Care and Comfort
Richie felt better from Tori's sweating it out plan after a couple of days enduring the flu. He was glad he listened to Tori, as well as Tessa. Mac as well. The only feeling he had in his stomach was hunger. He went to look for Tori.
He looked to see Tori holding her hair as she had finished throwing up.
"Are you okay?" Richie asked.
"I'll be fine," Tori nodded, "Just caught the flu."
Richie sighed sadly, knowing how and why she got sick in the first place, "I'm so sorry, Tor. I never meant to get you sick."
"It's all right, silly," Tori smiled, "I knew the risks and I wanted you to feel better. You feel better, right?"
"Yeah," Richie nodded before replying, "Yeah. Thanks to you, I got better and got past the flu. Your aunt came up with a stellar way to overcome the flu."
Tori smiled, "Well, you're better and that's what matters."
She got under the covers to work on overcoming the flu herself.
Richie sighed, "Well, why don't I take care of you, and make you feel better like you done with me? It's the least I can do. Maybe a call with Owen and Lynn will cheer you up."
"I'd like that," replied Tori.
Richie got out a tablet and turned it on. Soon, Owen and Lynn appeared on the screen.
"Hey guys, what's up?" greeted Owen.
"I got sick and now I infected Tori," Richie replied.
"That's strange, I thought Immortals can't get sick," said Lynn.
"Yeah, Immortality is complicated," Tori sighed sheepishly as she coughed.
"I know just what to do to comfort you both," said Owen. "How about I tell you guys the story of how I rescued Lynn from Kevin Draper?"
"Sure," Richie agreed.
"I'd love that," said Tori.
"It's quite the adventure now that I think about it," Lynn admitted. "And it's also the reason why I've been taking shooting lessons and self-defense classes."
Kevin Draper is the teacher of the villains Lyman Kurlow and Derrick Markham. Draper's story will appear in the spin-off story, Watchers: Tales From the Desk, which I will present after the first six books. All I can say is, in a nutshell, it's similar to Duncan's battle against Caleb Cole.
Tori Gordon and the universe Earth N are owned by, PhoenixRisingfromAshes007. Do not worry, I got permission to use them. Now remember this, Tori lives on Earth N, while Owen lives on Earth 1. Earth N1 is a universe where Defender Chronicles and Highlander: The Avenger have a crossover. I have suggested it to PhoenixRisingfromAshes007 for the future.
This explains in PhoenixRisingfromAshes007's story why Richie is absent from Avenging Angel and like in my story, Owen and Lynn are sightseeing currently.
