### ***Chapter 35: The Secrets of Kazunami Mountain**

The early morning sun crept over the horizon, its golden rays bathing the tent in a warm glow. Inside, Naruto stirred, his senses slowly waking him from a deep, peaceful sleep. The crisp mountain air filled his lungs, and for a moment, he felt completely at ease. That was, until he realized something heavy—and soft—was pressing against him.

Naruto's eyelids fluttered open, and the sight that greeted him made his breath hitch in his throat.

Ino's voluptuous figure was pressed against him, her full, ample chest squished firmly against his side. Her arm draped lazily over his torso, and her soft, even breathing tickled his ear. On his other side, Sakura was nestled just as closely, her curvaceous hips and notably firm backside snug against his thigh. Naruto froze, his cheeks flaring a deep crimson as he realized the… *compromising* position he was in.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no," he whispered to himself, desperately trying to move without waking either of the girls. But as he shifted slightly, Ino's chest pressed harder against him, and Sakura's generous curves shifted in a way that made his heart race even faster.

"Why me?" Naruto muttered under his breath, his face now as red as a tomato.

Before he could strategize an escape, Ino stirred, her sapphire eyes fluttering open. A sleepy smile spread across her lips as she noticed Naruto. "Good morning, Naruto-kun," she said softly, her voice warm and teasing.

Naruto stammered, "I-I-Ino, w-why are you—"

Before he could finish, Sakura stretched beside him, her own emerald eyes blinking open. Her gaze landed on Naruto, and a mischievous grin spread across her face. "Good morning, Naruto!" she chimed.

The two girls exchanged glances, and in perfect synchronization, they leaned closer and said in unison, "*Morning, Naruto-kun!*"

Naruto didn't even have time to react before Ino grabbed his face with both hands and planted a firm, passionate kiss on his lips. His eyes widened in shock as her soft lips pressed against his.

"There," Ino said, pulling back with a playful smirk. "That's your good morning kiss from me."

Naruto's face burned with embarrassment, and he struggled to form words. "I-I-I…"

But before he could stammer out a response, Sakura frowned, jealousy flashing in her eyes. "Hey! What do you think you're doing, Ino?!" she snapped.

"Kissing *my* Naruto-kun," Ino replied smugly, tilting her chin up.

"Your Naruto-kun?!" Sakura's voice rose indignantly. "He's not yours! I'll show you how it's done!"

Without warning, Sakura lunged toward Naruto, her lips aiming for his.

"Oh no, you don't!" Ino yelled, shoving Sakura back.

The two girls glared at each other, sparks practically flying between them.

"Don't touch my future husband!" Ino declared, her arms crossed defiantly.

"Future husband?!" Sakura scoffed. "Naruto isn't marrying you, pig!"

Naruto, still caught between the two, waved his hands frantically. "W-Wait a minute! I'm not marrying anyone!"

But the girls ignored him completely, their argument escalating.

"You're delusional, forehead girl!" Ino snapped.

"Say that again, Ino-pig!" Sakura shot back, shoving her.

The scuffle quickly turned physical, and in their struggle, the thin fabric of their pajamas tore slightly. Naruto's eyes widened in panic as both girls' exposed skin came into view. Ino's impressive chest, noticeably larger than Sakura's, practically spilled out of her torn top, while Sakura's slightly smaller—but still ample—figure wasn't far behind.

Naruto's face burned hotter than ever. "I-I can't do this!" he shouted, scrambling out of the tent.

As he stumbled into the cool morning air, he could still hear the two girls arguing behind him. "You're ruining this trip for me!" Ino yelled.

"You're the one ruining it!" Sakura fired back.

Outside, Naruto leaned against a tree, his heart pounding in his chest. "What did I do to deserve this?" he muttered, burying his face in his hands.

A deep, rumbling laugh echoed in his mind.

"Kurama!" Naruto growled. "This isn't funny!"

The nine-tailed fox snickered, his voice dripping with amusement. "Oh, it's hilarious. You're surrounded by two gorgeous women fighting over you, and you're acting like it's the end of the world."

"Shut up, you stupid fox!" Naruto snapped.

Kurama chuckled again. "You're hopeless, Naruto."

Naruto sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I just need to clear my head."

He began to walk, letting the fresh mountain air soothe his nerves. The scenery was breathtaking—lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and the gentle sound of a nearby stream. Naruto's golden hair caught the sunlight as he walked, its long strands shimmering like molten gold. His lean, toned figure moved gracefully, and for a brief moment, he seemed almost otherworldly—beautiful in a way that even he didn't realize.

As he wandered deeper into the forest, he heard light footsteps behind him.

"Guess who?" came a playful voice as hands covered his eyes.

Naruto froze, recognizing the teasing tone instantly. "Ino?"

The hands moved, and Ino's bright smile greeted him. "Bingo!"

Naruto turned to face her, and his breath caught in his throat. Ino was wearing a stunning outfit—a flowing white sundress that hugged her curves perfectly. The delicate fabric danced in the breeze, and her long, golden hair cascaded down her back in soft waves. Her radiant beauty left him momentarily speechless.

"You like it?" Ino asked, twirling slightly.

Naruto blushed, scratching the back of his head. "Y-Yeah, you look… really nice."

Ino grinned. "I thought so." She held up a basket filled with a variety of delicious-looking foods. "I brought breakfast! Aren't I amazing?"

Naruto blinked. "Wait, how did you find me?"

Ino tapped her temple with a smirk. "You forget, Naruto-kun, I'm a sensory ninja. Finding you is child's play."

Naruto sighed. "Right… I should've known."

As they sat down together, Ino spread out the food, chattering cheerfully about how she had tricked Sakura into staying behind at the campsite.

"This trip was supposed to be just the two of us," Ino said, pouting slightly. "But *she* had to tag along and ruin everything."

Naruto shrugged. "I don't really care."

Ino leaned closer, her sapphire eyes sparkling mischievously. "Good. Because you're all mine right now."

Before Naruto could respond, Ino leaned in and kissed him gently on the cheek.

"Eat up, Naruto-kun," she said with a wink, handing him a plate.

As they ate together, Naruto couldn't help but smile. Despite the chaos, there was something comforting about being with Ino.

Back at the camp, Sakura paced angrily near the tents, her hands clenched into fists. The early morning had been nothing short of chaotic, and now she was left stewing in her frustration. "Where the hell did that pig go?" she muttered under her breath, glaring at the empty campsite.

Sakura had noticed Ino slipping away earlier but thought nothing of it at the time. Now, her suspicions were gnawing at her. The absence of both Ino and Naruto was far too coincidental.

Determined to get to the bottom of things, Sakura wandered into the nearby forest. The soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds filled the air as she stomped through the undergrowth. It didn't take long before she spotted them—Ino sitting far too close to Naruto by a gentle stream, her head resting lightly against his shoulder, and her fingers lazily tracing patterns on his arm.

Naruto, as oblivious as ever, seemed entirely unbothered, his gaze fixed on the flowing water in front of them.

Sakura's blood boiled. "That lying pig," she hissed under her breath. Without hesitation, she stormed toward them.

"Ino, you lying *pig*! What the hell are you doing?"

Ino turned her head lazily, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, hey, Forehead. What's with all the yelling?"

"You *lied* to me!" Sakura snapped, pointing an accusing finger at her. "You said you were going for a walk, and here you are, cozying up to Naruto!"

Ino shrugged, completely unfazed by Sakura's outburst. "And? What's the big deal? I'm just spending time with *my* Naruto-kun."

Naruto, who had been content to remain silent, immediately protested. "I'm not yours!"

Ino waved him off dismissively. "Future husband," she corrected with a grin.

Sakura's temper flared even further. "He's *not* your future husband! Stop saying that!"

Ino stood, brushing imaginary dust off her dress as she faced Sakura. "Jealous, Forehead? Maybe if you weren't so annoying, Naruto-kun would actually pay attention to you."

"Annoying?!" Sakura's voice rose, and her fists clenched. "You're the most obnoxious person here, Ino-pig!"

The argument escalated quickly, as it always did between the two. Their voices echoed through the serene forest, drawing the attention of a very annoyed Naruto.

"Could you two stop fighting for *once*?" Naruto groaned, standing up and taking a step back.

But neither Ino nor Sakura paid him any mind. Their shouting match quickly turned physical as Sakura lunged at Ino, who dodged and retaliated with a shove.

Naruto sighed and tried to walk away from the chaos, but before he could escape, both girls grabbed at him at the same time. The sudden tug from both sides caused all three of them to lose their balance, tumbling down the small embankment and into the cold, clear water below.

Naruto surfaced with a loud gasp, shaking his wet hair out of his face. "Great. Just great," he muttered, looking down at his soaked clothes.

"This is all your fault!" Ino yelled, glaring at Sakura as she wrung water out of her dress.

"My fault?!" Sakura shot back. "You're the one who started this!"

As they continued to argue, Naruto's face turned a deep shade of red. The cold water had caused their clothes to cling tightly to their bodies, and he couldn't help but notice how… revealing their appearances had become. Ino's ample chest was emphasized even more, her soaked blouse leaving little to the imagination. Sakura's curves were just as noticeable, her form-fitting outfit accentuating her figure.

Naruto tried to look away, but his embarrassment only grew as the girls' argument turned even more physical. Ino shoved Sakura, and Sakura retaliated by grabbing at Ino's blouse, accidentally exposing more skin.

"Don't touch me, you pig!" Ino yelled, her hands instinctively latching onto Sakura's shirt.

"You started it!" Sakura snapped, grabbing Ino in return.

Before either of them realized what had happened, their hands had ended up on each other's chests. Sakura's hand cupped one of Ino's full, soft breasts, while Ino's fingers grasped at Sakura's.

Naruto's face burned as he watched the scene unfold. "This is insane," he muttered under his breath, desperately trying to look anywhere but at the two girls.

Ino let out an involuntary gasp, her face turning red as Sakura's grip tightened. "Get your hands off me!"

"You first!" Sakura shot back, her cheeks just as flushed.

Naruto couldn't take it anymore. "I'm out of here!" he shouted, swimming away from the two of them as fast as he could.

The girls paused their argument, both watching as Naruto climbed out of the water and stomped back toward the camp, his soaked clothes clinging to his body.

Back at the camp, Naruto changed into dry clothes, muttering angrily under his breath. "Why does this kind of stuff always happen to me?"

As he finished tying his headband, he decided to take another walk to clear his head. The mountain trail was peaceful, the fresh air calming his nerves. But as he wandered, something strange began to happen.

A faint, unfamiliar feeling tugged at the edges of his senses. It was almost like a whisper in the back of his mind, urging him forward.

Naruto paused, glancing around the forest. "What was that?" he muttered to himself.

He continued walking, the feeling growing stronger with every step. It wasn't long before he came across a clearing, and in the center stood the ruins of an ancient shrine. The stone structure was worn and crumbling, covered in moss and vines, but there was an undeniable aura of mystery surrounding it.

Naruto's heart raced as he stepped closer. The whispers in his mind grew louder, forming words he couldn't quite understand.

As he reached out to touch the shrine, a vision flashed before his eyes—a young woman with long, fiery red hair standing in the same clearing, her hands glowing with chakra as she performed a strange ritual. Her eyes were filled with determination, and a powerful energy radiated from her.

Naruto stumbled back, his chest heaving. "What… was that?"

The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. "She was an Uzumaki," he whispered.

His mind raced with questions. Who was she? What was this place? And why was he being drawn to it?

Naruto clenched his fists, determination filling him. "I need to find out the truth."

But he knew he couldn't do it alone. As much as it annoyed him, he needed Ino's help.

He sighed heavily. "I can't believe I'm about to ask *her* for this."

###

The sun hung high in the sky as Naruto made his way back to the camp, his expression torn between reluctance and determination. His mind replayed the vision he had seen at the shrine, the red-haired woman and the strange energy that seemed to call to him. The realization that she was an Uzumaki filled him with equal parts curiosity and unease.

Naruto knew that whatever the shrine was, it held a connection to his family—a connection he couldn't ignore. But he also knew that his skills as a sensor ninja were lacking. He had never honed that part of his Uzumaki heritage, and if he wanted answers, he would need help.

Unfortunately for him, there was only one person nearby who could offer that help: Ino.

As he approached the camp, Naruto paused, taking a deep breath. "Why does it have to be *her*?" he muttered to himself. But deep down, he knew there was no other choice.

When Naruto reached the camp, he spotted Ino standing a little ways off. She had changed into a fresh outfit after their earlier mishap in the ocean, and now she was leisurely picking flowers by a cluster of wild blossoms. The sunlight danced across her hair, and her carefree movements gave her an almost serene elegance.

Naruto's gaze lingered on her for a moment longer than he intended, and he quickly shook his head. "Focus, Naruto. You're here for answers, not distractions," he scolded himself, though the faint heat creeping up his neck betrayed his thoughts.

Ino, who had been humming softly to herself, suddenly noticed Naruto's presence. Her eyes widened slightly as she caught him looking her way, and a faint blush dusted her cheeks.

*Is he… staring at me?* she thought, her heart skipping a beat. The corners of her lips twitched upward in a sly smile as she stood upright, clutching the small bouquet of flowers she had gathered.

As Naruto began walking toward her, Ino's imagination started to run wild.

*Is he finally going to confess? Is he going to ask me for something… intimate?* Her mind raced with possibilities, each one more daring than the last. She pictured Naruto approaching her with that shy, awkward charm of his, reaching out to hold her hand, then leaning in close to whisper his feelings.

*What if he wants… my virginity?* she thought, her face turning beet red as she imagined the scene. In her mind, Naruto's strong hands pulled her close, his voice deep and commanding as he whispered, "I need you, Ino."

Ino felt her knees go weak at the thought, and she shook her head to snap herself out of it. "Get it together, Ino," she muttered under her breath, though her heart was pounding in anticipation.

Naruto, oblivious to her thoughts, continued walking toward her, his expression serious. As he got closer, Ino began to fidget nervously. She took a step back, her cheeks flushed.

"What's he going to say?!" she whispered to herself, gripping the flowers tightly.

Finally, Naruto stopped a few feet away from her. Ino tried to act casual, brushing her hair back and giving him a teasing smile. "Well, well, Naruto-kun. Couldn't stay away from me, huh?" she said, trying to hide her nerves.

Naruto rubbed the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable. "Uh… I need to talk to you," he said, his voice a little awkward.

Ino's heart fluttered. *Here it comes.*

"What is it, Naruto-kun?" she asked, taking a small step closer. Her voice was soft, almost seductive, as she looked up at him with wide, expectant eyes.

Naruto hesitated, his face turning red. He wasn't sure how to word his request, and Ino's intense gaze wasn't helping. "I, uh…" he began, stumbling over his words.

Ino tilted her head, her smile growing. "Yes? What do you need?"

Naruto's blush deepened. "I… I need your help," he finally blurted out.

Ino blinked, caught off guard. "My help?" she repeated, her tone a mix of surprise and curiosity.

Naruto nodded, avoiding her gaze. "Yeah. You're, uh, you're a sensor ninja, right?"

Ino's eyes widened, and her lips curled into a mischievous grin. "Of course I am," she said proudly, folding her arms. "Why? Did you finally realize how amazing I am?"

Naruto groaned, running a hand through his hair. "This is serious, Ino."

Ino's expression softened, though her heart was still racing. "Alright, alright. What do you need my help with?"

Naruto took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "I'm… an Uzumaki," he began, his voice quieter now.

Ino raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, I know that. Everyone knows that. What's your point?"

Naruto clenched his fists. "Uzumakis are supposed to be good at sensing, but I've never really trained in that. And now…"

He paused, his mind flashing back to the vision at the shrine.

"There's something I need to find," he continued, his tone more serious. "Something connected to my clan. But I can't do it alone. I need your help to sense it."

Ino's eyes softened, and for once, her teasing demeanor faded. "Naruto…"

Naruto looked at her, his blue eyes filled with determination. "Will you help me?"

For a moment, Ino didn't respond. Then, a smile broke across her face, and her eyes sparkled with something that could only be described as admiration.

"Of course, I'll help you, Naruto-kun," she said, stepping forward and wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.

Naruto froze, his face turning bright red as he felt the softness of her chest pressing against him. "I-I didn't mean—"

Ino laughed, her voice warm and genuine. "Relax, Naruto-kun. I've got your back."

As she pulled away, she placed a hand on his shoulder, looking him in the eye. "So, where do we start?"

Naruto hesitated, unsure of how to explain the strange feeling that had drawn him to the shrine. "I'll show you," he said finally. "But we'll need to move quickly. I don't know how long the trail will last."

Ino nodded, her determination matching his. "Lead the way, Naruto-kun."

As they set off together, Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. For all her teasing and flirtation, Ino had proven time and again that she was someone he could rely on.

And as Ino walked beside him, her heart swelled with pride. She wasn't just helping Naruto on some mission—she was helping *him*. The man she cared about more than anyone else.

For the first time in a long while, she felt like she was exactly where she was meant to be.

The air was buzzing with tension as Naruto stood by the edge of the camp, fidgeting nervously. The weight of his earlier vision lingered in his mind, but his thoughts were equally distracted by the presence of Ino and Sakura. Ino, brimming with excitement, was practically glowing. She couldn't hide her giddy smile, knowing that Naruto had chosen her—her!—to help him.

Standing a few feet away, Sakura scowled, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. The sight of Ino's delight only stoked the flames of jealousy burning within her.

"I can help you too, you know," Sakura said suddenly, her voice sharp and determined. She took a step closer to Naruto, trying to pull his attention away from Ino. "In fact, I'm sure I can do more for you than *she* can."

Ino's laughter rang out, light and mocking. "Oh, please, Sakura. You're just jealous because Naruto-kun picked me instead of you."

"I am not jealous!" Sakura snapped, her cheeks flushing.

"Oh, come on!" Ino said with a teasing smirk, her hands on her hips. "You're *so* jealous. Look at you, turning red like a tomato."

"I said I'm not jealous!" Sakura retorted, her voice rising in pitch.

Ino leaned in closer, her tone dripping with mockery. "Jealous, jealous, jealous~."

"Stop it!" Sakura practically shouted, her hands clenching into fists.

Naruto, standing between the two girls, let out an exasperated groan. "I don't have time for this nonsense!" he said, throwing his hands up in frustration.

Both girls froze, startled by his outburst. Naruto rarely raised his voice like this, and his serious tone made it clear he wasn't in the mood for their usual bickering.

"Listen," he said, his blue eyes narrowing as he looked at both of them. "I need to figure out what's going on, and I can't do that if you two are busy arguing like kids."

Ino immediately straightened up, her giddy smile returning. "Of course, Naruto-kun. I'm ready to help you with whatever you need!"

Sakura shot her a glare but reluctantly nodded. "Fine. But I'm still coming with you," she muttered.

Naruto sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Alright. Let's get moving."

As they began their journey, Ino walked close to Naruto's side, practically bouncing with excitement. Every so often, she would glance at him with a dreamy expression, her mind already racing with thoughts about how they were working together.

*He chose me!* she thought, her heart skipping a beat. *He could've asked anyone, but he came to *me*!*

Meanwhile, Sakura followed behind them, her arms crossed and her expression sour. She couldn't shake the feeling that Ino was rubbing this whole situation in her face, and it was infuriating.

### **In the Shadows**

Elsewhere, hidden among the dense forest, a dark figure watched their movements from afar. A sinister grin spread across the face of Malrik, the orchestrator of the trap awaiting Naruto.

"This is too perfect," Malrik muttered to himself, his voice dripping with malice. His piercing gaze followed Naruto's every step, his mind already calculating how his plan would unfold.

In his hand, he held a small, glowing artifact—a fragment of an ancient seal. With each step Naruto took closer to the hidden shrine, the artifact pulsed with power.

"This will bring forth the great Nemrud, the King of Smoke," Malrik said, his voice filled with anticipation. His laughter echoed through the trees, dark and ominous.

From the shadows, a figure approached—a woman clad in dark robes, her eyes cold and calculating. This was Shiryo, Malrik's trusted ally and an adept assassin.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, Malrik," Shiryo said, her tone sharp. "If you rush this, you'll lose control of the summoning."

Malrik waved her off dismissively. "I know what I'm doing, Shiryo. Just be ready when the time comes."

Shiryo narrowed her eyes but said nothing, retreating into the shadows once more.

### **A Vision of the Past**

Back at the camp, Naruto had stopped in his tracks. His head was spinning, his surroundings fading as another vision began to take hold.

In his mind, he was standing in a clearing, surrounded by ruins. In the center of the clearing, a red-haired woman knelt, her hands glowing with chakra as she performed some kind of ritual. Her voice was steady, filled with resolve, but the words were lost to the hum of energy surrounding her.

The scene shifted, and the woman turned her head, looking directly at him. Her piercing eyes seemed to see straight through him, and Naruto felt a jolt of recognition.

Suddenly, the vision shattered, and Naruto was back in the present, gasping for breath.

"Naruto!" Sakura's voice broke through the haze. She and Ino were staring at him, concern etched across their faces.

"What happened?" Sakura asked, stepping closer.

Naruto shook his head, still trying to process what he had seen. "It's nothing," he said quickly, though his voice was shaky.

Ino wasn't convinced. "That didn't look like 'nothing,' Naruto-kun," she said, her tone softer now. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Naruto hesitated for a moment before looking at Ino. "Actually… I need your help, Ino."

Ino's eyes lit up, and she practically bounced on her heels. "Of course! Anything for you, Naruto-kun!"

Naruto scratched the back of his head, his cheeks turning pink. "Well, it's… kind of complicated."

"Try me," Ino said, stepping closer, her voice filled with determination.

Naruto took a deep breath, then began to explain. "I saw something. A vision. It's connected to the Uzumaki clan. There's this place… a shrine, I think. I felt something calling to me, but I can't figure out where it is."

Ino listened intently, her expression serious for once. "You want me to use my sensory abilities to locate it, don't you?"

Naruto nodded. "Yeah. I can sense a little, but I'm not good enough to pinpoint anything. You're way better at this stuff than I am."

Ino's chest swelled with pride, and she placed a hand on his shoulder. "You can count on me, Naruto-kun. I'll find it."

Sakura, who had been silent until now, stepped forward. "I can help too," she said firmly.

Ino shot her a smug look. "Oh, please, forehead. Leave this to the professionals."

Sakura glared at her. "I *am* a professional!"

Before they could start arguing again, Naruto held up his hands. "Enough! This isn't a competition. Let's just focus on finding this place."

Ino nodded, her excitement undimmed. "You got it, Naruto-kun!"

As they set off together, the tension between the three of them was palpable. But beneath the bickering and jealousy, a sense of urgency drove them forward. Unbeknownst to them, danger was lurking just ahead, waiting to strike.

### *

The ascent through the rocky trails of Kazunami Mountain was treacherous but eerily quiet. Naruto walked in silence, his thoughts a whirlwind of anxiety and uncertainty.

*What if it's a trap?* he thought, his jaw tightening. *Why does this all feel so... wrong?*

He glanced at Ino, who was leading the way, her sharp senses attuned to something only she could detect. Sakura followed closely behind, casting occasional wary glances toward Naruto, as if sensing his unease.

"Ino," Naruto called out, his voice breaking the stillness. "Are you sure we're heading in the right direction?"

Ino stopped abruptly, her gaze fixed ahead, her expression unusually serious. She raised a hand, signaling silence. "There's something... strange," she murmured, her tone low.

Naruto's heartbeat quickened. "What do you mean?"

"I can feel it," Ino said, her voice tinged with confusion and concern. "There's a chakra presence here, but it's... unnatural. It's like nothing I've ever felt before."

Sakura stepped closer, her brow furrowed. "You're sure?"

Ino nodded firmly, her blonde ponytail swaying. "Positive."

Naruto's own senses weren't as refined as Ino's, but even he could feel a faint, unsettling energy in the air. It was a prickling sensation at the back of his neck, like he was being watched by unseen eyes.

Without another word, Ino pressed forward, her movements deliberate and cautious. Naruto and Sakura followed, their tension mounting with every step. The path twisted and turned through the dense forest until it suddenly opened into a clearing.

Before them stood a massive stone door embedded into the side of the mountain. Its surface was covered in intricate carvings—symbols and patterns that seemed to pulse faintly with an otherworldly energy.

"What... is this?" Sakura whispered, her voice barely audible.

Naruto stepped forward, his eyes scanning the towering structure. The door was ancient, weathered by time, but it exuded an imposing presence. He reached out hesitantly, his fingers brushing against the cold stone.

"Incredible," Ino murmured, stepping closer. "Who would build something like this... here of all places?"

Naruto pushed against the door, and with a deep groan, it began to open. A cold draft of air escaped from the dark interior, carrying with it the scent of age and mystery.

The three of them stepped inside, their eyes adjusting to the dim light. What lay before them was a vast chamber, its size overwhelming. The ceiling stretched high above, supported by massive stone pillars adorned with glowing runes. The walls were lined with shelves filled with ancient scrolls and artifacts, their purpose and origin unknown.

The floor was made of polished stone, reflecting the faint, flickering light of glowing crystals embedded in the walls. A faint hum of energy seemed to permeate the air, making every hair on their bodies stand on end.

"This is... incredible," Ino said, her voice tinged with awe. "Who would go to such lengths to build a place like this in the middle of nowhere?"

Naruto scanned the room, his eyes narrowing. "This place... it's not normal. There's something off about it."

As they ventured deeper into the chamber, strange sights greeted them—an altar in the center of the room with markings that glowed faintly, a pool of liquid silver that rippled despite there being no breeze, and statues of figures with blank faces and outstretched hands, as if reaching for something unseen.

"This is beyond weird," Sakura muttered, keeping close to Naruto.

Suddenly, the air shifted. A soft, almost imperceptible sound echoed through the chamber, like the rustling of fabric.

Naruto froze. "Did you hear that?"

Before anyone could respond, a figure emerged from the shadows—a woman with long, flowing red hair that seemed to shimmer in the dim light. She moved with an air of grace and authority, her piercing eyes locking onto Naruto.

"It's her," Naruto whispered, his voice trembling. He remembered her from his vision. It was the same woman.

Sakura immediately shifted into a defensive stance, her fists glowing faintly with chakra. "Who are you?" she demanded.

Ino, however, stepped in front of Naruto, placing a protective hand on his chest. "Naruto-kun, stay behind me," she said firmly, her eyes never leaving the stranger.

The woman raised a hand, her voice calm but commanding. "There's no need for hostility. I've been waiting for you, Naruto Uzumaki."

Ino's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean you've been waiting for him? Who are you?"

The woman smiled faintly, her expression unreadable. "My name is Amaria."

"Amaria?" Naruto repeated, the name unfamiliar yet strangely resonant.

Amaria nodded. "I am a guardian of this place, a remnant of the Uzumaki clan's legacy. And you, Naruto, are the key to unlocking its secrets."

Ino bristled, her protective instincts flaring. "Listen here, Amaria or whatever your name is—Naruto-kun belongs to *me*! If you think you can just waltz in here and—"

Amaria didn't even glance at her, her focus solely on Naruto. "Follow me," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Ino's jaw dropped. "Did she just ignore me?"

Sakura snorted. "Since when does anyone care about what you say, pig?"

Ino whipped around, her eyes blazing. "What did you just call me, billboard brow?"

"Don't start with me, Ino-pig," Sakura shot back, her fists clenched.

"Oh, you wanna go, forehead?"

Naruto groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Would you two knock it off already? This isn't the time!"

Both girls fell silent, though their glares at each other spoke volumes.

Amaria watched the exchange with mild amusement before turning and walking deeper into the chamber. "Come. There is much to discuss."

Naruto hesitated for a moment before following her. Ino and Sakura exchanged a final glare before reluctantly falling in step behind him.

The echoes of their footsteps faded into the vastness of the chamber as they followed Amaria into the unknown, the weight of the mystery growing heavier with every step.

:

Amaria led Naruto, Ino, and Sakura through the ancient hall, her steps light but purposeful. They passed towering statues, glowing crystals, and carvings that seemed to tell forgotten stories. The air felt heavy, filled with secrets waiting to be unraveled. Finally, Amaria stopped in front of a pedestal carved from obsidian, its surface smooth and glinting faintly in the dim light.

"This place," Amaria began, her voice soft yet echoing with power, "was built by the Uzumaki clan centuries ago. It is a sanctuary, a vault of knowledge and relics created to protect our legacy."

Naruto tilted his head, skeptical. "Our legacy? Why are *you* here?"

Amaria turned to him, her gaze piercing. "Because I am the last of the ancient Uzumaki guardians, entrusted with the protection of something far greater than you can imagine."

Ino stepped closer to Naruto, her arm brushing his. "What does this have to do with Naruto-kun? Why is he the one you've been waiting for?"

Amaria smiled faintly. "Naruto Uzumaki... you are the chosen one. The one destined to wield the blade of Erin'dor."

Naruto blinked, taken aback. "Chosen one? What does that even mean? Why me?"

Amaria walked toward the pedestal, her fingers lightly brushing its edge. "Because of your bloodline, Naruto. The Uzumaki clan was not just known for its mastery of sealing jutsu; we were the guardians of the Erin'dor Blade, the most powerful weapon ever forged."

Sakura crossed her arms, skeptical. "And what exactly is this Erin'dor Blade?"

Amaria's expression grew solemn. "The Erin'dor Blade is forged from a metal called **Celestium**, a material so rare that it can only be found in the remnants of fallen stars. Its properties are unlike any other metal—it can channel and amplify chakra beyond imagination. The blade is said to resonate with the soul of its wielder, becoming an extension of their will."

Ino tilted her head, intrigued. "Celestium? That sounds... beautiful, but also terrifying. What's so special about this blade?"

Amaria nodded. "It was created to combat a great evil—a warlord named **Thalrik**, who once terrorized the lands centuries ago. Thalrik was a being of immense power, driven by a desire to plunge the world into eternal chaos. The Erin'dor Blade was crafted as the only weapon capable of stopping him."

Naruto narrowed his eyes. "So, what happened to this Thalrik guy? Was he defeated?"

Amaria's gaze darkened. "Thalrik was defeated, but not before he struck a mortal blow to the wielder of the Erin'dor Blade—**Kael, the Guardian of Light**. Kael was a legendary warrior, chosen to wield the blade because of his unyielding spirit and purity of heart. But as he lay dying, he knew the blade could not fall into the wrong hands."

Sakura leaned forward, captivated despite herself. "What did he do?"

Amaria stepped away from the pedestal, her voice filled with reverence. "With his final breaths, Kael placed a powerful seal on the blade, binding its use to a single condition. Only one person could wield it—a descendant of the Uzumaki clan, born under the right circumstances. This person would either bring salvation to the world or its ultimate destruction."

Naruto frowned, his mind racing. "And he said this before he died?"

Amaria nodded, her eyes glinting. "His final words were: *'The blade is neither good nor evil—it is the soul of its wielder that determines its fate. Let it be a beacon of hope or a harbinger of despair.'*"

A heavy silence filled the chamber as Naruto absorbed her words.

Ino's face lit up with excitement, and she flung her arms around Naruto, pressing herself against him. "Naruto-kun! This is amazing! You're so special—so rare! The chosen one!"

Naruto turned bright red, trying to pull away. "I-I'm not sure if this is a good thing, Ino..."

Sakura rolled her eyes. "Get off him, Ino. This isn't the time for your clingy antics."

Ino stuck her tongue out at Sakura. "You're just jealous because Naruto-kun is the chosen one, and he's *mine*!"

"Jealous? Of you? As if!" Sakura shot back, stepping closer to Naruto. "I can help him just as much as you can!"

"Girls, seriously!" Naruto said, stepping between them. "This isn't about you two. Focus, will you?"

Amaria chuckled softly, drawing their attention back to her. "Naruto, your journey will not be an easy one. The path ahead is fraught with danger, but you will not face it alone. I will guide you."

Naruto studied her, his gut twisting. While her words rang with truth, there was something about her presence that made him uneasy.

In the shadows of the chamber, far beyond their sight, a figure watched the scene unfold. **Malrik**, his face twisted in a malicious grin, leaned against a crumbling column.

"So predictable," he muttered to himself. His hand traced a jagged scar across his arm as he chuckled darkly. "Amaria, you've done well to bring them this far. But remember... fail me, and you'll wish you had never been born."

Turning away, he began to chant under his breath. A sinister aura filled the air around him, and a low growl echoed from the darkness.

"Come forth, Nimrud," Malrik whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "It's time to greet our guests."

##

The atmosphere inside the cavernous chamber was tense as Amaria led Naruto, Ino, and Sakura deeper into the ancient ruins. The air grew heavier with each step, the silence interrupted only by their hesitant footsteps echoing against the cold stone walls.

"There's something you need to see," Amaria said, her voice strained, a flicker of guilt flashing across her face.

Naruto's blue eyes narrowed in suspicion. "What is it?"

"A relic," she replied, her tone wavering. "A mural that might explain everything."

Naruto exchanged glances with Ino and Sakura, who both looked equally uncertain. "Fine," he said finally, his voice steady despite the growing sense of foreboding in his chest. "Show us."

Amaria led them into a vast chamber illuminated by flickering torches embedded in the walls. The light danced across intricate carvings and ancient symbols, all leading to a massive canvas draped in a dusty cloth at the room's center.

"This is it," Amaria said, approaching the covered mural. Her hands trembled slightly as she gripped the edges of the cloth. With one swift motion, she pulled it away.

The mural beneath was breathtaking and eerie—a masterpiece of intricate detail, showing a towering figure shrouded in darkness, its elongated claws reaching toward a golden blade glowing faintly in defiance. Surrounding the figure were countless shadowy forms, twisted and grotesque, as though bowing before their master. Above it all was a spiraling red symbol, reminiscent of the Uzumaki crest, pulsating faintly as though alive.

Sakura gasped. "What... is this?"

"This mural," Amaria began, her voice solemn, "depicts the prophecy of Nimrud, the Harbinger of Shadows. It tells of his rise... and how only the chosen one can stop him."

Ino tilted her head, frowning. "And what does this have to do with Naruto-kun?"

Amaria hesitated, then pointed to the base of the mural where an ornate, bowl-shaped engraving was carved into the stone. "This mural can only be fully activated with Uzumaki blood. Naruto, it needs your blood to reveal its secrets."

Naruto's jaw clenched. "My blood?"

"Yes," she replied, avoiding his gaze. "It's the only way."

Naruto stepped forward cautiously, scanning her face. Something about her demeanor felt off—the way her eyes avoided his, the tension in her stance.

Ino reached out, her hand brushing his arm. "Naruto-kun, maybe we should trust her. It could be important."

"No," Naruto said firmly, taking a step back. "There's something wrong here." He locked eyes with Amaria. "Why are you so nervous? What aren't you telling us?"

Amaria's shoulders stiffened, guilt etched across her features. "I... I can't..."

"Amaria," Naruto said coldly, his voice sharp. "If this is a trap, just say it."

Tears welled in her eyes as she whispered, "I'm sorry."

Before anyone could react, Amaria moved with blinding speed, a kunai gleaming in her hand as she lunged toward Naruto. His instincts kicked in, and he sidestepped, but not fast enough. The blade nicked his arm, drawing a thin line of blood.

"Amaria!" Sakura shouted, her fists clenched.

Naruto clutched his arm, his eyes wide with anger and betrayal. "You... you planned this!"

Amaria stepped back, tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry, Naruto... I had no choice."

The blood dripped from his arm onto the engraved bowl at the mural's base. The moment the first drop touched it, the entire room trembled. The mural began to glow ominously, the red symbol pulsating with an unnatural light.

"What's happening?" Ino asked, her voice trembling.

Before anyone could answer, the mural began to bleed—thick, dark liquid oozing from the carved lines, pooling onto the floor. The shadowy figure depicted in the painting seemed to shift, its form twisting as though coming to life.

"We need to get out of here!" Naruto shouted.

While they were going out, something caught Naruto's attention.

Naruto's attention was drawn to a dusty table in the corner of the room. On it lay a single scroll, untouched by time. Without thinking, he grabbed it, tucking it into his pouch as they fled the chamber.

Once outside the ruins, they paused to catch their breath. The night air was cool against their skin, a stark contrast to the suffocating heat of the cavern.

"This is madness," Ino said, pacing. "What just happened back there?"

"We woke something up," Naruto said grimly. "And we need to get out of this mountain. Now."

"But—" Ino began, only to stop as Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder.

She turned to face him, her cheeks flushing as his touch lingered.

"Ino," Naruto said softly, "I know you came on this trip to help me, and I appreciate it. Really, I do. But we're not safe here. We need to leave."

Her face turned red, but she nodded, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Okay, Naruto-kun. Let's go."

As they began to descend the mountain, Naruto pulled something from his pouch—a cluster of rare flowers, their petals glowing faintly in the moonlight.

"These," he said, handing them to Ino, "are what you were looking for, right?"

Ino's eyes widened as she took them, her fingers brushing his. Without thinking, she leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Naruto-kun."

Sakura watched from a distance, her fists clenched. She felt a pang of jealousy as she saw the way Ino looked at him. For the first time, she realized she might truly lose him to Ino.

In the shadows of the mountain, Malrik watched the group with a wicked grin. "The game has begun," he whispered. "And now, Nimrud walks among us once more."

-The tension in the chamber was palpable. Naruto, Ino, Sakura, and Amaria stood frozen, their gazes locked on the mural as it came alive. The grotesque, shadowy figure began to emerge from the cracked stone, its form twisting and expanding until it towered over them.

The creature that stepped out was nothing short of terrifying. His presence was commanding, exuding power and malice that made the air around him feel suffocating.

His beard was long and jagged, resembling strands of smoke and ash that coiled and writhed as though alive. His eyes were solid white, glowing faintly, with slitted pupils that seemed to pierce through the souls of those who dared to look at him. His face was angular, sharp, and unnervingly perfect, with an expression that radiated cruel intelligence.

The rest of his form was equally imposing. He was dressed in a flowing cloak that seemed to be made of shadows, shifting and swirling like smoke caught in an endless breeze. His hands, with claw-like fingers, crackled faintly with dark energy. Standing at nearly twice the height of an average man, he exuded an aura of absolute authority—a king of darkness and smoke, awakened after centuries of slumber."You," the being whispered, his voice a venomous hiss.

Then, he was gone, vanishing into the darkness like a wisp of smoke carried away by the wind.

### **Amaria's Regret**

In the silence that followed, Amaria collapsed to her knees. Her hands trembled as she clutched the edges of her cloak, tears streaming down her face.

"This is my fault," she whispered. "I... I let him out."

### **Flashback: The Threat of Malrik**

It had been a quiet evening in the ruins, the torches casting soft shadows across the ancient stone walls. Amaria had been doing her usual rounds, ensuring the sacred place remained undisturbed. The air felt heavier than usual, though, and an uneasy feeling crept over her.

"There's something off tonight," she muttered to herself, her eyes scanning the dimly lit chamber.

A faint sound echoed—a whisper of movement. She turned sharply, her crimson hair swaying as her senses heightened.

"Who's there?" she called, her voice firm.

No response.

Amaria narrowed her eyes and took a cautious step forward. "If someone's here, show yourself!"

Suddenly, a figure materialized from the shadows—a man cloaked in darkness, his presence radiating malevolence. His eyes gleamed with cunning, and his smile was sharp and predatory.

"Good evening," the man said, his tone mocking.

Amaria immediately prepared to defend herself, her hands glowing faintly with chakra. "Who are you?"

The man chuckled, his voice low and menacing. "My name is Malrik. And you, my dear, are going to help me."

"Help you?" she spat, her stance shifting. "Over my dead body!"

Malrik's grin widened. "That can be arranged."

He lunged at her with blinding speed, and though she fought back valiantly, her strength was no match for his. His movements were fluid and precise, as if he were toying with her. Within moments, she found herself pinned to the ground, her body bound by tendrils of dark energy.

Amaria struggled against the restraints, her breathing ragged. "What do you want from me?"

Malrik knelt beside her, his face inches from hers. "I know about the mural. I know what lies within. And I know that you're the key to awakening the King of Smoke."

Her eyes widened in horror. "You... you can't be serious."

"Oh, but I am," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "When the chosen one arrives, you will do exactly as I say. Or..."

He gestured around the chamber, his expression turning cold. "This place—your precious heritage—will be nothing but ash."

Amaria's heart sank. "Why should I trust you?"

"You don't have to," he replied, standing and brushing off his cloak. "But remember this: defy me, and I'll ensure you regret it for the rest of your short, miserable life."

With that, he disappeared into the shadows, leaving Amaria bound and gasping for air.

### **Amaria's Conflict**

As the memory faded, Amaria clenched her fists. She could still feel the phantom weight of the restraints, the suffocating darkness that had threatened to consume her.

"I didn't want this," she murmured, her voice trembling. "I didn't want any of this."
