on head.

"All units! Fugitives located! They're-" The soldier tried to report, but Suki tackled him fast and hard against a metal wall, leaving him unconscious and next she crushed his communication device.

"Scratch that, everyone. False alarm, but we'll keep searching for those twerps." Sokka said through com-link changing his voice tone for one that resembled said soldier to avoid anyone to sound any more alarms.

Suki nodded at him smirking and they kept going on their way. Meanwhile a little far from there, up in the sky the Argo opened its hangar from below and deployed two Ospreys that went flying on route to the outpost while the flagship and the squadron that escorted it retreated in order to stand by and wait for the next command. Inside one of the Ospreys were Aang, Katara, Zuko and Toph alongside Serizawa, Graham, Mark, Chen, Coleman, Stanton, Colonel Foster with her officers and lots of soldiers of G-Team. Everyone still wore coats minus Team Avatar, as it seems that their new suits also had the ability to adapt them to any environment: for example keeping them warm in places like their frigid destination or keep them fresh in hot places like the Si Wong Desert. Additionally it enhanced seismic sense, as it was expected, allowing Toph to increase her vision from standard limits. Meaning? Now she was able to see on different solid grounds, non-earth included like ice and see things not touching ordinary soil and very up in the sky or underwater, like flying animals or marine creatures on their habitat. All because her suit amplified her natural seismic waves, turning it into an evolved version of the sense or better said improvised or replicated echolocation. In fact they did it based on studies from animals known of having this sense or ability, like bats and cetaceans, but also mostly from Titans, like the Mutos. Of course she and her friends weren't aware of all this for the moment. Also all suits were equipped with com-link systems for communicating with anyone of Monarch or its facilities and/or other locations.

"If Jonah is looking to extract genetic samples, they'll be here in the bio labs." Graham deduced looking at a digital map of the outpost on a computer.

"Excuse me, but in case any of you people haven't noticed I wouldn't be able to be of big help there on that icy terrain." Toph reminded.

"What do you mean? Of course you will." Barnes assured.

"What?" Toph said confused.

"Oh yeah, we should have told you before. Your new suit also increases your seismic sense, making it something more like echolocation." Coleman explained.

"Which means that you can now see things not bonded to your element: everything that flies, underwater and on other solid grounds of different types." Chen added.

"Really? Yes! That's so great!" Toph expressed excited. "Then I've nothing else to say."

"Aang, Katara." Foster called. "Tonight there is a full moon, so your waterbending will be stronger. You'll have that advantage on your side, but also Jonah's waterbenders." She reminded them.

"Understood colonel." Katara answered.

"Katara." Aang called, but he sounded worried. "You are not going to…use it, right?"

"Oh, you mean…bloodbending?" Katara hardly replied, as it was an ability she was not proud of. "I…I'm not sure about it."

"We know they are people who had done outrageous things, but you don't have to do something that reduces you to their level. There's no need to use it." Serizawa assured. "You're not Hama, but someone better than her."

"Thanks, Dr. Serizawa." She thanked grateful for his words.

"G-Team, remember this clearly because I won't repeat it twice. We go in front and Team Avatar will follow us but they have special command. So if you receive orders from them, you follow them." Foster authorized, surprising Team Avatar one last time.

"With pleasure, ma'am." Barnes affirmed getting up. "All right, two minutes. Check your equipment, stand by the door." He warned for the troops to get ready for the mission. Next he turned at Team Avatar. "Get behind us and follow. Once inside the outpost you're free to go your own way or take some command like the colonel said."

"We'll keep it in mind." Zuko replied.

"Wow. I didn't think we could be in charge of a unit." Katara said impressed. "None of us have done it ever except Suki, Sokka and you, Zuko."

"Me neither. But hey, you don't get the chance of being in charge of a secret military force every day." Toph responded getting herself ready for the incoming fight. "So let's give those baddies a sight to never forget with our new upgraded selves." The blind earthbender declared.

In that moment the Ospreys landed a few meters behind the one that was stolen by Jonah and his rogue faction. Once the aerial crafts touched the ground the G-Team troops got out in line formation lead by Foster and Barnes with Team Avatar following behind. Everybody else stood inside the vehicle monitoring their progress by their live-on cameras put on their helmets transmitting the images directly to the inside computers. G-Team forces was composed by both benders and non-benders from all nations (except airbenders as it was decided to keep them in secret for the moment and their safety, but some of their members were too). The non-benders were equipped with some average sized electric guns (similar to the ones used in containing Titans or the ones that Jonah's mercs forces stolen or imitated), with enough power to stun opponents for capture alive and neutralize threats by non-lethal force, especially benders with electric shots or…eliminate dangerous targets blasting them with high voltage shots in some cases, like this one probably.

"Hey, what do you know? It really works!" Toph said astonished seeing everything around her with her improved vision, much better than before. She could even spot the tiny snowflakes. "I can see everything, and it's even better than before! And I don't get any cold feeling from the ice and yeah, I'm with my feet out like always as you can see." She assured showing her barefoot feet.

"I feel warm too, and I'm not using my airbending for it." Aang added.

"They got right with the suits, so let's focus on following our troops and aid them on the mission." Katara reminded them.

"Survivors! We got survivors!" They heard Barnes shouting in front and hurried on reaching them.

A medium group got out the entrance running, but it wasn't the enemy forces. They were the ones assigned to the outpost that got captured by Jonah's group and got freed by Sokka and Suki. The G-Team soldiers gathered around them and lowered their weapons when they saw they were friendlies.

"Control, we got the outpost crew." Foster reported by her com-link. "It appears they got free from their captors."

"It's everyone okay?" Aang asked to the scientists and others, with some of them nodding. "How did you get out?"

"The raiders took us prisoners inside the warehouse, but later a couple of teenagers got rid of the sentinels and freed us. We took advantage of the fuss and went here as fast as we could." One of the scientists told.

"Yep. That sounds like Captain Boomerang and Suki to me." Toph affirmed.

"Everyone, go to the transports behind us and tell Serizawa and the others what you know. The troops here and we will deal with Jonah and his mercenaries." Zuko instructed.

"Control, the rescued crew is going to the Ospreys. We proceed with the rest of the mission." Foster informed by com-link before turning at the squads. "Alright. Let's get inside at once, people." She encouraged.

And so everyone got inside the main entrance fast but smoothly. One part of the mission was already done thanks to the efforts of Suki and Sokka. Now it was only find and rescue them alongside Emma, Madison and last neutralize and capture Jonah and his troops. But such task was not gonna be easy and they knew it as they expected to find big resistance from the ecoterrorists inside the complex, but those didn't know what the heroes of the four nations could do now either. Meanwhile in some other section of the site' inside the teenage non-bender couple was still on the move until they encountered a squad of mercenaries that stood in front of them and blocked their path aiming their weapons at them.

"You there! Don't move!" The leader of the squad ordered, but the son of the leader of the Southern Water Tribe and the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors smirked at each other, having other plans in mind: engage them.

The teenage warriors were fast and direct with Sokka giving the first strike and hit with his boomerang, knocking down the leader of the mercs group. They tried to shot them with their electric guns but Suki threw her fans at them, wrecking the guns and leaving them useless while the throwing weapons returned with their owners. That forced the mercs to take out their melee weapons and get into closer combat, the specialty of the young warriors. The mercenaries tried to overwhelm them, but Suki and Sokka used their superior agility and speed to evade them and then hit them on their feet, legs and backs, leaving most of them unbalanced and exposed to other more precise hits. And no matter what kind of sword, spear, club or their close-combat weapon the mercenaries wielded none of them could match Sokka's sword as it cut them easily and leaving them defenseless for any of his strikes, not talking about Suki's new ability that she and her warriors learned from Ty Lee: chi blocking. Now that was something their opponents didn't expect either and were not prepared for as they fell to the ground neutralized when she hit them on the pressure points of their bodies. So things looked good for the teenage pair. However, another enemy squad appeared from behind and almost got Suki. She avoided the hits but ended on the floor.

"Suki, catch!" Sokka shouted throwing her his black space sword before making another adversary trip and pushed him against one his partners. Suki took the sword and used it to counter the attacks of the new foes and pushed them back while knocking off some one by one.

"Sokka, grab!" Suki yelled back at her couple while throwing her katana at him so he could maintain his fighting stand against the last ones of the first squad that remained.

Sokka stomped hard on one of the mercs feet and next he pushed him to the edge of the platform, who lost his balance and fall down and scream. Then he countered the strikes of the other two with the katana as the third one recovered the last gun intact and tried to shot at him, but Sokka saw that coming and put one of the other soldiers in front of him and received the electric shot instead, shocking the shooter as he shot down one of his comrades. Sokka took the chance to push back the other troop at the shooter, tripping on him and then he grabbed both their heads and hit them with each other, which left them unconscious. Meanwhile Suki was finishing taking down the remaining troopers of the backup group all by herself.

"I doesn't matter what the others say, you look quite pretty and astonishing when you take down the baddies." Sokka complimented with a blushed face, always enjoying seeing Suki in action and achieving victories. That made her blush too.

"Thanks, you're the first one that said anything like it to me. You've a quite unique sword. One of a kind." Suki thanked giving the black sword back to Sokka.

"Thanks. Yours is also very handy." He responded returning her the katana. "Let's keep moving."

His couple nodded at him and went to the next section to clean up of foes. At the same time, back where Jonah was with Emma and Madison…

"Come on, Ash. Make it snappy." Jonah hurried to his second-in-command, who was preparing some detonator for being linked to the bombs on the wall. Then the bombs sounded and beeped at the same time, sign that the detonator was ready to be used.

"Detonator ready." Asher informed.

"Let's go."

"Come on, Maddie." Emma said to her daughter while she finished putting the Orca inside its suitcase. Madison had a bad feeling of what's going to happen there, but her mother made her to move on before she could say anything.

"Move! Move!" Asher ordered to the remaining troops stationed there, initiating their leaving.

Meanwhile at some other sector connected to the entrance base Toph opened a door with her metalbending, more easily this time now with her enhanced bending, allowing the G-Team troops to enter and secure the two pathways leading to two different directions, with everything watched and monitored closely by everyone else inside the command Osprey.

"Wait!" Toph exclaimed, making everyone to stop before they entered the tunnels as it looked like she felt something. "They're waiting for us inside those tunnels up ahead."

"It seems they have an ambush prepared." Zuko deduced before turning at Foster. "Colonel, you and your soldiers go to the other tunnel. Once you get inside stand by and await our signal. We'll go this way."

"Yes, Fire Lord Zuko." Foster answered before turning at the troops. "You heard him. We're going that way, but just secured the entrance."

G-Team went to the left path while Team Avatar went to the one of the right. Once they got inside the troops proceed with extreme cautious and tried to not advance too much inside the tunnel but still in guard.

"Remember, eyes wide. We got friendlies in here." Foster reminded everyone softly. "We must wait now for their signal."

"Yeah. The question is what kind of signal it will be." Barnes wondered.

As for Team Avatar, they walked into the tunnel quietly and with eyes sharp on their surroundings except Toph, who seemed to know already where exactly were the enemies hidden.

"Alright Toph. Where are they?" Katara asked whispering.

"In front of us, hidden at both sides of the tunnel behind the walls." Toph revealed whispering, not impressed by their tactic. "You know, typical ambush tactic."

"Maybe, but they're still on ground. Both metal and ice." Zuko said, making the little earthbender to smirk.

"I know what you're going, Your Highness."

"Colonel, we've found where the mercenaries are hidden in both paths." Aang reported through com-link lowly. "We're going to get them out, so you and your troops get ready."

"Copy that." Foster confirmed and signaled everyone with hand signals to prepare their own ambush quietly.

Zuko tapped Toph's shoulders gently twice and she assumed the proper stands for her next move. Next she focused and then…all the hidden mercenaries were pushed toward the tunnel with great force by metalbending, getting inside through its walls and leaving them without the element of surprise and much defenseless. The same happened where G-Team remained still, now with the enemy exposed in front of them.

"Enemy contact! Fire, Fire, Fire!" Barnes shouted, giving the order to attack the enemy forces.

Because their cover was exposed that abruptly and without expecting it the mercenaries got too little time to react and counterattack, and the combination of the shots of the electric guns and mixed bending made things more complicated for them, what made much of them to get caught and forcing the rest to retreat.

"Ambush intercepted! Multiple enemies down! Enemy remnants retreating!" Barnes confirmed by com-link.

"Great delivery, Beifong!" Foster congratulated by com-link. "We'll proceed pursuing the enemy right now!"

And so G-Team began chasing the mercenaries on the run. As for the ones exposed on the other tunnel…

"Sorry if that felt harsh for you guys, but in case you don't know getting inside somebody else's house and take it just like how you've done is a serious crime." Toph reproached them with arms crossed.

"We'll ask you this just once." Zuko warned seriously. "Where are Dr. Russell and her daughter? Why you came here? And what do you intend to do with the Orca?"

But the answer of the mercs was only trying to assume fighting stands, although that was something the kids and teenagers saw coming anyway. So both Katara and Aang quickly used their enhanced bending to trap some of them on ice with icebending while Toph used her metalbending to do the same with a few others but with metal. The three remaining soldiers got wordless of what happened to their comrades seconds ago and tried to run away but they were pushed hard against a wall by the shockwave of a fire blast from Zuko. There was no doubt that their bending looked to be improved and much stronger than before, and so they. With that done the team continued forward. As for Foster and G-Team soldiers they were taking down the remaining enemy troops which ambush was ruined by Toph, and they got them in no time.

"Break right!" Foster commanded to her troops as they spotted new targets. They opened fire seeing that it was Jonah, but because they spotted Emma and Madison too escorted by him and his forces, the last one screaming at being in middle of the battle they were forced to hold their fire and bending. "Hold your fire! Hold your fire! We got friendlies!" Foster ordered.

The entire skirmish and battle was watched inside the Osprey. Mark couldn't endure watching her daughter scared and involved on that chaotic scenario, he couldn't stand there just watching and do nothing else about it. So he decided to leave the vehicle and go inside the base in search of his family. He knew it was dangerous and he could get harmed, but he had to try, that's what he felt: it was part of his duty as father.

"Mark?" Serizawa called noticing him leaving like others, but he didn't respond.

The waterbenders of the enemy forces blocked the way that lead to Foster, Martinez, Griffin and the others with an ice wall, taking that as their opportunity to take their leave.

"I want that ice wall melted now!" Foster ordered, making some of their firebending troops to shot some fire blasts at it and reducing it as a mere puddle. "Get down there and help Barnes with any injured of ours. I'm going after him. And tell Fire Lord Zuko, the Avatar and the others."

"Roger that." Martinez acknowledged, with him, Griffin and the rest of the soldiers retracing on their steps while their superior went after Jonah and their hostages.

At the same time Mark reached the main entrance running. He saw one of the electric guns on the floor and grabbed it in case he needed to defend himself, even if he wasn't sure how it worked exactly. Next he reached to the nearest elevator and pressed the button to call it. As for everybody that remained inside one of the Ospreys…

"Hey, guys." Chen called, noticing something else that their systems detected, which was coming from inside the outpost. "I'm getting an EKG reading." She said watching that one of their screens showed what looked like some vital lectures of a Titan. And knowing where they were said readings could only be from that Monster Zero. And it was increasing slowly. Like…it was awakening?

Back in the base Sokka and Suki continued on the move, hoping either to find where Emma and Madison were or rendezvous with Monarch's reinforcements. Unfortunately what they encountered in front of them passed the next corner was another group of mercenaries aiming their weapons at them, and this time the squad was large.

"Well, so much for Jonah's crew hospitality." Sokka said sarcastically as he and Suki prepared to engage their opponents once again.

But then a good number of the mercs were pushed hard from behind by some strong air gust and the shockwave made by some big fireballs, leaving these KO in front of the non-bender pair and shocking the rest of the enemy battalion. Then the remaining ones were caught and glued to the walls by some metal bars and pieces of the floor or neutralized by some big water whips.

"I hope we came not too late for the rumble." Toph joked grinning, being her, Katara, Zuko and Aang the ones who took down the mercenaries from behind.

"You came at the rightest moment." Sokka answered smiling as he and Suki reunited with the team, glad to see them at last there.

"We knew you would come." Suki added.

"Where are Emma and Madison?" Katara asked.

"Retained by Jonah and his men." Sokka answered. "They also have the Orca in their possession."

"Well, now that we're once again all together let's hurry to rescue them and prevent Jonah and his people to escape with their acquired samples of…what was it called again?" Aang said.

"Titan DNA, I think." Zuko responded, rubbing his head.

"No, I don't think so. For the position of the explosives they put on the ice wall it's unlikely to be the case." Sokka deduced.

"What do you mean with that, Sokka?" His sister asked lightly confused.

"I believe those guys intend to get this Monster Zero free." His answer made some of them gasp in shock and horror. "For what purpose? I still don't know."

"Another important motive to stop them." Zuko determined.

"About that…" Toph called, pointing at their front where another big squad of mercenaries appeared and took fighting formation, being benders this time.

"We don't have time for this!"

"I'll handle them." Aang decided walking at them.

After a few steps and making his stand for fighting Aang took a deep breath. Next he took a lot of air while focusing on his throat to endure the pressure and assimilate it…and then he released from his mouth a powerful sonic scream at the rogue benders. It was so strong that forced his friends to cover their ears but their foes were the ones who got the worse part receiving the blast, which took down most of them. That's how Aang showed his new secret learnt skill: soundbending. The rest of the mercenaries that were still on their feet got shocked and panicked of what they saw with their eyes before they tried to counterattack, but it became foolish and futile. Aang managed to fire a couple of sonic blasts more from his mouth of less intensity, but strong enough to take down a couple of enemies before the Avatar decided to engage the remaining soldiers with a more physical and direct approach. Combining movements from airbending and firebending Aang was able to fire quick and accurate sonic blasts with his hands, fists and feet at his adversaries, and said blasts were too fast and strong for them to handle and with no time to evade them. The sonic blasts were so strong that even disintegrated the fire blasts, water streams and boulders that the mercenary benders launched at him at contact. It was something none of them haven't encountered before and so were defenseless against it. The remaining enemy benders got too alarmed seeing that they had no chance against the Avatar's new bending power and tried to run away, but they got knocked out by one last sonic blast that Aang fired from his hands. The young Avatar recovered his composure and smiled at the results of his special training with Master Malu, which became really good, excellent. The rest of Team Avatar got wordless of Aang's performance with soundbending, standing still there with funny jaw-dropped faces and Sokka the funniest of all.

"What…was that?" Suki asked hardly.

"Wow. I never expect soundbending to be so groundbreaking." Toph said very impressed.

"Soundbending?!" Sokka repeated in shock. "Aang discovered a brand new bending type on his own on our absence?!"

"No, I just learned it from my new airbending master. The one that discovered it." Aang answered.

"I guess your special airbending training got better than expected. Now let's keep going so we can give it a good use rescuing Maddie and Emma." Katara replied as they got on the move again.

"Yeah. I can't wait to see Jonah blasted out by one of those blasts." Toph supported.

"Wait, what do you mean with airbending master? And why all your bending seems way stronger than before? And what about your cool new outfits?" Sokka kept asking with lots of curiosity and desire to know what he had missed.

"Long story and no time to explain now! We've to hurry!" Zuko concluded.

"Wait!" Toph called, making everyone to stop and turn at her. "Someone is coming after us." She said pointing at where they came. "And I know who it is."

The group saw then Mark coming in the same tunnel they stood in.

"Wow, looks like they got unlucky for encountering you guys." Mark expressed looking at the neutralized rogue soldiers.

"Dr. Russell? What are you doing here?!" Katara asked stunned.

"Searching for Emma and Madison, just like you."

"No way! It's too dangerous! You should stay out of here with Serizawa and the others." Zuko insisted.

"I can't do it! Please, I can't stand there and do nothing while my family is in peril." Mark begged. "You guys know that more than anyone else, the same as I know you that you wanna help Emma and Maddie as much as I do."

And he was right on that, with the group turning at each other with shameful faces and remorse. They always did what they had to do in order to help, protect and save their loved ones and friends in their time, no matter how bad the situation was or what others told them to do. Besides, a parent's love for its child and its desire to protect it was a really strong force, one that shouldn't have to be underestimated.

Zuko sighed in defeat. "Alright, but you'll stay behind us at all time and very close. And don't do anything risky and reckless." He instructed very serious, with Mark nodding. It was better than nothing. "Let's continue."

"If we find Jonah and his second-in-command, we'll find Emma and Madison." Sokka reminded.

And the group got on the move again, faster this time.

"Emma? Maddie!" Mark called.

"No, don't! You'll only alert them of our presence." Sokka warned low. "Are you stupid?"

"Colonel. We've found Sokka and Suki. We're on our way searching for Jonah and his hostages." Zuko informed by com-link to Foster.

"Copy that, Fire Lord Zuko. I'm pursuing him right now. Transmitting my position." Foster responded before reporting next to Serizawa and the rest of the scientific crew. "Control, this is Foster. Team Avatar has found their lost teammates. We're in pursuit at the main target and the hostages."

"I think I know where they are. They still have to stay on this same metal soil if they want to get outta here. This way." Toph assured, with everyone following her.

And Toph's intuition was correct. In fact, Jonah, his troops and prisoners were closer than they though, and the runaways didn't know that.

"Sir, we've a big problem." One of the soldiers that escaped from the failed ambush reported coming from another way.

"What is it?" Jonah asked.

"The Avatar and his group are here, in the base. They've neutralized our best squads. They're not responding."

Madison smiled at hearing that, knowing that Jonah was in real trouble.

That answer left Jonah really worried and tense, as that wasn't part of his plan or his predictions and possible outcomes. "We cannot face them here. Even if we could we wouldn't stand a chance. We've to leave now."

And the ecoterrorists continued walking faster toward where the elevator which they came was; unaware that someone already had an eye on their leader from above.

"Barnes, this is Foster. I've got eyes on the target." Foster informed lowly by com-link to her second-in-command hidden and quiet on a corner and on sniper position already, ready to fire at her first chance to take down Jonah with her gun once she has him on her sight. "Repeat, eyes on the target." She repeated as she saw the baddies going up stairs.

Asher went in front of the group as they turned at the next runway, somewhere near the ice wall from which it could be visualized one of the feet of Monster Zero, but suddenly a huge fireball hit the floor in front of them, forcing them to stop and retreat from the heat and flames. Next a big cold gust with snow blew at them, forcing them to cover more. Once that weird inside blizzard stopped, not only they found their way blocked by lots of big spiky ice shards pointing at them, but also Team Avatar behind the spiky ice blockade standing a few meters from it, looking at them with frowned faces and ready for the next round. Jonah now felt both his crew and himself like in real trouble, even if he didn't want to admit it.

"See? I told you they would come." Madison said to her mother smiling, glad to see them. Now she felt a little better. But her mother didn't look like her. Only surprised or shocked, but happy? Not quite by her face, as her real plans seemed to be jeopardized by their intervention.

"So, what do you have to say of your 'guests' skills compared with those of your men now, huh?" Sokka said to Jonah pointing at him with his sword.

"Alright, I admit it. I've underestimated you, more than I though." Jonah responded, even if he wasn't glad to say it.

"Don't feel so flattered. We leave that feeling on everyone that dares to fight us." Suki assured smirking.

"You said it. Now you don't look so tough having all of us in front of you and your goons." Sokka added smirking too before returning to fighting stance.

On that moment, Mark came from behind joining the young warriors.

"Let 'em go!" Mark demanded aiming his gun at them.

Asher aimed at him with his gun, but then Foster shot at him and took him down with an electric shot, dropping the detonator that he carried on the floor. Madison couldn't help but scream at the surprise attack.

"Ash!" Jonah exclaimed, shocked to see his second-in-command down as he aimed at Mark with his own gun.

"Dad!" Madison yelled surprised, as she didn't expect to see her father there alongside Team Avatar.

"Mark." Emma said, surprised to see her ex-husband there alongside Team Avatar too. Or better said shocked?

And suddenly…before Jonah or any of his troops could retaliate they saw themselves surrounded by hundreds of ice shards floating in the air, pointing at them and very closely. Some of these made from the spiky ice blockade, which was no more.

"Don't…think about it." Katara warned in a serious tone and with a frowned face.

"You and your minions better take that seriously, Jonah. My sister is the best waterbending master of the Southern Water Tribe and the world." Sokka assured, making his sister to smile at said comment. "But you already knew that, right?"

"You're all surrounded. Now drop your weapons!" Zuko ordered as the ice shards got closer at the raiders.

They were cornered and with no choice, so Jonah did as Zuko demanded: he dropped his gun and raised his hands as sign of surrender, which his men followed.

"Well played, and it was something really expected from you, Team Avatar." Jonah admitted with all sincerity. "I was indeed eager to meet you, Avatar Aang, as well you, Fire Lord Zuko. I only wish our meetings would have been in better terms and circumstances."

"I cannot say the same for you, Jonah." Aang answered sharply.

"I know who you are, Jonah. You were once colonel of the Fire Nation army and a spy agent, of course known by a different name." Zuko said.

"So you have been told about me already I see. Yes, I'm very aware of my past, one that I'm not proud of." Jonah replied.

"What do you mean?" Aang asked intrigued by that answer.

"Why do you think I abandoned the army? Because I saw what our nation had become. It was no longer the Fire Nation, but something different: savage, without morals, without honor, and almost nobody dared to question it, as if it was so hard to realize when it wasn't. All of us going down a path of disgrace and destruction for everyone and everything, us included. And it was all your father and his linage's fault, the ones who corrupted our nation's name, our home, our people and bending from the beginning. And the rest of the world paid the price for our incompetence."

"I know what my father did, and so my sister and predecessors…more than anyone else. But the path you chose to go down is not different than theirs, and not better." Zuko reproached, clear that he became some sort of extremist, like Jet used to be.

"Is that so? Or is it what the bosses and leaders make everyone believe?" Jonah questioned. "Like Ozai and his predecessors did back then? Or Long Feng and the Dai Li?"

They hated to admit, but he was right on that.

"I've seen many good soldiers and people been poisoned in mind, principles and beliefs by those who were unworthy of being their leaders: Zhao, Long Feng, Azula…and the list goes on. Always the same story that only fired up a nonsense war, causing the world and its creatures to suffer and struggle to survive the arrogance of humankind. No way I was gonna contribute to it more, so I decided to choose another path: my path, which it couldn't be worse than my so called old life."

"So, you're holding a grudge to your nation. It's that what you're trying to say?" Katara wondered.

"If that's the case it's nothing new for us. We've encountered a couple of guys clouded by such feeling." Sokka reassured.

"Don't get me wrong. My people and I are indeed grateful for what you did by putting an end to the war, like everybody else. But that was only the beginning." Jonah replied with great determination. "What happened on Ba Sing Se back there with the Titans was the world's calling. The call of nature. A call for a change, one that should have done very long ago. That's what our mission is about."

"What do you mean with that?" Toph asked, with no clue of what he was saying.

"Our mission is too much important for the planet, one that must be completed. And we are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure its fruition. Just like your quest to redeem our nation, Your Highness."

"You and I are nothing alike, ex-colonel. And sorry to disappoint you and your followers, but the only thing you're going to gain is a long stay in prison for what you've done." Zuko swore. "Once you set free the ones who you took with you by force."

"Maddie, are you okay?" Aang asked her, who nodded.

"Yes, we are."

"Emma, Madison, let's go." Mark called.

"Dad."

"Let's go. Emma, Maddie, come on." Mark kept calling them.

With Jonah and his terrorists immobilized by Katara's ice shards and unarmed Emma and Madison began walking slowly at Mark and Team Avatar on the other side.

"Come on Maddie, Emma! Come here!" Suki encouraged.

"You sure?" Madison said.

"Don't worry. I'm not letting him and his troops to make a single move." Katara reassured, making the ice shards to get a little closer to Jonah and his soldiers.

"Everything's fine! Come on!" Sokka encouraged too.

"It's alright. Don't be afraid." Aang assured.

"You heard them, Madison. Walk to us." Mark insisted. "Walk to us now. Come on, honey."

Madison kept walking slowly at her father and friends, dodging the ice shards that stood on her way carefully, but Emma wasn't following her daughter oddly as she stood still behind her, something that Sokka realized again and began looking at her with suspicious eyes. All this was observed by Foster on her hiding spot.

"Barnes, I've got two hostages, one target down." Foster reported by com-link watching everything from her sniper position. "I do not have a shot. Repeat, I do not have a shot. But the main target and the other enemies are immobilized by Katara. Repeat, all targets immobilized and ready for capture or neutralize."

"Emma, what are you doing? Let's go. Come on!" Mark called desperately.

"You're doing good, Madison. Keep going." Zuko encouraged.

"They can't do anything. They're already beat." Toph assured.

"Come on, Emma, you too! Follow Maddie!" Aang told to her mother.

"Maddie." Emma called.

"What?" Madison replied although she kept advancing to their rescuers, trying her best to remain calm.

"Madison." Emma called again, but this time she sounded serious. That made her daughter stop.

"What are you waiting for, Emma? Follow Maddie and come with us already!" Katara insisted, not understanding why she wasn't walking toward them like her daughter.

"Save it, Katara. She's not coming with us. She doesn't want to." Sokka responded serious at her side.

"What? Why not?"

"Because she's with them." Sokka declared, accusing Emma as he pointed at her with his finger and shocking his friends, Mark and Madison. Emma was shocked too, but not as much as the rest.

"Sokka, what are you talking about?" Suki said confused.

"Yeah, what's gotten into you, Captain Boomerang?" Toph asked too.

"Sokka, that's impossible!" Mark protested.

"No, it's not. She was the one who told them where Mothra and the Orca were currently. She was the one who told them how to bring down the security systems of the facility and infiltrate it to reach us. This is all part of her plan! Am I right, doctor?" Sokka pointed.

"Sokka, she wouldn't do that." Madison defended denying with her head. "How could she…? Why she would…?"

"When did you find it out?" Emma asked surprisingly, leaving her daughter, ex-husband and the team wordless in shock.

"What the heck?" Foster said for herself, as she also heard all that and got stunned too.

"For a while, shortly after we came here. You looked to work here without much difficulty despite the situation you and Madison stood into." Sokka revealed, confirming that he was right on his suspicions…once again. "As always I said, a leader has to trust his instincts, and mine told me something was wrong with you. You and Jonah seem to know each other well for quite some time, like some old friends."

"Well, I guess there's no point in keep hiding it any longer, no Emma?" Jonah suggested, confirming that he and Emma knew each other, making her to sigh in defeat.

"No doubt why you're the leader of the team, Sokka." Emma admitted.

"Emma, you…you betrayed Monarch?" Aang expressed in disbelief, as she seemed one of the last persons that would betray Monarch and work for some ecoterrorists. "Why?"

"How could you, Emma? After all you told us and shared with us, and yet you chose to join people like him?" Katara reproached her affected while pointing at Jonah. "What's wrong with you?!"

"She consorted with the enemy, that's the thing." Sokka clarified. "Maybe she's a lost cause already, but Madison is coming with us anyway. Whether her mother likes it or not."

"You're right on that, Sokka. Maddie, just keep walking to us." Suki told to Madison.

Madison nodded at her friends and continued advancing toward them slowly but steady. Emma was going to call her back again, but then she found some of the ice shards close to her and pointing at her, thanks to Katara.

"No, doctor! Don't even think about it!" Zuko warned seriously interrupting her and making her to back off and raise her hands. Now she was another prisoner. Next the Fire Lord turned at her daughter. "Madison, don't listen to her no matter what she says to you. Keep going until you reach your father."

"That's right. You're almost here." Sokka encouraged.

Mark nodded in agreement, although he was still shocked that his ex-wife; the woman he fell in love back then, the mother of his children was on Jonah's side from the beginning, and so was his daughter. She had fooled them all, but still why? Why she would do such a thing and put Madison through all that struggle? What could she gain by associate herself with a man like Jonah and terrorists? And which could be the purpose she had for the Orca if it wasn't for Monarch to use? The answers for such questions would have to wait for her interrogation. Anyway, Emma was now the one in a bad situation: her ex-husband and her daughter now knew the truth and that she was a traitor of Monarch, and so Aang and his friends. She, Jonah and their troops were trapped because Katara's superior waterbending, with no way to escape and the Avatar and his group were going to take her daughter away from her, and next surely take the Orca from her too in order to recover it and later confiscate it and finally take her and her criminal companions into some prison of her former organization. And she couldn't allow it, not with her real mission being so important for the planet and now possessing the means to accomplish it: the next step of restoring the true balance of the world. But what could she do? She couldn't move a single muscle because of the ice shards, and even if she could she wouldn't be able to do anything or take one single step, knowing that Toph would see her easily and intercept her in no time, so it was useless despite any option she or Jonah could try on.

"Hey, you guys hear that?" Toph said, as something else got her attention.

"What? I don't hear anything." Sokka answered.

"I'm telling you. I'm hearing something. And it's coming from…there." Toph deduced pointing at the ice wall.

"Toph's right. I can hear it too, but also feel it." Aang supported. "It sounds like a…a heartbeat."

"That can't be good." Zuko suspected.

And they were right. What everyone was hearing could only be Monster Zero's heartbeat. The pulse was weak but steady, which meant that it was starting to get awaken. That made Madison to stop walking and focus on it too. Emma saw that catching some of the attention of Team Avatar, besides of noticing of some hanging container right over them: a chance that she could use. Slowly, but very slowly Emma put her hand on one of the pockets of her coat, knowing that she had an small device linked to any system of the base which she could turn on or off at will by pressing its button, and she did. Then the doors of the container opened and its cargo, which was multiple metal pillars reserved for repairs on construction duties, fell all over the group.

"Watch out!" Madison shouted pointing at the falling construction pillars, making Mark and the young heroes to look up.

Fortunately, Toph was able to catch all of them in time with her metalbending, who was added by Katara that had to use her waterbending to turn her ice shards into big water streams to help lift the pillars up and made them fall aside. But when the group finished and turned back at front they stood frozen in shock of what they saw: Emma took the chance to retrieve the detonator on the floor, get Madison and put her behind her while the team got busy with the falling cargo.

"No Emma. Please, don't do it." Aang begged.

"I'm sorry." Emma only said with the detonator in hand. "Run." And she pressed the button, initiating the detonation of the bombs put on the ice wall.

The explosions provoked both a series of huge cracks that expanded through the wall and a chain reaction that made everything to start crumbling down. The tremors made Foster to lost balance and almost falling at the bottom if it wasn't that she grabbed herself to the edge of the platform by her hand. Seeing that some big ice blocks were going to fall nearby them Zuko used his firebending to summon a stream of flames over them as a heat shield. Katara helped him using her waterbending to melt the ice blocks or turn them into an ice wall to cover the group from the rest of the falling ice and debris.

"Emma, you traitor!" Sokka shouted at her mad as she took Madison and followed Jonah and his troops back to the elevator.

"Maddie!" Mark yelled, seeing her daughter taken away again, this time by his treacherous ex-wife.

"Dad! Guys!" Madison called even if she could no longer reach both her father and her friends because of the crumbling ice blocks of different sizes and with her mother dragging her back to the elevator.

With everyone inside the elevator Jonah and Emma's group began ascending toward the upper levels. Madison didn't want to leave her dad, Aang and the others down there and leave them to their fate but she had no choice, not after what her mother just did. The only thing she could do was watch them through the elevator's window. She got scared, wishing them to get out of there in time with their bending and feeling bad with herself for being so helpless, for not being able to do anything to help them or to prevent that disaster to happen. And if it that wasn't enough also knowing now that her own mother had allied herself with Jonah and his group of mercenaries by her own will. How could she? What was she thinking? And why she would do that? After all she told her about her desire to follow Aang's example and help restoring the world and ensure a better future for everyone, and yet she was in cahoots with a man like Jonah, which had no sense. Whatever the reason and how it become that way some part of Madison couldn't avoid feeling like her mother lied and betrayed her and the people that trusted her, believed in her. Meanwhile Barnes, Martinez and the rest of the G-Team soldiers arrived running at where Foster was struggling, still hanging on the edge of the platform.

"Foster!" Martinez called as he and his comrades arrived, being him the first one to grab her and pull her up, with the others helping too. "I got you, Colonel!"

"Get her legs! We gotta go!" Barnes commanded. Then he looked up to see a huge ice block falling over them. "Look out!"

The soldiers cover themselves for the hit when suddenly the ice block turned into floating water and next into a stream that went down fast and pushed Foster up to land on solid ground, back with her troops. The soldiers looked down to see that it was Aang who stopped that ice block before it could crush them and used its water to lift Foster up: their savior, the Avatar. Foster nodded at him grateful. Next Aang continued destroying ice blocks with airbending and soundbending; Toph used metalbending to turn anything of the structure into huge sharp sword-like objects to cut the blocks and debris, just like Katara did with her water whips slashing them and Zuko with his fire blasts.

"We have to get out of here! The entire place is going to collapse!" Mark exclaimed.

"Yes, but we must get our people here first!" Katara advised.

"Even if we gather everyone, how are we going to escape?! Everything is crumbling down, like Dr. Russell said!" Sokka pointed, trying to not get himself hysterical.

"I know how! Toph, make a bridge for Foster and her troops so they can reach us!" Aang suggested, with her nodding, fusing her big metal sharp tools into a bridge big and long enough and next putting it in front of G-Team.

"Martinez, Foster, let's go!" Mark called, making all troops to cross over the bridge swiftly.

"Move, move! Now!" Barnes yelled as everyone crossed the bridge and gathered with them. "Very appreciated! Any brilliant ideas to get outta here?!" Barnes said sarcastically as their situation looked really badly still. "Any suggestions welcome."

"Just one. Everyone stay close and still!" Aang warned.

"What are you going to do?!" Mark asked.

The answer of Mark came when everyone saw Aang getting into his most powerful form: the Avatar State. Aang formed then a powerful shield around everyone of wind and fire. Next he pulled some of the biggest ice blocks from below and put them under the bridge platform as an extension of their ground. The elemental shield of fire and air was so strong that every ice block falling over it was evaporated instantly.

"Wow, unbelievable." Barnes expressed in amaze.

"I never thought I would live to see a demonstration of the Avatar's power, and this close." Martinez added impressed. "Do you think we're going to...get out through the falling ceiling?"

"What? He won't!" Mark protested alarmed of such craziness. But then the platform began going up, with the part of the bridge which they stood on breaking from the rest.

"Yes, he will." Barnes assumed.

"Oh yeah, he's going to do it for real." Soka affirmed.

"Everybody! Hold on to what you can and the best you can! This is gonna be a bumpy ride!" Foster warned as everyone prepared for the ascension.

The members of Team Avatar grabbed each other and covered themselves, the same as Mark with G-Team did as the ice platform surrounded by the fire/air shield went up through the falling ice faster and faster in collision course toward the ceiling, making the soldiers and Mark to scream loud expecting the worse. Meanwhile Madison, Emma, Jonah and his people were already out of the outpost and running toward their Osprey, with the whole structure already collapsing and sinking to the bottom. The rogue group succeeded in reaching their transport, with most of them taking seats and the pilots preparing to take flight. As for Emma she opened her suitcase and took out the Orca.

"What is Dad doing here?" Madison asked to Emma, but it sounded like demanding her, like suspecting that there were more things that she was not aware, or that her mother didn't tell her.

"I don't know, honey." Her mother only said while she prepared the Orca.

"Let's go." One of the pilots said, making the aircraft to take off.

"We can't leave them." Madison pleaded, and her words seemed to affect her mother on what she just did.

"What are you waiting for? Wake it up." Jonah insisted, snapping her out and toughing the expression on her face.

Emma walked to the backward entrance carrying the device while dealing with the last touches of it. Madison couldn't believe it. She didn't remember her mother being that way. It was so…unrecognizable for her. But once she got at the edge of the exit of the aircraft she and the rest got startled by something rising from the icy ground with force a few meters in front of the entrance of the outpost. It was that moment when they spotted Aang getting everyone out safe and sound, back to the surface.

"You know pal? After this there's no doubt that you're the most powerful bender in the world." Sokka complimented to his best friend, patting Aang on his shoulder.

That left Emma, Jonah, Madison and the mercs without words of such demonstration of the power of the elements.

"They went out." Emma said impressed, although no smile came on her face.

"I knew they would." Madison said smiling, seeing them safe and sound regardless of what happened recently.

"Such raw power, something that only the Avatar could do. An incomparable gift of nature." Jonah admired. "No doubt my former leader was foolish attempting to confront him, as he was no match for his might. If only he could understand our cause, why we do all this."

"What?"

"Imagine it, Emma. If he had chosen to be on our side, our mission for the world would have been easier. The great things we could achieve."

"Ha, forget it. Aang would never agree with a man like you." Madison assured serious, glaring at Jonah with a challenging face.

"Madison."

"You know it's the truth, Mom." Madison insisted with the same tone, making Emma to back off a little.

"Well, guess she's right on that. That's why it's nothing more than a mere dream." Jonah admitted.

Meanwhile, back with Team Avatar and G-Team…

"It's everyone okay?" Aang asked.

"All good." Toph confirmed with a thumb-up.

"I think so." Suki said.

"I'm fine. Thanks for asking." Sokka replied.

"All thanks to you." Zuko said.

"Yes. Thanks Aang." Katara thanked.

"Me too." Mark responded.

"The same goes for us." Martinez affirmed.

"Yeah, we owe you one." Barnes added. "And…thanks for the ride."

"Indeed. You have our thanks, Avatar. Mostly me." Foster said with all sincerity, as she owed her life to him.

"We're not finished yet. We still have to go after Jonah and Emma and rescue Madison." Sokka reminded.

"Speaking of them, there they are." Toph replied pointing at the sky.

"Toph, this is no time for your blind yokes! This is serious!"

"Me too! I'm telling you they're still here. Up there!"

And she was right, because she was pointing at the captured Osprey far from them meters in the sky.

"But how did you…?" Suki asked confused.

"Oh right, you heard it." Sokka deduced. "Even with this blizzard?"

"Yes and no. I'm seeing them right there." Toph defended.

"Ah, Toph?" Katara called, making the earthbender to realize that Sokka and Suki still didn't know about her enhanced sight.

"Oh, right. You didn't know. I can now see things up in the sky." Toph explained her way. "You know, my eyesight improved by my new cool outfit."

"Oh, alright. That explains everything." Sokka finally understood.

"Then we still can stop them and save Maddie." Aang proposed.

"Yeah. Let's get them." Katara agreed assuming proper battle posture, the same as the others.

Suddenly a cracking sound got their attention coming from behind. Everyone turned around and saw the outpost sinking along with the ice as lots of giant red cracks began appeared around.

"That will have to wait! We're still not safe! RUN!" Zuko shouted, with everyone running from the falling building as fast as they could.

"Launch is up ahead! Keep going!" Martinez encouraged.

"Go, go, go!" Barnes added yelling.

Unfortunately the place sank faster than expected and the cracks expanded quickly threatening to take some soldiers down with them, but Aang and Katara used their enhanced waterbending (a little more stronger because it was a full moon night) to launch everyone as far as they could from the falling icy ground with water streams, putting everyone safe and sound again that way. Next they turned at their backs for the sound of cracking ice and metallic structure and covered themselves next from the thunderous noise and red glow of the huge explosion coming from the crater born from the destruction of the outpost. Little still remained of the former Outpost 32 of Monarch at the surroundings, and whatever remaining part of the main base that could survived the icy cave-in was consumed inside a fire cloud emanated from the crater's inside. But the real question…what about Monster Zero? What happened to it? Did it get affected by the destruction of the outpost? Unlikely, but at least all that fuss should have been enough to wake it up already, but still nothing.

"Alright, those guys have really gone too far this time!" Sokka declared mad. "And that includes Emma. Sorry, but it's the truth."

Katara couldn't help but sigh, knowing that her brother was right. "You're right, Sokka. Arg, I can't believe she did that!" She expressed frustrated for how treacherous Emma became.

"Well, you can lecture her all you want, because they're still up there." Zuko said pointing at the captured Osprey. "No more setbacks."

Emma looked at them with guilt and remorse, like what she was going to do was something she didn't wanna do, but for most of Team Avatar her face was that of a villain which real face was behind that fake one, something that both Mark and the G-Team soldiers also believed, and surely Emma deduced that. She also knew that they could take down the aircraft so easily, especially Toph with her metalbending and they would not hesitate to do that in order to capture her, Jonah and their mercenary companions and recover Madison. What was done was done, and now there was no turning back. Now with the Orca activated Emma put on the lower monitor a yellow-colored frequency, probably the one corresponding to Monster Zero and turned it on.

"Ah, guys? It's just me or you also hear some strange sound coming from what Emma's holding?" Toph asked. Suki and Sokka got alarmed, as they recognized that sound.

"I'm afraid that sound it's not on your head, Toph!" Suki reassured. "Sokka and I have heard it before!"

"It's the Orca! She has turned it on!" Sokka recognized. "Just like she did when she calmed down Mothra."

"And…she's doing it now to…" Katara said, but couldn't finish as she felt that the wind increased a little and blowing at her, forcing her to cover.

"Hey, what now?! Has the blizzard increased?!" Toph exclaimed covering herself.

But Zuko noticed the wind and snow blowing at ground level…and the most intriguing fact was that it was going into the crater. "No, it's not the blizzard. The wind is going into the crater." Mark and the soldiers saw that Zuko was correct, and that something was wrong.

"What?!" Sokka said confused. "Alright, blizzards really don't do that."

Everyone followed the trail of cold wind, which blew into the crater left by the destroyed outpost, as Zuko said. Once at the edge they spotted something strange in the center of the crater: the bottom was no longer visible and the remaining fire from the explosion was already extinguished because of some strange…huge cloud inside the crater?

"That…is neither normal." Sokka deduced.

"Yeah. That wasn't there before." Aang said.

"A cloud inside the ice crater?" Katara expressed in disbelief.

"I bet my uncle never heard something like that before." Zuko guessed.

"He and anyone. I'm no weather expert, but certainly clouds are born in the sky, no craters." Toph deduced.

Yes, it's impossible. I don't think the Avatar has done something like that before." Suki expressed.

Then a couple of yellow flashes appeared inside the cloud while thunder was heard coming from it, the same ones provoked by lightning inside storms.

"And that less. I knew Avatars were really powerful with elements, but make a storm? Now that surpasses its limits. I could never do that." Aang assured.

"Then…who's doing that? That's the question?" Katara replied.

"No. Better say…what?" Zuko corrected.

Serizawa, Graham and the others that were inside the command Osprey got out the vehicle, curious and intrigued by those soft growls coming from inside the crater and the storm cloud, and whatever was doing it, but they had an idea of the responsible one. Then, for everyone's surprise, shock and horror a huge spiked tail emerged from the crater, removing the remaining ice covering it and stretching its retractable thorns as the surrounding blizzard seemed to become stormier, but the lightning bolts in the sky were yellow, not blue, which was not normal, but that was the least of the things to worry about. Next another tail twin of the first one emerged, but it was what came next what got everyone petrified in fear. Not one, none two…but three threats in one emerged from the crater removing the ice from them: Monster Zero (Titanus Ghidorah) was awake. Just like Serizawa and the others told the Gaang this Titan was indeed a dragon, but very different to the ones Aang and Zuko knew back then, in the land of the Sun Warriors. This one was more reptile-like, completely lacking any mane of hair, not to mention it was way much bigger and frightening. The original firebenders were lizards compared to this one, and as anyone could see it had three identical heads. It was some kind of giant bipedal dragon with three heads on long serpentine necks, two tails, and two large bat-like wings at his sides, which was able to stand upright on his two hind legs. His body was covered in overlapping golden scales which, according to Monarch, actually contained trace amounts of gold. The membranes of the wings of the dragon Titan were gold in color, but were made of smooth skin and not covered in scales. The fronts of Monster Zero's necks were also not covered in scales, but rather skin with a ridged texture. This skin pattern extended to his chest. His heads had a set of horns on each side, with each of these having ten horns in total: five on each side and one of the right head's horns was chipped. These horns were slightly larger and more curved, while the left head's horns appeared to be straighter than the others, and depending of his emotions the horns could flare up or flare down, and there was also a small ridge atop each head. All three necks were very muscular in addition to being very long, with two rows of spikes running down the back of his center neck, while the left and right necks featured one row apiece. The central neck was positioned in front of his left and right necks. The body of Monster Zero looked thinner, with the outline of his rib cage visible through his skin. His eyes were red in color and each of its mouths presented a good row of straight sharp teeth. His mouths were relatively long at front (like most of dragons), as well the snouts and had the nostrils on their noses separated, typical fact of reptiles. Also his tongues were much similar to the ones snakes and some lizards had. He had defined arms that extended into his wings, with claws at the end of each fold and thumbs on the wings, much similar to the wings of bats with these being very large in size, as much as the rest of his body in fact and attached to it well below his hips. When fully outstretched, they could extend well above his heads and the beast could use his wings for support when standing at times, the same as bats or like pterosaurs used to do when they walked on land. The Titan's legs were large, long and thin but muscular, with his knees bent forward in such a way that he had a slight forward hunch. His feet had at least four digits with defined claws and his twin tails were very big, long (almost longer that the rest of his body) and muscular in order to maintain and balance the ginormous weight of the body, standing up in middle of the air and ending in spiky retractable fans or thorns as the young heroes and the other witnesses saw. Several locations of the body of the dragon Titan showed injuries: reminiscent of claw and scorch marks. The wingspan of the beast was so large that it couldn't be known for sure, added to the fact that the creature was 158.8 meters in height. That one was way bigger than Godzilla. Everyone got frozen in fear at the imposing and mighty figure of the three headed monster, which heads set eyes on them with fierce faces after removing the ice on his necks and looking at their surroundings, with the right head flicking out his tongue like a snake or lizard.

"I…I guess that's Monster Zero." Sokka said hardly and really scared, almost at the verge of panic while hugging Suki, and she back at him.

"And…and this time they're really looking at us." Suki added, also scared to death.

"And I…thought ordinary dragons were scary enough." Aang expressed in fear.

"You gotta be kidding." Barnes could only said, intimidated by the beast figure.

Emma also got intimidated by Monster Zero's awakening, thinking that probably was not a good idea, but too late now. Madison approached to get wordless of the shadowy figure of the three headed dragon among the lightning and blizzard turned stormy, almost unnatural. The dragon Titan then roared as one of its tails hit the ground nearby the group.

"Fall back! Fall back! Get to the chopper!" Barnes ordered as everyone ran away.

Mark, Foster, Barnes, Martinez and the soldiers ran back to the command Osprey while Team Avatar ran at their right to hide passed one of the remaining buildings that didn't get dragged by the cave-in of the outpost. Monster Zero's middle head let out a thunderous and sinister cackling-like roar to the sky as a yellow lightning bolt exploded while crossing through the sky behind him, certainly a terrifying sight to behold. Next the awakened scaled Titan got himself out of the crater and the ice completely before all three heads let out multi-pitched loud crackling roars at the humans, showing that this Titan was aggressive...and probably hostile. Most of the soldiers stopped and standing against the beast, both opening fire and with bending at the heads. Unfortunately their attacks did nothing to none of them. Some curious fact was that Monster Zero's three heads each had their own personalities; the center head was the one that acted as the leader, the one in command that guided the other two and the most serious of course. The right head was the most aggressive and tenacious of them and the left head was the most curious of the three as he showed approaching one of the soldiers and touching it with his chin. These heads were akin to conjoined triplets rather than a single individual with three heads, with the exception of some cases (like on some hard fights) with the center head taking the lead and control over the side heads, turning them like the middle one temporarily. Mark, Foster, Barnes and Martinez reached the Osprey and got inside.

"We'll do an emergency vertical take-off at max RPM." Griffin informed while preparing the vehicle to take flight. "Number two's still spinning up."

As for the struggle of the soldiers with Monster Zero the center head shoved the left head aside and growled at him to stop his nonsense and focus, with this one growling back in affirmation and submission. Next the center head turned at the right head, who growled at him in affirmation instantly. All heads and tails rose up several meters as the undersides of his necks glowed in a sinister yellow touch, like if he was charging something to later shot at the soldiers.

"Oh, my…" One of the soldiers cursed with a feeling of what the Titan was going to do next when suddenly Monster Zero emitted a short combined crackling roar before firing three huge golden electrical beams from each of his mouths at the same time at the humans, vaporizing them almost instantly among their screams.

That was his signature attack: the gravity beams. While the electric blasts were shot that also affected all systems of Monarch's Osprey, leaving them fried and not able to take off anymore and forcing everyone inside to cover from the sparks and short circuits. The lightning bolts were so powerful that even cracked inside the ice terrain, expanding through the surroundings underground. Team Avatar watched shocked and horrified what the dragon Titan just did to the troops: he executed them, literally. He did it on purpose, without being provoked or giving some warning. An ordinary animal would not do that. Not even the Mutos behaved like that, most of the times as they acted by pure instinct. Also, Aang could feel something about the awakened Titan, something…evil, similar to the Skull Devil or the Kraken, but even compared to those it was something else, bigger than just aggressiveness. Emma also watched horrified the fate of the G-Team soldiers from the rogue Osprey's hangar, didn't expecting the Titan to do something so terrible. And who was the responsible of such ending for those good troops? Her: she was the one who set that monster free and she knew it. That was totally the opposite of what happened back with Mothra. Madison also bore witness of the massacre unfortunately before turning her sight at the Orca. It was that device which woke up Monster Zero, and if it managed to calm down Mothra back in the ancient temple maybe it could do the same with the dragon, or at least do something to stop it? Meanwhile Monster Zero lowered his heads at the place where only remained the ashes of his humans victims to check that there was none single annoying pest alive before the center head looked at the Osprey where Mark, Serizawa, Graham and the others were inside and growled at it. While the right head sniffed the ashes the left head licked them a couple of times for a taste of share curiosity before the center head growled at it to stop its doing, making it to growl softly back at its leader in submission before all heads turned their attention at the grounded air vehicle. And so Monster Zero roared while he began slowly approaching dangerously at it, something that was noticed for its crew.

"This is Raptor One to Argo. Requesting immediate urgent extract." Foster requested by radio to the Argo, although the chances of reach it were low because many of the aircraft systems were fried, probably the radio too. "Again, I say urgent extract."

"Griffin, get us out of here!" Coleman exclaimed at her, who was already trying to stabilize all systems as fast as she could.

"We can't without Aang and the others!" Graham protested. "They're still out there!"

"She's right! We cannot do it!" Mark supported.

As the blizzard seemed to have slightly increased Monster Zero kept walking toward the Osprey, feeling that it could be more humans hiding inside, and probably because it was the first time he saw something like that. Team Avatar kept staring at it from their hiding spot, as it seems that the giant three-headed dragon wasn't aware of their presence yet because all the noise caused by the snowy storm.

"This is crazy! How are we gonna beat a giant dragon that has three heads and fires lightning from its mouths?!" Sokka exclaimed almost in panic.

"I agree with you, Sokka. I don't know if we could have a chance against it." Katara said a little discouraged after what she witnessed.

"And I thought the Mutos and the other Titans we encountered before were bad." Aang expressed. "This one looks much worse."

"You got that right, Aang." Suki agreed.

Back with Madison, she deduced that her father and friends were inside the same vehicle Monster Zero was approaching, and probably will do the same as he did with the soldiers or similar and she couldn't allow it, not with the means to prevent it in front of her. And if her mother was not going to do anything but just stay there and watch like nothing she would do it herself. Madison snatched the Orca from Emma by force before putting it on the floor.

"Madison! Madison, no!" Emma pleaded, but she ignored her completely while tapping some buttons of the device, modifying the frequency and transmitting it, just when the heads of Monster Zero were only a few meters from the Osprey.

Then the dragon Titan stopped in his approach as he looked irritated, rising up and roaring at the stormy sky while spreading his wings. Mark and Team Avatar noticed this and looked at the other Osprey, intuiting such reaction of the giant reptile was something made by the Orca, meaning that someone was giving them a hand.

"You need to let go of it!" Emma insisted, grabbing Madison and trying to separate her from the Orca.

"No! No! No!" Madison protested as she kept pushing and hitting her mother back with her hands, refusing to hand over the artifact back to her.

"Madison!" Jonah called, helping Emma to separate her daughter from the Orca.

"Maddie! Let go!" Emma kept saying before Jonah managed to hold Madison and take her inside while her mother recovered her invention.

"No!" Madison yelled while fighting to get herself free from Jonah but it was futile. "You can't leave them behind!"

Emma grabbed the Orca and got up before watching Monster Zero looking at her with his mouths opened and necks glowing in yellow, preparing to fire his gravity beams again and this time at her. She knew scared of what he was going to do and turned off the Orca in hopes of avoiding the attack, and it worked. The center head shook itself off after the Orca's signal turned off before turning at the right head and softly snarled, with it responding the same while shaking softly. Next the center head turning at the left head and bit one of its horns to take its attention and give him its answer, which was the same as the other head. Then all of them returned their attention on the command Osprey, still without power while Jonah's Osprey left the place. Madison could only watch in sadness and disappointment Mark and the rest of Monarch's crew at the mercy of the dragon while the hangar closed before closing her eyes and turning her sight away, still not believing that her mother did nothing at it and why she acted that way. As for Mark, who could only see his daughter taken away again with nothing that he could do about it… he and the others were now in big trouble. Monster Zero began hitting the vehicle with his snouts in an attempt to force the humans inside to get out, which shakes forced everyone inside to hold on what they could.

"Argo, this is Raptor One. We've been hit. All systems are down." Griffin informed, trying to call by radio again to the Argo, but still no response.

"Look out!" Barnes warned as they saw one of the heads of Monster Zero approaching at them for another hit.

Things were getting really ugly for them as Monster Zero kept hitting the Osprey with more strength, all watched by Aang and the others from their hiding place.

"We got to help them!" Aang declared.

"How?! You saw what that thing did to those soldiers! I barely can see what can we do against it!" Sokka replied.

"Hello? That's why we have these new outfits. Now we have a better fighting chance, so let's go out there and give that Monster Zero a good butt kicking!" Toph encouraged.

"You're right, Toph. Besides we're standing on ice land, which is all the water that you could need and more to take on that beast, Katara." Zuko reminded. "This is your terrain and there's full moon, regardless of that storm."

"You're right. But…after what you and Aang learned on your quest for your training, are you sure you wanna fight a dragon?" Katara asked concerned while the wind blew her mane of long hair.

"What I'm seeing is something more like my father turned into a dragon. Something that doesn't fit for the original and real firebenders."

"Alright then. Sokka, Suki, you two stay here. Everyone else, let's put our new improved skills to the test!" Aang proclaimed.

Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko nodded and ran out the hiding place decided to confront Monster Zero. The giant three-headed dragon gave another hit on the aircraft, still with no result. At the end the Titan lost his patience and decided to crush the vehicle and the humans inside with one single strike of all heads together. But while approaching the aircraft fast something unexpected happened: a swarm of ice shards appeared from the icy ground below around the vessel and fired up at the heads at high speed, taking them by surprise. The ice shards looked small at first, but they began getting bigger and bigger slowly as the avalanche increased. Monster Zero roared annoyed, but also in pain as the wave of shards began to nail on its skin despite the protective scales, and mostly on his necks, such an unpleasant feeling which forced the beast to move backwards while shaking his heads constantly in a desperate attempt to dodge the sharp ice rain from below, especially to not being hit in the eyes. After retreating a few meters the attack ceased, giving Monster Zero a break and try to search the new attacker with his heads looking everywhere, but there was no one at sight. That left the reptilian creature much confused: true that some of the humans he terminated counterattacked in some curious ways, but nothing like that. Next he lowered the heads to the ground in search for any clue of what was that weird phenomenon, and suddenly a few giant fire blasts hit the heads, making them roar and rise up before a couple of giant boulders hit it on his chest and took him down falling backwards. Now that was something he really felt. All heads raised and shook the snow off them, and when they turned at their front they spotted Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko stepping between him and the aircraft. It seemed to be those new four young humans the ones who took him by surprise somehow, and the dragon Titan didn't like that, snarling at them menacingly. How dared such insignificant creatures to stand against him, attack him and stepping on his way? How dared those beings to take him down and humiliate him like that? And how were they capable of such force while being way smaller than him? The dragon then sensed something big coming from them, something that he hadn't feel coming from any other of their kind before, which was strange. And that meant that those individuals could be threats to him, and there's no way he was going to allow that.

"Leave them alone, you beast!" Katara exclaimed loud.

"Yeah, pick on someone your own might!" Toph provoked.

(The Deep End, theme from KH3) (Titan Fight)

Monster Zero roared at the group while getting up, like if he understood what the girls said before raising his twin tails and shaking its ends, that way emitting a noise similar to that of a rattlesnake in an attempt to intimidate his new opponents. But it worked? Not much because the four young benders charged at Monster Zero, with him doing the same. Then Zuko fired three enhanced fire blasts at the giant dragon, with the heads confused of such demonstration of power from a tiny human and ending both hit by the blasts and covered in fire and almost blind, even in panic for the burning sensation. Next both Aang and Katara used waterbending to get fast at each side of the Titan: one right and the other left. Monster Zero managed to shake the fire off his heads, but then his left head was grabbed by a giant water whip made by Katara and pulled aside with great force. The two other heads tried to set it free biting it but it was useless before the right head was caught by another water whip and pulled aside by Aang. As the center head realized that he was trapped by a fire whip and pulled in front by Zuko. The combined efforts of Aang, Zuko and Katara became strong enough than expected from both them and their enemy, with the whips strangling his necks and making them harder to breath. In the end they succeeded in taking them down to the ground, mostly after Toph threw a giant boulder from a near mountain all over the monster's body. Serizawa, Graham and the rest witnessed impressed the young ones putting Monster Zero into submission from inside the still standing vessel.

"I can't believe it. They're doing it." Mark said in disbelief. "They're really doing it."

"It seems that Team Avatar has finally become strong enough to stand against even Titans." Foster deduced.

"Then we can consider X-Project a real success." Coleman added convinced.

"Indeed." Serizawa agreed.

And they were right. Thanks to their new power suits from Monarch, Team Avatar was now capable of fighting Titans more effectively than before and standing their ground against them. And if they could submit one like Monster Zero, which was considered as an alpha rival to Godzilla they could do better against anyone. But the most shocked of all was the dragon Titan, who couldn't believe that was submitted by such inferior creatures like those with abilities of such level that he didn't see coming, but…he wasn't going to fall without a fight. Thanks to his bio-electrical nature Monster Zero managed to channelize big amounts of electricity through his necks to the water whips and zapping Aang and Katara, making them to lose their grip on the side heads and pushed back a few meters with force, but fortunately they were okay thanks to their now enhanced durability (minus the fact that Katara got her hair afro styled, something she got aware and didn't like, so she used her bending to restore it). Then the right and left heads tried to bite Zuko but he retreated on time thanks to his fire rockets before they could get him, but that made him to lose his grip on the remaining head: their leader. Next the titanic dragon tried to squash Toph with his spiky tails, but she was faster and used her earthbending to dodge the double hit by rolling over a boulder. Seeing that the humans gathered in front of him again the draconic Titan had his necks glowing in yellow preparing to strike with his gravity beams again, but Aang reacted first swiftly and fired an enhanced sound blast at the base of his necks. The sonic shockwave resulted much stronger than expected as it not only managed to push back Monster Zero, but also to interrupt his beam attack by the choking feeling, lose his balance and fall to the ground. The sonic blast also gave him some temporary disorientation and deafness feeling, although he could feel…something: some kind of huge energy near him. While the deafness began to get off the head looked at their surroundings as they tried to track where said energy came from before looking up and seeing Aang with glowing eyes and tattoos, immersed on his Avatar State inside a sphere of giant ice blocks, boulders and wind: it was his own energy what he detected, the biggest of the four of them but this had something else, some kind of feeling or presence. One that the gigantic dragon had not felt since ancient times forgotten by everyone except the planet itself before he ended on his frozen tomb, and was very similar to his ancient rival: Godzilla. That made him realize that the little boy could be another potential threat for him. Monster Zero looked at the little Avatar with predatory eyes, frowned eyes and snarling before raising his tails and emitting the same rattlesnake-like sound along a combined triple crackling roar. Next he stood on his feet and spread his wings in order to look himself bigger and menacing, similar how a cobra opens its hood. Then Aang threw the ice blocks and boulders at the wings, almost making the golden dragon to lose balance again and forcing him to use his tails to nail on the ground and lower both his wings and heads to distribute the balance of his body. The dragon Titan got mad for that trick of Aang so he started getting his necks glowing and fired his gravity beams at Aang, but he saw this coming and flew fast out of the way of the lightning bolts inside an air sphere. Still firing the gravity beams Monster Zero followed the airbender, who went flying at his right side trying to hit him with the beams. Fortunately Aang was too fast for the dragon as he began flying all around it on a circle. The flying reptile Titan tried to hit him with a swing of his tails or with his jaws, but nothing: Aang was too sneaky for him. Next he began bombing Monster Zero with large fireballs, hitting it from multiple sides and making it to roar in pain and angry. This Titan hadn't faced such sneaky and annoying opponent, besides being so powerful despite his tiny size, and he could not tolerate it. Suddenly he began receiving more hits from below: Katara, Toph and Zuko throwing large water streams, boulders, metal fragments from the base wreckages and fire blasts. All those combined attacks forced Monster Zero to cover itself with one of its wings.

"What do you know? They're doing pretty well." Sokka said watching the fight with Suki from their hiding place, impressed of how the team was doing against Monster Zero.

"Yes. Whatever was that Monarch's people gave them it's sure giving them some good edge on the fight." Suki complimented too.

"Guess Team Avatar is already ready for fighting Titans sooner than expected."

Monster Zero struggled by the continued strikes at him from the benders until he had enough of it. After letting out a loud roar from all his three heads he turned around fast attempting to hit Katara, Zuko and Toph with a double tail swing which they dodged by crouching down, only to next look up and watch in panic the three heads ready to fire the gravity beams again, so the three of them used their bending to escape fast as possible before the beast opened fire at them. The three friends escaped in time, but each head followed them still firing the beam, trying to hit them and leaving them no option but to keep moving away from the giant lightning bolts to avoid being vaporized. As for Aang he prepared to shoot a lightning of his own at the monstrous dragon. He had never used it on the Avatar State and probably this was the first time an Avatar have ever done it in history, and there was no better time to do it as now. Aang's lightning hit right on Monster Zero's back, making it roar in pain while the remaining electricity channelized through his body thanks to his special scales. Because of his bio-electrical nature he could channelize the electricity through his body without being harmed, being practically immune, but the force of the blast still left some damage on him, something that left him shocked as all heads checked on the back, still feeling hurt. Suddenly the center head felt something landing on top of it, which was Aang still on Avatar State. The right head stared at him snarling while the left head glared at him curious. Both side heads growled at the center head at the same time, like if they were telling him 'he's on top of you.' After realizing Aang was on top of it grabbed at one of its horns the center head began shaking in order to shake him off, but the Avatar had a strong grip on the horn. Then the airbender fired a few fireballs at both side heads, who roared at him mad and launched themselves for strike him, which was what Aang wanted to do. Aang jumped out of the way before the heads of right and left bit the middle head, this one roaring in pain while Aang climbed down by jumping on the necks and ran toward where the others were to gather.

"Some neat trick you did, Twinkle Toes." Toph complimented.

"Sure, but it would get them angrier as well." Zuko warned without taking his eyes out of their scaled opponent.

"I don't know how much angrier he can get." Katara added.

After shaking the jaws of the other heads off him the center head roaring firmly at them both, like if he was scolding them for their foolish action. Next they turned again at the benders and roaring at them while walking at them. Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko prepared themselves for another round against Monster Zero, but then he stopped on his approach as the middle head growled, snarling and hissing while looking around, with the two other heads doing the same while retreating a little and raising up.

(End of The Deep End theme)

"Why they're not coming at us?" Toph asked confused.

"I don't know. Looks like something got their attention." Katara intuited.

"They sensed something. I wonder what it could be." Zuko wondered.

"I've a feeling of what could be. Or better said, who." Aang replied, smiling softly before looking at the same direction as Monster Zero was.

At the same time, inside the Osprey of command of Monarch Mark and the others looked at the scanner on the main panel in front of the pilots which registered a new approaching signal, coming at them in front. Also they saw a few meters in front of their position a portion of the icy land glowing in blue and emanating some blue vapor, with said light getting stronger from beneath the ice cape. Aang, Katara, Toph and Zuko took the chance to take their leave nearly back with Suki and Sokka before watching the glowing blue spot on the ice floor, as well Monster Zero, who snarled softly at it as that huge energy signal was quite familiar to him. Then the sound of cracking ice was heard coming from the same spot, or most precisely from below it…and getting bigger and bigger. Then the entire ice floor erupted in pieces as something huge emerged from below it alongside some familiar blue glow and soft reptilian growls. Once again a sight to behold by everyone inside the Osprey as another Titan appeared, and one that made Team Avatar to smile glad to see there on that moment. None other than their titanic friend and ally: Godzilla had arrived.

"Godzilla, he's here." Aang said cheerful

"I never thought I'd be so happy to see that colossus!" Sokka confessed happy too.

"Oh, you're in big trouble now, Monster Zero!" Toph declared confident.

Godzilla stood imposing as always with his mighty figure with the remaining ice and snow falling down his body as he put eyes on that old rival of his. Monster Zero raised his tails, making the rattlesnake-like sound again for intimidation and the center head frowned his face and roared at his dinosaur alpha rival while the right head growled sharply and the left head looked at the middle head like if he was waiting for his next command. Clearly he was not glad to see him, the same for Godzilla who looked at him with a frowned face of anger and growled at him back. After thousands of years, just when he believed that he had ended with that apex dragon, left in his prison of solid ice he stood in front of him once again free, and surely eager for a rematch. But for Godzilla, he was not some alpha rival, but something more...and much worse. Something that didn't belong on this world and had to be stopped at all cost. The dragon stood over his feet growling and spread his wings again, another intimidation tactic of his but it didn't work on his dinosaur opponent, even if he looked bigger than Godzilla although this fact made Aang a little worried. All previous foes of Godzilla (at least the ones the airbender and his friends witnessed) were smaller than him or the same size as him more or less, but this time it was a Titan that seemed to be bigger than Gojira, or at least when standing upright. And the aircraft where Serizawa and the others were was just in middle of the two reptile Titans.

"Now what?" Katara asked intrigued.

"Like Serizawa said: let them fight." Zuko proposed.

"Yeah, good idea." Toph agreed as she and the others retreated as far as they could from the incoming fight of Titans.

And so Godzilla let out another of his signature mighty roars at his ancient rival, with Monster Zero doing the same at him with all heads while both Titans charged at each other, something that was also spotted inside the Osprey.

"Everybody, hold on!" Foster yelled at everyone inside the craft to get ready as Godzilla passed over them, with his giant feet stomping hardly over the cracking ice and next pushing the vehicle aside indirectly with his tail and spinning on itself.

The good thing was that thanks to that Monarch's crew was now separated a few meters away from where Godzilla and Monster Zero were going to brawl. The bad thing was that they stood dangerously close to the edge of some giant fissure in the frozen ground, probably made when Godzilla appeared from the ocean below the ice cape and connected to such hole. Meanwhile the two Titans clashed, making some kind of amazing and epic shock-wave effect that forced the heads to fall back as more lightning crossed the stormy sky. Godzilla then grabbed Monster Zero's right head with his clawed hands and bit it with his jaws, making him roar in pain while the middle head bit Godzilla on his back and the left head just stood roaring before biting in the back too, which made Godzilla to growl in pain without losing grip of the right head and next hitting the ground hard with it. The force of the hit put the fallen Osprey stuck just over the fissure while inside all its systems got violently broken by all the hits between sparks and short circuits, not talking that parts of the vessel were torn apart and cables got out everywhere and adding more mess to that chaos. Some of these cables fall all over Mark, leaving him trapped.

"Mark!" Graham exclaimed seeing how he got.

Outside things were not going well for Godzilla as Monster Zero grabbed him with all his heads and started pushing him back using his body mass, getting dangerously close to the fissure where the Osprey stood still for the moment. But then the dinosaur grabbed both side heads with each hands and the center one with his mouth, weakening the grip and now being him the one pushing him backwards before giving a final and stronger at the dragon.

"They're too close to that fissure!" Suki spotted, pointing at the aircraft and some additional cracks forming around the place. "They'll fall if we don't do something and fast!"

"Well, looks like the Big Guy has things under control with those three-in-one, so let's go and get everyone out of there before the craft crumbles all the way down." Sokka proposed as the first to run at the aircraft and help the crew getting out in time, with the rest of the team following him.

As they approached the fissure Katara used waterbending for stabilize the ice around the vessel while Toph used metalbending to maintain the whole aircraft firm. While the bender girls did this Aang heard a familiar groan of pain behind him and turned back at where their Titan companion and his foe stood rumbling.

"Godzilla." Aang said concerned, watching that his dinosaur friend seemed to be struggling against Monster Zero who was already up again and pushing back Godzilla a few meters with just a tackle of his heads. The boy remembered well how hard was for Godzilla when he faced the Mutos together back on Ba Sing Se, and that golden three-headed dragon looked to be a stronger, tougher and adaptable opponent than the parasites were. So he knew there was just one thing for him to do about it, once again. "I have to go help him." And he went running off toward the battleground of the giants, much for the shock and horror of the team.

"Wait Aang, it's too dangerous!" Katara shouted, fearing for his safety. "Don't do it!"

"You don't have to risk yourself like that! Godzilla can deal with that dragon monster!" Sokka insisted shouting in an attempt to change the mind of his best friend.

"No! He needs me!" Aang responded shouting before performing a super jump with airbending.

"Let him go! He knows what he's doing!" Toph supported, making everyone else to turn at her stunned.

"What?!" Katara asked.

"Aang's right. Godzilla could use some help with that triple thunderbolt dragon. Besides they make a good team, I said it before."

"I agree with Toph. If any of us is up to that challenge is Aang, and we should start getting Serizawa and the others out of that." Zuko reminded, with everyone nodding as he, Sokka and Suki hurried on getting inside the aircraft.

"Alright everybody, let's get out of here!" Sokka ordered as he and his friends began helping Monarch's crew to get up and guiding them to the exit they made.

"You heard him, people! Clear out. Let's go!" Foster supported as she and G-Team also helped to evacuate everyone out of there.

"Go! Go!" Martinez encouraged while leaving the cockpit.

Graham went as soon as possible to where Mark stood behind all those cables. "Mark!"

"I'm stuck." Mark confirmed, unable to move out of that mess.

Meanwhile outside Godzilla was grabbed again by Monster Zero's heads and pushed backwards until some giant fireballs and boulders hit them on the right by surprise, fast and hard, forcing them to lose their grip and turn at their new attacker before some giant ice block hit him and pushed the dragon Titan a few meters. Godzilla turned at his left and saw Aang a few meters from him inside an air sphere as he was in the Avatar State again, who looked at him and gave him a smile. Godzilla groaned softly at him, apparently glad to see him again and counting with his help, just like he did before. Next the two of them turned their sight back at Monster Zero, who was already up again and he wasn't happy to see those two allied against him. On the contrary, seeing that his old rival and enemy and the little but mighty human seemed to work together made him madder, with the center head roaring at the duo before the other two followed it. Godzilla roared back at him while Aang prepared his next strike: the Avatar used his now uber-powerful airbending to launch a snowy hurricane-like gale directly at the three-headed beast, something that he didn't expected: he was the one who seemed to have provoked that storm, not the one struggling against it. Monster Zero tried to hold his ground against the great blizzard although he was pushed back a lot until he used his tails to nail on the ground and cover himself with his wings, but then Godzilla charged at him again quickly and took him down with a tackle. The dragon tried to counter the dinosaur pouncing at him but a few giant and strong fire streams hit his heads before and stunning them a bit while the fire covering them got the heads in panic, with Godzilla taking the chance to grab them all with his hands and mouth and threw him with all his strength against the nearest mountain, slamming him against it and on the ground. It was then when Monster Zero started to realize how effective the teamwork of Godzilla and the Avatar was: even if he was powerful more than enough to stand against the apex dinosaur the chances of him being the victorious one were lesser if he had to fight the two of them together, with the tables turning against him. And the apex dragon couldn't allow that to happen if he wanted to prevail, or even survive. Before he could receive another attack, Monster Zero turned around fast and took down Godzilla with a swing of both his spiked tails. Next he focused on Aang, growling and snarling at him while the little boy lifted a few more boulders and ice blocks and threw them at him, putting the golden beast cornered against the mountain as he tried to cover with one of his wings. But when the wing moved away and the three heads showed again their necks were already glowing, making the Avatar to widen his eyes alarmed of what was coming next. Monster Zero fired his gravity beams at Aang, forced to fly out of the way and fast to avoid the giant thunderbolts, but unfortunately a small electric stream from the main beams hit him, pushing him away and falling at great distance from there. But thanks to his new suit and enhanced power Aang remained with no serious injuries, just a little knocked out. Godzilla saw what Monster Zero did to Aang and roared at him mad as he got up while Aang shook his head and tried to regain focus from the electric strike. At the same time, back with the rest of Team Avatar acting like a rescue team half of the passengers were already out, just when Serizawa and the others heard Monster Zero roaring and turning their sight up, only to see Godzilla struck down by lightning and falling in front of them while Monster Zero stayed back with his wings spread and shaking his tails with more rattling sounds before he got hit and almost washed away by some huge stream of water, courtesy of Aang. The impact got Katara and Toph out of focus although stabilized the ice and craft in no time.

"I don't know how much longer the fissure will remain without expanding!" Toph exclaimed worried. "Especially with those two rumbling around!"

"Tell me about it! Serizawa, take everyone as far as you can from here!" Katara recommended.

"Understood." Serizawa nodded before helping the others to get up and leave while Godzilla raised his head and roared at Monster Zero before getting up again as the full moon appeared between the storm clouds.

Meanwhile inside the Osprey, Graham tried to remove the cables in order to get Mark free from there, which was not an easy task. Not until Sokka came and cut the cables with his space sword.

"Alright, that should do it." Sokka said before he and Suki removed the cables alongside Graham.

"Are you all right?" Graham asked to Mark as he got free at last.

"I got it! I got it." Mark confirmed. "Go, go!"

"Hurry up! Let's get out of here!" Zuko exclaimed from the exit waving at them to leave immediately.

And so Zuko, Sokka and Suki got out the Osprey alongside Graham and Mark as the last ones and just in time. Because after hearing another roar of Monster Zero and next Aang screaming from the distance they saw him launched at great speed and fall over Katara without giving her any time to react, taking down the couple. That made her to lose focus and the fissure cracked and became bigger, forcing Toph to lose grip on the aircraft, leaving it to fall into the abyss. Aang regained focus after shaking his head and saw over who he fell.

"Oh no! I'm sorry Katara!" Aang apologized as he helped his beloved girlfriend to get up. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I think I am. Nothing serious, thanks to my new outfit. But thanks for asking." Katara assured taking some snow out of herself with her hands. "And you?" Aang nodded at her in confirmation.

Then everyone saw Monster Zero with his wings spread while his right head fired his gravity beam at Godzilla's neck, with him groaning in pain and covering himself with his left arm as his tail landed in front of the group a few meters from them. It was obvious that Monster Zero seemed too much for Godzilla to handle on his own physically, so he decided to change strategy and use the most powerful weapon at his disposal. Once again the spiky dorsal plates at the tip of the tail of Godzilla began glowing in blue and slowly moving up his back to his neck and head through the rest of the plates with the same charging sound, but this time the glow was more intense than it was from how it was saw back on Ba Sing Se, being now as strong as it normally was. Once it was fully load and with his eyes and gills glowing in blue as well Godzilla fired his atomic breath from his mouth at his foe, which now was a beam of blue pure energy, way much powerful than when he used it against the female Muto. But the heads of Monster Zero dodged the blast swiftly by moving his heads out of the beam's path and fired back at him with their gravity beams, with their triple electric beam hitting Godzilla directly on his chest and taking him down, with him still firing the nuclear ray and accidentally hitting and destroying some remaining and surviving structure of the former outpost, forcing the survivors to cover behind a metal wall that Toph made with her metalbending from the explosion as the atomic breath ceased.

"Oh no!" Aang said concerned seeing Godzilla knocked down and pushed back by the giant thunderbolts at the same crater where Monster Zero emerged while groaning in pain. He and Katara moved fast there using waterbending to surf over ice as the dinosaur Titan fell into the crater after roaring, too late to prevent him to fall inside as they saw him disappear into the fiery pit. "Godzilla!" He yelled from the edge of the crater.

"He'll be fine, Aang. It will take more than that to take him down, I'm sure of it." Katara assured him and she was right.

Meanwhile a few meters from there Zuko, Sokka, Suki, Graham and Mark were still on the move to gather with the others.

"Sokka, look out!" Graham shouted alarmed as she spotted something and hurried to push Sokka out of the way and fast.

and then…in a blink of an eye she disappeared into the jaws of the center head of Monster Zero, who came from above and took her with a bite alongside a big piece of ice, forcing the teenage Fire Lord and Mark to stop while Suki went to check on her boyfriend before the two of them turned at what just happened. Everyone watched in shock and horror the main head of Monster Zero raised with the ice block still in his mouth and crushed it with his jaws while the right head took out his tongue and next bit some of its falling remains and the left head only watched it. Serizawa fell on his knees lacerated by the quick, unexpected and tragic fate of his pupil, partner and friend from many years who sacrificed herself to save Sokka from that surprise attack, but the most devastated of them was Aang who got wordless of what just happened to the one he considered a mother or him or someone like it or close to it still with Katara at the edge of the crater, who covered her mouth in shock and horror with tearful eyes. It happened so fast and he couldn't do anything to save her, all because of that monster.

"No." Aang could only say hardly as tears formed on his eyes and ran down his face before closing his eyes in sadness. Next he opened his eyes glowing, the same as his tattoos as he activated the Avatar State furious. "NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!" The airbender boy screamed really loud, catching the attention of Monster Zero.

Suddenly Monster Zero became engulfed by a gigantic stream of flames fired by the Avatar at full power and way more and roared in panic and pain: this time he was really getting burned. The stream was too powerful that also pushed back the dragon and put it against the nearest mountain and cornered, with no time to offer any effective resistance or defend himself with at least his wings. Aang kept increasing the strength of his flare as much of his could, even putting it at beyond the limits, at some point of countering and neutralizing much of the stormy blizzard and melt most of the ice and snow nearby into water and vapor. In fact, the heat was too intense that everyone around could feel it and were forced to keep their distance and turn their sight aside for a while. Even Toph was able to see it, just like it happened in the day of the comet. It was like he was trying to unleash the whole power of Sozin's Comet upon the winged three-headed Titan. Aang continued with the super enhanced fire stream for a while as he screamed at the top of his lungs. Everyone got shocked at the scene in front of them and nothing could be heard except the giant fire beam and the cries of pain of Monster Zero inside the cloud of flames as he struggled as much as he could to get himself free from that inferno, with only the heads appearing for a few seconds before disappearing again into the flares. But the Avatar didn't want just to overpower the beast. Oh no, now he wanted him to suffer. He wanted payback, to make him pay for taking a loved one from him. Everyone stood wordless of seeing him like that, mostly Katara as she hadn't seen him like that since Appa was captured and kidnapped by that tribe of sandbenders back in the desert. After a while Aang ceased the fire, breathing hard and snarling while glared sharply at where Monster Zero stood motionless almost, groaning and growling in agony with all his body covered in burns and flames. Now the dragon was too hurt that it was hard for him to get up, even by only moving it was painful for him. The human boy, still glowing in the Avatar State stared at the draconic beast with pure fury and hate in his eyes, but then he began breathing more calmed as he changed his expression to a concerned and affected look and closed his eyes. Next his tattoos ceased to glow and opened his eyes back to normal before looking in shock at his hands almost trembling as he realized what he had done: he did it again, just like back then with the sandbenders. Once again he acted impulsive and in rage. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder, which was from Katara, standing at his side.

"I…I…" Aang tried to say, but he was not able or didn't know what to say.

"I know, it's okay." Katara reassured. "Our hearts and feelings are important, as I told you time ago, but this is different from that time. Besides, he deserved it. And you had all right to do that." She affirmed glaring sharply at the three-headed Titan, just like Aang before turning at each other. "You go help Godzilla. I'll take care of this."

At first Aang stood lightly surprised at his girlfriend's words as he wasn't sure if she could handle Monster Zero, but despite his worries he nodded at her with determination and ran at the crater. Once he reached the edge Aang jumped right into it while entering the Avatar State once again.

"As for you…" Katara said turning at Monster Zero with a frowned face and gritting her teeth while walking at him with no fear in her eyes, with the Titan finally back on his feet again and saw the teenage girl coming after extinguishing the remaining fire on his body. "I'm going to put you back on ice! And for good!" She declared exclaiming at the giant flying reptile, assuming her stand and trusting in the power of the full moon to give her a lot of strength.

Monster Zero roared at her despite his burn injuries, unaware of what was coming at him. After taking a deep breath Katara began moving huge masses of water coming from melting ice and snow from everywhere and trapping Monster Zero inside some giant water mass swirling around it like a whirlpool or waterspout. The Titan tried to get out the water body but it was futile, swirling in panic and confusion despite his great strength and versatility. And after gathering more than enough water for the trap she froze it completely and instantly, with Monster Zero inside. That was some great performance of waterbending never seen before in the South Pole and from a member of the Southern Water Tribe, and less witnessed by anyone of Monarch. The young waterbending master smirked seeing that her plan was a success, being easier than she expected. Or that's what she believed…until a few seconds later cracks began forming and spreading all around the ice structure. Next it began crumbling down with Monster Zero getting free, with his heads spotting Katara and roared at her mad, leaving her shocked and nervous. Those weird humans clearly were much different from the ones the apex dragon encountered in the long distant past and they were getting him into his nerves. They were more challenging, brave and hard to eliminate and beginning to appear like a threat for him, something that he was not going to allow. Monster Zero raised over his feet despite the pain of his body burned and spread his wings again. Suddenly a shower of yellow lightning started to fall all over Katara, forcing her to retreat backwards with waterbending before it could hit her although a single electric stream hit her and sent her flying and hit the ground hard. Fortunately she had no serious injuries and only felt a little fried, besides of having her hair afro styled again, which she got aware and undone it with her power. It was like if Monster Zero summoned those lightnings against her. While Katara got on her feet again Toph and Zuko joined her for preparing for another strike of Monster Zero, who lowered his heads and necks while glaring sharply at them. But then a couple of missiles hit the heads without warning, increasing the pain of his burns and making them to roar angered at their left up in the sky.

"What was that?" Toph asked intrigued.

Sokka focused his sight at the direction from which the missiles came. "There's something big up in the sky, and it's coming with some new advance planes." He said pointing at their right.

"It's the Argo." Zuko recognized smiling, making Katara and Toph to smile too glad. Suki and Sokka looked at each other in confusion, as they didn't know what the Argo was.

Indeed were the Argo and Gold Squadron that came as reinforcements and began firing missiles at Monster Zero, forcing him to cover himself under his left wing and shake his tails with the rattle sound again as he didn't expect an attack like this out of nowhere. One of the missiles bounced on the wing and flew out of control dangerously close to where Mark stood, pushing him back and hard with the explosion's shockwave against a metal wall from behind, with him beginning to lose consciousness on the snowy floor because the hit but still stable. Most of Gold Squadron passed around Monster Zero very fast, giving him no time to retaliate. Then the center head turned at his place of emergence: the crater and saw Godzilla emerging from it and back on solid ground. He roared at him as the other two heads turned at his same direction with Godzilla roaring at him back as well, ready for round 2 and with Aang at his right inside a sphere of wind again and on Avatar State. Aang managed to lift up Godzilla from the bottom of the hole with a giant ice block under his feet up back to the surface like an elevator. Even if his burned body ended up healing, which it could do, it would make no difference for Monster Zero if he had to face both Godzilla and the Avatar again, not talking about the enhanced benders and G-Team backup and he was too weak for keep fighting thanks to Aang's previous fiery attack. Knowing that on his current situation he would be no match for that mighty duo Monster Zero had only one choice. So as Godzilla began approaching at his opponent, with Aang following him closely Monster Zero looked at the sky through his main head, spread his wings and took flight before any of his adversaries could do anything, disappearing into the stormy sky and between the flash of lightning in the clouds. The beating of his wings was enough to push Aang down back to the ground and snap him out the Avatar State, as he didn't expect it to fly off immediately but fortunately he remained unharmed. After seeing his old rival flying away Godzilla roared at the stormy skies loud, seeming frustrated of the fact that he was so close to get Monster Zero and yet he got away in front of him. Later he softly turned his head at where Aang was with a relaxed face, who also looked at him and nodded with his head, which surprisingly Godzilla did too before turning around and walking away from the place. The little boy deduced that there should be some personal matter of Godzilla regarding that Monster Zero, and that kind of issue had to be important for him and his friends as well. Next the young airbender became depressed and discouraged as he remembered the recent lost he had suffered. Next he turned around and saw his beloved Katara a few meters from him looking at him with a concerned face and the wind blowing her mane of long hair. Aang couldn't contain the tears anymore as Katara walked at him and embraced him into a hug in order to comfort him the best she could with him returning it to her crying, although she was also affected by what happened to Graham with tearful eyes. Their friends watched them in silence sharing their same feeling of grief, and so were Monarch's crew and G-Team while more Ospreys came flying from above to pick everybody and bring them back to the Argo, with nobody aware of big, dark and stormy days ahead. Emma released that Monster Zero out of his frozen tomb…that was a big mistake, and nobody knew what kind of huge devastating threat that represented for the planet minus Godzilla. Both the Hundred Year War and the worldwide crisis provoked by the Mutos would be nothing compared to what was coming, as it could mean the end of the new achieved balance in the world…and the world itself too.

So that's it, that goes the first encounter and fight of Team Avatar with Monster Zero. Well, I mean Ghidorah but you people know that, so I hope you enjoyed it and you know for sure what it's coming on the next chapter. As for new and special signature outfits of Team Avatar they are like some combination of the tech suits wore by the Jaegers' pilots in the Pacific Rim franchise and the ones from Tron: Legacy. I feel like from now on I'm gonna be very busy with personal matters: especially work and probably study again, so you can expect the next chapters to take a while to come, so please don't be impatient because it's not going to be easy for me neither.
