AN: Kept you waiting huh?

Kiana hates this

well, kinda

Kiana hates being confined to a wheelchair and being blindfolded

But it was required in order to keep her safe from whatever Otto would undoubtedly pull if there was even the slightest sign that Kiana was more than what he expected that she was

As such she's supposed to be wearing a blindfold for at least the next 2 weeks in order to avoid suspicion

Which in turn means that she needs to be wheeled around in a wheelchair by Hua or Ana

Kiana didn't need to see herself to know that she was frowning (read: pouting)

Technically she is exempt from going to classes, but she doesn't want to sit around in the dorm house all day, besides she's avoiding Mei

The purple haired girl has tried to latch onto Kiana twice (that she knows of, Kiana's pretty sure she heard the sound of a window breaking) yesterday alone and that was literally the day after she was discharged from the med-bay

She also hasn't felt Bronya around much either. No, that's not true, she's felt the gray haired girl around the dorm house but it seems like she's avoiding her, which was weird since she sensed the gray haired girl was standing outside her room for a solid ten minutes before she went to her own room last night

So yes, Kiana would much rather sit in class, in her wheelchair, right between Hua and Ana, listening to the lesson

Now that she's caught up with classes, she can actually follow what's being taught without much difficulty, although it turns out the visuals from the slides and the textbooks help a lot with understanding what's being taught

Oh well, she can just look through Hua or Ana's notes later in the privacy of her room

She couldn't wait till next week since she can at least "function normally" albeit with a pair of tinted goggles on to "protect her eyes" at that point

Location: Dorm House

This is awkward

Hua and Ana got held back at school by Theresa and Himeko along with Mei and Bronya for some reason, she'll have to ask them what that was about later

But right now shes at home with the one person that she's been successfully avoiding like a plague since he joined

Kiana has once admitted to Ana that 'yes, Kaine isn't a bad person' after the older girl had asked her about the boy in question over and over, over the course of a month

Kiana had admitted that based on every thing that she's seen and heard about the boy in question up till that point and that opinion hasn't changed

For goodness sake, the boy is her aunt Theresa's son, adopted or otherwise, so he shouldn't be a bad person if he was raised right, and it would take a miracle to raise him wrong considering who his mother is

But, even with all that, Kiana still doesn't like him

Something about him rubbed her the wrong way the day she first saw him and that feeling never went away despite the amount of time that has passed

Hell, she could tell that he wanted to talk to her

and if she wasn't as good as she was at blending in to the background, she would have had talked to him by now

She heard him sigh, again, for what was the fifth time in what felt like an hour

"Alright", she says out loud, finally biting the bullet that she's been avoiding for months now "What's with you?"

"huh?"

"You've sighed, five times in the last hour…" Kiana pauses, "or at least what felt like an hour since we came back home"

"It's been twenty five minutes…"

"That's even worse!"

"Sorry!"

Later

"Girl, You need to chill" Ana said to Kiana once they were in her room, "Kainey isn't that bad, the whole load of repressed annoyance and frustration aside, he's a good kid"

Kiana groans, "i know but i just… hate that guy"

"To be fair" Hua chimes in, "statistically speaking, even if a person were to the most likeable person in the world there will always be someone who dislikes or even hates them"

"So Kainey is just that exception for Kia?" Ana asks

"Possibly, as far as i'm aware, he hasn't done anything to earn Kiana's ire" Hua says "well, if you don't count existing" Hua adds with an amused tone of voice

"Very funny" Kiana pouts

"Don't worry Kia, there's plenty of bastards in the sea" she could hear Ana's grin when she said that, "i'm sure we can find a bastard for you to hate so you can aim that hate away from Kainey~" she says with a snicker

"Oh flock off!" Kiana snaps and swings her hand in the direction that she can hear Ana

She completely missed, but it's the thought that counts

AN: unless this end of the year turns out to be a very slow then this will most likely be the last chapter ill upload for this year
