(Lucas wants involvement for now. Until Peyton gets in his head and needs attention and the world to revolve around her again.)
(She's needy. Helpless and he can never truly reject her or set boundaries.)
(Then where would that leave Eugene? Heartbroken and confused. I won't have that.)
(My parents lack of care and regard for me left scars I still carry.)
(Lucas needs to respect my feelings on this and back off.) Brooke insisted.

Later on that day
Brooke drove to the school to pick up Eugene. And as she entered the school. She was lead into the nurse's office.
Her heart jumping to her throat. At the sight of Eugene. His clothes messed up. He had bruises and cuts on him.
Brooke was fuming. She rushed over to him.
She hugged him tightly. His small body shook. Tears falling from his eyes.
Brooke was fuming. So angry she couldn't stand still.
(Momma has you. It's going to be okay. I love you. I promise.) Brooke proclaimed.

(Brooke is shutting me out. Eugene is my son too.) Lucas proclaimed.
(You have rights Lucas. Brooke has no right to keep you away from Eugene.) Peyton replied.
(What am I supposed to do?) Lucas questioned.
(Tell him the truth. You know his schedule well enough. Eugene should know that he has more than Brooke. His dad has been there all along and Brooke had kept you away.) Peyton added in.
